yeah i get its a very fine line i guess i should have specified more. the podcast episode was about how she's always been in love with various people and was reading her childhood diary (before she was 10) and at one point mentions how she wanted to sleep with someone so they both went off on a tangent on when they started masturbating and having sexual thoughts. the entire podcast is chill just a couple talking to each other but this one jumped out because i feel like it should be a topic that's approached in a more considerate way maybe? especially in a country that shames anything sexual and there's barely any sex ed like at the very least put up a content warning at the start that maybe kids shouldn't be watching this. i used to teach kids 5-15 in age just before the pandemic and i saw first hand how easy it is to influence them in any which way you want if you dont give two shits. i had a handful of students from 8 to 13 years old, completely desensitized to any sort of violence because the parents didnt have a care in the world aside from being obeyed the way they wanted. and those are the same kids that watched her content. maybe im approaching this from a teacher's perspective still, and that's the issue i have. i learned asap how careful i had to be with topic and even word choices because they pick things up super fast and before you know it, you could end up with a parent screaming in your face (saw it happen to a coworker) about an offhanded remark made in passing. sorry this is too long i have a lot of thoughts on this subject? situation? idk lol
Ah I see your point! I think it's okay that they're talking about sex unless they're being highly inappropriate about it since their main audience is children (like miranda sings), adding a tag/description notifying parents that there will be mentions of this content would be helpful probably!

The JL finds out Captain Marvels identity and regrets it immensely
JL find out Captain Marvels a child and they start trying to parent him and just being awkward so it’s decided that Captain Marvel will join YJ (Clark started referring to Billy only as ‘son’ and ‘young man’ one time Billy saw an airplane and Clark leaned down and went “That there, son, is called an airplane and it-” “I’ll fucking stab you istg”)
To the public Captain Marvel is just extra supervision for YJ but the hero community knows it’s a way to discretely move Captain Marvel onto a team with people his age and be ‘safer’
But it doesn’t work out the way they want bc Billy’s a chaos gremlin much like YJ so they’re just doing dumb shit in the public eye bc they technically have ‘adult supervision’ (it takes Billy fifteen minutes to convince yj to go against being supervised by green lanterns)
“We’re literally your coworkers??” “I’ve literally never seen you before besides isn’t it illegal for cops to question a minor without their guardian present? 🤨” “Technically, he’s not their coworker bc he’s not in the jl anymore” “Kon” “What? I’m just saying!” “Stfu wait does Marvel even have a guardian??” “He doesn’t”
Anita and Billy are trading magic tips and teaching each other spells they should NOT have access to esp bc they’ve blown up thirteen city blocks and 1/4 of almost every planet they’ve visited with YJ
Cassie and Billy play high stakes games of catch above the earths atmosphere with missiles and shit in their free time and also during missions
Kon and Billy do just plain dumb shit they have no business doing and then playing up the ‘I’m just a baby…and I’m not even really human/I didn’t have a childhood so how would I know that I shouldn’t do that?’ excuse after bankrupting Luthor for the third time this month along with demolishing all of his newly renovated buildings (Which he and Greta repurposed to create low income housing and food pantries)
Cissie invites Marvel to all her Olympic events and he shows up to every single one with an obnoxiously large magical banner
Bart and Billy plan quips, one liners, and trash talk together and everyone hates it bc they only use the good ones on them but villains (along with everyone in their immediate vicinity) are subjected exclusively to shit like “nuh uh” and “make me”
Greta and Billy are taking down shady government operations with zero fucks to give (they had houses built for the people affected but they did also send a very long list of people to the hospital/morgue)
Billy makes Tim a magic skateboard that flies at like Mach 1 with so many magic cameras it’s concerning bc he thinks Tim being unhinged is funny especially it inconveniences or at least stresses out batman
But they’re mostly talking about what lies they’ve told the jl recently so they can plan their lies around each other “I lied to batman yesterday so you gotta back me up” and Tim’s fabricating evidence despite having no other information bc Billy will 100% “Aren’t you a so called ‘ethical’ billionaire? Nonono it’s whatever, I just thought you’d want to look out for the people but-”
And JL tries to lecture Billy about it ‘you should be more mature. I expected better’ and he’s just like ‘why?? I’m baby 🥺 I don’t know any better’
And Green Arrow’s so goddamn confused bc ‘Bro?? I’ve watched you do negotiations when Superman’s not available…’ ‘I’m just a little guy’ ‘I’VE WATCHED YOU STOP A WHOLE ASS INVASION IN TEN MINUTES’ ‘little baby man’ ‘But you’re one of the strongest members of the league???’ ‘You do know I couldn’t tie my own shoes like six years ago, right?’ ‘HOW OLD ARE YOU’ ‘Wouldn’t you like to know’
YJ and Billy just do a bunch of petty shit until JL has had enough and they’re like fine whatever it wasn’t a problem before

Hello! I just wanted to say that I've been using some of your posts talking about ASPD to help me better understand it to write an OC I'm writing. I have a question though, do you mind talking about more symptoms of ASPD that I should keep in mind when writing her?
Hi! Very glad to hear that my posts have been helpful and its cool that you are aiming for good representation!
When it comes to how ASPD symptoms should be written and which ones should make it into literature, theres different opinions, so this is gonna go a bit beyond your question I guess? Just to get a roundabout view.
1. Recovery Position
• First thing to rly keep in mind is that the intensity of the symptoms, the way they present and the way the character would deal with them, absolutely depends on where they are in recovery.
• It also depends on what you understand as recovery, be that the reducing of overall symptoms so they are less often present, the act of reducing the harm that is done by your symptoms (ex: trough redirection, or actively learning prosocial behavior) or just learning to find a way to live in society the way you are. No ones view on recovery or the way they go about it (or if they decide not to) is in any way better or superior, but it is an aspect that does change how many symptoms you show in which way, so its important to think about when writing a character.
2. Covert/Overt Symptom Presentation
• Another thing to think about, depending on what fits into your story, is the question as to whether your character is very obviously antisocial, or whether they go about it in a more covert secret way. Can they control which symptoms they show when? Or are they lost to their impulses and emotions? Do they come from a background where hiding their symptoms was essential, or were they able/forced to present obviously?
• Theres also a more mixed presentation where some symptoms are more obvious and others are not, depending on stuff like what meets your needs best, how much control you have and whether or not you've done any active work on the symptoms yet, etc.
• Then you can also think about the personal opinion of your character on symptom presentation. Do they believe that they should get to just be themselves? Are they of the opinion that people just have to deal with their symptoms and accept them that way? Or do they think that they have to hide some symptoms in order to fit into society better? Have they potentially adopted some prosocial ways of thinking and model their presentation after that? Depending on what it is, it will obviously look different.
3. The Causes of their ASPD
• Depending on the type of trauma they went trough that made them develop ASPD, presentation will differ. Its highly individual of course, but theres some themes, like people who come from violent households often being violent themselves, people who were neglected struggling with the social aspects like empathy & remorse, people who were lied to/manipulated/berated all the time adopting similar manners, people who had to commit crimes and/or witnessed those often continuing to do so because its normal to them, etc.
• The other aspect is genetics, where certain tendencies can be given from parent to child or grandparent to grandchild, such as impulsive tendencies, the type of temper someone has, access (or denied access) to certain parts of the brain that are responsible for prosocial emotions, etc. Those genetics mix with the trauma and sometimes push the presentation in certain directions, so its a thing to keep in mind.
• Some CD/ASPD symptoms can also develop/be made worse trough bullying, intense experiences in childhood/teens, hanging around with people who engage in/normalize certain behaviors, etc. (ex: kids with delinquient tendencies who hang around other kids with those, may be more likely to develop that as a continous behavior). So its also worth thinking about who your character was around while they grew up, who influenced them how and what was normalized to them.
4. The Current DSM-V ASPD Criteria
• When it comes to the core symptoms of ASPD, theres 3 out of 7 DSM criteria points your character should meet. It doesn't matter which ones, but it has to be at least three! Your character should also be older than 18, have shown conduct disorder symptoms before they turned 15 and have their ASPD symptoms even in absence of other comorbidities, substances and/or episodes (Criterion B-D which I am not quoting, but thats it summed up)
• The 7 criteria points recognized in the DSM-V are (and I quote):
A. A pervasive pattern of disregard for and violation of rights of others, occuring since age 15 years, as indicated by three (or more) of the following:
1. Failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors, as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are ground for arrest.
2. Deceitfulness, as indicated by repeated lying, use of aliases or conning others for personal profit or pleasure.
3. Impulsivity or failure to plan ahead.
4. Irritability or aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults.
5. Reckless disregard for safety of self or others.
6. Consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work behavior or honor financial obligations.
7. Lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated or stolen from another.
• Everything after "as indicated by" is an example of a possible presentation. The DSM-V acknowledges that there are other possible ways in which symptoms can show up.
5. The Alternative ASPD Model in the DSM-V
• This is not used to officially diagnose people with ASPD, but is one idea, as to how personality disorder classification could work in the future. It looks at the symptoms as dimensions, under which possible experiences could fall and mentions quite a few things the current criteria doesn't, so I'll quote it below as well:
A. Moderate or greater impairment in personality functioning, manifested by characteristic difficulties in two or more of the following areas:
1. Identity: Egocentrism, self esteem derived from personal gain, power or pleasure.
2. Self direction: Goal setting based on personal gratification, absence of prosocial internal standards, associated with failure to conform to lawful or culturally normative ethical behavior.
3. Empathy: Lack of concern for feelings, needs or suffering of others, lack of remorse after hurting or mistreating another.
4. Intimacy: Incapacity for mutually intimate relationships, as exploitation is primary means of relating to others, including by deceit and coercion, use of dominance or intimidation to control others.
B. Six or more of the following seven pathological personality traits:
1. Manipulativeness (an aspect of antagonism): Frequent use of subterfuge to influence or control others, use of seduction, charm, glibness, or ingratiation to achieve ones ends.
2. Callousness (an aspect of antagonism): Lack of concern for feelings or problems of others, lack of guilt or remorse about negative or harmful effects of ones actions on others, aggression, sadism.
3. Deceitfulness (an aspect of antagonism): Dishonesty and fraudulence, misrepresentation of self, embellishment or fabrication when relating events.
4. Hostility (an aspect of antagonism): Persistent or frequent angry feelings, anger or irritability in response to minor slights and insults, mean, nasty or vengeful behavior.
5. Risk taking (an aspect of disinhibition): Engagement in dangerous, risky and potentially self damaging activities, unnecessarily and without regard for consequences, boredom proneness and thoughtless initiation of activities to counter boredom, lack of concern for ones limitations and denial of the reality of personal danger.
6. Impulsivity (an aspect of disinhibition): Acting on the spur of the moment in response to immediate stimuli, acting on a momentary basis without a plan or consideration of outcomes, difficulty establishing and following plans.
7. Irresponsibility (an aspect of disinhibition): Disregard for - and failure to honor - financial and other obligations or commitments, lack of respect for - and lack of follow trough on - agreements and promises.
Note: The individual is at least 18 years of age.
6. Other Common Experiences
• Theres a few experiences that quite a few people with ASPD report, that have not explicitly made it into the criteria. Sometimes these are examples for certain symptoms and/or are implied, sometimes these have been studied but haven't been written as a requirement for diagnosis and sometimes these are not supported by science/still debated by science.
• Apathy, a total lack of emotion, overall muted emotions or having trouble to access certain emotions, is something some people with ASPD talk about a lot. There is no scientific consensus yet, as to whether this is an ASPD symptom. Some theories suggest it falls under PTSD (absence of positive emotions & tendency to experience negative ones and/or having dissociated away from the emotions and/or having put up a sort of non permanent barrier as a form of protection), depression (common comorbidity, anhedonia & apathy can both be part of it), other PDs (schizoid, borderline episodes, etc.) or something else entirely. While its not sure whether its caused by ASPD, or not, a lot of people with it seem to report differences in their capability to feel a full range of intense emotions.
• The criteria talks about aggressiveness and physical fights, which is not the only way in which this symptom seems to commonly present. Harming animals, homicidal ideation, dealing with aggressive thoughts & urges without actually acting on them, verbal aggression, taking out aggression on self or property, etc. are also often reported.
• The current criteria doesn't mention it at all and the alternative talks about a complete inability to form bonds, but community consensus seems to be, that while forming emotional bonds is harder & happens more rarely, it is still possible. The intensity differs (some describe the bond as a logical construct, some only do platonic bonds, some only do romantic bonds, some describe deep obsessiveness, etc.) as does the number of people they find themselves bonded with. Theres also a significant amount of people in the community that describe a phenamenon similar to BPDs FP (aka a bond to a person that is defined by the symptoms of the personality disorder).
• There is some debate on whether or not an absence of prosocial inner standards makes it impossible or more difficult to define personal morals and understand how morality works. Some people with ASPD say they have no difficulties, some report that they struggle with the understanding part, some say they struggle with upholding those norms and others struggle with both. It seems like ASPD could make it more difficult to understand and/or respect the way societies morals work for some, which makes room for conflict.
• Personality Disorders are what we call egosyntonic, which usually means that they are in alignment with what we as people think is the correct way to feel, think and act. This doesn't mean that its inherently impossible to change the way you think/feel/act and that recovery is impossible, but it may make it more difficult to break out of the patterns (if that is what one wants). Some people show little problems in this area, some need a lot of outer assistance and others either can't or don't want to change.
7. Other Things To Keep In Mind
• You should probably think about whether your character fits the psychopathy subtype & if yes which definition of it you want to use (theres different theories)
• ASPD can influence every aspect of your life, so it may interfere with things in such a roundabout way that you wouldn't even think about it at first (ex: Disregard for safety of self => Disregard for your own health => You get ill carelessly => You dont take ur meds responsibly, or put off a doctors visit for months/years => You end up with longterm damage => You don't treat it responsibly => You get more ill => Death. Which happens to ppl without ASPD too, but can indeed be a presentation of that symptom.). Additionally comorbdities interact & interfere with ASPD symptoms and may alter/add onto presentation!
• You could also always add the ASPD stigma into the mix and how your character responds to it/how it influences them. Does it make them not wanna recover? Does it make them wanna recover even more to prove everyone wrong? Are they trying to get into therapy but no therapist wants them? Is it on a court record and causing problems that way? Do they lose relationships/friendships? Does it change the way they see themselves or others? etc.
• The key with ASPD characters is not to just make them into good people or portray them as angels and also not to always make them into the cruel villain. The key is to show that they are an individual, a human being, a single example for what this disorder can present as. If you can somehow portray that the presentation of ASPD in your character is just how this specific character is and is not how the disorder inherently presents itself, you nailed it! Cus u'll have ASPDers who want to just stay the way they are and who are exactly what you'd imagine a cruel villain to be like, you have ASPDers who you couldn't ever distinguish from a prosocial person, cus they learned to blend in and you've got ASPDers who decide that they wanna do a 180 and behave in the most prosocial way possible and then you have everything in between and beyond. So as long as your character would meet criteria, as long as you're not spreading misinfo and as long as its clear that its just one example of a possible presentation, you're good in my opinion (but this is indeed just my opinion and others may disagree).
Note: If you need examples for the specific symptoms, you can ofc send another ask, this is more of a general overview of what exists, cus going into detail on each would make this post wayyy too long.

I think it'd be very cool and awesome and cool and rad if you had any headcanons or just facts about your versions of Creepypastas
Oh, goodie, headcannon time! (I get to ramble!)
Just to let ya know, the only ones I really got headcannons on are my main guys (Jack, Will, Frankie, and my OCs). Most stuff is farther back on my blog
Jack:
He's old old but he can only remember as far as when he met Issac. Everything else is blurry. Jack has a very broad range of abilities, ranging from shape-shifting to possession, but all that depends on whether or not Entity(his creator) finds entertainment in him. He can have more access to Entity's powers, but if they decide that they'll rather watch him get torn apart, then so be it. He's a romantic, but his ideas of romance are a lil different, tho.
So for Jack I've mentioned awhile back that when he was first created that he started off as a doll and developed into a more human like appearance as he gotten older like he's growing up into a man kinda thing. Well, he can also revert back if he gets put in uncomfortable situations or like when he got abandoned by Issac. The lack of physical and emotional support causes him to shut in on him, making him seem lifeless(like a doll). So, no blinking or breathing, he converts back to doll.-.
He's a secret sweetheart under all that anger and murderous tendencies. He might kill you if you found out, tho. He got this far known as The Devils Puppet, and he'll be damned to have anyone slip a word out that he likes someone (for their sake)
Willie:
He's 26 but has the body of a 50-year-old cause he's been doing dumb crap that he ends up regretting the next day. He's Jack lil errand boy, but they both do some pretty dumb stuff together. The more the marrier. If this guy was a drink it be Bush light. Sunburnt with a dip in his lip, but he's a child at heart.
William met Jack shortly after his grandfather died due to being attacked by feral anomalies in the rural countryside. Now his grandfather was his everything, his parents never gave him a time of day to be with their son but him. So sometime, goes by, and young Will meets a strange older looking man (Jack has the ability to shape-shift) who reminds Will of his grandfather. He was a grumpy old man who didn't like kids, but Will loved him all the same.
Now their relationship was, for the most part, Jack treating Will, like a pet, but he wasn't mean to him. Well, he wasn't very affectionate towards Will, but he never hit him. It wasn't for til Will got older when Jack realized just how much that country bumpkin of a boy cared for him. So what happened was that Jack got attacked by that same group of ferals, and Will was not gonna let them take his grandpa away from him again so full of rage Will takes his gun and kills the ferals before finally collapses in Jack's arms cause he thought he was gonna lose him. Jack started treating him better after that.
Frankie:
Just a flower child, I like the idea if he was born around the 1960s when hippies became popular as the movement to protest that not all anomalies are monsters and that they should be treated fairly. His father was an "undead" or "zombie," as the media called them while his mom was a human. Cross breading was a big no no and still is due to most humans and anomaly both actively attacking each other. (For those wondering, the anomalies can range from ferals to more intelligent individuals like slender or what not)
I still want to keep the idea that he's a bounty hunter, so a hippie with a gun sounds fun. He wants peace, but in a world full of hate, he often receives racism from both humans and anomalies, so he gets reminded that he's an abomination a lot...( ma poor boi). However, while on a case to hunt down, the Slenderman he ends up changing his plans to find out more about who's really pulling the strings in this mad world, but those answers rest in what's known as The Garden.

Chapter 10 - At What Cost
Hershel continued to check Carl’s vitals as the sun set. They were all holding off as long as they could, but they could only wait so long before Carl’s life was at risk.
“Pressure’s dropping again. We can’t wait much longer.” He warned.
“Do you need more blood?” Iris asked, offering her arm.
“No, you can’t give much more.” Hershel denied.
“I should go.” Rick mumbled.
“Go? Go where?” Lori asked, blinking.
“He said five miles. They should be long back by now. Something’s gone wrong.”
“Are you insane? You’re not going after them. Your place is here. If Shane said he’ll be back, he’ll be back. He’s like you that way.” Lori assured.
“I can’t just sit here.” Rick protested.
“That’s exactly what you do.” Lori snapped. “If you need to pray or cry or tell God he’s cruel you go right ahead, but you’re not leaving, Rick. Carl needs you— here. And I can’t do this by myself. Not this one. I can’t. I can’t.”
-
Hershel allowed each of them full access to their facilities, meaning soap and a hot shower, which they were grateful for. Rick told Lori and Carl stories as they waited for Shane to make it back. Iris ate, for Carl’s sake, even if she felt guilty for it. Maggie made her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It was the best thing she’d tasted in months, aside from the orange juice. She’d even slept.
At one point, Glenn and T-Dog showed up to get his wound treated and to bring a few antibiotics and pain killers they’d found.
“How you doing?” Iris asked as T-Dog ate across from her.
“We should be asking you the same thing.” Glenn stated. Iris shrugged, on her eighth glass of orange juice.
“Drinking them out of house and home.” She replied, wiggling the glass. He chuckled. “T-Dog?”
“I’m alright. It hurts.” He replied. Iris nodded. “You’re pale.”
“Thanks.” She replied, grinning.
“Iris!” Lori cried from the room. Iris stood abruptly, feeling her head rush.
“Woah.” Glenn helped steady her, taking her into the room. Carl’s blankets were mussed and Rick was straightening him back out across the bed.
“He needs another transfusion.” Hershel said quietly.
“Okay. I’m ready.” She agreed, sitting down in the chair.
“If I take any more out of you, your body could shut down. You could go into a coma. Or cardiac arrest.” Hershel explained. Iris didn’t have to look at Rick or Lori to see them staring at her. Neither one of them asked her to do this, nor did they want to ask her for more. But seeing Carl… He was such a hopeful kid. Happy. Eager. Despite everything. Iris didn’t hesitate.
“Do it.” She stated, offering her arm. Hershel set up the transfusion again, Carl’s parents at his side.
-
“He’s still losing blood faster than we can replace it. And with the swelling in his abdomen, we can’t wait any longer, or he’s just going to slip away.” Hershel explained after a while. Iris sat, staring up at the ceiling. “I need to know right now if you want me to do this, because I think your boy is out of time. You have to make a choice.”
“A choice?” Lori asked, horrified.
“A choice.” Rick nodded, turning to look her in the eyes. “You have to tell me what it is.”
“We do it.” Lori decided. They held each other tight, Hershel nodding to his daughter, Beth.
They moved Carl to a metal table, Patricia pulling a lamp close by, bringing the surgical instruments. Just as Hershel gripped the scalpel, Otis’ truck pulled in. Iris sat next to Carl, waiting as they brought the instruments in. Rick and Lori waited outside.
It was a couple hours before it was done, Hershel going back out to announce that he was stable. Iris was barely lucid in the chair beside him, but she was glad to be there with him.
“Iris.” Lori whispered, walking in.
“He’s doing good.” Iris whispered. She was white as a sheet, her lips paler than Carl’s. Lori sobbed, kneeling beside them and taking Carl’s hand once more. Shane appeared in the doorway, some sort of relief on his face. He looked up at her, nodding.
“Stay.” Lori whispered. Shane paused before nodding. When she turned away, he disappeared. Iris sighed, leaning her head back against the wall.
“Fuck me.” She muttered.
“Thank you. Thank you so much.” Lori whispered. Iris only nodded, and Lori took her hand, too.
-
By the time the morning came around, Iris was already feeling much better, though they wouldn’t let her help as the others collected rocks for Otis’ burial. Apparently something happened on the run, and Shane had returned without him. Wouldn’t be much of a burial.
Iris sat on the porch railing, watching the others work. The roar of Daryl’s motorcycle sounded in the distance, and she watched him pull up with the RV, a new SUV in tow. T-Dog went inside to get Rick and Lori so they could have a group conversation.
“How is he?” Dale asked, the lot of them gathering on the lawn.
“He’ll pull through.” Lori said, smiling in relief. “Thanks to Hershel and his people, and Iris.”
“And Shane. We would have lost Carl if not for him.” Rick added. Dale sighed in relief, bringing Rick in for a hug. Carol embraced Lori fairly quickly.
“How’d it happen?” Dale asked.
“Hunting accident.” Rick replied. “That’s all, just a stupid accident.”
“You look like shit.” Daryl said quietly, approaching Iris on the porch.
“Boy, do you know how to sweet-talk a girl.” She replied, looking up at him. He half-shrugged.
“You okay?”
“Yeah.” She huffed. “Just waiting for my body to make some more blood.” He nodded. He stepped forward, and Iris raised an eyebrow as he awkwardly patted her shoulder. She grinned, almost ready to bust out laughing.
“Alright.” He said simply, turning back to the others.
Once they were ready, they all walked a ways down the road to a large oak tree, where they’d brought the stones they collected. One by one, everyone placed a stone on the growing pile in memory of Otis, while Hershel read a funeral passage.
“Blessed be God, Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Praise be to him for the gift of our brother, Otis. For his span of years, for his abundance of character. Otis, who gave his life to save a child’s, now more than ever, our most precious asset. We thank you, God, for the peace he enjoys in your embrace. He died as he lived. In Grace. Shane, will you speak for Otis?”
“I’m not good at it.” Shane mumbled. He wore Otis’ old clothes, his head newly shaved down to the scalp. Iris raised an eyebrow at his refusal, leaning against Glenn, who had offered himself for support. “I’m sorry.”
“You were the last one with him.” Patricia stated, through her tears. “You shared his final moments. Please. I need to hear. I need to know his death had meaning.”
“We were about done.” Shane murmured. “Almost out of ammo. We were down to pistols by then. I was limping. It was bad, ankle all swollen up. ‘We’ve gotta save the boy.’ See, that’s what he said. He gave me his backpack, he shoved me ahead. ‘Run.’ He said. He said, ‘I’ll take the rear, I’ll cover you.’ And when I looked back…” He paused, limping forward toward the wheel barrow of rocks. “If not for Otis, I’d have never made it out alive. And that goes for Carl, too. It was Otis. He saved us both. If any death ever had meaning, it was his.”
Once the memorial was finished and the group dispersed, Rick gathered a few volunteers to talk about their search for Sophia. Hershel joined in, curious as to what the situation was.
“How long has this girl been lost?” He asked, Daryl, Iris, Shane, Andrea, and Rick all standing around the hood of the station wagon.
“This’ll be day three.” Rick replied. Maggie came over, laying out a map of the area on the hood of the car.
“County survey map. Shows terrain and elevations.” She stated, spreading it out. She placed stones on the corners to hold them down.
“This is perfect.” Rick murmured. “We can finally get this thing organized. We’ll grid the whole area, start searching in teams.” Iris opened her mouth, but Hershel pointed at her.
“Not you.” He said firmly. “You gave three units of blood. You wouldn’t be hiking five minutes in this heat before passing out.” He turned to Shane as well. “And your ankle— push it now, you’ll be laid up a month, no good to anybody.”
“Guess it’s just me and Rick.” Daryl stated. Rick nodded. “I’m gonna head back to the creek, work my way from there.”
“I can still be useful.” Shane insisted. “I’ll drive up to the interstate, see if Sophia wandered back.”
“Alright. Tomorrow then, we start doing this right.” Rick nodded to Iris, who huffed.
“That means we can’t have our people out there with just knives.” Shane stated. “They need the gun training we’ve been promising them.”
“I’d prefer you not carry guns on my property.” Hershel stated. “We’ve managed so far without turning this into an armed camp.”
“All due respect, you get a crowd of those things wandering in here…” Shane warned.
“Look, we’re guests here.” Rick shook his head. “This is your property and we will respect that.” He looked at Shane pointedly, who exhaled sharply through his nose. Rick put his revolver on the hood of the car, waiting. Shane slammed his pistol alongside it but stared right through Hershel. Iris raised an eyebrow, carefully placing her gun down. “First things first: Set camp, find Sophia.”
“What happens if we find her, and she’s bit? Or… worse?” Iris asked quietly. “How… how do we handle that?”
“You do what has to be done.” Rick replied.
“And her mother? What do you tell her?” Maggie asked in disbelief.
“The truth.” Andrea replied. Hershel shook his head at Maggie as they exchanged a look.
“I’ll gather and secure all the weapons.” Shane offered. “Make sure no one’s carrying until we’re at a practice range, off-site. I do request one rifleman on lookout. Dale’s got experience…”
“Our people would feel safer, less inclined to carry a gun.” Rick explained, looking to Hershel questioningly. The old man sighed, nodding. “Thank you.”
“That stuff you brought… got anymore antibiotics, bandages, anything like that?” Maggie asked.
“Just what you’ve seen.” Andrea replied. Maggie pressed her lips together.
“We’re running short already. I should make a run into town.” She stated.
“Not the place Shane went?”
“No, there’s a pharmacy just a mile down the road. I’ve done it before.” She explained. Rick turned around, motioning to Glenn, who was helping Lori set up her tent.
“See our man there, in the baseball cap?” He asked. “That’s Glenn, our go-to-town expert. I’d ask him along, just to be cautious.” Hershel nodded to Maggie, who nodded back as she walked over to him.
Iris made her way to where Dale had laid out a tent for her. It had belonged to Jim and Jacqui, but they didn’t really need it anymore. She took her time setting up the tent, sitting on the grass and enjoying the shade. She watched as Daryl and Rick had a brief conversation near the porch before Daryl stormed away, obviously mad about something, like usual. It was nice to have a moment to herself, a moment to relax.
But of course, moments like that were fleeting, and soon Dale and T-Dog came running from out in the field, where Maggie had directed them to the second of five wells on their property. The two of them led Iris, Maggie, Lori, Glenn, Andrea and Shane to the well, where the old wood boards had apparently rotted and broken, a few telltale raspy growls from inside the well telling Iris everything she needed to know.
Shane shone a flashlight down into the well, and for the first time in a while, Iris felt sick to her stomach at the sight of a walker. He’d been there a while, clearly, as his flesh had ballooned up with water, bloating in the most unsightly way.
“Looks like we got us a swimmer.” Dale mused.
“You don’t drink from here, do you?” Iris asked, glancing to Maggie. She shook her head.
“We use it for the cattle.” She muttered, scowling.
“How long do you think it’s been down there?” Glenn asked.
“Long enough to grow gills.” Andrea replied, cringing.
“We can’t leave it in there. God knows what it’s doing to the water.” Lori replied. Iris tilted her head, taking the offered flashlight from Shane and angling it downward.
“I don’t see any open wounds, but its hard to tell from here.” She pointed out.
“We gotta get it out.” Shane said plainly.
“Easy. Put a bullet in it’s head.” T-Dog replied.
“Well that’s a real quick way to contaminate the drinkable water.” Iris said, looking up with an amused expression.
“She’s right. Can’t risk it.” Shane agreed.
“So it has to come out alive?”
“So to speak.” Shane replied with a smirk.
“How do we do that?” Maggie asked. Within a few seconds, they had fashioned a rope with a loop at the end and a fishing line with a canned ham hooked at the end. Iris had plainly stated that this wasn’t going to work, but the rest of the group argued that they may as well try. The walker was very disinterested.
“He’s not going for it.” Dale observed.
“Because a canned ham don’t kick and scream when you try to eat it.” T-Dog replied.
“He’s right.” Lori agreed. “There’s a reason the dead didn’t come back to life and start raiding our cupboards.”
“So, what, we catch a squirrel or something for live bait? Where’s Daryl when you need him?” Iris scoffed, looking around the farm.
“Well, we need some kind of live bait.” Andrea said, turning to Iris. She looked up, glancing at her companions as they all nervously looked to her.
“Oh, really? I’m glad that I’m the sacrificial lamb in all of your eyes.” Iris grumbled.
“It’s not—“ Dale began, but Iris waved him off.
“You’re light and you don’t turn tail at danger. You’re a good fit.” Shane stated, shrugging.
“Gee, thanks. Just give me the damn rope.” She mumbled. They looped one end of rope around the metal spout of the pump and Iris braced her feet on the pipe spanning the diameter of the well. Shane began tying the rope around her legs in a series of knots she didn’t know the names of, assuring her they wouldn’t come undone. “Have I mentioned that I love the new look?” She joked, trying to brush off the nerves.
“Don’t stress. You got it, sweetheart.” Shane assured, patting her on the back.
“Yeah, I don’t like that.” Iris replied.
“Me either. Felt weird as soon as I said it.” He agreed, flashing her a grin. Iris smiled back, shaking her head.
“I’d like to be mostly unharmed when I go to bed tonight.”
“Sounds like a plan.” Dale offered a nervous smile. They all took their places along the rope, as if it was a game of tug-of-war.
“I thought you’d make me do it.” Glenn whispered to T-Dog over his shoulder.
“I guess you owe me one, Glenn.” Iris called, earning a nervous laugh from the boy.
“We got you.” Andrea assured.
“You people are crazy.” Maggie groaned, worried.
“You ain’t seen nothing yet.” Iris challenged.

“We are assholes,” you said very bluntly as you entered his at-home studio. His head popped up from the stacked pages that held the possible lyrics for his next album. His eyebrows were knit together and his lips slightly parted. He wore big, framed glasses that made him irresistible. The optometrist had ordered them for him after you had shared that he held his phone too close to his face when reading texts.
“Christ, wha’ did we do?” He asked, clueless as to why you were making a big fuss. You had been going through so many changes not only physically, but emotionally too. You just prayed and thanked God that Harry was known for his never-ending patience.
“We haven’t told anyone” You through your body on the same couch that he was sitting just a few inches away from him. “At least not anyone close to us” You added, blocking, and throwing your phone on the cushion beside you. It was cold in the basement, so you threw on the first blanket you saw.
“S’not true. We told our parents” He scratched the beard that he had been growing since the tour had ended. “It’s too early anyway” He dropped the pencil and sat back. He was now clearly invested and entertained by the conversation.
“It’s been four months” You giggled at his awful sense of time. “We are almost halfway there”
“I think we should pull a whole Kardashian situation” He shrugged, as he shifted his body towards you and grabbed your ankle from under the blankets. Harry referred to how all the members of the Kardashian clan always hid their pregnancies until the child had been born.
“All of their friends always know that they're pregnant” You laughed as he ticked your foot after taking off the dinosaur-themed sock. You grabbed a pillow and chucked it at him but missed.
“I am trying to be a nice husband and give you a foot massage and not only you are insulting me but throwing pillows at me!” He gasped with a big smile threatening to give him away.
“Sorry. I love you” You smiled, nudging him gently with your foot, so he would continue.
“You are lucky that you are cute and that you are pregnant with my baby” he mumbled kissing the inside of your ankle before starting to massage the bottom of your foot. “I want to keep you both save and once it’s out there; I can't do much”.
You had been pregnant before. It had been before Love on Tour began. Unfortunately, you had lost the baby. The emotional pain had been unmeasurable. You cried every day and Harry isolated himself from the world. None of you spoke a word about it those first few weeks. That all ended when both of your mothers turned up at the front door. They dug both of you out of depression and pushed you to keep going.
“Just think how Jeff, James, Mitch, and Sarah are going to feel when they find out that we kept them in the dark because we didn’t trust them enough” You argued, “our friends deserve to know”.
“I guess you are right,” Harry said after a few minutes of silence, “But that’s it. We are still not telling the rest of the world until you give birth” it was a compromise and if you had learned something about being in a relationship for so long was to always find the middle ground.
“You got yourself a deal” You winked as he moved to the other foot. “We also must choose names” Harry groaned and threw his head back. “Just for a few minutes”. You had decided not to find out the sex of the baby until the birth which meant you needed at least two names. It always ended with both of you being over saturated and hating every single name in the books. It drove Harry nuts, but he also didn’t want to produce a weird name that made him stand out more. Neither of you wanted to give him an incredibly unique name. He or she was already going to have enough of being Harry Styles and Y/N Y/L/N daughter or son… CONTINUED ON PATREON

I see your request are open soooo
Dra boys x child reader where mitch kicks a football and it hits y/n in the face please. Just thought it would be kinda funny
Idk why, but having to imagine Y/n getting hit for every scenario kept making me think of this video lmao
#StopY/nAbuse
I say with like 20 Y/n angst requests-
Mitch Higa:
He would never hurt you on purpose, he can only pray that you know that, despite your young age
The two of you were kicking the ball back and forth, and thanks to a distraction, which was totally not a group of girls awing at him and you, Mitch ended up kicking the ball a little too hard...
POW!
The moment he realized what he did, he immediately felt awful.
"SHIT! Y/n! Wait- Forget you heard that! I'm sorry! Does it hurt?"
He has no idea how to really help, so he just begs for forgiveness and gets you an icepack. Mitch decides to get you some icecream and VIP access for his next big game.
"Thank you, big bro!"
"Haha...Yeah... Let's just not mention this to our parents-"
Haruhiko Kobashikawa:
Mitch may be his friend and idol, but he was still pissed that you were hurt because of him.
"Y/n!! Are you alright? Does it hurt?? MITCH! What the hell, dude!?"
Haru's first priority is comforting you, which means getting you an icepack and a lollipop he stole from Kanata (Probably with your help-)
Kiyoka, Satsuki, and Teruya help cheer you up! Mitch apologizes multiple times, and Haru personally forgives him pretty quickly, but he won't make you if you don't want to
He tries to be more aware of your surroundings, and tries to keep you away from anything dangerous for a while, but eventually gets hit in the face himself
Teruya Otori:
He was NOT expecting it in the slightest. One moment he's talking about making new clothes for you, and the next, you're crying on the ground, clutching your face.
"AAAAAAH! Y/n!! Wha' happ'nd!?"
Teruya frantically runs to your side, and as Mitch runs over, he finally realizes what happened. He's angry at Mitch, but slightly understanding since it was an accident. He mostly feels mad at himself for not being able to protect you, but he knows basic first aid, so he helps you with that.
He thinks you should forgive Mitch, but won't push it. When your father found out about what happened, he spoiled you with practically the whole store.
Per your father's wishes, Teruya tried to keep a closer eye on you from then on, letting you help him and the sunshine quartet prank Mitch in revenge
Yamato Kisaragi:
"Y/n!! Ohmygosh! HELP!"
Anytime you're hurt, Yamato immediately freaks out and yells for help, even if you were barely scratched. His fears vanish after a few moments, but he still keeps up the silly act for you.
Sure, this wasn't his first time as a big brother, but he wasn't the kindest to Mikako when she was your age, and he won't make that mistake again. If he has to make a fool out of himself to show how much he cares about you, or even make you giggle a bit? So be it.
If you're still crying after some time, he'll make a show of hitting himself in the face with a football, too.
He'll lecture Mitch whether you'll there or not, but forgives him quickly, and will not hesitate to beg or give puppy dog eyes if you still refuse to accept Mitch's apology after a couple days.
He makes you a tiny safety robot to help watch your surroundings when he's not there (And also when he is there but he wants to look strong in front of you-)
Utsuro:
He had to be greatly distracted for his divine luck to not prevent this, and even then, he's still in shock for a few seconds after the ball hits you
"...."
He doesn't say anything, quickly checking you over and making sure you don't have a concussion. (Not like he'd have any idea how to help you outside of his luck in that situation)
Mitch apologizes, already hearing the boss music and older brother instincts from Utsuro kicking in.
"...apologize to Y/n. Not me."
He obliges, getting down on his knees at one point. Utsuro leaves it up to you to forgive him or not, but either way, Mitch loses almost every soccer game he's in for months afterword
Kakeru Yamaguchi:
"A-Ah! I-It's okay, Y/n! It was an accident, r-right!?" He reassures you, trying to give a comforting smile. (But it looks terrifying, and Mitch thinks Kakeru's about to kill him)
Mitch can only rapidly nod his head, getting an icepack. Even if the injury is minor, Kakeru would still bring you to Kanata to be extra safe.
You're soon smiling again as your Big Sis Kanata gives you a lollipop
He still feels bad about not being able to prevent something like this, so he'll basically give you anything you want for the next few days. You reassure him that it wasn't his fault and you love him, but you'll still accept his offers to carry you-
Kinji Uehara:
"...! Y/n, it's alright... Shh...I'm here..."
He's caught off guard, but is quick to calm you down. He keeps his voice soft and gentle, reassuring you that it would be alright, while also checking for signs of a concussion. Kinji will definitely bring you to Kanata just to be sure.
As long as Mitch apologizes, Kinji forgives him, and believes you should as well. Even if it's your face that's hurt, he'll offer to give you a piggyback ride to help make you feel better
He'll lecture Mitch later and have him properly apologize to you, but until then, he'll spoil you with attention
Yuki Maeda:
"Y/n! Hey...! It's okay, just show me where it hurts..."
He's sent into a panic at first, but relaxes a bit upon realizing it's nothing serious. He's moderately annoyed at Mitch, but calming you down is his first priority.
He's not very experienced in first aid, so he'll get an ice pack if you ask for one, and would take you to Kanata if you show any symptoms of a concussion.
Yuki forgives him within the day, and advises you to do the same since it was an accident. He reassures you that he will make sure nothing like this happens again
You wrap your arms around your big brother, and he hugs you tightly, promising himself to be more aware from now own
Tsurugi Kinjo:
Tsurugi was always protective over you, scolding his classmates any time they tried to prank you, and almost killing a man after he tried to kidnap you
The moment that ball hit you, Mitch knew he had to either start running or beg for mercy
So you have chosen... DEATH.
If you started crying, Mitch would be ending up in tears as well by the time Tsurugi is done with him
Your brother won't resort to violence, since it was an accident and he was his classmate, but Mitch got the scolding of a lifetime
Even in twenty years, Tsurugi would still be salty about this.
His overprotectiveness only increases and you start to worry that one day he won't let you outside-

The titles of 3 and 4 of your WIP post intrigue me so much, could you tell me a bit more about them?? Thank you Sprog !! 🐻‍❄️🍄😽
Thank you!! Ok so, Number 3: That's not tubular.
This is a Camp Camp fic I started writing but wrote so little of that I didn't even get to the prompt part of it 😅 It's supposed to be about David dagging de-aged by Harrison to when he first joined Camp Campbell! The episode where David tells Max the tale of his and Jasper, telling him about how much of a sourpuss he was, how much he used to be like Max, and Max being like "Yeah you made that up just to make me like camp", is why I wanted to write this. There's some magic bullshit in this show that I think gets overlooked too much.
Harrison made his brother disappear, we should talk about that more.
So I wanted to use this to get Angsty!David and Max to meet. The plan I had for this was to basically give Max a rival. Someone who threatens his place as the one at the top of the food chain. Until they find a way to get him back to Regular!David, that is.
I enjoy writing Max. He's a little kid who's had to grow up too fast and trying his hardest to make everyone hate him, but failing miserably. While David is kinda... refreshing for me. He's unapologetically optimistic to a fault.
It's called "that's not tubular" because uuuuh basically David as a child called people squares, even though it's slang from like the late 40s. And the way people react in the show it's like he swore real bad. So I wanted to use more old slang, and in a situation where tiny!david has to react to something he doesn't like, I feel like tubular would get said.
I'm struggling to choose a snippet for this fic because I haven't touched this idea in... some time... and my punctuation and epithets usage has gotten significantly better in the meantime.
The first one to pick had been Neil, then Space Kid, Erid, Dolph, and so on and so forth, until everyone had a straw in their hands. Max glanced at the other kids’ straws, realizing that David didn’t really understand how drawing straws is supposed to work. All of the straws, but one, have to be the same length. Instead, each camper had in their hand straws of all sizes, making it extremely difficult to figure out who had won. They took some time, comparing each straw, and concluded that Harrison had been the winner of their game.
Numer 4: Ghost for a day (or two)
This one is a sequel to a Danny Phantom fic I published, "Point of Capture". At the end of that fic, Danny is inside a cage and is being dragged to his parents' lab to do some test. In "Ghost for a day (or two)" Danny accepts a truce to let them do non invasive tests to learn more about ghosts and give him a chance at redemption.
He runs away with a power dampener on him.
I got the point of him reaching Sam and Tuck when he escapes. Even though he accepted the truce, he wasn't sure how the dampener would work, so he decides to leave, regroup, and then if it turned out to be truly safe, he'd go back to the Fentons to help them learn more.
This sequel would be about Danny going about his day stuck as Phantom (I know that canonically when he loses his powers he detransforms, but it's less that he loses them and more like he can't access them. So he can't transform) but trying not to make anyone notice while he goes to school and fights ghosts, while also trying to find a way to get his powers back. And also about some headcanons about the philosophy of death in a world where ghosts exist. As well as an exploration of how the Fenton parents think when it comes to ghost morality.
The title is kinda self explainatory, I feel like. Danny gets stuck in ghost mode and it takes longer than he expected to get his powers back.
This wip also suffers from having been written 3 years ago. I haven't touched it since. The punctuation is horrible, especially when it comes to dialogue tags.
His dad reached closer to the cage and freed him. Danny eyed the portal, then his parents who were at that moment preoccupied with setting up their equipment. “I’m sorry” he murmured, then ran to the portal’s button and pressed it. Getting pricked in the finger so many times is starting to get on his nerves. The sound of the opening portal caused his parents to turn around, and his mom to run towards him. Danny didn’t spare any time and jumped inside the green swirl. He said ‘sorry’ again, that time louder than before, after seeing the disappointment and confusion in his father's eyes. It hurt. But he can’t risk it.
I really want to touch up these two fics again. I think there's some real fun to be had, especially with the DP one.

The Pros and Cons of Following a Single Tulpamancy Philosophy
When it comes to Tulpamancy, especially with the perception of tulpas as a concept, there are multiple philosophies that the community has created over the years. The two primary philosophies being:
1. The Child Philosophy by Cjero
2. The Friend Philosophy by The Dragonheart System (us)
Both aim to create a base set of principles on how tulpas should be viewed and therefore treated. Both philosophies were created years apart from each other when the community has overall changed quite a bit, and on different subsections of the Tulpamancy Community that hold slightly different ideals. So, it’s important to keep that in mind when comparing the two.
Cjero's child philsophy mostly focuses on treating a tulpa's development like the development of a child, but sets the connotation of a tulpa being akin to a child and therefore (even though this shouldn’t be the case) implies a lack of mutual respect and can downplay a tulpa’s ability to be independent. The way they write about protecting a tulpa from bad thoughts, or “vaccinat[ing]” them by gradually exposing them to negativity feels very infantilizing. It forgets that the tulpa is inhabiting your brain with you (a most likely adult brain), most likely has access to all your memories, and therefore is already well-aware that the out-world can majorly suck. However, it’s focus on being patient with a tulpa like a parent caring for a baby is a good message.
Our philosophy focuses on the idea of treating a tulpa like a friend from a faraway place, emphasizing equality and mutualistic exchanges, but does not account for relationships that are familial or less common. How we tackled development with this philosophy was having the idea be that your tulpa is from a foreign place, and therefore needs help getting the hang of things. But unlike a child, the tulpa is treated with a higher degree of respect and already has a vague sense of what needs to be done to adapt (like learning the local language, i.e. vocality, etc). We try to avoid the demeaning connotations this way, and from the feedback we got, everyone liked it.
Now, what are the pros and cons of just picking one and sticking with it? Well, for cons, you limit your viewpoint. You limit the ability to take what you like that best suits your system’s needs. Maybe you like the level of delicacy and care the child philosophy emphasizes, but are not a fan of the infantilizing of the tulpa. Maybe you enjoy the emphasis on mutualistic friendship with the friend philosophy, but your relationship with your tulpa wouldn’t really work as a friendship. If you stick with only one, you may very likely find that there are things missing that you wish were there. Another con: these philosophies can become outdated. The Child Philosophy very much reflects a different time in the community where equality was not as much of a focus, and despite how hard we tried to make The Friend Philosophy timeless, I wouldn’t be shocked if it also inevitably becomes dated and does more harm than good. If you stick with a stagnant ideology in a changing world, you’ll likely fall behind and suffer for it.
For pros: choosing one philosophy is definitely simpler, as each philosophy is contained in a single post. Another pro is that each philosophy is subjective and you don’t have to follow them to a T. But overall, I’d say deliberately choosing a single philosophy to follow has more downsides than upsides.
Note: I found some more philosophies later on after writing most of this, but they’re mostly metaphysical/religious, which wasn’t what I was going for when talking about Tulpamancy philosophies. We don’t really cover metaphysical/religious topics here, but I wanted to leave this addendum in case you want to check them out yourself.
What was the point of this post? I don’t know. I was bored and felt like checking on these two philosophies and decided to compare them. At the end of the day, these philosophies serve as guidelines, not strict rules, and you can use them as starting points for your own philosophy. What matters is that you treat your tulpa like a person. Anyway, hope you enjoyed, and this is proof that this blog isn’t dead.

Family money/access to wealth seems like the #1 determinant of success.
Yes and no. I’ve seen spoiled brats grow up and suffer because their parents didn’t teach them things properly and they couldn’t handle the family wealth, which either led to the family company being led by professionals or bankrupt. I’ve seen grounded rich kids grow up and expand their family’s empire. It’s all a part of your calibre to have ambition.
A boy worked as a security guard at a prestigious conglomerate. He didn’t speak a word of English, he only spoke his native language. He hailed from a small village in an Asian country, and provided for his family.
However, his boss, the main security head, had a feeling that he was smart. And when a prestigious financial company came knocking on the company’s door for some hiring purpose (my memory fails me exactly why they’d visited the conglomerate), the head security took the opportunity to talk to HR. He asked him if the boy could give the exam that the financial company gave for hiring candidates.
HR thought that the security head had lost his mind.
“Are you insane? He can’t even speak English!” argued the HR.
“Sir, please, if you just give the boy a chance, just to give the exam… I’m sure he’ll do well,” pleaded the security head.
The HR thought for a second.
“Very well,” he decided. “The boy may give the exam. Let’s see if he’s as smart as you say so.”
The exam had two components to it. One was a theoretical test and another, a spoken interview.
The boy aced the theoretical test and was only one of two people from all the candidates to do so. But his lack of English failed him in the spoken interview.
Still, he had impressed the financial company’s panel. They told him that they would hire him, under various conditions - one of them being learning English in a mere four months.
For four months, the boy toiled and toiled, until he grasped English. The company was ready to pay for the English tuition expenses. And in four months, when they were satisfied with his level of fluency, he joined the company.
•
When I was 16, I began working. One of my first internships was at an education firm. A very kindly man mentored me and I learned a lot under him. He was passionate about education, especially educating backward, rural communities and previously had worked in a prestigious financial company. I was surprised to hear that he had left such a big job at the finance company to come and work in education. He said that the stress, burn out and lack of empathy wasn’t worth it. He told me how he would have to fire people in the most unsympathetic way possible - the company would provide him with a script, he would have to recite just that and watch the other person’s face fall. He couldn’t take the pressure that his job had anymore and felt stuck in his life. He wanted to create impact on people.
I learned plenty under him, and he was always ready to take me to business meetings and trips. He didn’t treat me like a child or as a teenager with unbalanced ideas - he would listen to my suggestions as a whole and give me genuinely honest feedback on it. I grew as a person under him.
My father later told me about my mentor’s backstory. You should have seen my face. There isn’t a single thing that gives away that he came from humble origins - his English impeccable, his knowledge vast, the way he dresses and carries himself with confidence - everything screamed “privileged upbringing” to me. I would have never guessed that he came from a challenged background and had to literally work his way up.
My former mentor now does social work. Him and his brother have created a project where they provide rural children who struggle to feed themselves with food.
The more calamities that exist, the more opportunities will come up. To survive in today’s world, you need to be able to solve problems. In an economy where we can see tiny start ups disrupting massive family business legacies, and with so much access to information and the net - if you don’t take advantage of every single thing you have to climb up, then you don’t really want what you truly want.

When I was 24, I decided to get assessed for autism. At that point, I was in the midst of moving my life to a different country, and while it was not easy, and still isn't, it was also the first time I ever got to live "as a full adult."
Up till that point, my parents had made most of my life decisions on my behalf, including controlling my bank account until I became an adult, taking the prize money I won at competitions, deciding I wasn't allowed to apply to universities overseas for my bachelor's, and generally systematically convincing me I could not survive living on my own.
Anyway, for the first time in my life, I could make my own life decisions. And so I came home one summer, and told them about my wish to get assessed. And they told me something to the effect of:
When you were 13, your secondary school teacher asked us if you were autistic and thought you should get assessed. But we decided we didn't want you to have that label.
[cw self injury and physical abuse, also generally very personal outpouring here]
And you know...after hearing about my friends' horrible experiences with mental health diagnoses and suicide attempts "staining" their record for the rest of their lives...I kind of get it.
They were doing it for my safety. In Singapore, unlike in Australia, having mental illness on your record genuinely affects your chances at employment and access to other freedoms. Disability rights are awful there. And worse than the rights is the stigma.
My parents made the judgment call not to get me checked, because it was seemingly not affecting my functioning. I was studying at "top schools" all my life because my grades and extracurriculars qualified me to be there. I was doing well even in a school where exams were tuned and benchmarked so that only a certain fraction of the students scored an A (because 90% of the students would score an A otherwise). In my parents' eyes, there was not a problem big enough to warrant something so life-changing as a diagnosis.
Still, I don't think I needed a label to receive the stigma, but that's beside the point here. The point is that the diagnosis could have been dangerous in Singapore, and we were in a double bind, where they could not let me seek help, or I risked losing full personhood in the eyes of the State.
After moving to Australia, a lot of other things became clear. Beginning from the fact that my Master's degree course load in Australia was half that of my bachelor's in Singapore. Relatively speaking, I sailed by on my Master's, partly because the hours were so relaxed, and I had the time to live my life in the midst of it. And my bachelor's was easier, again, than high school.
I found out that learning someone was regularly beating their kid was grounds to call Child Protection Services. Haha, what? You mean that thing my parents did so much that I started to avoid coming home from school, is a crime in some countries?
Earlier this year, I heard from my sister that she's working 30-hour shifts on-site as a doctor. She doesn't get any sort of break for sleep in the middle of it, and she does this weekly. 70-hour work weeks, and this isn't even abnormal in Singapore - it's expected of doctors in their first years. And my parents went through that too, and have been telling my sister to suck it up.
What I think is that the Singapore government likes to keep us all in a bubble. It feeds us the lie that this is how all humans live, under the guise of knowing what's best for us. And you really don't know how different life could be - the constant pressure, and the lack of regard for our personhood, is like water to a fish.
And it gets replicated within the household - to align with the State, the Family then must re-enact its authoritarianism. I can't get diagnosed and seek help, I will stop being seen as human if I do. Why do you keep yelling at teachers and throwing things at your classmates? Why do you keep having meltdowns? You need to learn anger management. And I do my exams and I get my A's, and all is well, because see, the grades prove that you're more than functional.
Anyway I started self-harming when I was 10 years old. I thought about committing suicide all the time. As a child. I couldn't understand why the world felt like it was on the other side of a glass wall, through which no one could hear me. Why I never felt like a part of the picture. Why no one seemed to trust me to do anything right.
It makes infinitely more sense now, but I still feel like I'm on the other side of a glass wall, and sometimes I wonder if it's simply too late for me to develop a fundamental sense of security in myself. I have seen my therapist for 5 years and we've made a small amount of headway. But it probably takes more than 5 years to undo, uh, all that.

It is highly likely that other governments will enact similar harsh laws if they succeed in Queensland. Do not let them.
Also "Our main points of concern:
we do not want to be restricted to using the Australian Curriculum.
reporting to EVERY area in the plan and PROVING educational progress is too much and not even required in schools.
determining if home education is in the best interest of the child is a parental right, this power doesn't belong with the Education department."
Parents should have the freedom to decide how best to educate their children because education is not a one-size-fits-all solution.
4.) NDIS - What is myplace?

Be warned you may be in danger of copyright infringement and court action.
I'm telling you this because I care that you don't get sued, and also because you really should not use someone else's business name. Be original rather than just copying someone else.
The MyPlace brand in Australia is to do with Government, Monitoring, Professional Sports Sponsorship, Public Education and The NDIS. Do you really want your name involved with that?
I wouldn't.

I really don’t want to do my Psych essay, so here’s a list of all the FNF AUs I have made since coming up with the OG, extensive au.
Edit: I should mention, if you want to use any of these ideas (EXCEPT FOR MY OG AU) for your own fanfic/plot, go ahead! All I ask is you credit me and even ping me so I can see your take on it! 👀
Starting off; OG au, Just because I can. Started off as Corruption mod brainrot, turned into a whole ass au with a fully functional plot line that I am SEVERELY procrastinating on because ✨frighten✨
I want you to keep in mind that a lot of my au’s after actually spiral from my main OG au.
Then we have an Avatar: The Last Airbender au. I basically said “fuck Korra, she don’t exist” and made Blue(BF) the water bending avatar. The plot line is changing from what I originally had it, but here’s everyone and their bending skill that I have come up with so far: (also more airbenders exist because yeah)
Blue(BF); water bender. Also the avatar
Sophie(GF); fire bender (and so are her parents).
Pico; earth bender, with an affinity for metal bending
Nene; air bending. She gives me gymnast/acrobatic vibes so yeah.
Darnell; Fire bender with blue flame and access to lightning bending.
Cass; combustion. Idk, I don’t care for Cassandra or her goons much, but it felt right.
Cyclops; earth bender, affinity for metal bending
Hanzo; non-bender but is a Chi blocker.
Alucard; air bender. He feels like an air bender to me.
Spirit; water bender
Soul; is Blue’s little animal guardian thing. Whatever the fuck Korra’s polar-bear-dog thing is is what Soul is. Melanistic with little white freckles down his back and pale blue eyes, but still the polar-bear-dog thing.
C; a black cat with a missing eye. Yes, I shit you not. Just a genuine fucking black cat with an attitude problem. Blue saw him and went “he’s mine now.”
- then is my FNAF security breach au. The story for it is a bit all over the place, but Blue is 12, and got lost and the Plex. Everyone else are robos lol
- next one is actually based off of the game Lethal Company. THATS RIGHT, A LETHAL COMPANY AU- but it’s almost nothing like how the game functions. Basically, Blue is a child when he gets trapped on a moon (fuck if I can decide which one-) and it’s basically like- he’s human but, he gets raised by the monsters (some monsters being Soph, Pico, Ne, and Darnell, among the actual game-monsters) so he’s liek- a monster by association.
- a Day of Dragons au. Because yes. I like dragons; and I like the funky beep boop game so, immediately mashing them together once I realized I can create shit from it lmfao
-this one is actually inspired by another take on FNF and Hazbin Hotel. Because I love the show. Alastor is surprisingly goofy. ANYWAYS- the reference it has to the other take on FNF(idk who’s take it is, but I love it plz lemme know who’s au/take it is so I can credit them) is that GF(Soph, in my case), is an Angel, and BF(Blue) is a demon. Pico and the others are thrown around at random depending on how I end up deciding they fit so they’re kinda unknown rn, but those two for sure.
-last au i recently came up with and kinda adore, is an apocalypse au, but instead of zombies, it’s just monsters. Like- each monster is different from another, but they all have a basic element that determines their overall design. Like the basic Fire, water, air, and earth, but it also includes ice, metal, life, necrotic(death), shadow and light. And when a human gets bit by one of these monsters, they too become a monster. I already have a general beginning plot laid out for this it’s kinda sad lmfao
Anyways have these memes from PhantomFear’s server. IYKYK

One of your WIPs has a magic royal family that employs its unique strength to convince their populace that they are essentially omnipotent and should have unfettered access to all political power. I was wondering, in the history of your world, what range of opinions the actual members of this family have on this state of affairs? What is done with members of the family who think the whole thing is bullshit, assuming they exist? Do they have enough information to put to lie a little bit of the artifice the family holds?
HOLY SHIT thank you for this ask my friend! I can't believe you remembered all that haha<333333
I had so much fun with this and it helped me flesh out a ton of stuff!! These were the exact prompt questions I needed at this stage in my worldbuilding.
But uhhh... warning. This Loooonnnggg
I'll start with a little (pre-)history (for background).
The distinction between magic and science in this world (for the specific peoples who would go on to establish the monarchy) did not exist until the rise of the monarchy. It wasn't that they thought magic was just science that had yet to be understood or that they thought all science was magic... they didn't use that language at all. There were just things that happened, that therefore were real.
If we retroactively apply the later monarchical concept of magic to the pre-monarchy era, "magic" in some ways would have been like if everyone and their neighbour owned a nuclear arsenal. Except worse and harder to wrap your head around. There wasn't really a need for trade, conquest, or communal resource-sharing but there were strong familial bonds (because children were still dependent on parents, and then grew up having relationships with siblings, aunts and uncles, grandparents etc.). The need to separate "magic" from the rest of reality emerged first as a way to protect these relationships. It was, in a sense, a code of conduct which developed over many, many millennia and it shaped how people understood what was normal and natural versus what was against the laws of nature. What was a law of physics etc. and what was a law of magic were decided simultaneously based on what benefitted these family structures and what made it harder for them to endure.
Codifying what counted as natural and what went against nature ended up also strengthening power imbalances. Firstly between parents and children, where the child is born into the parent's world (the natural world as the parent has decided it is) and does not yet understand that they have the power to change or escape it. But the child may never figure it out and their own children may be born into the grandparent's reality instead of the parent's. The result is these elaborate clan systems where only the matriarch or patriarch (and maybe a chosen few descendants) actually knows about magic, let alone how to use it to their advantage.
Long story short, this ends up in several large clans all operating in slightly different versions of reality that occasionally interacted and that could easily become permanently severed from each other if a magic user decided so (or did so on accident). So again, in order to protect the relationships (friendships, trade in artwork and knowledge, romantic relationships) between these increasingly interconnected grounds it was decided that reality, and therefore science and magic, had to be standardized.
Eventually, a council of clan leaders came together to appoint the first queen. She had to be the most skilled and knowledgeable magic user among them, and her primary job was to use her magic to make sure everyone's scientific laws were the same and to keep anyone else from gaining enough knowledge to challenge her power. (It is slightly more complicated than this as the council obviously wouldn't want to give up their own power, but this answer is long enough lmaooooo)
Soooo, with all that background in mind, to answer your amazing questions:
What range of opinions the actual members of this family have on this state of affairs?
The very first queen (at the time) genuinely believed she was doing the right thing. It wasn't power for powers' sake (okay, maybe a little but that's for her to unpack in therapy) and she truly believed a world without someone like her would be dangerous, as she lived in such a world. She was very aware that magic and her power were nothing more than social constructs but she believed they were necessary (at least in the absence of something better).
This idea that the most magically powerful person needed to be in charge or the whole world would fall apart would go on to be the royal family's "divine right to rule" though very few people would ever actually understand why. "That's just how it is," was the de-facto answer to anyone who questioned it. Within the royal family itself, children were taught that anyone could become as powerful as them but still, it was necessary that someone be in charge and, well, how convenient they already were. It would be so much more difficult to change than to just keep on. Besides (especially after a few thousand years of this) they had been in power so long it might as well have been the intention of whatever being birthed the world in the first place that they were always meant to become the ones in charge (the existence of a creator-goddess in this world is heavily debated).
However, of course, individual royals might have their personal opinions. No one (for most of history) really is pro-"let everyone share equally in magic again and break apart reality as we know it" but there are some who are more willing to support alternative power-sharing systems that are more democratic and benevolent in nature. There are others that argue for a complete separation of magic from politics, that the royal family should stick to magic and leave the ruling to someone else; and still others that argue that it is impossible to separate the two, one, because everything is political and magic will influence what political issues exist in the first place or, two, because how the fuck do you stop someone who is nearly a god from re-taking over the world?? Like, there really is no point in trying.
I suppose there are also the power-hungry tyrants that actually like this state of affairs (and they account for a decent number).
But yeah, for the most part, the whole idea that magic power needs to be centralized and standardized, that the monarch needs the monopoly on violence so-to-speak, is so ingrained in their worldviews that they can't fathom how a world would function otherwise. So no one is really challenging it and calling the whole idea bullshit - at least, not seriously. Instead family members are more likely to disagree over things like, how should the class system be structured? Should there be one or should everyone be equal beneath the crown? How benevolent and merciful should the crown be? How involved in ruling and local issues? How much distance should the royal family keep from their people or should they mingle openly? What about between the royals and other aristocrats? Should elected local officials be allowed to make decisions that the royal family doesn't care to or must every official be appointed by the crown?
Like, trying to configure the system to work without actually changing it.
What is done with members of the family who think the whole thing is bullshit, assuming they exist?
It honestly depends on who is king/queen (or later emperor/empress) at the time. Anyone that goes as far as to share family secrets of course has to be dealt with severely, but whether that means death, imprisonment, torture, having their tongue cut out, or some magical punishment like being forgotten about by the entire world is really up to the monarch.
What is more interesting is how the royal family might do damage control if the secret gets out. (I won't get into that though because it's a decent chunk of the actual plot.)
As for other forms of dissent, some monarchs may be more tolerant of disagreement than others. As the most powerful member of the family other members can be a threat to the monarch but will never be true equals, so some monarchs may be completely tolerant even of family members who actively campaign to abolish the monarchy in favour of some form of magic republic because they just don't see them as a real threat. Other monarchs may use their power to shut down all dissent no matter how small.
Do they have enough information to put to lie a little bit of the artifice the family holds?
Okay, I must say, despite being a native English speaker I have never heard this expression before, so I assume you mean by this, "do they have enough information to expose the royal family's deception?"
If so, this is a really interesting question. I am still trying to work out just how the family prevents its members from sharing this information outside the family. Like, even if they just say, "don't tell anyone who isn't one of us," where do they draw the line? How do they stop parents who are too many generations removed from the line of succession from sharing this knowledge privately with their children? Because if this goes on for even five hundred years, then most people will be descended of the royals by that point.
In terms of if anyone in the royal family knows enough to expose the truth (that no one is inherently a more powerful magic user than everyone else, the royal family has essentially just cast a spell over the world that makes it this way, but it doesn't have to be)...
Yes and no?
Yes in that royals are taught the truth that magic is something that anyone could technically become powerful at, and they could reveal that to the rest of the world but...
No because the world is still structured in a way that makes magic come easier to some people (through socialization, and maybe some inherited traits... like if your ancestry on all sides is painters there may be a chance you also like to paint - idk how sounds this is scientifically speaking but people sure believe it. And if all the powerful magic users keep intermarrying over thousands of years... you get the point) and because the monarch has enough power to stop anyone else from getting too powerful. So theoretically everyone is equally magical but in practice... a single member of the royal family would not know enough to overthrow the monarch, implement an entirely new system of government, and deconstruct all the social and linguistic structures that reinforce monarchist and imperialist hegemony in order to actually make the world equal again.
And no because the monarch could just retroactively silence them with magic.
Like, they could speak out, but there is still a decent chance it won't change anything. Revealing the truth of how magic came to be is the first step to breaking "the spell" but it isn't enough on it's own and it can be undone easily enough.
I think I've covered all my bases here but I have the sneaking suspicion I am missing something. Oh well.

ah i made the mistake of opening the notes
my credentials: i have a genetic disability. my mom had it. now i have it. and a whole host of other health conditions from her.
for people not getting it: there have been incentives for aborting fetuses who may be disabled. im talking parents who WANT the baby being talked out of it by doctors who say their lives will be nothing but misery and sorrow and every day they will regret their choice and their child will suffer simply by existing and being disabled. this is a Problem. this is eugenics, the idea you can coerce peoples reproductive choices because disabled people, poor people, and people of color dont deserve to be born.
notice how OP has never said "which is why it should be outlawed". because undoing decades to centuries of eugenics will not be done by simply banning it legally. in fact it'll only lead to more problems. forcing people to have disabled kids will not make their lives any better, and will in fact lead to them resenting their children they werent prepared for. instead the way to stop eugenics around abortion will be remove the other road blocks that other people have raised points for against this post
"well disabled children are expensive and a lot of work! its not ableist for parents to decide they can't take care of said child!" it's not, but our society is. why does every ounce of responsibility fall of them? why is medical care not cheaper? why arent there aids to help the parents take care of their child? why is there not better community support?
"well what if the fetus developed abnormally and wouldnt survive?" then that's honestly the choice for parents to make. no, i don't think its better to be forced to give birth to a child that is going to die a painful, prolonged death. honestly for me this is like the debate over assisted suicide: yeah, i do think if you have terminal cancer and like 3 months to live and there is 0 hope for you to ever recover and you will spend those 3 months doing nothing but suffer you have a right to say no, you wanna go out with dignity. but we also see doctors and governments telling disabled people who are NOT terminally ill "well its just too much work to find you a place to live and medical care we absolutely could give you. would you like to commit suicide instead?" (real shit that does in fact actually happen). but a lot of disabilities they can pick up on via testing are not fucking death sentences. your child having autism will not fucking kill them within hours of birth.
"what if carrying a disabled fetus means you're prone to more health conditions?" look. if carrying the baby to term is severely impacting your health or your doctor thinks this is too much, you have a right to make that choice yourself. again, no one is saying fucking ban all abortion if the fetus is disabled. there are more colors than black and white. some people will deal with health complications for able bodied children, why cant they want to do it for a disabled child too?
"so you're saying people who have abortions should feel bad about it if the fetus is disabled" no. feeling bad about it won't make all the systemic issues behind that choice go away. they dont exist in a vacuum. our society is ableist and built upon eugenics in many aspects. one person who doesn't have the resources having to take care of a disabled toddler will not undo eugenics.
also like. people use the argument of "you SHOULD in fact abort disabled fetuses" against. real living born fully grown disabled people. i have had someone say my mom shouldnt have ever gotten pregnant bc of a genetic condition she wasn't aware she even HAD when she had me. i have had people tell me "wouldnt it be so much easier if you werent in pain because you were never born?" like jesus fucking christ why would you say that to someone. i don't want to have never been born, i just want society to be more friendly to disabled people and for me to have actual access to pain management and easier medical care.
other disabled people might not want to have children who share their genetic condition. thats fine. they know their suffering intimately enough and how difficult their childhoods were. they know all the complications that could arise. its a personal choice on that front. when OP is saying "aborting a fetus just because it would be disabled is eugenics" they are not saying every single person who has ever done so is a proud eugenicist and we should outlaw abortion. theyre talking about the general trends of it.
Gentle reminder that you can be 100% pro choice and still understand that aborting a fetus because it will be disabled as a human is a eugenicist idea that comes from absolutely horrifying ideas that have been placed in western culture as a result of more overt eugenics movements in our past.

SAT Online Coaching And Its Effectiveness in Preparation
The Scholastic Academic Test, also known as the SAT, is one of the crucial examinations for students to enrol in universities in the USA for higher studies. Thus, a compelling score on the SAT is of utmost importance for youngsters. Hard work and uncompromisable preparation are required to ensure competitive results.
The best SAT coaching should be opted for to aid the learning process, enhance productivity in grasping the subjects, and timely assess one's growth while analyzing one's strengths and weaknesses.
Now, when it comes to SAT coaching, one can either pick offline classes or SAT online coaching. When deciding between the two, one should note that the study material provided by an institute is the same; it's just the mode. Whereas offline sessions offer a better one-to-one interaction with the tutor, online SAT coaching offers extra time for self-preparation at home.
If you want to learn more about online SAT coaching and how it is a much better option for your learning, keep reading the blog.

The Rise of SAT Online Coaching
Looking at trends observed in the SAT coaching dimension, the adoption of online SAT preparation has risen significantly.
The reasons behind this are many; however, the most obvious are the convenience of accessing study materials, practice tests, and expert guidance. Additionally, it has eliminated the need to travel to physical coaching centres.
Advantages of SAT Online Coaching
To talk about the various perks displayed by both the best SAT coaching and online classes, have a look at below given pointers.
1. Flexibility and Convenience:
One of the biggest advantage of SAT online coaching is that it allows students to create a personalized study schedule that fits their routine. Whether it's early morning or late at night, students can access study materials at their convenience, hence making it easier to balance other commitments.
2. Access to Expert Instructors:
The most admired thing about the best SAT coaching online platforms is that they provide students with access to experienced and highly qualified instructors. These educators offer valuable insights, strategies, and personalized feedback, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the unique challenges of the SAT.
3. Comprehensive Study Materials:
Online coaching programs often provide an extensive array of study materials, including practice tests, video lectures, and interactive quizzes. These resources cover every aspect of the SAT, allowing students to strengthen their weak areas and build confidence.
4. Real-Time Progress Tracking:
Another beneficial factor of online coaching is that it provides pupils with tracking tools, thus allowing them to keep a record of their progress and identify areas for improvement.
Choosing the Best SAT Online Coaching
Because there are multiple institutes available, it becomes challenging to filter down the best ones. But in order to narrow down your picks and refine them properly, one should consider factors such as the platform's reputation, the expertise of instructors, available study materials, and the flexibility of the program.
Conclusion
It can be said that not just for one, but for multiple reasons, SAT online coaching is the better choice for aspirants to go with. Adding to it, there are multiple advantages, and the discarded need to commute to the centre makes it a flexible and much more effective approach for SAT preparation. By embracing technology and leveraging the benefits of online resources, students can conveniently start their journey towards academic success. Whether you are a high school student preparing for the SAT or a parent guiding your child, considering online coaching may be the key to unlocking the full potential for success on test day.
