The sacrifice of Obi-Wan Kenobi

He is too far gone.

Obi-Wan hadn’t wanted to admit it, but he can’t continue to deny it.

Anakin is gone.

He barely recognises the man that stands before him now. He has done unspeakable things in the jedi temple, he has hurt Padmé, he has been trying to kill Obi-Wan for the last fifteen minutes, while Obi-Wan tried to tire him out to speak with him.

Now they stand in front of each other, and Obi-Wan has Anakin’s lightsaber in his left hand, his own on his right.

He is not fool enough to think that Anakin is defenceless without his lightsaber, but the fight has stopped for now. Obi-Wan is not sure the change has been for the best, the words that had come out of the man before him hurting him in ways he had never considered possible.

Until now, Obi-Wan had held out hope that Anakin could come back to him but his words, the look on his eyes, so far gone, have crushed the hope in him.

“You can’t kill me Obi-Wan” The man with Anakin’s face says. And Obi-Wan knows that he is right, or at least partly.

Obi-Wan knows that to strike Ankin down would burn his own heart to ash. Obi-Wan knows that he would never be able to kill Anakin Skywalker and then continue with his life, continue living. He also knows that there’s only one way for this to end. Obi-Wan can’t let Anakin continue like this.

“You are right.” Obi-Wan says. Anakin looks at him with surprise, just for a second, and then the frown, full of hatred, is back on his face. Obi-Wan throws Anakin’s lightsaber to the side and sees Anakin following it with his gaze. “I could never kill you. I should have listened to you, I should have helped you. I am sorry Anakin. I’m sorry you didn’t feel like you could trust me, like I was there for you when you needed me.”

There is doubt in Anakin’s eyes now, like he can’t quite believe what Obi-Wan is saying. Obi-Wan takes a step towards Anakin and when he doesn’t move, he keeps walking. “I love you Anakin” he confesses. There is shock in Anakin’s eyes again and when Obi-Wan finally closes the distance between them and takes him in his arms he doesn’t fight it.

Obi-Wan hugs Anakin closer to him, as hard as he can, and positions his lightsaber facing Anakin’s back.

“I’m sorry.” He whispers.

Obi-Wan lights the lightsaber. Feels it burn his chest.

Anakin moves then. He twitches, trying to move away from Obi-Wan, and he can feel his shock in the force. Obi-Wan holds him against him so he doesn’t move with the last of his strength as he feels the tears run down his face, the blood in his mouth.

Obi-Wan somehow always knew that he would die with Anakin by his side. He just never imagined it would be by his own hand, that he would kill both sides of his soul in the same move.

Hello dear, yes of course. I was amused by the idea of it a while ago, something along the lines of Obi-Wan gets stuck on Tatooine and meets a beautiful sex worker (?) who is rather adamant about leaving the god forsaken planet.

Anakin dreams of a long embrace. The form of the man who is holding him is familliart, in complete contrast to the very brief acquittance they shared. It is however, befitting of dreams, of th not waking time when everything makes sense. Especially to him.

Anakin Skywalker is dreaming.

It wasn’t one of the normal dreams, he can tell almost as soon as his mind starts coming into focus. This sort of dreams comes infrequently but when it does it leaves a deep impression, usually putting him in a mood or elation for days to come, depending on the contents. Those dreams come true, more often than not. Anakin likes to think about them as his brain, his subconscious, putting forth things he had seen but missed though the months. This is a much better outlook than the much more unsettling option of seeing the future. Once, while younger, Anakin would have thought is an exciting prospect, to be able to see into the future, perhaps he would have wanted to dream of the results of a race and bet his freedom away. Now, he’d like to believe himself a little smarter. It doesn’t seem like anything good can come out of a power like this, nothing good but a lot of worry.

This night, it’s a good night fortunately. He is embraced by a man who is warm and smells sweetly of a planet that is not his personal sand hell. He cannot hear the words he is saying but he is aware enough that he is speaking with a foreign accent that rolls off of his tongue with ease. Robes, Anakin thinks as his hazy eyes focus on the browns and beiges and the glinter of silver. Jedi. He laughs, even in a dream he feels surprised. He had thought that his dreams of Jedi were well and truly over, he used to dream of them almost every week, nearly every night around his night year of life. Then they stopped, abruptly. And now….

Now he was being embraced, warm and close, the intimate sort of hug, by a Jedi he had never seen in his life. Anakin smiles, feeling relief. “So there you are.” he says, thinks in his dream “I wondered where you were.” and he buries his nose in his neck and he hugs him tight and good and he feels sated, good in a way he hasn’t since he was a small child in his mother’s embrace. This…this is what he’s been missing. “I wish you weren’t a dream.” he says, or thinks, or both. The man in his arms is radiating confusion, even in the hazy swirls of Anakin’s mind he can tell the puzzlement, the confused way he holds onto him. He doesn’t let go though, Ankin notes, but of course he won’t, he is his dream of a perfect man. Anakin should be surprised he is dreaming of men, but in those sort of dreams, everything becomes sharply real, acutely in tune with his self. If this is what he dreams then this is what he wants. Anakin had learnt to not ignore his intuition. This is what he likes to call it most of the time. Intuition, his sharpened sense of right and wrong. And if his intuition tells him that a brown robed, foreign accented Jedi is what he needs… well then this is what he’d get, eventually.

Anakin wakes up softly, sweetly lingering in the feeling of arms around his body, of rightfulness of such that he hadn’t known in years. He wonders if he’d dream of his Jedi tonight as well, it felt a strong dream, nearly as strong as the vague dreams from his childhood. It was a near dream, he had learnt to tell apart, those that feel vague and distant and those that feel like they’re just about to shape up and happen soon.

This one felt almost imminent.

procrastinating school work so let me talk about my starwars (Anakin) aus

There's that lion!Vader Au, if I named it I don't remember the name but basically, either Anakin doesn't tell Padme where he's going or she doesn't go to Mustafar. might actually have R2D2 with Padme as her bodyguard or Anakin just didn't want r2 to know what he did to the separatist leaders. anakin doesn't come back from Mustafar because when he leaves the planet, the force decides 'okay, enough atrocities for the next... two decades.' and transforms him into a lion and sends him to a green planet. Sidious finds him a year later and decides to just build a gladiator ring and throw him in there to execute the people he wants dead on television.

19 years later Luke, Leia, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Padme, Cody, and Rex all get captured and are sentenced to be executed as a group with some other non-important people. Anakin eats the non-important people and vaguely recognizes some but tries to kill Luke and Leia because he doesn't recognize them.

SITS au - sith in the senate au - me trying to explore my favorite arc (mortis) and what would have happened if Anakin left with the son (and the daughter) and the father let Ahsoka and Obi-wan go thirty minutes later but Anakin is nowhere in sight when they go back to the real world. this is also the au where the Tusken massacre is really addressed in this au, in others it didn't happen, obviously in lion!vader it did since it only changes in rots. i don't know if it's really a character study that I'm doing for this au but I'm actually writing an essay on Anakin for my writing class and I'm so using elements from this for that and from that for this.

(please- someone stop me from making Barriss run away from the Jedi and Anakin adopting Barriss after she ends up on Tatooine and Anakin gets over his initial feeling of 'YOU D:<')

Anyway, Palpatine finds Anakin at like... 5 and adopts him and brings him on his path to becoming chancellor and then the clone wars start at the Naboo blockade, Palpatine started cloning **early**. no, I have no idea how old Jango Fett is, why do you ask? anakin befriends some of the clones and takes an interest in politics because he thinks he can convince then senate to stop creating clones and just recruit normal civilians to the army.

this au is inspired by Hazbin Hotel song 'you didn't know' and some brave group of clones tries to plead their case to the senate, ankin watches in on it, nala se mentions the chips in the kaminoan rebuttal of clone rights and Anakin FREAKS. palpatine tries to calm him saying 'they are to control them, they're dangerous otherwise' and basically dooms himself. also, Anakin specifically has wings. see, I subscribe to the thinking of 'Anakin can shapeshift due to his unstable DNA' Edit: I Found it! @thewildballyntynesgrow or mballyntyne on Ao3 with their series 'A Wild Thing to Tame'. Anakin leaves taking a majority of the coruscant guard with him and goes back to Tatooine and starts freeing a whole bunch of planets over the years. the meeting in the senate takes place when he is fourteen, the empire starts when he is seventeen. Anakin adopts Boba and Galen Marek. anakin and the freed outer rim either hide rebel bases or use their revolutions as distractions for the empire.

Retconned rebel Anakin Au. aka, Barriss is the same age as Anakin and befriends him and Ferus eventually befriends him, and Anakin is closer to those two and some others than Obi-wan and Ahsoka (who is Obi-wan's padawan) Barriss never bombs the temple, the empire rises but the original empire dies like a year into the reign and another emperor rises.... Emperor Obi-wan Kenobi and his daughter Ahsoka how are both overly attached to rebel leader Anakin Skywalker and are both trying to adopt him and turn him to their side... by kidnapping Anakin's family. (rexanidala). anakin adopts so many kids, most of them are force-sensitive and want to fight so he lets them reluctantly but those not young enough to choose or fight are sent to live with Rex, Padme, Luke, Leia, and their grandparents; Dooku and Plo.

Ventress and Anakin Swap au, sort of. anakin got nabbed from his mom by Dooku. Dooku never found Ventress, Obi-wan does instead. Obi does not train Ventress but they are friends forever after. ventress tries forcefully redeeming the seventeen-eighteen year old Sith lord and it only sort of works. he defects but really only after he finds out about the slavery in creating battle droids. Anakin isn't really a separatist general, he just has a specialized group of droids that he rebuilds after fights with Jedi. he never fights clones with droids.

after defecting Anakin plans with Ventress and decides to free the outer rim then take the former slaves that will join him and start up a third party to the war. inspired by 'blood oath' by the art of pleasing princes.

okay so for this next au, named Anakin Umakkar, The rain storm. sources are ADragonsFriend and @fialleril or fialleril on a03, and @clawedandcute or ClawedandCute (Adi_Fire) on a03. and songs this au is inspired by for this au is (and in order) Puppeteer, Done For, Hell is Forever, There are Other Ways, What Did I Miss? and Respectless.

Umakkar was a name I first read about in a book called 'Elder sisters' by ADragonsFriend. I first heard about Ekkreth in Fialleril's books. the concept of Anakin staying on Tatooine was inspired by ClawedandCute's book and au 'The Accidental Sith'

Anyway, Qui-gon and the queen's ship never stops on Tatooine, but the clone wars do not start early. a solid two months into the Clone Wars, it is revealed that Jabba the Hutt has been dead for a year, and Tatooine has freed itself from the huts. Senator Padme Amidala and Jedi Obi-wan Kenobi (and Padawan Ahsoka Tano) are sent to Tatooine to try to get Tatooine to align with the republic. now please listen to Puppeteer and Done For (no, Anakin does not turn any clones into pigs, just like any non-clone serving in the army ). once Obi-wan draws his lightsaber on Anakin, Anakin just swipes it away, unhurt, and has him and other... three (Cody, Padme, and Ahsoka)locked up until he decided to hear them out. (cue hell is forever, the last lines being, "the freed outer rim has found both the separatists and the republic to be the enemy" ya know due to their armies) then when it looks like Anakin is gonna do something to them to send a message to the republic, Obi-wan pleads with him and mentions the Sith Dooku mentioned and any evil smile on Anakin's face slips away into annoyance "Sidious, huh?" and in 'There are other ways' fashion tells obi-wan about Mortis and other wells in the force that might be better for the Jedi to focus at. when asked why he had that reaction to the 'Sidious' character, he implies that Sidious has reached out to him to join either side of the war, like once per side.

he sends Obi-Wan and the Clones that want to return on their way and a year later decides that enough is enough and heads to Coruscant under the pretense of negotiating. palpatine sets up a committee to welcome Tatooine to the republic only for 'respectless' to happen and Anakin starts arguing with Orn Free Taa, then Palpatine himself and once Palpatine leaves, turns to the Jedi in the room and says "yeah, you might want to look into that..." and leaves.

Detached Mortis god au: inspired by the ocean saga

switching up the timeline here, Rako Hardeen happens, the Wrong Jedi arc happens, *Then* mortis happens. Anakin is alone on Mortis, he decides to stay, Padme is pregnant, the empire rises, Padme survives and joins the rebellion, Ahsoka becomes Fulcrum. Obi-wan joins the rebellion to help train Luke and Leia. Luke, Leia, Han, Ezra and some others start on a mission, but it starts off rough. Ezra decides to pray to a Force Diety he or Ahsoka met once and the diety appears and decides to grant them safe passage to the actual start of the mission as long as they keep Ahsoka, who they meet up with later on the mission, safe. if they accept and fail, another god is going to have a really big problem with them. they accept and all goes well until the last day of the mission, everything falls apart and Ahsoka is separated from the group and captured. the gang decides they need to go back to base to think and plan. on their way back their ship is seemingly attacked but they cant tell by what, they crash land at base and get out of the ship, not the falcon, only to meet two dragon-like-creatures, and a portal opens and a very pissed Anakin steps out. he kidnaps a bunch of rebels and puts them in the world between worlds and tells them they only get their people back when Ahsoka is safe. Obi-Wan and Padme only make it to the hangar this goes down once Anakin has stepped back through the portal.

TCW Snapshots: Kitsune Ed. Zygerria

Back on my Kitsune AU bullshit and I have considered various scenes that take place during the Clone Wars - and have written tons of dialogue for - but I have some favourites. I’ve already covered Umbara and the Zillo Beast but this one covers the Zygerria Arc because oh boy would that play very differently.

Anakin cannot play the part of the slaver, not with those very visible ears and tails that mark him for what he is - supposedly the last Kitsune in the Galaxy - his price tag with be practically unnamable. Sure, he could play the slaver but there’s no way the Queen would listen to him as one, she would just see his rarity and value. Anakin would know this. He would have to be the bait. He has to face that long buried trauma again and play the role of the slave. It’s fine, he says to himself, it’s just a role. He can handle it.

There’s nothing they could use to trap him that would keep him for long.

Nobody is happy about this and everyone knows that’s gonna have consequences of the mental kind but they can’t just leave the Togruta to their fate. Plus, the only other likely alternative is the Togruta child in their midst. A Jedi’s duty is to others before themselves...

But this leaves the part of the slaver open. Ahsoka can’t do it, for the aforementioned reasons. Rex is briefly considered but ultimately decided to also not be an option because he’s not trained as a negotiator, he can’t bluff his way through this. Privately, he also doesn’t think at this point in the timeline that he would be able to just hand over his General like he were an item to barter with. The mission always comes first and all that but the guy has realised he’s in love with Skywalker for over a year now, there would be tells he could not control. But you know who can? Obi-Wan.

Obi-Wan who is Anakin’s teacher, his best friend, who is called ‘Master’ by Anakin for an entirely different reason. He realises just how much trust Anakin is placing in him to take on this role, but Anakin tells him that he refuses to call Obi-Wan ‘Master’ for the entire charade - refuses to tarnish the word he has come to accept as a term of respect - and Obi-Wan is grateful for that. It would fuck them both up once this was all over if he did.

Rex and Ahsoka are now on infiltration duty and they are the ones who get caught later to be showcased in the slave auction arena.

So you’ve got Rex and Ahsoka about to be made examples of, with Obi-Wan forced to whip them. Except, he clearly hesitates; he knows he has to do this for the ruse but this was NOT discussed as a possibility beforehand. Rex can take it, they both know this and he signals as such, but Ahsoka is a child, their padawan. Anakin consented to be put in the position he’s in for the plan, but not Ahsoka. 

Obi-Wan doesn’t get to make the choice in the end.

Anakin has had enough. It’s not pretty. Ankin is flying into a Full Kitsune mode fuelled rage right in the middle of the arena, snapping Ahsoka’s and Rex’s chains free before taking out the guards. Obi-Wan tries to reach out to him, to calm him down but the guards are closing in and now Rex is getting tasered. The lack of control, being enslaved again (just the mindset he’s put himself back into alone), and seeing the people he cares about most having to hurt each other have eaten through Anakin’s remaining calm and patience over the situation. The electro whips are doing bugger all to a Kitsune the size of an Acklay.

But then he stops. Stops in horror because the Queen has got a guard with a knife to Ahsoka’s throat in all the chaos.

Queen: If the legends are true, Kitsune were meant to be very protective of their own Queen: You clearly care for this one. I wonder, what would you be willing to do to keep her safe? Queen: If you’re good, she won’t be harmed. 

In the ensuing stand-off, Obi-Wan manages to grab Rex and high tail it out of there. There’s nothing he can do for Ahsoka or Anakin at that moment and they have a mission to finish. The risk to Anakin physically right now is very low, given he’s shown what he’s capable of, but the risk to his sanity is very high. Especially using Ahsoka as a bargaining chip. Initially, the Queen tries to put her in the cage, like she does in canon, but this causes Anakin to be less than 100% compliant given his stress (and therefore constant form changes) so the Queen gets crafty.

Queen: I am aware there’s very little I can do to you to get you to behave. I know better than to try and force your compliance like the others but that girl? You react as if she’s your cub. Queen: As a token of my good will, I will give her to you unharmed and in return you will do exactly as I say. Break this simple rule and I will kill her and should she be found to misbehave… Queen: Then the consequences will be on you.

She’s effectively got them both trapped. As long as Anakin does what she wants, Ahsoka can stay in the palace unharmed. As long as Ahsoka behaves, Anakin won’t be hurt in her stead.

It seems like a kinder gesture than the Queen is known for, but it’s only surface level. If he tries to kill the Queen or hurt her in any way, the guards will activate Ahsoka’s shock collar and kill her without hesitation. He can’t kill them all at once.

They get an additional reason to play by the rules, when Obi-Wan manages to pay them a visit in secret. He’s not best friends with a Shadow for nothing. If they can get info about where the other Togruta are being kept from the other slaves then Obi-Wan and Rex can deal with that before coming back to rescue them.

Cue Anakin being torn between obeying to the letter out of worry that Ahsoka will be hurt or taken away from him if he acts out AND wanting to rebel against authority and choose the path of Malicious Compliance just to show how unhappy he is about this entire situation. All while trying to get the info Obi-Wan needs to complete the mission - that was why he was here to begin with after all. 

The Queen can’t really pick a single thing she wants Anakin to do. Either act as her bodyguard or have him shapeshift into Smol Fox so she can have him on her lap like some exotic pet. He has to fight to not sink his claws into her legs.

Dooku eventually turns up and fucks up the Queen’s set up, thereby allowing Anakin and Ahsoka to get the co-ords to Kadavo in the ensuing chaos, which in turns allows Obi-Wan to send out a message to the Council about where the Togruta are. Master Plo goes to Kadavo and Obi-Wan and Rex blow their cover to get Anakin and Ahsoka out. With Dooku here there’s no need for subterfuge anymore. Anakin is very close to making the decision to level the entire palace on his way out but Rex manages to calm him down, pointing out that it isn’t just slavers in there. Not to mention what it would do to his psyche on top of everything else.

Anakin is just too powerful at this point, with five tails his anger could rip apart the very ground he’s stood on. He can’t afford to give in because the destruction would be too broad, there’s no control to that. But Rex? His anger is just enough to shoot someone's head clean off at over 500 yards. After all, he’s not a Jedi.

God Mode

This is the last thing i'm going to post about episode five of Ahsoka, i promise. It just kind of f*cked my whole perception of the entire franchise, all the way up. Never mind the fact that the Jedi Council was legit grooming child soldiers to send them off to the front lines of a war over f*cking tariff disputes, or the fact that Maul got absolutely bodied by a whole ass teenager, there is a fully realized Anakin Skywalker just hanging out in the World Between Worlds. I'm not talking Clone Wars Anakin who got quadriplegic'd by old man Ben, or the hulking, cyborg, menace of an attack dog for the Galactic Empire, but a full potential Anakin Skywalker. An Anakin who has mastered the Force to the point he has transcended even the ability to project as a Force Ghost. An Ankin that somehow found his way into The World Between Worlds with no maps or clues. An Anakin fully at peace with who is, who he was, and who he can be. The truest version of The Chosen One legend, given form.

The quiet feats he demonstrated during that little training session with Ahsoka, were ridiculous. This wasn't a Force Ghost because he physically fought Ahsoka with a perfectly mastered Form Five. Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker was considered one of, if not the best, Jedi Duelist in history, and even that from couldn't master Form Five. This wasn't a memory because he referenced the sh*t Luke said to him during his duel, and inevitable defeat, on the Death Star II. “I won't fight you”, Ahsoka said. “I've heard that before”, Anankin replied. This was Grand Master Anakin Skywalker and he taught Ahsoka a real lesson, forcing her evolution into Ahsoka the goddamn White. During this process, he flitted between himself and his Vader form, like it was nothing. Light and Dark at the drop of a hat but, when Vader finally clashed with Ahsoka, it was Anakin's face he wore. I'm talking full power Darth Vader, without the cybernetic handicaps. Sh*t was glorious to see. He was vicious, brutal, but controlled. The anger was there but it was focused. This was Vader perfected but used for a purpose. This Vader was truly the Sith Lord he was under that armor, but lacked the self-loathing. This Vader was more a tool used to show Ahsoka that she, too, can fall. That it was a choice. That she could overcome even the greatest evil, ever, in her mind; Her fallen master, Darth Vader. But those are just glimpses of Anakin's power. This man literally reshaped The World Between Worlds on a whim.

Anakin motherf*cking Skywalker literally warped an entire reality, just to train his Padawan one last time. He took this adult Ahsoka, and reverted her back to a teenage form. He used her memories to, not only reshape the landscape, but draw in actual people she remembered as tangible representations from that time. F*cking Rex was in the Clone Wars flashback, man, in full Clone Trooper armor. Anakin did that through sheer Force of will. Do you have any idea how f*cking powerful in the Force you have to be to do something like that? Just getting to the World Between Worlds is a feat but Anakin can shape it like clay. Not even the Father, The Daughter, and The Son could do that sh*t and Anakin was shown to be stronger than all of them when he was still just a Jedi Knight. The only other entity that i think can come close to this level of power is Abeloth from Legends and she was a f*cking problem that Grand Master Luke Skywalker barely solved. I mean, this version of Anakin Skywalker physically pulled Ahsoka into The World Between Worlds right before she crashed into that sea. That, alone, is a big ass "The f*ck?"

What does Force Entity Anakin Skywalker mean for the rest of the franchise? This thing is bound by nothing, limited by nothing. He exists at the crossroads of all time, all reality. He can shape this core existance into anything he desires and carries a wisdom that only someone who has mastered the Force fully, can even begin to understand. In canon, that's just The Father, i think. In legends, that's just Luke, if I'm not mistaken. Like, he's stronger than the f*cking Whills, man. But, as broken as Anakin has become, that presents a problem for everything which comes after this episode. The sequels, specifically.

Grand Master Anakin Skywalker is the caretaker for the Star Wars version of a Hyperbolic Time Chamber. He is some sort of extra-physical representation of true Force balance. He can physically pull anyone he wants into this Room of Spirit and Time to train them. He literally gifted Ahsoka all the knowledge he possessed, leveling up her Force abilities like they were nothing, and she was already technically stronger than Obi-Wan before that point. Even Palpatine understood that Force Potential alone, was only a part of true strength. That man spent years of his life, studying under one of the most pragmatic Sith to ever live. This version of Anakin has access to so much more of that knowledge, plus his near infinite potential with the Force. That fleeting thought, on it's own, it's just staggering. If Anakin can do that much, if he is some limitless Force God now, how does he let Poppa Paps manipulate his grandson into being just another tool? How the f*ck does Anakin Skywalker, the man who sent the entire galaxy into a murderous, imperial, dark age over the death of his wife, let his own, personal, abuser, do the exact same sh*t to his grandson? How does he not intervene with Luke during his exile? How do these narratives even work anymore now that Grand Master Anakin Skywalker, Keeper of The World Between Worlds, exists?

Human Rights

Just like in general, there are so many issues throughout the world that need to be worked on. Refugees, LGBTQIA+, Women, those with disabilities and struggle to access healthcare, POC and the indigenous and first nations people of countries. I am trying to generalise it all into one passion but I think there are just so many people not getting their human rights met, in all countries of the world. I want to try and make a difference in the world.

2. My fandoms

If you get me started talking about star wars (from the sequels ruining ankins sacrifice to just Anakin Skywalker in general to how you view him is based on aspects such as fate and destiny) , miraculous ladybug, percy jackson, the medoran chronicles, The 100, Scooby Doo (about how everyone in the scooby gang is 🏳️‍🌈) etc, I will not stop talking about it.

God Mode

This is the last thing i'm going to post about episode five of Ahsoka, i promise. It just kind of f*cked my whole perception of the entire franchise, all the way up. Never mind the fact that the Jedi Council was legit grooming child soldiers to send them off to the front lines of a war over f*cking tariff disputes, or the fact that Maul got absolutely bodied by a whole ass teenager, there is a fully realized Anakin Skywalker just hanging out in the World Between Worlds. I'm not talking Clone Wars Anakin who got quadriplegic'd by old man Ben, or the hulking, cyborg, menace of an attack dog for the Galactic Empire, but a full potential Anakin Skywalker. An Anakin who has mastered the Force to the point he has transcended even the ability to project as a Force Ghost. An Ankin that somehow found his way into The World Between Worlds with no maps or clues. An Anakin fully at peace with who is, who he was, and who he can be. The truest version of The Chosen One legend, given form.

The quiet feats he demonstrated during that little training session with Ahsoka, were ridiculous. This wasn't a Force Ghost because he physically fought Ahsoka with a perfectly mastered Form Five. Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker was considered one of, if not the best, Jedi Duelist in history, and even that from couldn't master Form Five. This wasn't a memory because he referenced the sh*t Luke said to him during his duel, and inevitable defeat, on the Death Star II. “I won't fight you”, Ahsoka said. “I've heard that before”, Anankin replied. This was Grand Master Anakin Skywalker and he taught Ahsoka a real lesson, forcing her evolution into Ahsoka the goddamn White. During this process, he flitted between himself and his Vader form, like it was nothing. Light and Dark at the drop of a hat but, when Vader finally clashed with Ahsoka, it was Anakin's face he wore. I'm talking full power Darth Vader, without the cybernetic handicaps. Sh*t was glorious to see. He was vicious, brutal, but controlled. The anger was there but it was focused. This was Vader perfected but used for a purpose. This Vader was truly the Sith Lord he was under that armor, but lacked the self-loathing. This Vader was more a tool used to show Ahsoka that she, too, can fall. That it was a choice. That she could overcome even the greatest evil, ever, in her mind; Her fallen master, Darth Vader. But those are just glimpses of Anakin's power. This man literally reshaped The World Between Worlds on a whim.

Anakin motherf*cking Skywalker literally warped an entire reality, just to train his Padawan one last time. He took this adult Ahsoka, and reverted her back to a teenage form. He used her memories to, not only reshape the landscape, but draw in actual people she remembered as tangible representations from that time. F*cking Rex was in the Clone Wars flashback, man, in full Clone Trooper armor. Anakin did that through sheer Force of will. Do you have any idea how f*cking powerful in the Force you have to be to do something like that? Just getting to the World Between Worlds is a feat but Anakin can shape it like clay. Not even the Father, The Daughter, and The Son could do that sh*t and Anakin was shown to be stronger than all of them when he was still just a Jedi Knight. The only other entity that i think can come close to this level of power is Abeloth from Legends and she was a f*cking problem that Grand Master Luke Skywalker barely solved. I mean, this version of Anakin Skywalker physically pulled Ahsoka into The World Between Worlds right before she crashed into that sea. That, alone, is a big ass "The f*ck?"

What does Force Entity Anakin Skywalker mean for the rest of the franchise? This thing is bound by nothing, limited by nothing. He exists at the crossroads of all time, all reality. He can shape this core existance into anything he desires and carries a wisdom that only someone who has mastered the Force fully, can even begin to understand. In canon, that's just The Father, i think. In legends, that's just Luke, if I'm not mistaken. Like, he's stronger than the f*cking Whills, man. But, as broken as Anakin has become, that presents a problem for everything which comes after this episode. The sequels, specifically.

Grand Master Anakin Skywalker is the caretaker for the Star Wars version of a Hyperbolic Time Chamber. He is some sort of extra-physical representation of true Force balance. He can physically pull anyone he wants into this Room of Spirit and Time to train them. He literally gifted Ahsoka all the knowledge he possessed, leveling up her Force abilities like they were nothing, and she was already technically stronger than Obi-Wan before that point. Even Palpatine understood that Force Potential alone, was only a part of true strength. That man spent years of his life, studying under one of the most pragmatic Sith to ever live. This version of Anakin has access to so much more of that knowledge, plus his near infinite potential with the Force. That fleeting thought, on it's own, it's just staggering. If Anakin can do that much, if he is some limitless Force God now, how does he let Poppa Paps manipulate his grandson into being just another tool? How the f*ck does Anakin Skywalker, the man who sent the entire galaxy into a murderous, imperial, dark age over the death of his wife, let his own, personal, abuser, do the exact same sh*t to his grandson? How does he not intervene with Luke during his exile? How do these narratives even work anymore now that Grand Master Anakin Skywalker, Keeper of The World Between Worlds, exists?

And he is evil as you can see and he's also asking for things for nothing no you see how it works he's forcing them into it and we think it was out there at the pond racing area and he was raising and going very fast and we did see why earlier today became racing by the laundromat in order to see what our son was doing now he wants to see if he could go in there very fast to sabotage the place and to escape so he went by very fast to see if anybody would pay attention he's going to try a second run and he got blocked and he went by in about 120 and on a motorcycle and it's special motorcycle and he had hard gear on and we missed it and he has a computer to calculate telemetry so we need to watch out for that

Anakin Almost Goes Sith:

Anakin jumped down and, without raising a hand, had the wolf demon in the air and dangling by his throat.

Kouga scrabbled at the thin air around his throat, eyes going wide as his air dwindled.

“You killed my brother,” Anakin snarled, eyes burning with tears and something else; there were golden flecks in his blue eyes and only Kagome knew what that meant.

She scrambled down to the two men, “Anakin! Ankin stop! You’re going Dark!”

“Stay outta this, Kagome,” Anakin hissed, seethed as his power rolled and rocked in the atmosphere around them, causing a sensation not unlike an unsteady boat as ears popped from the pressure changes.

“Anakin, InuYasha wouldn’t want you to go Sith!” she argued, starting to collect her on power to steady herself. But she was an ant compared to Anakin.

“He’s dead!” Anakin at least released Kouga, tossing him to the ground hard enough to cause a small crater.

He used the Force to hold him down.

“And if you go Sith you’ll be as good as dead,” Kagome said softly, ignoring her own heartbreak of InuYasha’s death.

She had to save his brother. She knew the movies. Anakin going Sith, even for a moment, even in revenge for a loved one, was a bad idea.

InuYasha would want him saved.

“Let him go, Anakin.” she ordered calmly, firmly.

She was a priestess; she stopped dark beings and creatures; she would stop him.

It was silent, a deafening silence that echoed, only broken by Kouga’s pained wheezing as he struggled for breath under the force of the Force.

Anakin glared at her; she calmly stared back, thanking the gods he couldn’t hear her thundering pulse.

She was trying to stare down the start of Darth Vader, after all.

Kouga gasped as the Force bore down on him, driving him deeper into the dirt, before the pressure suddenly disappeared. Then he howled in agony as the shards in his leg and arm were yanked from him roughly.

They floated over to Kagome.

“Go!” Anakin bellowed, “Leave my sight, Kouga of the Wolves! If I ever see you again I’ll wipe your tribe out!”

And Kouga was many things but he wasn’t stupid; he got up and ran away.

He had avenged his people anyways.

There was still a standoff, between Force-user and Priestess.

Their powers clashed and flashed against each other, even as they themselves stood still.

Then a voice, “Urgh…Kagome, knock it off. Yer gonna fry Shippo.”

The stalemate broke as both rushed to the waking, alive, hanyou.

“InuYasha!” everyone cried at once, the rest of the pack joining the three.

He staggered up into a sitting position, his arm hanging useless at his side, “Takes a little more than some flea-bitten wolf to kill me.”

“Hang on,” Anakin fumbled for his comm and called it in; immediately a portal opened and medical came rushing out with a stretcher.

Shippo was the one who had the forethought to grab the shards even as everyone went through the portal; he was the last one in, clutching the three shards in his hands even though one felt…wrong, even to his youkai senses.

InuYasha was bathed in the Healing Pools as several bones had been shattered and there was no time to let him heal naturally.

And Anakin went back to therapy; though he thanked and then congratulated Kagome for standing up to him and saving Kouga’s life. He knew he was a powerhouse in the Force, being, in theory, half-Force; even seasoned Jedi had trouble standing up to him with their own abilities.

Kagome had a breakdown; she had gone against Anakin Skywalker, Darth Vader, and lived to tell the tale.

The rest of the pack was treated to movie night, to explain why Kagome was having her breakdown.

Wished Away 6:

Summers Meets Summers:

Danny stepped through the portal, arms cradling a baby.

“Uncle Danny?” Dawn started.

“Dawn, this isn’t for you,” Danny assured, before looking to the assembled Scoobies, “Scoobies, meet Hope Summers—well, that’s an alias. It’s not safe for her in her dimension.”

“Wait, Summers,” Xander said slowly, eyes wide, “like X-men Summers? Mutant Summers?”

“She’s supposedly the mutant messiah,” Danny said in hushed tones, “every anti-mutant asshole’s after her. Clockwork pulled her right after her family was decimated because of those assholes. Me and Sam would take her on but we’ve already got Anakin.”

“We’ll pass her off as a cousin,” Buffy declared after a quick silent conversation with Spike, “family problems. Me and Dawn are her only other family. Xander, we need your comic knowledge. Giles, Anya, Willow, Tara, your magic knowhow. Danny—Your Majesty—”

“I’ll be point of contact for her dimension, and I’ll fund her stay here,” Danny interjected.

Another portal opened and a stream of ghosts came flowing out; they were carting baby gear.

Danny smiled widely at everyone’s shock, “We weren’t just gonna hand you a baby and run. Everything you need, you just need to buy the formula, diapers, and such. Come here, Buffy.”

Buffy took Hope carefully; she had held babies before, mostly Phantom children, but never one so…young.

Then she blanched, “Holy hell, Spike! We have a kid now!”

The vampire went bone white.

“Congrats,” Danny said, grinning widely and with too many teeth to pass as human.

“You’re sure you cannot rear her yourself?” Giles asked.

Danny shook his head, “No, we have…Anakin might be subject to a Prophecy about being the Chosen One, Harry and Nev have a prophecy about either one being a Chosen One, Adrien is a Chosen One…in fact, only Damian doesn’t have some prophecy attached. That we know of. Even Dawn was gonna end the world. Plus Hope’s gonna be powerful; I don’t know how powerful but she will be powerful. We can’t risk her being ecto-contaminated either.”

“Damn,” Xander muttered.

“We’d take her in,” Danny assured, “if we could; but we really can’t.”

“What if the placement falls through?” Anya asked.

“Then we ask Damian’s bio-father to either take her or help place her in his dimension. If he can’t help, either the Potters or Longbottoms take her, if not them then the Fenton-Chengs, my eldest son and his wife. You’re our first choice but not last resort. You were chosen because we hope the Hellmouth will help hide her. Pass her off as demon-touched or something once her powers start coming in. We hope there’s enough of a…a gulf between the two dimensions that nothing from hers can come after her.”

“We’ll take care of her.” Buffy promised.

Firmus Piett in many universes

Firmus Piett is a man who earned Vader’s respect, however, in many universes (hi fanfics) Anakin never becomes Vader, so I needed to help Piett find his stress inducing leader in other ways.

- In one universe, he’s barely a lieutenant when assigned to assist Jedi General Skywalker on a mission. Through a great deal more screaming, death defying stunts, and accomplishing more in one day than Piett ever thought was possible, he found returning to his regular post a tad dull. General Skywalker and 501st were quite inspiring, if rather stressful. He can’t help it, he puts in a transfer request and after a rather, odd, comm call from Admiral Yularen who seemed to be worried about his mental health. Piett’s transfer is approved. When Skywalker see’s him on the bridge he looks confused for a minute, then grins. “Couldn’t stay away from us huh?” Piett nods, a bit stiffly, still not used to Skywalkers informality. “I wouldn’t be anywhere else sir.”

- In another universe, Piett is a Captain and his small squadrons’ duty is to keep his area of space cleared of pirates, smugglers, and slavers. He is an odd duck in that he actually clears them out instead of accepting bribes. All but one, pirate may be the technical term for Anakin Skywalker, but as he only ever attacks slaving vessels and his only smuggled cargo is escaped slaves, Piett never feels terribly upset when Skywalker’s ships evade him. It’s possible he also may not have tried that hard, or has potentially even given aide or information to him.

It isn’t until the Tatooinian revolutionary is captured, by a rather nasty officer of Piett’s acquaintance that things become dangerous. It’s a bit of a blur but Piett knows he chose to abandon his post to go rescue the man, teaming up with some of Skywalker’s pirate team. When at last they are back aboard Ekrreth’s Wings (Skywalkers flagship as it were) Piett knows his military career is over. However the other are smiling at him and thanking him for his help and when Skywalker claps him on the shoulder and welcomes him aboard, Piett feels like he’s in the right spot.
