Registration for the 2025 round is now open!

In the eight years since our first round, Pinefest authors have written 253 incredible fics comprising a collective 9.8 million words worth of pining, and artists have been inspired to create 811 gorgeous works of art to be viewed alongside them.

Now, we're excited to announce the opening of our ninth round – and we'd love for you to join us!

Registration will remain open until September 30th for authors, while artists may continue to sign up until December 1st.

Artists and authors will be paired through an anonymous claims process on December 14th, and artists will have 3 months to work on their art before posting commences on pi(e) day – March 14, 2025!

Buggy was used to casual contact. Celebratory slaps on the back, a warm hand on the shoulder, knees touching in the galley’s close quarters, broad hugs that would squeeze the air from your lungs. Some intentional, some mindless.

But Buggy wasn’t used to how you touched him. How you’d brush a lock of hair from his face and tuck it behind an ear, just so it was out of his vision. With one hand reaching up the back of his head and the other looped around his back, Buggy actually felt touched. Like it was meant just for him.

Over time, Buggy realized there was a selfishness in your physical affection. A need that drove you, but it was different than with the others. You weren’t like the ones who wanted to take the attention and power they could slough off the pirate. You weren’t falsely inflating your compassion by tolerating intimacy.

But there was no denying you were selfish. You were greedy. You indulged your every whim and desire to feel him. Because that was how you showed your feelings.

Every good morning kiss was a confession of love. Standing so close that you bumped shoulders was a reminder of how you adore your captain’s attention. You’d lick your thumb and neaten the edge of his crimson grin because you wanted him to look his best.

And with every kiss on his pelvis, you savored his heavy breathing. You welcomed the salty bitter precum that coated your tongue and always wished for more. When you sank down on his cock with your full weight, you felt complete. Whole. Like one being. And you wanted Buggy to feel the same.
