Sometimes you must ask yourself. What are you doing with your life.
My answer is dubious kitchen experiments.
I have decided to make an Archon Loaf (ffxiv) to celebrate the Fanfest on Saturday. This is an unwise decision but i am commited to it. Will update this as it goes. Feel free to mute tag "The loaf saga"
Tumblr media
As ingredients go, we have some trouble on the flour fron since i could not get the rye at this time, so wheat will have to do. I also decided to add some. Flavourings to make the bread at least edible.

SAGA AU: Their Grace wishes to adopt the Wanderer. What would his reaction be? (I ask because I want to adopt this boy and be his new mama 🥺)
Wanted Son
(feat. Wanderer)
Tumblr media
❥Synopsis: After he was created, he was abandoned by his mother. Would You too abandon him?
❥Content Warnings: SAGAU, cult au, religious themes, abandonment issues, mommy issues, basically just all of Wanderer's issues, yandere behavior.
❥Author's Notes: Wow this is like my 3rd Wanderer fic in a row shhsgs
Tumblr media
Disbelief.
Did...
Did he hear that right?
He asked for You to repeat what You just said, trembling.
When he heard once again what You just said, he looked at You, confused and lost. "Why? Why would you...?"
Why would You want him for all that he's done? Why would You want him when he had hurt so many people, including Your first vessel?
Why would You want him as Your son when he wasn't even enough for his original mother? Why would You want him when his own mother threw him away?
Why?
Just...
Why?
But even as disbelief and hesitance covered his entire being...
"Yes. I accept."
He was not a saint, and he may be repenting but he is still a selfish man and all he ever wanted before was his mother's affection.
But here You were, easily offering the parental affection that he had once craved and had buried within himself.
No matter if You're doing this because You're fond of him or for Your own gain, he would still accept. There never was any doubt of him refusing your offer.
After all, You had already given him a name. That was more than he can say of Beelzebub.
Tumblr media
After that day You had gained a shadow. Your son always a half-step behind You wherever you go.
He would say that he was protecting You because who else fit to be Your guard but Your own son? But it's also for his own selfish reasons.
He wants to be close to You at all times. He selfishly clings to You when You two are alone, craving and seeking the attention You so easily give him and calling You by whatever You wished him to.
Whether or not You are physically affectionate, his hands would always seek Yours in private, assuring himself that You're still there, that You haven't abandoned him.
In moments of vulnerability, he was like a newborn babe who always calls for his mother, dependent and terrified of being alone.
Sometimes he would think of his first mother and how ironic it was that he was once the son of an Archon, but now he is the son of the Creator, a being more powerful than his first mother.
The petty part of his mind was gleeful while another part of him slightly regrets erasing himself in Irminsoul, if only to shove this on Beelzebub's face.
But he waved it off his mind and focused on the present. He would be a dutiful son if that's what You desire of him. He would help with Your duties if that's what You wish.
He would do the dirty work for You, no need for You to take action because Your son is here. He would strike down those that scorn You, those that earn Your ire, those that do not worship You as they should. He would be the loving son, the helpful and dutiful son as long as You wish.
Because all he had ever wished for was to be wanted, and now he is, so please don't let him be alone again.
Tumblr media
❥End Notes: I guess we're still not over Wanderer huh?
❥Q: Since we're in the topic of adoption, who do you want to adopt in Genshin? Cause I would adopt Razor in a heartbeat.

" fear not death for the hour of your doom is set and none may escape it. " - volunga saga, c.5
𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒' 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘 | As a veteran AR60 player of Genshin Impact, you pride yourself as someone who knows the ins and outs of Teyvat, even studiously completing Spiral Abyss every reset, and having 100% exploration to some, if not all, of the released regions so far. Everything is fun and enjoyable, especially since Sumeru just recently debuted so you still have a lot to do!
All that ends though, when a mysterious passerby pushes you off the building of your university while playing Genshin. But instead of meeting your inevitable end, you find yourself waking up in the very world you were addicted to!
It's supposed to be a fun dream, right? Something you could laugh at when you wake up? Right?! So, why is that you were back in AR1 with nothing but a dull blade in your inventory?!
…well, at least you still have those 700+ sunsettias and mints, Timmie's fowls…and surprisingly similar game mechanics you used to merely see on the screen before. But what should you do now? Flirt with the Genshin men??? Good lords...
"Welcome to Genshin Impact, Dreamer. Here, we can show you a happier ever after you've never had before…so, ready?"
𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘 | In which you somehow find yourself tangled in the start of a web of conspiracies and confusion as the threat of the crumple paper of fate led you to a strange path with two equally strange men.
𝐂𝐖 / 𝐓𝐖 | Cursing, possibly ooc Kaveh and Alhaitham, spoilers for Sumeru Archon Quest, let me know if I missed anything <3
𝐖𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐒 | This is a lot harder to write because I established a new plot lmao. And because of Kaveh and Alhaitham it was so hard to write them sjakahs. Also, this was supposed to be posted on Friday last night but I was so tired after a whole day doing god-knows-what outside so I wasn’t able to finish the chapter :( Reblogs and comments are appreciated!

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Apparently, today was simply not your day.
Even before you get the chance to leave the blasted scene you found yourself in, you got stuck in the House of Daena together with two potential suspects of book robbery, one is known for being an academia lunatic and one for being a perfectionist architect. Not that you knew that they would do it, of all people, but at this point, you just did not want to give a damn.
Anyway, flashback almost a week prior after your arrival in Teyvat and before all this crazy fiasco happened, it's not everyday that your rationality won over your desire to earn and farm primogems, you know. It's also a near impossible feat to abandon the quest that could potentially help you advance your AR and even more so in pretending that Cyno is not outside, talking to Tighnari over something you wisely choose not to listen to–lest you might incur more suspicions from the both of them.
Which, in fact, is the last thing you wanted to do.
So, ignoring the questline and the angry red mark of the Paimon Menu, you closed the tab and let yourself fall on the soft bed once again with a dejected sigh. You repeatedly told yourself that this decision was the best course of action and you will have no regrets in this route. Still, you didn’t know how many hours had passed since then–all you somehow perceived is falling asleep, being lulled by the hushed whispers of the people outside and the quiet stillness of the Avidya Forest you grew accustomed to in the past months from behind the screen of your device.
All dreams would soon end. Your hippocampus reminded you, and you agreed. No matter how much this bittersweet reality you found yourself in looks so believable, you couldn’t be far from your own reality…right?
There has to be a way to go back.
That aside, the past four days you spent in Tighnari’s care was far from not being nerve-wrecking, if you were being honest. The fennec therianthrope seems to like hovering around you a lot, fussing like a distressed mother when you do something that he thought would strain your body and passionately lecturing you about the pros of staying in bed while you rest as if you were a poorly disciplined child.
While you admit that he was a great caregiver and it was endearing seeing a former 2D character worries about you despite literally knowing nothing about you, Tighnari’s inevitable tendencies to get lost in his lectures and fussing made your resolve to go back home hardening even more.
Though when the sixth day had passed, you were finally allowed a bit more freedom to roam around. During that time, Tighnari had introduced you to Collei, his student and a trainee forest ranger, and it takes you a lot—and really, a lot—not to bawl your eyes out when you see the green-haired girl. You remember when you used to see Collei in the Genshin manga, she was still so small back then! And now, she is all grown up, cheerful despite her life experiences…and even kind-hearted enough to offer to take you to a visit in Sumeru City along with the other forest rangers to fetch some supplies to stock before the start of the heavy rainy season.
It was also on the sixth day when you found a crumpled paper with the word ᛚᚨᛖᚡᚨᛏᛖᛁᚾᚾ written in all bolds and italics using bright green ink in the folds of your clothes. Although you were weirded out and freaked out why, how and who slipped it there, you decided you did not give a damn about it.
Well, that was until you found another crumpled piece of paper under your pillow when you decided to get dinner with Tighnari and Collei outside. This time, ᚷᛚᛖᛁᛈᚾᛁᚱ was written on it using the same bright green ink.
It doesn't even looked remotely similar to Teyvat's language, as what you've seen in passing when looking at the forest watcher's books on his study table. You have a vague idea what it means, but it was possible that it was one of their ancient languages, too. Since apparently, Alhaitham himself and any other scholars of his Darshan knows at least twenty languages, according to the lore.
But what the hell does it supposed to mean? It gives you the same level of anxiety when you are taking an exam in Foreign Languages. You started to question every motive, every reason why someone would send you, someone not even from this world, a crumpled paper with Earth's Runic inscriptions. Why would they send this to you? Who sent this to you? Do they even know you? A prank, maybe? What do they get from this? What do they want from you?
In any case, you don't want someone out there continuously bullying you, and you don’t have any lawyer here to sue them (unless you count on Yanfei, but that’s beside the point). So, as a last resort, you asked Tighnari if you could join the forest rangers going to Sumeru City because you planned to find your answers, and the possible prankster, in the House of Daena. Plus, you were really itching for a change in scenery!
So, yes, you won't get defeated by the Crumpled Papers of Fate before you could find a way back home!
"—oh, Collei…did I tell you how much I appreciate your existence? How could I cry in reverie for your benevolent acts? Just say the word, and I would do anything for you, you lovely human being."
Collei, probably used to your strange flare for dramatics, giggled in response and tugged your looped arms together. "I just think you need a change of scenery while recovering, and I know Master Tighnari's lectures could be too much sometimes, even if they come in good faith. Especially when you were recu…recu…um, what does he say again?"
"Recuperating?" You wrinkled your nose and Collei modded cheerfully. You can't really blame her for tripping over words, since most of the Genshin characters, especially those with super rich and scholarly background, used to speak formally and use deep words. The first time a curse slip passed your lips about two days ago, you remember seeing Tighnari's scandalous stare as if you offended his whole vocabulary.
It was also a fun way of teasing him. A small payback for all his lectures about flowers and taking care of yourself.
In any case, he begrudgingly allowed you to come see the Sumeru City along with the other forest rangers. It wasn't a long, arduous trek as you expected it to be, despite not using any Teleport Waypoints, maybe because the journey was an eye-opening one (especially when you saw chests and puzzles that you swore you already gotten before) and your group had tried your best from steering clear of any hilichurl or Eremite camps scattered around the forest.
After dropping you off at the Akademiya grounds, Collei and the other forest rangers told you that they will fetch you later after they're done restocking their supplies, you excitedly went inside, hoping to find some sort of lead or help in solving your crumpled paper predicament.
Although Katayoun, the librarian, had adamantly asked for your credentials and permits before she let you borrow any books. Apparently, only students are allowed to have access here, but thankfully, Tighnari gave you a letter that he said would be enough for the librarian to let you inside, should you give it to her.
“—what kind of book do you need, anyhow?” Katayoun finally relented.
“Uh, anything about Teyvat’s ancient language. The one with the alphabet similar to this one, if possible.”
The librarian peered into the two crumpled papers you presented to her, before shaking her head. “Most books about ancient language are strictly available only to students of Haravatat Darshan, and since your permit is from an alumni from Amurta, I apologise if I cannot comply with your request.”
As she said with no room to complain, you had no choice but to pick other possible books to read that were available for you, stomping and frowning in defeat. But just as you sat on a chair in the farthest corner of the grandest library you ever saw in your life (it was even bigger than the one in-game!!), someone walked towards the seat across yours, waving his hand to you to get your attention.
"Hello! Do you mind if I sit here?"
You felt as if you had a sudden epiphany, hearing a familiar voice that made your head snapped to him in surprise. You even almost knocked the pile of books you borrowed earlier when your eyes met a pair of sharp, mystic red irises and a tuft of fluffy-looking dirty blond hair.
You resisted the urge to scream in both panic and excitement as you stiffly shook your head at him. IT'S KAVEH…?!
He coughed to gain your attention. "Ahem, I know it's very unbecoming for a gentleman such as myself but I couldn't help but to…overhear your conversation with our resident lovely librarian earlier. You were looking for books about ancient languages, correct?"
You blinked out of your reverie, slowly nodding at him. "Um, yes. I just need to find some references about…something. Unfortunately, I'm not a scholar from Haravatat to borrow the books I need."
His face lightened up, as if he, too, was hit by epiphany just like you. "Say, Mx…?"
"[Name]..."
"Mx. [Name], did you, perchance, recognise this?" Kaveh fished out something from his pocket and slid it across the table to you. Your eyes widened like saucers when you saw the familiar inscriptions of Runes written into three separate pieces of paper.
"The Crumpled Papers of Fate!" You hissed. "You have it, too?!"
"Yes!" He exclaimed in the same amount of enthusiasm as yours.
"But who the hell sent this?!"
Kaveh shrugged his shoulders elegantly before resting his elbows on the table and leaning close to you. He playfully beckoned you to inch closer as if he's conspiring something with you. "That's what I want to know as well. All I realised is that the Crumpled Paper of Fate is some sort of code that gives us symbolism over something."
Your brows raised in curiosity. "Symbolism?"
"It looks like you got two pieces. Though somehow, I got three." He tapped his gloveless finger on the table, the corner of his mouth turning downwards. "One in my pocket, the other was clipped together with my roommate's book in our living room, and the last was stuck in the door of my room. I even accidentally smack my head—"
"—which proves my point that your eyes are made of marbles if you didn't notice the door in your face."
Both you and Kaveh almost jumped from your seats when a deep voice spoke from behind you. Your jaw dropped when you caught sight of the Akademiya's Grand Scribe pulling the chair on your right side before getting himself comfortable on it, placing the books he held on his hands on the table with a soft thud.
WHAT IS ALHAITHAM DOING HERE THIS TIME?!
You were near hyperventilating near two handsome—and former 2D—dudes that was now glaring at each other. Well, more like Kaveh killing Alhaitham with his glares because the Scribe just leisurely opened his book and crossed his legs, seemingly adamant in ignoring his roommate.
And just like every playable character you met so far, and even the NPCs themselves, these two looked so human and real to someone from a game. The finer details from their designs and splash arts were more highlighted and even the contours in their faces are too detailed to be true.
Your eyes briefly glanced at the scribe's arm, and you inwardly whistled in amusement. Wow, those muscular arms could crush my skull. Lololol.
"Oi, Alhaitham! What in Teyvat are you doing here?" Kaveh asked in irritation, his former cool-ish aura vanishing in the instant.
He ignored Kaveh, his light turquoise eyes, highlighted with orange pupils, looked at you for a second and your breath hitched at its intensity. "...I overheard you two talking about the ancient scriptures and codes from the crumpled papers."
Your brows furrowed. "Huh…do you guys have something for eavesdropping or something?"
He ignored you, too, and fished out three very familiar pieces of paper and slid it together with yours and Kaveh's. "....I suppose this is the reason why you want to borrow books of ancient languages, no? I will give you a hint. All of our papers are written in Runic inscriptions."
"Yeah, yeah, you the great scribe of the Akademiya from the Haravatat Darshan surely knows what it means." Kaveh said, sarcasm lacing his tone like a venom.
You grew more curious. "Where did you find yours?"
"Does it matter?"
You tried again. "And what does the Runic mean?"
"Kaveh's Crumpled Paper of Fate means Ship, Blind, Light—which is rather suspicious, especially given that Kaveh found one of his papers in my book." Alhaitham said in a matter-of-fact tone, tapping his said book, that made Kaveh rolled his eyes in exasperation.
"As a matter of fact, the only suspicious thing about that book," the architect scoffed. "...is that it's being held by a drama queen."
The last thing I remember, Kaveh's Vision is Dendro, not Pyro. Lol.
Alhaitham gave an unimpressed, humourless stare at his roommate's spiteful words and you tried suppressing your laughter, remembering Alhaitham's Oscar-like performance in the Archon Quest.
"Anyhow, back to the topic before someone rudely interrupted me. Mine was translated to Eye, Knowledge and Ravens."
"But what does mine—"
You suddenly halted when a loud thump echoed across the library, and then there's screaming. Before you knew it, several Matra of the Akademiya flooded across the room, startling everyone who was inside.
"A book robbery took place in the library's restricted section. Everyone that stayed in the House of Daena between six in the morning until now, we are expecting your cooperation."
So, that's what happened to your supposedly peaceful morning. You were suddenly caught in the apparent book robbery in the restricted section, and you heard the General Mahamatra was going to interrogate every single person that the Matra caught.
This is not freaking good.
Tumblr media
The prospect of meeting Cyno should be wonderful, right? BUT NO. You were on the receiving end of his job right now. And it's not even close to thrilling at all knowing the side of Cyno working that you honestly, do not wish to know.
Well, at least Kaveh and Alhaitham were with you right now. Though with the way they were bickering nonstop, you suddenly wished you could tell them to shut up.
"Theory number ten," Alhaitham muttered to himself; he was sitting so comfortably beside you as if they weren't on your way to the interrogation room.
"You seriously reached theory ten with your nonsense?" Kaveh bited.
The scribe fished out a notebook from who-knows-where, looking for something. You tried to peek a little, but his muscular arms were in the way and it's embarrassing to inch closer when they didn't even bother introducing themselves to you. "It's possible that whoever sent this has the connection with the three of us—or at least, knows us to some extent. Perhaps wanting to measure our intelligence? For what?"
"Isn't that already obvious?" His roommate impatiently said. "[Name] got their Crumpled Paper of Fate in their own home, we got ours in your dorm, which by the way, only the two of us have access to. Whoever did this surely knew us pretty well."
"This is the reason why you didn't pass in anything other than your courses in Kshahrewar." Alhaitham said. "You always assume things."
"Excuse me, I'm not assuming. I am concluding!" He defended, apparently offended.
"Then don't jump into conclusions even if that's the only workout you do."
"Why you—"
As much as their banter was so amusing to watch, there are more pressing matters you had to know. "But that's impossible. I don't know anyone in this place aside from the Forest Rangers in the Avidya Forest, you know. It's nearly impossible that Tighnari and Collei would do this just to prank us. Though, I always had someone with me, so it's not possible that someone I don't know snuck into my room either…"
"You seem like you always have a witness with you?" Kaveh turned to you.
Alhaitham paused for a second. He blinked slowly, before a subtle smirk slowly pulled from the corner of his lips. "That's it."
"Huh?"
He stood up from his seat. "A witness." He vaguely replied before he went through the door faster than you could blink.
You and Kaveh stared at the door.
Then you two realised what Alhaitham just did.
"Oi, he just ran off without us!" Kaveh exclaimed in anger before tugging your hand to follow his roommate outside. "[Name], let's go before the Matra catches us!"
What in the world did you got yourself into?
Route 1.2.1: Stop Kaveh from escaping. You had a feeling that escaping isn't a good thing, especially since Cyno would probably hunt you down later. What's there to fear when you're innocent, no?

❝ You bray like an ass, and make no more sense. ❞
❝ Woman? Is that meant to insult me? I would return the slap, if I took you for a man. ❞
❝ I would remember a man of such magnificence, I have no doubt. ❞
❝ You are worth fighting for, it is true. ❞
❝ I would gladly let you kiss my sword, if I were free. ❞
❝ And perhaps a kiss besides, eh? Or more than a kiss? For a man as magnificent as me? ❞
❝ I will like the taste of your tongue, I think. ❞
❝ You have a big thirst. ❞
❝ If blood is what you wish, let it flow. ❞
❝ You shall rue this arrogance. ❞
❝ Why? Because you are so beautiful. ❞
❝ I count no day as lived unless I have loves a woman, slain a foeman, and eaten a fine meal. ❞
❝ My sword is yours. My life is yours. My love is yours. My blood, my body, my songs, you own them all. I live and die at your command. ❞
❝ Then live, and fight for me. ❞
❝ Is that what you’re telling me? You are the only man I should ever trust? ❞
❝ Do you think I’m still some virgin girl, that I cannot hear the words behind the words? ❞
❝ You have been a better friend to me than any I have known. ❞
❝ I honor and respect and cherish you. ❞
❝ I do not desire you, and I am weary of your trying to push every other man in the world away from me. ❞
❝ It will not make me love you any better. ❞
❝ I cannot sleep when men are dying for me. ❞
❝ Your place is here by me. ❞
❝ A man who fears battle wins no victories. ❞
❝ I will see them. I will see every one, and count them, and look upon their  faces. And I will remember. ❞
❝ It’s his city I want, not his meager manhood. ❞
❝ I will not march my people off to die. ❞
❝ Can I send men to die in the dark on such a slender hope? ❞
❝ Take me back to my tent. Please. ❞
❝ I have told you no lies. Yet there are truths I have withheld, and for that and all my other sins I can only beg your forgiveness. ❞
❝ What truths have you withheld? ❞
❝ The crow calls the raven black, and you speak of betrayal. ❞
❝ If he sent you to kill me, why did you save my life? ❞
❝ I am yours, if you will have me. ❞
❝ There has been an informer by your side selling your secrets. ❞
❝ Do all gods feel so lonely? ❞
❝ She is brave as well. She had to be, to survive the life she’s lived. ❞
❝ I am going to take you home one day. I swear it. ❞
❝ I am content to stay with you. ❞
❝ Is this the face of a conqueror? ❞
❝ Harsh justice is still justice. ❞
❝ The widows will curse me all the same. ❞
❝ To prove his faith, he offers to seal your alliance with a marriage. ❞
❝ He means to put them all aside if you consent to wed him. ❞
❝ Whatever I do, all I make is death and horror. ❞
❝ I must be strong. I must have fire in my eyes when I face them, not tears. ❞
❝ Some truths are hard to hear. ❞
❝ Why ask for truth if you close your ears to it? ❞
❝ He once told me that madness and greatness are two sides of the same coin. ❞
❝ So I am a coin in the hands of some god, is that what you are saying? ❞
❝ You warned me against everyone except yourself. ❞
❝ I am no man’s creature. ❞
❝ I must not weep. I must not. If I weep I will forgive him. ❞
❝ You are trembling. ❞
❝ I wish I could have known him. ❞
❝ If I want him, I need only say so. ❞
❝ Never lie to me. Never betray me. ❞

['What is-' Dresden mumbled as he shifted in someones arms. whose arms was he in? He looked up tiredly to see a red faced Sir Jackson Bright. Dresden clambered off Jackson and stood in front of him, magma under his skin glowing in embarrassment. 'I- That was- I sincerely apologise, Bright.' Dresden stated, avoiding eye contact with the taller redhead. Jackson nodded, before rambling out a quick 'I borrowed your tumblr okay bye!' and practically running out of the office. Dresden sat back down in his office chair, magma still glowing brightly. He opened the browser, and clicked through to tumblr. He was immediately met with a rush of notifications, mostly people reacting to what Jackson must have said. Apparently one of the archons had a blog now. He went to his profile to add a link to their account - to let the others on the site quickly know about the blog, and also to keep things organised - when he was met with a surprise. At least Jackson had tagged all of the posts he had made, so he could see how he somehow came to the conclusion that pranking Dresden through the use of a false love confession was a good idea. That infuriating overseer probably had something to do with it. Several minutes later, Dresden realised that it was most likely not a prank, and that he probably had to talk to Jackson about this. Several days later, he was re-pinning his Introductory post, and editing it to both include the archon and his new boyfriend, although the latter still did not have his own tumblr account.]
[btw- i didnt explain this but any dresden interactions that happened during the jb takeover saga happened before it started in the timeline. in the canon of this rp blog, dresden talked to yall then fell asleep on jacks lap, then the jb takeover saga happened. after this then every dresden interaction will take place after the jbt saga. idk if i explained that right so feel free to ask questions lol!]

Art I made of Chris Chan, or more accurately, Kris Khan, main antagonist of the Incursion Saga and current incarnation of Archon Eos. Yes, this is canon to the lore. The thing embedded onto their head is the Zohar Relic of Zutara. Remember that? Yeah, Kris Khan gets it and uses it's power to cause the incursion/dimensional merge. The event as chaotic and ruinous as you can potentially imagine if you know all the sonichu lore, and Kris is NOT a good leader. More like a mad power crazed dictator with a major god complex. Fitting for the true final boss of both Reflective Dreams and Chronicles IX: Convergence.

❝ Bunch of vultures and lunatics. Between the [magister] families killing each other for control, there’s more bloodshed inside the walls than outside. Staying in there is a death sentence. ❞ ( krem @ maxima, probably after an attempt on her or another magister's life lbr )
The Banner Saga 1 // @mindsmade // accepting
"I would not say there is more inside. The Eastern front is not looking good." she looks on absently towards the larger city at large. The arches of her large office window offer one of the most beautiful sights, beyond the gardens and into the stark towers that emerge in the distance. She has been swirling the red wine in her chalice for the past fifteen minutes while she listened to Cremisius, longer while they both silently digested the happenings in the Senate.
The whole world was seemingly at the point of collapse, but for one such as Maxima that seemed to just be a permanent state that followed her at her heels. As it appeared, Lady luck decided it was time to start paying her dues.
Maxima glances towards Cremisius who stared at her with the heaviest disapproving frowning expression. With an apologetic smile, Maxima bowed her head "Point taken, however, dearest."
Maxima held tightly the side of her body, knowing well that she would need to spend quite a bit more time with her healers - same healers that she had demanded leave her for the moment and finally allowed her and Cremisius to simply breathe. And her, to have a drink before the ocean of work that would spawn from this. Cremisius was right about it, the bloodshed was increasing. But she would find out who else thought it wise to make such a brazen attack on her in such a public manner.
Perhaps Cremisius would not appreciate that was where her thoughts lay. To be fair, she herself knew this was a slippery slope of a road to follow. However, if she wanted to remain with a pulse she'd need to make sure that no one else thought it wise to threaten or attempt to take her out. It would also not be the first or last rival that had found himself at odds between reality and her own vision of their place in this word.
   "I cannot leave, Cremisius."
Between the Qunari war, the whisperings of the Dread Wolf, the mage killer murders, the families at each other's throats, the latest attempt on her life and attempting to do anything useful in the Senate while feeling the Archon breathing down her neck, the latest visit from the (ex) Inquisitor? Well.
"I thought about it." loathe as she was to admit it. She had all that she had ever wanted. Freedom, power, money, all that she could ever wish to have. She doubted that Cremisius would have ever suggested that, but Maxima felt the need to say it. She was, after all, an expert when it came to such disappearing acts.
She had thought about it, but leaving it all behind cut her deeper than she would care to admit. The thought that one day her enemies' assassins would find an opening and follow through, it lived well and freely in her skull. She would not deny that it terrified her. Between the other Magister families, their assassins, the dread wolf's cronies and the Qun - she had about twenty different things that could be worse than death and then, for good measure, a couple more ways that the end could be spelt out slowly and awfully.
Leaving felt certainly like an appropriate option and yet. Maxima glances to Cremisius, pulling her cup of wine closer and drinking half of its contents in a go before placing it back down on her desk, her eyes cast down to her own hands glistening gold in the darkness "But I can't."

Ok, I don't know where this idea came from, but I want it out of my head so now I'm making it everyone else's problem. Yall know the anime Zombieland Saga? To give a brief summary it is about an idol group made up entirely of the undead, specifically they are zombies, who disguise themselves as human in order to perform music. Its an amazing show and I truly cannot recommend it more highly, but that isn't the point right now!
What the point is is what if ya did something similar with a SAGAU? Could go either way of cult or imposter, but either is still funny.
• You have been living pretty comfortably in Mondstadt for some time, brought in by the allure of all that is entailed by the name "City of Freedom"
• The city already being home to one mysterious bard you decided on a differing route, the Adventure's Guild, to keep the mora coming in.
• While perhaps they found it odd how staunchly you refused to have anyone accompany you EVER, they couldn't argue that you clearly knew what you were doing since you would always get the job done and without a scratch on you!
• It was happenstance that started the decline, you were out doing your thing when I Mitachurl managed the blind-side you. Assuming you were alone you only groaned in annoyance as a massive axe neatly cleaved your head off of your shoulders.
• It wasn't until the shrill scream of Amber watching the incident that you realized you've been caught. So naturally, you let your body flop down as if you had died, waited for Amber to focus on the Hilichurls, and slowly crawled your way towards where your head landed and made your escape.
• Later sitting at Good Hunter with fresh stitches and a new layer of makeup to cover it, you were just enjoying your meal when Amber came stumbling back through the gates, looking more then just mildly traumatized. And then you made eye contact with eachother.
• Again she shrieked at the site of you, because she KNOWS she saw you get decapitated, and yet here you sit perfectly unharmed. This time she fients before she can properly convey that you are the reason why.
• Hiding away in your home you debate whether or not to consider the jig as up, and just start packing now. In that debate you praised any Archon that could hear you that when there came knocking on your door, you still had your make-up on.
• To say finding Eula glaring at you from beyond your door was frightening would be an understatement.
• You all but got dragged to the Knights of Favonius headquarters for questioning. Bwing met at the door with Kaeya's smirk, a visibly exhausted Jean, a barely conscious Lisa, and of course a terrified looking Amber.
• Apparently Amber had reported that you had died a grizzly death at the hands of Hilichurls, and yet there are dozens of accounts that you were perfectly fine less then an hour after Amber's reported time of death.
• You gave a silent apology to Amber as you pushed that it would be impossible for you to be able to sit here and answer these questions if you were dead. A point that they had no argument against.
• And so, a couple hours of questions and rewriting a report, and they let you go, but now a new problem arises, its started raining.
• In your tired daze, you didn't notice, not as your hair got soaked, and makeup began to drip and peel off of your skin.
• It was Lisa's alarmed noise that got your attention, and when you whirled around to look at her, the damage was done.
• The gathered knights watched in varying degrees of horror as what had appeared to be your skin suddenly flung off of your features in a goo-y mass. Leaving behind the palid grey-blue and green of your dead flesh.
• Amber even through her fear immediately saw the thick and messy sutchers that now held your head in place. As well as many other tracks of stitching that you've had to use in order to keep yourself in as few pieces as possible.
• Seconds are all you have to turn and run, that moment of hesitation upon seeing your true colors, literally, and the plethora of evidence that point to injures that by every account should have been fatal.
• A mad dash home, bar the door, lock the windows, and take these few precious seconds to try and pack as much as you can physically carry for your escape.
• In your panic you foolishly didn't listen that closely to what was happening outside of the rain. And so as you slung your heavy pack over your shoulder and ran out your door, you did so straight into the Acting Grandmaster's sword.
• And well... That's unfortunate.
• Jean had the closest view as you stared down at her sword buried in your chest, a drawn out quiet moment of the both of you staring at the impalment. And before she has the chance to pull it back out again, you've raised your hands up in exasperation, cause just COME ON, AS IF YOU DIDN'T ALREADY HAVE ENOUGH PROBLEMS!
• The shock of the situation was the main thing that stopped any of the multiple Knights and vision-barers from going near you as you began to pace back and forth in front of your house, Jean's sword still neatly secured inside your chest, as you shout into the rain about how you couldn't get a break anymore, how today has just been fiasco after fiasco.
• And by the end they all just had to wonder. What do you even DO with a person that can shrug off a beheading and treats being impaled as nothing more then an annoyance?
• And so you were permitted to stay in Mondstadt, under the circumstances that you have not been anything less then helpful since you arrived, and as long as you are careful about your disguise. The report of your death and the little show of your undead annoyance would be swept under the rug.
• Ahh, but if only there was a way to subtly silence that damned Bard that won't shut up about how he witnessed a Mondstadt citizen die a dozen deaths and yet still continues to live amongst them.
Ok, this was a stupid idea, poorly written on my phone in a rush to just write it down, thus the weird layout. But I hope yall enjoyed it anyway! I've not written in the headcannons format before, so this has certainly been interesting.

What’s your thoughts on Nahida quest act 2? Tbh at first I thought they would make it into Cthulhu-esque Eldritch horror infection of the mind twisting the soul into unrecognizeable shape kinda deal after the trailer and half way into the quest (I love the Apep design so much it’s a beautiful natural disaster). After finishing it I just. I have many rants and conspiracy theories and I don’t know where to start.
i really like this quest! I've been huge fan of dragons lore since Enka. we didn't actually learn a lot of lore we didn't know before, but its good that it was spelled out loud instead of buried in side quests. Like, we already knew from "before sun and moon" that vishaps were native or teyvat and primordial one defeated them and we knew that Deshret fucked with the forbidden lore.
We did learn new things tho, frex, that dragons had a king named Nibelung, which ties to Nibelungian saga where Alberich and Rhinedottir names are from, so like I'm really interested to see how they gonna connect Khaenriah to dragons. Also we learned that vishaps can kinda like process?? purify?? forbidden knowledge, but the doses too big would still harm\corrupt them. Also, the fact that Deshret willingly let Apep eat his body (with added bonus of her being a buffer from inflicting his own forbidden knowledge corruption onto his ppl) I think adds to the theory that Deshret succeeded with uploading his conscience into Golden Slumber and is gonna be a major player in a story (or mb we already met him without knowing who he is, bc like Sinner from Caribert?? pretty sus, insists that he's not god and that was Deshret's major ideological point too, he even refused gnosis from celestia despite being so powerful, he was offered it without having to fight in archon war)
overall, lots to think about, and you can send me your theories if you want:)

im bringing back the shining nikki saga cause i just had a brilliant idea that i have to share.
all the genshin characters have their signature outfits right? so theoretically, nikki can harness the genshin character's designer's reflections and use their powers against them. like you know how zhongli had his signature rex lapis outfit with the hood? in comes nikki protecting the reader with the power of the geo archon.
imagine zhongli cornering nikki and the reader and going in for the final blow/ult attack, thinking that he's done his righteous duty in keeping the creator's pure name, only to see the smoke and dust settle and his own shield being used by another person who's wearing an eerily similar outfit to the one found on his statue of the seven.
and imagine how confused the people of liyue would be.
"is she the new geo archon?" "how can she wield such power?"
- curse anon
SHINING NIKKI SHINING NIKKI SHINING NIKKI
you’re so right actually. the reflections are slightly off from the real ones (i imagine) but like. god man.
(i don’t know how shining nikki nor reflections work so shhhhhhh)
youre cornered with nikki against a cliff, venti marching for you. you try to shield her behind you—she doesn’t deserve this, she’s not involved in this, keep her safe-
nikki summoned a reflection with a shout, and a gust of wind nearly sent you stumbling. she pulled you back, pushing you into a run, but you glanced back.
i giant form of barbatos stood tall, drawing a massive bow. it looked just like the statue: sweeping cloak, massive wings, a whirlwind forming at the tip of its bow. venti stepped back, shocked, staring up at the reflection with a mix of fear and awe.
before you could see the reflection’s arrow fly, nikki pulled you along, running with you into the forest.
