Record of the destruction in northern Gaza after the Israeli army allowed thousands of Palestinians to cross, demanding their right of return. Despite some humanitarian aid, aid is arriving in dribs and drabs given the urgent need for absolutely everything for more than one and a half million people in the Strip. Anas Anesh, a Palestinian medical student in Venezuela trapped in Gaza since October 7, shows how the main avenue has been turned into rubble and debris after Israeli bombing.
It is essential to maintain the demand for a ceasefire in Gaza, and to hold solidarity demonstrations with the Palestinian people, as in all of Palestine, as harassment, provocations, and attacks by settlers and Israeli soldiers in the West Bank are increasing.

Dr. Anesh Jain - Normal blood cholesterol levels
Maintaining healthy blood cholesterol levels is crucial for heart health. As a cardiologist in Pune, I often come across patients who have questions about what constitutes normal cholesterol levels. In this blog, I will provide you with valuable information to help you understand and manage your cholesterol levels effectively.
Understanding Cholesterol: Cholesterol is a waxy, fat-like substance that is present in your blood. It comes from the food you eat and is also produced by your liver. Cholesterol is essential for building cell membranes and producing hormones. However, having high levels of cholesterol can increase your risk of heart disease.
Normal Cholesterol Levels: To assess your cholesterol levels, your doctor will measure three primary components:
Triglycerides, another type of fat in your blood, also play a role in heart health. A normal triglyceride level is typically below 150 mg/dL.
Managing Cholesterol Levels: To maintain healthy cholesterol levels, consider the following:
Being aware of your cholesterol levels is essential for heart health. I encourage you to schedule regular check-ups with your healthcare provider to monitor your cholesterol and take steps to keep it within the recommended range. By doing so, you can significantly reduce your risk of heart disease and enjoy a healthier, longer life.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY
Me
My name is Ashly Anesh Ramos. 18 years old, living in blk 13 lot 8 ks15 Lancaster new city, my province is Maguindanao. I have many passions such as dancing, singing and others. the favorite thing to do is to eat and eat. my favorite color is gray and my favorite actor is mario murer because he's handsome and he's good at acting in whatever movies he does. my favorite singer is Sharon Cuneta because she is the so-called mega star of our country and she is also my inspiration. I want to be like her one day.
When I was young I wanted to learn to sing because my sister didn't notice me. My cousin is the one he always teaches because he is smarter and wiser. I'm so shy that I can't say what I want. all I do is borrow my dad's cell phone and listen to music and follow along until I learn it and this is where I got used to music. I used to pray that I would become a full-fledged singer one day. but now I'm losing hope but I promise I will fulfill my wish in the name of our father god you will take care of me and my dream.

The Silver Scale Pack continues clearing out Perfection of the graboid invasion. @gher-bear @aradow @telurin @epimetalaâ
â
On this day, the Silver Scale Pack continues clearing Perfection of its graboid invasion, abusing pots and making Ixaylâanu dance for attention. Through the power of teamwork and a bomb we kill quite a bit. I think the Anesh government owes us at least $40,000 for the big ones, and we oughta charge for all those little ones too! Also, we got ourselves a live one (shrieker). We should get at least $50 gâs for that, even if it isnât a full-sized worm! (Tremors 2 nod where the Mexican gov offers characters $10k per worm, $50k if they catch a live one) They sure did a number on all the buildings in town though, lemme tell ya, 3 rotting graboid corpses and over a dozen shrieker bodies...Perfection stinks yâall!
(An Uneasy Short Rest) Ranaâs perception check shows the camels arenât entirely happily in their stall, but theyâre safe.
Rana tries to jump across to Phiâs building, rolls 8, Phi tries to grab her, rolls a 9 they both fall and take one point of damage each.
Tarma-Diem drops the rope again for them to climb up on their building.
Phi manages to get up the rope, Rana gets halfway up, but slides back down, we help her finish climbing up the 2nd time.
Tarma-Diem rolls up the rope again and sticks it back in their pack.
We try to rest up as much as we can, hoping the worms leave the camels alone.
We hear a rumble in the distance. Everybody but Ixaylâanu sees the big building on the other side of town (southwest) shaking and lifting off its foundation.
Phi checks in to see how hurt we all are.
Rana: aside from you falling on me Iâm fine.
Tarma-Diem: Not even a scratch left, out of big spells though.
We spend a few minutes watching the big Southwest building roiling, visible cracks starting in the structure. Then it stops and we think maybe we can relax now, except it starts rumbling under a closer building and it moves from one building to the next, getting closer. Rana is back on her feet as we discuss whether we want to try and rest or keep going.
As soon as Rana moves the rumbling stops then our building starts to lift up near where Rana is.
Tarma-Diem: Shouldâve been quieter.
Ixaylâanu tries divine sense. Nothing pings.
We spend the next half hour or so sitting still and we get a very uneasy short rest out of it.
They harass our camels some too, stress them out, but they donât get eaten (stone block cracks too).
Rana looks around for something loose on the roof and finds clay pots and an umbrella. She Zeldas a clay pot off the roof once she gets the all clear from the rest of us.
It gets about 10 feet away and gets sucked down, pot 2 same thing happens, this time she sees the barest shape of one of the noses of a big creature. She hands the last pot to Ixaylâanu who throws it in pretty much the same spot. Pumpkin sized pots.
Tarma-Diem: What was part 2 of this plan exactly?
Rana: I donât know do you have any ideas?
Poison in a Genofeva pot?
Rana is gonna try to hit one with lightning bolt as soon as we see movement after tossing the umbrella, but nothing happens.
Tarma-Diem: Lee did say they learn...maybe it learned nothingâs there?
Phi: I wanna jump to the other roof, see if thereâs more pots. Phi makes it with a 21, Rana sees the ground moving toward that building, but no emergence. Tarma-Diem is already paying attention to Phi instead and would have missed the opportunity to attack anyway.
Phiâs new roof has a half dead plant, a rug, weird odds and ends, no clay pots, a stool, a little table. Phi throws the potted plant (7). The plant stays, but Phi has to make a dex saving throw, she easily manages to keep her feet as the building pushes up 2 or 3 feet at that corner.
Rana sees the nose and casts lightning bolt. It takes the full 32 damage.
Tarma-Diem was too busy being impressed by Phiâs building surf acrobatics to remember to hit the worm too. The building drops as the creature burrows deep under ground after screaming. It very quickly zooms off Northeast. We talk plans, Phi offers to run around playing bait because she can shoot at the same time, Tarma-Diem says at that, they can do it instead and misty escape back to a roof or cast hellish rebuke the moment they get hurt.
In the end, we send our tank down, who can also misty step to safety. Ixaylâanu casts shield of faith on herself, Rana casts guidance on her, Ixaylâanu gets off the roof while we all hold actions for the first one to appear. (Combat Commences)
Rana feels a tremor under her feet, a snake thing pops up at Ixaylâanuâs feet and hooks her.
Ixaylâanu misses, rana misses, phi misses. We werenât expecting the tiny tongue. Tarma-Diem hits with the last crackle of eldritch blast for 7dmg.
The graboid tongue tenses around Ixaylâanu tighter after the eldritch blast.Â
Rana thorn whips it for 6 damage.Â
Ixaylâanu is still grappled, she tries to hit it rather than breaking free, she misses. 2nd attack does 6 dmg though. It lets go and snakes back into the ground.
Ixaylâanu stays there watching the ground.
Phi: Where ya goin fucker?! *holds her action for if it pops back up*
Worm pops up with an open maw directly under Ixaylâanu to swallow her whole. Hits with a 22 for 22 dmg all around her.
She fails her saving throw.
Tarma-Diem: Shit!
Phi shoots for 38 total damage.
It screams in pain as Phi gets it right in the soft tissues of the mouth.
Tarma-Diem shoots an eldritch blast for 15dmg.
Rana casts healing word level 2 on Ixaylâanu for 9 pts with her bonus action, thorn whips it but it skitters across the heavy armor of the head.
Ixaylâanu lashes out with her weapons and 14 dmg, and another 8dmg - 22 total. She stabs down cackling and making lightning sound effects as she kills it.
Ixaylâanu feels it go limp under and around her.
Phi does a 360 perception check of 18. She doesnât see anything but she does notice that all the little guys we killed earlier are gone. She doesnât say anything out loud.
Ixaylâanu climbs out of the mouth and moves away, we all hold actions for a very tense moment but nothing happens.
Ixaylâanu walks around trying to tempt one out, but she is covered in yucky smelling saliva slime that is getting all the sand stuck to her.
Eventually a snake thing pops up but misses her.
By then Tarma-Diem has forgotten theyâre supposed to be holding an eldritch blast, Rana misses with her rock, Phi hits it with a 13 and it pops back down into the ground.
Tarma-Diem: Damn it, I forgot toâŠ
Rana: Keep dancing!
Ixaylâanu: Keep dancing? Dancing?! Thatâs what you think Iâm doing down here?
Ixaylâanu jumps up and down some more.
Phiâs building begins shaking and moving again but she surfs the building with a nat 20, the whole inner portion of her roof is caving in.
Phi tries to jump onto our building and Rana catches her.
As the building collapses, 5 of the little guys boil out of that building and scream, but theyâre just looking around at the rubble.
Rana casts Erupting Earth under them. Does 11dmg on success, 5 on fail - red fails, blue succeeds, green succeeds, purple crit succeeds: Rana: So there are more of these things!
Ixaylâanu: They came from the building?
Rana: Yes, keep dancing!
Tarma-Diem does 12dmg to purple with an eldritch blast.
Phi shoots and misses.
Tarma-Diem gets off 2 more eldritch blasts, one crits, 21 total damage.
One lifts its flaps and sees us - Tarma-Diem quickly puts their hands over their ears, they remember this shit, we all save, Tarma-Diem rolled a nat 20, didnât even need advantage.
Shriekers run after us to do a little pyramid. Purple launches himself up the top and takes a bite out of Phi for 8dmg.
She uses her reaction to uncanny dodge, only takes 4dmg.
Blue is a little short still and canât quite get up there.
Ixaylâanu runs over and stabs at green, seeing if she can destabilize the pyramid. Does max dmg (15). Blue manages to hop onto red and down. Ixaylâanu misses her 2nd attack.
She still has 4 minutes on shield of faith.
Phi ignores purple assuming weâll handle it and shoots blue for 4 damage.
Rana shoolilas purple for 4dmg.
Tarma-Diem dbl crits purple for 29 total dmg, it dies.
Green screams at Ixaylâanu, who goes deaf for a whole minute.
Red pushes past green and misses Ixaylâanu, blue pushes green to the back and almost hits Ixyalâanu but misses.
Ixaylâanu flails at and misses blue with both attacks. She screams back at them.
Phi shoots at blue for 19dmg, gets it right in the front, it stumbles back and shakes a little bit.
Rana shoves purple off the roof onto green and deals 1 dmg and it gets pushed back into shifting dirt area. She steps up to the edge and gets a wonderful view of a worm spy-hopping up and eating green before going back down with it. - perception of 19 doesnât see anything extra.
Tarma-Diem hits red with an eldritch blast for 8dmg.
Both attack Ixaylâanu and both fail. They get in each otherâs way.
Ixaylâanu deals 13dmg to blue.
Phi shoots at red and deals 20dmg. Theyâre looking equally rough.
Rana holds a thorn whip for any giant worm action.
Ixaylâanu makes her dex saving throw as giant worm misses her coming up out of the ground. It nonetheless hits her for 22 and deals 6dmg (-6 temp hp). It goes back down, but Ranaâs thorn whip still goes off, but misses.
Ixaylâanu misses her attack of opportunity as well.
The structure of our building is starting to collapse.
Tarma-Diem splits an eldritch blast dealing 12dmg to blue, 4dmg to red.
Blue shrieks at red and they try to disengage.
Ixaylâanu misses her attack of opportunity against blue.
They get out into the central road.
Ixaylâanu ignores Ranaâs no-no-no arm waving and runs out into disturbed earth. She swings at blue twice and misses.
Phi tries to jump to the roof to still see these guys, 22 acrobatics and shoots at blue. Bonus action hides but in a way to look in both directions.
Rana holds another thorn whip for the next time the big worm appears. Perception check 11, focused on where Ixaylâanuâs area, but she nonetheless notices when the snakes pop up near purpleâs body. Unfortunately her thorn whip misses. Rana: âWorm still in the area!â
Inspired by Phiâs acrobatics, Tarma-Diem tries to jump roofs as well to keep the shriekers in sight. They try to jump to the next building, roll a 3 (They are the cat gif of judging their jump so carefully only to fail spectacularly). They cast fly before they hit the ground though and float over to the next building, They did it! They hover over the roof. 10 minutes of fly.
Ixaylâanu chases the runners into the building under Phi and Tarma-Diem. Thereâs a whole pack in there though. 6 of them total. She tries to lightning breath them all, can only get 3 though. Blue dies, the others look pretty good. Ixaylâanu: âFound some more!â
Phi just waits, holding an action for any of them that leave the building.
Rana tries to jump to the next building with us with a 7 and goes cougar to climb back up to the roof, prowls up beside Tarma-Diem.
Tarma-Diem flies down but canât see over Ixaylâanu, so they move forward to open the window, fly back as shriekers inside look their way. Pink and yellow try to climb out of the window at the same time but get in each othersâ way.
Yellow wiggles out. Pink is primed to go next.
Others missed Ixaylâanu.Â
Ixaylâanu attacks orange and does 7dmg.
Phi shoots at yellow and does 7dmg.
Rana pounces yellow and knocks it prone. Bonus action bites, but misses.
As Rana scuffles with yellow, a graboid tongue grapples her.
Tarma-Diem flies in, puts their arms around Rana-kitty âJust me,â then thundersteps them both to the building on the other side of the road. Worm, yellow and pink all fail their saves and take 31 damage each. Thereâs a shriek and the worms go limp, worm dies. Orange and green try to get out of the door making str attacks against Ixaylâanu. She manages to keep orange back, but green gets out and manages to shove her prone. Green keeps going west into the building we will eventually designate as âthe clown car building.â
Red attacks Ixaylâanu with advantage. 8dmg. Pink gets out of the window, looks around and then ducks into the first building we stood on. Yellow took an action to stand and ran with green.
Ixaylâanu stabs at red for 6dmg misses 2nd attack.
Phi shoots at red and misses, then moves back up to raised platform on the roof.
Rana pounces red from above, deals 3dmg claw, misses bite. She then runs off to see if she can lure pink back out.
Tarm-Diem flies over with Rana and sees 2 more in there with pink, shoots pink with eldritch boss: âGot 3 in hereâ, then flies up a little higher, farther off the ground.
Red misses, orange misses attacks on Ixaylâanu.
Pink gives a rallying cry and all 3 try to attack Rana. Pink misses, orange-red hits (12dmg), blue crits (17dmg to Rana after she loses cat). Total 29.
Ixaylâanu hits red for 6dmg, then misses next attack.
Phi shoots pink for 14dmg.
Rana casts spike growth with a 20ft radius/40ft diameter, placed to hit the 3 in front of her without hitting Ixaylâanu. Bonus action healing word L1 on herself and use item for extra healing. 22 healing and stands the line.
Tarma-Diem sees Rana cast this and flies as far into the circle area as they can get while still being visible to blue and pink, then eldritch blasts them both, they hit blue for 6dmg, miss pink.
Successfully distracted, they both charge me and take 20 dmg each on the way there, snap at my heels at disadvantage and both miss.
Tarma-Diem laughs and flips them off.
Red-orange does something I missed.
Ixaylâanu kills red by chopping his head off, spilling more gunk everywhere. She swipes at orange nat 20, deals 21dmg, divine smites it for 8 dmg (29 total). She stays there trying to block the doorway still.
Phi shoots blue and deals 18dmg.
Rana shelolas orange-red but misses. This particular shrieker has apparently changed its name henceforth in my notes. Iâm pretty sure itâs the same one who used to known as Red-orange. Same colours, but different order, please donât dead name it.
Tarma-Diem flies back toward Rana to bait more travel through the spike growth. Blue gets hit for 5dmg on eldritch blast, 2nd blast hits orange-red for 11dmg.
Pink kills itself on spike damage. Blue runs for me, 8dmg, but misses.
Orange-red is pretty focused on Rana though, it misses her (be its valentine?).
Ixaylâanu takes 14dmg from orange. She heals herself by 16.
Phi shoots at blue, does 20dmg, it dies.
Rana shilalos orange-red but misses.
Tarma-Diem eldritch blasts orange-red for 10dmg.
Ixaylâanu can hear again!
Orange-red takes 14dmg getting to Tarma-Diem but also crits at disadvantage. Oh no! Tarma-Diem takes 11dmg and gets pulled down a foot or two before it lets go. Tarma-Diem: âAh, shit!â
Ixaylâanu hits orange for 12dmg.
Phi hits orange-red for 24dmg, leaving it on deathâs door.
Rana thorn whips orange-red back to her 6dmg it dies dragged across spikes. (Oops, Tarma-Diem face pulls a shitload more)
Tarma-Diem flies over to where they saw green and yellow go earlier (clown car building is about to get named thusly), but there are now 10 of them in there. âHoly shit guys, thereâs ten of them in here!â The shriekers had their flaps up and see Tarma-Diem, who makes sure they see them move away from the group before flying 20 feet down the road away from everyone, and then up 10 feet.
They pyramid purple up to Tarma-Diem who hits for 7dmg.
Tarma-Diem misty escapes 30 feet north and 5 more feet up, invisible, but still heat signatured.
The last two from the clown car building spotted Rana first and headed for her. One of them gets Rana for 11dmg.
Ixaylâanu runs after these new two, leaving orange who misses its attack of opportunity, but then misty steps onto the building near my pyramid and throws alchemist fire into the pile.
It does max dmg (4), pink hit, yellow hit, red hit, redpurple hit, blue hit, redblue hit, redpink miss, purple missed.
Phi bonus action hides, shoots at purple and does 21dmg.
Rana sheleileis greenred for 8dmg and tries to get her back against a wall.
Tarma-Diem flies over between North buildings (in spike growth area) and down to hover 6 ft off the groud again until they see the ones on Rana between the two street-side buildings. They cast eldritch blast âOver here again fuckers!â They hit green with 10dmg, but miss greenred, who ignores the bait.Â
Green takes 32dmg getting to me, misses itâs jump attack.
Greenred does 5dmg to Rana.
Orange runs up to Rana as well, but misses.
Everybody in the fire pile takes 11dmg each biting and flailing at each other.
Ixaylâanu jumps off the roof and runs to Rana (19 athletics), and casts warding bond on Rana. Rana gets +1AC and saving throws and resistance to all damage, Ixaylâanu takes the same amount of dmg as Rana now.
Phi shoots at redgreen but misses.
Rana shelalas orange but misses.
Tarma-Diem flies about 20 feet closer to Ixaylâanu and 1 ft up, kills green with 6pt eldritch blast, hits greenred for 8pts, still hovered over the spike growth.
Purple and pinkred run and bite at Ixaylâanu. Orange misses Rana, redgreen misses Ixaylâanu, redpink hits Ixaylâanu though for 5dmg, purple also hits her for another 11dmg (16 total).
Fire dmg on remaining group deals another max dmg of 4, and then they deal another 10dmg to each other.
Ixaylâanu to Rana: Wanna get out of here?
Rana reaches out: Yes please.
Ixaylâanu misty steps them both to the nearest rooftop, then pile drives back down onto redgreen (20 athletics, cool flip and everything), 14dmg, then 11dmg. For a fantastic looking 25 total.
Phi shoots redgreen for 27, killing it right out from under Ixie.
Rana magic stones orange for 8dmg, itâs on deathâs door.
Tarma-Diem lands on a building at the very corner in view for last turn of fly (except it wasnât because I canât math), eldritch blasts purple for 5dmg, pinkred for 6dmg.
Purple takes the bait, but only goes 5ft in, takes 5dmg, backs back out.
Redpink attacks Ixaylâanu but I missed what happened with the attack.
Big group takes another max fire dmg (4pts), yellow dies.
Ixaylâanu slaps a 20pt heal on her chest.
Phi shoots at pinkred but misses.
Rana casts healing word 2nd level on Ixaylâanu for 9pts. Then magic stones orange, does 3dmg, kills orange.
Purple takes 3 eldritch blast dmg, redpink takes 12 dmg, but still focuses on Ixiaylâanu anyway, misses, purple backs up anyway, does not like getting hit in the face.
Fire group only takes 1dmg this time around. In the commotion the on fire group moves a little closer to center of the road. The ground around them shudders and a giant worm comes up out of the ground, chomps down on bluered, and sucks it back down. Worm is gone, leaving a big hole.
Ixaylâanu: Oh shit *stabs at purple still anyway* 9dmg, then another 7dmg (16 total)
Ixaylâanu: Diem! Can you throw a rope?
Phi misses redpink.
Rana thorn whips redpink for 6dmg, 4 pts of smash-fall dmg. (10 total)
Tarma-Diem pulls out the rope and commands it to tie off for Ixaylâanu. âK, itâs up!â
On-fire group takes 3 more fire dmg (there are only 4 of them left). They scatter in different directions still on fire.
Redpink notices the glorious heat-source of redpurple and attacks it, leaving it close to death.
Purple misses Ixaylâanu.
Big guy is not visible this turn.
Ixaylâanu swipes at purple and deals a total of 16 dmg, kills purple, gets 8 temporary hp, and runs over to the rope
Redpink gets an attack of opportunity on her and does 17dmg.
Ixaylâanu grabs the rope just after Rana panic-drops the spike growth to avoid hurting her.
Phi shoots at one of them and misses.
Rana magic stones redpink and does 6dmg.
Tarma-Diem eldritch blasts the farthest runner for 21 total dmg and finishes it off. The other two however use their whole action to go 120ft and get out of everyoneâs range for future turns.
All runners take 1 fire dmg before calculations on them stop.
Remaining 2 shriekers miss their attacks.
Ixaylâanu climbs up to the roof.
Phi shoots at one and misses.
Rana thorn whips redpink for 5dmg + 5 slam-fall dmg (10 total).
Tarma-Diem deals 14 eldritch blast dmg to redpink
2 fire dmg kills redpurple.
Redpink jumps at Ixaylâanu futilely.
Ixaylâanu throws her javelin at redpink and misses, 2nd one hits for 4dmg and kills him. (Aftermath Investigations and RP)
Tarma-Diem: Still got 2 who ran off into the desert, a giant worm, and whatever else may be in these buildings.
Ixaylâanu: did you see the worm?
Tarma-Diem: Yeah, we got that to deal with and those two ran off capable of reproducing a shitload more.
Rana does a perception check (12).Â
Tarma-Diem slumps down with their back against the lip of the roof.
Ixaylâanu crit-perceives the guys running, still on fire, and also saw a bush raise and lower on the ground in the distance.
Tarma-Diem gets a nat 20 perceiving those guys to fly after them but they are specs in the distance. They also see the bush go up and down, but it doesnât seem to be chasing the little guys.
Tarma-Diemâs perception skills are tapped out now though and they do a whopping ZERO for aerial search of the entire area
Tarma-Diem looks in each building after, ready to fly off and lead them out of town, but doesnât see anything. We take a short rest. After we discuss plans, we take a look around. Phi sees a small fire in the distance, but we donât really see anything else. After the short rest, we take a closer, group look at each building.
Tarma-Diem gets a nat 20 investigation on the first building theyâd checked alone while flying. These people were very well prepared, and even though things fell off walls they could still tell these people were pretty well off. Tarma-Diem finds a box marked explosives.
Phi checks box of explosives for traps (18). There is a very complicated lock on it but no other forms of trap. Phi attempts the lock (22), takes her a minute or two but it pops open. Inside is a bunch of c4 sticks - 5 of them. Plastic explosives can be placed as an action, and detonated with a press of a remote detonator (an object interaction). Plastic explosives also explode on their own if they are caught within the radius of an explosion that does at least 10 points of bludgeoning damage. Each creature within 20 feet of a detonated plastic explosive must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw, taking 10d6 bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Each additional block of explosives increases the damage by 5d6 (to a maximum of 40d6), and the radius by 10 feet (to a maximum of 80 feet).
We each get 1 brick, Phi gets 2. Rana makes sure the building stays as closed up as we can get it, all windows and doors closed, so that it will hopefully remain empty as we proceed, leaving nowhere for anything to hide when we try to sleep later. This is her plan at each, subsequent building and we all follow suit.
We back up and start with the very first building in town, on the left when weâd first arrived.
Rana gets a perception of 17 on building A while Tarma-Diem investigates with an 8. Itâs a transient guardhouse of some sort with basic swords and arrows.
We cross the street to B, Rana perceives it with a 21 - big hole in the center, blood on the walls, broken and open food stuff.
With an investigation of 8, Tarma-Diem gets a snack of their choice! (twinkies lol)
Outside the next building, the ground around the dead worm just below the surface has turned soggy, like standing on a mattress.
Since we already took care of building C (hopping back and forth across the road alphabetically, left then right lol), we move on to building D (on the same side as B/the market we first roof-climbed.
Rana perceives at a 16, Tarma-Diem investigates with a 13 -Â sticks of furniture, scrap of clothing that mightâve been a shirt, and blood.
Tarma-Diem reminds everyone about the building behind this one and how it was difficult to see inside around the crates when they did their aerial search.
For recording purposes, I am calling it building E. This time around Tarma-Diem gets an 18 investigation and sees a moving 2-by-2 crate near the back. Tarma-Diem: (whispered) Shit! They make motions to back everyone out. Tarma-Diem: Thereâs one in a crate back there, a little one (they make approximating gesture of box size)
Ixaylanu goes back in first and tips the box up to see a little baby white one who screams at her but he canât get out and the scream does nothing.
Ixaylanu squats a little and does the bird head tilt thing. It screams fiercely and tries to jump out but canât make it.
Ixyalâanu: "It's all white..."
One of us (Tarma-Diem maybe since I didnât label speaker?): Maybe we could nail the crate shut or something? Would let people study it?
Ixaylâanu throws a small ration at it.
It feels around with its tongue and eventually eats it.
When next it lifts its flaps, it doesnât scream, when she puts her hand close though it does scream and tries to bite her. Dex save 22/nat 20, sheâs fine, it snaps at empty air.
Tarma-Diem: Can you try and talk to it?
Ixaylâanu: I doubt itâs going to work butâŠ*she casts it anyway*
It doesnât work.
Ixaylâanu figures out the heat sensing thing by fluffing her feathers and noting that it doesnât react to anything but her actual body heat.
Someone: It's been in here with food for awhile and there's no others...
Someone else: Yeah but it's had an hour to make more if it's going to
Rana leaves while we talk about it to look around outside before we move on. Perception 21 on our surroundings - the fire is still up pretty far from town, town is otherwise quiet.
Ixaylâanu and Tarma-Diem put the lid back on the crate, keeping the small guy in a box with some food. Ixaylâanu hefts it up on her shoulder and goes outside. It screams and kicks around for the first few minutes every time itâs jostled before it finally settles down like âGuess this is my life now.â
Rana 19 perceives the next building is about to collapse and stops Diem from going inside.
Rana perceives the next building with an 8, Diem goes in and investigates with 15. Nothingâs really damaged, so probably nothing even got in here, just evidence that people packed and left in a hurry.
Rana perceives (16) next building. 16 investigation for Tarma-Diem as well - they see a lot of nice towels in this bath house, they take one. Itâs fluffy and soft (one should always bring a towel, rules of adventure and all that).
Rana skips the clown car building for the biggest building. Thereâs a giant worm in the middle of the building part that we could smell long before we see it.
Tarma-Diem, meanwhile, still investigates clown car building with a 16 - scorch marks inside, wrecked, food stuffs, some dead little ones inside, they close it up like Rana did with the other ones, then join everyone else at the big building.
Rana goes in, the rest of us follow. Phi finds half of a medicine kit. Phi 19s investigation
Rana perceives 17 on last plaza building - nothing in there. 2 investigation from Tarma-Diem.
Rana looks out toward a small building on the fringe of the village.
Tarma-Diem: That one was closed up tight and empty when I checked earlier.
Rana goes to have a look anyway - 14 perception (told ya ~).
Ixaylâanu gets her platinum ring back from Rana.
Rana begins making a shrieker corpse pile in the middle of the road, including the few from the clown car building. The rest of us begin helping.
Tarma-Diem hits everyone with prestidigitation again after we complete the corpse pile
We argue a bit about rooftops vs. the comfort of the tiny hut which cannot fit on them, but certainly has a bottom. Tarma-Diem and Ixaylâanu opt for comfort, while Rana and Phi opt for better vantage points and safety. We split shifts accordingly (1 rooftopper, 1 tinyhutter/1 dark vision, 1 not).
Tarma-Diem casts tiny hut in a 10 ft radius around them, within sight of the corpse pile but not so close the smell permeates the dome. They also take first watch in order to finish scribing alarm. Self-imposed concentration check only a 6, so it takes them two hours instead of just one to finish scribing the alarm spell.
They let everyone know they can cast perimeter alarms now, then ritual cast it on the inside of the hut, choosing the bell ping so everyone can hear it if the hut gets disturbed by giant worms.
Next session Thursday Feb 11 at 5pm est.

He's not staring... Okay. He's staring. BUT, in his defense, the other teen is putting up quite the statement with that outfit and the whole- vibe he gives off. One can hardly blame Shiro for skidding to a halt. Nor for continuing to look, eyes focused with a shameless-curiosity mirrored in the slight tilt of his head, sucking on his iced coffee maybe a bit too loudly than someone in his position should be. But Shiro has never been one for smart social decisions.... nor social decisions at all, until coming to UA. Hence... the open studying of what he can only describe asâ as his teacher and honorary dad might be pleased to hear him put it â'hella Edgy to the Max'. - ( Have.... a bab dfjkgnjkdgng )
God damn it. Anesh's first day at a new school in a new country and he can already feel people's eyes on him. Probably just in a "who's the new kid" way, or maybe in a "huh, he doesn't look like he's from around here" way, and not the ways he's used to, but still.
Should he have dressed up for his first day? He didn't really have the option, considering that this is the only pair of pants he's got, and he doesn't feel like himself without the hoodie-under-band-tee combo. He does feel different, though. Everyone else is in uniform. Was Anesh supposed to order one of those, or did they just forget him?
It doesn't help that he's tall and dark and curly and just very not Japanese. Maybe he should have stayed in India. Maybe he should calm the fuck down and just talk to people before assuming they hate him for being different.
He glances around, trying to balance himself somewhere that's neither intimidating nor obviously nervous, and catches the eye of the kid who's staring. Shit. He can't be older than a first year, and he's all dressed up in pretty little pastels with pink cheeks and soft blonde hair and eyes that are too wide and too blue. He looks like he's either the sweetest little baby boy alive or a total brat who's never had to work a day in his life. Maybe both. Anesh feels something in his chest when he looks at this boy, but he has no idea what it is. Just... a reaction.
Well. No point in just staring at each other. Anesh walks over to the boy and holds his hand out. Do they shake hands in Japan? Shit, he should have done more research. Too late to back out now, though.
"Anesh Malhotra. First year. Foreign exchange. I am still working on my Japanese." He stumbles through the introduction, hoping he said it right. Those are all phrases he's practiced, but never with a native speaker.
"I am pleased to meet you. Perhaps we will be classmates or friends."

"Don't make a big deal out of it, okay? But I got you this hoodie. Because it is pink and yellow, and I know you like colours like that. And I wore it to bed for a week and then washed it with my detergent, so it should feel like you stole it from me." Anesh for Shiro!
- Â â© Â ă Â @peachpitocs ââ Â ă Â â©
ă â ă  Shiro never thought that heâd be able to find himself a boyfriend. Let alone one who is hot in an edgy way, with a deceptively-sweet centerâ granted, Shiro had to break through a grumpy exterior to reach it, but thereâs something gratifying about that âand a tolerance for bullshit that is both worrisome and yet a major relief when it comes to the antics of a certain pastel pretty boy. Antics that, against all logic, Shiro doesnât reign in even after the miracle of having Anesh like him back. Fortune had smiled upon the lonely teen and part of him is still afraid that lady luckâs playing a cruel joke. Waiting for just the right moment to pull the rug out from underneath him and laugh as he tumbled down into a broken, dirty heap. One even Shiro canât manage to clean.
Butâ Anesh had somehow fallen for him when he was being an insufferable dork. A true scourge upon his family name. Nothing like the silent, timid, obedient doll he used to masquerade as. So obviously Shiro must be doing SOMETHING right⊠No point in fixing whatâs not broken. Or in this case, fixing something thatâs finally been allowed to break. Cracks on display across Shiroâs surface, traced and adored and accepted by the boy holding out a brand-new âusedâ hoodie.
Taking the hoodie from Anesh with an excited gaspâ the words âdonât make a big dealâ already thrown out the window âthe garment is admired for a moment before itâs held tightly against his chest. Itâs soft⊠and already surrounds Shiro with his boyfriendâs comforting scentâŠ. and the gift, the gesture, is more meaningful than Shiro could honestly ever express. Small as it may seem compared to the lavish life Shiroâs been exposed to since he was born, heâd gladly give it ALL up for that one simple hoodie.
â Awwwwww⊠â  So naturally, a mischievous light arises within his gaze, Shiro leaning in closer as he says in a drawn-out sing-song voice, â  You liiiiiiiiiiiike me~ â  Which should be a-given since they are dating butâ Snickering at his own childish teasing, arms abruptly wrap around Aneshâs waist, hoodie hanging from his grip and face buried against his boyfriendâs body. Turning so his cheek is smushed against Anesh, the taller boy is given a strong squeeze. â ⊠I love it. Really. â Â
Words are quiet, antics set aside in favor of sincerity as the overzealous hug loosens into a relaxed hold, Shiro not moving away from Aneshâs warmth. Eyes shut, expecting Anesh to let him stay there as long as he wants, despite even Shiro being uncertain how long that may turn out to be. But itâs fine⊠In factâ
â If you wanna go anywhere, then youâre going to have to carry me⊠because Iâm not letting go and I refuse to move. â   ă â ă

âTwo Sides of the Coinâ | Chapter 16: Memory in a Shallow Grave | JidnĂ© Sheedra x Cal Kestis
Summary: Hell-bent on exacting revenge and retrieving the Holocron, the dreaded Darth Vader is now on the hunt for the young Jedi Knight, Cal Kestis. Under the assumption that he still possessed the artifact, while fueled by the intrigue of the boyâs strength and skill with the Force, the dark lord hires the bounty hunter, JidnĂ© Sheedra, to track him down and have him delivered alive. However, the task becomes a trial for young JidnĂ©, as she faces a conflict that tests her beliefs of a scarred past she had hidden for so long.
A/N: This has got to be the longest reply (in the guise of a fic chapter) Iâve ever written! ;A; I hope you donât mind the 4000+ or so word count, honey... because this is the part where Order 66 angst kicks in T^T

16 of ?
23 BBY
JidnĂ© passed the time by studying the Holocrons she borrowed from the Archives, she came across Master Kit Fistoâs Holocron wherein he has discovered the ancient lightsaber modification that allows oneâs saber to function underwater as it would on dry land. The little Padawan was intrigued and fascinated, so she set aside the other datacrons to listen to this particular one.
For the rest of the afternoon, she whiled away in reviewing the instructions and carefully studied the cross-sections. She realized that in order for this modification to work, she will need a second kyber crystal for the energy channels to route one anotherâsince a single kyber would short-circuit if submerged or activated underwater.
âThat would mean going to Ilum again,â JidnĂ© thought out loud in the solace of her dorm. âI wonder if I could ask Master Anesh. I bet sheâd allow me.â
âJidnĂ©?â the disembodied voice of her master beckoned her.
The girlâs head jerked to the direction where she found the voice, she seals the Holocron shut using the Force with promptness and sees Master Anesh walking into the garden square. JidnĂ© set aside the artifact on the bench along with her leather-bound journals where she copied the things she liked page after page, she landed on her feet as Nomara approached her little Padawan.
âIâm here, Master Anesh,â
Nomara peeked over the childâs shoulder and saw the Holocron sitting atop a small pile of notebooks.
âHave you been busy?â
âJust studying, I have something to tell you as well, Master Anesh!â
âLater, after todayâs practice,â
Jidné nodded in agreement, then the master noticed the four turquoise beads adorning the end of her Padawan braid.
âDid you do something with your braid?â
âHmm? Oh, remember our mission back in Alderaan? A peddler sold these beads. I thought the colorâs pretty and they resembled the ones on your headband, so I thought of decorating my braid with itâto make it look like yours!â the Padawan girl beamed.
The radiance of her innocence endeared her master, the gesture warmed Nomaraâs heart that she had to clutch her chest out of impulse.
âHow sweet of you. I think it made your braid twice as prettier,â
âThank you, Master!â
âYouâre welcome. Come now, my little one, weâve much to do for todayâs practice,â
JidnĂ© timed the moment where she can ask Master Anesh if sheâll permit to go to Ilum for that one requirement of the modification. Outspoken and carefree as ever, the Padawan girl decided to speak it out anyway before they could commence the training session.
âMaster, if I may ask,â
âYes, what is it, JidnĂ©?â
âAbout your saber. Is it waterproof? I mean, can you use it underwater?â the Togruta slighted her head to the side, shooting the girl an attentive look.
âYes, I can use it underwater. Why the sudden interest?â
âI came across a Holocron that shows how to modify the saber to make it work while in the water,â
The Togruta smiled, clearly recalling and knowing what the little Padawan is referring to.
âAh, so that Holocron over there must be a copy of Master Fistoâs,â
âYes, well, I was wondering ifâŠâ she trailed off rather bashfully, almost too shy to speak. âI could ask permission to go to Ilumâwith you, of course! To get that second crystal to make it work,â
Nomara smiled, her response to JidnĂ©âs request birthed a wide grin across the little ten-year-oldâs face. The girl sprang up and down from the floor out of sheer excitement, her ecstatic âYes!â echod across the emptiness of the gardens.
âBut first, we still have instruction. Weâre going to need to work on your Force Shroud. Remember when you told me that you still had trouble in using it? Well, weâll work on that, okay?â
The girl flashed a small smile, âIâd like that very much.â
âWeâll begin when youâre ready,â
The Padawan did a series of stretches for warm-ups, as well as her spinning exercises for her lightsaber handling. Nomaraâs teaching methods were similar to how Master Caius trained herâhe didnât rely on drones and droids, he personally sparred with Nomara during her days as an apprentice as well as enemies in the battlefield.
Nomara shed off her long, brown robesâmaking it easier for her to engage in combat against her Padawan. In between strikes and dodges, the Jedi Master bantered with the Padawanâgiving her words of affirmation or extra tips to better the girlâs combat style. JidnĂ© showed the same amount of promise that she demonstrated in the Initiate Trials; her skill with the lightsaber amplified with Aneshâs rather hands-on method of training, motivated by the aspiration to master Form V: Shien & Djem Soâwhich the master can clearly see in the Padawanâs pattern of movement.
âSteel your nerves, JidnĂ©, that way your Force Shroud doesnât falter in the slightest scare!â Nomara coached, and the sharp-witted girl took that into mind.
In the next move, JidnĂ© did steel her nerves while cloaked within her Force Shroud, she evaded Nomaraâs line of sight and studied her masterâs watchfulness until she could find the window of opportunity to strike. JidnĂ© jabbed at Nomaraâs directionâto which she flexibly deflectedâbut immediately pulled away to mislead her masterâs eyes; again, she observed the Togrutaâs expression and quickly realized that Nomara is still searching for the invisible Padawan.
âVery good, JidnĂ©!â Master Anesh commended albeit incapable to find her Padawan.
Perhaps JidnĂ© didnât notice itâshe didnât turn visible when she landed that jab and only found out after Master Anesh affirmed her. The child was satisfied and proud of herself, continuing in that same rhythm, the instruction carried on until dusk.

22 BBY
A year has passed since the Clone Wars began.
Members of the Jedi Council were, by default, appointed as generals, much to their chagrin and great contrast to the principles of their Order. A handful of Jedi were also dispatched as an auxiliary military group to aid the clones in fighting the war against Separatist and the droid army.
Seeing that it couldnât be helped, Nomaraâalong with her little Padawanâhas been named a general. She made peace with the fact that she can never keep a protective umbrella above JidnĂ©âs headâaway from all sorts of harm and violenceâgiven that this was the life that her mother preferred for her than digging the earth to live back in her homeworld of Eshyn.
At the disposal of the Jedi General are the 304th Battalion of clones commanded by the trooper captainâCT-7462 or Captain Gatâand a fleet spearheaded by the Venator-class cruiser named Wayward Patriot. The Patriot became the pairâs second home after the Jedi Temple, JidnĂ©âs only consolation and company aside from her master were the clonesâwhich greatly fascinated her. She talked their way into their hearts with her curious questions and playful nature.
âIs training hard for you guys?â JidnĂ© inquired.
The clone chuckled, âWell, it gets a bit tricky sometimes. I mean, it canât be any different from your training, eh, kiddo?â
âNah, I have it hard too, I guess,â JidnĂ© shrugged one shoulder, then slowly breaks down into little chuckles. âWho doesnât get their nerves worked up when theyâre fighting another youngling with tons of masters and other kids watching you?â
âOoh, that does sound tough!â the second clone played along while being genuinely bemused by the girl.
Despite the war, Nomara and JidnĂ© continued their usual days for practice and instruction. The Padawan has made progress in utilizing her Force Shroud until she can now manipulate and bend it to her will. The eleven-year-old also found it thrilling and frightening at the same timeâto be exposed to such degree of violence at this early a stage of her life.
âRun along now, little Jid,â the first clone tussled the girlâs head. âGeneral Anesh is waiting for you. Best not to keep her waiting,â
âRight, see you guys later in my free time!â
JidnĂ© hopped and skipped through the corridors of the Patriot until she found the specific room where she usually has her physical lessons with Master Anesh. She walked in on her master conversing with the clone accompanying them on the control room. The Padawan cleared her throat politely to call Nomaraâs attention.
âAh, JidnĂ©, just in time,â Master Anesh cooed, gingerly dismissing the clone with a slow wave of the hand. âAre you ready for todayâs practice?â
âYes, Master Anesh,â
âVery good,â the Togruta turned to the terminal to press a pattern of buttons and then beckoned her Padawan. âCome now, my little one.â
The two of them descended from the control room for the ground level of the room via a turbolift. When they walked to the center of the room, Nomara held up a small remote in handâwith the single touch of a button, the tiles of the floor started to rise, take shape, hover and stick to the walls. The shifting and changing of the environment startled JidnĂ© at first, but she got the hint.
âI didnât know this room has that!â she beamed.
âItâs very conducive for using skills that youâll often be utilizing in the battlefield,â
âIâm ready, Master!â
âI like your enthusiasm, JidnĂ©,â Nomara smiled back. âAlright then, whenever youâre ready.â
Beginning with the physical exercises, little JidnĂ© did her personalized set of stretches, she also studied the roomâhow it looked like, where the blocks are for her to take cover or use to her advantageâwith a single passing glance before signaling her master to commence.
âRemember what I taught you, little one,â
âI always do, Master!â
The tile where Master Anesh elevated her until she stands in the same level as the control room, her pedestal remotely stayed in that height. Meanwhile, JidnĂ© remained in the ground, her senses keening as she continues to study the structure of the roomâgiven that the tiles and blocks can change at any given moment of Nomaraâs commandâwhile anticipating for her masterâs starting signal.
Turrets unfolded from the ceiling of the room, their loud whirring alerted the girl, Nomara forewarned the girl that the guns were configured with non-lethal projectiles set for a training setting.
âShall we begin, JidnĂ©?â
The girl buckled, âReady when you are, Master!â
Observing the Padawan scamper across the room, evading blaster fire here and there, Nomara canât help but ponder to herself in her mind as she watched the girl skillfully evade and deflect the projectiles.
She has become more adept than I either hoped or imagine. Thatâs good. Sheâs learned to be strong and willful with the Force.
Her thinking led her to become off-guard of other thoughts. Out of the blue, the whistling noise the turrets made whenever they fire stimulated blurry images and incoherent sounds ringing in Nomaraâs drums. She brought her hand to her head, massaging the base of her montral as she struggled to ease the sudden heaviness that she feels within her but couldnât find.
ââ
20 BBY, THE DAY OF THE JEDI PURGE
Jidné joined her master in the conference at the bridge comprised of the admiral manning the Patriot, real-time hologram projections of the Jedi Generals Plo Koon, Depa Billaba and her Padawan Caleb Dume joining the transmission. Jidné recognized Caleb as she has met him during a joint campaign with their masters; the two children smiled at one another upon finding each other in the conference.
The masters concurred in giving each other reinforcement if the need arises. Jidné intently studied the projections flashing in the holotable, reading the inscriptions and data numbers floating beside the diagrams of the weapons and map.
âMay the Force be with us all,â Plo Koon bade, not out of custom but out of heart before his projection fizzled out of existence, followed by the other Jedi Masters and the other Padawan.
Nomara released a long sigh, she remained leaning by the edge of the table, her hand brought to her lip as she spaced out into deep thought. JidnĂ© noticed this and didnât disturb her until she opened her eyes again. The little girl wondered if the Togruta had the same thoughts sheâs been having of late, she meant to disclose it to her master but theyâve been piled with tons of transmissions as the tension of the war rages on.
âThere seems to be no end, does it, little one?â
âI suppose so, Master, but⊠We are doing a big help, arenât we?â
The Togruta noticed the little girlâs tone to have mellowed but thereâs a tinge of concern to it. Nomara places her hand gingerly on her dear Padawanâs head, stroking her hair down to her beaded Padawan braid.
âYes, we are. Itâs our job as peacekeepers to stop this kind of destruction from disturbing the planets who donât deserve and need chaos,â
The masterâs words did little to console the girl, despite managing a smile at the Togruta, the feeling of being downtrodden persisted within the young learner. Nomara then shepherded the child to the hangar where their starships await them. Along the way, JidnĂ© didnât seem to be herself lately.
âYour silence says a lot on your mind, child,â
Jidné jumped a bit, startled that her master pointed out her silence.
âMaster, something doesnât feel right. Please tell me you feel it, too,â it was unusual for JidnĂ© to speak in a hushed tone, Nomara sensed the pang of worry that rung between the words of her Padawan.
She thought she had fully buried that worry into the recesses of her mind, but she was proven otherwise when the same heavy feeling returned to herâclutching and wrenching at her core. It was a bothersome feeling that she canât exactly pinpoint⊠at least not yet.
âYes, I have, my little Padawan. Although, much like yourself, I cannot seem to place my finger where it originates,â
Deploying from the underbelly of the Patriot, Nomara and JidnĂ©âs starfighters led on a squadron of fighter pilots to the surface. The vessels dotted the sky in a crisp V-formation and circled the perimeter of the city in Modala, where thousandsâif not hundredsâof battle droids were marching in organized blocks and columns, with the superweapon guarded in the middle of the formation.
âCleaver, make sure you charge and prepare your ion cannons. Weâre going to put that superweapon completely out of commission before it could reach the legislative building!â Nomara barked through her radio.
The fleet of fighters closed in on the surface, getting more range at the enemy by the minute. The droid army was alerted when their radars and scanners picked up a multitude of signatures coming from the Jediâs fleet and their clones. The sight of their ships caused panic among the sentient, metal beanpoles that are the battle droids.
Nomara forewarned the entire fleet to disperse once the high-intensity ion cannon is fired. When the signal was given, all of the ships flew away from the blast radius that could disable their shipsâ auxiliary and main power grids and made a running pass around the perimeter to find a safe landing spot.
âPrepare to continue this on land!â
JidnĂ© licked her lips, a smug smirk curled on her face, âThis is where the fun begins!â
The ground assault was tense. The flock of LAAT gunships assisted Nomara from the air, amplifying their firepower against the approaching droids and their superweapon.
Lightsaber in hand, both master and apprentice charged through the line of battle, deflecting blaster fire and cutting down the battle droids by the numbers until they could reach the building in the heart of the city.
The battle was won, but not the war. What seemed to be only hours felt like days, the Jedi and her Padawan have secured the legislative building as the Separatist general who hid in it willingly relinquished it after being arrested. Despite their victory today, Master Anesh could not shake the dark feeling that lingered within her heart.
âGeneral Anesh,â a clone approached the pair to report, standing just behind JidnĂ©. âWeâve made a sweep in the building. The captives and the guards have been freed and are taken to a medical ward in the city.â
âVery good news, please relay that to me later for my report to the Council,â
âUnderstood, General,â the captain erected his posture and saluted at the Togruta. He excused himself and was about to return to his post by the door, but in the middle of his walk, he answered an incoming transmission labeled as urgent.
Execute Order 66. Groaned an ancient, raspy voice through the muffled feedback of the clone trooperâs comlink.
The Togruta turned her attention to her little Padawan, overlooking the city through the window of the office space.
âNow that Modalaâs been freed, are we going to give Master Plo or Master Billaba some reinforcements?â
âThat still depends, my little one, we have yet to expect their transmissââ Nomara abruptly left her sentence hanging, her hand instinctively went to the base of her montral, her fingers curling around the fullness of the horn to alleviate the aching but to no avail.
âMaster, are you okay?â JidnĂ©âs voice shuddered.
At the corner of her eye, Nomara spotted the clone aiming his rifle straight at the childâs head; the Padawan noticed the steely look in her masterâs eyes and followed its direction, looking over her shoulder only to be face-to-face with the hole of a blasterâs barrel. Everything seemed move in slow motion, her heartbeat was the only thing ringing in her eardrums; the adrenaline sharpened her reflexes and senses, the Togruta brandished her saber, pushed the girl out of the line of fire and then cut down the clone. JidnĂ© registered everything when the deed was done.
âWhaâwhat was that!? Was he gonna shoot me?! Whatâs going on?!â JidnĂ© bombarded her master with question who was still recovering from the nausea.
âJidnĂ©, somethingâs not right. Somethingâs very wrong,â Nomara panted. âOur clones have betrayed us. We need to leave this place. Now!â
âTheyâre in here!â the shout of a clone roared through the door, muffling his voice.
Nomara thought fast, she locked the door using the Force and laid out the escape plan to the girl as concisely as possible. However, they were cut short when one of the clones planted a sticky bomb to the door. The master and apprentice quickly cut down the clones that were coming after them, even after that run-in, neither of them withdrew their sabers.
âWhere do we go from here?â Nomara thought out loud.
The Padawan peeked over the window again and saw that their starfighters were still intact.
âMaster! Our starfighters!â
Both of them vaulted over the desk where they took cover, but before they could leave the room and run out into the openâwith the risk of being chased by their clonesâthe Togruta grabbed JidnĂ© by the shoulder and knelt to her Padawanâs height. Her plan was to split upâmaking herself live bait to lure out the clones so that JidnĂ© can get to the ships safely. Of course, JidnĂ© preferred sticking close with her master as much as possible, but Nomara tried to talk her into it.
âWhatever happens, you run. Do you understand?â
âYes,â JidnĂ© shuddered. Unable to contain her fear, she threw herself into Nomaraâs arms and the Togruta embraced her Padawan in the tightest she could.
Master Anesh held the girlâs small face in her elegant hands, âNow, be brave. Donât look back. Iâll be right with you. I promise.â
JidnĂ© nodded, in turn, her master mouthed âGoâ and the little Padawan girl bolted through the halls. Her legs carried her fast as they could, evading the clones whose senses are now on high-alert for both Jedi and Padawan. As much as she wanted to use her Force Shroud, the sheer levels of stress intervened with her focusâbeing able to only use it for a few minutesâ worth of runningâwhen she felt that sheâs re-materializing, she hugged the walls before turning around a corner to see if the coast was clear.
What went wrong? What changed? These questions screamed and ricocheted on the walls of her skull, and were answered by missed blaster fire and angry shouts of the clones, claiming that theyâve spotted the Jedi running.
âWhereâs the little girl!?â
âSheâll come around, get the Jedi!â
JidnĂ© crept to another path in the intersection, she was too busy focusing on the two clones who were in the corner that she didnât notice the clone in the path where sheâs heading into and bumped into his side. The clone was understandably startled, but upon sight of the Padawan, he swung his rifle and struck her across the face, a portion of the weapon had scraped the skinâproducing a cut on her cheekbone.
The young Padawan was too frightened and confused to think fast, she crawled backwardsâaway from the Stormtrooper who was already aiming the barrel at her heart, until an indigo beam of light flew his way, cutting through his torso forward and then another when the lightsaber was spinning back to the direction of its owner.
âJidnĂ©! Are you alright?!â
âYes, Master Anesh!â
A clone appears out of the corner at the end of the hallway, âThe Jedi and the little girl are here! Donât let them escape!!!â
âThis way, child! Come on!â
âComing, Master!â
The two bolted through the grand, luxurious hallways now strewn with bodies of clonesâboth from the siege and their betrayal against the Jedi. The closer they think theyâre getting to the exit where their starships are, the farther the clones push them inâcornering them into the building like mice in a maze.
Eventually, the clones have led them into the central foyer of the legislative building where they surround the master and her Padawan in a circle. This wasnât part of Nomaraâs plan, so she collected all of her might in her bodyâwhile praying to the Force to be with herâand then invisible yet torrential ripples exploded out of her hands, throwing the clones off of their feet and disorienting them. While thereâs still a chance, before any of the clones could get back up on their feet again, both Jedi returned to following their original path.
âKeep up with me, JidnĂ©!â
âIâm trying, Master!â
Finally! After losing their breath from evading the clones, the starships were in sight. The hope they thought was lost was regained. The two of them dashed out of the main entrance, the wake of destruction from the siege still ran fresh as smoke pillared to the heavens.
Just when they thought theyâve finally secured their escape, a line of troopers with an ARC Trooper in the middle stood in their way between the starships.
âGet behind me, little one!â
Jidné literally went back-to-back with Master Anesh, lightsaber in hand, and faced the direction of the main entrance anticipating the clones that the Togruta had disoriented using the Force. Not a moment later, the same clones from inside had reached them in the outer lobby.
âJidnĂ©, I want you to do exactly as I say, do you hear me?â
âYes, MasterâŠâ
Nomara spoke in the calmest of voices that JidnĂ© has ever heard amidst the chaos, âUse your Shroud. Now.â
The Padawanâs eyes widened, partially with confusion and immense horror, she had a clue of what her masterâs plan is. She didnât like itânot a single bit.
âJidnĂ©,â Nomara spoke calmly again, but the tone of her voice was hard and strict, so as to not give away their bluff to the troopers. The Togrutaâs eye glanced to the side, looking at the frightened Padawan. âNow.â
The ARC Trooper, already trigger-happy, barked at his brothers, âBlast her!!â
âJIDNĂ, NOW!!â
âNOOOOOOOOâŠ.!!!!â
In the blink of an eye, JidnĂ© felt like she was flyingâand flying she was, Nomara had used the Force on the Padawan to send her out of the line of fire. JidnĂ© only landed a feet away from the circle of clones with the Jedi in the center, deflecting and banking away their shots with the remainders of her strength. Obviously, it was too much for one exhausted Jedi to overpower a ring of fifteen or so clone troopers shooting at her from all directions. The little girl, unaware that she had absentmindedly activated her Force Shroud, witnessed the clone troopersâthe other people she called her friends ever since this war beganâpelt her masterâs body with blaster fire.
Nomara, her body riddled with bullet holes through her armor and clothes, spotted little JidnĂ©âin this instance, she was surprised to be able to see JidnĂ© while the child was under the influence of the Force Shroud, she didnât sought for the explanation, she was glad that her dear Padawan is unseen and unharmed, although it saddened her when their eyes met; never have Nomara ever seen the little girl so stricken with terror upon what sheâs seeing.
As the final fulfillment of her promiseânot to the mother anymore, but to the child albeit unspokenâNomara called upon the Force, amplifying her the nearly-fluctuating energy within her. She pulled her arm back, fist clenched in the tightest that she could hold, and struck the soil hardâthis wave was very much stronger than the last, the seismic magnitude of Nomaraâs Force ability sent the clones literally flying. Some of the clones caught in the shockwave have died from a shattered spine or a cracked skull upon impact of a rock or the stone ground when they landed.
When the wave died down, JidnĂ© is unscathed, though sheâs left with the unfathomable degree of fear that her thirteen-year-old mind couldnât wrap around. Nomara was still standingâhowever sheâs clinging onto the last threads of dear life as she knows it. The Padawan scrambled up to her feet and caught her master before she could fumble near-dead to the soil.
âMasterâŠâ JidnĂ© sobbed, cradling Nomaraâs head on her lap.
âJidnĂ©âŠâ Nomara gasped, her vision already blurring and a black ring bordered her eyes.
âIâm here, MasterâŠ!â
The master hoists her weak hand to the Padawanâs cheek, her thumb ran across a tear streaming down the girlâs face. She choked as she struggled to speak.
âJidné⊠you have to goâŠâ
âNo, I canât leave you here!â
âPlease⊠JidnĂ©, more of them will be coming for you,â coughed Nomara, a tear rolled over her cheek. âSave yourself⊠Run!â
And with that final word, the bright, sparkling teal of Nomaraâs eyes have turned milky and lifeless. JidnĂ© couldnât yet accept the reality of her masterâs death, she shook the Togruta in a hopeless plea to wake up and there was no response. Nomaraâs head bobbed limply in JidnĂ©âs scrawny arms, the strand of beads fell from the montral headband and clattered to the dust. The girl picked it up and kept it in her pocket, regretting her decision of setting up a pyre for the deceased Jedi, seeing that this would alert the other clones who might still be looking for her.
Following her masterâs final request, JidnĂ© did run. Eventually, her running has brought her into the dense urban area of Modala, the entrance of her new life while leaving behind the one she has always known.

CURRENT TIMELINE
âAnd ever since then, I survived Modala⊠somehow. But it still haunts me up to this day, I canât seem to let go of it even if I wanted to,â
âWe all have lost someone during the Jedi Purge. I know how hard it is to overcome the sadness,â
âYeah⊠Itâs just difficult to find more ways to cope,â
âHow about making me vice president of cheering you up?â
JidnĂ© turned her head to the boy. She chuckled, endeared by his child-like purity, a similar trait she has buried within the depths of her core, though she doesnât realize that.
âHere, I got something for you,â
Cal produced a trinket strand similar to JidnĂ©âs: a chain of Featherfern and Royal Fluzz budsâtwo for eachâencased in transparent, glass beads. The Jedi girl admired the handiwork with wonderment.
âItâs a saber tassel like yours, I made it myself. My first gift as vice president of cheering you up,â
âItâs beautiful,â JidnĂ© sighed, not wasting a second in tying it up along with her original tassel at the pommel.
She secured it with a tight double-knot, the new addition to her pommel dangled with the turquoise beads as she held it up in front of her and Cal. Finally, her tassel got prettier with the variety in color. She turned to the redhead and smiled warmly at him.
âThank you⊠so much,â
âCâmere, you must be cold,â Cal cooed, lifting up his arm to open the sleeve of his poncho to offer his side to JidnĂ©.
The girl scooted closer to the redheadâs side until his arm could wrap around her shoulder. She released what ought to be the biggest sigh to date, she felt her entire body soften up the moment Cal held her close, nuzzling his cheek against her head and curling his fingers tighter around her arm. For the first time in years, she felt safe.

Ok, everybody knows Iâve been obsessed with Jedi: Fallen Order lately xD Souuu, Iâve come across the lovely @veron-argentum who is writing amazing fanfics and recently started writing one with her OC, JidnĂ© Sheedra. And since sheâs badass and I really like her, I decided I wanna draw a little Fanart :3 And while reading the fanfic I actually came up with this idea and just had to draw it xD Idk, I just like the idea of the masters still watching over their padawans :3 I was thinking about naming this piece something like âIâm so proud of you, my padawanâ or âI will always be watching over youâ, but Idk what Nomara would actually say^^ Anyway, enough of my babbling, hope you guys like it, especially you @veron-argentum, even though Iâm just a hobby artist and still have much to learn^^â And go check out the fanfic if youâre interested! (Read Chapter 1) (Oh right, I also...mightâve re-used the background from my last artwork with Auriel, I thought it fit xD) JidnĂ© Sheedra and her master Nomara Anesh belong to @veron-argentum Please do not use this artwork unless you got permission from her and me to use it!
