If I keep reading comments from people comparing Logan and Colapinto I swear I'm going to stop being a friendly blog and I'm going to be one of the most fucking aggressive blogs.

To begin with, they did not have the same car, LOGAN DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE SAME CAR AS ALEX and let's not forget that JV was not the one who saw that spark in Logan, he never saw him as a possible driver for Williams or as someone to accompany Alex, the the one who saw that potential in Logan was Jost Capito, not James. Not to mention all those derogatory comments from journalists towards Logan for being American (I really don't understand why that was a problem).

Colapinto has the support of both the Argentines and his own fans and James himself. Logan didn't really have a support network like Franco's, which, realistically, added to the pressure of being in one of the most competitive sports, is not exactly the most favorable for a person's self-esteem and confidence.

Logan was not only compared to Alex, his teammate with more experience in both F1 and Williams, but also to Oscar, Oscar, who drives a McLaren, who probably had more experience regarding F1 cars, Oscar, that always stood out in the rest of the categories and that has Mark Webber as support.

Also, reprimanding Carlos with hand gestures just after the race. I know Carlos is too level headed, he'll just take it. There's no friend in this sport but all this has been such an eye-opener to me.

aceyuu is a better ship than ayayui IN ALL WAYS!

Is even funny how Ace and Ayato look so similar to each other but their attitude towards the mc is SO different, even if both are writed as "kinda mean" in the start(abusive in Ayato's case) they have completly different attitudes towards Yui/Yuu.

I know that Ayato's background is the main reason of his way of being, BUT IN MOST ROUTES HE STAYS THE SAME, even if he has development he dosen't want Yui to be happy WITHOUT HIM.

Even if there's moments where he protects her or is "nice" to her those are moments that happen to make Yui feel like she "owes" him for just having a little decency towards her.

Even after their are dating Ayato still objectifies her, makes fun of her, abuses her, etc, there's no change in his way of acting towards Yui.

But Ace is a completly different story, he always looks after the mc/Yuu, he riskes his life IN MANY OCASSIONS for Yuu, he is protective over their well being and most of all YUU'S HAPPINESS IS IMPORTANT TO HIM, HIS FUCKING DREAM IN CHAPTER 7 IS ALL ABOUT YUU'S HAPPINESS AND BEING CAPABLE OF RETURNING TO THEIR NORMAL LIFE! THAT'S LOVE RIGHT THERE AND IS NOT EVEN AN OTOME GAME!!!

Even before chapter 7 there's many, MANY moments of Ace being protective,caring and even flirty towards Yuu, like punching riddle after making fun of yuu in chapter 1,the comments of sharing bed in the chapters 1 and 3, how worried he is for Yuu's safety in chapter 3, the fact that the moment he heard that Yuu was in trouble in chapter 4 he RUN to help them in the blink of an eye without thinking about his winter vacations, and there's more!

Ayato's would never think of Yui's happiness as much as Ace does for Yuu's, and thats why aceyuu is a more realistic and wholesome ship than ayayui.

¡aceyuu es un mejor ship que ayayui EN TODOS LOS SENTIDOS!

Es incluso gracioso cómo Ace y Ayato se parecen tanto entre sí pero su actitud hacia el MC es TAN diferente, incluso si ambos están escritos como "un poco malos" al principio (abusivo en el caso de Ayato), tienen actitudes completamente diferentes hacia Yui/Yuu.

Sé que el pasado de Ayato es la principal razón de su forma de ser, PERO EN LA MAYORÍA DE LAS RUTAS SIGUE IGUAL, aunque tenga desarrollo no quiere que Yui sea feliz SIN ÉL.

Incluso si hay momentos en los que él la protege o es "agradable" con ella, esos son momentos que hacen que Yui sienta que le "debe" sólo tener un poco de decencia hacia ella.

Incluso después de que están saliendo, Ayato todavía la objetiviza, se burla de ella, abusa de ella, etc, no hay cambios en la forma en que actúa hacia Yui.

Pero Ace es una historia completamente diferente, siempre cuida del MC/Yuu, arriesga su vida EN MUCHAS OCASIONES por Yuu, protege su bienestar y sobre todo, LA FELICIDAD DE YUU ES IMPORTANTE PARA ÉL, ¡SU PUTO SUEÑO EN EL CAPÍTULO 7 ES SOBRE LA FELICIDAD DE YUU Y PODER REGRESAR A SU VIDA NORMAL! ¡¡¡ESO ES AMOR Y NI SIQUIERA ES UN JUEGO OTOME!!!

Incluso antes del capítulo 7 hay muchos, MUCHOS momentos en los que Ace es protector, afectuoso e incluso coqueto con Yuu, como golpear a Riddle después de burlarse de Yuu en el capítulo 1, los comentarios de compartir cama en los capítulos 1 y 3, lo preocupado que está por la seguridad de Yuu en el capítulo 3, el hecho de que en el momento en que escuchó que Yuu estaba en problemas en el capítulo 4 CORRIÓ para ayudarle en un abrir y cerrar de ojos sin pensar en sus vacaciones de invierno, ¡y hay m��s!

another thing that i've seen that is very popular in fandom spaces when people talk about gendrya and really irks me is:

people seem to have this impression that gendry can't actually stand arya or being around her pretty much, but he doesn't have any other choice, so he stays around her. honestly, this time i blame the "pain in my ass" line and the fact that in the show, i don't get the impression that there ever was a friendship between them, just an older boy alongside a little child, with said older boy being angry to be put in the position of being that child's caretaker (even when said child directly saved his life)

because in the books even when gendry was the angriest he has ever been at arya back in harrenhal, after the weasel soup (if i remember correctly) there still was a sense of trust lying underneath their interactions, still a "us vs. them" feeling and connection that was important to both of them.

also doesn't really make sense to me that the time when they decided to show us that gendry doesn't trust highborns and nobility and how he dislikes them altogether was after stannis incarcerated him.

(i want to go on a tangent about the melissandre/gendry fiasco, but at the same time i don't want to, but what you have to know about my position in this is that i am deeply disappointed. i think that book!gendry would have been a lot more distrustful about mel showing interest in him, also, book!gendry doesn't actually think with his cock, and that makes him very different from practically 90% of the male westerosi population. i'm not trying to say that show!gendry was to blame for what happened to him, but rather highlight a distinction between the two versions of gendry we got.

this is going to sound a little weird, but i think that melissandre assaulting gendry was an excellent opportunity to show that sexual assault can happen to anyone. and yes. men get raped too; if you actually disagree with that statement, i don't know what to tell you... sexual assault is not a crime of passion and desire; it is about a person asserting power over their victim. and if i remember correctly, gendry at the start of all this was consenting, and the production had another great opportunity to show a large audience that in any sexual act you can revoke consent at any given time... and what we actually got was other characters later on mocking the fact that gendry was sexually assaulted by a woman because he was a man, which makes me want to tear my hair off!)

coming back to the point i wanted to make was, after this, we see gendry going "i hate those bitches (highborns) and all of them suck ass."

what about that little girl who was part of the nobility that saved your life once and cared for your well-being? is this supposed to be unimportant because she had a dumb crush on you and that was her only motivation?

i think that their book's counterpart both shared a "this person is different from the rest" moment with book!arya we were able to read that exact sentence in the text. and for book!gendry i think that sentiment is shown with the devotion he still has for his friend, even after they got separated.

also have you seen how book!gendry behaves around other girls who aren't arya, the boy is fucking rude to all of them. is like no other girl can compare to arya in his mind (only arya was different... amirite, gendry?) and that's so important to me, important enough to make this post.

instead in the show we got a gendry that seems to have completely forgotten about this little kid called arya, because she wasn't important at all until she appeared in the winterfell's forge, and then he couldn't ignore her anymore because she was right in front of him.

i don't have the link, but honorary mention to that post on tumblr that shows how in the books, the period of time where gendry most smiled and laughed was during his time with arya.

Do you know something that honestly bothers me? that when they want to make retellings of Greek stories, they almost always go for the figures that really do not deserve their own story.

I KNOW IT SOUNDS BAD, BUT LISTEN.

Circe, for example, from this woman (who turned out to be quite controversial) Madeline, they try to sell you Circe's story as a "feminist" retelling and normally there would be nothing wrong with that.

The issue is that Circe (in the myths and from what I understand in the book) is not at all feminist.

I mean, she is a morally gray woman, I respect that, but is it really a good idea to use as an example of a "feminist" a woman who 1- killed a man who did not want to be unfaithful to his wife with her, 2- converted an innocent nymph in a MONSTER (Scylla) only for an unrequited love (again) and 3- in Telogony, after Odysseus dies (her supposed "lover" who in some versión she ENCHANTED, at the hands of the son they had together) she marries HIS ANOTHER SON.

Since when did a woman who tramples on men or hurts other women for her own benefit become a "feminist" or "girlboss"??

WITH SO MANY OTHER POSSIBLE SCENARIOS TO MAKE RETELINGS OF GREEK MYTHOLOGY AND THEY DECIDE TO GO FOR CIRCE?
