I see dean having a kinda sappy romantic side he tries to hide from sam (he can't damage his bad boy reputation okay). I imagine them making out in the impala —slow and intense, nothing rushed—and then dean, without saying a word, reaches out to the cassette deck. "nothing else matters" by metallica starts playing. sam stares at him like are you serious? and rolls his eyes (but he can't hide his lovesick smile, dimples and all). dean tells him to shut up and holds his face with both hands and gives him a kiss that tastes like a love song

I like to think that Dean is secretly sappy. He loves to make fun of Sam and calls him a girl for being emotionally intelligent. But, Dean is the one who says the most romantic shit to Sam when emotions run high during a fight. The guy who says 'no chick flick moments' will give Sam the love confession of the century every year or so, but then act like nothing happened afterwards.

So, I feel like he is the type to be really romantic, but he hides it like it's a secret that could destroy their lives. He is so embarrassed about it for absolutely no reason whatsoever. He's like, "I can't say/do that! I have a reputation to uphold!" To whom? Nobody knows! He's the only one who thinks that. He wonders if Sam would like flowers or if he should buy him his favourite snack as a treat and immediately thinks to himself, "LAME🫵! Aren't you ashamed of yourself???" He is his worst enemy 💀.

i just think that when you’re used to having two rambunctious kids in the back seat messing around and playing i spy and telling each other silly jokes and farting and burping and debating who’s taller and asking you questions about the world and singing along to the music you used to listen to with their mother and laughing so hard at absolutely nothing. i just think when those boys aren’t there cause you couldn’t bring them along on this one, couldn’t risk it, and the car’s empty and cavernously quiet, that you’d really fucking miss them. and you’d call bobby just so you could hear their voices, hear them argue lemME talk to him! no sam give me the phone! back and forth before they inevitably accidentally end the call. and you’d do this every day until you got back to them, sometimes multiple times a day, sometimes in the middle of the night because you couldn’t sleep without the sound of their breathing.
