honestly same lmao. basically nothing has actually changed, they edited some stuff in their TOS and how they were structured, just to improve the wording and make them clearer to understand. so there was nothing actually "new" to agree to. watch this video by tinawithana because she explains it better than I can!

afaik the only tangible thing that has changed for us users is that the warning tag "Underage" will now say "Underage sex", to make its meaning clear

so no, ao3 is not selling your data (they keep as little data about users as possible anyways) to anyone, and they're not handing it to the US government. but use common sense and remember that ao3 is like any other US-based site – if for example you committed a crime and posted about it online and you were being investigated and the site was given a court mandated order to provide their data on you, they'd have to do it. but that's just basic online safety and common sense. if you want a more in-depth explanation on this, check out this post too
