You're twisting my words, I never said those are the same, it's obviously not. I'm saying their traumas (and trauma in general) are NOT quantifiable for you to measure which is worse. Their stories are way more than just those two things, and Cassian's trauma comes from much worse things than than just "living with his bad mom."

Cassian and the other kids were on their own without adults presumably for years, he was responsible for his sister

he was drugged, kidnapped, separated from his sister who most likely died, forced to adapt to this new world he didn't understand and was scared of, forced to change his name, etc etc

was sent to juvie for three years at only thirteen after witnessing his father's death

was at Mimban

Jyn for her part grew up with soldiers and was a child soldier

was abandoned by Saw at only 16, lived on the streets, forced to adapt and survive on her own

both sent to labour camps to build the death star, their own demise

So what are you trying to prove, that Jyn's trauma is in fact worse and Cassian's is lesser? Congrats on missing the entire point. I think maybe you're the one minimizing Cassian's trauma here. When did Andor say he had it okay? Listen, I'm not the biggest fan of that backstory for him either, as I've mentioned before, but I don't think Andor ever said that. At all.

I'm not saying living with a bad mom vs on the street are the same. I'm saying we shouldn't compare their trauma in general, and that their stories are more than just those two specific things, it's the sum of everything. I'm saying that it isn't normal behavior to look at them and go "she suffered more!" or "he suffered more!"

And as a friend said, no, their traumas are not comparable in the sense they're different but I think they both suffer like hell. So why are we doing this? Really, WHY are you trying to pit them against each other?

Also if you wanna be pedantic, even with the aging up, he wasn't in his 30s but whatever.

Do you know about Greaser Sans, the 50’s themed Sans? He’s a funky guy and he’s paired a lot with Fresh because they’re both themed after specific time periods and their creators both ship them as well. I always love their dynamic since it’s ‘Parasitic entity that is a mockery of its time’ + ‘Average dude that is actually from his time period’

People love shipping them together which I think is very amusing because Fresh is aroace I believe and Greaser canonically couldn’t commit to a relationship to save his life.

That’s all, I absolutely love your art!! All your headcannons about Fresh and Nightmare has made me see them in a totally new light and your choice of coloring makes my brain happy. The way you draw people are so shape-shaped

I do know who Greaser is. Unfortunately, I am terminally disinterested in him, especially in context with Fresh. I'm sure he's a lovely character, I have just never seen a portrayal that caught any of my interest.

This was a requested topic: let’s talk about HIV risk and oral sex. 

First things first: It’s not considered completely risk-free, but the risk of getting HIV from receiving or giving oral sex is considered low. 

Now, in some more detail: 

Giving oral sex may be a bit riskier than receiving. This is because of the potential contact with your partners bodily fluids (vaginal fluids, menstrual blood or semen), and also because you may have small cuts or sores in your mouth without even being aware of them) but both giving and receiving oral sex is still lower risk than vaginal or anal sex. 

Mouth-to-penis sex is thought to be riskier than mouth-to-vagina sex. 

Mouth-to-anus sex is also considered low-risk. 

Something that is important to consider is that many people have oral sex AND vaginal/anal sex in the same session, which may make it harder in retrospect to say during which sexual activity exactly an infection occurred. 

While oral sex is a lower risk in general, your personal risk may be higher. For example if: 

you have sores or small cuts on/in your mouth or genitals 

you have bleeding gums

there’s menstrual blood present 

you have another STD 

As with any sexual activity, it goes here too: You can reduce the risk by practicing safer sex! For oral sex that means using a condom (penis) or dental dam (vagina or anus). You can also cut a condom length-wise and use it as a dental dam. Use a new one every time you have sex (and also if you switch from oral to vaginal or anal sex, or the other way around, during the same session).

A condom or dental dam will also lower the risk of other STDs (such as chlamydia or herpes) and infections (such as hepatitis, which you can get from mouth-to-anus sex). 

If you both have a negative HIV test, and you both do not have other STDs and neither of you has sex with other people, it’s generally considered safe to not use condoms or dental dams. But if you are not 100% sure, it’s always better to err on the side of caution and use one. 

The same goes for testing: if you recently had oral sex and you worry you were potentially exposed to HIV during it, you probably don’t need to freak out since it’s a lower risk - but for your own peace of mind, it’s still a good idea to talk to a doctor about getting tested. (If you don’t feel comfortable going to your regular doctor or you worry about costs, there may be testing sites near you that offer free and confidential tests. For example in community health centers, pharmacies or mobile clinics. Look it up online! You may also be able to buy a self-testing kit online.) Keep in mind that HIV isn’t an automatic death sentence anymore if it gets diagnosed and treated early on!

Apparently I need to post this reminder!

I’m getting hate for something someone posted in a server I’m no longer associated with.

Part of why I gave up the server was the extreme stress and trying to balance multiple people’s needs, and constantly getting hate.

Apparently even if I leave any group spaces, I’m still going to get hate because somehow anyone’s views in there are automatically mine, so I honestly give up trying to defend or explain myself. Hate is just going to be blocked and ignored.

It’s not worth my time or energy to try and convince anyone otherwise because I think people are just committed to finding reasons to hate me at this point and use me as a person to vent all their anger at.

why is it okay for killer to be unhealthily obsessed with color but it suddenly crosses a line when it's dust or someone else

Because it is acknowledged as unhealthy when it becomes unhealthy, is because killer is a traumatized character who hasn’t had healthy relationships in years and tends to think of them in terms of a hierarchy, and because the whole point of killer’s ending with color is that he doesn’t stay that way forever and is having help and support and therapy.

Not to mention I am all about staying close to canon and I firmly believe Killer would not even care enough about Dust to become ‘obsessed’ or fixated. Color is the only person who has not only made Killer feel something in years consistently, but makes him feel real and treats him as if he’s real.

Of course the traumatized disordered man who already struggles to tell what is and isn’t real latches on to that and is a bit terrorital. Color is literally the only person or thing that has made him feel an inch of happiness in years—the only one who has made him feel like an actual person, the one keeping him grounded and will not just let him slip away into his detachment—outside of his cats—which, if you’d recall, are not safe from Nightmare. Color at least has the abilities to fight back and fight back good. Killer is attracted to his strength, after all, amongst many things. (Something Dust does not have, btw, ergo not safe to bother trying to attach to.)

My main issue was never that Killer was obsessed. My issue was that its sexualized almost all the time, it happens for hardly any explainable reasons that make sense and it happens with characters he wouldn’t feel that way towards—and im never given a reason as to why im supposed to believe that this character—known for his apathy and neutrality towards most people and detachment and genuine lack of ability to form many emotional attachments—is behaving that way. And so I am only left to assume it’s because the person depicting it is a Dust or Nightmare simp and want me to believe that Killer would feel the same way about these characters that they do.

I read your posts about Lan Xichen and Lan Wangji, and I want to ask:

We know that Lan Xichen does care for Lan Wangji (in his own weird way), but does he respect Lan Wangji as a person?

When he blamed Wei Wuxian for "playing his brother's feelings", not going to lie, but why does he make it sound like Lan Wangji is a child who can't do anything about it? And when he blamed Wei Wuxian for Lan Wangji’s punishment, idk but in my eyes, that meant he never respected Lan Wangji’s decision to protect Wei Wuxian.

Lan Xichen blaming Wei Wuxian for Lan Wangji’s punishment (when Lan Wangji himself made the decision to protect Wei Wuxian) reminds me too much of Jiang Cheng blaming Wei Wuxian for Jiang Yanli's death (when she sacrificed herself to protect Wei Wuxian). It's like taking away their right to make their own decisions.

This really got me thinking about their relationship because what is love without respect?

I think the answer to this is a little bit complicated. I think that Lan Xichen respects Lan Wangji except when it comes to Wei Wuxian, and that is the only exception because it is one of the few places where he cannot understand his brother and, thus, doesn’t know how to process that his brother may be hurt for a cause that would only hurt him except through lashing out at said cause. To be clear, too: the thing he doesn’t understand is not that Lan Wangji would be interested in Wei Wuxian but that Lan Wangji would be so interested that he would “eschew his morals”—as the Lan Clan sees it—for a path that would only lead to pain despite the warning lesson from their own parents’ experience. Lan Wangji accepted a life-threatening punishment just to support Wei Wuxian, a support that Lan Xichen witnesses be rejected, so it makes sense that he would be angry on his brother’s behalf. Still doesn’t mean it was his place to lash out or that he was in any way right in his actions or words.

Unfortunately, I think the biggest issue is that Lan Xichen is being an overprotective big bro in defense of his brother when the actual situation has already revealed that he is the one who’s been cavorting with a snake who is only using him. So it becomes less of an issue about respect and more of an issue of hypocrisy and projection. On the other hand, despite not agreeing with his brother’s support of Wei Wuxian, Lan Xichen still allows Lan Wangji to hide him in the Cloud Recesses to recover and takes both of them into the secret library to search for evidence that his sworn brother was a murderer, all because Lan Wangji was steadfast in his belief of what Wei Wuxian had seen despite not viewing Nie Mingjue’s memories, himself. That is definitely a sign of respect, even if it came with disagreement.
