the Author counterparts of Destiny characters (aside from the few mentioned) appearing in the Saga have been excluded because considered as their own category (and because of general spoilers)

Taox, the Osmium King, Rhulk, Umun'arath and Andal Brask are to be included in the re-design section, their changes are just not significant enough for their mention to be worth it

the Nezarec listed as a Tormentor OC is not c!Nezarec

on the other hand, Darien is, for a fact, c!Nezarec

all children are canonical in various AUs (with Jack being up to debate still while Niveus is stillborn in the Pyramis Family AU)

no, Joseph is not dead and a kid Guardian, he just has a Ghost on the lookout for him

Guardian!Calus belongs to his own AU while Guardian!Nefarious consists in dr. Nefarious from the game Ratchet and Clank while under the Destiny Contract

Sylvia (aka: Sylvia van Geest) is my official Guardian-sona and a completely separated entity from the Author

Vows to ash au: In which Narinder decides to bring a definitely not complaint lamb back to life after they were sacrificed a second time to help him deal with his siblings apparently not being dead dead + cult duties + he missed them terribly and the crown is slowly driving him insane. However, things don’t go as planned for the god of death since a certain someone didn’t exactly want to be alive again and in fact, would much prefer to go back to being dead, thank you. Chaos, angst and a ridiculous amount of miscommunication ensure!

What will happen? Will they get along enough to deal with this mess? Also what’s up with whole “The crown is as much of a blessing as it is a curse” thing?

All of that shall wait for now- cuz woe side characters be upon ye

ANYWAYS!! These three are kids (not really kids anymore) that were born in the cult and almost raised entirely by the lamb (Dipal was entirely raised by them), reason why they are very very loyal to them. They were also turned into disciples some time before the lamb gave the crown back. They are very close with each other and the Lamb trusts them a lot. (These three are actually my in-game disciples who were born and raised in the cult almost entirely by the lamb)

Once Shen Qingchun (Yuan) gets convicted and sentences to complete isolation someone has to take over the peak as an acting peak lord. Xue Lian was one of the only disciples Shen Qingchun chose prior to his conviction. YQY personally trains her to take over the beast peak alongside the hallmasters but Xue Lian never forgets the atrocities the peak lords have committed towards her shizun. Sometimes she still feels like that little girl holding her bunny and waiting for her shizun to return.

Is it a consequence of listening to too much Epic the Musical? Probably. Do I care? No.

So since mxtx has said that in novel canon nie huaisang is eventually going to end up being chief cultivator we can presume the headshaker thing, while based on his existing personality, was in fact an act and he is way more competent at his job than he's let on. And with Jin Guangyao dead and gone he has no reason to put on that act anymore.

Imagine being an Nie cultivator. Your flopppy incompetent sect leader comes home from traumatic events after it turns out his older brother's sworn brother- who's been over to your sect basically every other week for years now- is the one that killed said brother and you're fully prepared for tears and dramatics. And while you definitley don't like lianfang-zun since it just came out he killed your last (way more competent) sect leader he was sorta the one holding the sect together so you're bracing yourself for the worst, and instead he's... stoic? Paperwork is suddenly getting done well and on time without help. He's not wailing during negotiations anymore and you're getting actual good trade deals for the first time in over a decade. He answers questions now? With something other than "I don't know i don't know i really don't know!"

And even if you had none of the revelations wei wuxian had in guanyin temple, slowly the realization creeps up on you that all his earlier embarassing antics that cost your family their comfortable livelihoods and your sect their good name was on purpose. And from there it's not that hard to put two and two together. The rest of the cultivation world assumes the shock of jin guangyao's betrayal has finally forced the headshaker to grow up a little but you have worked side by side with him for a decade, probably even watched him grow up under his brother's rule. You know better.

How do you feel at that point? What can you even do? He's your sect leader. And he's finally doing his job, things are looking up, shouldn't you feel relieved? It' not like his incompetence really caused any deaths among the nie, just wiped out generational wealth and reputation that will take years and years to build back up. Is it really reasonable to only start hating someone for something when they've stopped doing it? Thereby proving that they were capable of stopping all along?
