haha. no full ref. or colors. fuck you. i uhnm.
gonna be honest impulse's design is one i struggled with!! went with a fairlyyy simple one!! hes just a little hybrid creeper guy bc i can and he has a creeper shirt and yeah :)
little details: - clock is on his shoulder strap. he might have a bag but if he does its on his back bc i dont care :) - has a silly fluffy tail. very spiky. yes. - the scars around his mouth are bc creepers look like that. theyre silly. - daph did make me do this :( (she didnt really. i complained to her tho.) - ring around his horn from double life - broken/scarred horns + scar on ears from each life season :D - the rest of his design is really simple <3
#sighhh so sleepy eepy.#skizz is up next. in theory#limited life#impulsesv#my art u silly billies dont take it

>Inverse Theory<
The theory that the entire life series is being viewed in reverse.
The games end when Grian finally wins that which he created in 3rd Life, freeing the players.
Ok. So hear me out. There is alot of it that doesn't make sense, mostly character wise, but let's put all of that to the side for one moment to entertain this.
-Cleo and Etho have a divorce arc in limited life. Funny, but they barely interacted in double life. Now, at the time of this writing, they have a wonderful duo going on in secret life.... hmm. Interesting
-Martyn has said his canon reasoning behind Lizzie and Mumbo not being in double life was because the previous season was too traumatic for them and they needed more time to recover. If we apply this logic going from Last life to 3rd, the logic still applies.
-This also would mean Skizz wasn't in double because limited life was painful for him... yeah. Ouch.
-Now I haven't seen Lizzie's last life pov all the way through, but she was a fairy queen, correct? And Ren was her bodyguard. Her second in command. I like the idea of Ren becoming a king in 3rd because of that.
-This also makes Pearl's descent into madness in double life a bit sadder, but with a happy ending of her and Scott teaming next season (last life)
-Bdubs kills Impulse the one time he forgets to give him a clock.... oof
-There is also very funny things with this theory, like Grian throwing an axe into Scar's back and then waking up as his soulmate. (Which would also explain why he didn't want to team with him in last life)
Ok that's all in my brain rn, don't take this too seriously as it's not a theory I think is canon or should be, but its a fun idea to spin around I think. Feel free to add stuff !

Let's talk about what Winner's Theory means for the next season of Life SMP, and what we could see depending on who wins Secret Life.
Disclaimer: I know this is just a theory and they don't actually base the new games off of the winners of the previous season, but that's the fun of theorizing.
Etho - Underselling himself, no longer the best at PVP, but with a long legacy of obliterating all competition in death games. Loyal to a fault to his team, with no expectations from them in return. A bit similar to how Scott plays in terms of his alliances, but more likely to be hostile towards others outside of his group. We could see another season similar to Double Life, with game-mechanic incentive to keep your teammates safe at all cost.
Cleo - Similar to Etho, but with a lot more arson. She's also loyal to her team, but if anyone crosses her they will be her biggest target, regardless of a previous alliance. You cannot betray Cleo without life altering consequences. You get one chance and then it's over. I would expect something that will be ruthless and unforgiving if you make the wrong move. Something that feels like stepping on eggshells.
Sidenote: Cleo is the only member of the Divorce Quartet without a win so far, and it would really tickle me if this was her season.
Joel - He's a leader, but also distant from his pack. Only one in his alliance to live outside their walls. First one on yellow. Started a cult. He's with them but he's also with himself. His game is vengeance, for Lizzie, for Jimmy, for Mumbo. His season will be brutal. It will start out brutal and it will end brutally. Players will be picking themselves up from the floor the minute they spawn in. Imagine a season where everyone starts in the Nether. That's Joel's revenge.
Bigb - You thought Cleo was gaslight? This man can pack some fire in his words. And what a season for it! His alliance is pretty much doomed, trying to pull themselves out of the wreckage, but he's got plans that go beyond Skizz and Tango. Right from the get-go with his first task he's marked as the odd one out. He gives out lies like they're candy, and not just for his own preservation, but for FUN. His winner's season will be built on chaos, not knowing where you stand among everyone else, and rewarded for tricking and betraying others. This will be the return of the Boogeyman.
Gem - Big risks, big rewards, bigger fury. The newest member of the series and defying all odds to earn her place in victory, in her season players will face challenges they've never seen before, but will be stronger beyond measure if they come out alive on the other end. Regardless of which life you're on, you'll have just as much chance of winning right up to the end, but the victor must be prepared to risk it all for their spot of glory. This will not be a season to shrink back from and make logical plans before acting. One must have quick feet.
Impulse - Almost the opposite of Gem, Impulse has taken his time, patience is his virtue. He's been so close to winning, but he'll know when the time is right to strike. He'll do whatever it takes, but it will be intentional and planned. I anticipate his season will be one with rough terrain, similar to the big rift in the middle of the Double Life map dividing everyone across a chasm. Reaching other players will be treacherous by foot, but ripe for planning elaborate traps and schemes to secure the win. Most certainly players will need to work hard for it.
Scar - Lone wolves roam free! He's been forced to work for himself alone this season, and so far he's reaped plenty rewards! The next season will give players a motive to work alone, and they will have to build themselves up using their own ingenuity and wits. Making yourself look like an underdog will be vital, stealing will be even more necessary, and the world will be ripe for monopolies. It's a real war out there, and you can't trust anyone.

SKIZZLEMAN WEEK LETS GOO!!!! May not have actually written and finished something for like two years BUT SKIZZLEMAN WEEK IS MORE POWERFUL THAN PROCRASTINATION!!!!
Thank you @skizzlemanweek for organizing and creating these prompts!
Prompt 1: Silent/Shout
-
It had been a weirdly silent few weeks on Magic Mountain.
Well, kind of. Of course, with seven hermits nearby and many more in horse riding distance, real silence is quite a rare phenomenon. But for the residents around Magic Mountain, an uncomfortable stillness louder than expected had settled into their hearts lately. As she cleans out the bones of her latest catch, Gem remembers mentioning it to Impulse recently.
"I didn't realize how much the man talks until he was gone. And now I'm like: Oh, this is what it's like for there to be silence, actually!"
The man in question? None other than Skizzleman, of course! Who isn't dead, just on some off-server business of some kind. At least that's what he told Gem and the others before leaving.
She rolls her eyes fondly at how Scar started talking about some conspiracy theory of his where Skizz is some heaven-sent spy barely a tick after Skizz took his leave. A rant that resulted in poor Mumbo explaining to a confused Joel that Scar's comic-book hero phase last season had some lasting side effects.
She unceremoniously drops the fish bones into the river outside her new anglerfish-shaped fish shop. They hit the water with a small splash before sinking into the murkiness below. Gotta give back to the river! Otherwise, it'll get mad. That's basic fisherwoman knowledge.
When she turns to head back inside so she can put the fish on the cutting boards away, her eyes catch the faint silhouette of Skizz's pyramid in the distance. The sight of it makes the silence around her somehow more prevalent. A sigh leaves her. She misses him. She never thought that the silence he leaves behind would suck this much.
But as she heads back inside, Gem reminds herself that she won't need to miss him for long. He said he'd only be gone for a few weeks, so he's due to be back pretty soon. Then she can go back to poking him for being old or something. In fact, she can almost hear him shout an overdramatic "HEYYY!" already as she points out that-
Wait.
She quickly drops the floppy boneless salmon in the chilled chest and rushes out the door. She may have a good imagination, but it's not THAT good! She looks around rapidly until her eyes catch something. Two figures in the distance. She squints, but it doesn't really help, so she pulls out a spyglass instead.
She can't help but gasp in surprised happiness when she spots familiar feathery wings and a bright spinning halo. It's Skizz! He's back!
Of course, Impulse stands next to him, his demonic tail flapping wildly in excitement. They seem to already be caught up in a conversation. Typical them, can't leave each other alone for five seconds. Seems like the perfect time for her to come and deliver some made-with-love Gem Punches!
But just as she's about to put the spyglass down and run over, she spots a shocking change in Impulse's facial expression. The happy smile decorating his face melts in a tick into something unreadable. (Fear? Annoyance? Teasing? A mix of that and more?) Confused, Gem stops and pans the spyglass over to Skizz's face. Is he…Is he making kissy faces at Impulse-?
Before she can even process what's going on, Impulse looks in her general direction and RUNS. Full-on sprints at top speed in a manner Gem would be impressed he could do if she wasn't so caught off guard. The spyglass quickly disappears into her inventory as she watches him approach with Skizz hot on his heels.
"GEM!!! HELP!!!" Impulse shouts in a clearly overdramatic tone.
"You can't run forever Dipple Dop!!!" Skizz cackles manically.
"What are you idiots doing?!" She tries to put on a tone of playful annoyance, but her amusement leaks through like water through a hole in a boat.
"He's gonna kiss me on the cheek, Gem!!! You gotta help me!!!" Impulse squeals as he runs around in circles on the shore, skillfully dodging Skizz's attempts to grab him.
Gem can't help it. She bursts out laughing so hard it almost hurts her throat. These dudes, she swears. Obviously, if Impulse was actually uncomfortable with the situation he'd tell Skizz, and they wouldn't have a silly goose chase on her front lawn, so she feels rather justified in cackling at his supposed misfortune. And she only laughs harder when Impulse lets out various desperate noises of desperation, which are comical enough that Skizz has to stop his chase because he's laughing too hard. His hands land on his knees as he completely loses it together with Gem. Impulse giggles and stops in his tracks instead of running further, all but confirming that they're just messing around.
"Wow, Gem! I beg for your help, and you laugh at me? I thought we were friends!" He says in an overly hurt tone while crossing his arms and sniffling dramatically.
Gem opens her mouth to respond, but before a single syllable leaves her, Skizz pounces on Impulse and finally scores his victory by snagging a smooch on the man's cheek. He even manages to catch Impulse in a hug. Gem lets out something between a cheer and an "awwwwwww!" as Impulse wiggles in his best friend's grasp.
"I missed you, Dipple Dop!" Skizz says with happy sincerity as he squeezes said Dipple Dop.
"Missed ya too buddy" Impulse responds, sounding like he's getting all air wrung out of him. He pats Skizz on the back. Skizz, in turn, lets him go and turns his eyes to Gem, still standing in the mouth of her anglerfish. He wastes no time jumping into the river, splashing water everywhere, and then swimming over to her.
"And I missed you too, Gemstone!" He cheers as she helps him up onto the solid (?) ground.
Gem can't help but smile as she tackles him for a hug of her own. As his sturdy and comfy arms wrap around her she feels, more than hears, how the hush around Magic Mountain fades away as one of its seven lively mountaineers has come home once again.

Secret Life Tarot Reading no 7.
It's Etho's turn!
This is the last reading done prior to Ep 4s! Which is mildly annoying to myself cuz I was really hoping to get more of them done this week... Anyway! I didn't know what color to use for Etho so I picked purple cuz no one else left is gonna be purple.
First Card - Start
I've drawn The Star in Reverse to describe the (now passed) start of the season for Etho. I'm really feeling like this is about his first task from the secret keeper. This card is talking about an initial (albeit probably short lived or simply just fake) arrogance. That's then followed by feeling overwhelmed. I really don't wanna spoil for those who haven't seen it so I'm not sure there's much else I can say. This is past tense too so...
Second Card - Individual
This card is meant to describe how Etho plays Secret Life. For this I drew the Nine Of Cups. This card talks about comfort and accomplishment and I'm thinking he's probably just trying to have some fun. Which makes sense to me! So far Etho's pov gives a much more chill vibe than the other's who have at least some air of competitiveness.
Third Card - Social
This card is meant to describe how things go for Etho in the social aspect this season. I drew the Eight Of Wands. This card talks about direction and being back on track. Maybe we're talking about Etho and Cleo here. They are teamed up this season after their whole divorced family thing in Limited Life. But there's a line in my deck's manual that I'd like to quote because... wow lmao. "The ideas and opinions of the flock are no longer in the way."
... Tango, Impulse, and Skizz really getting dissed by a deck of cards huh? Now I'm not so sure that's what she's getting at here but this was too funny of a concept not to share haha.
Other than that this could be talking about outside Cleo and Etho's team as well. Or, even more interestingly, particular times this season! Maybe he does really well with avoiding letting the others distract him too much from his tasks for example. How fun!
Fourth Card - Big Impact
This card is meant to describe what makes the biggest impact for Etho. I drew Death in Reverse. This card discusses being resistant to necessary change which then holds him back. There's honestly a lot of ways this could manifest. Firstly he could be dealing with alliance trouble which seems unlikely. Then there's the option that this alligns with a task. It could also crop up socially with Etho maybe holding a grudge that only serves to cause him more problems to keep.
Fifth Card - End
I drew the Seven Of Pentacles in Reverse for the ending of Etho's season. This card represents doubt and how short term positives can cause more harm for the long term. This is very very broad and could apply in a lot of different areas but... well maybe not a win prediction here huh?
Final Thoughts and Theories:
This reading was painful... literally. I don't know why but while I was drawing the cards I got this awful burning sensation on my palms. Like it felt as if I'd just tripped and scrapped my hands on like a newer-ish sidewalk ya know? It was only during the selection process so uh... I dunno what that was about. But I did pick the cards a bit quicker this time so that's nice! My indecision usually causes QUITE the delay lmao.
So I don't exactly think this was predicting Etho as our winner here. With our 2nd card though I highly doubt he'd be too upset over it. This reading feels a lot more broad and open ended almost. It's hard for me to say much in the way of my usual ideas for how the cards predictions may manifest.
'Til next time friends!

"The phone rings in the middle of the night... My father yells 'Whatcha gonna do with your life!?'"
---
New Dog's Life chapter today! Still a Traffic SMP fan-season, even if it doesn't look like one in the first 1,000 words, ha ha.
Chapter 4 - “Simmer (Scott)”
Read on AO3
Start from Chapter 1
---
MCC's exhausting and therapy's expensive, but having Scar and Skizz catapult you into your Hot Boy Summer arc is free. It's the Scott chapter, folks! This man has never done anything shady in his life. He's just building a sushi restaurant... and definitely doesn't have unfinished paperwork sniffing at his heels.
(First 1,000 words under the cut)
💚 💛 ❤️
Minecrafters like to move in circles. It’s the first thing they burn into your head back in City Planning 101. They like to keep you in their sights. They dance sideways. They sometimes swap into third-person view. They move like prey even on Peaceful, which is awful when you think about it - about how deeply embedded in your code that sort of thing is - but hey… It’s not wrong. They are prey. So when Scott first built New Star Station back in the day, he opted for curved walls and a fairly open floor plan. Brings the gals and pals to the yard like dust-moths to a redstone flame.
And no windows. Everyone thinks they want windows - thinks they want to see the washed-out pink of the Between Dimension’s sky and its fluffy red and white trees - but they don’t. They really don’t. In this dimension, the mobs don’t stop spawning just because you lit the ground up. There’s a reason every floor tile in this station is coated in half-slabs and carpets. They’ve built themselves a world, built themselves a home, they play their little games…
But the “no windows” policy will remain no matter how many requests pile up in his office. Windows showcasing Between’s hazel and crabapple trees, its fireflies, its mooblooms, its mice, its zombie horses, and those gemstone-flecked blocks that coat the natural ground are aesthetic in theory, but horrid in execution. Once you have windows, you start asking more questions. You start checking over your shoulder. You start asking for weapons. And that’s not the vibe. In New Star Station, they’re “safe.” They have quartz floors, mossy cobble, and dark oak wood. It’s cute. It’s home. They can pretend the outside world isn’t living in total anarchy.
No one likes the reminder that they’re prey.
“Scott,” says Scar behind him as they round the next hallway curve, because as much as Scott loves him, Scar wouldn’t get a memo if you flooded his inventory with several stacks of 64. Scar’s trying to hustle, using his cane to push himself forward a little more than he should. He might slip. Scar’s fingers graze the back of Scott’s jacket sleeve. “What’s your favorite block from the outside?”
Scott spares him half a glance. Looks right at his pine-green eyes, which is a mistake. It’s easier to stay in character when he’s actually on a server - when he’s staring down a presentation of his friends instead of this… this out of roleplay version of themselves. Scar’s not in his wooden puppet skin anymore; they’re not on the Dog’s Life server. He’s wearing his rumpled brown coat and explorer’s fedora. His spiky blue wings flutter behind him, non-functional but sentimental. And he’s got algae-coated eyes.
Scott would like to claw the algae straight off him.
“Leaves,” he says. It’s not untrue. But Scar picks up on that instantly, because he’s Scar and can dance his tongue like a snake doing ballet. It’s almost insulting, actually, how many hours Scott put into this hallway design just for Scar to tune it all out (Most people use the bullet path; Scar can’t, Scar always walks, doesn’t compliment the block palette). Scar half-tosses his cane, catching it in his hand. He hustles after Scott without planting that thing down on the floor. Just shuffling, just playing the syrupy sweet character…
It’s all a show. The man just glitched a whole server - so much paperwork; gotta file Grian’s incident reports - and he’s still trotting about with no cares in the world and triple aces up his sleeve. Scar’s not baggy-eyed and bristle-tailed. There’s no long nights waiting for him. No people to please. It must be nice to roll around in someone else’s sandbox. See, Scott built this playground, but he can never lose himself in it. And he didn’t even build a playground. New Star’s a bunker dressed in tinsel and glitter.
“Oh really?” (About the leaves). Scar’s voice is honey and hums. He slams one arm around Scott’s shoulders, which Scott winces at because it almost flickers him out of his human persona- almost startles a side of himself he doesn’t like to show. Scar sweeps his cane around, gently tapping the top of it to the bottom of Scott’s chin. It’s spruce wood, the cane. Scott can tell from the smell of it; even the polish doesn’t hide that. Scar presses the cane’s curve innocently at his mouth. “Scott, you have just secured your place as my favorite mayor in New Star’s history.”
“I’m the only mayor in…”
“Leaves,” Scar plows on, completely ignoring him, “are one of the most beautiful blocks in the game. In fact, I’ve been thinking! I’ve been thinking for a while now. I keep meaning to ask if I can have a tree outside my portal, which I think would balance out my mailbox. Big and little! Comparison contrast. You know I hate paperwork, though… Hey, what do the leaves look like in this dimension anyway? Maybe instead of getting an import, I should go the authentic route.”
Scott’s eye twitches up. He doesn’t throw Scar’s arm away from his neck, but it takes an extra breath - which is not a good sign - to keep it together; keep the truest part of himself tucked inside his code. Scar’s easily spooked and already had a rough day. Can’t keep a secret either. Scott’s not in the mood for coming out to him. Instead he says, “Scaaar,” in a gently patient, sort of in character kind of tone. He turns his head, smiling, and gives a little tilt. Because nothing bothers him, because he’s Scott, and it’s his playground and everyone else is running around in it. “You, sir, are setting yourself up to be a bad example… Why are you asking about outside blocks?”
Nat 1 on intimidation. Scar hums like a bumblebee, pressing his cane a little tighter against the base of Scott’s neck. They haven’t stopped walking; he doesn’t take his mouth away from Scott’s pointed ear.
“Why, they sound like fun to build with, Smajor! Are you hoarding pretty blocks?” Lips so close, hitboxes shuffling, lips passing straight through skin in a way that sends goosepixels shrieking up his neck like lightning. Scar’s fingers clench in his shoulder. “Can’t a man want to play around with new ceiling tiles? Why! You’re a ragged little ferret hoarding ceiling tiles, aren’t you?” And he thunks the cane tip against Scott’s chin. Scott’s on auto-pilot; he smacks the back of his hand against Scar’s cheek, which finally gets him slinking off.
“Between’s natural blocks are ugly. You wouldn’t use them anyway.” It’s like spoonfeeding carrot mush to a baby.

A detailed ramble about how This Is Home perfectly fits SoD!Etho as a character
For anybody who doesn't know what the SoD AU is, basically for the long answer, scroll through the au tag at the bottom of this post, for the short answer, httyd au focused on Etho and Skizz. they both have trauma Please note that this ramble will have vague spoliers for the first fic in the series, Aloft, and very vague spoilers for the rest of the series. You can read that first if you are interested! (Aloft is only 5 chapters)
ALSO! After the first verse I had to cut it to a reblog because I may have exceeded the tumblr post character limit and therefore the post couldn't post lol
------
Often I am upset that I cannot fall in love but I guess This avoids the stress of falling out of it So while in the song it's talking about romantic love (which does fit Etho. they're aroace in every au I made), it does fit how Etho feels about friendship until after Dragon Island because they could never make connections because they were an outsider who didn't talk about their past, who wore a mask and kept their hair in front of their eyes, who faced every attempt at friendship with a harsh tongue. Are you tired of me yet? I'm a little sick right now but I swear When I'm ready I will fly us out of here Following with the above, it isn't until the events of Lantern that they actually let go of that fear of abandonment, and honestly yeah that's all. Also the references to flying fit Etho's whole dragonkin thing very well. I'll cut my hair To make you stare So while this has never been stated in any of the fics yet, when Etho arrived on Berk, they had pretty long hair. I'd say past their shoulders. This might've been a thing used to tease them (it was). So, they cut it to just below their ears. I'll hide my chest And I'll figure out a way to get us out of here This is literally the only line I can't connect to Etho out of the whole song so just pressing skip on this one <3 Turn off your porcelain face Etho hides their emotions (or at least doesn't show when they're nearing a breaking point) for quite a while, and Skizz keeps trying to help them pick up the pieces afterwards. I can't really think right now in this place There's too many colors enough to drive all of us insane So this one (along with the next few lines) has two meanings in how I think about it. 1-Etho is very much neurodivergent. Specifically they have BPD (and potentially AVPD) and are autistic. They deal with sensory overload every once and a while and it tends to be really bad when it's connected to the other students. 2-The Hidden World is full of colors, and it is the place Etho escapes to, and they don't have to think about everything on the surface for a bit. Are you dead? Sometimes I think I'm dead 'Cause I can feel ghosts and ghouls wrapping my head Again, two meanings. 1-Etho's whole dragonkin thing again. A common belief held among otherkin individuals is reincarnation and/or the multiverse theory. While I'm not going to state exactly what Etho believes is the reason they have the soul of a dragon, I do like this little reference to it. 2-Etho's experienced some pretty bad trauma, and that combined with how they're , kinda leaves them thinking that their past self is dead and they're haunted by the ghosts of another life. But I don't wanna fall asleep just yet I mean Etho is stated to have really bad and somewhat commonly reoccurring nightmares in Lantern so there's that.

current list of theories as to why my ren summoning ritual didn't work as intended, with Ren only returning through possession of Tango:
-main theory: when i realized i'd accidentally set fire to the whole area, my concentration on the ritual was interrupted and i tried to put out the fire before realizing this could mess up the ritual and quickly getting back to it but not unaffected by the fire. the disruption probably messed with the ritual
-theory 2: the ritual DID work but not as intended and Ren is now haunting my singleplayer world like herobrine
-theory 3: I didn't think to canonize that part of my galactic chanting translates to "and be reunited with your Hand once more" until after the ritual
-theory 4: it needs a significant location like a mountaintop or dark oak forest, and where I went wrong was basically doing the ritual in my backyard
-theory 5: I didn't do enough ally invocation. The concept of including iconography from a player close to Ren was part of the ritual since the early stages of its devision, but doing just Martyn and Lizzie wasn't enough, you'd need Skizz and BigB
-theory 6: the blood sacrifice can't be just anyone. I cured a random zombie villager that wandered into my backyard and used it.
-theory 7: i should hang dogwarts banners next time

Ok. Let's try-
1.) You're making me choose? Really? *Sighs* Fine. Most likely Jimmy, since I watch him a LOT. But then, I also watch Grian too- And Scar is so funny in his videos... And Skizz brings so many great stories to the series! And Pearl has the best arcs in the series, plus Martyn being king of lore-
2.) Desert Duo. Need I say more than they have been here since the beginning of this series' time.
3.)
4.) Um. I don't know much about them except for the hints and clues I've managed to pick up from fans, but I love messing around with their roles in my fanon version of the Life Series/ HermitCraft/Empires.
5.) This is a question that I always flip flop between LimL and DL for, but for question matters rn, I'd say Limited Life. The story arcs were at their peak, the chaos levels were rising (The only out of context video to be higher than LimL's 19 minute one, was SL at a whopping 22!), and I feel almost every single persons death was cinematic or tragic in some way shape or form.
6.) I wouldn't. What would probably happen is that I would have only a half decent iron pic an hour into the session, and then some people would take pity on me and adopt me into their team. I would also be the new canary in a coal mine. (That's probably why all my friends say I'm jimmy.)
7.) Grian & Scar. While they had one of the more fractured relationships in the season, they managed to make the relationship fanfic angsty so that fans would enjoy it, whether that was intentional or not, and they probably had one of the best stories in double life, and I found it so entertaining watching both their POV's in that series.
8.) Oh gosh. The only death to ever make me truly cry on its own cannon appearance. And it's hard to make me cry. Skizz's final Limited Life death. The way that Skizz handles his situation compared to how his friends react is absolutely heartbreaking. Especially how emphasized this scene was in Lemobread's animatic "Untied" (Let's pray I got that channel name right)
9.) If by this question you mean theories, then I will say there have been multiple things that have made me go, "OH MY GOD. THAT WAS GOOD." The best one that I can name off of the top of my head right now, is the theory that the watchers have killed Jimmy first in every season (except SL) and I'll be honest, I have not worked with this theory as much as I have worked with others, but it's still the best theory that absolutely blew up my mind.
10.) Uh. So, IM IN THE FUTURE~ So, I've known the winner is Scar since last month. But, i will answer the question of who do you want to win in the next season (if there is one) and I will go with the unpopular opinion of not saying Joel, and instead saying Impulse! The only reason that I want this to happen, is the fact that Impulse plays his card right when editing his videos and making stories for the life series, so I would have to think if he won, it would make for the greatest story arc in Life history.
11.) To be honest, I honestly don't think the life series need anybody else. I do remember seeing something somewhere saying that sausage should join, and, to be fair, I think he would add onto the series nicely. Although, in all honesty, 18 characters is enough for me to work with.
12.) I don't intend this to be the way it is, and as I remember someone quoting from Martyn once, "Everyone has their own story to tell." I do just think that BigB gets pushed to the side in my mind because I don't find him involved in many storylines through the series. Sure, he had secret soulmates with Grian, but on the main plot train, he gets pushed back to the caboose. I do think this is mostly because A: He's not involved in any ships (At least ones that i ship) B: He really builds no plot in his videos (From what I've seen) C: he's only truly known for cookies, Betraying Cleo, secret soulmates, and him going absolute gaslight mode. So, in the end, Bigb is this character that I don't truly care for, but its not because he's boring or mean, in fact, sometimes he'll say the most ridiculous thing and III spit soda out my 3 nostrils (ha ha, box boys, haha... ha...) its just the fact that he's on the edge of my main lore train.
13.) Ohhhhh I see! You want me to type out all my lore! No- haha I'll spare people that after reading that ridiculously long paragraph about why I don't focus on BigB in my lore. But, yes, I do see these universes as connected, in fact, since this universe that I've fannonized had been sitting in my brainrot stew for about 2 years, I've gone as far to even say that HC 1-8, ESMP 1, and 3rd & Last Life are all in one universe, until Grian looses all his friends, whether its by magic rune blade, or his boyfriend dissolving into the void, then he decides to restart the world, in which all his friends are back, but are reborn, they relearn, they reform friendships, without their memories. But, by the time Grian discovers his past self, its about the time of when they were first all in 3rd life together, so he feels as though its his one job in his new world to get it right this time, and keep all his friends safe from the watchers, and from heartbreak and tragedy.
14.) Grian basically structures the life series like the hunger games in my fannon. He tweaked a few respawn chips that he borrowed from hermitcraft (Respawn chips is basically my way of getting around Minecraft's respawning system), and set them to three lives, eventually adding more mechanisms to them as the series continued. But, when players die, they basically end up in this "lobby" where they can either stay in the white box that is the lobby, or go on and spectate the world as a ghost.
15.) Like I said earlier, Jimmy. Ever since I wanted to watch his POV in empires, I've adored his editing style and just his story and plot, and I've stuck with him since.
(Ok, that was a lot of typing- I don't think I've ever typed this much in my life! *chuckles in saying the word life* gosh the brain rot is KILLING ME)

Here's some fun, non-to-lightly spoilery Rift AU thoughts for everyone!
So Ren in Rift AU is inspired by the faon interpretation [maybe closer to canon? I havent watched s7] of Mayor Scar mixed w the Red King from 3rd Life - Specifically, Ren is inspired by @mochiwrites's Scar in her Good Crimes AU [Which if you haven't read you ABSOLUTELY should]. I just love how she wrote Scar to be publicly one way and Privately another, and while I certainly don't imagine that Ren the King is quite as beloved, the inspiration is there.
Originally, Rift AU was tagged w Watcher Grian but I changed that because I want to mess with the Rift as it's own separate force and leave the Watchers for something else. I think the Watchers [And Listeners! *looks at Martyn*] function more as an ancient, ANCIENT religion, maybe even older than the ancient cities.
Also another original idea that's been put to the side for now is that the Warden was a watcher - I don't know where I was originally going with that idea, but it was my first pivot after deciding Grian wasn't going to be the watcher.
For anyone curious, and because I don't know if I'll name it directly in the stories or just leave it more ambiguous, I'm basing Scar's mobility issues and chronic pain off my own experiences with Cerebral Palsy, among other things. I have a very mild for of Cerebral Palsy that left me with a weaker right side and mobility issues and I absolutely wanted to make sure Scar was still disabled even if he isn't wheelchair bound. I imagine that he certainly has a wheelchair for bad days, but those would be like. Really bad days. The staff - to - cane that he has, made out of the same magical wood as his tree, is probably good for most of the sort of bad days.
Rift AU actually started as a way for me to explore sculk and ancient cities in fiction, which is funny given that we are now 17k in and counting with no mention of either. I have plans for it, but the story needed more work up than I was originally anticipating, which is great! I'm really enjoying returning to my roots with fanfiction, which is the whole reason I started writing Rift AU in the first place
Obviously I'm sort of picking and choosing what elements from hermitcraft [and the life series] I want to include in Rift AU but I am a little bit grumpy that I started writing it before I really fully understood the king plot [When I started, I had only watched Grian and Etho. Now I've caught up on Ren, Impulse, Mumbo, and Cleo, with plans to watch Pearl, Tango, Zedaph, and Doc next. I also really want to watch Beef and Iskall lol] because now I really wanna jam the whole royal council shenanigans in there and I'm not gonna be able to without probably retconning Scar and Ren's relationship which I refuse to do!
Obviously, Mumscarian and Treebark are in the story, and there's also going to be platonic Soup Group and platonic Team ZITS [bc. Skizz deserves to be here. I love him]. I won't tell you ALL of the pairings that end up in the story because a. I feel like we're be here all day but b. some of them are spoilers but I AM planning on having Solidaritek [Apparently team ranchers is only for platonic or something???] and ZedBeef and also Ethubs all make their own appearances. There might even be some like short stories following a few of the other couples in the story because I have attachments to Ethubs in particular. IDK if you can tell but Etho is my favorite hermit and I used to watch him all the way back in 2011 on his singleplayer world. I remember the boat dispenser. My baby girl.
One of these days I will genuinely type up an essay about my latent energy theory but in case anyone else is interested here's a very short tldr version: Redstone, Glowstone, End Rods, debatably sculk [I havent decided if it falls into the same category yet tbh], etc etc all power themselves via latent energy. That latent energy is compatible with electricity in some way, as evidenced by the fact that lightning rods can be used to power redstone machines, but it's different. More in between electricity and magic - either because it actually is or because it's not as understood by the people who work it. That same latent energy is the stuff magic feeds off, like is seen in Changing of the Season to help rejuvenate Scar. Whatever it is is old. Older than the Ancient Cities since they knew to build redstone machines to distract the Warden. It's older than the end cities, too, since end rods exist. Arguably it has always been and will always be around in some way.
Also this might not interest anyone else but thoughts on vampires and elves. Vampires are more closely related to Zombies, whereas Elves [Who are Fae, which means the Vex are included here] are more closely related to Endermen than anything [<- that will come up again] - and then the Warden and sculk are like. Very distant cousins of vampires. Sort of. Their trees connect somewhere.

Skizz is joining Hermitcraft in S10: A Conspiracy Theory
For people who saw the HermlympZITS stream and suddenly went "wait. is Skizz joining Hermitcraft?!" I present: a list of evidence some friends and I have slowly been gathering over the past year to support our theory that Skizz is joining in S10. We've been in full pepe silvia mode for a while now.
Evidence One: GIGS phasmo.
twitch_clip
So this was one of the very first GIGS phasmo streams, from before they even had the GIGS name, and this clip was provided by Annie @/iconicanemone who pointed out the ending of it. ("I can't wait to hotguy you, Skizz... almost spoiled something.") We considered for a while that it might be referring to the upcoming Limited Life, since that had just been announced at the time, but we weren't 100% convinced. Hotguy was, at the time, more of a Hermitcraft bit than a general Scar bit, and in Double Life, which had also come out post-the creation of Hotguy (hey guys S9 is so fucking long), it hadn't made any appearances. Scar talking about hotguying Skizz, and then cutting himself off for fear of spoiling something?
They had to be talking about Hermitcraft, right?
Evidence Two: Xisuma's Youtube Shorts.
Midway through S9, Xisuma started making youtube shorts where he asked the hermits to answer as many questions incorrectly in 45 seconds as they could. The videos are pretty fun, but very quickly there was one question that stood out to us: "Who will be next to join Hermitcraft?" A question that would be useless if they had not, in fact, chosen who would be next to join Hermitcraft, because if they didn't know then there wouldn't be a right or a wrong answer. So we know that by the point in the season that X started asking that question, they had chosen somebody to join in S10.
Enter Impulse.
"Who will be next to join Hermitcraft?" "Skizzleman. Oh dang it!"
Hey. Hey Impulse. Weird way to react to getting a question wrong in a game where that's your goal. But if, say, he'd accidentally gotten the question right...
I feel like I don't need to explain that one I feel like that's pretty cut and dry. Moving on.
Evidence Three: the Imp & Skizz Podcast
I will admit that this one is more conjecture than anything else but also. This is a conspiracy theory it's built on conjecture and our collective emotional instability. Let's talk about the Imp and Skizz podcast.
I will say that I tend to listen to the audio versions over the Youtube versions, so I don't have the nuance of facial expressions, and I would be willing to concede that I picked up the wrong vibe here, however: has anyone else noticed that Skizz gets suspiciously quiet when Hermitcraft comes up? Sure, I believe that it could very well be a sense of "this is Impulse's thing, not mine, let me keep my mouth shut and let him take the floor" but purely based on vibes it doesn't feel that way to me? It feels like Skizz is staying quiet so he doesn't accidentally say too much. Almost like he's got an invite to Hermitcraft--
And then, of course, there's Scar's episode.
"We get together with not only all of us from Hermitcraft, but we also have other people outside of the Hermitcraft bubble, that's really fun. When do we get to talk to Scott, or Jimmy, or Joel, or any of those guys?"
Hey it's funny how even when he's talking to Skizz, Scar doesn't list Skizz when he's rattling off the names of non-hermit life series members. He could have added "and you, Skizz" and that would be a really natural part of the conversation, but he. doesn't. And the specific phrasing of "all of us from Hermitcraft" also makes my conspiracy spidey-senses go off. It feels like he's including Skizz as a hermit in this conversation.
Almost like he's got an invite to Hermitcraft--
Evidence Four: Something Else Scar Said
Okay so while finding links for this post I also found this message I'd sent in discord a while back.
I have no idea what stream this would have been and so cannot track down a clip but I am submitting it to the court as evidence anyway because I am a sham.
Evidence Five: HermlympZITS Stream
I did not watch this stream and neither did any of my conspiracy friends afaik but it has been all over my dash for days. You all know. You've seen the clips. I can't be bothered to track them down. But they have tipped me over from "this is a fun trip into conspiracy but secretly I wouldn't be surprised if we're wrong" to "VINDICATION we win these hermit!Skizz CONFIRMED."
....So. Yeah. There's my conspiracy theory. Take my evidence, feel free to add your own. We can all lose our minds in this chillis tonight.
It's so funny seeing everyone get on the hermit!Skizz conspiracy theory train now when my friends and I have been knee-deep in this for like a year now.
#magpie chirping#can you tell i've been watching a lot of video essays lately#anyway come play with me in this space. hold my hands. hermit!skizz season 10 confirmed i know this.#i've known this. now you know it too.#(/silly)#shoutout to doc and slinky and annie for going down this rabbit hole with me over this past year its been fun <3

I think you mean the opposite? Maybe I'm just reading wrong but I think the theory is that Skizz is the source/origin/patient zero of the boogey curse because the only season post-3rd life to NOT have the boogey curse was Double Life, which also did not have Skizz. Last Life, Limited Life, and Secret Life all had some form of the Boogey curse, and Skizz was part of all of them. So the theory is that the pure manic bloodlust of Skizz's final moments in 3rd Life spawned the boogey curse in some way. Skizz mentioned liking this theory (that he originally found on Reddit) on the pod when they were talking about The Life Series.
EVERYTHING UNDER THE READ MORE IS ME THEORIZING FOR FUNSIES. LET ME COOK OKAY. I COOKED WITH THIS. PLEASE READ
There's also the fact that Skizz has NEVER been Boogey naturally, one of the only three people to have that title. The other two are Grian, a Watcher, and Cleo, who is undead. And it makes sense that Skizz has never gotten infected, you can't corrupt something that's already there. (YES I KNOW ABOUT SECRET LIFE BUT SHHH I HAVE AN EXPLANATION FOR THAT JUST YOU WAIT-)
Personally, I like the idea of the Watchers noticing the potential of Skizz's lingering madness after 3rd Life and using it to weave the boogey curse for their next killing game. I mean, he was the first to truly spill blood by perma-killing both Jimmy and Cleo before dying himself, what better source could you get for a curse hellbent on spilling as much blood as fast as possible?
You can also say that, in a way, the Boogey Curse is a dark reflection of Skizz. What Skizz's bloodlust is without the rationalizations and justifications he makes for himself. Skizz is at his heart loyal and honest, and he's always been that. He says and usually does only aim his manic bloodlust at those who he thinks deserve it. But at the end of the day, no matter how pretty you dress it up, Skizz's bloodlust is still violent and crazed and messy. And that's what the curse shows. By taking only the manic bloodlust and rage from Skizz and leaving all the loyalty and honor behind, it truly shows its ugly nature when placed in people with less altruistic mindsets and much more to lose. Every person who bears the curse reacts differently to it, but at the end of the day it's still selfish and cruel. Taking another life just to satisfy yourself and your own goals. And Skizz, the source, is no different. He might kill out of loyalty or a sense of justice, but he also kills to satisfy himself, whether he's aware of it or not. The Curse is just what Skizz is/would be without all the pretty justifications on top.
Hell, Skizz being the source of the Boogey Curse could even be the reason why he was absent in Double Life. His soul was too fragile after having to be the source of the First Boogey Curse for the entire season, so the Watchers temporarily took him out of the game to keep his soul safe so they could keep using him in the future. Then he returned in Limited Life to repeat the cycle.
But in Secret Life, despite Skizz's soul probably being fragile again, they didn't want to take Skizz or the curse completely out of the games because it makes so many tasty snacks. So they compromised by only using the Boogey Curse later in the game. But who did they give the curse to? Right, Gem. Who was infected with something from the End Dimension after opening the portal and turning yellow. And the Boogey Curse that sprouted from her was different from the traditional curse, behaving more like a plague and also including elements of teamwork and alliance, something the OG Boogey Curse was meant to completely destroy. Wouldn't it make sense that whatever was infecting Gem and the Skizz-sourced Boogey Curse meshed together to create something unique? A new sickness that, while having elements of the OG curse, was different enough to be its own thing? That would mean that Skizz wouldn't be Patient Zero for the Secret Life zombie boogey curse, that would be Gem. He wouldn't have his immunity anymore. Which left him open and vulnerable to the infection, just like the rest of his comrades.
It also plays into the Watchers losing their grip on the narrative of Secret Life, most noticeably seen with The Canary Curse not playing out as usual. In their hubris and greed, they put Skizz in the game despite his soul being fragile from carrying the weight of being the source of the Boogey Curse. They wanted the strife and discord, so they hastily threw the curse onto the new and already aggressive Gem assuming that it would play out as normal. But Gem was already infected with something else, that and the curse mutated into a loyalty plague, and everything spiraled out of control. The Watchers had no choice then to remove the curse from their game by the next session to regain control. But as we know, that control was gonna keep slipping away from them...
we do not talk about the skizz boogey curse theory enough. do you know insanely cool that is. why does no one talk abt it

Due to the recent Phasmophobia stream I will now be thinking about this AU for the next week, so I've got some things to add:
- The crew doesn't have a van, but they do have Tango's beat up old car with a van's worth of gear packed into it
- Zedaph provides most of their gear. They don't know exactly where he gets it from, but most of it is normal-ish objects bought online and taped together into Ghost Devices
- Most of their calls are for houses where people still live, but they do get the occasional abandoned house call. They know right off the bat that those are going to be the wildest ones
- The time when Impulse got possessed was during one such call. They thought they'd cleared the place, the three were on their way out, but the door shut and locked just as Impulse was about to leave with them and they couldn't get it open. They heard him pounding on the other side, yelling that "you know this isn't funny, please let me out, I can't see anything but it's starting to feel kind of weird - !" Then, a crash and a short scream. Then silence. They feared the worst. However, when they finally broke the door down, he was standing there perfectly still, just...empty looking. Staring right through them. They swear he didn't blink once on the terrified ride home, Zed keeping a finger on his pulse, Tango struggling to pay attention to the road...it was stressful, but they're just glad he's alright now.
- Tango, on the other hand, gets possessed a lot more often but not usually as much. He's developed some hand signs with the group to signal what's going on when the ghost won't let him speak. With that system of communication they can usually realize the situation early and get the ghost to leave him alone almost as soon as the possession starts, instead of risking bringing it back home.
- Zedaph never gets possessed. Nobody is really sure why. He isn't really sure why. His working theory is that just standing next to Tango protects him, the same way that hiking next to a mosquito-prone friend makes the bugs go after them instead of you.
- They try to be pretty professional about their investigations (it helps the client to have faith in them), but each of them can't help having their own little superstitious habits before starting a job. Zedaph has to tap both of his friends' shoulders before they go in the house "for safety". Tango needs to carry a very specific safety pin on his person at all times on a mission. Impulse thinks it's bad luck to have empty coffee mugs in the car, so he'll always clear them out before they leave.
- Each of them have their own funky patterned blanket for late night stakeouts, because i said so and also they deserve it
- While the team is away, Beetlejhost and Skizz teach each other new Ghost Tricks that they hadn't figured out to do yet. This exchange of information essentially just creates the maximum amount of chaos in the smallest amount of time possible. For example, they can both change the TV channel without a remote now. ....yeah. That goes about as well as you'd think it would.
Team ZIT Ghostbusters AU!
Discord ideas. Of course they’re discord ideas. (paraphrased from a Discord discussion)
