Haha made another Durge! He’s an Arch fey human warlock! (I swear I’ll finish this one)
So basically me own backstory for this Durge was the he used to be a pretty formidable fighter before the memory loss but when he was taken as an experiment under moonrise (not sure what happened there canonically) he only survived since they Fey took an interest in him.
After all who wouldn’t be interested in a Bhallspawn? And basically they also helped with the memory loss and when he was taken to the nautiloid they allowed him to keep some of there powers so they could watch and be entertained.

The Chains That Bind Us
Pairing: Astarion x GN!Reader/Tav Word Count:785 Part 2
After refusing the ascendant's gift of immortality, he seeks to keep you bound to him, even if a pact has to be made to do so. (Tw: Minor mention of blood, unwilling one-sided contract?)
As promised here is more in-depth writing about Tav becoming an undead warlock with A!Astarion as the patron.
For the Tav in this, they are already a warlock with an Archfey but you can insert whichever patron you see fit.
After you parted ways from the vampire ascend, after the defeat of the nether-brain, you thought that was the last you'd hear of him. You refused his "gift" of immortality in exchange for keeping your humanity.
Until one day you returned for a reunion party with your companions at Baldur's gate to be hosted by the vampire lord in his palace.
5 years have passed since then, surely he wouldn't have any lingering feelings for you after so long, he said that he already had everything he wanted when you left him.
Upon arriving at the palace, Astarion takes you aside to discuss about some politics with you.
Accepting his offer naively thinking that you were nothing more than old comrades nowadays despite your past.
Entering the small office space, you see a large pile of papers sitting on the centre table, they give off a necrotic aura, and the quick glace makes you think it's a contract with Mephistopheles.
He points towards the papers, an offer, a way to be with him still, staying as a mortal and allowing you to still venture around Faerun. Be finally free from the mischief that your fey patron causes you in day-to-day life. Refuse and it will be the last you ever see of your companions.
A simple offer he's sure that you can't refuse and he knows. Either walk away now and betray your companions or accept being forced to give up your old contract and accept the whims of your new patron.
Frantically flicking through the pages of the contract, looking for any sort of technicality in the binding that can be used to your advantage is useless. Every single possible loophole or trick has been closed off to you.
Devastation fills you, but you shouldn't feel surprised, after all, he was a magistrate over two centuries ago. Such legally binding faults must be accounted for at all costs.
Leaving you with only one choice, you sign the contract, your name written in blood upon the rotting paper.
As you feel the last soft fey giggle in the distance fade away from you, the sudden emptiness is felt before the power of necrotic magic wraps around you, in body and soul, bound to your new patron as the contract demands.
He treats you well within his palace, a whole personal suite to yourself and serves only the finest food that the whole of Faerun has to offer. But why would a vampire ascendant want to make a pact with a mortal in the first place?
A vampire lord can't start a war with another so easily, besides it just gives them a bad publicity image. So why not send the hero of Baldur's gate to kill them, no one would bother to think twice as much.
Most tasks given by him are either to scout on the local gossip of high nobles in the city or to destroy any minor uprisings against the vampire lord, whether it is a few monster hunters to stray vampire spawn, they must be rid of at any cost, in fear of what the punishment would be for disobeying.
The power that a vampire ascend can offer to a warlock is far greater than that of a lord.
Manifesting the ascendant's dreadful power through your form of dread, not only makes you immune to being frightened so easily but changes slight parts of your physical body undergoes temporary transformation. Once dull canines now sharp enough to bite your tongue out, nails that could claw through any foe, sharp and ready to strike. You swear that your eyes glow in a deep shade of red.
Although this transformation makes you wince in pain the first few times, after a while you adjust to it reluctantly.
As your pact grows stronger with him, you start to notice small changes on your body.
The touch of the sun is no longer a gentle glow that rests on your skin, but now carries a light sting on your flesh. It never leaves a mark but the pain lingers.
The slight of blood makes your mouth water, thoughts running wild of what type of flavour each one would bring, but never giving in to the impulsion.
Glances of your reflection in the mirror would never be solid, always dancing between the fine lines of translucently.
You know keep down that you can't kill him yourself, as the contract stated "Should thou harm thou pact owner, shall be made into spawn". As if the bond isn't having that effect on you already. A slow but manageable pain.
All you can hope is that one day someone will rise up and finally free you from these chains.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hope you guys liked this, I still have a few extra ideas that I couldn't put here cause this post would be a lot longer. But if you guys want a part 2, I'll be happy to serve.

Chapter 73 - Awaken and Rest
Chapter Summary: The party reunites for a desperately-needed rest.
Pairing(s): Astarion x Male Tav (Main); Past OC x Male Tav Rating: Explicit Length: 373K+ words; Chapters 73/?? (Master Post)
Excerpt below:
When Church comes to, he finds the world frozen in time.
And then he sees her.
The Raven Queen stands there — watching him from behind an unblinking, haunted-looking Astarion. She appraises them both, tilting the pale mask of her head. Her many eyes wink as her feathers flutter in a nonexistent wind.
“Oh Church…” the Raven Queen murmurs sadly. “See how easily he overwhelms you?”
“Stay away from him!” Church snarls at her.
The Raven Queen sighs, gesturing down at the vampire spawn.
“All it took was exterminating one undead — one suffering soul — and you would have had my protection until the day you died… and beyond. Your shadow never would have bested you.”
Her mask drifts lower as her wings flex.
“It is not too late for you to win back my favor.”
Church stares at her incredulously, and he almost wants to laugh at the ludicrousness of her proposal.
“I don’t want your protection,” he spits. “I don’t want your lies, and I won’t hurt him.”
“Oh?”
The Raven Queen’s feathery body grows longer, more monstrous as she stretches forth to crawl over to him. But the tiefling stares as steadily as he can as her mask studies him closely, even though every cell of his body screams to turn and hide away.
“You saw what became of you without my protection. Is this your final decision?” she asks him softly. Dangerously.
“I won’t vow to destroy the undead,” Church says evenly. “Not for you. Not even for my own soul.”
“Your mind could die. Your soul could sunder. Is that what you wish?”
Church huffs a bitter laugh.
“Well, you said ‘could,’” he mutters. “Does that mean I have a chance after all?”
The Raven Queen laughs — as if taken aback.
“There is always a chance, however small,” she muses. “But embracing that chance also means embracing the far greater possibility of endless suffering and death.”
Church stares and stares at the frozen Astarion, wishing he had time to help him understand…
“I don’t want to die,” he croaks. “But I want him to live more.”
“Even if his life will bring more death and damnation? Not only to you, but to many, many others?”
Church closes his eyes for a moment. He can still smell the foul blood and viscera caked into his clothing by whatever transpired during his sleep.
“…yes,” he whispers.
The Raven Queen’s mask looms over him, studying him closely.
And then she giggles.
“How delightful,” she murmurs. “How curious. How deeply…” she takes a deep, shuddering breath as she retreats back into her smaller form. “How… horrible,” she says, voice distant, “Oh. I see your path before you — the turns in the road manifesting like newborn stars. You poor things…”
Church frowns at her.
“What are you—?”
“Where one door closes… another opens,” the Raven Queen lilts. “I still see tragedy in your futures. Such sweet, sweet tragedy. But, oh! It is ever-shifting. Yes, so many possibilities are ripe for the picking…”
Church swallows, his mouth dry.
“You intrigue me, child,” the Raven Queen declares, amused. “I will keep my eyes on you both. I will send my witnesses. They know your names.”
“Just leave him alone!” Church beseeches her. “Leave us alone.”
“Fret not, child. No pact will be made today… by your choice alone,” she says softly. “But the offer still stands, for as long as you are capable of making that choice. And that choice will linger there beside you — your destiny. Your doom.”
Church reminds himself to breathe.
“So what happens now?” he asks her, voice cracking. “Is my soul lost? Is that the tragedy?”
The Raven Queen hums dubiously.
“I see the potential for a tragedy far more delicious… provided you survive this one. You will have a short reprieve when you wake,” she says enigmatically. “What you will do with it, I do not know. Not yet. You will play your part, and my children will watch. Whether it’s tomorrow or a hundred years from now, we will be waiting for you.
“And then, when all has come to pass, I will see your face in the Fortress of Memories, my child. And when that happens…” she summons the silver orbs of Astarion’s memories once again, smiling at them. “...you may collect what was lost.”
Without further ado, she disappears in a flurry of wings.
Church slumps back to the ground, his consciousness fading as time begins to pass once more.
Without the protection of any entities, it’s only a matter of time before the shadows will claim him again.
Well.
He won’t spend it waiting for that to happen.

Pre-game events, Durge storyline and how it deviated (completely crashing it) from Tav's
(and at last some actual Durge Kore, yay!)
(cartoony blood under the cut🔻)
--------
bonus: freshly out of the pact (hence new goth looks) warlock tiefling kid
re: the "Original Patron" from Tav's run gets new agents by "retiring" the old ones, blood is needed (killed quickly with the cerimonial knife is better, but they make do). the retired ones become immortal observers AND advisors to the new warlocks. yay!

I can't get the idea of a faerie/fae Dark Urge out of my mind. Like she's Bhaal's little insect faerie princess (who may or may not also be of a bloodline descended from an arch fey like Mab or Oona), that one minute was causing chaos in the feywilds and the next got drawn into the material plane. Sure she's an absolute murder gremlin but she also steals names, eats dreams, harvests teeth to turn to gold, mentally fucks with most people, constantly playing with magic. She looks somewhat normal (elven, light pink skin, an abundance of freckles some looking star shaped, pink hair, and tiefling like eyes; black scalera with purple irises) yet when at times you look upon her shadow there's wings upon her silhouette. And then at some point the glamour slips revealing an extra set of eyes and arms as well as a pair of iridescent butterfly-like wings.
Idk. I've already named her Ithaca and in some ways I've modeled her after traditional faeries with a weird hint of orchid mantis vibes. Just a sparkly girl that was dropping bodies like sheep in the feywilds before getting lured to Faerun. Everything is a game and her brand of fun can either been comical or downright deadly. And being fae there's the aspects of deception and being alluring/charming to boot.
I still haven't decided if she would embrace her legacy of bhaalspawn or reject it. Maybe the latter because it just gets to a point of being no fun anymore
#bg3 durge#she's a nuisance but also can be fun at parties#The epitome of weird girl and creepy cute vibes#currently I've got her as a bard/wild magic sorcerer/archfey warlock#in game at least

Tav art dump incoming!
Pei-Jee, inspired by my huge ass crush on Scottish National Orchestra's principal cello, this is completely normal and I am sure the real life cellist would not have any issues knowing I picked him to represent my first go at a (resist) durge run.
Wizard, Astarion romancer, dimples, happy to see beloved NPCs walk out and right into death's arms. No man is an island but this elf for sure is. (Astarion is allowed to sit on this island >.>)
Jindra, my first Tav, they/them representation of my own dream physical form. Fey Warlock, with a very benevolent albeit chaotic archfey patron who looks like Cody Fern because I say so.
Intrigued by the wizard man's smart words and completely lost in his full blast of romantic dedication. Abused orphan background in dire need of unconditional, caring love.
Antonin, a BG3 variant of my current D&D character! A slavic mythology inspired water spirit druid so of course he ended up with the one character who can't swim.
A very good boy, loves tiefling kids even when they pickpocket him. His theme song is "Nature Boy".

OKAY I managed to get a screenshot of my Tav, Loreleia (ended up doing a Durge run myself with this character lol). Loreleia is a 247 yr old High Elf who is both an Archfey Warlock and Bard. Considering her background of growing up in nobility and her Charisma, I like to think she's not only charming, saying honey tongued words to sweet talk her way into things, but can be really deceptive and manipulative. She does love to dance a lot and does tend to use her magic from her patron to basically grab attention from her crowd whenever she plays her music or dances to basically be a distraction for her companions. Sorry if this is a lot >///< I just really love your writing sm

Want more Durge content check the Masterlist
How you both met:
I rolled a d10 for this and the both of you met at the Grove actually. Fighting off the Goblins and worgs that attacked. Durge appreciated the help and the courage you brought into the fight.
How do you both get along?:
Oh absolutely, Loreleia has a good charisma so it makes sense you gain the Dragonborn’s trust how Durge feels drawn to you while getting to k know the party members. You actually both talk through out the night a lot. Even when he is trying to remember his memories it’s all a blur to him. You even tried your best to help him but it’s all dead ends.
Who confessed first?:
Loreleia did, Durge was honestly surprised you thought of him as lover material. Honestly some of your party members notice Durge was pinning for you but the DragonBorn was too nervous to say anything especially when you flustered the helm out of him. You told him at the party when you finally defeated the Goblins. He was pretty happy to hear you like him that way. Now did you both have sex that night.
Yep after the party absolutely. You actually invited him and you both snuck out into the woods. He actually let you top while he was the power bottom. He was still in charge but he loved seeing you bouncing off his lap while you took in his large DragonBorn cock. But after awhile he just pinned you onto the ground with your knees folded over his shoulders and finished inside you biting your shoulder leaving a mark. Ouch~
Adorable headcannons?:
Durge loves to hear you sing, it soothes him and calms him down. I like to imagine he rests his head onto your lap and you stroke each horn on his head singing a soft song and he definitely falls asleep loving the sweet melody in his ears. You also taught him to dance with you. The way Durge was nervous at first but you were a good teacher. Maybe when they reach Baldurs gate you both should go to parties and dance.
He does give you pet names like “little sparrow.” Is one of them. Itov will always be a pet name (it means love in DragonBorn) and another would be “sia gra'kul” (it means my heart).
How does Seleritas feel about you:
The master choose a high elf as his mate? The thought, why couldn’t it be something vile that would worship Bhaal? The Butler accidentally thought you were Drow but Durge told him you were high elf. Ew really master? Cringe. But the butler kept his mouth shut, he don’t reveal himself to you until the time was right. Though he can see through your pretty face and charm. Nothing but a manipulative deceptive young woman… could try to convince the master to shape her to be a fine concubine maybe?
Good or bad ending?:
I assume you want Both so here are my thoughts
Good: Durge didn’t accept the gift of Bhaal and was no longer cursed. Being a noble family you had to introduce your new lover to your parents. It’s hard to tell if they were okay with the match making or not. Who to expect they’re daughter made love to a DragonBorn oh gods… but was their any marriage on the table? That’s up to you, after all you both are going to be together… also your parents expect grand kids cause you are a noble… Durge does have that breeding kink 👀 how many you want?
Bad: Durge finally getting the respect he deserves, killing Orin, takin the Slayers form. And claiming you as his consort. With a little convincing you definitely took his side. How he controls the Elder brain. “In Bhaal’s name.” He definitely has a short leash on you. Your on his lap on the throne, a hand definitely on your thigh close to your core not being subtle about it either. You’re his wife, his consort of enslaving Baldurs Gate. No one is to have you… anyone tries to even compliment you, he makes you watch grabbing the person’s head, breaking their jaw and taking a knife cutting their tongue off as the victim drowns in their own blood. Watching them suffer. They should know better
Hope this was good!!! I am so happy someone did this!!! Please if anyone want to know send your Tav’s please!!!

Hand, Hearth, and Home
Chapter 69 - A Hand to Hold
Chapter Summary: As he proves to be a troublesome prey, Church's dream attempts to ensnare him in the sweetest, most poisonous trap. Shadowheart begins her trials for the Gauntlet of Shar. Church meets a beautiful stranger.
Pairing(s): Astarion x Male Tav (Main); Past OC x Male Tav Rating: Explicit Length: 358K+ words; Chapters 69/?? (Master Post)
Excerpt below:
The sun has gone down by the time Church makes it back into the city, but lights cast the roads in warm, flickering light. It is still early enough in the evening that the streets continue to bustle with crowds, especially with a festival in the square.
On stage, Church spots his friend — the bard D’vana — as resplendent as ever as she performs and dances beneath the glittering lights of her cantrips. Her music floats through the city long before he sees her.
He is tempted to take a pause and watch, drinking in the sweet, lilting music… but he needs to focus. Amid these crowds, his heart looks for one person. There are a myriad of humanoids with white and silver hair of all textures and lengths — it would be impossible to spot just one from here on the ground level.
And so Church makes his way into one of the taverns, weaving through the patrons as he ascends the staircases to reach the balcony overlooking the square. There are customers milling about out here, drinking and making merry beneath the stars.
Church slumps against the railing, breathing in the night air that tastes of spilled ale and smoke.
It all smells so… real.
He must be going mad. Did he panic after Tavi asked him to move in with him? Is he just overwhelmed by… everything about that?
Has he been writing so long that he can no longer tell the difference between fact and fiction?
“Well hello there, stranger.”
Church’s heart pounds in his chest as he summons the courage to turn towards that voice.
“Do I… know you?” the tiefling asks, even though in his heart…
You have been looking for him for some time.
“Perhaps not,” the elf drawls, stroking an elegant hand along the railing as he draws closer to the tiefling. “But I know your face. How could I forget a face like yours, even in a crowded place like this?”
Church stares and stares at him. He’s familiar, but so alien and strange as he tries to connect the dots in his mind. The links shatter every time.
“What’s your name, sweet thing?” the elf purrs, leaning in with heavy eyes — red like rubies in the lantern light.
“I’m… Church,” the tiefling manages to say.
“Well,” the elf chuckles. “I can’t say I’ve heard a name like yours before. I’m…”
“...Astarion,” Church breathes, and gods, his head hurts but the hurt is good. The hurt is right.
How did he forget Astarion?
How could he forget Astarion?
The elf’s confident smile twitches into a momentary frown before carefully composing itself again.
“Ah, well… no,” he titters. “My name is… Petras, actually…”
“Astarion,” Church repeats, his eyes wide as he drinks in the sight of the apprehensive elf. “Gods… how could I…?”
Astarion’s mouth twitches into a small grimace as he pulls away. “You must have confused me for someone else.”
“Astarion!” Church repeats, grasping hold of the elf’s hand before it can leave his side. The elf looks at him with alarm, rage, and… fear? “Don’t you remember me?”
Astarion levels a cold gaze upon him.
And then it softens.
“Of… of course I remember you… Church,” the elf coos. “It’s been too long, hasn’t it?”
He presses himself up against Church’s body, whispering into his ear.
“How about we go somewhere a bit quieter to catch up?”

Ok, so, I've narrowed my Durge playthrough classes down. I do plan on romancing Astarion, and letting him ascend in my Durge playthrough. So, with that in mind, here's my class list I'm thinking of. What do y'all think? Also, feel free to tag, comment, or send a message/ask with reasons or other ideas.
