A little story about a kid who dreamt of becoming an artist 🥹 Only a few days left to grab the artbook before the campaign ends here: The Art of Kelogsloops I still remember the day I sat down with mum and told her I wanted to pursue art. “Don’t do it” she said. I think many people know the feeling of having their dreams shut down — it sucks. I even remember the fear of taking those first steps towards chasing this dream: it was scary, tiring and filled with uncertainty. But in the past few months spent writing this book, going back and reflecting on this journey has made me realise how far I’ve come and how it all started. I really am grateful that I get to do this each day and every day, so I truly owe a heartfelt thank you to everyone (except Mrs. T) Wherever you are right now, whatever it is you’re doing or want to do, keep going! #brbchasingdreams

I have included my first things from last autumn even if they look a little goofy now, but you know... they were part of the journey (look at baby beginner me trying to imitate the amazing lineart skills of talented fanartist here on tumblr but being totally unable to make it work! I recently got gifted an iPad and got accses to procreate! Drew this Ranma doodle to get a feel for it an I really like how it turned out. I don’t really color in my drawings too much at the moment, so this was good practice and was FUN! I decided against going for the more iconic red tangzhuang and instead made it green like the Mao suit he wears cuz I liked how the colors worked more. I just chose the brushes at random from the procreate presets and it turned out great. It’s fun to use new brushes. Love little, easy pieces like this lol.

you made me go back and it’s honestly so fun to see the moment i went “what if…”

at first it was all just a bunch of lines that got bigger and bigger

then i started actually connecting them

and it evolved into little w’s on the cheeks

i love adding them so fret not cause i have no intention to erase them, my drawings feel incomplete without them

( here’s a good old reminder too, just because the lake is close to the shore, it can still be very shallow. Copper makes sure that it stays that way so that he can lurk, too. There are very few shores by his lake that aren’t shallow. )
