So, in the $1300 Disney advent calendar (celebrating 100 years of Disney... and this adventure calendar is so not worth it, btw, I watched a video on it), they have random crystal stars in it... that don't tie to Disney at all. And a part of me wants to try and save it and say they're supposed to be paopu fruits, but we all know they aren't. LOL

Frohana Birthday Parties! 🎂
The birthday parties were always one of my favorite plots from the storybooks. I'm glad all of them got one!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Olaf, of course, had a summer party! After many "failed" attempts, that is. You know how animes have a mandatory "beach episode"? I guess this is Frozen's version of that 🤭 (Well, depending on which storybook you read...)
This story also had some of my most favorite illustrations of the Frohana too! It's always a treat to see them decorated with flowers.
"It's my birthday?" Olaf grinned, "That must be why it's been the best day ever!" Aaaw 🥹
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was also very sweet to see the kinds gifts the Frohana planned to give Sven. I like it when Olaf uses the snowflakes from his flurry as a plot device. R.I.P. Olaf's flurry. And, of course, Sven gets a... carrot cake! 😆
Tumblr media
For young Kristoff, he got to celebrate his first "human" birthday party with the Trolls! He says he's never been to one, so they wanted to "surprise" him (with his knowledge lol). Little Kristoff saying he doesn't know when his real birthday is because he doesn't have a family to keep track of it was... 🥺
Tumblr media
Elsa's was very interesting. She already knew Anna would be planning for her (because it takes one to know one! And also 'cause the Frohana wasnt very discreet either). So, like the introvert that she is, she sort of "dreaded" the party all day as she finished her daily royal duties. She thought they had planned a huge party with a reindeer-sized cake and invited five hundred guests (her words, not mine!) To her surprise, they threw a "quiet little party with family and friends"—exactly what Elsa wanted! 😁
Tumblr media
Little Anna's was my favorite! It was also nice seeing a young Anna with messy bed hair too. Some things never change. Come to think of it, her birthday is probably one of the most celebrated events in the storybooks—Not to mention, Frozen Fever! I think there's also another birthday of hers where Elsa creates a winter wonderland for Anna in the castle? Correct me if I'm wrong 😅
Tumblr media
Important guests from neighboring kingdoms were invited, so Anna acted as formal and as proper as she could to please her parents. Every single time she thought she messed up, Agnarr and Iduna played along to reassure her it's okay 🥹
Tumblr media
That night, Elsa, of course, showed her what a "real party" looked like without the pressure of acting formal! ♡
Tumblr media
+ BONUS BIRTHDAY PARTY!
Olaf's pet rock, Rocky— probably the one Elsa and the Earth Giants gave him during a solo visit to the Enchanted Forest! I love his complete 180° where he treats Rocky like an actual living being all day and then he ends with a "Rocky's just a rock, remember?" 😭

The Snow Queen on the Isle of the Lost - Prologue
So, this is the beginning/premise of a much longer fic I have in the works (@dragoneyes618 and @chronically-unlucky it’s the one we spoke about yesterday), but it can work as a standalone so I thought it could be good enough to publish it.
Summary: What if Hans won? After all, two right steps in the right direction, a little more attention to details, a lie held in place a tad longer, a little more patience, even, it'd been so easy. It made Elsa spontaneously give up her throne and accept to go the Isle of the Lost, leaving him the only one in line for the throne... Hans won. But how? And with what consequences? Would that mean he truly won? And how Elsa would fare on the Isle, from its creation and during the 20 years of its existence?
Trigger warnings: character death, attemped murder and suicide mentions.
Hans played all his cards, and he did it well.
He waited until Anna exhaled her last breath to announce her death to the other nobles. How he kept her inside the room was not through force, but the power of words, with a quick tongue, laced in sweet poison.
"I'm sorry, I do love you. Maybe not even True Love's Kiss is powerful enough to challenge your sister's magic" he lied through his teeth.
Then Anna realized she didn't love him. She said they had it wrong, that maybe Elsa was right, that they barely knew each other and he listened her rambling about some ice harvester and her trip to the North Mountain and then to Trolls who were love experts or something.
He feigned hurt, enraged by the last joke pulled on him as it was clear Anna had fallen for the peasant boy, even if he didn't care about her, even if she was a means to an end, knowing even someone as naive and desperate as her could toss him aside so easily stung.
Only then he spoke the truth, only after Anna's hands had already turned into ice, her hair all white, even her irises had changed into icy blue embed with snowflakes.
It was too late for her to be saved, but enough for him to take the little revenge.
But he put back the façade once out the room and it was an act good enough he shed actual tears when the ice harvester came back for Anna - too late, too late - and even to say had he known he would have gladly let him save her if it had meant for her to be alive and happy.
After that, he had to make everything run smooth.
He played the heartbroken widowed prince, the just man who took the burden of the crown of a cursed kingdom, like his wife had begged him to when she died "with the wedding vows still on her lips".
He condamned the Queen to death, even if he had no actual right, because he managed to exploit the moment of pain and confusion and fear at its peak.
When he found the runaway Queen, he destroyed her will to fight with the news of her sister's death, her grief took the light out her eyes long before he swung his sword. But the iron broke in a thousand of frozen pieces. Elsa was grieving, knees on the ground in quiet tears, dead inside like the sudden stillness of the air around her, but her magic was still strong, her magic still protected her.
They took her back to the Ice Castle after the damage she made to the palace. The guards - her guards - treated her gently, despite the eternal winter was still ongoing, despite the princess' death, she was still their queen and they recognized she was genuinely heartbroken at the news of her sister's demise.
She never said a word, never looked at anyone, her eyes void of tears after she spilled them all.
When Hans sentenced her to go back to her Ice Palace, she didn't object, unlike the little living snowman.
«Olaf, it's alright» she said, quietly, then «Take care of my people, prince Hans»
Those were the last words Elsa would say for weeks, but for Hans it was the validation he desperately wanted his whole life long.
§
Two weeks later, the winter persisted yet and Elsa walked past the broken railing of her balcony.
Only the thick layer of soft snow stopped an otherwise deadly fall - why didn't she just die? stop ruining the kingdom he worked so hard to get! - and the news of the attempt were impossible to contain.
After that, the servants who were aware of her secret long before her coronation spilled the rest of the story to defend her, and the people of Arendelle listened to their compatriots. The foreign prince who was supposed to become their ruler wasn't lying, but he didn't understand that Queen Elsa didn't deserve death, only help.
Arendelle's councilmen, those who acted as regents between the death of King Agnarr and the time Elsa turned of age, were thorns in Hans' sides, preventing him from getting full power, refusing to acknowledge the legitimacy of his sentence of High Treason towards the Queen because, well, they could concede he was grieving for Anna when he said so, but he didn't have the right to do it, not even if they chose to believe he and Anna had recited wedding vows alone - which was a thing, given the extreme circumstances and Anna's nature, so they didn't oppose on that - Hans didn't have the power to overthrow the current ruler.
They went to visit their queen, braving the snowstorms and the perils of North Mountain, to speak with her.
When they came back, disappointed and worried - this much was clear - they said Elsa officially allowed for Hans to be regent.
She allowed! The joke was on him, Hans knew, and knew he'd stay so as long as Elsa lived.
Or as long as she finished mourning, which could happen. This was likely the hope of the councilmen and Arendellians alike, that she'd stop grieving and came back to be their queen, stop the curse on her own volition.
And Hans had to take steps to ensure his full rise into power before that could happen, that much was sure.
§
A month in his ruling and little changed, the killers who were sent up the North Mountain failed one by one, now new statues adorned the surroundings and the inside of the Ice Castle.
The same month, the older princes of the Southern Isles sent their condolences for the death of his wife - took them long enough to recognize where he was and what he was doing, but now they knew - and Hans was finally among the real powerful ones, acknowledged at last.
If only that stupid curse would end!
And if only Arendellians weren't so stubborn, to side with their Witch Queen instead of with their saviour!
Nothing to be done, there. He had to get their trust bit by bit, with example and care. There was nothing else to do, if Elsa refused to die.
§
Two months.
Arendelle was suffering from the lack of any harvest and the near-impossibility to enter the frozen fjord and Hans had been forced to ask for help to the neighbouring kingdoms - not his brothers, never to his brothers. He had to do it and do it well and do it alone -.
Enter the soon-to-be-crowned King Beast and his wonderful plan: create a union of kingdoms to go under the name of Auradon where only heroes could live, where people with magic were banned for life or had to relinquish their power, where all those who could do harm would be exiled where they'd amount to nothing.
Hans didn't want to give up his domain, but Arendelle was on the edge of ruin, so he traded a bit of his power for the health of the kingdom. He'd still be king - even people of Arendelle will have to call him that, because Queen Elsa will be gone at last and he's the only one next in line -, that was good enough, still higher than most his brothers.
He took time to consider it, but he already knew he couldn't be picky. It was either King Beast or his brothers.
He chose the Beast.
§
The Isle of the Lost was a good solution also to Hans' other main problem: the distrust of the people of Arendelle towards him. They still stubbornly loved Elsa and doubted such a kind child, who grew into a mild-mannered woman, could be the cruel monster who willingly killed her beloved sister and cursed the land.
"Why curse her own kingdom?" was the question.
"Because she was was discovered as a witch" was his reply, the official reply, a law in his own good.
But people didn't follow it.
"What killer cries for its victim?" they wondered, the sight of the weeping and devastated queen, down on her knees when she was told her sister was dead was sculpted in everyone's minds.
"Either she repented, or she knew it meant her own damnation"
No good. It didn't matter how perfect his explanations were, people still loved Elsa and opposed to the capital punishment, even if the kingdom was still frozen over, even if it could stay like this forever.
After all, they said, summer only lasted a month or so in the fjord, with autumn and spring two months each. They were used to winter, they said. A southern prince couldn't understand, they said.
So Hans, kind, handsome prince who turned their regent - not king, never king if Elsa stayed alive and in Arendelle - had to behave like a hero and pick the next best thing.
In this case, to accept the alliance with King Beast and to exile Elsa to the Isle of the Lost.
When they told her - he didn't show up alone in front of her, he never did after their last conversation, after he tried to cut her head off and failed - she barely replied.
Four months in her curse, she barely did anything at all: barely ate, barely slept, barely moved. The annoying talking snowman was by her side most the time, taking care of her with its stick-made arms and clumsy movements and neverending chatter, but she barely spoke to him too, or so his spies said.
She was a prisoner already, of herself more than of him, Hans knew it all too well. She was keeping all of them in her own prisony of snow and ice, she was the one who held them all captive with her grief.
A look in her sad eyes and he hated her even more, because even at her lowest, even completely defeated, even when she lost it all, she still had the whole land in her hands.
Hans knew she cared - or she convinced herself she did - about Arendelle, and he knew she couldn't be taken anywhere with force, no one was strong enough for her magic, but her heart was as fragile as a crystal and exploiting her deepest weakness was his primary weapon.
He talked about how the people were suffering, how hard an eternal winter was to go by, she didn't seem to listen to most of it, but then he spoke of Anna, how she loved summer and would have wanted the winter to end, how she wanted the best for the kingdom and laced his words with honey and sour spices mashed together for the good part of an hour before she dignified him with a reaction.
She turned to him, for the first time in months really looking at anything, and asked: «If I go, will Arendelle be safe from my curse?»
They hoped so, it was their best shot, he told her, truthful for once.
«Then so be it» she replied, signing her own sentence in cold voice and imperious tone, more severe towards herself than to anyone.
If only she knew, Hans thought viciously, how Anna's death could have been avoided, how much he enjoyed taking away the only hope his "wife" had to survive...
He didn't say a word. Didn't gloat, didn't react with anything but a kind, perfect smile of gratitude and understanding.
He was the hero, and heroes acted with benevolence.
§
Elsa descended from the North Mountain at the beginning of the fifth month, when Auradon was setting and the Isle was almost ready to receive its inhabitants.
A contingent of armed guards escorted her all the way down - not for his order, but because they all volunteered to -, on a sled that covered in gleaming frost the second she touched it, without chains binding her wrists and feet, and in her beautiful, glittering dress: not a prisoner, but still very much the queen she was born to be.
Hans hated her, more and more every passing day, but that day more than any other because she was all he strived to be and had to cheat and lie to resemble to, but wouldn't show it, not even in the last moments.
Her emotionless face could have been mistaken for a look of noble dignity, but Hans knew it was only apathy.
Her people saluted her like a hero, as if she was leaving on a mission to save them all, when she was only the monster that cursed them.
How couldn't they see it?
It didn't matter. Towards the Isle of the Lost she went, and there she was bound to stay for however long her life was going to be.
§
Seven months after the start of the wintery curse, the Isle of the Lost was finalized with an impenetrable magical barrier that neutralized the magic inside and would prevent any from going in, the prisoners were left there and the Isle was sealed for good.
Once spring came, at last, Arendelle thawed.
Hans could finally have his coronation, if he so wanted - and oh, how he wanted it! - and the people would have to let him do as he wanted, they had no other ruler, no one else in line for the throne.
But.
There were things they didn't know. That no one knew.
Before the crown was put on Hans' head, the earth shook, the winds blew, fires sprouted from every candle and torch and fireplace and turned blue and purple and snaked around.
Panic ensued, people called for a new curse, but there were no magic users left, were there?
The evacuation had to be quick, lives weren't lost, a bit of luck, the hopes to recover their land after the disaster were still up...
Until water came.
It was a flood unlike any other, as if the sudden earthquake and windstorms and fires had thawed the mountains around and all the melted snow covered Arendelle until there was no Arendelle any longer.
§
Truth was not known to mortals for a long time.
The Spirits had taken revenge. Arendelle had refused and secluded their gift, their magical child who they elected to become one of them had been sent away and rendered powerless and the Spirits didn't like their blessings to go lost.
But they weren't cruel either. No one died, although people lost their home, they kept their lives.
Moreover, they blessed a princess once more.
Not with magic, but with a new chance at life.
Amidst all chaos brought by the water Nokk, the Gale had taken the frozen statue that was Princess Anna from the castle and away, far up, and before the destruction of her kingdom it brought her to Earth's children, the Trolls, where Bruni thawed her, gently healing her frozen heart little by little.
And little by little she came back to life.
With no sister, or kingdom, or a husband that never was so to wait for her, but alive, in a new family of rock trolls and one ice harvester whose heart had been broken until then and was more than willing to devote his life to her, if she so wished, Anna lived on.
§
It took a full year for Anna to recover, a precious year in which she grieved and learned what happened to her sister and her people... and gave her the time to plan what to do next.
Hans - the traitor! - had tried to take over her home, he had forced her to stay in that room and no one knew that but Anna, but oh, she may not be princess of anything anymore, but she knew he deserved a good punch in his face, that much was sure.
That's what he got, when Anna stormed in the Southern Isles' palace, demanding to see him without revealing her identity until the very last moment and, well, it was fun because he almost managed to marry another princess and basically Anna crushed the wedding in the most dramatic fashion like in some stories she used to read when she was a kid!
Ahem.
But yeah, everybody thought she was only the dead wife coming back to life for her husband, until she revealed they never married and he left her to die when he could have helped and no, she didn't know how she came back to life from her sister's curse but she was there and demanded, if her sister had to be punished, that he was too because he had been way more villainous than Elsa in Anna's eyes.
Of course, Hans was shipped to the Isle of the Lost with the next barge.
Unfortunately, King Beast refused Anna's requests to allow Elsa back from the Isle of the Lost, they couldn't risk her to freeze Auradon over, you see? Moreover, it was Elsa who asked to be brought to the Isle, under the Barrier that kept her powers at bay, powers that hurt Anna, he dared to remind, and all things considered, everyone was better off without magic - without Elsa. It was only exile, after all.
Anna's princess title was worth next to nothing if she had no kingdom to rule and from which get political leverage, save from the Trolls' territory and whatever remained of the city in the fjord, any plea from her side fell on deaf ears.
Even so, once they found out their princess was alive, people of Arendelle started to come back, looking for her, hoping for her guidance, willing to rebuid what possible and be back as the united population they once were, not refugees in the Southern states of Auradon, but a community of their own once again.
It was going to take time, Anna knew, but she and Kristoff and their people would and could make Arendelle back the strong kingdom it once was and then she would find a way to save her sister from herself.
She promised.

Chapter 59! @gyubby99
Warning: contains suggestive content
"But I don't understand. How are you here?" Elsa asked as she and Rapunzel sat across from one another. Jack sat next to Elsa, he was now fully clothed and fairly frustrated. But he was also a bit confused. Rapunzel could see him. "Well you know about my magic hair and the flower and what made me magical," Rapunzel stated. Elsa nodded. "Well when Eugene cut my hair, I guess my magic never really went away, and like you know, my magic kept gothel young for thousands of years. It wasn't surprising when I didn't age past 30," Rapunzel explained. "I see... so I was like it was still there, just not as a direct line, and because the magic is inside of you, it kept you young as it did for gothel?" Elsa asked, trying to understand. "Something like that yeah," rapunzel replied. "Okay but.. after all these years why are you here now? And how can you see me?" Jack asked. "Well I was visiting my family. They think I'm a distant cousin. And while I was walking one night I saw you and Elsa fighting a battle of some sort. And I believe in you, Jack, because Elsa told me about you, and I knew that you couldn't have been made up," rapunzel explained. Jack couldn't sit still. Elsa took notice and put her hand on his knee to signal for him to stop. He did. Jack huffed and Elsa knew he was acting this way because if their earlier activities. "Is Anna still with us?" Rapunzel asked. "No. She died long ago," Elsa replied. Rapunzel looked down in disappointment. "Jack and I would love it if you could come to our wedding," Elsa started. Rapunzel perked up. "When is it?" She asked. "We're not set on an exact day, but we'll contact you to let you know. Feel free to bring your family," Elsa replied. "Oh I will! Anyways. Speaking of my family, I should probably go. We could hang out tomorrow if you'd like," rapunzel stated as she got up and walked to the door. "That would be fantastic! Text me when!" Elsa replied. "I will. Bye!" Rapunzel shouted as she walked out of the room. Elsa closed the door behind her. "Now where were we?" Jack asked as he hugged Elsa from behind. Elsa giggled. "You're lucky Olaf and Bruni didn't wake up," Elsa stated before turning to face Jack. Jack rolled his eyes before he started to kiss Elsa again. Elsa smirked a bit as she bit at Jack's lower lip. Jack obliged as he opened his mouth. Elsa locked their lips together and the two began to move back to elsa's room. When they got in and closed and locked the door, Jack pinned Elsa to the wall. "Hoodie. Off now please." Elsa ordered. Jack nodded and took his hoodie off before going back to kissing Elsa against the wall. Elsa stepped forward and Jack fell on the bed. Elsa smirked as she hovered over him, pinning his hands above his head and kissing him hard. "Elsa," Jack muttered. "What is it love?" Elsa asked as she began to kiss down Jack's neck. "This was not where we left off," Jack complained because of how the roles reversed. "It was about to be," Elsa replied as she nipped at his neck. Jack tugged at elsas shirt. "Off. Please." He begged. "Only because you asked so nicely," Elsa stated before taking her t-shirt off and throwing it somewhere in the room. Elsa leaned back down to kiss Jack, but was met with him pushing her off gently so he was hovering over her this time. "Jack..." elsa scorned. "You brought it upon yourself snowflake," Jack replied before he pinned her arms above her head. "Someone's feisty," Elsa teased. "Careful there. You know I could break you," Jack flirted. Elsa turned them over and pinned Jack down. She got incredibly close to his ear. "I'd like to see you try," Elsa whispered into his ear with low eyelids and a smirk. "Jesus," Jack muttered as he panted. "What's wrong?" Elsa asked. "Nothing... it's ironic but you're just so hot," Jack replied with a small smile. Elsa giggled before leaning down to kiss him passionately.
An hour or more later Elsa and Jack layed in bed. Jack drew shapes on Elsa's bare hip as they cuddled. "Now that was fun," Jack muttered. "It'd better be. We haven't done that in 300 years," Elsa replied. "And yet you're still so great at it," Jack stated with a smirk. Elsa blushed and giggled. "Thanks frosty," she replied. A few moments passed. "Hey els?" Jack asked. "Yes, love?" "If rapunzel is alive, do you think maybe other people are too?" Jack asked again. "On now you want serious talk?" Elsa mocked with a smirk. "Oh c'mon you can't blame me for wanting to finish what we had just started! But we finished! So now we can talk about it!" Jack exclaimed. "Okay okay. Do I think maybe other loved ones survived? It's completely possible. I just.. don't know who," Elsa replied. There was a rhythmic knock on the door. "Elsa? Jack? What's happening in there? Why's the door locked?" Olaf asked from the other side of the door. "Uh... I'll explain later! What do you need?" Elsa asked. "Bruni is hungry but I think his food ran our cause I can't find anymore!" Olaf replied. "Okay give us a second!" Elsa shouted. "I guess it's time to get up now," elsa stated as she moved to get up and to get dressed. Jack wrapped his arms around her and pulled her back down. "But it's cold without you!" Jack complained. "Jack. You're an ice mage." Elsa muttered with a smile as she got up. Jack sighed and made his way to get up as well.

So I was watching Frozen II the other day and the whole confusion about the voice visited again. Like, who's calling Elsa? Is it Ahtohallan? Her mom? Her own self? Jennifer Lee (I think) said that the voice belongs to Iduna, but that doesn't sit well with me. And then I remembered that I've written my own theory about it, which why not share it with you? 😂
It's probably very inaccurate based on the things we know, but it was really fun to write!
Hope you enjoy!
(A/N: italics are extracts of the book "Frozen II: The Junior Novel")
The Fifth Spirit
Very long ago, in a time no man can recall, humans weren't the dominant species on Earth. There were no rules, yet neither freewill.
Or so it was thought.
People lived under nature's laws -they interacted with it, respected it greatly but mostly feared it. Prophecies about nature's rage were foolishly believed and seriously taken into account.
But it wasn't nature they truly feared -it was its magic.
Humans never succeeded to understand magic -it was considered unreachable. Only a small group of people that repeatedly refused to take part in the "vision of civilization" decided to co- exist with the magical elements and spirits of nature. These people were the first human inhabitants of the Enchanted Forest and the ancestors of the future indigenous Northuldra.
As time went on, people grew more and more arrogant, thought they were capable of everything and gradually stopped believing in nature's power. They began sacrificing and falsely taking advantage of nature's goods. Seeing their audacity getting out of hand, the spirits of air, fire, water and earth sought help from Ahtohallan, the mythical river said to hold all the answers.
The then- small glacier, foreseeing the consequences of people's hauteur, sacrificed a part of herself and sculpted a female figure, with hair and skin as white and pale as freshly fallen snow and eyes as blue as shining ice. With her ancient magic, the glacier gave life to the woman, who was none other than the Fifth Spirit.
According to scanty myths, the woman had achieved great and extraordinary accomplishments in her previous life and the magical river had collected and kept her soul to be used for greater things when the right time would arrive. However, those speculations never came to be confirmed.
Nonetheless, why she was there and why she was chosen, that she never came to know. And a part of her wondered if she ever would.
People's conceit kept growing in an astonishingly fast pace while the Fifth Spirit was given a duty -to connect humans and the magic of nature, as well as protect the only home she would ever know in her existence; the Enchanted Forest.
Apart from her duty, she was also given a power no human had known and no spirit had possessed -the ability to create ice and snow, to control and bring winter. After connecting with the other elements, she was also gifted and given powers to represent all four spirits, such as wings, the ability to strike lightning and control the water, as well as the power to cause earthquakes.
The Fifth Spirit was sent to humans after fully mastering her powers and understanding her purpose. Under the guidance of the unseen deity, people began having faith in nature and underlying yet great respect.
However, this was not an easy task to achieve. It took her almost a hundred years to restore people's faith and trust -but she successfully accomplished it.
Each passing day her power grew significantly, and so did her fondness for her creator. To show her gratitude, she used her unprecedented power and expanded the length and height of her beloved glacier, making Ahtohallan an extension of her powers and mostly, herself.
To honour her child, Ahtohallan assigned to her a new task; she had to visit a chosen woman's dream and recite a poem that would soon be heard from every young Northuldra mother's lips -the lullaby of Ahtohallan. The old glacier also gifted her with a beautiful staff that could summon power and turn into a crystal necklace when unneeded.
Having already mentioned the lullaby, it's important to subjoin the meaning behind a specific lyric -"dive down deep into her sound, but not too far or you'll be drowned". The youthful spirit created a sheer drop that ended to an ice sheet to keep there the utmost truth, for only the most selfless souls would be fearless enough to ignore the warning, as well as brave enough to dive into the abyss. That, if anyone would ever manage to reach the frozen river. For the mighty Water Nokk -who shared a very special bond with the Fifth Spirit- guarded her secrets.
For the very start of her existence -as well as in the meantime of her mission to restore people's faith-, the Fifth Spirit would travel across the Earth to bring winter and joy to the children. She was the very first winter spirit  -Jack Frost made his appearance a lot later. Legend has it that she was the Snow Queen the Danish author, Hans Christian Andersen, spoke about in his fairytale. However, unseen as she was, this theory had never had a requisite basis and was never further explained.
As time went on, the forlorn deity was assigned tasks that aimed for specific, chosen people freeing their potential, resulting their lifework to be considered admirable, and almost magical. All spirits had agreed there were and there would be humans that deserved to be known for their own "magic". The Fifth Spirit helped people accomplish dreams and bring visions to life, as she was the only spirit that had the power to transform, painlessly get into one's head to guide and/or give advice and take a human form of any needed age as well as gender when one's achievement was considered of great difficulty. She even had the power to seek a specific ability she didn't possess -which would later on be declared hers- so her efforts could be crowned with success.
She could do anything. There was only one thing she was unable to do; feel.
She was emotionless.
Even her fondness for her mother was taken away after the second century passed. It was thought that if she was given the ability to feel, she would show mercy and compassion and her unlimited patience would spare.
So forsaken she remained. Nameless and isolated, unseen and walked through by people, having to serve her cause on her own, merely meeting with the other spirits on specific occasions.
One of them was on the first day of spring every five years, when everything was blooming, blossoming and growing. A great part of the Enchanted Forest was her deed -she expanded its length and grew more trees, more grass, bloomed more flowers, added more bushes, a small river -where the Earth Giants would be sleeping in the future- that floated into a waterfall which ended at a sheer drop, a pit full of black rocks later known as the Lost Caverns. Because of this, the spirits gave her the appellation "The Reincarnation of Mother Nature" -the only name she was ever given.
For most of her existence -as long as she was waiting  for her next task to be handed-, she lived close to her glacier. Away from any kind of life, on her own, in her Ice Palace of memories. She spent so many years close to it, that her fondness returned and she wanted to praise her treasured river.
So she gifted her her voice.
Her act was pure and sincere and played a significant role in the Enchanted Forest's and spirit's future. The iconic and quintessential call would later on be heard, and then, much later, known worldwide as one of the most famous melodies of the Gregorian Chant -the "Dies Irae".
During one of her missions, on the fjord south of the Enchanted Forest, while she was making sure the protector of people, the famous warrior of old, Aren, had achieved his life-changing goal, something changed. Aren was a little bit like her, a protector who served people as his cause. She was protecting the Forest and was serving both nature and humans. Yet a big difference grew the gap between them; he was loved and surrounded by people.
He was feeling.
She wasn't.
Occasionally, she would roam the night skies to witness a life she had never known, to witness how people felt.
And remind herself how she couldn't.
She had been told to distance herself from sunlight, as if she was a single snowflake that would melt when she met with sun's light. She had been told humans were weak, mischievous and unpredictable creatures. She had been told she was greater and superior. Yet she caught herself longing to spend a day warm in the sun, longing to see people dancing...
Longing to feel.
And so she did. Painfully, her as cold and hard as ice heart melted and its first beats sounded like heavy raindrops hitting the dry soil loudly.
She had never felt so alive. She had never... felt.
However, her accidental action required a cost to be paid.
The same, previously mentioned scanty myths, referred to another woman's soul, which had been collected and kept by Ahtohallan. She was certain she would be the one given the great purpose and when she wasn't, her soul never reached the heavens as she swore revenge on the young soul of the Fifth Spirit. Hiding her true intentions, in Ahtohallan's chambers she remained, nurturing the young spirit like mother Ahtohallan did.
Once she learned the youthful deity had broken the laws she had been restrained from ignoring, the resentful soul brought her bitter foe to the Enchanted Forest, secretly from Ahtohallan, and for the first time in forever, she allowed her to feel.
While she burned her.
The Fifth Spirit was set on fire and was obliged to feel her skin melting, like snow on a bright, sunny day. It was unimaginably painful. Her haunting call, that was later on used by a young Northuldra girl, tore the sky apart and meant only one thing;
"Help me".
If it wasn't for Ahtohallan's and Water Nokk's intervention, the Fifth Spirit would have vanished. The evil soul was banished to the Lost Caverns, a place with no way out, where one would be at their lowest emotional point from that day forward. However, before she was sent away, the hateful soul put a curse on the traumatized spirit -when she failed to serve her cause, she would be burned. If the mistreating soul still existed, that no one ever confirmed.
After her adored water horse healed her with the water's curative properties, the Fifth Spirit swore not to feel again, and accepted the prohibition of getting any near the land where the future kingdom of Arendelle would come to be.
Thousands of years passed and the unseen spirit's heart had gotten colder than ice, preventing her from repeating her mistake. Ahtohallan and the other spirits mourned for her, for she was not who she had once been, and made great efforts to change the past's design, intentionally forgetting what had been done was unchangeable.
Despite her change -and most likely because of it-, the Fifth Spirit had dedicated most of her attention to her precious forest. Seeing this, Ahtohallan assigned her the task of looking after a young Northuldra girl, so the deity could be surrounded by her forest.
The Fifth Spirit and the young Northuldra were somehow connected. Iduna, the young Northuldra, would occasionally hear the eerie melody of the spirit, since the deity would "sing to those who hear". The girl would also be seen playing around with Gale, the feisty Wind Spirit. Iduna was connected with nature in an unexplainable way -she was different and destined for great things; she was chosen.
One day, ships arrived at the entrance to the fjord south of the Enchanted Forest -wooden ships full of people who were determined to create a home for themselves near the water. Soon, the kingdom of Arendelle came to be and the Fifth Spirit knew what that meant.
The newcomers were welcomed by the Northuldra's ruler when he met with their king on a cliff as the sun set. The leaders firmly shook hands at this meeting, which was seen by others only in hazy silhouette. Yet the deity saw everything clearly.
To demonstrate their goodwill and friendship, the Arendellians built a mighty dam in the Enchanted Forest. They placed it on the river that flowed into the Arenfjord, the deep blue body of water upon which Arendelle Castle had been built. The dam connected all the lands and made it easier for the Northuldra and their reindeer to roam. King Runeard, the leader of Arendelle, offered it to the Northuldra as a symbol of peace and cooperation between the two groups. But the powerful spirit could see past his facade.
When the dam was complete, the Arendellians threw a great celebration. Northuldra from all over the land gathered at the base of the dam to mingle and feast with the Arendellians. The Fifth Spirit tried to warn the indigenous tribe about the trickery behind the kindness for months but no one listened -they were all busy welcoming and celebrating with the frenemies.
The poor spirit could see how it would all end and attempted to warn young Iduna. But it was too late -the battle had already begun.
Arendelle had turned out to be harmful once again. And as the lush beauty of her beloved forest was being destroyed, as the chaos continued beneath her, she cried, with her plangent call shaking the trees and crumbling the ground.
Her cry echoed as another voice synchronized with it -a pleading for help. Her eyes spotted Iduna holding a young boy in her embrace, as the girl called for help in agony. The Fifth Spirit, overcome with grief of centuries, wailed her eerie melody, mourning for her forest.
As well as for herself.
Her end was near and she was about to meet her tragic fate. She had failed to protect the Forest. She had failed to serve her cause -and the curse continued.
The Wind Spirit heard her call and took the children to safe ground. But it was the only one who listened.
Overcome with rage, the Fifth Spirit cried sorrowfully one last time before a mist, as thick and impenetrable as stone, enveloped the forest, as a promise she would forever guard it from foreigners. Then she disappeared, since people had stopped listening.
However, this was not her end. The Wind Spirit carried the remaining bits of her body to the devastated glacier that grieved over her lost daughter for days, in the meantime causing great parts of herself to collapse. The Water Spirit, overwhelmed with pain as well, told the river about the girl the Fifth Spirit was assigned to look after. Ahtohallan understood the importance of the young Northuldra's deed and finally let the soul of the deity find its new body, knowing she would not return the same.
The Fifth Spirit's soul travelled across the skies and on the Northern Lights above Arendelle it remained, looking after young Iduna, for she was destined to carry in her womb the reincarnation of the lost spirit.
And so, the spirits waited -waited for the Fifth Spirit to be reborn and return to where she belonged.
They waited for her to rise again.

Finders keepers
Tumblr media
The thing with magic, Stiles mused to himself, was that one should be very careful what one joked about, lest one wound up being the butt of a joke. Or maybe it came with territory; maybe it was the good old Beacon Hell once again throwing him a curveball.
He was dizzy and cold and absolutely lost in the woods and all he wanted was to get to safety where he could burrow into a blanket or two.
The scenario was getting old, he had lived through its various variations several times in the last two years; but was today the day his luck ran out? Another couple of rogue asshole hunters of the Gerard Argent school of thought decided that he was a prime squishy target; they ambushed him between the running track and the preserve, where he promptly took off to escape them.
Why were the hunters still –still!!! – the operating on the assumption he and Scott were best of friends and Stiles could be used as a message? He didn’t even share classes with him at school anymore beyond lunch period, considering that Scott spent every free moment of his time gazing longingly at Alison and failing his classes, while Stiles was busy testing out of everything as soon as possible. Previously, the only reasons to graduate with the rest of his year were his friendship with Scott and his designs on Lydia, and both reasons were over without even offering the dignity of closure in form of a big gesture or an impassioned speech. They simply moved on with their lives, treating Stiles like an afterthought, a mere footnote in their stories.
Okay, alright, he couldn’t exactly begrudge Lydia’s actions, since he was exactly that for her, but he thought he and Scott were brothers. Their friendship the stuff of legends…
He leaned against a tree for a moment, trying to find a familiar landmark – how far could he have run, realistically? It was getting darker and while he wasn’t losing much blood, as long as he was moving the cuts would keep reopening. Should have stayed with the corpses and conserved his strength, waiting for help? But there wasn’t nothing to be salvaged from them, the way the hunters flash-froze and shattered into small, disgusting ice chunks. The last thing he needed was to be either found at the scene of a crime with no rational explanation for what happened or to trip over his feet and right into the melting bloody goo. Whenever Stiles thought about gaining useful superpowers, he imagined something flashy like throwing fireballs through the air or calling down lightning – somehow that fit his aesthetic much more. So when he made that offhand joke about being the abominable snowman, he truly was being facetious. They lived in fucking California – he could count the occasions where he had seen more than a handful snowflakes in winter on one hand, much less when it covered the ground and stayed white for more than a day, climate change and constant fires notwithstanding.
If his magical powers over snow were genetic, wouldn’t he somehow have been found out already? Who in their right mind would even suspect look for a princess Elsa near the border to Mexico?
So what superpowers did Stiles manifest in a fit of cosmic irony? Throwing ash around and surprise frostbite. As abilities went, they were somewhat underwhelming. Though, to be fair, the last one did save his life today. One positive outcome of the way he was introduced to the supernatural was being disabused of the notion that it was possible to achieve a peaceful resolution to every conflict. Not that he was exactly a pacifist before, but as the son of the sheriff, he was taught to try legal and non-violent solutions first. If one side started their negotiations with attacks and torture, though, they weren‘t acting in good faith, so what good did it do to shoot to wound in response? Either you fucking annihilated them or they annihilated you.
As a squishy, spazzy human his defense choices were limited anyway, and he couldn’t conceivably take his bat with him everywhere. So when those two brain trusts started cutting him up, taunting and making incomprehensible threats, he had only his big mouth and his moxie as weapons available, neither of which were all that effective against two burly guys with knives and guns. Still, Stiles refused to play a frightened victim when there was nothing to be gained by it and he felt a familiar, focused kind of fury roll over him. It was familiar in the way his mind focused whenever he went on one of his research binges, seeing a few cues and extrapolating patterns, lining them up like dominoes before his inner eye, sketching an outline of an idea, filling in the empty areas between the lines out until a full picture emerged.
It was familiar in the way he worked out a solution to a problem with single-minded dedication and pursued it. Where everyone just saw his fathers high cholesterol, Stiles saw a real danger of winding up in the system, because his father was his last family and never bothered to make further provisions. Where others saw isolated instances of typical school bullying with him and Scott as designated targets, he saw a long-running problem emerge where he would be still end up being stamped a troublemaker for daring to fight the bullies and Scott ending up at the hospital – it was only for the best to get that reputation right away and demonstrate memorably just how ill advised targeting him would be.
The emotions became distant, as if disconnected from the events unfolding, and he dispassionately analyzed the hunters reaction to every insult, calculating the most effective way to rile them up and lose momentum. Even as he mouthed off to their faked disgust for siding with beasts instead of with fellow humans – as if he ever had anything in common with scum like them! – he was starting to realize that all his time delaying would be for naught. Help wasn’t coming. Nobody knew where Stiles was; while there were still some people on the track – which was amongst other reasons why he chose to turn tot he preserve - they were far away and who knew if they even observed the altercation. Furthermore, Stiles didn’t have plans for the evening and his father had a shift, so he wouldn’t be missed until tomorrow. Not even Stiles was capable of annoying someone indefinitely. The thought that he was going to die at the hands of two-bit villains that he would normally be able to run rings around, just when he was divesting himself of everything that still held him in Beacon Hills, made him angry, and he refused to give in with all the cold determination he could muster up.
He was so focused on his fury that he didn’t register the chill in the air, until… until he looked down and saw frost run up across the grass, up the trees and limbs, his breath falling instantly with a tinkling sound to the ground… Something moved in the dusk. Stiles stilled, hoping that it wasn’t a real mountain lion or worse, reinforcements for his torturers.
It was difficult to recognize what the shape was as it disappeared from view periodically, obscured by stretches of bushy undergrowth, but he was sure that it moved in his direction.
Suddenly, he saw the light reflecting for a second – animal eyes – and now he could see the quadrupedal, furry outline, but somewhat flattened in a distinctively unnatural shape.
Friend or foe? Stay or run? His indecision was rewarded when an animal suddenly broke out between tree trunks, much further to the left than he expected, and jumped right in front of him. The wolf was wearing a backpack, or should it be called a belly pack? It reminded him more than anything of a belt with big pouches, apparently meant to distribute the weight evenly on the sides, back and belly. At least it answered the question of friend or foe. Spurred by inaction, the animal huffed, as if asking "what are you waiting for?“ and moved to present its left side. The bulge there looked like it held bottles – Stiles was vehemently reminded how thirsty he was. "Yeah, right,“ he said and kneeled down, still wondering who it was - Derek or Peter, or maybe even Cora? Though, was this really a question? Derek and Cora would probably manage to exude broody disapproval even in a wolf form; and the animal before him displayed a playfulness that was distinctly Peter.
The wolf moved again, boxing Stiles in against the tree and sheltering him from the wind, while simultaneously also shoving his cold nose into his neck and licking a stripe. "Ugh, Peter, really?“ Stiles shoved at the animal ineffectively, but the resulting hug soothed something in him. He was safe now. His horrifying escape wouldn’t end up in an undignified death from exposure, just a mile or two away from civilization. The zipper finally budged. Peter thought of everything – there wasn’t only a bottle of water, but also a small thermos flask. A wrapped sandwich was dislodged as soon as the thermos was tugged out, too.
Food and warm fluids first – he needed to replenish his energy and warm up the core – and like he was an animal himself, Stiles wolfed it down quickly. His savior moved away and, with a lazy ripple, a naked Peter appeared, looking incongruously comfortable in his skin even huddling naked under a tree with a ridiculous belt-backpack that did nothing to obscure his naughty bits. There was no way Peter could have stashed his usual wardrobe in the pack, but he only needed clothes to not be arrested for public indecency, since the were’s higher body temp kept him warm, so a thin pair of sweats, a shirt and socks would suffice. "I smell a lot of blood on you, but not a corresponding level of pain. Are you hurt? Anything, that needs immediate attention?“ a husky voice broke the embarrassing silence. "No, zombiewolf, the blood is mostly hunters. I have some cuts and bruises, but I would rather get away from here as soon as possible. How did you even find me?“
The older man smiled at him inscrutably: "Darling, I will always find you.“
Stiles searched his face – was that meant to be a threat? An innuendo? But Peter just gazed back at him.
"Come, darling, lets get you home.“ He offered Stiles a foil blanket from the belt.
It was no use trying to solve whatever he meant – Stiles could mull it over when he had had a hot shower and a good night’s sleep. He wrapped the blanket around himself and climbed on Peters back. For what it was worth, he never felt unsafe with Peter, not even at his craziest, and the fact that creeperwolf was the one who came looking for him, when no else probably even knew that he was in danger, had to mean something.
Longingly, Stiles thought about Peter's intense remark that he would always find him - did he know that Stiles would do nearly anything that someone would not only find, but also keep him? But there was time to muse about it later. For now, he was content to have someone who would bring him home.

Kindred Spirits
While in the Enchanted Forest, Elsa squares off against three of the four elemental spirits. The first spirit appears when she is with her family. The second spirit appears when the five characters are in the presence of the Arendellian soldiers and the Northuldra people. Then the third spirit appears to Elsa alone.
It is my theory that the Wind, Fire, and Water Spirits, those being Gale, Bruni, and the Nokk, respectively, appear because they detect Elsa’s powers. They sense the presence of her magic, which makes them suspect she may be a spirit like them. Their “attacks” are actually tests in which they challenge Elsa to see if she IS truly the fifth spirit, and thus one of them, or if she is a fraud.
During her encounters with these spirits, Elsa must pass their tests, one at a time, to prove herself worthy of joining them.
These tests begin when Gale appears as a tornado. She aggressively sweeps up the whole group and swirls them around, but then she lets the others go while Elsa remains in her grasp. This clearly indicates that Gale realizes that Elsa is the ONLY magical being of the five. Elsa successfully stops Gale’s twister by shooting out ice, which leads to the creation of the ice sculptures. Afterwards, Gale reappears as a swirl of leaves (her usual form), and becomes very playful and curious.
After Elsa and her family meet the Northuldra and soldiers, Bruni appears when he starts a fire in one tree, then he jumps around more trees and runs to several other spots, setting much of the forest ablaze. Elsa emits ice from her hands to put out the fires, but she barely extinguishes them before more emerge. When she finally corners Bruni and discovers that he’s just a tiny salamander, Elsa calmly approaches him, then dodges a spew of fire and puts it out after he hisses and spits it at her. Upon seeing what she does to the aforementioned fire, Bruni’s aggression turns to curiosity, and he cocks his head as he looks at Elsa, who does the same gesture. He then cautiously approaches Elsa, and she gently extends her hand, gesturing that she means no harm. After Bruni climbs into her hands and happily settles down, Elsa creates some snowflakes, which he eagerly gobbles up.
When Elsa begins crossing the Dark Sea to go to Ahtohallan, she faces her deadliest spiritual challenge yet when she encounters the Nokk, a water entity shaped like a horse and the guardian of said sea. This test proves to be more difficult for Elsa, not only because she struggles to swim through the choppy water and its huge waves, but also because the Nokk acts more aggressive than the other two spirits did. It repeatedly chases after Elsa and tries to drown her, but she uses her powers to steadily fight back at each of its attempts. After creating reins to hold on to and ride the Nokk, it continues to resist and bucks several times to try and throw her off. But Elsa valiantly keeps her grasp, refusing to be thrown off, and the Nokk finally settles down. Afterwards, it carries her to Ahtohallan, then disappears into the water after she disembarks. Before they part, Elsa and the Nokk bow to each other, displaying a newfound respect that has formed between them.
When Elsa freezes in Ahtohallan after discovering the truth about her grandfather’s crimes, Anna receives the last-minute message from Elsa about the latter’s discovery, and concludes that the dam must be broken in order to free the forest. By this time, the Earth Giants are still the only spirit(s) left to be confronted. With Elsa dead, and Olaf gone due to the loss of Elsa’s magic, Anna alone takes it upon herself to face the Giants. She does this by provoking them into following her to the dam and throwing boulders to break it. Upon being awoken, the Giants react aggressively towards Anna by trying to stomp on her and throwing their boulders as they chase her. But Anna succeeds in luring them to the dam and getting them to destroy it. Once the structure has fallen, Elsa is revived, saves Arendelle, and returns to the forest. With the dam obliterated, the Giants are tame once again.
Now Elsa facing off, or rather, not facing off, against the Giants earlier in the film, as opposed to the other spirits, is a different story. Like Gale and Bruni before, and then the Nokk later, the Giants sensed Elsa’s presence when she was at the Northuldra camp, which is why they appeared there. They were attracted to her magic, which made them think that she may have been one of them. However, while Elsa briefly thinks she can settle them like she did with Gale and Bruni, Anna convinces her that it wouldn’t be smart to confront them now. Realizing that she would put everyone at risk if she stayed since the Giants would likely return and persistently search for her at the camp until they finally found her there, Elsa decides to leave immediately and continue going north.
Unlike the other spirits, I think if Elsa tried to confront the Giants, it would have been harder for her to settle them unlike the others, mainly because there are several Giants and they are all enormous in size. @mike5579-t3a mentioned to me that Elsa confronting 40+ foot tall, heavy Earth Giants along with a group that consisted of the Northuldra, Mattias, the four remaining soldiers, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven would be a lose-lose or win-lose situation. Though Bruni’s fires were dangerous, they were quickly and easily extinguished, without having done significant damage to the forest, once Elsa calmed him down. However, the Giants’ size make them a bigger danger to everyone else, mainly because they and their boulders are capable of doing lots of unrepairable damage to the forest, most especially when they are in angry, aggressive states.
When it comes to other reasons why the Giants had to be confronted last, I think their monstrous size wasn’t the only problem. Keep in mind that in real life, earth is usually regarded as the most physical element in nature since it represents hard, solid objects like rock and stone. For that reason, I think the physical presence of the dam, a firm, stone structure, affected the Giants the most. By this, I mean that it made them the most aggressive of all four spirits because they are made of rock themselves. As long as the dam stood, the Giants could not be easily, if at all, pacified like the Wind, Fire, and Water Spirits. But once the dam was gone, the Giants returned to their original, peaceful state.
By the end of Frozen II, the Wind, Fire, Water, and Earth Spirits have not just reconciled with the Northuldra and Arendellians; they have resumed living in harmony with each other, the Northuldra, and now live alongside Elsa, the fifth spirit, in the Enchanted Forest.
Interestingly enough, earlier in the film, when the ice crystals appear after Elsa finishes singing “Into the Unknown”, she identifies them in the order of air, fire, water, and earth. This turns out to be a subtle foreshadowing of the same sequential order of the spirits that Elsa and Anna face on their adventure.

If you still want to do the hijack short prompts: finding a new dragon?
[I know I said I wanted ‘short prompts’ BUT THIS ENDED UP SUPER LONG, SO HAVE A ONE-SHOT INSTEAD.]
It was supposed to be a romantic flight. Hiccup had spent a week preparing for this. Just him and Jack (and Toothless, but his dragon knew how to make himself scarce) and the starry night sky, the world at their fingertips.
He'd made sure everything on Berk was settled ahead of time.
He'd made his dad promise to handle the incoming problems for just a day. He'd done it for 14 years, what's one more day, right?
And he made sure the Dragon Riders were all occupied, courtesy of Astrid and Snotlout. That had been a surprise. He'd never expected his cousin to fully support him on this endeavor, but Snotlout had showcased a surprising amount of maturity.
("He's been snapping worse and worse lately, Astrid! I don't want Hiccup to snap at me next, he might send me back to the Dark Deep and you KNOW I hate going there alone!"
"Oh for Freyja's sake Snotlout, will you shut up and help me ensure Hiccup and Jack finally have some alone time together?”)
So it was the perfect set up. He wasn't busy, Toothless could take him anywhere (so could Jack, but there was something special about flying on dragon-back that Hiccup wanted to share with his intended) and Hiccup had scoped out the most perfect location to just sit back and enjoy themselves.
Of course, plans don't always survive first contact.
It was just his luck that there was a dragon that had made its home on the colder than average island Hiccup had been planning to take Jack to.
And what was worse, even Toothless made a valiant effort to ignore the wailing cries. Hiccup had tried to convince Jack that he'd get everyone to check it out tomorrow, but he'd been pinned with a rather harsh look from the winter spirit, who then promptly unwrapped his arms around Hiccup's waist and purposely fell from the saddle.
Which in turn led to this.
"Aren't you precious," Jack cooed uncharacteristically, cradling the newborn dragon in his arms, the snow dragon mewling back and further curling up in the spirit's arms.
Resigned, Hiccup took out his notebook and began taking notes about the dragon cub they'd found. It looked strikingly similar to Toothless, but it was colored like a glacier of ice, its scales looking like frost had made itself home on the dragon's body.
The wing-tips, tail, and extra fins at the start of the tail were sharper than a typical Night Fury, as well.
One of the reasons Hiccup even pegged it as similar to a Night Fury was due to the damning feline behavior it was currently showcasing to his beloved.
"Maybe you aren't the last of your kind after all, huh bud?" Hiccup caressed Toothless' scales, eliciting a warbling noise in response. Hiccup watched as Jack fawned over the Tiny Tooth, playing with its claws and nuzzling its scales in delight.
Jack was really good with children. Even dragon children, it seemed.
And that knowledge....it DID things, to Hiccup.
Jack just looked so soft when handling kids. He might've looked like a troublemaker to most, but Hiccup knew that underneath all that bratty exterior lay a kind and compassionate soul who loved children just as much as Hiccup loved dragons.
He didn't realize he'd stopped writing in his notebook until Toothless nudged him gently with a questioning grumble.
"Hics, there something you wanna say?" Jack teased, peeking at him slyly from behind a curtain of white hair. He'd evidently caught on to the fact that Hiccup had been dumbly staring at the spirit for more than a few moments.
But Hiccup was nothing if not quick on his feet. Foot. Foot and metal prosthetic.
"Oh, nothing much, just waiting on you," he replied, grabbing hold of Jack's waist and pulling him against his chest. Gently, of course, he didn't want to startle the little one. "You're quite taken on him."
"Her," Jack quietly corrected, seeing the dragon in his arms peek curiously at the Viking, but not having enough bravery to leave the spirit's arms. The little dragon burrowed further into Jack's arms once Toothless crawled closer to the couple, curious about the young dragon as well.
"Huh. You can tell?" Hiccup asked, leaning his head against Jack's tuft of white locks. He absolutely loved the height difference between them now that he'd grown into his age. Call it a small petty payback from when Jack used to use his own head as an armrest.
Besides, if he wasn't getting his ideal date, the least he could do was shower his Snowflake with affection.
Jack nodded, staring up at him fondly, knowing exactly what Hiccup was doing, and not giving him any malice from it. That was another thing Hiccup loved about Jack. He clearly loved jokes, played them all the time, and when the joke was turned on him, he was a good sport about it. As long as the joke didn't touch sensitive topics, Jack saw the humor in everything.
"Her kind's a part of my domain..." Jack said, leaning more into Hiccup's hold. "Ice and snow. I don't know how. I can just tell."
"So I see," Hiccup carefully held his free arm out to the dragon, letting it come to him. "Do you want to keep her?" They watched as the ice dragon slowly sniffed at Hiccup's hand, and began to warily nuzzle into it, trusting the human more and more once she saw that Hiccup would not hurt her.
"Can I?" Jack asked, chuckling as the dragon barked curiously at Toothless, fear and caution all but blown to the wind now. Toothless happily warbled and nosed his new friend, yelping when a tiny ice blast hit his face.
Hiccup shrugged. "Sure. What are you gonna name her, though?" There was certainly plenty of room on Dragon's Edge. And Jack was more of a free spirit who hung around Berk merely because his boyfriend lived there. It was never a question about space.
"Elsa," Jack said, smile on his lips. Hiccup recognized the look. It was one of Jack's secret smiles, one that said 'I find it funny, but I know none of you get it and I'm going to sit here basking in the irony of it all.'
It was one of Jack's most common looks. Hiccup knew why the look existed, but his friends and village did not. He had to admit though, it was pretty funny seeing his friends try and fail to figure out why Jack had that particular look about him at oddly specific points.
"Am I getting context or what?" Hiccup nudged Jack.
Jack laughed merrily. "Oh, its not anything big. Just a really, really infamous...story from back home."
Hiccup rose a skeptical eyebrow. "How infamous are we talking here?" It was always fun, gathering bits and pieces of where Jack came from, slowly piecing together a puzzle about Jack's background.
Jack had to turn away and bit his lips from laughing too hard. By this point the newly dubbed Elsa had jumped out of the spirit's arms and was playing with Toothless in some sort of contrived dragon game.
"I'll tell you about it...later," Jack decided, once he finally managed to get his laughter in check. He was clutching his staff tightly, another hand covering his mouth. Hiccup shrugged and opened up his notebook again, seeing as Toothless was inadvertently giving him more information about what Elsa's kind was like.
After a few minutes, Jack spoke up again. "Hiccs?"
Hiccup hummed in response, motioning for Jack to continue.
"I'm really sorry this date thing didn't go the way you were planning it to...I know you wanted it to be only about us."
Hiccup abruptly stopped writing and turned to look at Jack, who wasn't looking at him and hanging his head in shame.
"It's fine, Jack," Hiccup tried to reassure, but Jack made a frustrated noise and held up a hand.
"I'm going to stop you right there dragon boy. Let me finish." Jack rubbed his forehead. "I know how much effort you put into making sure nothing would distract us today, okay? You were busier than ever these past few days." He turned towards Hiccup, leaning against his staff once they were face-to-face.
"I mean...that is true," Hiccup agreed carefully. He'd never lie to Jack.
Jack laughed wryly. "I just had to go ruin that, didn't I?"
Hiccup's brows furrowed. "What do you mean?"
Jack pointed his staff at the two dragons. "I couldn't ignore that, Hiccup. You've been looking forward to this date all week and I had to brush it all aside the moment I see a dragon."
Hiccup...gets it, he does, but it would be a bit hypocritical of him to truly be upset at Jack if it were the case. "You don't seem to mind when I do it," Hiccup says.
Jack rolled his eyes. "That's because those dates were all instigated by me, babe. And very impromptu. I fully expect you to veer off-course when there's a new dragon around, you fire-breathing nerd."
"I understand you're speaking words, but I don't understand what they mean," Hiccup snarked in reply.
"Don't be a jerk. Anyway, my dates are clearly spontaneous, very prone to distractions. I don't mind that. But I do feel bad when my boyfriend went through all the effort of planning our perfect little date, only to get detoured by a dragon who, by all accounts, isn't in danger or dying," Jack sighed and looked away.
He only looks back at Hiccup because the viking cups a hand around his cheek and turns the spirit's head towards him. "Look," Hiccup said. "I know I acted a little annoyed when you wanted to check this out, back then."
Jack grimaced but nodded.
"And I appreciate that you actually noticed, and I accept your apology, however long-winded the explanation may have taken for me to get it." Jack snorted at that.
"But," Hiccup lifted his other hand to cup Jack's other cheek. "In the long run, it doesn't matter. Jack, I love you. I love you a lot. And as long as you're with me, and I'm with you, I honestly don't care what we're doing. I just want to do it with you by my side. That's all I could really want."
"You big sap," Jack teased, warmth in his eyes. Frost dusted his cheeks, and the only reason Hiccup knew was because he was still holding Jack's face in his hands. "Are you going to kiss me, or what?"
"It was on the agenda," Hiccup cheekily replied, glad that the doubt and guilt plaguing his boyfriend's mind was finally clear.
Jack let himself get pulled in by Hiccup's arm, until they were pressed against each other. Jack circled his arms around Hiccup's neck, and leaned in.
A few meters away, Toothless began herding Elsa further from the two, knowing they would be fully occupied by each other for a while.
For a very long while.
The things he did for his human.
[A/N: Where’s the tag system why isn’t it here? Anyway thank you for the prompt! It was sitting in my inbox for a few days but I had some motivation today so I figured I could write this. It was supposed to be short, but...clearly my hands have other ideas. For the other prompts I received a while back, maybe send me an ask about it? Thanks.
Also, more notes about this HiJack AU:
-Jack’s definitely from the events of ROTG. He’s not ‘stuck’ in the era of vikings, per se, but he can definitely travel to and fro. Because reasons.
-Hiccup knows Jack’s from a distant future. He just doesn’t know what’s IN the distant future and doesn’t care much about it unless it directly relates to Jack.
-None of the others but Toothless knows about Jack’s situation. Jack’s a little shit that leads them on and has them guessing. Astrid has stopped trying to attack Jack about it when she realizes Hiccup knows what Jack is hiding. That’s apparently good enough for her to trust Jack.
-This happens roughly before the second movie. I mean, duh. But it happens after RTTE.
-If you don’t know what dragon I used, it’s called the Ice Fury, a fan-made dragon in the HTTYD fanon wiki. Takes a bit of searching to actually find it, but I found a good pic of what I imagine it to look like:
Tumblr media
-just imagine a baby form of that, thanks.
-Yes I did indeed name her after Frozen’s Elsa. Fight me.
-I’m of the personal headcanon that not all Night Furies, subspecies or otherwise, are extinct. In this AU, they aren’t. They’re just a lot more south than the Vikings are used to. They’re rather north-bound, aren’t they?
-I honestly don’t know why I put so much thought into a one-shot that isn’t going to be continued in any way. If you want to take inspiration from this AU, go ahead, I don’t mind. Just be sure to credit the appropriate sources. Including me.

Into the Unknown: Making Frozen 2 - Review
Finally finished watching all 6 episodes of the Frozen 2 Documentary! My consensus is drum roll please... it was not very good.
Things I liked first: I loved watching the team get emotional when they saw their projects coming together (finishing Into The Unknown, etc).
Watching random guys rub rocks together for sound design was funny.
I loved looking at the Disney offices and all the merch, posters, art, etc.
The actors/workers were very charismatic and believable. They seemed to legit enjoy their work and were happy to help.
- -
Criticism:
The documentary promised to be a look into all the hard work, collaboration, blood, sweat and tears, it took to make Frozen 2, but it came off more as a look into the very final stages of Show Yourself and a few unfinished animation clips. So little of the actual movie making process was shown and it was extremely misleading and frustrating.
-
Songs:
Songs and the songwriting process were definitely the aspect of F2 Disney was most comfortable showing, but that’s saving very little because the attention per song was extremely restricted and lopsided. About 50% of the entire docu-series focuses on just Show Yourself while every other song gets about 20 to 1 minute(s) of screentime (in order from most to least discussion, it goes: Next Right Thing, Into The Unknown, Lost In The Woods, Some Things Never Change, When I’m Older, All Is Found, and Vuile isn’t even mentioned by name). And even when they did discuss these songs, they only showed the lyrics that got into the movie, no cut lyrics or alternatives were shown at all. So it was just long extended scenes of Jenn and the Lopez’ trying to decide whether they should or should not add parts to the song which we, as the viewer, already know were added. And again, they showed no alternatives, so it wasn’t a choice of A or B, it was A or maybe rewrite the middle-ish but no specifics.
They didn't even discuss the public outtakes / deleted scenes they've already released / planned to release like "Get This Right", "Seek The Truth", "Unmeltable Me", etc (they did mention “See They Sky” but nothing else).
The last thing I’d like to mention for this category is that they did discuss the intended emotions / themes of the songs they kept in. They talk about how Show Yourself was supposed to make you feel empowered and satisfyingly wrap up the story, how Next Right Thing was supposed to make you feel just as emotionally raw as Anna, etc. So I can give them credit for that. But again, these explanations became few and far between once they got into the “lesser” songs. Nor do they explain why certain songs were added to the story; for example When I’m Older’s entire existence was justified with “kids really liked it”. “Lost In The Woods” was an 80’s rock ballad because they kinda just wanted to make a 80’s song, etc.
-
Animation:
Again, just like the songs, Disney was very comfortable showing off the animation process, but only unfinished clips, models, skeletons, etc of shots that were actually used in the film and nothing else. But, I did have fun watching animators physically act out character movements, record them, and then animate them (ex: that poor girl who recorded like 5 shots of her own face singing, all super imposed on bobbing reindeer shaped bubbles for the Lost In The Woods scene lol).
The most new/deleted content they showed were storyboards and sketches of Show Yourself  where we got to see alt. backgrounds of Ahtohallan and young Iduna and and See the Sky which was a dance-off type thing between the Northuldra / Arendelle soldiers.
-
Story:
This, and every consecutive category, is where this documentary was severely lacking. They showed no alternative scenes or storylines like “Hard Nokks” or the secret library. Nor did they go into the intended messages/significance of the story elements they did use, like why they chose to trap the Enchanted Forest in mist, why they spared Arendelle, why Elsa left Arendelle, why they chose a dam for the physical boundary they needed to destroy (even though apparently it was loosely based on an IRL dam that hurt the IRL Sami people; I got this from outside resources), etc.
They also don’t dive into any character motivations (outside of the context of Elsa in Show Yourself/Into The Unknown, Anna in Next Right Thing, and Kristoff in Lost In The Woods).
They very explicitly refused to discuss any changes they made to the script. In episode 5 they spend a lot of time emphasizing the importance of audience feedback but refuse to show any actual feedback (they even talk about how they gave out questionnaires but don’t even show us a blank one). This was very blatant and annoying because they spent a lot of time looking DIRECTLY at the camera going on about how important feedback was, how being willing to change was important, how they DID change things, and how change impacted a lot of the movie (ex: cutting songs and simplifying things for children), but refused to show anything. The one (1) change they did show was the prologue, so we see young Anna and Elsa playing before we see Agnarr's flashback, but that was pretty much it.
-
Design / Environments:
Character design and dress design was not discussed at all. They do show us a few seconds of fabric physics for Elsa’s spirit dress and show us how they designed Olaf when he was pretending to be Grand Pabbie (using his snowball feet as ears and ferns as a cape), but nothing else. You’d think that since Elsa and Anna both had like 5 costume changes each, they’d want to discuss that, but no. Nor do they even mention Iduna’s shawl / the unity snowflake which had a ton of significance in the movie. They also don’t discuss the designs of the spirits or their symbols (or even water animation for the Nokk’s body which would’ve been perfect in the animation portions).
-
Research:
The only research we see them doing is visiting IRL glaciers for Ahtohallan in episode 3. This was neat and all, but also very bittersweet because they really emphasized how spectacular and breathtaking Ahtohallan was going to be, but it was literally just an empty cave made of ice; and not even shiny ice (like Elsa’s castle) just dark, flat, and blue. Like I know creating environments is hard but Ahtohallan is very literally empty besides a few extremely narrow hallways and dark colorless abysses. Like it may have been hard to build in a computer but it was NOT creative nor something to boast about (especially compared to the concept art they showed). But this is all my opinion...
They do show a black sand beach which greatly inspired the black sea, but otherwise they don’t show the research it took to properly replicate the Enchanted Forest (like plant life and ecology) nor any of the locations Elsa and the gang briefly passed through on the way to the forest.
Most egregiously of all they completely omit the Sami community and their contributions to the film. They don’t address them by name or even acknowledge the Northuldra are based on them. Nor do they mention the apparent collaboration they did with the Sami community to accurately replicate their culture. The closest they get to acknowledging them or their hand in the creation of F2 was that the subtitles described Vuilie was a "yoik". Which does not count, since no one even says it out loud. You could dismiss all my other complaints about the lack of content and deleted scenes, but this is just flat out disrespectful.
-
Ending Note:
To me, I just don't see the point of this. If this entire documentary was condensed into an hour long YouTube video and explicitly only about the songs/animation I would've been perfectly happy and would've given this an A! Maybe even more because the little parts about the sound design and interviews with the cast would've been little bonuses. But I can't because this is a 6 episode Disney+ only "documentary" on all of F2.
Tl;Dr - I expected a lot more, but was severely disappointed. I wanted an inside sneak peak on the making of one of Disney’s most iconic and my personal favorite IP, but instead I got 240 minutes of Jennifer Lee and the Lopez’ trying to feel the vibe of Show Yourself and crying. Surely they could’ve cut some of that out to talk about literally anything else. Watching this just felt pointless and I was never engaged nor were my curiosities satisfied.
-
Extra Note:
For about 10 minutes at the end of one episode (which may seem short but that’s like ¼ of an episode), the documentary takes a detour to talk about Ryder Buck. Ryder Buck was Chris Buck’s (one of the director) son who died shortly after F1 was released, and I mean no disrespect but the sequence dedicated to him had nothing to do with the film or documentary. One of the F2 character’s was named after Ryder, but that was the only connection (they don’t even mention if Ryder in Frozen was based personality-wise on IRL Ryder, just that they shared a name). The whole 10 minute sequence was literally just a charity event in Ryder’s name and Chris and his wife sitting on a mountain talking about how they miss him. Again, no disrespect and I’m sorry Ryder Buck died so young, but a documentary on Frozen 2 wasn’t an appropriate place or time to talk about him.
Crossing out this section because some people took this as an opportunity to attack Chris Buck and his son, which is completely unacceptable and disgusting.

Three Word Prompt
Three word prompt: Gelato-machine, pinecone, airpod
Words gifted by @daughterofhel, story inspired by the wonderful stream @patronustrip hosted yesterday! I’m a woman of my word: when I say I will write fluff by morning I SHALL
Hope you enjoy! [ao3 link]
-----
Anna didn’t really know how Elsa was managing it, but watching her sister scale the pine tree in the backyard really should have been on her bucket list, and Anna was regretting not being able to cross it off officially.
It was a hot summer day and their kitten Olaf had gotten out of the house, following a bird that had flown to the top of the tree. Olaf had spent the next fifteen minutes mewling and meowling at the top of his tiny lungs, stuck and frightened, until Anna had heard him and they’d leapt into action. Anna had volunteered to go get him of course, but Elsa had patted her shoulder, rolled up her sleeves, and set to climbing.
She was about six feet up when Anna recovered the use of her voice to say, “Are you crazy? You’ve never climbed anything in your life!”
“Yes I have,” Elsa tossed over her arm, searching for her next handhold. “I climbed all fifty stories of the North Mountain Hotel for that charity fund.”
“This is not the same thing!”
“I’ll be fine Anna,” Elsa hiked herself up another couple of inches, feathering the ground with dead pine needles. “Besides, who else is going to make the gelato? Me? It always tastes better when you make it.”
So here Anna was, in the kitchen of their shared home, prepping a frozen treat for a wonderful sunny day, watching a blonde head rise up, up, up in a canopy of green and brown. Occasionally there’d be another deluge of needles or the clatter of pinecones bouncing between branches, but shockingly, Elsa was making good progress. Little Olaf had stopped crying and was curled up into a quivering white ball.
“Poor little guy,” Anna said, putting the last of the ingredients into the gelato maker and flicking the switch. “I’ll have to let him have a little spoonful when this is ready.” She knew Elsa would chide her and say Olaf shouldn’t get any because he ran out of the house, but Anna also knew that underneath Elsa’s stern exterior was a massive softie. A softie who would almost certainly sneak Olaf a bite even after a lecture.
A buzz had Anna patting her back pocket for her phone, but she had no new messages. Another buzz came, this time Anna found Elsa’s phone abandoned on the counter. Just an email, but something else did catch Anna’s eye. The phone was playing music.
Curious.
It wasn’t coming out of the speakers, that much was obvious. Maybe it was connected to one of the various bluetooth devices in the house. Elsa liked to listen to music in her office and a few months ago they’d installed speakers in the living room for karaoke nights.
Anna grabbed the phone off the counter, walking out the screen door to ask Elsa about it.
Her question died in her throat.
Elsa had reached Olaf and was in the middle of extending her hand out to him. She was leaning precariously away from the tree, trying to coax him closer, but that’s not what made Anna’s mouth dry out in heart palpitating fear.
Elsa was high, so high that the branches had started to thin out and thin down. The one she’d chosen to plant her feet on was bending way too far, and Anna did not like the sounds it was making.
Anna cupped her hands over her mouth. “Elsa!” No response. “Elsa, move your feet!” Olaf looked down at the sound of her voice, but Anna could read Elsa’s lips as she reached out even further to regain Olaf’s attention.
‘Almost... there.’
Panic rose in Anna’s chest. Why wasn’t Elsa listening to her? She watched Elsa retract her hand just long enough to move a piece of hair out of her eyes and behind her ear. Anna squinted. Then she looked at the phone in her hand, the one still playing music without sound.
“Oh my god,” Anna whispered. “She’s wearing airpods.”
CRACK.
It all happened in a few seconds. The branch snapped, Elsa fell, eyes wide with surprise as the sudden onslaught of gravity made her weightless. Anna’s feet pounded the earth, bringing her to the base of the tree just in time to catch her sister.
But physics is a fickle mistress and both women had plenty of momentum.
Anna’s knees buckled at the sudden weight in her arms and she and Elsa rolled forward, coming to a decisive and loud stop when they crashed against their neighbor’s fence. Anna was upside down, feet above her head, Elsa splayed across her middle, limbs everywhere, both of them breathing heavily and staring up at the sky.
“Wow,” Anna managed after a few minutes. “Those memes are not as funny in real life.” She looked down at Elsa, who was staring at her oddly, but that’s not what made Anna bust out laughing.
Elsa’s hair was a mess. Pine needles stuck out this way and that, knotted in her bangs and making her braid look like a porcupine. Patches of hair were absolutely slathered in sap and dotted with chips of bark. She had scratches everywhere: her face, her arms, her legs, there was hardly a single inch spared.
She was completely undignified and it was sending Anna into mild hysterics.
“Oh my god my ribs,” Anna wheezed, slapping the ground as she howled with laughter.
“Your ribs,” Elsa griped, picking needles out of her hair and flicking them at Anna’s face. “I’m the one who fell out of a tree. My back is going to be so sore tomorrow.”
“Well I practically got my arms ripped off catching you, so I think we’re even,” Anna winced, slowly regaining control of herself. “Jeez you’re heavy, get off me.”
There was a small sound behind Anna’s head that stopped both of them. Anna craned her head back and Elsa propped herself up on an elbow, digging into Anna’s hip.
Olaf mewed again, tottering on baby kitten legs up to Anna’s forehead and giving it a quick tap with his paw. Anna beamed.
“Hey little guy!” She curled a finger under his chin, feeling his little purrs. Then she frowned. “Wait, does that mean he--”
“Climbed down by himself,” Elsa groaned, leaning back and putting all of her weight on Anna again, whose protests were ignored. “I feel so stupid.”
“Stupid for climbing a tree with no experience, or stupid for doing that while wearing airpods?”
Elsa dug the heels of her hands into her eye sockets. Anna patted her shoulder. “It was a noble gesture. I’m sure Olaf felt much braver seeing you come to get him.”
As if to confirm her words, Olaf jumped up on Elsa’s chest and buried his head into her shirt. Elsa scratched him behind his ear.
Anna went to do the same but her hand came away sticky from Elsa’s shoulder. “Uh oh, the sap is starting to harden.”
“Well, I think this outfit is ruined anyway,” Elsa sighed. “At least there’s gelato to look forward to.”
“Yeah, that’s great and all,” Anna grunted, “but I’m starting to not be able to feel my legs, so if you could get off so that I could enjoy some of that sweet, delicious, frozen goodness, I would appreciate it.”
---
A detangling of appendages, two generous portions of gelato (and a little for Olaf), and an hour of hair brushing later, Elsa was finally back to normal and Anna was ready for the day to be over. They’d checked all the doors and windows of the house to make sure Olaf couldn’t get out again and had met back in their bedroom. No point in changing into a new pair of clothes if they weren’t going out, Elsa had said, so might as well make it pajamas.
Anna watched Elsa examine her shirt, frown pulling at her brows as her fingers wormed their way through yet another hole.
“I really liked this shirt,” Elsa pouted.
“I can get you another one.” Anna walked forward, putting her hand over Elsa’s to stop her picking.
“But I’ve worn this one to perfect softness.” Anna acquiesced with a shrug of her shoulders and a nod. That was harder to replace, but she was confident they could find another. Right now though she was a little distracted.
“We got this visiting that forest preserve up north, remember?” Elsa stretched the shirt down, extending the printed design. It was a snowflake of sorts, four sharp diamonds arranged around a spiked star center. It had come with a passionate tale from the tour guide about an ancient wrong being righted by an act of good faith, spiced up with tales of spirits and natural disasters. “The forest was so beautiful in the fall, all orange and red. And the air was so crisp and clean, every lungful was refreshing.” Elsa bounced her eyebrows. “It was pretty romantic, don’t you think?”
“Uh huh,” Anna replied unhelpfully. She’d been unable to put her finger on what was different when Elsa had walked into the room, but now that Elsa had mentioned the forest, it clicked.
Anna sniffed appreciatively. “Mmmmm, you smell good.”
Elsa scoffed, pulling her shirt over her head. “I smell like a tree.”
“No,” Anna pressed herself close, burying her face into the side of Elsa’s neck, breathing deep. She walked her fingertips over Elsa’s now bare abdomen. “I mean you smell good.”
“Oh.” Anna smiled against Elsa’s skin -- at how her throat bobbed when she swallowed, at how her sister’s skin flushed red hot.
Elsa coughed to recover. “Maybe I should fall out of trees more often. Or light a candle if this is all it takes.”
“You shouldn’t say that to your rescuer,” Anna admonished, pulling back.
“You’re right,” Elsa huffed, but the way she looked at Anna was gentle. “What would I do without you?”
“You’ll always have me.”
Elsa smiled and pressed her forehead against Anna’s, bringing that smell of pine back, filling Anna’s lungs. Anna's eyes darted down to Elsa’s lips.
“And if you don’t mind,” she said, hooking her fingers through the belt loops in Elsa’s shorts. “I’d like to have you, please.”
“Now?”
“Right now.”

My thoughts while watching Frozen II
Spoilers ahead!
Anna and Elsa playing with a snow forest like my sister and I did with Lego.
All is Found sounds really neat, but the “drowning” part gave me chills. Is like telling children the Red Riding Hood version where the granny gets killed and the wolf makes steaks with her flesh and wine with her blood and gives it to the grand-daughter.
Story-time with dad! The spirits coexisted that way with the Sami people? Cute. Kind of weird watching the Nokk acting like that after all the trailers where it tries to kill Elsa.
Whoa, all went to hell in one minute. And then, of course Agnar can’t recall very well what happened because he got hit in the head.
So he and Iduna were the only ones who managed to get out of the forest before the mist arrived? Sad.
That was the very night when the snowman incident happened?!
My headcanon of Elsa freezing something by being startled by someone on behind is true!
Cheesy song... but it sounds like the “enjoy your happiness because everything is about to change” song.
Charades night exactly as the leaks told it is with the gorgeous slap to Hans.
I watched a leak of Into the Unknown, but watching it on the theatre... I cried.
Wait a minute, the book said Elsa and Anna exchanged a look when the crystals appeared, it’s NOT happening! Of course not, since they weren’t on any of each’s range of vision.
So they managed to pick up some luggage before running from Arendelle. Just two seconds of footage which helped a little the plot of how did the people managed while the girls were gone.
Elsa has magical sensations about the magical stuff is happening.
So what Grand Pabbie does is divination? Hey! Where is the “magic is very alluring part”?
Olaf driving the gang mad on the trip like Donkey on Shrek 2. XD
Anna wanted to smooch but it ended on the clumpsy entrance for proposal.
The wagon didn’t get destroyed!
Ok, they are looked in the forest too, but they are like, ok, we just have to fix this, we will get out anyway.
Olaf lost in the woods, gets found on A TORNADO. Sorry, didn’t like the song.
Visions on the raging wind before calming down Gale.
WATER HAS MEMORY, Olaf makes Elsa disgusted (hey, dude who said that she’s supposed to have more stomach since she’s going to live in the woods, Olaf made Sven puke too!)
Sami people and Arendelle soldiers can’t seem to stop fighting and when they learn the visitors are from Arendelle Mattias was like “Ha! You’re gonna get down!” but they are like “you all need to calm down!”
Olaf telling stories and Mattias being us when we watched (even with the shock part about the southern jerk).
BRUNI ARRIVES. Elsa gets to action in a second. Everyone into action except Anna who trows herself into danger and almost gets killed by the smoke.
Bruni face revealed and his angry face looked fantastic to me. They put the difference of temperature on the movie (Elsa’s cold hand and Bruni’s hot feet)!
Sami give the welcome to the sisters with FREAKING VUELIE. It looked to me like the directors went like “you guys wanted Vuelie to fit more? There you have”.
Kristoff making friends. X3
The giants pass by and Elsa is like, “they could be here again since they are looking for me, we should leave now”. They couldn’t take Kristoff with them because he went to practise how to propose.
Yelana’s face on the failed proposal. LOLOLOLOLOL
Wrecked ship looked gorgeus! Also, very sad part with the predicted stuff by OUAT.
Elsa: you can’t go with me in this part, it’s too dangerous! Anna didn’t listen so she tries to go after her and she and Olaf got stuck in a cave by trying to reach for Elsa. Interesting methafor.
DARK SEA. Elsa was right, she couldn’t bring Anna on that part.
The footage didn’t show a long fight, but the jump-cuts do tell that Elsa probably spend a long time (maybe FREAKING HOURS) fighting a horse who tried to drown her all the time. Goosebumps.
The GLACIER. Elsa walking in and making the inside look more tidy and as gorgeus as those ice hotels.
“SHOW YOURSELF” CLIMAX!!!!!!!! EPIC
Snow statues memories. Elsa ashamed by her Let it Go moment, and touched by her parents’ romance and her “ew” with Hans and shattering it XD.
The grandfather’s memory. Elsa dissapointed at him because he was a jerk. When the dark part of the memory comes, it goes to the dark pit, Elsa following it to know what did he do, an echo of “not too far or you’ll be drown” warning her. To know the dark memory brings a risk. Elsa jumps into the pit of dark memories because SHE NEEDS TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED IN ORDER TO KNOW HOW TO FIX EVERYTHING.
Elsa FREEZES while sending the message..... like... as if, since she is an spirit too, the curse her grandfather brought is getting her as well. The other spirts went rogue, she gets what is her thing against her.
When Anna and Olaf are getting to an exit, Elsa’s message arrives. And then Olaf starts vanishing (it didn’t look that much as vanishing to me, it wasn’t even getting parts of him appart, just snowflakes going into the air).
Anna DEVASTATED. TT_TT
Anna going to the giants to destroy the dam in “Fuck it” mode. EPIC. I didn’t like her dependent behavior before this part the movie, but this was GREAT, she growed a pair. Mattias being reasonable since he wanted to end the problem and knowing there was a problem. Nice. I like you Mattias.
Dam destroyed = all spirts are free of the curse, including Elsa.
Arendelle being saved by Elsa. I thought she was going to freeze the water and vanish it, but she used a giant wall.
ELSA AND ANNA REUNITE. Cried a third time.
Kristoff leaves the complicated plans and just proposes to Anna. So beautiful. Keep crying.
Bruni is so cute....
Anna is the new queen! It makes sense to me, since she looks closer to the people than Elsa, she even jumped ahead to give orders before Elsa.
Mattias reunited with his crush!!! X3 Photography has arrived? Then it must be over 1839, since firsts photographs on Norway were on those times. And no, that doesn’t still give credibility to the theory of Tarzan being the brother of the sisters, because, as you remember, Agnar and Iduna died on the sea ON THE NORTH, and Tarzan’s parents made it to a coast close to Africa.
Somebody said the Sami went to Arendelle and Elsa and the other spirtis were the only ones on the forest. Wrong.
Seems like Elsa lives on a glacier. NEAT. Who else can say they live on a Petra-like icy palace with hints of ice hotels design with a lethal basement?
Anna’s queen gown was originally made for her coronation, but the time shown there is NOT her coronation. Is the ceremony when they show up the statue of the parents. They cut that stuff so the final thing would be the way it is (and I love it). That means Elsa didn’t miss her sister’s coronation. Also, is canon she visits her sister often and that they stay in touch.
Honeymaren and Elsa. No clues of any romance. She has a more significant relationship with the horse or Bruni. Still, I believe she came to save the fandom of incest and toxic relationships.
To sum up: I LOVED THE MOVIE.

December Flash Bingo
Card 014 - Thankful
The oven’s timer went off with a cheerful double beep. Bucky grabbed a rack of raw cookies, just waiting to go into the oven in his right hand and used the left to open the oven. He decided to forgo using a hot pad. His left hand was metal; he could crush concrete with it, bend steel rebar, surely he could hold a hot cookie sheet for two minutes rather than struggling into an oven mitt and then picking cloth threads out of the joins for an hour before bed, right?
The thing was, it didn’t actually hurt. Bucky’d been burned before, he knew that pain, and this wasn’t anything like that. He gripped the hot tray with one hand, set the cool one in the oven, shut the door and went to lay the tray on the cooling rack.
And couldn’t let go.
“Fuck,” he hissed. He almost shook his hand, like that was going to help anything.
Grabbed the spatula and flipped the cookies onto the cooling rack. His left fingers still weren’t working, clamped onto the sheet like he was hanging off a cliff.
It took more effort than it should have to take off his apron, but damned if he was going to go down to Tony’s workshop wearing a black apron with an angry cat wrapped in lights on the front, asking “Is this fucking jolly enough for ya?” which Sam had bought him and Bucky used because he still hadn’t gotten around to getting something else.
“JARVIS, is Tony in the shop?”
“As is his habit,” JARVIS answered. “I will make him aware of your… situation.”
“You can just call it dumbassery, that’s true enough,” Bucky said. He was almost to the elevator when the timer dinged. “Fuck.” He raced back to the kitchen, grabbed a hot mitt this time and dropped the second tray on top of the stove.
Downstairs, he barely rapped on the workshop door when it slid open.
(more below the cut)
“Hey, snowflake,” Tony said, looking up from his work, the goggles on his face making his eyes look huge and ridiculous. “Jay said you’re having a problem?”
Bucky just waved the tray at him. “Hand’s locked up.”
“Ow,” Tony said, reaching for the tray. “Metal’s still a bit hot, what--”
“Hot pads are a pain in my ass,” Bucky explained. “I get string and cotton stuffin’ all in the finger joins.”
“Oh, well, I’ll see what we can do about that--” Tony said, opening up the panel in Bucky’s bicep and plugging in the diagnostic tool. “Sit down, get yourself comfy while I make with the magic.”
Bucky slouched onto the bar stool he always used whenever he was in the lab, because hunchbacked on a stool was about as far away from laying back in a reclining chair as he could get and still be in a position where someone could work on the arm. Not that Tony had ever done anything that reminded him of Hydra techs, but he didn’t want to take the risk of a flashback and find Tony picking his teeth up off the floor.
Somehow, Tony knew that, too. He talked the whole time he was working, what he was doing, what was wrong, what tool he was going to grab, and in between that were little anecdotes of DUM-E’s latest triumphs (throwing a ball, even if he couldn’t hit anywhere near a basket with it) or little ondits from other affiliated groups that weren’t the Avengers (Johnny Storm came up frequently in those conversations, mostly because he had all the morals of an alley cat and the track record with the ladies of the same).
Bucky could relax; he could let Tony work on the arm, and not freak out.
“So, you uh, flash fried the potentiometers in your fingers, which stuck them in their current position. Easy enough to replace, and you lucky boy, I keep spares of all your parts on hand-- ha ha, on hand.”
“I should tax you for those puns,” Bucky sighed.
“Yeah, you got a penalty in mind?”
“I’m gonna take a liberty, next time you do it,” Bucky threatened.
“What’s that?” Tony said, pulling out a few tiny little parts from one of his endless wall cabinets. “You want me to flash my ankle at you or something?”
“Or somethin’,” Bucky rumbled. []
“I may test that theory,” Tony said, like that was a warning. Despite that, he didn’t make another pun immediately, which Bucky wasn’t sure what that meant. Eventually, he would, because Tony, and Bucky would claim his forfeit, and then at least he could kiss Tony. Once, probably, was all he’d get, but he could make a game out of it, and Tony wouldn’t take it seriously, and wouldn’t feel the need to rebuff Bucky or anything.
So, all in all, a good plan.
He didn’t watch as Tony opened up his knuckles, unscrewing tiny little plates and delicate wires, to install the new-- whatever they weres. Not like Bucky knew, or cared, any more than your average Joe who went to the ER cared about the names of the tiny bones in their hand. Thank you very much, Sam, no I don’t know how the arm works.
“You know I ‘preciate everything you do, ‘round here,” Bucky said. “Fixin’ my arm, keepin’ us all stocked and geared up. Hell, givin’ us all a home.”
Tony ducked his head a little. “Part and parcel of the whole billionaire gig, really,” he said.
“No, it ain’t,” Bucky said. “I seen some of the billionaires out there, and they don’t do shit with their money except sit on it like some evil Smaug.”
“Oh, now you’ve done it,” Tony said. “I’d like to be a dragon, I think.”
“You’d make a good dragon,” Bucky agreed. “That magic fella, Strange? I think he’d make a better one.”
Tony gave him a flat, unamused look. “I don’t like you anymore.”
“Well, you don’t like me any less, either, so you know, we’re good.”
“All right, see if you can let that go, Elsa,” Tony suggested, and when Bucky flexed his fingers, they acted normally. The tray clattered to the floor.
“That’s great, thanks so much,” Bucky said.
“Yeah? Make sure you rate our business, two thumbs up,” Tony said. With intent.
Bucky didn’t know how he could tell that Tony was taunting him, practically daring Bucky to kiss him, but he was.
“I said,” Bucky repeated, grabbing a handful of Tony’s shirt and dragging him closer, “no more puns, or I was gonna take a liberty.”
“Is it still a liberty if I want you to--”
Bucky didn’t answer that, tipping his chin and lining his mouth up with Tony’s, catching him mid-word. He took possession of Tony’s mouth with a long, lush kiss, pouring all his interest, his want and desire, his -- well, with the taste of Tony’s lip under his tongue, Bucky might even have to say it was love -- into it. He stroked Tony with his tongue, explored and tasted until they were both panting for breath.
“Oh,” Tony said, as they stepped back, just a little. “I have to say, I don’t really feel chastised here. Maybe you should do it again, just to make sure I get the point.” He accompanied that with a finger gun. “Or do you think that you have the situation well in hand? Do I need to palm down? Knuckle under?”
“Do I need t’ kiss you stupid?”
“Might take a while,” Tony said. “You’re welcome to try. I’ll even actively participate.”
“JARVIS,” Bucky said. “Privacy level 3, please.”
“My pleasure. And may I add, it’s about time.”

Monster
Link to AO3
----
Today was not a good day.
Elsa had woken up with an ache in her stomach. Not one of bad food or illness but instead the pangs of her elemental friends. Gale rushed in only seconds later, confirming her feelings.
They rushed her out to the edge of the stream that lead to the Dark Sea. Nokk and one of the Earth Giants- one Olaf had affectionately named Brock- were standing off like two knights before a duel whilst Bruni watched on in awe.
"At least one of you is sensible," she muttered to the air elemental. Gale simply fluttered through Elsa's hair- their way of laughter she had learned.
Elsa gave her siren's call, getting Brock and Nokk's attention. There was irritation in both of their faces, but Elsa was not attuned enough yet to understand their conflict without words or contact. Before she knew it, the elementals were fiercely fighting one another. Nokk threw streams of water whilst Brock retaliated shaking the Earth below.
Elsa ran out in between the spirits, holding her hands up. "That's enough!" she shouted, walls of ice building on both sides of her, but it wasn't enough. Brock smashed through the ice, tossing more at Nokk. Desperate times called for desperate measures. "Gale? A hand here?"
Gale lifted her up on top of the Brock, giving her the vantage point she needed. Elsa stood atop him, touching his head. Magic surged through her body into his, feeling all of Brock's emotions. He was angry, upset with how his stones were being eroded by water. He wanted revenge with Nokk.
Elsa spread a thin layer of frost, hoping to cool the giant down both physically and metaphorically. It wasn't much, but there wasn't much Elsa could do. Even still it appeared she made the wrong decision.
Brock bucked her off, sending her flying. She had shot off multiple rays of ice, desperate to save herself from the fall. While she was successful in that task, it couldn't prepare her for what was to come.
A child's cry.
Elsa ran towards it only to discover a small child, no more than five years old, a familiar snowflake pattern seared on her face.
Not again.
Hours later, the child was back in her mother's hut. She was wrapped in warm blankets and receiving plenty of love and attention. Elsa had been able to dissipate the ice quickly, and had thankfully not gone beyond the surface. The only lasting injury would be some light bruising to her face that would be gone in a few days time. Her mother reassured her that it was not her fault, accidents happened, but that didn't stop the guilt from wracking her whole body.
She rested on the cot in her own hut worrying. All she could see when she found the young girl was Anna. She had hurt someone with her magic. Again. It may have been an accident, but so was that fateful night.
She held Sir Jrogenbjorgen tight in her grasp. It felt silly, an adult woman clutching her childhood toy, but he gave her comfort. Anna brought him for her to comfort her when Anna could not. Deep breaths lead to shaky tears when she caught sight of Jrogenbjorgen's cape: two little gloves.
It had been so long since she had worn them. Anna was there. She was there to keep her level, keep her calm. It was easier to control with her support. But Anna wasn't here and it was hard to breathe and she was a danger to everyone.
A monster.
The gloves kept the monster contained. She couldn't risk it again. Even if her magic was a gift, it was a gift that could not be controlled. Her heart throbbed as the satin covered her palms and fingers. It felt so wrong, but it would be best for everyone.
A familiar mantra whispered in her ears, soothing her in spite of everything: conceal, don't feel; conceal, don't-
"Elsa?"
Elsa felt the lump in her throat nearly jump out at the familiar voice. Her ice mirrored the action, spreading out in small spikes below her. She couldn’t- she couldn’t control. It was hard to breathe, hard to think.
“Maren, you- you can’t be here,” she said in gasping breaths. Her ice whirled inside her. No, she couldn’t risk it. Maren would get hurt if she stayed, her storm growing more and more powerful.
Honeymaren shook her head, carefully entering the hut. “I’m not leaving you like this. Not now or ever. We made that promise remember?” Honeymaren touched her arm, gently playing with the band on Elsa’s wrist: the symbol of their betrothal.
Elsa tried to settle her breathing, let Honeymaren help. “I don’t wanna hurt you.”
Honeymaren shook her head, giving a small squeeze. “You’re not going to hurt me. We’re going to take care of you, get you through this no matter what it takes.” A twinge of sadness crossed her face. “Even if that means wearing your gloves.”
Elsa cried, tears freezing as her magic seeped out. Soon, Honeymaren’s arms were wrapped around her, warm and safe. “It was an accident,” she sobbed, clinging to Honeymaren for dear life. “It was an accident and she could have died and Anna did die from it once and I- I can’t let that happen again. I can’t be a monster.”
“Snowflake,” Honeymaren said simply, her voice thick with her own tears. “You aren’t a monster. Not to me. Not to Anna. Not to your people’s. Please believe me when I say that.”
Elsa gulped, tears still falling. “I don’t want to hurt anyone, but I couldn’t see her and it’s my fau-”
Honeymaren stroked her hair in an attempt to soothe her. “No one thinks it’s your fault. I promise you, this was not your fault.”
“My ice,” she murmured.
“Your ice, yes. But you didn’t know there was anyone there. You acted as though you were alone like you thought you were. You can’t be on guard all the time. It’s okay not to be.”
They laid there for a long while. Elsa slowly began to settle while Honeymaren played with her hair, little melodies parting from her mouth every so often. The ice in her hut slowly disappeared, magic retracting inside herself. The monster was gone, replaced by her knight in shining armor. As sleep tugged at her eyes, she only wanted one thing.
“Will you take off my gloves?”

Stray Kids reaction to their s/o having naturally cold hands and being called ‘olaf’
m.list
request:  How would Skz react to their s/o having natural cold hands and their nickname being olaf 🤣
a/n: im so sorry this took so long! im beating myself up because i was so busy and couldn’t work on this sooner. please enjoy <33
chan
Tumblr media
you never told chan that you had naturally cold hands
it was something he picked up at the beginning of your relationship
he grabbed your hand to hold it
but was really surprised by how cold it was
would get lowkey worried
would wonder if you’re sick because they were constantly cold no matter the weather but he’d calm down when you tell him it’s normal
would find the nickname olaf cute
minho
Tumblr media
minho would really question everything
like why were your hands so cold all the time?
sounds like he’s judging you but he’s genuinely curious
thinks olaf is a funny nickname but not good enough
‘babe is that even normal for humans?’
‘why did your friends even call you olaf? they should’ve called you elsa’
‘awww is it because i’m sophisticated and majestic?’
‘because you’re cold-hearted and stubborn’
‘says you!’
changbin
Tumblr media
would be quite taken aback
once he got used to it, it would be natural for him to just take your hands and try to warm it up
even though you tell him multiple times that he’s not helping
but at least it’s a reason to hold your hand
you tell him that some people call you olaf because of your hands
will jokingly get defensive but will even call you olaf too
hyunjin
Tumblr media
will crack up once he heard the new nickname for you
just finds the name clever and fitting
he also exaggerates so much.
you’d tap him and he’d act like he just got hypothermia or something
like it’s not that deep
but you’ll use it to your advantage because when he’s not looking you’d sneak your hands up his shirt and touch his bare skin, causing him to yell hella loud
but payback am i right?
jisung
Tumblr media
he’d honestly torment you the most
there would be times where he would literally not call you by anything else but olaf
will probably have your contact name saved as that too
will joke around and pretend to use your hands like an ice pack
just to make you laugh
or pout
he most preferably wants to see your pout because he find it cute
and he tells you that he’s only messing around with you so you won’t get actually upset
felix
Tumblr media
felix is a sweetheart we all know
he knows how naturally cool your hands are
when he hears that your friends call you olaf because of it, he confronts you about it
he thinks it’s kinda mean of them
he’s pretty sensitive and he thinks that you’ll get offended but he’ll be fine when you reassure him that you’re fine too
when he sees that you’re okay with it, that’s when he proceeds to also call you olaf
and you’re just like ‘i thought you were on my side though???’
seungmin
Tumblr media
he thinks your cold hands aren’t really a big deal
like it doesn’t really bother him at all
like some people have naturally colder hands and you just happen to be one of those people
he gets that
but like
he’s also the person that made up the nickname olaf
so you just look at him like ??tf?? ‘i thought you said it wasn’t that deep? why would you do me like that?’
and he just teases you because that’s what he does
really that trait of yours was an excuse to tease you
jeongin
Tumblr media
it’s the first time holding hands with jeongin
he made the first move and intertwined his fingers with yours
And you could literally feel him flinch and you already knew why
you knew he wouldn’t want to comment about it because he’s too shy and scared too
so you just tell him that that’s how your hands normally are
and he’d laugh and be like ‘yeah i wasn’t expecting that’
then you proceeded to tell him about the nicknames you were given, and he’d widen his eyes
he found it funny and teased you for a bit but eventually dialed it down
he liked ‘olaf’ but didn’t put that as your name on his phone
pretty similar though
‘my snowflake’ it read at the top of your screen
yeah that’s way better than olaf

Chapter 13! @gyubby99
At the end of the day, the group headed inside for family game night. Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff were on the couch while Jack sat on the floor just below Elsa. "Okay Anna! Your turn!" Kristoff exclaimed. Anna got up, taking her word from a basket sven was holding. She began acting out something scary. Guesses were flying around before Olaf said "hans". Anna perked up and waved her hand at the group. "Unredeemable monster!" "Greatest mistake of your life!" "Wouldn't even kiss you!" Time was up. "Villain!" Anna exclaimed. "Ohhh!" The entire group stated at once. "We all kind of got it," Olaf muttered. Before getting up, "Okay. Lightning round, boys against girls!" Olaf stated before taking his word. Jack stayed silent as Kristoff got almost all of the words Olaf acted out. "I dont think Olaf should get to rearrange!" Anna stated as she glared at Kristoff. "Doesn't matter! This is gonna be a sitch! Two sisters one mind," Anna stated. Elsa was up this time. When she got her word she made a few awkward movements, not entirely sure on how to act it out. "Uh, nothing! Air! Tree! People! Treeple! Wait that's not a word... oh, shovelboy! Teeth? Oh! Doing the dishes!" Anna exclaimed one after one. "Polar bear!" Olaf shouted. "Hey!" "Sorry," Elsa sighed, she was not good at this. Anna continued yelling out words.
Ah ah ah ahhh
The voice again. Elsa looked up in worry. Jack looked at her curiously, sensing something was wrong. "Oh! Uh, alarmed! Distracted! Uh.. worried? Panicking? Disturbed!" Elsas time was up. "Oh come on! You definitely look disturbed!" Anna shouted before slumping down onto the couch. "We won," Kristoff stated, a bit smugly. "Rematch?" Anna asked as she got up and walked to her sister. "Oh uh.. actually I think I'll turn in," Elsa stated with a smile. Jack got up to walk with elsa. "Are you okay?" Anna asked, a bit worried. "Yeah just.. just tired... goodnight!" Elsa replied before walking out of the door. Jack followed. Jack gave Kristoff a wink before leaving. Kristoff turned to Anna nervously.
"Hey, was everything okay back there?" Jack asked as he and Elsa made their way to her room. "I guess... it's just... You're gonna think I'm crazy," Elsa replied as she hugged herself with her arms and looked down at the ground. Jack opened her bedroom door for her before going inside with her. "I could never think that, snowflake," he replied as he followed her to stand at her window after she had gotten her mother's scarf and wrapped it around herself. "I keep hearing a voice.... and... I have this feeling inside that I'm meant to do more, be more... but I don't want to just.. up and leave," Elsa explained. Jack wrapped his arms around her, his chin resting on her head. "If you feel like you need to find yourself, there is nothing wrong with that. I will support you in whatever you need to do, as long as you take me with you," Jack reassured before kissing the top of elsas head. "Thanks Jack," Elsa muttered as she looked up at him. A knock sounded on the door in a rhythmic way in which Elsa knew all too well. "Come in!" Elsa stated. Anna's head popped in. "Yep. Somethings wrong," Anna stated. "With you?" Elsa asked. "No, with you. You're wearing mother's scarf, you do that when somethings wrong," Anna replied. Jack kissed elsas cheek before walking out of the room, leaving the girls to their conversation.
