For a story I can't yet share the details of...
Jimmy and Scott separated because of poor timing, belated poor chemistry at the time, and other issues that arose where Scott had to turn more of his attention elsewhere and to other matters than toward Jimmy. So Jimmy left (which was the correct choice at the time), and - a while later - ends up meeting, befriending, and later getting together with Tango. Tango, at some point after this, convinces Jimmy to go talk to Scott again because Jimmy's still torn up about how that ended, he and Scott haven't spoken since, and talking it over would help clear the air and gain some sense of closure, perhaps for both of them.
So I have two paths I could take here...
A) Jimmy goes to talk to Scott, they mend fences, heal broken hearts, and find common ground again. They find that they work so much better as close friends, and they're able to support each other and be there for each other in ways that don't need to be romantic to still be worthwhile. Jimmy finds he meshes better with fire rather than ice (Tango instead of Scott), but the worth of his and Scott's relationship is still there no matter what. (Breaking up doesn't always mean breaking apart)
B) When Jimmy goes to talk to Scott, it's not just Jimmy that's been aching over the past. They mend things, forgive mistakes, and carry on...but in this instance, they find that timing, more than anything, was the main problem they had in the first place. They're both in a better position to try being together again, and Tango is fully supportive of that. Fire and ice balance each other out after all, don't they? (And Jimmy has two hands)
#Both options are correct#And this may not even affect how the story goes lol#But I'm very curious to see what folks decide on here#Team Rancher#Flower Ranchers#Flower Husbands#Hey uhhhh Hybs I apologize for this one akdsjbajefa I've just had THOUGHTS and the BB server gave me inspiration for an alternate path xD#FORGIVE ME#Pixie Does Polls#W&F AU

The Showers is my fav creepypasta as I've said but OH MY GOD does it have one of the most punchable characters in a creepypasta ever.
#I HATE Karen#which is intentional on the writer's part but omg did he do a good job#she's only in the extended one not the original two#so I'm glad for that#the part 3 isn't that great anyway lol#the reason it's my fav and has been since it's release is because it is very affective at telling the story#the build up with Mays' story and how accurate and realistic to an experience like that is#and the fact that the character becomes obsessed with the story is realistic#and goes and gets his own version of the story that is similar to his teachers and the trama passes on#even though the 3rd one isn't that great and does nothing to develop his character it still follows the idea of passing on the trama#I know Karen is mentally ill but that doesn't excuse the actions she takes in forcing him to go back to something that traumatized him#just because SHE was fascinated with it#Mays never did that he only told the story to help himself understand and get over the loss of a friend#I also enjoy the story because it's both based on an urban legend and functions as one#also if you can't understand why I like it when it's 'shit' we're talking about a creepypasta not any other type of horror

what i learned during my reflection periodā.ą³ąæ*:ļ½„š§š½āāļøš
as you may or may not have noticed, i've been hiatus for most of the month now. and i disappeared because of personal reasons, and one of those reasons being that i felt i needed to reflect. here are some things that i've learned and realized during my reflection time.
this is quite personal to me, but i wanted to kind of have a heart to heart with you guys and im sure that someone is probably struggling with what i mention in this post so i hope this is comforting...š¬š
WHY I FELT STUCK IN MY LOA JOURNEY ;
i was literally doing the most and it felt like such a chore at the time. i would force myself to affirm in ways that felt unnatural, i was letting myself get bullied by the 3D, even though i KNOW i dont have to do a thing. i was putting way too much effort in the wrong way.
WHAT'D I DO ABOUT IT ;
i took a step back and RELAXED. i did what felt natural again and enjoyed manifesting again and because of that i've had success story after success story...š¬š
DOING A SELF AUDIT ;
i wanted to take a second and expose toxic behaviors and patterns that i noticed i exhibit and that have started to affect not only my physical but my mental in a very very negative way.
i'd been struggling with regulating my emotions and managing them so i was a walking ball of stress š. a beautiful ball of stress but stress nonetheless. i just felt so stuck.
WHAT'D I DO ABOUT IT ;
i went through the motions and after having a total meltdown and doing a bit of journalling i released everything, giving myself a completely clean slate once more.
i did a bit of a refresh and did miscellaneous things to make myself feel like im starting again. things like self concept work, changing the theme of my phone, taking an everything shower + bubble bath, having a pinterest makeover and getting a trim on my hair.
i forced myself to drink more water, and go for long walks not only to get some sunlight but to get my heart pumping and push myself out of the depressive rot that i had been in for months internally, but had pushed itself out as soon as summer started.
THE DEATH OF A SITUATIONSHIP ;
i got really attached to this boy š but he was such a piece of work. like he did that hot and cold shit, but i rly rly liked him so i ignored the obvious red flags. but i got to a point where i just felt used and embarrassed. upon further reflection i think i didn't wanna let him go because he was so fine š, like 6'5 muscular kind of fine.
no matter how handsome a guy is if he has an ugly personality or if he just treats u badly then hes not fine at all...š¬š
WHAT'D I DO ABOUT IT ;
i went no contact. thats like the easiest way to get over someone i think lol. i went no contact and i just manifested better things for myself. like being asked out by a bunch of guys and wingstop to comfort myself š§
also i focused on what i got out of the whole thing. i got the redirection that i wanted, PLUS i was filled with inspiration for my song writing.
SONG RECOMMENDATIONS ;
i want war (BUT I NEED PEACE) - kali uchis
eternal sunshine - jhene aiko
let you go - clara la san
needy - ariana grande
AT THE END OF THE DAY ;
i wanted to include this section as a reminder that everyone goes through shit. things happen. its okay to be affected by it and its okay to be sad. the most important thing is to not dwell on it too long. remember that you are not a victim and remember how amazing you are BECAUSE YOU ARE. you are amazing and no matter what happens, regardless of anything your gonna be okay and your gonna be in a much better place, it starts with putting one foot in front of the other...š¬š (love honey)

IMAGINE...being there with Arthur when he goes to Thomas Downes for his payment and interfering before things can go too far (preventing Arthur from catching TB)
WORD COUNT: 953
WARNING: none that I can think about, Arthur may be OOC some.
OTHER: reader is gender neutral; no gender specifics given to the reader so your choice!
A/N: the brain rot is real with RDR2 and with Arthur Morgan; I've been feeling icky for the last few days and the others in my house are all coming down with stuff so I needed a comfort character aka Mr. Morgan himself.
A/N2: I've been wanting to write an alternative to the scene where Arthur gets sick where...well...he DOESNT get sick. Originally, I attempted writing him as more low honor Arthur and then instead got this instead lol
A/N3: ENJOY!
āArthur stop.ā
āArthur this has gone on long enough.ā
āARTHUR DAMMIT!ā
Your weren't overly, physically strong by any means, but your partner wasn't in his right mind and was swinging blindly at the poor, frail man he had pinned to the ground. Arthur wasn't thinking clear enough that you were able to knock him to the ground and off of the man who immediately rolled to the side and started coughing, blood splattering all over the ground.
You held a hand to Arthur's chest, praying like hell he had the sense not to start swinging on you as well. āMr. Downes, I am so sorry about this. Iā¦it seems the heat has gotten to my partner. Is there somewhere that we can speak, calmly and peacefully?ā The man had been upset the entire time you and Arthur had been there. Whatever reasons he had for borrowing from Strauss, you knew that you and Arthur didn't have even half of the story. And while you ran with the Van Der Linde gang, the last thing you enjoyed doing was swindling poor people who clearly were unable to repay the loan.
āArthur, go clean your hands off. Now. And stay with the horses.ā You demanded, openly glaring at him and silently warning him against arguing with you.
He grumbled and spat at the ground, but knew you well enough not to push his luck.
You waited for him to stomp off before turning back to the Downes family.Ā
They were watching you with hesitation and distrust, which you couldn't blame them at all for, but you could also see something hidden just beneath the surface. Something akin to hope.
You sat with them for over an hour, listening to their troubles and how they had ended up this way. They truly were just misfortunate souls who had landed on bad times that seemed to only get worse.
Mr. Downes was sick. Really sick.
It had affected his ability to work as he once had. Taking aloan from Strauss had felt like the only thing to do at the time. Even if the man knew it was a bad idea.
āGet well, please. You won't hear from myself or my associates again.ā You promised, biting back the raw anger building in your stomach for Leopold Strauss. What the hell had that man been thinking loaning to these people?
He's a fraud. Just like the rest of us in the Van Der Linde gang. Liars, cheats, and no-goods.
How could you have expected anything but this?
āFeeling better?ā You asked Arthur, coldly, as you met back up with him at the horses.
āOh don't start with me. What the hell was that back there? I nearly had the payment.ā
āYou nearly guaranteed your own death, Morgan, don't get an attitude with me. That man is sick, his family is struggling, have someā¦some compassion. This isnt you, Arthur. You're not a thoughtless, careless asshole who beats up the helpless.ā
āOh what the hell do you know about me?ā
You rolled your eyes and pulled yourself up into your horse's saddle, āI know youāre better than this. I know you're not meant to be the next Dutch. And I know that all of this eats away at you at night; whether you want to admit it or not.ā
Arthur scoffed and rolled his eyes, āYeah well, you think youāre so smart, dontcha?ā
āSmarter than youāre acting,ā you grit your teeth and pulled at your horseās reins to turn away from him, āGet your head out of your ass, Arthur, and stop trying to act so damn tough. The others might like you like this, but I donāt. And I can think of a few others who donāt either.ā
āYeah, yeah.ā Arthur was sitting atop his own horse now and rode up alongside you. He was still upset, but his tone was lower and more gruff than anything else, āI was handling things just fine back there.ā
āSure, Arthur.ā
āI didnāt need you to step in.ā
āI know that, Cowboy.ā
āWill you stop answerinā me like that?ā A sigh slipped from your lips as Arthurās hand suddenly reached across the small distance between the horses and wrapped around your wrist, keeping you from taking off and trying to force you to pay attention to him. āYouāre still too soft on people, ya hear? He knew what he was getting into when he accepted Straussā loan.ā
Meeting his gaze, you nodded and responded with, āYes, he did, but people make mistakes, Arthur, and it shouldnāt be met with a stiff fist to the face. Heās ill, Strauss took advantage of that. Thomas Downes and so many more are simply trying to get by. Just as we are. It doesnāt matter now. The debt is settled, Iāll handle things with Strauss.ā
It was easy enough to see the look of thought behind Arthurās blue eyes, and you could tell he was thinking over everything that had happened and all you had said. Finally, he nodded stiffly and let go of your hand. āAlright then, Partner. Iāll follow your lead.ā
āReally?ā You questioned, brow raised.
Arthur shrugged, āDonāt sound so surprised. Donāt I always do as you say?ā His tone had returned to a more teasing nature, the corner of his mouth twitching upward in amusement.
āNo, you donāt. If you did, we wouldnāt always end up in these situations.ā
Humming, Arthur rubbed at his chin and asked, āWould you have me any other way?ā
A laugh escaped your mouth before you could stop it and this time when you rolled your eyes it was out of fondness instead of irritation as before. āNo, Arthur Morgan, I wouldnāt have you any other way.ā
*
Hey! I hope you all enjoyed! If so please consider liking and reblogging! Thank you!
Please stay safe!

DEEP DIVE INTO HORROPEDIAS AUTISTIC CODING : A GIANT ANALYSIS THING
ALTERNATE TITLE IS WHY THE FANDOM SHOULD CHECK OUT HOW THEY TREAT AUTISTIC CHARACTERS
Disclaimer before I go in; iām using the global translations and the english voice acting as I am on the global server lol. This may affect some things but hopefully not a lot! Also iām using this video [https://youtu.be/ygAkz4L2AMo?si=elrUeXGompMKYXUJ] for my proof and will provide timestamps!
Horropedia is one of the most loved characters in Reverse:1999 (bc haha funny autistic guy) , yet I literally see no serious posts discussing his character or even going into his characterā even at a basic level. Iāve kinda been off to the side observing how the fandom treats Horropedia and it makes me question if people actually like him or some alternate version of him. Yeah sure this is a problem in every fandom but Iām too attached to Horropedia and iām going to make it everyoneās problem.
There's all sorts of mischaracterisations of him where his autism is reduced to him being an āassholeā and āuncaringā, or that he is some funny reddit meme sona when thatās the case at all! Every other character gets to have serious posts yet when it comes to a very blatant autistic coded character, suddenly no one knows how to act despite the fact the fandom (going off of the twitter fandom here) prides itself on neurodivergency; so Iām here to dump a ton of analysis on Horropedia using ingame sources as proof as well as my own knowledge (as someone who is autistic myself), whilst also debunking mischaracterisations of him. Iām also doing this as I donāt think people treat Horropedias autistic coding seriously, seeing it as silly and thus ignoring all of his character.
Jumping straight in, Horropedia is not an asshole and is actually quite a caring character, even if he doesnāt show it conventionally. To me, itās quite obvious that he cannot understand people at an emotional level, and always relies on his logical way of thinking no matter the situation; for example, when he broke Blonneys camera, he clearly does not understand why she is mad/upset and instead tries to comfort her logically rather than emotionally. Even when Blonney is very much showing she is mad, Horropedia cannot process that and cannot understand until she actually explains it [Part 5 54:07-57:20]. I can see why people may see it as an asshole move since he tells her to be āreasonableā over the camera breaking, though it is clear that this is another one of his autistic traits as people with autism have a hard time connecting with othersā in an empathetic way(which can come off as being blunt and uncaring) yet no one seems to mention that. Despite this, he still offers her to buy her a new camera once Blonney vents out to Jessica, coming to terms with what he did and making it up to her. [Part 12 2:10:37]
Adding onto the last point, Horropedia shows concern and care multiple times throughout the story. Even if he is bad at comforting people, he still tries to acknowledge what is wrong in regards to the situation. Iām trying to keep this short as I donāt necessarily think this is due to his autism but a cool detail I found with the English voice acting is that his tone gets softer when heās more genuine (it could be seen as masking but shrug. Not too sure on this one as I'm making this point to show he does care in his own way.) He constantly makes sure everyone is safe and goes out of his way to protect others [Part 4 51:08 , Part 6 1:16:18-1:16:39], which is a small detail I think people gloss over. Itās just nice seeing Horropedia care for others in his own way since I struggle with expressing affection / emotions like him.
Back to his way of thinking, itās practically plastered everywhere that he thinks in a logical way and takes everything at face value no matter what, which is a trait associated with autism. At the very start of the very event, he even breaks down Vertins joke and still a conclusion was that she wasnāt the person he was looking for (knowing full well she was) [Part 1 11:06-11:50]. Horropedia also explains things at face valueā in a basic and straightforward way no matter what it is, which is another example of not truly understanding things at an emotional level! [Part 9 1:42:45-1:43:09]This does not mean he does not consider the consequences of a situation, and Horropedia actively avoids situations where it poses a threat / harm to others. Mentioning this to point out how some people in the fandom treat him like he is stupid?ā Despite how he is the basic definition of a nerd with references to it all over his character and voice lines! Yes, he could be seen as careless considering he goes to Green Lake just like that with no approval, but he certainly isnāt oblivious to dangers around him. Horropedia himself explains that he is into horror movies because of how illogical they are(stating how it is like a puzzle), not necessarily the fear of them; so it makes no sense for Horropedia to directly put himself or others in harm's way.
Still relating to his way of thinking, Horropedia uses his horror logic so he can understand situations around him. He directly links back to his special interest to understand thingsā and to an extent othersā better, special interests are a trait exclusive to autistic people! By using his horror special interest, he can understand the world better from his perspective. I don't even need to get examples of this because throughout the Green Lake event he makes references and links to horror movies, basing predictions on what to do in order to survive in the stereotypical like scene of Green Lake. Horropedia is full of reasoning, and despite his ādebatable mannersā (thanks Sonetto),he is not always too absurd with his predictions. It baffles me that people treat Horropedia like he is some happy-go-lucky kid, running head first into danger; he takes the time to understand a given situation in a way he would understand before doing anything.
Another really obvious thing is that he canāt understand social cues, or the body languages of others at all. Essentially he cannot read the room. The whole āI know the rules of social courtesyā [Part 12 2:19:19] line doesnāt necessarily mean he understands social cuesā rules are (usually) based in logic and reasoning, and not emotions. Social courtesy just means the rules of society (or the foundation in this case? eh), and Horropedia knows he HAS to abide by the rules or else he will be in trouble. Something seen as ābasicā and āsimpleā to people considered ānormalā by society may be hard to grasp by people who do not benefit from society (autistic people). Horropedia understands the ālogical reasoningā of how someone acts but he canāt connect with or understand someone elseās emotional responses. Literally look at most of his interactions with the film crew and Blonney, Jessica even steps in at one point to stop him from making the fight between Jason and Blonney worse [Part 6 1:11:38]; and even then he tries to use logic to break down the situation. Horropedia canāt pick up on social cues for the life of him, including body language and tone.
Smaller point here but I have a feeling Horropediaās tone is hard to understand to some of the characters. Tooth Fairy couldnāt tell if Horropedia was joking towards the end of the event , where he shows off his āsense of humourā. Nothing much to add here I just found that really interestingā¦
Ive rinsed out all the notes Iāve taken on Horropedias autistic coding so farā¦ā¦.. feel free to add on moreā¦.. I may have gotten some things wrong because I have been working on this for a few hours straight. Surprisingly I still have more to analyse outside of his autism so if people are interested let me know bc iām desperate .
TLDR: horropedia is autistic thanks for reading.

AK! Jason Todd x Vigilante! Reader (pt. 1)
{Lots of setting up for the story. Fighting. Backstory. lol} wc: 785 Synopsis: You're a vigilante siding with Batman, currently on a mission to assist in finding the identity of the Arkham Knight. Amidst the events of the Fear City plan conducted by the Arkham Knight and Scarecrow, you find yourself being taken hostage by the Knight himself. Though he seems oddly gentle...and familiar...
(Y/N) leaps from building to building, grappling her way across Gotham in homes of finding a lead to the Arkham Knight. She was determined to find something, anything. Not only could Bruce not get any leads as to his identity, but neither could Lucius and Alfred. And Barbara was kidnapped by the Knight...so of course that meant she couldn't help. Barbara. (Y/N)'s friend. (Y/N) shudders as she tries to block out what horrible things could be done to her. She stayed focused as she moves.
"I'm closer...I have to be...", (Y/N) mutters to herself as she looks down at the tank drones. The Knight must be nearby, if this area is so important to protect. "What are you hiding....who are you...", (Y/N) mutters as she thinks of the next part of her plan.
"Don't sound too sure...", a robotic voice states behind (Y/N).
She immediately whips her head around and stands up straight. There he was, the Knight. (Y/N) takes out her weapons, two kunai, one in each hand.
"Easy...not that you'd put up much anyways...", the Knight taunts as he slowly steps forward, "What are you anyways...a wannabe vigilante? A little kid hoping to get in the game? Hm...Deathkiss?"
(Y/N) furrows her brows at this. She's the vigilante Deathkiss to others, but to the Knight it feels that he sees her as a joke. It takes her back to old memories. (Y/N) was a poor Gotham kid on the street...no one to help her but one person. Her only friend, Jason Todd. (Y/N) is smart, capable, but too sweet for her own good. Jason is kind, and is willing to use his kindness to fight for those he cares about. That meant her.
When Bruce took them in it was only Jason who trained to be a vigilante, Robin. (Y/N) hung back. Jason tried to get her to show interest in being a vigilante as well.
"You could be something intimidating but sweet...maybe like Deathkiss or something...", he told her one night as they stargazed on the roof of Wayne manor.
(Y/N) didn't take up the vigilante life until Jason was kidnapped by the Joker...and killed. She swore she'd avenge him somehow, and that she'd protect other's from horrible fates that villians may lead them too. All under the name her best friend chose...Deathkiss.
(Y/N) can't speak as she stares the Knight down. Her thoughts of Jason affecting her. Amidst the silence, she takes her chance. She dashed to the Knight, grunting as she sweep kicks at his feet. She then throws a punch at the chin, hoping to stun him slightly.
The Knight dodges skillfully, grabbing Deathkiss's fist. He's quick, skilled.
"So he did teach you. Batman taught you how to fight.", the Knight says as he grabs Deathkiss's other wrist, "I know all the tricks. And I know you won't last in a fight with me. You're weak. You don't wanna fight...", he taunts.
"Don't tell me what I want!" Deathkiss retorts as she lifts her legs, kicking off of the Knight and backflipping away, landing on her feet yet low to the ground.
"You've learned a bit haven't you? I'm surprised...", the Knight says in his usual calm, almost cocky voice. "Maybe you could take out my men...but not me...and I don't feel like dancing this dance for long."
With a swift motion, the Knight dashes forward and takes hold of Deathkiss.
"Let go!", she calls out.
"Sorry sweetheart.", the Knight says without even feigning pity. He grabs her by the waist with one arm, his hands clinging to her side. With his other hand, he places pressure on a specific area of her neck.
"No-"
Everything fades to black. Her body goes limp as she's placed in a deep sleep.
The Knight gently placed Deathkiss in his arms. Holding her bridal style. He looks down at her. There she is. (Y/N). His best friend. His first love. His...everything. Then came the dilemma.
He knew he shouldn't have kidnapped her. This wasn't part of the plan. This wasn't like kidnapping Barbara, to get to Bruce. This was selfish, all for him. He just...missed her.
But she's a vigilante, working with Batman. What would she think when she woke up? Would she look at him with those kind eyes, and admire him like she did before his death? Not only is Jason a dead man walking...but he's a threat to Gotham and Bruce.
He pushed these thoughts aside and shook his head as he takes her to his base. Safe...with him.
a/n: super rushed ik aaa i havent written anything in so long but if yall like it or have ideas plz lmk until next time!!!

ā Venus Through the Houses šŖ· (the third house)
The manifestations of having the planet Venus through the houses in the natal chart, in a wider perspective, without being predictable about it.
DISCLAIMER 1: I am NOT a professional astrologer, traditional or modern. I study astrology for a few years, and this is a collection of what I've learned, and what I've seen manifested in real life.
DISCLAIMER 2: Use caution and discernment when reading, and understand that this post is about one isolated planet in one isolated house in a chart. There are 12 houses, 6 major planets, 3 outer planets, and at least 5 possible major aspects between planets in your chart. Those detail can and WILL affect how the energy shows up in your life personally, so it might not apply to you. I'm not saying you are like all this, but some of it could apply to you or someone you know. Everybody is unique.
ššššššššššššššššš
At a base level, all planets lend their energy to whatever house they touch, regardless of the individual nature of having that planet in a specific sign, degree and aspect. Mars will inject vigour and energy into the themes of that house. Saturn will make those themes challenging, but maturing and responsible. Moon envelops the themes of the house it sits in with emotional depth and sensitivity. So, naturally, Venus imbues whatever house it's located in with love and passion. And the 3H is the house of communications. So Venus here has A LOT to say, and she wants you to hear it.
A 3H Venus will be passionate about communication and exchange. It wants something to tell. If Venus in the 1st is the planet of love at her flashiest, and the 2nd house Venus debuts her at her most luxurious, on the third house Venus is at the most excited she could possibly be, like a curious child at the playground. The poets who wrote stories about Venus definitely had her blessings in their 3H.
Venus in the 3rd house šš£ļø
The good š:
Passion for communication, often being very verbally expressive of the things they love.
LOOOOVES to talk and will not shut up if they feel comfortable. It's adorable, cause they look like overexcited kids.
Popular around the neighborhood. The type to talk to everybody and know everybody.
Very much easy charmers. They can win people over with their words.
This one is random and may be niche, but it's not uncommon for them to either drive a motorcycle or like riding bikes.
Creative minds. They can come up with speeches on the spot.
Very persuasive, only behind 7H and 1H Venuses.
Generally good personalities, if nothing is afflicted in their charts that prevents it.
Can easily make people feel like family.
Good dancers, and gymnasts.
Great storytellers.
Good listeners.
Can pull off the most diverse looks (way more than Aquarius/11H Venuses).
Youthful appearance, specially as they age.
Are often quite smart, but I've seen it manifest more as "street smarts".
Usually good friends, with high spirits.
The type of friend who will get you into places, will arrange opportunities for you, and make adventures possible, because they are the bold ones who take the lead and just go ask for things.
Good with teenagers. Teens tend to look up to them, as they are both somebody who's older, but youthful at the same time. This presents them with the opportunity to maintain their young heart (and mind) through interacting with younger people.
The best at staying up to date with trends. They give "TikTok Millennials" energy in the best way possible.
Could have good handwriting, good vocabulary, or just communicate in a sophisticated way.
Could have good, balanced mental health.
GREAT ears. They pick up on things they hear very quickly, that goes from learning languages and having good pitch when singing, to overhearing people's conversations from faraway distances lol.
The bad š :
Unstoppable yappers. Wiil. Not. Shut up. Even, and specially, when they really, really should.
Gossippers.
Verbal bullies, when expressed in a negative energy. Will mock people just because they think it's funny. The type to bully you harder if you cry.
Could be competitive with people who are smart, to a point in wich they will try to ruin a person's reputation just to prove to THEMSELVES that they were the smarter one.
Another possible manipulative position for Venus. And these are scary, cause they can be sociopathic about it.
The type to say "oops! š" after purposely messing people up.
Could struggle with unwanted weight loss, or difficulty gaining weight when they want to.
If gossiping is not their ā1 vice, smoking has the second highest chance to be.
WILL become cranky if overestimulated. And verbally abusive, if you keep adding to it.
Can behave like high schoolers, even after they are pretty much adults.
Mischievous.
Might have a funny habit of lying. Sorry, CREATIVELY EDITING THE TRUTH lol.
Tendency to overexplain themselves.
Bad at keeping secrets or sensitive information.
Could have ruined their fair share of friendships by flirting with their friends just for a laugh, and getting weird when the friend actually catches feelings.
Could have pretentious tendencies.
In love š:
Communication, talking, conversing, exchanging... They need it. They crave it. (Same with Gemini Venus).
If their partner shuts down or doesn't communicate their thoughts, this relationship is doomed.
Tendency to play mind games and manipulate their lover when trying to conquer them.
Will win you by ear (or be won by you). They will sweet-talk their way into any romance they set their mind on.
Likes long talks and sharing of secrets and personal stories. The only other Venus that loves discovering their lover's every secret and history more than 3H Venus is a Scorpio/8H Venus.
Needs a best friend in a lover.
Lives for the friends-to-lovers love story. And it doesn't take much to seduce them. Just be their friend first, and then make a move that catches them by surprise, like kissing them on the cheek or a closer touch when they aren't expecting. They might not show it on the outside, but inside they are running around like giddy teenagers.
This is the TRUE friends and lovers placement. Not Aquarius Venus, not 11H Venus. This one (and Gemini Venus).
Most likely to either date a friend, a friend of a friend, a neighbor, or a complete stranger they met randomly. No in-between. It's either someone from close proximity, or someone from a completely unexpected background.
Could have a difficulty admitting when they are wrong.
Could struggle with gaslighting their partner.
Could have a fear of sharing feelings and vulnerabilities, but feel betrayed if their person doesn't share theirs.
Can be "distracted" in love, sometimes hurting or offending their partner and not even noticing it's a problem they're causing.
Doesn't think flirting is cheating.
Could cause drama in the relationship just out of boredom.
Will be their lover's best buddy, and will be up for any adventure.
Will try their best to make their lover smile.
Wants to keep conversations light and fun.
Considers venting a love language, and needs their lover to listen to them retell their entire day, but also wants to hear all about their person's too.
Will not get bored of talking to people they love.
Compliments a lot. And creative or unexpected compliments too.
Excited and fun.
Fall hard for slow-burn romance, as they love being a mystery even to themselves, and the process of slowly realizing their own feelings.

Piggybacking off of your response to the previous ask, man can I just say what an utter clusterfuck the whole "gone" situation was follower-wise... i'm gonna make this about me so sorry about that, however i'm the kind of person that can't really articulate their thoughts, can't see through the layers as clearly as others and when people post a thoughtful analysis that reflects my feelings about the fic while the best thing I can come up with is something like "wow, fic goodā¤ļø" (which yeah I know is still fine but anyway) it makes me feel so much better because what is trapped in my head is articulated as I wanted to express it... that being said, seeing you explore ptsd and lance's grief like this stirred smth in me, I cried at times, so I was very excited to see people in your asks sharing their thoughts and all... And then they didn't seem to care so much about it (not all of them obvs) and at first it was like "hahah yeah.. we all want them to kiss xd lol" but then seeing you post about how people would essentially flood your asks for klance to KISS ALREADYā¢ plus with other general stuff... Idk if it was frustrating for me I can't even begin to imagine how it was for you, because this is like.. still a story, just in comic form, so yes it has an arc it need to complete. We could see the episode count from the beginning too if I remember correctly, so being so insistent about it was weird? Either way, it was a story and it was getting somewhere and spamming about when your ship will be canon is kind of annoying. So sorry this happened to you and so happy you pushed through! I binge it on the regular!
I feel like I could do a Ted Talk on the etiquette of commenting at this point, through my own experience, and also reading comments my friends have received on their work.
But essentially what it boils down to is two things:
Creators put a lot of work into their stories, and
They choose to write stories their way
The way that I write fan content (both fics and comics) is because these stories and these subjects are important to me. Some of them are very personal, too. And I know I am not the only creator who chooses to write this way.
Obviously the way I reacted to the "just kiss already" comments may have seemed like an overreaction from the outside (I thank you for being understanding in your ask btw).
But the message those constant comments were sending was a very clear one of:
All the thought/time/work you put into this story does not matter
Everyone who ever told you to "just get over it" was right
Grief can be a very physical and powerful thing.
Losing someone you love leaves you with this excess of love and affection that now has no where to go. You used to have a place to direct it, and when that place is suddenly gone, it takes a while to learn how to function again; to redistribute that love.
It's something that never goes away, it just gets manageable. And it's definitely not something you can "just get over."
I'm not saying I'm the greatest storyteller of all time, but I was tired of reading books and watching movies and shows where the characters never felt the aftermath of a loss. They all just moved onto the next episode or the next chapter like nothing ever happened.
And I do think it's important to tell stories like this in fanfiction. Because many readers are younger. Many readers rely on reading fanfiction because it's free. Many readers need hope and catharsis. And getting to read about their favorite characters go through terrible things but realistically come out on the other side is, to me, very important. Because the stories we read - no matter if they are free or published works - can stick with us for the rest of our lives.
This is why it was such a big deal for me. Because I was trying to tell a story that said "Please take your time to get over things. Please know that it's okay if you don't immediately snap back to the way things were. Please know that it's okay to feel whatever it is you are feeling." And getting comment after comment that said the exact opposite was honestly just crushing.
I would take a "wow, fic good" comment any day. Because it acknowledges what has been done, instead of demands things to speed up to suit someone else's needs.
And, on a slightly more petty note... it was a klance fan comic. It's not like they weren't going to kiss. They just weren't going to do it in the middle of an argument where it wouldn't have stuck!
(I do also think it's funny that there's a perfect comic example of a kiss happening too early, before communication which happened right around the same time as Gone. And for the record, she's gotten way more and way worse comments than I did, so that's something worth mentioning, too.)
The point is that some stories are very personal to the author and very important to certain members of the audience. Of course no single story will be for everyone, but just because it is not going a certain way does not mean it's okay to demand it be changed.

Hey! I love your works, have been a reader for a while now, and Iāve been poking through some of your older stuff and just read the Eternella series. I thought it was very hot and very interesting but also, very sad? That may not be the right wordā¦ At least sort of melancholy which made the experience a very wild horny-melancholy ride. It was a surprising sort of emotion to see in your fiction (snd it feels like objects of affection might have a similar tone? from the feelings itās stirred up in my chest at least) and I guess I was wondering if the sadness was part of that space opera vibe and the reality of Riskās existence or if the sadness was there to add onto and supplement the sex in some ways? And Iāve always found your erotica quite rich, and Iāve seen, you know, a lot of erotica that plays on horror in fun ways, mystery, etc., but sadness and melancholy just not nearly as much, so I was wondering what goes into a decision like that for the tone of something youāre writing? Because I think Eternella is really tonally different from, like, the Chique series lol, and thatās an interesting thing about your writing for me at least, is the mystery of the tone of your story?
that's a really interesting take of E7, tbh! i really don't know that i would use melancholy to describe the tone of that one, but i can maybe see how you got there? in the way that risk is so effectively isolated and excluded from what's going on around him, things we as readers are privy to that he is not. his family doesn't like him and he doesn't like his family, turn is clearly manipulating him into something, he's being used in engel's weird sex game. i can see a tragic read of that.
man. i was cooking with eternella. maybe someday i'll reboot it a third time as a novel or something.
anyway. i think melancholy comes about as a result of wanting to tell a certain kind of story and prioritizing that story over the fact that the work is also erotica. does that make sense? like, you're totally right that there is a sadness to objects of affection. it is a sort of tragedy about the plight of these woman-shaped things that, though they're truly incapable of sorrow, we project it upon them just as much as we'd project our desires. i'm not shying away from that even as i'm writing about them getting railed.
objects of affection might make you cry, and might make you feel disgust. as long as it makes you feel something, in addition to the eroticism, i'll have succeeded.
but overall--i dunno! you've given me something to think about for sure.

Unnamed Twomp fic
Ok so first TWOMP fic, I'm posting it here first because it needs a name for Ao3 and I dont have a good name yet. Each chapter will be a reblog of this one by me so keep an eye out, I am going to post the first two tonight.
Tags that it would probably have on Ao3: Angst and hurt/comfort, Argos/Mr Plant, Medical stuff, chainsaw Argos, bad medical decisions -Or something like that at least, idk Ao3 tags at the top of my head.
I wrote a LOT of notes to share with this. I'll uh, I'll just let them do the talking, chapters will be reblogged from this post as I decide I want to. When I post to Ao3 Kudos are appreciated but comments are what really help.
Notes:Ā
I am sick and havenāt been able to sleep for the past two nights except for a nyquill induced nap yesterday. I want to write but I donāt want to deal with 8+ characters in a scene, solution? Angsty hurt/comfort of everyoneās favorite murder boyfriends. This is my first TWOMP fic so itās going to be a little iffy on the characterization I think, Iām testing the waters. If I over explain stuff in the notes itās because Iām practically delirious. I will continue writing this until such time as I am no longer sick, which may be a while
I think Mr. Plant normally has some vines, but they are vestigial (Like how whales still have leg bones or humans have tailbones) and donāt really serve much of a purpose and mostly come from his neck where he turns from plant to humanoid.
A witchesā broom is a growth on a plant that can be caused by fungal, bacterial, or viral infections but can also be the result of random genetic mutation (Fasciation). It causes patches of extremely dense, unregulated growth. Viral witches' brooms often have no cure, the only thing that can really be done is remove the plant to prevent it from spreading, rose rosette virus being one of them. If left untreated, the dense growth of the plant will catch water and bacteria and start to rot, slowly killing the plant.Ā
Anyway, pretty horrific for a plant. This story basically expands upon that real life disease but reimagining it in a way that could affect a plant-person thing.
No, Argos was absolutely not invited. He made a copy of Mr. Plantās key because picking the lock got too tiresome after the twenty-somethingth time.
You see, I never watched Happy Tree Friends, and I only saw one episode of DHMIS. I was watching a secret third horrific thing in middle school, Cyriak videos. And oooweee, it shows sometimes.
I think Argos went to the library a lot before getting obsessed with Mr.Plant not in the nerdy computer geek way but with the same vibes as a kid who goes to the library during lunch to distract them from the fact that they donāt have any friends and as such has basically read every book there.
The Argos chainsaw photoshoot lives in my head and the bastard doesnāt even pay rent.
This was started before the void 1 stuff came out and I was so right, wasnāt I? I predicted void 1 mutated things, I predicted Ghost adding Respite to the setlist, just call me the fanfiction prophet.
(other note: I started this like 6 months ago, I have had time to edit since I was sick lol)

Even Sally who people love for being so āniceā to MC gives a love that has made them regress into a person who lacks independence and real understanding of basic life skills. An interesting question for that, is any kind of love ok as long as itās love? Do people easily accept a love just because itās default and thereās no other choice? Thatās like the question I wanna try to answer with Sally and MC and really there is perhaps no wrong answer because Iām not a judge
Other people might play it differently, but as a reader I think that it makes sense for someone in MC's situation who hasn't been shown much love/affection/care to be grateful for Sally's love (I thought those options in the update and how MC explained them to Dr Madorna was really interesting!)
MC was ostracised from their peers likely in part due to their own actions (apart from Nia), and their other family membersā feelings towards them seems to range from indifference, fear, anger/hate, to disgust. When you receive so little you will accept what scraps you get, even if it's accompanied by toxicity or abuse (that you may not even recognise). I think that's one of the reasons why people with abusive parents are more likely to be in abusive relationships (or be abusive themselves), because it's harder for them to recognise what a healthy relationship is.
I do think that as the story goes on, as the MC develops their friendships, as they spend more time with people outside of their messed up family, as they develop more of a personal identity & worldview, etc. then my MC might start seeing Sally in a different light. But then again it does seem like the MC has some self-awareness of how much Sally has done for them. I could see them trying to appease him out of a sense of āhe sacrificed for me, so I owe himā, which feels very āchild of immigrant parentsā lol.
You could also say that without Sallyās flawed love, the MC would have been in an even more dire position. Maybe they did need Sally to give them a fighting chance in life, but now they need to spread their wings.
Hahaha as a child of immigrant parents I liked that line
But yeah you touched on the question I asked, about how people in certain situations accept things others in more normal situations might not because itās the only world theyāve ever known. I really liked the options with the dr madorna scene because you can chose to be an mc who is blindly devoted to Sally, if not out of love out of a sense of eternal debt, or an mc that in a way has always hated him as they view him as a jailer, another flavour of the family but still from that family and it doesnāt help that Sally has so much pride in the family name and legacy a legacy which mc has never been able to live up to and which by the circumstances of their life placed them as a undeserving of carrying the name by those who have it.
Itās interesting to think about how would mcās life be without him, perhaps this is the best outcome or maybe they wouldāve been fine, turned out like Percy, a black sheep entirely forgotten. Maybe without Sally, mc and Percy couldāve developed that bond and supported each other. I like to think mcās chances wouldnāt have been so bad. It couldāve been better without him, couldāve been worse which is why itās so hard for mc to untangle themselves, the dinner scene was one moment where if you chose they tried, they relented but they tried which I think is important just as they doubled down and remained ever so loyal and grateful.
I see both sides, the advantages and disadvantages. What happens when an unstoppable force crashes against an unmovable object?

Reminder: I am on a posting break for new content until May 23rd so that I can focus on writing WFLT...
In the meantime, please enjoy this second installment of Unwanted: Unusables, or, chapters from the first draft that didn't make it into the final cut of the finished story! Today, I have an early version of Chapter 6: Unattached. A lot of the beginning is the same (the dinner itself), but there was a LOT I added, then removed, from the end of the chapter. Jade was going by Jewel at this point in the draft, and Tony had gifted Pocket a Ferrari Sergio as his post-Civil War apology.
Why did I scrap this section? Easy: I couldn't realistically convince myself that Nat didn't know how to drive stick shift, lol.
Since this is the whole chapter (as it was) in its entirety, it's long AF.
Enjoy!
You and Bucky arrived at the common room an hour or so later, the sound of laughter filtering out from inside.
"Sounds like it's going well," Bucky turned to you with a hopeful smile. "Try to play nice in there, okay?"
"I'm always nice," you pouted, but when Bucky gave you a pointed look, you sighed. "Fine. It goes against my better judgement," you said, adjusting the collar of Bucky's shirt, "but I'll do it for you."
The look he gave you was indiscernible. There was warmth and affection there, but also an undercurrent of sadness in it that left you unsettled. You swallowed, looking away from him. "Alright, let's get this over with," you said, putting more conviction in your voice than you felt.
He took your hand, and together you walked into the common room. It wasn't hard to spot Jewel-- she was presiding smack dab in the middle of the room, telling some story that had Sam, Steve, Rhodey, Thor, and even Bruce all at rapturous attention.
"I'm going to go introduce myself real quick, then be right back," said Bucky, letting go of your hand and heading over to where Jewel had was holding court. The temperature of the air seemed to drop ten degrees without the warmth of his presence by your side.
You watched as he made his way over to stand beside Steve. In seemingly no time at all, Steve was making the introductions. Bucky took Jewel's hand, and to your surprise, he bent over and kissed her knuckles. Your mind's eye took you back to the day you'd met him, when you'd pulled your own hand back after he'd refused to even shake it.
Jewel demurred and looked away from Bucky, bashfully, before putting a hand on his chest and saying something that made Bucky laugh and caused his cheeks to blush.
"Careful, you glare any harder, you're liable to bore a hole straight through him," Natasha said, coming up alongside of you.
"What if I aim for her, instead?" you asked, reaching for the tumbler of alcohol she offered you and taking a sip to distract yourself.
"What happened to no-strings-attached, friends who happen to fuck?" Nat asked with a smirk. "Don't tell me you've grown strings, Pocket."
You looked away from the scene in front of you. "There might be some growing of string, in theory," you mumbled to her. Nat was the only person you had confided in regarding your arrangement with Bucky. Of course, your friend had been thrilled that there had been something going on between the two of you, but she'd been more concerned about protecting your heart-- was this the safest thing for you to do? You assured her at the time you'd be fine, but now...?
"String Theory?" asked Tony, popping up behind you both with a glass of whiskey. "Seems like a heavy topic of conversation for a social gathering, ladies."
"How'd the interview go?" you asked, hoping to move the topic of conversation as far away from Bucky as possible, now that Tony was there.
"She's everything you said, and more," said Tony with a sad shake of his head. "She put on a good show, though. Cap was eating right out of her hand."
Disappointment coursed through you at his words. "Looks like he's not the only one," you murmured as you watched Jewel let out a coquettish giggle at something Bucky said.
You kept up your conversation with Tony to keep yourself from openly staring, but it was hard to concentrate on anything else. Your heart sank every time they shared a laugh or a joke, or Jewel leaned into Bucky ever so slightly. You found yourself tensing each time Bucky reached out and put a hand on Jewel's arm or shoulder in response to something she said-- all too familiar gestures that you'd grown accustomed to being on the receiving end of, not watching him impart on others from a distance. So much for his "be right back."
You hated yourself for feeling this way.
Eventually, Tony's personal chef, Raul, called everyone to the table for dinner and the little gathering around Jewel broke up. Normally, you would be excited-- you loved it when Raul cooked special dinners for the team, but tonight you were on edge. Following Nat and Tony to the table, you froze in your tracks while you watched Bucky pull back a chair-- your chair, the one you had sat in, next to Bucky, for every meal for the last year-- for Jewel, pushing it in for her as she sat down.
Your heart felt like it was being ripped in half. Your brain automatically began thinking up excuses you could make for leaving the room, but you knew that would only make things worse for you in the long run.
The air around you suddenly felt as though it had grown colder. Everyone around you had noticed Bucky pull out a chair for Jewel-- silently declaring to all that tonight, she was the one he wanted next to him, and not you, despite your unspoken ritual. Sam shot you a sympathetic look, and Steve, who had been getting ready to sit at Bucky's other side, moved to offer you his chair, instead, as if that would make up for Bucky's slight.
You grimaced and silently shook your head at Steve, not wanting to draw any more attention to the awkward situation you found yourself in. Instead, you made your way to the only remaining seat at the table next to Nat-- directly across from Jewel and Bucky.
As you sat down, Jewel looked up at you with a bright smile. "Hi," she said, voice like honey. "I don't think we had a chance to meet yet. I'm Jewel, but you can call me 'Vixen.'"
You looked at her, confusion leaking into your features.
"I thought the two of you met when you gave Vixen her tour earlier," Bucky said, apparently remembering that you did exist, after all.
"Oh, no," Jewel (you absolutely refused to refer to her as 'Vixen,' even in your own head) said with a dismissive laugh, "they had some little bitch of an intern give me my tour. I should actually complain to Stark about her, she had an attitude."
"No, that was definitely me," you said, fighting to keep the annoyance out of your tone, "attitude and all." You had literally wasted three and a half hours of your life escorting this woman around the Tower and she couldn't be bothered to remember you? Jewel didn't even have the decency to look chastised at calling you bitchy to your face.
"They let interns have dinner with the Avengers?" she asked in disbelief, instead. "Have to say, I thought it be a little more... elite."
"Pocket's not an intern," Steve said with a laugh, as though it were the most ridiculous thing he'd ever heard, and you were grateful to him for coming to your defense. "She's an Avenger, just like the rest of us." You gave Steve a warm, appreciative smile.
"Thanks, Cap," you said, truly touched he had called you an Avenger.
"Well, she's more like Avenger-adjacent," Bucky amended. The words shouldn't have stung-- it was how you had referred to yourself hundreds of times, but you tended to reserve it for your low moments, when you were feeling unequal to Earth's mightiest heroes. Hearing the words come out of Bucky's mouth, as if he, too, shared in your belief that you were inferior to the rest of them... well, that fucking hurt.
Steve let out a surprised laugh. "Pocket may not have enhanced physical abilities, but she's brilliant. She's an expert in strategy, she's got a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Computation, and she's got a black belt in Krav Maga. It's no exaggeration to say I'd be dead a couple dozen times over if I hadn't had her at my six. If anything, I think it makes her more important than the rest of us. We're here because of the physical things we can do; Pocket's essential to the team because of how she thinks. We're replaceable, Pocket's one-of-a-kind."
You were speechless at Steve's words, your throat tightening with the emotional lump that had formed there. That may have been the kindest, sweetest thing anyone had said about you, ever, especially on the heels of Bucky's comment. Catching his eye, you mouthed a silent thank you, wishing you could convey how much his words meant to you. He winked at you in acknowledgement.
"I just meant that we try to keep Pocket away from the dangerous stuff," Bucky backpedaled, weakly, in your opinion. "Can't risk her getting hurt." He smiled at you, but you just stared back, impassively, until he looked away, embarrassed. He knew you only called yourself 'Avenger-adjacent' when you were being hard on yourself. He fucking knew it, because he had told you to knock it off a hundred times.
"So, Pocket's an interesting name," Jewel said, and you were momentarily grateful to her for trying to move the conversation on to something less embarrassing for you. "Did your parents, like, hate you or something?" she continued with a giggle. Well, that was a short-lived respite.
"Yeah, they did, actually," you said, completely straight-faced, "but the feeling was mutual, so no love lost there."
Jewel's mouth dropped open in shock and you had the distinct impression you'd ruined whatever power play she'd been trying to pull on you.
Nat broke into laughter next to you, and soon everyone else around you was joining in. While only a select few at the table knew the full extent of what your parents had put you through, it was no secret that you had experienced abuse at their hands, and it was second nature for you to use dark humor to help you cope with it.
As the laughter died down, the small talk started up again. You were thankful for the distraction, but your appetite was gone, which was a shame, because Raul had done an excellent job. You pushed your food around your plate, occasionally nodding along as though you were paying attention to the conversations around you.
You tried to ignore the little glances and gestures that Jewel directed at Bucky, but your eyes kept flickering over to them. You couldn't help but notice the way his body leaned in slightly towards hers when they talked. Did he do that when he spoke to you? He hadn't even said a word to you since the horrible Avengers-adjacent comment.
"So, Bucky," Jewel said, her voice low and flirty, "handsome super hero like you, you got a girlfriend?" Your eyes snapped up, watching him, sure he was going to look to you, make eye contact. Something to acknowledge what was between you, that would make you feel like you were still in the same room, hell, on the same fucking planet, as him. But he didn't.
Bucky grinned, running a hand through his hair.
"Nah, no girlfriend," he said, glancing over at Jewel. "But I'm definitely open to the idea." You had been stabbed in the abdomen on a mission once, and that hurt less than hearing the words that came out of Bucky's mouth, and you had to resist the urge to get up and leave the room at that moment.
"Really, man?" Sam asked from where he sat on the other side of Natasha, his voice hard in disbelief. The atmosphere in your corner of the table had shifted. Natasha, Steve, and Sam all stared at Bucky with looks ranging from incredulity to flat out disgust. Maybe the two of you hadn't been as secretive as you'd thought.
You couldn't bring yourself to even look at Bucky anymore. It felt like a betrayal, the way his eyes had met Jewel's and not yours. You tried to focus on the conversation around you, but all you could hear were your own thoughts. How could he be so callous as to openly flirt with someone else in front of you? Had you meant nothing to him?
You took a deep breath, trying to steel yourself against the pain that was slowly building inside of you. You knew that the two of you were never anything official, but you had thought that there was something there between you.
As the dinner continued, you couldn't shake the misery that had settled in your chest. You excused yourself with no explanation, abruptly getting up from the table, and made your way back to your room. Once you were alone, you let out a shaky breath, tears streaming down your face.
How could you have been so stupid? You had let yourself believe that there could be something real between you and Bucky, but clearly, you had been wrong. He was interested in Jewel and you were just a convenient friend. Being kept in a holding pattern until something better came along.
You collapsed onto your bed, burying your face in your pillow as sobs wracked your body. How could you even face him now, knowing that he had no real interest in you beyond your friendship, after all the things you had done together? You didn't know if you could bear being in the same room with him, pretending like everything was okay between the two of you.
As you lay there, lost in your thoughts, you barely registered the sound of your phone buzzing from your bedside table. Picking it up, you saw you had a new message from Nat.
Do you want me to kill them?
You wiped away your tears, a small smile tugging at the corner of your lips. Leave it to Natasha to offer such a straightforward solution. Despite your heartache, you couldn't help but appreciate her loyalty and fierce protectiveness.
You typed back:
No, as tempting as it might be. Thank you for offering, but I don't want you sent away for double homicide.
Her response was almost instantaneous:
I'm insulted you assume I'd get caught :)
The smiley face at the end was too much, and you actually laughed. You were so grateful to have her as your friend.
Thanks for having my back, Natty.
Any and every time, Pocket. You know that <3
Other texts started trickling in from the rest of your family. Everyone checking in to make sure you were okay, since you had left the table so suddenly and without giving a reason.
But none came from Bucky.
Your suite suddenly felt too small and hot-- you needed to get out, go somewhere that wasn't covered in memories of Bucky so that you could breathe. There was only one thing you did that always helped clear your head. You needed to go dancing.
You changed your clothes for the third time today, opting for a pair of skintight, red leather pants and a black halter top. You did your hair and put on some makeup-- just enough to mask that you'd been crying, but still enough to turn a man's head.
Shoving your phone, ID, and credit card into your back pocket, you left your room and headed back to the common room. You could have just texted Nat to ask her if she wanted to come with you, but you wanted to see Bucky's reaction to how you looked, if he even had one at all.
You were surprised to find the common room far emptier than you'd left it a little over an hour ago. It seemed as though, once dinner had ended, the gathering had broken up and people had started going their own way. Glancing around, you saw Nat standing by a window, looking out over the Manhattan skyline, but Bucky and Jewel were nowhere to be seen. You tried to ignore the rock that had taken up residence in your stomach.
"Natty," you called, getting her attention. She met you halfway across the room, a large grin spread across her face.
"Damn, girl," she let out a low whistle as she assessed your outfit. "You trying to give Barnes a heart attack?" she asked.
"No," you said, "I want to go dancing. I need to get out of my head. You want to come?"
"Absolutely, if only to keep you from making any decisions you might regret in the morning." She paused, assessing you. "He's walking her out, by the way. In case you were wondering where they were."
You had, but your stomach soured at the knowledge, all the same.
Down in the lobby, you were just about to call an Uber for you and Nat when you spotted Bucky standing off to the side with Jewel. They were standing far too close together for your liking. You hoped you could sneak by without attracting their attention, but Jewel caught sight of the two of you and began waving you over.
"Natasha!" she called (okay, so maybe she wasn't waving you over). "Come join us!"
Nat gave you a questioning look, silently asking what you wanted to do.
"Might as well," you muttered. "Night's already gone mostly to hell."
You and Nat made your way over to where Jewel and Bucky were standing.
"Did you come to say goodbye?" Jewel asked Nat, the eagerness in her voice palpable.
"Uh, no," Nat replied, obviously confused. "Pocket and I are heading out. We're going dancing."
"Oh. My. God." Jewel practically started jumping up and down. "Bucky, we should go dancing with her!" It wasn't lost on either you or Natasha that Jewel seemed to be purposefully excluding you from the conversation. Bucky, unsurprisingly, didn't seem to notice.
"Sorry," you said, suddenly struck with inspiration, "but the car's only a two-seater. Maybe next time."
Nat raised a questioning eyebrow at you as you picked your phone out of your pocket and dialed the Tower's garage. "Hey, Carl, it's Pocket.... Good, thanks... you?... Listen, can you have someone bring my Sergio to the front entrance? I'll be taking it out tonight... I know ... Great... thanks!" You ended the call and looked to Nat. "They'll bring the car up in just a minute."
Nat couldn't hide the grin that had spread across her face. "Finally! I have been dying to get my ass into that car forever!
"What's a Sergio?" Jewel asked. "I've never heard of it before."
"I wouldn't have expected you to," Nat said, giving Jewel a tight, fake smile. "Seeing as how Ferrari only ever made six of them."
"Pocket," Bucky said, the first words he'd spoken to you since you and Nat had arrived, "can I talk to you for a minute?" He took your arm and led you away from Nat and Jewel to a more secluded section of the lobby.
"What are you doing?" he asked, voice low and with a hint of warning behind it.
"Going dancing with Nat," you said simply.
"Come on, you never drive that car. You're too scared of damaging it. So, how come the first time you decide to take it for a spin is right in front of Jewel?"
"What are you insinuating, Bucky?" you asked defensively. He looked at you as though you were a child lying about who broke Grandma's favorite vase.
"You're pissed about the intern comment, so you want to flaunt how much money you make. That's really not like you, Pocket. I'm disappointed."
You were physically taken aback by his words. "You honestly think I'd do something like that?" you asked, incredibly offended he could think such a thing of you.
"I didn't think so, but..." he let the rest of the statement hang in the air.
"I called for the fucking car because I didn't want her just inviting herself to join Nat and me," you snapped. "It has absolutely nothing to do with showing off how much money I have."
Bucky ran his hands through his hair in frustration. "God, Pocket, would it kill you to be nice to her for just a minute? I don't understand why you have it out for her so badly."
"That girl has been nothing but nasty to me all day," you said through gritted teeth. "And if you haven't noticed that by now, nothing I say is going to make you see it." God, you were so disappointed in him. The hurt and betrayal you'd felt earlier had subsided and now you just felt... sad. Deflated. "I don't want to argue with you, Buck. Especially not about her. So, can we just agree to disagree on this, and Nat and I can be on our way? I'm sure you have more important things you'd rather be doing than giving me the third degree, anyway."
He crossed his arms, giving you a hard stare. "What's that supposed to mean?"
Tilting your head, you pursed your lips and gave him a look. "Really? Everyone noticed it, Bucky. Everyone."
"Pocket!" Nat called out to you, preventing Bucky from responding to your insinuation. "Car's here!"
With a heavy sigh, you began to make your way to the front doors. "See you later, Barnes," you called over your shoulder. You were more than ready to get out of there and lose yourself in the music.
*
Hours later, you were coated in a sheen of sweat from dancing and completely and utterly shitfaced. You hadn't intended to get drunk, let alone this drunk, but once the alcohol started numbing your feelings, all you wanted to do was drown your emotions in it. Now, you were sitting in a booth in the club, head pressed against the wall, fighting to keep your eyes open. Nat had taken your phone and was talking to someone.
"Hey, it's Natasha. Can you do me a solid and meet up with us? ... Pocket's plastered and I don't know how to drive stick. ... It means I can't get her car home. ... She already shares her location with you, right? So just take an Uber. ... You can drive her back to the Tower and I'll take the Uber home. ... Did you forget how she dragged your ass home when you were drunk on Thor's Asgardian shit? ... I'd say you owe her. ... Text her phone when you get here; I'm holding onto it. ... Good, see you in a bit." She hung up and bent down so she was at eye level with you.
"Sweetie," she said gently, "don't be mad at me, but I called Bucky to come get you and bring your car home."
You scrunched up your face in disgust. "Bucky? Ew. I'm mad at him. He sucks."
"I know, honey, but he's the only other person I know who can drive stick who's awake at this hour, and your car's too expensive to leave in valet parking overnight." She brushed your hair away from your face as you turned to look at her.
"What's wrong with me, Natty?" you asked her, your emotions fighting their way back up through the haze of the alcohol.
"Nothing, Pocket. Honey, nothing's wrong with you. Why would you ask me that?" Nat's voice was full of concern.
"Why doesn't he love me, then? Why am I good enough to fuck, but not good enough to love?" The last of the words came out in a choked sob.
Nat wrapped her arms around you, rubbing her hands up and down your back in a soothing pattern. "You'd have to ask him that, sweetie. I can't answer it for him."
"It's 'cause I'm just a gross, used up whore," you told her. "'s all I've ever been good for-- sticking dicks in. Nothing else."
Nat held you at arm's length so she could look you in the eye. "Pocket, stop. That's Darren talking, not you, honey. You know that's not true."
"Then why doesn't he want me?" you hiccuped. "Fuck, Natty. 'm so in love with him, it hurts." There. You finally admitted it, not just to Nat, but to yourself. You were in love with your best friend, and you had been for a while now. You'd been too afraid to acknowledge it, to open yourself up to the idea that maybe you could have a real relationship with him, and now it was too late. He'd found someone else, and you'd missed any chance you might have had.
"I know, sweetheart," she said, embracing you again. "Everyone knew and, for what it's worth, we were all sure he felt the same way."
"He doesn't, though," you sniveled into her shoulder. "And why'd it have to be her? Natty, she's so awful. He could have anyone he wanted, why did he have to pick her?"
Natasha sighed. "Because he's a guy, and he thinks with his dick," she told you. "And since dicks don't have eyes, it makes it hard for men to see what someone like Jewel's really like. Especially when Jewel doesn't want them to."
You snorted, imagining Bucky's dick with googly eyes attached to it. "His dick was the best, Nat," you bemoaned. "I'm going to miss it so much. So many times, when we were finished, I couldn't even walk after."
It was Nat's turn to snort. "That does sound like some good dick, Pocket," she admitted.
"And his tongue," you sighed. "'s so long, you wouldn't believe--"
"Okay, Pocket, I think that's enough sharing, don't you?" You pouted but didn't say anything else.
Your phone buzzed then, and you looked all around for it before you watched Nat pull it from her pocket and look at the text you'd just received."
"Alright, Magic Dick's here," she said, taking your hands in hers and hoisting you up. "Up you go."
With her help, you stumbled out of the club, only tripping over your own feet twice, which you thought was fairly impressive, given the circumstances.
Outside, Bucky was waiting for you, a stony expression on his beautiful face. God, he looked so handsome. "Magic Dick," you whispered to Nat, then burst into a fit of drunken giggles that had you tripping over yourself all over again.
Bucky was immediately at your side, taking your weight off of Nat and putting it on him.
"Well, hey there, Magic Dick," you giggled. Bucky shot Nat a look over your head.
"How much has she had to drink?" he asked her.
Nat handed the valet the claim ticket for your car. "More than she should have, that's for sure."
While you waited for the valet to bring your Sergio around, Nat leaned down to look at you. "I'm going to get in the Uber now, Pocket. Bucky's gonna take you home, alright?"
You nodded and reached out to drunkenly stroke her face. "Okay, Natty-Nat. Love you."
"Love you, too, sweetheart." She kissed your forehead and headed for the waiting Uber. Before she got in, she turned to Bucky. "Don't give her any shit tonight, okay?" she ordered before closing the door, leaving you and Bucky to wait for the car alone.
"What's going on with you tonight, Pocket?" he asked. "You haven't been acting like yourself." The car pulled up and the valet held the door open for Bucky as he slid you into the passenger seat.
"Just wanted to dance," you murmured, tilting your head sideways to look at him as he fastened your seat belt. "Makes me feel better. And then there was alcohol. Oops."
Bucky let out a sigh as he closed the passenger door and made his way around to the driver's side. He had a point; you seldom got drunk. It reminded you too much of your mother, so you only ever let yourself get a little buzzed. But tonight was a special occasion.
Bucky pulled out of the lot and onto the street. Even at the late hour, New York was still alive with activity. You leaned your head on the windowsill and watched the lights as they passed by.
"You're supposed to be on my side, you know." The words were a whisper, and you'd spoken them into the night. If he had been anyone else, he wouldn't have heard you.
But he wasn't anyone else. He was Bucky. "I am on your side, Pocket. Always."
Though it felt incredibly heavy, you turned your head to face him. He looked so beautiful driving your convertible, the lights of the city reflecting off the lines of his face, the warm night breeze tickling his hair.
"You weren't tonight." Your voice was small, reflecting every bit of the self-doubt you'd felt over the course of the evening, every ounce of the pain.
Bucky sighed, his flesh hand gripping the steering wheel of the Sergio so tightly his knuckles were white. "I don't know what you want from me, Pocket."
You let out an exhausted sigh, the beautiful drunken haze fading from your system and leaving an ache in its wake. You're stomach growled and you remembered you hadn't eaten much dinner. "Can we get something to eat," you asked him, "and go somewhere to talk?" He nodded and changed course, heading away from the Tower.
A few minutes later, he pulled the Sergio into the well-lit parking lot of a 24-hour diner. Like lightning, he was out of the car and coming around to open your door before you'd even finished fumbling with your seat belt. He reached his flesh hand down to help you step out of the car, and to your surprise, didn't let go, hold your hand as you walked into diner together. Most likely making sure you didn't drunkenly fall on your ass and embarrass him, you thought.
Inside, the perky blonde hostess gave Bucky a long, appraising look while he asked for a table in the back. Even at this time of night, the diner was bustling with patrons. The sound of chatter and clinking cutlery filled the air, competing with the soft buzz of fluorescent lights overhead. Waitstaff hurriedly made their rounds, taking orders and carrying plates with a clatter of dishes.
When you reached the back, you slid into the booth the hostess directed you to, and instead of sitting across from you, Bucky slid in next to you. The hostess handed you your menus before casting a final, lingering glance at Bucky and walked off, leaving you alone with the super soldier and not sure what exactly you were going to say to him.
You unwrapped your silverware and began playing absentmindedly with the band that had been holding your napkin in place. You could feel Bucky's eyes on you, but you didn't turn to meet his gaze until you felt the fingers of his metal hand gently reach over and brush a strand of hair away from your face.
"You wanted to talk, doll," he said, softly, "so let's talk."
You bit your lip and turned to meet his eyes, the blue of them so soft and gentle as he looked at you. "I'm not saying this to attack you, Buck," you began, gathering your thoughts, "or to try and make you feel bad, but you really made me feel like shit tonight."
He swallowed thickly, but before he could answer you, your waitress approached the booth to take your order. You ordered a chicken Caesar wrap and a glass of chocolate milk for yourself; Bucky ordered a coffee and a large basket of waffle fries.
Once the waitress had left, Bucky turned back to you, taking your hand in his metal one and lacing your fingers together. "The last thing I ever want to do is hurt you," he told you. He brought your hand to his mouth, placing a tender kiss on your knuckle. "I'm sorry. I was a dick tonight. Finding out that Jewel has the same kind of abilities as I do... it made me feel less alone, like maybe I'm not just a fucked up science experiment that went horribly wrong."
"Buck..." you began, but he continued talking.
"It doesn't excuse how I treated you tonight, but I was so eager to get to know to her, to see how she copes with it. I've only ever had Steve to talk to about it, and Steve's... well..."
"Steve's fucking Captain America," you provided, understanding now where Bucky was coming from. "The perpetual boy scout. You don't want to open up to him about the darker stuff, because you're afraid it will change how he sees you."
Bucky closed his eyes and nodded. "He's already done so much to save me from the worst parts of myself; I don't want to burden him with any more than I already have."
You cupped his jaw with your hand. "Steve loves you, Buck. He will never see you as a burden. I promise you that."
He smiled at you, but it was sad. "I already cost him so much. More than you realize, Pocket. It just felt like, with Jewel, maybe I could have someone else to discuss those parts of myself with, someone I wasn't afraid of letting down."
Your first instinct was to be hurt that he felt he couldn't share those parts of himself with you, but you realized why he wasn't able to.
As if reading your thoughts, he said: "Please don't think it means that I want to share things with her instead of you, though. That will never be the case."
"But there are things that I'll just never be able to fully understand," you supplied, "because I'm not a super soldier. I understand."
He nodded, leaning his head down until his forehead was pressed against yours. "But I don't need to be friends with her," he said. "You said she was horrible to you, and I believe you. That's not the kind of person I want in my life. You're the most important thing in the world to me. I need you to know that."
You would have sworn you felt your heart momentarily stop. More important to him than Steve? Your cheeks grew warm at the implication.
"Bucky, I never want to be the kind of person who tells you who you can or can't be friends with. If talking to her helps you process whatever you need to process, then please, do it." You nuzzled your nose against his. "Just, you know, never flirt with her in front of me again."
He pulled his head back and looked at you, a knowing smirk plastered across his face. "Doll, are you telling me you're jealous?" You made a scoffing sound and playfully pushed him away from you. You were treading dangerously close to feelings territory, and you'd only just gotten back to a good place with him; you weren't about to risk it, but you weren't going to lie to him, either.
You ran a hand through his hair, leaning closer until your lips were pressed against the shell of his ear. "You know I've never been a good girl when it comes to sharing, Bucky," you breathed before taking his earlobe into your mouth and sucking on it.
Bucky let out a low groan and shot his metal hand over to possessively grasp your upper thigh, sending a shiver through you. "Be careful, doll," he growled in the way that had you clenching your legs together, "otherwise I'm liable to bend you over this table and fuck you so hard, you won't remember your own name."
You pulled away from him. "Promises, promises," you teased.
Before Bucky could follow through on his threat, the waitress returned with your orders. Without thinking, you handed Bucky half of your wrap at the same time he deposited a generous handful of waffle fries onto your plate. Catching your eye, he gave you an amused grin, and you both burst into laughter. The tension between you two seemed to dissipate, replaced by the comfortable banter you were used to.
The conversation throughout the meal was light, ranging from random anecdotes to plans for the next day. Occasionally, Bucky would say something that made you giggle uncontrollably, causing a few patrons to give you curious glances. But he just flashed them his charming smile, making most of them blush and turn away.
After finishing your meals, you scooted closer to him, resting your head on his shoulder as you watched the diner's activity. His arm automatically wrapped around you, pulling you closer into his side. You could hear his heart beating steadily in his chest, a soothing rhythm that made your eyes droop sleepily.
"You alright there?" Bucky asked softly, noticing your languidness. You hummed in response, too comfortable to move or open your eyes properly.
"Gettin' sleepy," you admitted as you tried to stifle a yawn. "'s been a long night."
"Then let's get you home before you turn into a pumpkin, princess." Bucky helped you out of the booth, then tucked you into his side so you could lean against him as you walked toward the counter to pay your bill. You tried to hand Bucky your Amex card, but he shooed your hand away. "I got it, doll. Least I can do after everything I put you through tonight."
You didn't argue with him, not because you didn't have the energy to, but because you knew it was his way of making amends. He settled the bill quickly, leaving a generous tip, then led you back out of the diner into the cool night air. You leaned against his sturdy form as he walked you both back to the Sergio, opening the door for you and helping you with your seat belt, despite your protests.
"I'm not that drunk anymore, Buck," you laughed as he leaned over you to click the belt into place.
"Damn it, woman, be quiet and let me take care of you!" He pressed a quick kiss to your lips before closing the door and making his way around to the driver's side.
Though the drive to the Tower wasn't very long, you quickly found yourself lulled into a comfortable stupor, your mind at peace for the first time in what what felt like weeks. You barely registered when Bucky pulled into the Tower's underground garage, or stopped to give the Sergio's keys to the night parking attendant. You were vaguely aware of him picking you up and cradling you in his arms as he carried you back to his room.
Once inside, he carefully helped you strip out of your pants and halter top and into one of his shirts. Once you'd changed, he tucked you both into his bed, curling his body against yours until you didn't know where his body ended and yours began.
"Better?" he asked, softness threading his voice. You hummed in response, half asleep as your body molded into his welcoming warmth.
A soft chuckle rumbled through his chest, "Sweet dreams, doll," he murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to your temple as he adjusted the sheets around you both. His metal arm wound under your pillow comfortably while the other rested on your waist, giving you a sense of protection that no fortress could offer.
You curled closer into him, snuggling into his broad chest like a kitten seeking warmth. His steady heartbeat and slow breathing became your lullaby, luring you closer to sleep with every second.
He stroked your hair gently as you fell off into sleep, whispering words of affection and apology into the quietness of the night.

Could you tell us something more about nyavka!afo, please? How many appearances he has, whatās his opinion on Kudou, what sort of legend locals made of him and maybe something about his first follower š„ŗ?
Thank you for your ask. Of course! š
I rambled for quite a bit so I'm putting this under a read more:
Appearance wise Yoichi is the more traditional of the two with longer hair and sheer white clothing if he is wearing anything. But I think AFO would explore his style a bit more (on days he chooses to wear clothing of course) He often takes garments from those he has drowned, he may wear the tattered pieces around him like a robe. An older AFO might even wear some actual shirts if he is feeling fancy.
Both enjoy adorning themselves in foliage and wreathes but between the two AFO is far more likely to not wear them, and when he does he prefers more ostentatious and darker arrangements. (Even in death and a quirkless world he still needs to dress like a super villain lol). Additionally I have thought of them both with very long hair like would be more traditional for Nyavka, perhaps they did that when they were younger.
Concerning local legends, no one knows AFO's name but they are certainly aware that something lurks in the waters of the forest. Locals say that after two brothers drowned after being chased out of a village, a massive flood destroyed it completely, due to the work of a vengeful spirit. Not to say that AFO is the only spirit in the forest but he is certainly one of the most aggressive and consistently murderous. Yoichi meanwhile goes out of his way *not* to drown people and can be even be benevolent when not giving in to his urges. And the neighboring rusalka (other water related spirits) tend not to drown everyone they come across, only those who they find amusing or who insult them.
Onto Machia. . ..Machia is a huntsman who was raised in the mountain nearby. Unlike many other people who have discarded myths he is very aware of legends came prepared with the proper things to keep his life and to bargain properly if he were to encounter any spirits . . . And encounter a spirit he did as AFO stood in river expecting another easy victim.
But Machia was something new. Countless others had begged before. But to have someone look at him in all of his terror and beauty like he was something to be worshipped instead of just sniveling in fear? To throw themselves at his feet offering themselves completely to him without having to strangle them first? That was new. . .Machia's proper offering of a bejeweled comb certainty helped him gain favor as well. (Like some rusalka stories Nyavka sometimes are placated with gifts such a comb in some stories) So AFO decided to let him live. . . With the promise of Machia returning with more finery naturally. Machia of course falls head over heels for him, while AFO is delighted to be worshipped. I imagine in his own way he does feel some affection for Machia (even if he does not recognize it at the start) but it's certainly twisted by his being an undead spirit and it's very much again based on what Machia can do for him.
As for Kudou . . . Oh he despises Kudou. Yoichi is his and has always been his. When Yoichi fled with the man it was naturally Kudou's fault and not a result of AFO trying to kill Kudou and control Yoichi. The two were born together, died together, and he refuses to let some mortal break those bonds now. This concept has many versions, in several he either tricks Yoichi into killing Kudou (with the help of Machia) or drowns the man himself. Even in happier endings where Yoichi escapes with Kudou, he is willing to take some extreme actions to hunt him down and get Yoichi back.
Some other miscellaneous info: - even an undead quirkless AFO is still a hoarder he collects trinkets from drowned souls and the villages he has ravaged. He and Yoichi live in a cave which is primarily filled with this "treasure". He appreciates the luxurious offerings Machia brings even more, even if he has no use for fine furs and horilka he still likes feeling revered. -Yoichi and AFO had a frankly miserable and short human life, during which they were both considered cursed by those around them. Neither of them have many good memories but Yoichi is more idealistic and willing to let himself be more vulnerable around Kudou, while AFO would prefer to pretend he was never human in the first place. One of the reasons he likes Machia so much is because of how he treats him like an untouchable god.

Is Arthur a character in TKN, and if he is, what kind of role does he play? I know Uther is the Villain King of the story, and I was curious on how you planned to portray Arthur, if at all? š
Thanks for the ask! :D
For reference, this is Utherās appearance in TKN!
He may look cool, but trust me, heās not a good person at all.
Heās charming (superficially), lacking empathy and a sense of guilt, a pathological liar, inclined to psychologically manipulate, bold, impulsive, narcissistic, arrogant, inclined to violenceā¦
The list goes on, and itās because heās a psychopath. The word is overused and misused, but I mean it in the (current) true definition. It can be caused by āgenetic and environmental issues, such as neglect or abuse by parental figuresā, from Wikipediaās article covering it.
A few risk factors are also āfamily history, parental neglect, abuse, or psychological manipulation of the affected childā. And depending on how I characterize his father, Constantine (The Third possibly, but idk lol), he couldāve been a sweetheart who was abused into becoming a monster, or he was the monster all along.
Either way, he destroys everyone around him, intentionally or not. He harbors secret hate towards Merlin and Charlie, because neither of them are like him at all, besides both being blatantly magic.
Realizing thereās so much I havenāt thought aboutā¦
Back in Daylightās Redemption: Emerald Embers, Merlin had been living at Camelot for 100 years when the story started (separated from Charlie at that point; Iāll say more about that in a different post). The order of the kings I had was Vortigern, Constantine, Uther, and Arthur. Vortigern is the only one who isnāt explicitly related to them, but he was who I was going with.
The order of the kings still makes sense to me? But I donāt know how long Merlin and Charlie wouldāve been living at Camelot before āpresent dayā. T_T
Anyways, Uther is a sun coded character, like Merlin is subtly moon coded with his earrings!
Camelot has the sun as its insignia, making Merlinās moon motifs seem like heās rebelling against the royalsā authority. (He is. Secretly.)
Merlin actually had moon motifs back in Daylight's Redemption, to match Morgana! But when I started The King of the Nameless, I wasn't sure who the brutal sun character would be for a while, since at the "beginning" of the story, Morgana isn't even alive yet. And of course, she isn't the Morgana from Tales of Arcadia. (I'll talk more about her later.) Ignore the tag for Morgana lol; that's for ToA's version, not mine.
Finaly had a stroke of genius and decided it would be Uther! That was before he'd been designed lol, so now that he was going to have that coding, I wanted to finally give him one.
It was... difficult. He was being a bitch to design along with just. being a bitch in general. Forgot he was supposed to be 25, so I kept making dudes in their 40s in the game Dragon's Dogma, and I also couldn't decide if I wanted him to be handsome or ugly. To past me, āthe first option would show that evil people can be handsome too, but I don't still donāt want people simping for him. The second option might make it unintentionally seem like 'Oh of course heās evil! Heās ugly!āā
Made a poll asking if I should make him handsome or ugly, and handsome won! After that, I think I finally gave up and commissioned Merlin's first artist, using some references at the bottom of the post.
That's how his design finally came to be!
Then after that, his backstory that I really need to update at some point went through multiple revisions.
Idea 1: Listened to āMonsterā from Epic the Musical and thought of him not always being evil until his father died; (magically related, presumably) he saw his brother, Aurelius, who was the older brother and king at this point in time, struggling under the weight of the crown and blamed it on magic doing this. Then as he grew up with Merlin as one his mentors, he realized that Merlin was insane (read: mentally ill) and felt like he was losing him, and presumed his magic did it to him.
His brother died, and his feelings towards magic taking everything from him only increased. Logical solution is, of course, eradicating magic completely so no one else would get hurt because of it (and starting with murdering Merlin). I had no idea how that would fit in with Igraine.
I didn't want to retcon Utherās character, but I also thought a kind character becoming a monster was peak. I had no idea who a different character could be though.
Idea 2: Constantine sucked ass and Merlin basically raised Uther, but the latter's biological father still managed to get into Utherās head that Merlin was crazy. That cued the complicated feelings of not wanting the one who raised him to die, while also thinking he needed to be put out of his misery so he wouldn't suffer anymore, and the misguided offspring betrayal. Seemed like a tragic villain at this point, and once again couldn't figure out how to make Igraine fit. He also started planning the magical genocide behind Merlinās back because he knew that Merlin would never agree, and his reasoning was that magic took his father and brother, and he wouldnāt let that happen to anyone else.
Idea 3: Make Aurelius the asshole brother to fit the previous two ideas. Or Uther was still an asshole and he was dead. Or he faked his death or something.
@danhengsbestie and I got mixed up while talking about the third idea, and she thought I meant make Uther good and Aurelius evil, but I meant keep Uther evil and Aurelius good. She liked his design and though he could be a good guy, and that I could give him a more heroic treatment. I disagreed because if you know what he did to Igraine (and Gorlois afterwards) in the Legends, then you know.
Made another poll. Uther won, so that's what I kept.
If anyone wants to hear more about Uther, and Igraine, Gorlois, and that whole situation, send me an ask? š There's some dark things there so I'd put it in a separate post so people can avoid it if they need to. Also this is getting a bit long even without their designs and things...
Ending Uther's bit with this: something funny about Charlieās personality changing is that at one point Uther hated him for ābeing like him (and he doesnāt realize it)ā but now their personalities are vastly different lol.
Compared to Utherās above traits, Charlieās serious, brave, protective (of Merlin), compassionate (towards Merlin), as well as fierce but loving and loyal, who sometimes takes a little bit longer to care about people than Merlin due to personality differences. He'll readily state his opinions and start arguments without caring, as well as having no qualms about staring people down while gauging their personality and threat level. Was at first completely normal but is now Fucked Up too.
Arthur:
I... have no official design for this dude yet. But like in many of the Legends, he's the son of Uther and Igraine! He's also the older sister of Morgana.
These are just a few of his portrayals in media, in order: King Arthur by Charles Ernest Butler, N. C. Wyeth's title page illustration for The Boy's King Arthur (1922), The Sword in the Stone (1963), The Quest for Camelot, Once Upon A Time, Merlin (2008), and Tales of Arcadia.
These are a couple of beta designs I made before I realized I wanted him to look younger, like his father, and these are also from before Uther got designed lol.
I also made a couple of Picrews for him, but now when I look at them I'm like: "Why are you white."
Because this is the color swatch I picked directly from Morgana's skin, and while her original artist said she could be any race or gender I wanted since she was designed to be ambigious, I went with her being Greek after @honeyxmonkey suggested it!
Decided to attempt another design for him while making this post, and I'm not set on it, but for now this is him lol.
I think he looks like Krel from Tales of Arcadia. š
Anyways, onto his portrayal!
Or former portrayal. Apparently most of this is not updated information. I'm so sorry to disappoint lol.
Some of this is a combination of Daylightās Redemption and TKN content.
DR, January: I was thinking about Arthur struggling with trusting his magic his whole life because of Utherās upbringing, in spite of Merlin and Morgana proving that magic can be good instead of doing an abrupt 180 as soon as Guinevere dies. Because most fics either have him hating magic the whole fic regardless of logical timelines, or have the 180, but I was thinking the struggle would be interesting because it contrasted Gwen, whoās loved magic her whole life and he loves her, Merlin, and Morgana enough to keep trying to fight his fatherās opinions drilled into.
Then itās all thrown down the drain when Bellroc stabs him and the Order makes him the Green Knight.
And Gwen dying also pushed him over the edge of after all his trying and launching the genocide out of grief despite Merlin and Morganaās pleas.
TKN, January: Despite me starting to change the newly titled writing into a book, Guinevere was still dead due to magical means, and Arthur still started the genocide out of grief.
February: I realized Merlin being more open with his emotions meant he actually told people about his visions, which made it even more gutwrenching when Merlin told Arthur about his vision of the latter committing the magical genocide, and he was so grief stricken he did it anyways because he felt like Uther was right about everything he taught him despite him being dead for years at this point.
March: He was going to be one of four of Merlinās adopted kids: him, Guinevere, Morgana, and Mordred. Which is very weird compared to now, where Merlin only has Charlie as his adopted kid lol. Iāll elaborate more on him and Charlie in an ask @gaylightisminetocommand sent!
Arthur was adopted first because Uther was severely lacking as a father figure (to say the least). Guinevere came to Camelot every summer to hopefully become friends with Arthur because the two were betrothed (Swan Princess, anyone?). And they did bond pretty much immediately! Morgana was adopted because at that point, she also lived in Camelot, and Uther was just as amazing with her. Same with Mordred.
Currently: Something that will stay the same from my most recent version is Arthur being nicer than some portrayals, such as Once Upon A Time, where, according to the casting call, is āa good and just ruler who, beneath the surface, is a master manipulator who can carry a grudge to the grave, and maybe beyond. He harbors an eternal burning love for Guinevere that can lean toward being a bit... controlling.ā, or Tales of Arcadia, where he enacts a magical genocide after Guinevere dies. (Back then, this was because of Merlinās influence, but if that stays the same Merlin will be more of a mentor figure than a parental one.)
Also, Mordred is still going to be related to him, but he isnāt his son like the Legends. Especially not through his mother being Morgana (or Morgause depending on the version). Theyāre both Arthurās half-sisters, and there wonāt be any incest in TKN at all. Mordred also wonāt bring around the end of Camelot lol. I think.
Also also, heās a great older brother to Morgana, and he and Guinevere actually have a wholesome marriage! He never has any lovers besides her, and they rule Camelot as equals.
To apologize for the lack of information, Iām also going to yap about Guinevere and Morgana!
Guinevere:
I actually have more of a set design for her!
I could've SWORN she's usually blonde at first, so I made that design first, but most images I found depict her with brown hair. So nowā¦ I canāt decide if I like blonde or brunette better. š
Back in January, when I was first coming up with new ideas, I thought of Morgana being a teenager instead of a grown woman like usual, and at this point, she was the child produced by ahem. The if you know thing. Her being so much younger when Uther died and being the result of the Uther thingā¢ļø instead of Arthur caused her a lot of insecurity, but Guinevere didnāt care about the circumstances of her birth because it wasnāt her fault, and basically became an older sister to her. When she died, Morgana was shattered.
Debated on if I was going to keep her dead or not as I went through more revisions, and finally decided not to :] Sheās gonna live!!!
Back when Merlin had four kids, I was debating on if he possibly would have three instead, since her just coming every summer might not be enough for him to be a dad to her. At the very least, theyād have been friends.
In her current version, she still loves Morgana, and sheās an older sister figure to her like before. And a line in God Games from Epic: the Musical applies to her: āNever once has he cheated on his wifeā. The Lancelot affair destroying the round table doesnāt occur, and we love a loyal queen!
Morgana:
Like Merlin, sheās gone through a few design changes.
This was her first design! And I still think she looks cute :) Itās very different from her current one though lol.
This was way back when I first started TKN! I was thinking of inverting Arthur and Morganaās usual designs, and making him have black hair, and her have blonde hair.
Iāll go through her ton of backstory changes like Merlin and Charlie first and reveal her design at the end!
As I said, originally, she was Utherās daughter produced by that, a bastard child because Uther wasnāt married to her mother. He hated her because of it, even though it was the consequences of his own actions.
In the og Arthurian Legends, the result was Arthur, but I forgot which sibling it was, so I had to Google it, and I also wanted Morgana angst. Uther also treated her like shit for having magic; she was eight when it first started.
He only let Merlin train her in magic so she wouldnāt become a monster, but unbeknownst to them, he was secretly sending assassins in attempts to rid himself of her (and he might have done it to Merlin too).
Also I wasnāt very smart lol, because then I couldnāt decide if she or Arthur was going to be Igraineās child butā¦ in Arthurian Legends theyāre both her kids. I thought they were half-siblings through Uther, not her. Thatās part of why Morgana was the bastard child first, but then I couldnāt decide which one it was going to be, and apparently. I didnāt have to and Iām just stupid.
Like how I forgot Arthur was the original child by Uther in the Legends. š But in my defense, I may have been thinking of BBC Merlin where they were actually half-siblings through Uther.
After my realization, I was thinking about how Merlin would become Morganaās surrogate father because of her being Igraine and Gorloisā daughter, and Uther wouldnāt have any claim to take her to Camelot that way; so maybe they would actually die of old age later on, and then she was taken to Camelot. (Uther was possibly still alive because he was forcing Merlin to keep him immortal. Idk. Or Arthur and Gwen were ruling Camelot by then and he wantsd to take in the half-sister heās never met.) So anyways, she latched onto Merlin because he was nice just like her parents were, and he was magic just like her, and as much as her parents had loved her, they had never known what it was to be magic in a world that hated you.
But then @danhengsbestie said killing them off was rude lol.
Then I thought that maybe actually she could start coming to Camelot every summer or something so Merlin could teach her magic. And then she has three parents.
When Guinevere dies, she and Arthur were both heartbroken, and her grief got even worse when Arthur launched the genocide against magical beings despite her and Merlinās pleas.
She couldnāt take being in the castle after Gwenās funeral, and she goes out to the forest, where my equivalent of the Arcane Order at this point found her.
āNariā sensed her soul and how much pain she was in, and they decide that her grief and young age makes her a prime target for them.
They easily manipulate her into being their pawn, and the āfightā between Merlin and her was him getting her to stand down after he tells her who they truly are.
But no one else was taking her unintentional betrayal wellā¦
Well, that was wild. Itās gonna get even worse with Merlin and Charlieās post lollll.
Another idea I had was Morgana getting a prosthetic arm later, like how ToA Morgana got the prosthetic hand.
And a day later, I found an adoptable that I decided was perfect! I was so glad they (designed to be an ambiguous gender as well as race lol) were still available, because I wouldāve been crushed. š I couldnāt believe nobody had snagged them.
They didnāt have a name either when I got them lol, but I saw them and I was like āOhh thatās beautiful!! WAIT THAT WOULD BE A PERFECT MORGANA DESIGNā
I thought it was hilarious that I had the idea for her to have a prosthetic arm and then not even a day later bam. art.
I still have to figure out how she loses her arm and part of her left ear, along with getting the scars on her face.
The one thing thatās stayed consistent about her is being a lesbian! :D Like ToAās is.
Back when Uther was still her stepfather, I had an idea for him being so despicable that he yelled at Morgana after she lost her arm for being that ācarelessā when sheād just woken up at Camelot after passing out from the blood loss and being bandaged up. Yeah that definitely wonāt happen now.
I wasnāt actually going to make her Greek at first, but when I was making a reference sheet for her, her skin color came out as various shades of brown when I used a color picker tool. Before, I thought she was white because of the lighting. I thought it was my mistake, so I asked her original artist if he had a possible race for her, and he said I could decide.
Like I said, @honeyxmonkey suggested her being Greek after saying she looked vaguely Latina lol, and I ran with it! I also made a few Picrews of her during the figuring out her race part, and you can see how she changed! The third one is actually still a little bit lighter than her color swatch lol.
Oh also, she gets a familiar eventually! :D Her name is Willa!
Since Charlie is one of the biggest animal familiars currently existing, sheāll definitely be smaller than him, but other than that I donāt have a current size for her lol.

I just read your entire Just Kiss Already series up to the latest one with the huge fight between the two and ARGH you write them both so well!! Especially Lucifer, his anxiety and stumbling-through-his-words dialogue that makes him oh so relatable to me are perfect. And as an English Language and Literature graduate who's not a native English speaker, your writing has some GREAT vocabulary and phrases I absolutely love.
As someone aroaceage myself (on all 3 spectrums not 100% completely aromantic, asexual, or agender, just FYI since people forget it's a spectrum and then attack me way too often and now I'm wary) it's so refreshing to see another aroace person writing Alastor with his "I hate personal space invasion" attitude that I share. I strictly hate giving up my privacy and your explanation for how Al feels makes so much sense (and also makes me feel like I won't be friendless my whole life, so thanks :') if Alastor can end up with someone despite hating intimacy and if Lucifer can despite being awkward and desperate then damn. Maybe so can I). Oh, and Vox being the pathetic desperate wet tissue he is is soo entertaining. I don't babygirl-ise characters often but he's just so. Fun to watch embarass himself. I can't help it.
I came to your blog just to say this but got a lot of RadioApple discourse that I'm honestly a bit intimidated by since I wasn't aware of all this happening at all, I just follow a very select few creators and now I don't know whether I'm doing something wrong. Personally I don't care much about top/bottom dynamics (except in certain situations) so I'm just confused and worried lol. And what's with the outfits and likes??? I'm out of the entire loop. But I'm glad conversations are happening when they should!
Anyway, I canNOT wait for more from your series, wherever it goes. I'd draw fanart or write fics in your AU with your permission but I'm currently having every creative block known to humanity for several years. Somehow.
I usually comment on AO3 itself but you connected your Tumblr after every chapter so it felt right to come here, even tho I'm not too active on social media sites. I hope you don't mind my mostly-unrelated rambles. All the kudos to your fics!
First and foremost: You aren't doing anything wrong.
It's fine if you're out of the loop. There's really no loop to begin with. It's just some fandom tropes and characterizations a handful of us don't enjoy seeing and we're ranting about it LOL If you like any of those tropes or characterizations, or follow people who make art/fics with them, there's nothing wrong with that either. There's no need to be worried, you're doing just fine š
Secondly, THANK YOU!!!
I don't think anyone is 100% ace, aro, or agender, it's a spectrum, afterall. There's no meter you have to reach to be considered 100% a sexuality, you just are :) If you say you're ace, aro, or agender, that's what you are, and anyone who wants to argue about it can go kick rocks.
I base a lot of how I write Alastor's aceness on myself, so hearing people say they feel the same is just (;Ā“ą¼ąŗ¶Šą¼ąŗ¶`) It's so amazing to hear. I'm a very private person and I like my personal space; I'm not a very physically touchy person, and thankfully, I have an amazing friend (who's love language is physical touch and affection) who knows and understands this and doesn't touch or hug me without permission - I love her so much T.T
Vox is such a pathetic wet tissue and that's what I love about him
(ć„ļæ£ Ā³ļæ£)ć„ I wanna give him a little kiss on his big, flat forehead.
I'm so happy you're enjoying my fics and relating to them so much. I don't think there's a higher compliment an author can get than their readers saying that they saw themselves in the story and characters. It's such an amazing feeling, it makes me all warm and tingly inside.
Once your creative block lets up - whenever that may be - you have my full permission to draw and write as much as you want in my AU.
Thanks for visiting my tumblr!! Sorry you felt intimidated by the discourse, that's not fun. Just know that you're not doing anything wrong, and whatever fandom content you engage with is perfectly fine and you shouldn't feel bad about enjoying it ^.^ Fandom is escapism and we're all here to have a good time.
Thank you for your rambles!! I enjoyed reading them!!
#this was so nice to wake up to!#I enjoyed your rambles!#also#anyone who wants to argue with you about your sexuality or orientation can come fight me#when people start putting limits and restrictions#or a checklist of things you have to be to identify as anything#that's a big no no#gender and sexuality are so big and complex that it's impossible to shove them into tiny boxes#id you say you're ace aro and agender then you are#doesn't matter what anyone else says#I'm glad you're enjoying my fics!! and relating to them!!#that's so nice to hear!!#asks#astrobookwormsinger#Just Kill Already#Radioapple#Appleradio

I watched Zootopia like 6 months ago on a whim, and now the fixation is still hyper...ing.
Yeah
Anyways, Judy and Nick are the best and deserve everything (I genuinely couldn't remember anyone else's names the first time I saw it) aaaaand yeah it's sad that the Fandom is basically nonexistent.
Actually, it's still going strong(?) on AO3 (i've made a few one-shots (shameless self promotion I'm Not_Quite_A_Moron there)) but still, kinda sucks.
Anyways, random headcanon time:
Nick has two moms (he doesn't have specific names for both of them, he just yells "MOM!" anytime he needs help)
Judy actually really likes eating meat, Nick just has to convince her to try it
Nick became really closed off and touch starved after the Junior Ranger Scouts incident, so now, he's a chronic cuddler (especially with Judy (which she loves))
Judy's on the autistic spectrum (she often stims by tapping her foot, and she likes to display affection via playful punches to the arm)
Judy was born on the same day that Nick got muzzled, as if the universe itself felt bad and said "here, have a rabbit" (definitely didn't steal this one from Tumblr nope certainly not)
Nick doesn't really like Gazelle's music, he's more of a rock kind of guy, but he'll stomach any song for Judyās sake
Judy's asexual (Take one look at the nudist club scene and tell me she isn't at least demi)
Bestie Iād just like to say AAAAAAAAAA
Sorry, but I just got SO excited when I saw someone submitting headcanons! Itās been way too long since Iāve been able to have a good olā Zootopia discussion. Oh and Iāll certainly check out your fics! My user is Pixarpnflover so be on the look out for some kudos!āØ
Anyway, I love the idea of Nick being raised by two moms! There was supposed to be a plotline about his dadāJohn Wilde, I believe was his nameābut got scrapped along with a lot of other content. So until itās actually mentioned in canon Iām choosing to believe his mom in the flashback was in fact a raging lesbian lmaoš¤·āāļø also would that make him a double mamaās boy?š¤
Ooo an herbivore converting to a meat diet? How intriguing! I like to think now that she lives in the city that Judy would be open to trying new foods, which would include poultry and fish. I can see her favoring sushi or even turkey.
Nick being openly affectionate after meeting Judy, and reserving most of that said affection for her? Hell yeah. Heās very unapologetic about it too. Heās waited far too long to share that amount of vulnerability and comfort with someone. No way heās ever going to hold backš«
Autistic Judy my belovedšš» You cannot convince me sheās even a little bit neurotypical, I will not believe you lol. I love that her natural rabbit behavior could actually be interpreted as stimming!
Dude, I have believed this headcanon for so long!! The second I found out their age difference, I just knew there had to be some kind of coincidence going on there. I mean, Nick couldāve just said āwhen I was a kidā when beginning the story, but instead he specified his age (or an estimate, at least) and I think that a choice on the writersā part. Anyway, Iām a big believer in fate/soulmates, so even just the idea of Judy being born, destined to cross paths with Nick someday to heal his childhood trauma and make his life better, just melts my heartā¤ļøš
Haha yeah, you can tell the concert at the credits that Nick was only there for Judyš Not to say he wasnāt enjoying himself, he just wasnāt nearly as enthusiastic as everyone else. But ya know, the things ya do for your girlfriend!š I can also imagine Judy listening to music she doesnāt necessarily enjoy either. A certain loud rock song starts playing on the radio and before she can even think about changing the station, Nick goes āoh I like this one!ā And so she smiles and suffers through it. She may even end up liking it anyway!š
As for this last one, I kinda have to disagree. Not to say she isnāt ace or demi, and no hate to anyone who shares this opinion! But idk, to me I donāt think someone not wanting to see a bunch of people walking around ass-naked makes them ace or a prude (which Iāve seen some fanfics try to claim her to be?) I mean, Iām horny asf and Iād be just as uncomfortable walking around a nudist clubšš
ā¦I never thought Iād type a sentence like that lol
Anyway, thanks for sharing these! I sure hope the fandom comes back someday, but in the meantime Iāll be here waiting and open to exchanging more headcanons! :3
