the fact that I’ve actually had this happen multiple times when I’ve entered a new fandom is hilarious like what do you MEAN

Lyra, my beloved cat of 13 years, passed away this year on Father's Day. She's been by my side through very difficult times and was my little rock of steady and unrelenting love. I struggled a lot drawing this, and struggled a lot posting it, but I know I would've wanted to read a comic like this that validated my grief for her when I lost her.
Wherever you are, Lyra my little summer star, I love you always! Thank you for being the best thing in my life.

truly the most american thing is Big Drink. more than late stage capitalism, more than an unparalleled cultural focus on individualism, more than 9/11 jokes
what binds all americans together culturally is Big Drink
and you might be saying "is this fat shaming" or "but mayor bloomberg outlawed Big Drink in nyc" or "gays are so annoying about their iced coffee" or some other dumb comment but no open your minds, Big Drink isn't just sugary or caffeinated beverages
every day i see one of you hydration bitches (affectionate) on the train with a water bottle so big a toddler could drown in it. that too is Big Drink. we literally invented a bigger beer can (tall boy) in wisconsin in the 60s in the service of Big Drink
anyway i never feel more american then when i have Big Drink in my hands

disabled people are worth whatever cost or resources is needed to keep them alive. disabled people are worth it even if they don't live long. they're worth it even if they will need extra support and resources for every day of their life. they're worth it even if they spend all they life indoors. none of it is wasted. none of it is in vain. time, effort, money, resources spent on a life are not wasted. these things have served their purpose. the joy of someone's existence is not undermined by not lasting forever. there's no meaningful point, some threshold where you can say "okay this is enough. after that it's not worth it." it's always worth it.

If you can't think positive about yourself, start by thinking neutrally. When your brain says "you’re worthless", reply, "no one is worthless." Small steps make a big difference so long as we just keep walking.

There's a video of Impulse's stream with Gem where they're talking about Hermitcraft meetings and how they can last for like two to three hours because, you know, youtubers, and Impulse just drops "Yeah if Skizz ran these meetings they'd be over in fifteen minutes but then a bunch of hermits wouldn't like him so he won't do it" and like.
There is apparently a Business Skizz, or as Impulse put it, a "Get Things Done Skizz" who is quote 'scary'
and that is both entirely unsurprising to me and fucking hilarious because the clear inference is that Skizz could run a meeting full of rambling creatives with an iron fist and regularly did so in his day job before he went full time and we love us a man who contains multitudes
