you don't really know how to show affection towards those you like or love without spending money. you're so used to others doing it for them—your parents throwing a couple of expensive clothes or jewellery at you for your birthday, your friends taking you out to lavish restaurants as a gift as opposed to something homemade or actually thought out. of course, you like all of those things, who wouldn't? but.. they don't know how to not spend money on those you love.

you don't understand the saying, 'money doesn't buy happiness'. it's managed to make you happy your entire life, so how's that supposed to work? like.. it doesn't make sense. so when matt's birthday's coming up, well, you immediately knew you were gonna buy him something nice and take him somewhere expensive.

but you can't help but think that maybe that's not the best course of action, that matt wouldn't exactly want the generic rich kid birthday starter pack. he's got three siblings, damn it, maybe he'd want something a little more.. meaningful? he's probably seen a few birthday dinners at expensive resturaunts in his time, you doesn't want it to be boring for him. you wanted to make an impact, even if you didn't know how.

it gets to a point where you're stumped, completely. you know matt so well, but are so stuck in your old ways and so used to just shelling out some cash for one day only to do it again and again annually, that coming up with anything that he wanted seemed impossible.

a new skateboard? surely he had enough. protective gear? now that was just comical. you hated the feeling of not being able to come up with a meaningful gift to give him. sure, you two aren't dating, but you're close enough to constitute a gift, right? it pisses you off to no end, to the point of upset. you practically storm into matt's room, having been let in by chris when he saw how distraught you were. "you're so fucking hard to please! how am i supposed to get you a gift for your birthday when, when—"

matt's taken off guard. first of all, how'd you get in? he's assuming it was one of his brothers who'd let you in, but.. second of all, you're so upset. he'd thought he'd done something wrong but you're yelling at him about a gift? his birthday? he blinks for a minute, sitting up, "hey, hey, hey," he starts, frowning. the sight of you so upset makes his heart ache in the worst way possible. getting up from his bed, his gaze rakes over you.

it's appreciative, of course, but also concerned. "you're scarin' me, sweetheart, what's goin' on?" he mumbles, taking a little step closer as he reaches out for you. gently, he places his hands on your arms and draws you a little closer. you look up at him with glassy eyes, a little wet with tears that you try to blink away as to not seem weak or make your mascara run. "stop bein' all.." you don't know what you're protesting against, you really don't.

"all what?" his brows furrow a minute, a small, faint smile ghosting his lips. it only serves to make you a little more upset with how caring he is to you, even when you're a bit of a bitch to him sometimes. hey, he's a bitch in return too.

"all nice. we're supposed to fuck 'n' be all passionate, that kinda thing," you mumble under your breath, lashes fluttering as your eyes lift to his. matt feels a warmth flood his chest and he shakes his head, "don't even want you thinkin' 'bout that whilst you're feelin' like this," he murmurs quietly, tone firm but soft. "you gonna tell me what's up, or—'cause we can just watch a movie or somethin'." as much as he was passionate with your body, he was passionate with your heart too.

"wanted to get you something nice for your birthday, yeah? like.. something you'd enjoy, not some shit you'd say you like and then never use ever again," you start to explain, relaxing a little at the touch on your arms finally and melting your way against him. he hums for a moment, slowly nodding his head at your words. "but nothin's coming to mind at all. blank slate—i can't think of anything you like, i've tried every store, every website." you'd spent hours with your laptop and your soft blankets wrapped around you, just trying to find a single gift for him.

"babe," he sighs at the sight of you, the corners of his lips flitting upwards at the realisation that settles upon him. all this over him? over his birthday? god, you're adorable. "really?"

"what do you mean, really—what type of shitty response is tha—"

"hear me out," matt murmurs, interrupting you gently. he rubs his hands over your arms easily, sighing for a second as his eyes meet yours. "what if i don't want all that? what if i just wanna spend some time with you? y'ever think about that?" his hands slide up over your arms to your neck, fingers curling around the back gently. "that ever cross your mind?"

you scoff instantly at that—"well, who'd want that?" he doesn't admit it, but the sound of you saying that about yourself makes his heart ache in his chest once more. shaking off the pang of hurt, he continues after being quiet for a moment. "me, i'd want that. jus' bein' with you makes me happy. that'd make it a real good birthday." you can't deny there's a warm, fuzzy feeling in your heart when he says that. no one's ever said that your company is all they need to be happy.

you bite your tongue momentarily, considering your words. a bashful little look dawns on your face and you look away with a quiet huff. "yeah?" you mumble, looking up at him through your lashes after. damn it, he makes your heart feel all fluttery and warm like no one else has before. you're not sure whether you like it all that much—since it's so vulnerable, but you can't say you hate it, since you don't. "really?"

he draws you into him, his hand sliding up to the back of your head to cradle it before he holds you against his chest. "i mean it, pretty girl," he murmurs, his words completely genuine and true. he really does mean it, he loves you and your company so damn much—even if he can't say it. he doesn't need your alone time with him to end with having sex, or for you to buy him expensive little gifts, he just needs you. "really do mean it. i like hangin' out with you, ain't it obvious?"

"you're so—like," you don't know how to explain it. your head tilts a little, chin bumping against his chest a little as his fingers brush over your jaw. "so.." you're a little lost for words, admittedly. a smile plays over matt's lips once more, his eyes fluttering over your pretty face.

"so what, babe?"

you're quiet again, considering what to say before you make the decision that words can't describe how you feel enough. so you lean in, grasping at the fabric of his shirt to draw him closer and press your lips against his. it's slow, gentle, he blinks a minute to adjust to the fact you're kissing him, but he melts into it almost immediately. his plush lips against yours feels like heaven, parting a little instinctively. resting his hands on the sides of your face, he holds you against him.

after a little bit, he pulls back. "i get it," he murmurs quietly, "no need to explain. i know." he gets you more than anyone else.

Ok so 2 of wands is a nice starter card for impressions. As a colleague this can show a skillset that includes good foresight, and planning. Starting off I could assume you’re seen as someone who likes to plan and is more organised than others. This is collaborative energy. I feel like maybe you’re taken on better by masculine people in the workplace. I get the idea people have been relieved last minute that oh, yeah, pile one actually prepared for x y or z, that’s lucky.

The magician reversed in this tarot deck always makes me think of someone who is more tricky with their words. This can be great in some situations, for example if you’re trying to sell something. You can navigate conversations for a set goal. However, in a more negative light this might mean that some coworkers could think you’re on the manipulative side in your interactions with them. Some may worry they can’t trust you. Whether this is valid or not is up to you. Sometimes we do say little things that maybe we know we shouldn’t, for example, saying something in passing about another coworker. Sometimes we gossip.

The high priestess as how you’re seen professionally makes me think you seem to have a magic touch. It’s like if a computer isn’t working, but you try and work it and all of a sudden it’s fine. I think maybe sometimes you can make someone feel silly because all of a sudden there’s no problem lol.

Wheel of fortune makes me think of timing, and after high priestess it makes me think they aren’t sure what you do when they don’t see you. It could be a curiosity about your personal life, maybe you don’t divulge very much about how you spend you time. It could be that you seem to have this magic touch or always be prepared, but it’s out of nowhere or they don’t understand how you got skilled somehow, because they haven’t seen you spend time on learning more for example. It could be like, well, how do you know that when our manager hasn’t taught us x y z. So you could be secretly self taught or seen as having a natural talent.

i just showered and spent the entire time still thinking about this timeline because i love SO MUCH that it's like. a hunter extended grief spiral to match luz's over in the worst timeline. WHEEEE BE MISERABLE ABOUT EACH OTHER !! YAYYY

lilith is transparently coming apart at the seams, given that she's just lost her status AND any chance to heal eda's curse. amity is responding to this by scrabbling even harder for any bit of control she can get, which typically involves yelling at hunter and/or lashing out at hooty with her abomination magic.

at first hunter responds very similarly to the way he does in ftf -- after amity refuses to let him go martyr himself, he THROWS himself into making plans to attack belos. however even with all his castle knowledge and belos knowledge and wild magic knowledge, it's Pretty Fucking Difficult to assassinate the emperor. particularly when you are Public Enemy Number One.

after frustrating himself about a dozen times in a row, hunter starts digging through all of eda's books on wild magic and deeply illegal dark magic and other bullshit. eda assumes it's for more emperor-killing business, until hunter comes to her all like

Writing gives me the time and space to gather my thoughts. I use it as a practice in conveying emotion, which makes it easier to do so and thoroughly explain reasoning. I use writing as a base for learning human psyche, soul, mind and spirit which interests me deeply. I try digging deeper into feelings and actions - reasons why some are done and linking them together.

I pick muses based on some hint of personality trait I see of myself in them. I find myself often asking what I want so having muses that at least correlate to my thoughts are a better fit for me than just a choice at random. It can be big as the way they think or it can be as small as sharing a favorite drink. Exploring their interests based on their world and adding on to it makes it way more enjoyable for me to write, story and world building is important to me.

I fucking love everyone I have ever written and will ever write with. This has been nothing but a warm and loving experience for me.

My nickname is thanks to my father, who even though he named me one thing, found it often too long and switched it to another lol.

I go to at least 3 concerts every month. Mostly rock in genre if I get to chose but I never say no when friends ask. I will always be your +1 to any event.

Zero dude. Literally none. I just picked it up as a hobby and passed my blogs one year birthday last august. I have been truly active in the writing community for only half a year in total.

I go with the flow, I enjoy coming up with things on the spot. Diseccting my muses and throwing them into any type of situation just to write myself out of it. Or-... make it worse for them. Keep it interesting you know?

I write through and together with music, I let it guide me often. This is kind of the reason I am a slow replier, I have to really feel what I want to put down and then I can stick to it. I hope you enjoy Zelda!!! But I do have an ask platonic wise if that’s alright, so sweet child of mine is obviously a reader who’s like 18 to young 20’s I’d say. How would the story have gone if the reader was like way younger? Like a kid the navy came across with the devil fruit abilities, would things have gone down differently, and if so how much? (As everyone kinda sees reader as a kid anyways.)

Well, a lot of the story is out of Reader's hands as someone that's kidnapped for literally all of it. So plotwise it's not that different. They wouldn't go to the labs as a kid either because they're not old enough to properly test outside of the field. They don't know how to explain their power or do anything, so real life is the best teacher still.

But for starters there probably would have been at least one more marine at the starting incident. Kiddo would be treated... A little better but not really by their partner since the blow to the ego of knowing you 'awesome power' is because of a tot.

Marco would have been quicker to just snap them up without knowing about the devil fruit after Williams smacked the baby like a dickhead.

Reader as a kid would be a lot faster to cry and get overwhelmed but genuinely believes they're 'meant to do good' in the Marines. Just really sad baby hours that they can't seem to 'do it 'right'' when really it's their partners getting pissy about a literal child being valued more than them.

Kid reader would also attach faster to positive attention without the knowledge an older reader would that they're still a prisoner. Though they'd get scared easily and freak outs mostly involve getting upset that they can't leave to go back to their 'job'. By the time plot catches up, reader will mostly have let go of being a marine or having forgotten entirely. Liking being on a big ship where everyone is nice all the time and doesn't snap at them for things outside their control.

Teach would have convinced them that they're playing a hide and seek game seeing as it's the easiest route. Taking them around the islands to distract them from the fact that this 'game' sure is taking a long time.

Meeting Luffy is more positive cause they think his fruit feels cool but no one gets why they keep making drum sounds while playing with him--not that Teach let's it go on for long. He knows Ace is closing in at that point.

Triggering the Dial Down is due to finding out the truth and that Teach hurt Thatch. Wanting to 'ground' Teach from the neat powers he's used prolifically all this time. And then probably not totally understanding what Akainu did at first by melting his head.

Poor Ace and Marco will be so horrified when the last they see of little reader is just a sobbing child, wailing before accidentally "over locking" Akainu's fruit and blasting off.

Still gets saved by Mao and found as word gets out about a miraculous rescue of a child via sea king.

Reader is very tired and more than a little injured when they show up and take the tot home.

Aside from that, a lot more carrying around at every opportunity. Hugs and affection since reader isn't as against it. A lot easier to distract from negative situations and likely didn't realize they'd been drugged so Thatch isn't bullied like before.

Might keep the title thing cause it's funny to think of them trying to argue with a child who just thinks they're cooler than the actual name.

I’m just reiterating this because some of my asks have people wondering if they can still request, and I want to answer them saying “yeah of course they’re still open, feel free”, but the answers are where I post the drawings, and I still have a backlog so I can’t just draw the fankid and answer there, that’s unfair to the people who asked first

I post around 1-3 a day, it’s usually on the lower end, and I tend not to do many during breaks or weekends. So it’s at lowest 5 a week. My backlog is I think over 40. While I do skip around from time to time and do ones higher up on my list, don’t expect newly submitted ones to be done anytime soon. Also I’m considering taking a break at some point, so just be aware if that happens. I’ll do them, it just might take a while

Edit: the above post is very untrue. For starters my backlog is now over 90, though I also skip around a lot more so there’s no guarantee when I’ll have them done compared to when they get requested. But most importantly, I have become much slower in my drawings, posting 1 or 2 a week at best if even that. I do still take requests but know that it can be a very long time until your request is done

This isn’t necessarily needed, but if you could, maybe tell me how you interpret the ship and the dynamics that come from it. I may have a lot of the Cookies, but I don’t know all of them inside and out and I may not understand the ship dynamic, so 9 times out of 10, I’m just going off of visuals and what I can guess. Telling me their dynamics could give me more of an idea of what I should be going for and perhaps lead to more creative outcomes. You don’t need to, but I would like it if you can

Edit edit: so now I’ve decided to take on a new type of request, that being parent requests, where basically you can request for me to draw parents of a character or characters. Sort of the opposite of the fankid requests but still similar. I’ll just put some notes about it down here

You only need to request one character, you don’t have to do two or more. If the characters are related, or you want to make it known to me that you headcanon multiple characters as siblings/being related, that’s perfectly fine, and I might need those headcanons so I know what I’m working with

There’s a lot less rules here since this is family headcanons, not romantic in any way

This is just a general note, but I’m aware of the possibility that I will get parent requests for characters that I’ve done or will do fankid requests for. for starters my mbti is istj — i'm kinda of an introvert, moreover of a logical side person, can be quiet and a little too serious about everything (or call it slow if you'd like too lmao). usually i'm in my own world, listening to music or watching some movie since i'm very much passionate about both. i have a tomboyish look (?) and like to see myself as someone responsible and independent as well since i'm a older sister of two. i can come off as rude sometimes, not very much of a softie, making me also not a huge fan of physical affection. i am a little nerd about things i love and can go for hours when something of my enjoyment is mentioned. for physical aspects i'm 5'3, have very short brownish hair and for the eyes the same color but more caramel-like. i use glasses, absolutely despise bugs and i prefer savory than sweet food. i don't know how to deal much with people who are the opposite of me, whose more sensitive and emotional, but that's something i'm working hard on!

Pt. 1: My apologies in advance for the essay this is gonna be but I've been rewatching Loki s1 and. On a first watch I resigned myself to what seemed the inevitable heterosexuality of Marvel's choices, but rewatching now it's wild how much a Lokius reading of s1 sticks the landing, despite the apparent Sylkie triumph??

See. Okay for starters. Taking as read the adorable speedrun at which Loki and Mobius start revolving around one another and Mobius sticks his neck out for Loki and Loki lights up like the sun under Mobius’ attention. I don't think Loki's betrayal was inevitable. Sure he’s telling himself it is, grasping for a sense of continuity with himself, but when he chooses to run after Sylvie there’s real hesitation. (I don’t think he’d ever just go ‘yeah TVA fascism seems cool!’ but I think part of him was starting to wonder whether there was a way forward with Mobius instead of against him).

Specifically in this watch it hit me so hard that right before he runs after Sylvie he has this exchange with B-15 and Mobius:

Loki: “You can trust me. I understand I have to earn that, so, I will.”

Mobius: “Why is it the people you can’t trust are always saying ‘trust me’?”

And it lingers on Loki after that. Mobius walks away, and Loki watches him go.

Then I think about the fight with Sylvie at the end of time, Loki referring to himself as someone who categorically cannot be trusted even though he has no intent to betray her—because even though he knows he's changed, he’s lied too many times for anyone to reasonably put faith in him. So I just imagine him in this exchange with Mobius being on the cusp of meaning it, of really truly considering earning trust and then honest to goodness being trustworthy, only to think—if even Mobius can’t believe him. Where is the good in being trustworthy if he nevertheless cannot be trusted?

And so he regresses. In ep1 he says “you can trust no one but yourself”, which Mobius hand-waves as a cynical platitude. But in the very moment it seems there is no path forward with Mobius, Loki is in a position to make that platitude reality. Sylvie—a person he currently thinks of as himself—is there. Perhaps Loki could have trusted Mobius; but surly he can trust this other himself more? And, perhaps even more crucially, it may be that he himself is the only creature in the universe who can trust him back. Perhaps he himself is thereby the only one it is possible to build a relationship with.

And so when the moment comes, he runs after Sylvie. But even so, he hesitates. Is torn. And I wonder truly if, had that exchange with Mobius not just occurred, he might have made a different choice. Even so early as that.

But the really interesting stuff is when you properly get into ‘Sylkie’.

Weiss:Yang, you know how you stare at your girlfriend or you catch one of us staring fondly and go “oooo you’re in love.” There is no “ooo” when boys have that stare, because I’ve seen Sun stare at Blake and it felt like doomsday.

Blake:YES!

Ruby:How the heck is it doomsday?

Blake:Okay so him and I went to a restaurant one time, nothing fancy or anything. Just the ramen place. And like Weiss said, I’m not afraid to admit there are dumb times I’m looking at this dork and hearts might as well be over my head. I’m not even subtle. I don’t gotta be. Weiss:Neptune with “it’s the natural karma for how boys stress in the beginning.” Honestly…yeah.

Yang:Shit, what did… Neptune, how did you describe flirting before? It was really funny.

Neptune: “It’s like a job interview but with emotional investment.”

Yang:There it is! This goes for everyone but I will admit I have witnessed Weiss’s boyfriend quake in his boots trying to make a good impression. It was better than anything on tv! I was invested, I laughed, I gasped.

Weiss: I really didn’t make it easy.

RBY:You really didn’t.

Yang:He got through the door and know you’re like “Shit, he’s in, and wants to stay!”

Blake: Elm with “That moment you realize he actually sees you as a queen.” It really is that feeling. Suddenly you want to eat your ramen slower.

Yang:Like a normal person.

Blake:Debatable.

Ruby:Weiss, what was your doomsday moment?

Weiss:Oof ummm, oh I know. Ugh..

Yang:Hehehe this sounds great already.

Weiss:Listen, it was less doomsday and more villain realization moment.

Ruby:The f-continue please.

Weiss:Well for starters hehe, it was a fight. I’m talking yelling, high emotions, tables were hit harder than they should. I can’t even be bothered to remember what it was in it’s entirety that sparked it. This was still fairly early in our relationship but not too early.

Blake:Y’all we’re having growing pains.

Weiss:That. Standard adjustment period that comes with longer term and serious dating. If you ask him, he will say neither of us were wrong. We just felt differently about things.

Yang:And if we ask you?

Weiss:Hehe, we’ll get to that. So it has gotten to the point neither of us are budging on our views. He’s being stubborn and I’m…being myself I guess. Stubborn by nature might as well be the Schnee motto. However, I start not being exactly the best individual-

Blake:Ah, the real Schnee motto.

Weiss:Hush you’re face. I get emotional enough to essentially draw a line in the sand and go “So I guess you want to break up with me then?” Only I say that pretty aggressively because at this point I honestly thought this argument was the nail in our coffin. You know what he says back after so much yelling? Calmly, he just looks at me and says “No, but maybe we just need a break?”

Yang:Agh, my heart!

Ruby:That just might be the perfect counter to that.

Blake:He basically told you “I’m committed to us, but just need a minute.”

Weiss:And I felt so fucking bad! Here I was, ready to burn a bridge and cry about it, meanwhile he was trying to keep it built. Mentally I went “Weiss, what the he’ll is wrong with you?”

Ruby:You had your hand on a doomsday switch

Yang:Did you guys actually take a break?

Weiss:We’ll…I guess? I don’t really count it. It was about three days.

Blake:And you didn’t tell us!?

Weiss:I was too busy thinking about his response and that night overall. We apologized and I particularly did feel super awful even though he saw no villain, I saw one, me!

Yang:Honestly if you told me I would’ve assumed you were in the wrong.

Weiss:WOW!

Yang:Hey, it’s like if Penny and Ruby fought. I love you sis, but there’s no way Penny meant you any wrong.

Ruby:….*looks at camera* Dating sweat hearts suck! Why are they so good? I hate that I can’t deny what Yang just said.

Weiss:What’s a fight even look like?

Ruby:Nothing. If we’re sad then we’re sorry.

Yang:Geez, it really is sugar without the spice between you two. Plus everything nice.

Blake:Nora with “Love how Weiss is committed to never saying her boyfriend’s name.” It’s actually funny because anyone who hangout with us enough undoubtedly have the correct assumption.
