ok giving more story to my au because a new chapter dropped for the BaBotqftim fic and i got motivation

As said before, the storyline dosen't change much.

Bendy is still Boris brother, bendy and Boris still go and try to look for the parts for the ink machine, they still befriend alice, holly, cup, mugs and everyone else,

What changes is more of Bendy's feelings, personality and story behind him.

he does not have parents, he used to, but died for a reason unknown. and when his father died, who used to be the previous prince of hell, the devil saw potential in the child and decided to put him in charge.

So basically, a child was put in charge of such big title.

He is supposed to help the devil but as a child who didn't even fully developed yet he can't do much, so he's mainly just watching and getting privileges over others.

to put it short: he got spoiled.

though, for a child, who constantly gets to hear about the surface, it's costumes, and it's people, and sometimes they even get to see it, they get curious.

and bendy, gets very curious, and gets very privileged.

So, at the age of 18, where people told him he could do whatever he wanted because he was old enough to do so (meaning also working as the actual prince of hell) what did he do?

Went to the surface.

Yes, he shouldn't have a problem with it, his job does ask him to be on the surface,

But it certainly doesn't ask him to turn himself in the cute version of himself, make his first deal with a puppy and be his brother both by contract and legally, and SAVE THE WORLD.

yes, it's true he's trying really bad to keep his reputation low and so giving all the credit to everyone else on the team, but everything keeps going downhill,

It's embarrassing to have to work for a puppy and be his brother (while also looking really small and cute.), And then demon puberty (luckily that part is partially saved by his mentor black hat, hates to admit it but he's thankful for the demon's help.) And then he gets the habit of "thank you" and "please" (hurts his pride but has to set an example for the small puppy.) And THEN he befriends an angel AND develops a crush on HER. (which, he honestly dosen't care if she was a demon, a human, an angel, or whatever, it's the fact that he fell in love so EASILY. he's not too fond of romance, he's disgusted by his own feelings he can't suppress.)

And.. he's saving the world?? From this ink illness?? (Yes it is true that he himself is mainly working only for himself, he has the illness and he is his priority, but still...if the demons down there hears it..or worse yet, the DEVIL..)

oh and let's not forget a few details!

he lives most of his time on the surface, and while yes he still goes to hell, he's basically being raised on the surface for how much he stays there.

he has taken a liking to those people in the house with him, he considers them "friends" (weird concept still, especially because they don't ask anything in return, and he stopped asking in return either, but feels nice. Which is WEIRD.)

And all the weirdness of the surface dwellers and surface itself.

but most of all, he is changing.

At first he just didn't care. At all.

Literally, he only cared about himself, he didn't care about demons, he didn't care about ANYONE but himself,

But when he has met that little pup, he has taken someone else in the "i care about that" list.

Then it just grew more and more, until he just stopped being the merciless and spiteful demon he once was?

On some degrees he's still not a good person but man! These people are good at the "i can change him" Game.

it's starting to get him way too much for his own liking and the demons liking.

LUCKILY FOR HIM, for the few of them who knows about this (black hat, raide, ava ect.) He managed to convice them it was just an act. (he's trying to convince himself it is, and that his crush for Alice does not exist.)

For the others he just needs to keep it secret until he can't anymore.

but why does he hide it? Because he's the prince of hell, do you know the scandal if the demon race would find out that he, bendy, the ink demon, the prince of hell, has gotten soft? it would make a chaos.

if it wasn't for that, he wouldn't have cared. But he has to blame his own mindset too, that gets in the way of him accepting his own changes.

We don't talk about how in his head he keeps calling mr.felix "dad"

Little facts:

- bendy is older than he originally is in the fic, he turned 18 when he found Boris, he's in his 20s in the current time (which is still very young for a demon.)

- this means that when he found Boris, not only he had to change his looks, he had to lie about his own age (because his contract was to be the kid's brother not to adopt him, and I'm his head he thought he had to be the kid's playmate.), So now, he's here, being in his 20s in hell, and 18 on the surface.

- he genuinely does not care if Alice is an angel, or better yet, an archangel, it's that he has a CRUSH. In his eyes having a crush and feeling so "funny" about someone makes him feel WEAK and he is disgusted and dissapointed in himself because of it. (And the whole scene where he admits his feelings to Alice does not happen. He rather make a scandal on the surface and go on a date with a guy. (Why do they care so much anyway?))

- at least he knows about own culture, but this time he's completely clueless about the surface, but he does have some informations since he has been with Boris (even though not constantly) for years.

- he knows the basics of course, but it's when he started being on the surface constantly that he noticed he didn't know as much as he thought he did.

He used to practice his thank you and please, and now it's an habit (kinda hates it.), And he even had to study a few words to understand people (why do they say the name of a fruit? Why berries?)

But he's currently way better than before.

- during the cup brothers confession, he also had to say his part, it was way too embarrassing for him to admit, but the puppy said it for him. (He can't believe he had to admit he is here because he said yes to being a kid's brother!)

- Alice and everyone else in the house truly believe bendy can change, and do notice and are happy for the changes that he had. (they don't know he is not as nice as he makes himself be during his time in the surface though.)

Deep down he knows he's only doing all of this out of spite because he thinks it's funny. (Especially when he sees people reactions.)

Whats the story behind your characters?

Oh man, I had to think about this question for a bit. When I made Ava and Rita, I wasn’t expecting them to gain any traction, so I never really made any lore or backstories. I was sooooo wrong tho lmao

I’ve been writing and rewriting a story for my boy, but I think I finally made something I like:

Avalon is a love angel/ Cupid. He oversaw human desires, love and lust, and relationships between partners. However, after falling in love with a mysterious black-winged angel, he lost his status as a “pure” angel- with this, his wings turned red and his halo disappeared.

Now as a fallen angel, he was set to be purged, so he ran away from the Gates and escaped to earth. From here, he stayed hidden for a while, until he met Rita.

Rita is a hardworking, outgoing woman living on her own in an urban town. She found Ava on the city’s outskirts, unconscious and battered, and decided to help him. After weeks of healing, Ava offered his thanks and left, only to come back a month later.

He realized that during his stay, he fell for Rita, after witnessing her kindness with not just him, but towards the people around her. She had a vibrant aura that he couldn’t help but notice.

Rita had her reservations with Ava because he was considered sacred. She believed it was some sort of sacrilege to be romantically involved with him, but Ava reassured her that being with her was his own decision. Not only that, but his rejection in entering to the Gates meant that he was somewhere between being an angel and human- something not sacred. After some convincing, she decided to give the relationship a chance. She never looked back.

A lot happens during this time, but they stay together for 3-4 years. Even though they weren’t planning to have a family, they suddenly got the news that they were expecting 5 little ones on the way. They were shocked but not unwelcoming; Rita was just astonished that she was gonna have a family when all odds were against her; Ava was surprised that he was pregnant, again. :D

They both chose to have their children in secret (with the help of some people keeping that secret).

After this, the rest is history. :D I have some ideas of interactions I wanna draw out with them during Ava’s pregnancy, but I’m still deciding whether some get posted on this account or on another one. Most of my ideas are more wholesome than lewd, but I’ll probably switch up some of them to fit more for this account.

I hope this was enough info about both of them. Of course I’ll add more over time, but this is all I have for the story. <3

@lightandfellowship re: your tags on this post (just to kind of bring this out to a different post).

I was thinking about making a separate post to expand on those tags anyway because they were a little off topic to the op, but I was like, you know, it's that Xehanort was worse to the Dandelions than Luxu was, yes. But Luxu was supposed to be that callous to the Dandelions in the first place. He was supposed to think of them as tools and to just let whatever fucked up thing was supposed to happen to them just happen. And with anyone else he can, but he can't put his personal feelings aside enough to 'do what needs to be done' for this set of people alone.

But Xehanort can.

And I think that's really interesting when looking at Xehanort as the 'replacement Luxu.' Xehanort who, as observed by another post I don't have immediately to hand, speaks with MoM twice. Xehanort who is chosen by MoM and manipulated into doing his bidding the same way Luxu was, given the same coat and made the heir to Luxu's keyblade, Xehanort who actually is allowed to take action to bring the Keyblade War about and revive the Lost Masters while Luxu is only allowed to watch.

Actually I started this post with a different thesis ('Xehanort is able to put his personal feelings aside and be ruthless even where Luxu fails to follow his role') but writing that paragraph I've changed my mind actually. Because Luxu has basically no agency in this situation, whereas Xehanort does.

Like, both of them are assigned roles by their mentors but Xehanort isn't really given a road map about how to fulfill his role. He's being manipulated, sure, but he's also making choices himself all along. They're choices that are fucked up but he understands they're fucked up and is choosing them anyway because he strongly feels it's necessary for the greater good.

Luxu has been told these things are necessary for the greater good. He's been told what to do. He's been told to just watch and that he can never take action. He doesn't even have the illusion of agency that Xehanort, who is actively choosing to lean into his feeling that destiny is inevitable, does. What is that like, to live hundreds of years never having any sense of agency? For Luxu, helping the Dandelions is fucking up. It's doing what he knows he's not supposed to, what he's been told is against the Plan, but he has no agency and this is his little way of rebelling, even if this is, to us, the 'right' thing to do. There's a question of what actually is 'right' and 'wrong' here and whether Xehanort is a 'better Luxu' than Luxu for choosing to simply follow The Plan.

Also I'm rambling here but putting things together as I go, sorry to also expand on other tags on posts I reblogged from you lol, but like. Luxu also very clearly has Lucifer stuff going on, the same way Xehanort does, down to the name. Xehanort takes on the Satan imagery over time - but it was Luxu's first. And Luxu is the one who actually tried to rebel against his Creator by deviating from his role (only to watch) and intervening with the Union leaders.

The thing about angels is they are not, in Catholic traditions (I can't speak to other denominations) is that they are not supposed to have free will. Free will is for humans; angels only follow The Plan, with no agency or say in the matter. They're messengers and avatars created only to execute the will of God. The Foretellers seem to play this role, if you will, in relation to Master of Masters. He hands them roles to execute the plan he's already designed. If we're, in this analogy, considering Master of Masters to be in the role of 'god', both Ava and Luxu are ultimately fallen angels - they both question the will of their creator, both rebel - but Luxu rebelling was built into the plan. He is Lucifer, and Lucifer rebels, and so he was still allowed to come back to the fold at the end of kh3, having fulfilled his duty even considering his rebellion. He still had no agency in the end, even having done what he thought was exercising it by saving the Union leaders.

Anyway I'm just rambling on at this point and don't really have a conclusion to this but the whole interplay between Luxu and Xehanort, agency and servitude, angels and devils, light and dark, feels really compelling to me.

Married to The Enemy- Shingen Ch. 36

Chapter 36

Shingen was in a state of semi consciousness. He had been for he really wasn’t sure how long now. It felt like both an eternity and not long at all. Of course, unconsciousness felt more appealing at the moment. He felt groggy and in some of the most incredible pain he had felt in a long time.

His abdomen felt full and the occasional sharp pang. His muscles were incredibly sore, especially along his side and there was a particularly intense pain between his ribs. The hospital staff seemed to be attentive and questioned him in his groggy state. He felt movement around him…and he felt a warm rush in his veins as something else must have been injected into his IV.

There was movement and a flurry of activity before he was left alone. He wasn’t sure but he thought he might be back in his room as there seemed to be no one else around now. Slowly his pain and discomfort seemed to ebb a little and he felt pleasantly warm all over. He began to drift off as he heard a door and then footsteps.

He felt something take his hand and then something warm press to his forehead. “I feel better seeing you already.” A familiar voice whispered.

Shingen fought to open his heavy eyes. “Angel…” He murmured, though his vision refused to focus.

“Yes, I’m here.” Ava whispered. “You can just rest. You’re going to need it.”

“And miss seeing you.” Shingen replied, his eyes slowly coming in to focus on her beautiful face.

Ava’s smile was radiant as she looked at him. “How are you feeling?” She asked.

“Quite…uncomfortable.” Shingen admitted. “But better now that you’re here.”

Ava giggled. “Just woke up from surgery and you can still flirt.”

“The day I am…unable to flirt with…my wife…is the day I die.” Shingen replied.

“Which will be a VERY long time from now.” Ava replied. “They said you did fantastic during the surgery.”

“That’s good.” Shingen replied. “How are you…my love?”

“I’m fine.” Ava answered. “Much better now that I get to see you and know that it all went well. Sasuke sends his well wishes.”

“I’m glad…he was here to…keep you company.” Shingen replied.

“Me, too. Though my Oba-san stopped by as well.” Ava went on. “They both would have come in to see you, but the nurse said you were only allowed one visitor at a time right now.”

“Well, I’m glad it’s you.” Shingen replied.

Ava smiled. “Sasuke said you would feel that way.”

“He really is…smart.”

Ava giggled. “Oba-san said when you’re out of the hospital she wants to have us over for dinner to meet you.”

“I’d like that.” Shingen said. “While we are here…I want to meet…all of the people, who are… important to you…and see all the things… you love most… about this world.”

“We’ll make it a date.” Ava said. “We’ll go out and explore…taste all the sweets.”

Shingen smiled. “I’d like that.” He said, feeling his consciousness fading. Sleep was calling to him.

Ava leaned in and kissed him on the forehead. “Get some rest, my love. I’ll be right here.”  She was then giving his hand a squeeze.

“Hmm…maybe…I should.” Shingen agreed, his eyes drifting closed though he gave Ava’s hand a gentle squeeze back. His last conscious thought was of how nice and warm her hand felt in his. How reassuring it was to hear her voice and feel her touch.

I sat in the chair beside Shingen’s bed once he had fallen back asleep. I kept a hold of his hand though. I listened to the steady rhythm of the heart monitor and watched his chest rise and fall. “It’s so reassuring to see you out of surgery.” I murmured to his sleeping form.

I had been relieved when the nurse had come to tell me that he had made it through surgery fine. But until now, I didn’t realize just how tense I had been. I honestly felt like I was melting into the chair.

“Now we just wait for the testing on the tumor and find out what the next steps are.” I whispered. I had to remain positive that the results of the testing would give us the results we were hoping for and that soon, we would be leaving this hospital.

Hours later…

Shingen was finally more alert and was able to eat. I was feeding him some light broth when the doctor came in. “Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Takahashi.” He greeted us.

“Hello Dr. Sato.” I replied.

“How are you feeling, Mr. Takahashi?” Dr. Sato asked.

“Tired and sore.” Shingen answered.

“That is to be expected.” Dr. Sato replied. “Everything went perfectly well with your surgery. No complications. For someone with a tumor in your lung, you are in remarkably good health.”

“I do get plenty of exercise.” Shingen replied.

Yeah, swinging around a great sword in battle would definitely constitute a work out. Dr. Sato just didn’t need to know that.

“It will take a couple of days to get the pathology results back on the tumor, but from my experience, all signs point to the tumor being benign.” Dr. Sato said. “There were no signs of it spreading and no other tumors were found. All good indicators that it was just a random growth. But I can't say with absolute certainty until we get the results back.”

“That’s good news.” I said.

“Yes and as long as the results come back clear, you will be free to leave the hospital in a week.” Dr. Sato said. “Though we will have to schedule some follow-up appointments to make sure everything is healing properly and to be extra sure that nothing else starts growing.”

“That sounds good to me.” Shingen said.

“Me, too.” I agreed. I silently sent up a prayer that everything came back clear. It was one step at a time with this process.

“Just take it easy for now. We’ll work on getting you up and moving tomorrow.” Dr. Sato said. “We don’t do anything too strenuous. Just a short walk. It’s important for recovery to keep movement and blood flow.”

Shingen nodded. “Yes, thank you, doctor.”

The doctor spoke a bit longer with us before leaving. I was once again, given permission to spend the night at the hospital with Shingen. Though this time, I insisted on sleeping on the couch in the room as I didn’t want to hurt Shingen by sleeping together in the small hospital bed.

“I think I would be fine…if you slept over here.” Shingen said from his place in the bed.

“Shingen, they just cut you open today. You’re still healing.” I told him. “I know the pain medication has you feeling pretty good right now, but I am not risking hurting you or impeding your recovery.”

“Will my goddess at least give me a kiss goodnight?” Shingen asked.

“Well, of course I will do that.” I replied, as I leaned over to press my lips to his. “Not kissing you would be torture.”

Shingen smiled at me. “Hmm, just one kiss isn’t enough.” He was lifting his hand up and bringing it to the back of my head and pulling my lips back to his. 

I gasped into the kiss, taken by surprise. Shingen took the opportunity to slip his tongue past my lips. For a man who had just had surgery, he was being surprisingly…active and alert. I was breathless by the time he released my lips.

“Now that’s a goodnight kiss.” He said, giving me a surprisingly seductive smile.

I laughed and shook my head. “You know, you just had surgery.”

“Despite how sore and tired…I already feel as if I can breathe easier.” Shingen replied.

“I am happy to hear that.” I was then giving him a last peck on the lips. “I love you, Shingen.”

“I love you, Ava.” Shingen replied.

I made my way over to the couch and made myself comfortable. “Make sure you rest up while we are here.” I told him. “I can’t wait to get you out of here and show you around.”

“I look forward to seeing this world with you.” Shingen told me. “I can’t wait to see all of the things about this world that made you, you.”

“And I’ll show you to all of the best dessert places.” I added with a smile. 

“I look forward to it…and to sleeping with you in my arms again.”

“I look forward to that, too.” I replied.

We both settled in and went did our best to go to sleep. I think Shingen managed to go to sleep quicker than I did since he had all kinds of pain medication. I managed to fall asleep, planning the dates Shingen and I would go on while in the modern day.

Heh, so, I come from a fandom where character names have major significance, which means I promptly checked for that with Warrior Nun. I already knew a lot of catholic lore due to reasons, which meant I could guess certain character arcs, but boy howdy am I glad I checked some hunches.

Ava Silva, given the show's setting, would be Eve (rather than one of the convergent latin or germanic origins, with different meanings). Eve is the english translation of 'chavah', which is more description than name proper. Which in turn (very) roughly translates from hebrew as "giver/protector of life". This role of the mother remains unchanged by expulsion from Eden.

Notice how the halo always gives out quickly if used for violence, aggression or the taking of life, but ramps up like a champ if protecting and/or healing, even if it appeared to have gone empty moments earlier? While it is controlled through mental state, especially the one triggered by meditative thought, it clearly prioritizes the preservation of life. Eg; when Suzanne fell into despair and probably felt like dying over the prior Mother Superion's death, the halo made a quick exit.

Shotgun Mary: Mary Magdalene, the apostle of apostles, was the closest to Jesus (the halo-bearer) and witnessed his death. Eventually gets conflated with Mary of Bethany, and subsequently slandered every which way. Since the show's character seems to have a criminal background, she's likely meant to be both of them.

Sister Beatrice: Saint Beatriz da Silva (*coughs pointedly*), a beautiful and accomplished illegitimate child of a nobleman, raised in a royal court, but wound up imprisoned in a tiny cell. (A proverbial closet, one might say). Went on to found a new order after she was freed. I don't think I even need to add to this one.

Sister Camila: Saint Camilla Battista, a vivacious young noblewoman fond of musical arts, who experienced numerous visions, and struggled with temptation. Show Camila is indeed slightly whimsical, musical, and enduring unwanted visions of an ex-archangels (and therefore arch-demon) and his pitiful idea of temptation.

Miguel: the Archangel Michael who appears at the moment of death, offering salvation. Yup, goes to the show's version of Eden, comes back super-powered, but his function is to mete out death. Pretty straight-forward.

Mildly losing my mind so im gonna talk about my AvA AU, Heaven's Underpass

Its essentially just a demon/angel au with some minor worldbuilding and slight altering of the already existing narrative (and lots of shipping...). It is by far Not comprehensive and merely done for fun so inconsistencies abound, sacrificed for self-indulgence

I made this AU before AvA6 came out and structured the initial timeline with what we had at the time so it branches off into different alternates ever since then

Anyways the story for the most part follows the actual AvA series with the added addition of them being some sort of divine or infernal entity. Chose started off as and angel but once Chosen was captured and enslaved by noogai he burnt off his wings and became a demon. Then AvA3 rolls around, another angel was created and tasked to take down Chosen, Dark. Though after Dark was defeated and accepted Chosen's hand in partnership her divinity slowly drained out of her as she becomes a fallen angel/demon, though she doesnt fully become one until AvA5.

Then comes The Second Coming, a deity that rivaled the power of the animator but was raised amongst mortals (The Color Gang) so they never found out of their divine nature until much later. Also Green was a guardian angel watching over RBY until he got his wings stolen by a demon and became mortal like them, aint all that bad though cause now they can actually get to know eachother! He still has that protective and caring nature from his time as a guardian and extends it towards Second when they came into the picture.

Purple intermission! Cause theyre the only other character outside of the AvA series that i put much thought into. Shes a demon who had stolen an angel's wings (wink) to reach some form of divinity. I havent really thought of her background all that much but i did entertain the idea that her parents are demons but them being a mix of angel and demon but leaning more into demon sounds more interesting and i feel adds a bit more to their character. I also had the thought that King was a mortal who had made a deal with the devil to achieve his goals, that demon being Purple. He has a lot of moral dilemmas just like canon Purple but made worse because of the everything 👍

Moving on, AvA5 happens and Second awakens their divine powers (though temporarily) and Dark gets blasted into the stratosphere and becomes a proper demon, but shes not dead! Somewhere down the line she met Purple in her weakened state and they bond over their moral dilemmas like good trauma bonding buddies should do, and Purple takes care of her as she recovers

Meanwhile something appears on the desktop as the color gang head home from the events of AvA5 and find,,, a demon hollowhead? They seem confused and absolutely terrified of the mouse cursor that belongs to the animator and attempts to attack it but was soon held down by the color gang and calmed down. After a brief introduction they find out this demon's name is victim. And then this essentially follows the AU i had for if victim came back, made before AvA6 came out. I discussed it in this post here.

Anyways Second and vic and Chosen get crazy gay with eachother in the end and Purple pulls up to the desktop with Dark in tow like "hi guys meet my girlfriend!" and Dark and Chosen look at eachother like "Shit. Thats my ex." but in the end they talk it out and agreed they should see other people and yayy happy times

And then AvA6 came out and uhh crushed everyone's headcanons and i couldnt be happier!!! And then i havent really figured out what to do with the AU timeline wise and im just having fun slapping wings and horns onto these sticks and bringing out the themes inside the story to be more visual and etc etc
