Aha, I always thought it was the same character, because in the Swedish dubs of Astérix chez les Bretons and Astérix et le Coup du menhir, this Roman Centurion is undoubtedly treated as the same character and is voiced by Peter Harryson in both movies.

While in the Swedish dub of Asterix in Amerika, he is instead voiced by Håkan Mohede who not only gives him a different personality, but also an Italian accent… I've always found this annoying, but now I know why.

You may think these are from the same Animated Asterix movie but they reused the same character model of this Roman Centurion for three different Asterix movies, (Asterix in Britain, Asterix & the Big Fight & Asterix Conquers America) and are treated as completely different characters.

There's some great artworks and other items at auction this week on Catawiki in the Original Comics Art Auction, with a dedicated copy of a French edition of Astérix chez les Bretons by co-creator Albert Uderzo gaining plenty of bids

My rating: 7/10

It's full of broad stereotypes and silly sight gags, but manages to be so in a mostly charming way. Plus there's childhood nostalgia to be considered.

Yooooo c'est une sacrée question avec plein de réponses.

Bon déjà partons dans les deux catégories principales : les Voyages et le Village

Village : de manière générale, je préfère les histoires où il y a une vraie menace efficace sur le village. Pas toujours physique, mais efficace. J'aime beaucoup aussi quand la ruse et le côté "only sane man" d'Astérix est mise en avant.

Pour ça j'aime beaucoup la Zizanie, le Combat des Chefs, le Devin et Obélix et Compagnie.

Voyages :

Là c'est plus une question de vibe, et de si le pays visité est mis en avant de façon intéressante. Bonus si Astérix a une occasion d'être particulièrement balèze !

Du coup j'aime beaucoup Astérix Gladiateur, Astérix Chez les bretons, Astérix chez les Helvètes, le Griffon et Astérix Légionnaire.

Après de manière générale, tout album où César apparaît entre dans mes favoris, même si un caméo ou que l'intrigue de l'album m'intéresse moins...mais s'il y a discussion entre Jules et les Gaulois, je valide encore plus !

D'autres albums ont un potentiel sympa ou une ou deux scènes que j'adore sans faille mais dont l'exécution me convainc pas (le Chaudron, Latraviata) ou qui me plaisent mais n'ont pas le petit plus qui manque pour passer de "cool" à "insta fave" (la Galère d'Obélix, Astérix en Hispanie...)

Et même parmi ceux-là, j'ai du mal à trouver vraiment des albums que je n'aime pas (à part peut-être les Jeux Olympiques, et encore, il y a des bons gags et commentaires).

Par contre oubliez le Ciel lui Tombe Sur la Tête.

C'est nul.

two stuffed toys i got hours after my birth : souris-feuille & souris-fleur. they're supposed to be gerbils or bears, i can't remember, but tbh they're don't look like anything (but cute ❤️). they've been stitched up so many times that one has an entirely different head lmao, and both changed 'coats' many times (the fabric they're made of)

what type of music keeps you grounded?

depends what you mean by grounded? when i'm anxious, it can be either very calm, soothing music with few instruments or metal with someone screaming. depends on the kind of anxiety. when i'm quiet-happy (like a sunny morning reading in bed) i like to listen to slow soul to keep this state of mind.

a raspberry flavored candy at work (my boss had some in his office) but nothing other that. but that's because i had a really good lunch at the canteen (greek sandwich and a 💯 orange cake) + i'm going to a georgian restaurant tonight and don't want to ruin my appetite ! otherwise i probably would have eaten some bread and roquerfort before dinner hehe

I've got nothing against it in itself but I'm not used to it so I can't eat it 😅

astérix chez les bretons? 🤣 i'm trying to think of a holiday film but i'm not coming up with anything... we don't have many of those in france and i don't think i've ever watched the american ones? i mean i probably watched some but rn i can't remember anything worthy of mentioning.

so yeah, astérix chez les bretons. bc even tho it's not a holiday film, for some reason, the astérix always run on the TV for christmas. and this one is my absolute favorite
