Wrong Ticket
Danny bought a plane ticket to travel to Goshen, Indiana to visit his father's family. Apparently his aunt was very excited to meet him, and Jazz was excited to send him away from the lab after his accident.
She was worried that she would have to spend a few days scouting colleges, and Danny would be left home unguarded (she wouldn't make that mistake twice, her parents didn't count as good guards and Danny would be too bored since he was on school holidays), so the invitation from their uncles was like a miracle fallen from heaven.
Unfortunately for Danny, his family didn't check the ticket after purchasing it, and therefore they didn't notice the error where "Goshen, Indiana" was changed to "Gotham, New Jersey," so when the airline called his flight, Danny didn't notice his destination. He practically fell asleep a few seconds after entering the plane.
Danny wished he had been paying attention when a few hours later he found himself stranded on the streets of Gotham with nothing but his luggage and a little money. Though that last seemed more of a risk than a benefit if he took into account the way they watched him as he passed.
As if that wasn't enough, it seemed that something strange was starting to happen to him, there were moments where his backpack would slip from his grip, almost as if he was walking through it, and others where he felt invisible. This did not go unnoticed by the denizens of Gotham, who were assessing him with clear interest.
Red Hood, who had noticed the guy (possibly meta) stumbling into his territory, sighed and offered him a temporary place to stay. Danny, who just met the strange guy in the red helmet, was relieved to have temporary lodging, though he would probably look for another place the next day. Just in case.

Hi, may i request a yandere!batfam where the reader gets a crush on someone at their school?
By the way, your blog is so pretty.
Thank you!
Platonic Yandere!Batfam
Summary: How do they deal with their darling having a crush?
CW: no warnings
(not edited or proofread)
Bruce:
-Very tempted to separate you from your crush
-You probably have to change schools or he'll have Alfred homeschool you
-Tries to be subtle and gentle, but the others are a bad influence on him
Dick:
-He completely invades your privacy in the name of your safety and finds out that way
-If you write in a diary, he reads every entry
-Will be very invasive and pushy when it comes to asking questions about your crush
-He either confronts you alone or gets Alfred or Bruce to tag along
-If you don't answer his questions immediately, he gets obnoxiously whiny
-After a while his personality completely switches and he gets serious, threatening you with punishments
-It's scary how quickly he changes
-No matter how long it takes, you will cave and tell him everything you know
Jason:
-When Jason finds out about your crush, he won't talk to you about it, he won't let you know that he is aware of it
-He will, however, talk to your crush
-Red Hood goes and has a friendly chat with your crush, who happens to move far away and stop contacting you very soon after
-Although he believes that there is nothing redeeming about your crush, he won't ever blame you for falling in love
-He understands that it's normal, besides he is very sure that you're just lonely and desperate for affection
-No worries, your family is here for you
-If he notices your mood declining, he will spend more time with you
-He watches films, plays games and even goes out for ice cream with you, anything to distract you from your former crush
Tim:
-He found out first, because he keeps his eye on you through cameras all the time
-Does a complete background check to make sure they don't pose a threat to you
-No matter what he finds out about them, he will want to cut you off from them as soon as possible
-First, he will talk to Bruce about you breaking off school
-If that fails, he will tell the whole family about your crush, making sure to exaggerate all the negative things about them
-Basically, your whole family now hates your crush and will guilt trip you into disliking them too
-"But they kicked a kitten", Damian's pleading eyes look up at you.
-"They commit tax evasion", Tim frowns.
-"They cheated on their last partner", Jason scowls.
-You're convinced
Damian:
-Protective of you and fully believes that there is not a single person in the universe outside of your family who deserves your affection
-Tries to make your crush seem ordinary by being better than them at everything
-They can draw? Damian can draw better
-They like reading? Damian reads more
-They remember a small detail about you? Damian knows you better than you know yourself
-After a while of outdoing them at everything and convincing you that there is nothing special about them, you stop crushing on them

Immortal Cop Danny P.2
Part 1
So, we have seen my scenario where Danny is revealed as an Immortal Cop really late in the Timeline, like nearly the entire Batfamily has already been formed kinds of late.
But what about a world where Danny has been on the Force since Batman Year 1?
Officer/Detective Nightingale has been one of the best and most loyal members of the GCPD for well over 3 decades. He didn't hide his "Meta Ability" when he first joined the force, since Gotham hadn't been introduced to all of their Superpowered Rouges yet, and the attitude for Metas in Gotham was nowhere near as harsh as it would be in the future.
He was one of the Go-To Cops in the early days of the Batman, since he had proven to be trustworthy and most people felt comfortable talking to him. Most of the community respected him, although some saw his power of Immortality as unnatural or freakish.
Batman met Officer Danny on one of his earliest cases. Danny pushed him out of the way of a Bullet and saved his life, getting shot in the process.
Bruce will never forget when Danny reached into the hole on his side and pulled the bullet out with his fingers. He didn't even flinch.
Danny has also been one of Commissioner Gordon's best friends and closest confidants for years. He was even offered the job of Commissioner once due to his extensive experience on the Force, but refused since he knew Gotham would never accept a Meta Commissioner, or maybe because he believed that he wasn't the right fit for the job.
Dick remembers the time when Officer Nightingale found out about Robin's age. He will always think of Danny laying into Bruce for bringing in such a young kid as one of his fondest memories.
Gordon remembers being invited to dinner with Danny's mom, a nice if cryptic lady dressed in gothic clothes who thanked him for all the work he did for the city, and for keeping her streets as safe as possible. Apparently she did the same for Batman, who had gone to Danny's apartment for some information and left with a full belly and plenty of leftovers.
He was basically the best Cop you could ask for. Calm, kind, honest, understanding, and he genuinely seemed to be trying to help the people around him.
Barbra calls him Uncle Danny, and he was there to help her adjust when she lost use of her legs.
Commissioner Gordon thinks of Danny as his best Cop/Friend, unflappable and loyal to a fault.
Bruce thinks of him as one of his more trusted allies, on the same level as Commissioner Gordon even.
Robin called him "Cool Cop D". Later, he was one of the reasons Dick decided to become a Police Officer.
Hell, even Damian commended the man's resolve to help the City, which was considered a monumental feat at the time.
Which is why it was such a shock when Danny disappeared.
He just didn't show up for work one day. This in and of itself wasn't too out of the ordinary, but he usually called in to tell them he was gonna miss a day. They thought it was just because he was so anxious lately, jumping at the little things like a guy bumping into him or asking to leave room at the mention of Autopsies
Then he missed the next day. Not that bad, I mean he had been really stressed out recently. Maybe he just needed an extra day, to work off the stress? Nobody was really worried anything had happened to him, he was immortal after all, but they were still concerned.
Then he missed a third day. This was far more concerning. The last time this happened, Danny had been found passed out in his apartment because he hadn't slept in days and hadn't eaten in weeks (what's the point if he won't die either way?).
He had been put on medical leave for a month after that.
So one of the guys decided to visit his house, just to see if he needed some help.
They find the apartment empty. No evidence that he ever lived there. It was like the entire place had been scrubbed clean of anything that even hinted at his existence, and whoever had done it obviously wanted to cover their tracks.
So, an investigation is launched.
And almost instantly, the Feds take the Case from the GCPD and declare Danny as dead a week later.
Seems they forgot to take a look at his Resume...
So Gordon takes this to Bats, who immediately starts investigating the Feds in White who showed up to steal the case.

Hello love! I hope this new year is treating you well! May I please have headcanons of Jason’s reaction when his s/o says Red Hood is their favorite superhero? Like they have no idea that Jason and red hood are the same person so they’re always like, “wow red hood’s so amazing! But not as amazing as you Jay!” Thank you 🙏 💕
Jason Todd x Reader That’s A Fan Of Red Hood Headcanons
————————————————————————
- Credit to the images owners - Please be specific about characters wanted in headcanons -
Masterlist Navigation
• Jason would definitely be surprised when you mention your passion towards Red Hood, or at least the fact that you like him. This surprised reaction from Jason wouldn't leave either, whenever you have anything good to say about Red Hood then it'll be as if he's hearing something shocking for the first time all over again simply due to the fact he hardly hears comments about himself that aren't negative. He seems to be quite controversial around Gotham.
• As he probably didn't meet you through being connected to other vigilantes, and was presenting himself as being as much of a normal person as could at the time, then he definitely didn't tell you about being Red Hood. And he would try his best to keep it that way, almost always brushing off your concerns about his injuries or bruises, and even his disappearances, through the regular use of sarcasm.
• One of his main reasons for hiding this from you would be him being scared of your reaction. Despite being tough and cold on the outside most of the time, he actually cares deeply about what you think of him and is pretty self-conscious about hoq you view him. In his mind, finding out about him being Red Hood may give you a reason to leave him on op of all of his other not so great qualities, even if this was just a projection of his own fears rather than how you actually would have felt.
• After you express your fondness of Red Hood he starts to purposefully pay close attention to your schedule and knowing whenever you go out later on in the evening. The last thing he wants is for you to accidently stumble across him as he's patrolling the streets, so he plans ahead to do his best to avoid you, and hopefully preventing you from figuring out who his is by stopping you from seeing Red Hood up close.
• The longer you express positive feelings about Red Hood for the more he starts to get paranoid and feel guilty about being around you. He knows that since you're just a normal person that a villain or someone with bad intentions could get a hold of you whenever he isn't around to use you against him, it also means someone could follow him to where he meets you or to where you live just to find out his identity. There are plenty of ways that things could go wrong if he isn't constantly extremely careful.
• Deep down he does actually like the fact that you approve of Red Hood and are somewhat of a fan of him, if you were a bit of an obsessed fan then he would still enjoy that you were although being slightly concerned. He may even bring up the topic of Red Hood just to hear you talk about him which also helps him feel better about himself and what he's doing without expressing it.
• Realising that he wants to act better knowing that you're watching the reports on his activity and looking forward to any mentions of Red Hood being sighted around Gotham, he purposefully goes out of his way to be on his best behaviour whenever the situation allows for it (more that Bruce could have ever convinced him to).
• After a while, Jason may try to test the waters to see how you may react about seeing Red Hood in real life, and this may help him see that you finding out who he really is won't end in a bad way. To do this, he may stage a little run in with you on a quiet night just to see your reaction, and not hanging around long enough for anyone to stumble across him interacting with you as the Red Hood. Putting up with your reaction and constant mentioning of it in the days afterwards won't be something he's irritated by, and will actually help fuel his comfort about you finding out.
•When he finally tells you, he's going to be his usual dramatic self, and you'll probably think he has something absolutely terrible to tell you when he sits you down for the conversation. But once he does tell you, he feels the burden instantly lifted from him. He'll still be concerned about you, but at least now he can be honest with you and not stress over making up lies or trying to hide things from you.

i challenge you to try and make me cry with dick and tim angst.
Hmm... alright. Let's hope this mini fic works
Dick was tired. He had the Titans, but he didn't have a family anymore. Bruce had made that clear when he told him to drop off his key with Alfred. All the young adult wanted to know was why Bruce didn't tell him about Jason. That was his brother. That was one of the reasons he even bothered to go to the Manor anymore. That was his baby brother.
And Bruce had lowered his body into the ground without informing Dick. Dick didn't even get to hold Jason one last time. He didn't get to kiss his forehead for one last wish of peace. He didn't get to say goodbye to the kid he was just getting to know.
That was his brother, and he found out about his death accidentally through a computer screen.
He just wanted to ask his dad why he never bothered to tell Dick. Instead, his father hit him, swore he would've just fired Jason anyways (as he did to Dick), and basically told him to never come back.
So, Dick didn't have a family. He was an orphan again, but this time through willful abandonment. He was tired, but what other choice did he have? Even if he missed Alfred, he won't go to Wayne Manor. It's not home.
At least, that's what Dick kept telling himself. At least, that's what Dick thought until a child with bright eyes corned him at the circus.
This child, Tim, kept rambling on and on about how Dick needs to drag himself back to Wayne Manor to save his "father." Dick didn't have a dad. Dick didn't want to go.
The traitorous part of him worried about the man who raised him. He squashed it down ruthlessly.
No.
That's not the part of him that dragged him back emotionally kicking and screaming.
It was the kid, Tim, who looked so much like Jason. Although his hair was pin straight in comparison to Jason's wavy hair, the look in his eyes were the same. Determined, starstruck, and wanting to help.
Dick wants to scream.
If he had it his way, the child would never know what it's like to fly across Gotham's rooftops, bite out a witty remark, or punch a goon in the face. Tim is clever, though, and refuses to tell Dick how he knows their identity until the older man talks to Bruce.
Dick's face aches at the thought.
He doesn't have a choice. Tim knows their identities. Others could as well.
Even though a small part of Dick despises Tim for forcing him to go back, most of him never wants the child to set foot into those halls. If Tim is right, Bruce has only gotten worse. Dick doesn't think Bruce would hit a child, but he didn't think Bruce would hit him either.
Still, Dick drags Tim back to the Manor, gets into another screaming match with Bruce, and prays there won't be another child in red, green, and yellow.
When Two Face captures him and Bruce, Dick thinks he'd rather be dead than see Tim in that fucking uniform. The uniform Alfred had let that child steal.
It seems there's no choice. Tim's going to be Robin.
The last part of Dick's hope holds onto the irrational belief that changing his dynamic with Tim, being a better brother, might save the teen from the same fate as Jason.
So he tries. He takes the kid out for ice cream and train hopping. He teaches him how to be Robin (how to be safe) and is silently grateful that he doesn't live with Bruce. He takes Tim out for patrols, introduces him to the Titans, and listens as Tim tells him about his life. He watches Tim slowly drop his guard, slowly open up more, and slowly trust the Dick is truly his older brother.
And then Dick calls him Jason.

I had a bit of a messed up thought👀
What if Branch found out about their little "sleep secret" but kept quiet about it until he could slide it to the four of them. I just picture the four older brothers waking up with their hands tied at the bottom of the bunker and a Branch in front of them saying,
"Do you all think I'm an idiot?"
Cause like, Branch has gotta be sus! His sleep schedule suddenly and permanently changed out of nowhere? But I love the idea of Branch being equally as unstable as his family,
"Why do you have a secret basement you didn't tell anyone about?"
"Don't worry about it"
He doesn't change out of nowhere, he did it gradually, enough so that Branch won't notice it and when he does he just thinks that maybe he's more at peace with himself (a little, he still has a lot to address).
But oh oh ooooh, when he realizes, when he finds out, he'll be very confused, I don't know if it's possible but he'll go through all the stages of grief, because, why would his brothers drug him, and he'd realize that it's only at dinner for him to sleep.
He devised a plan to find out why, a small part of him believed it was for his health, it wouldn't be the first time they try to give him something for his sleep problems, either he sleeps little or no sleep, he hopes that is the case and that his siblings have a valid reason, betrayal, they have it, but not the one Branch expected.
He managed to skip dinner one night and pretended to be tired enough that his siblings wouldn't be suspicious, and went to bed, nothing happened for at least 1 hour, he was starting to believe it was just his paranoia, when the door opened.
And Floyd came in, sat on the bed next to Branch, and ran his hand through Branch's hair, Branch was turning his back to him, so he didn't see Floyd's face, but he did hear him shutting up the others. Lyego Floyd lay down and started singing a lullaby, Branch was confused and somewhat scared.
"He looks like a baby, because he can't stay like this forever, just like that, calm and innocent" Bruce's voice startled him a little, Floyd hugged him and stroked his head trying to make him sleep
"hehe yes, be so calm, he must be very tired" was Clay this time "what the hell did that silly queen do?" Clay sounded annoyed
"Who cares, if things go on like this Bitty B doesn't need that so-called friend, when he can have us his best and magnificent brothers, who love him and protect him" John Dory's hand stroked his hair "We're the best choice, baby Branch will notice"
If Branch felt sick, he now believes Creek was right about his brothers, and he hates to admit that.
And if maybe I don't think Branch did something so, you can call it drastic??, but I don't think he will attract his brothers and try to beat the truth out of him (although funny series), but yes Branch is almost as emal as his brothers, but not in that way so I see him trying to be smarter so that others realize the truth and when that doesn't work
Well, Branch always has contingency plans (one of them is to run away but that's a last resort, which if it ends up happening)

You know, just read that prompt about Timmy quietly accepting his own death at Jason's command...
I kinda want the opposite.
I want a furious, yelling, fighting Tim, with a major broken pedestal as far as Jason is concerned.
Okay, he can get why Jason blames him, for taking the Robin suit. And maybe Bruce deserves a bit of it too.
But what he absolutely can't and won't forgive is Jason going after Dick. Especially since Dick forgives it so readily, since Dick is the one pleading for forgiveness.
Tim was there. He saw what Jason's death did to all of them. And he can't believe Jason would ever doubt Dick, that Jason would turn up to hurt him worse.
Tim being like... "You know, all the time I was trying to keep them from killing themselves, I kept telling myself, telling them, that you wouldn't want them to hurt like that. But you wanted it, didn't you? Want it. You never wanted them to heal. You never wanted them to move on. Maybe, if you had come back then, come back when B was trying to get himself killed, when Dick was catatonic curled up on your grave and trying to starve himself to death, maybe you'd have been happy at last? Or would you have decided that isn't enough either? Not enough punishment for not making you his absolute top priority for once, just once, in his life?"
And Tim going "I hate you. But I'll pretend to love you, because everyone knows Dick will choose you anytime. And I daren't leave him at your mercy."
I want post-Red Hood Jason working to earn Tim's forgiveness and trust again.
Oh yes, that’s also an interesting take! And one that (I think) comes closer to how he would react in canon. Tim is a spitfire and we love him for it 💚
And while I definitely want to explore this version of him eventually, I think it wouldn’t tie into how the Owl Song verse is set up.
Although if Owl Song does get its continuation, I think there would be some struggling on Tim’s part. Not for himself (never for himself) but for Dick and Bruce. A struggle to make Jason understand that nobody ever wanted to replace him.
In this universe, Tim wouldn’t be able to scrounge up the anger that would result in him hating Jason. Jason did too much for him to do that. He brought Tim into the family fold. Without Jason, Dick would have never accepted him. Jason, though it wasn’t his intention and he genuinely loved Tim, built the stepping stone that resulted in Tim becoming Robin.
Because any other kid trying to be Robin after Jason? Dick wouldn’t have stopped his mad pursuit for anything. Tim having “hatchling” status (ie family) is literally what saved him.
If you look deeper than surface level, the Owl Song verse is pretty twisted in its own way. And Dick could very quickly become a real monster if nobody keeps him grounded at least somewhat. With Jason gone and Bruce being someone Dick now borderline despises— yeah, it’s very lucky that Jason met Tim in school and went “must protect” and had Dick pick up on that. 🦉
#sorry I’m not very coherent rn I think my brain is sorta fried oops#owl song#very dark in its own way#altho we mostly see the happy parts#but the codependency between Jason and Dick is potentially terrifying#the depths of which Bruce is only now starting to grasp for real#talon dick grayson#Jason todd#Tim drake

U know how Cass and Tim are twins? And how Tim and Damian fight for the number one brother of Dick Grayson spot? These got me thinking of a fun idea.
When Tim finally gets to grow up and be in his 20s, he's clearly taller than Cass, so the twin thing doesn't really work anymore unless you can't see them fully.
No one thinks anything of it, Cass and Tim get a little sad about it but oh well.
Then Tim and Dick along with some titans or/and young justice members go on a mission that requires stealth outfits, like the one we see in the you g justice tv show.
So Tim and Dick, in identical costumes, domino masks, and about the same length of hair because why not, and now not so far in height after Tim's final growth spurt look very similar, especially when they're moving fast in the shadows so you can't really tell if that one is taller or I'd that one has more round face etc.
So one of the titans or young justice mixes them up. And they kind of brush it of after a little "You're right they do look kinda similar nowadays".
But it doesn't stop there. Although they usually wear their normal costumes and in civil clothes you can tell them apart from their faces, there are times when they're wearing something else and you can't see their face.
And the behavioral similarities don't help either. It's not really a suprise, given that they saw Tim at his teenage worship phase, so of course some of it had to stick. But then they notice Dick has picked up stuff from Tim too. And it's not a suprise either, since they're brothers. But it doesn't make them easier to tell apart.
They sometimes tease them about it, but it's not really a problem so they don't pay any mind to it. Sometimes they even make a joke about it themselves.
But then they're in Gotham. Maybe they're staying at the manor and one of them is sitting face away from the door and Bruce or one of their siblings (not Cass, she could tell) comes in and is like "Hey Tim" and then Dicks head whips around and he's like "What" and the family member just stands there stunned. They just agree it was the hair and that the person was very tired.
But then, Bruce and Damian come back from patrol to the batcave. Dick is sitting in front of the batcomputer. Damian recognizes him, but Bruce has a mild concussion so he's not really paying attention to details so he says "Tim, while you're there could you check in on the Joker" (or something I dunno) and Damian freezes. Then Tim, who just came down the stairs says "uh, Bruce, I'm over here?" Bruce looks confused for a moment and Dick turns the chair around. Bruce says "Sorry, concussion" and goes to change. Damian's about to chalk it off to that but then he hears Tim and Dick whispering "Do we really look that similar" "I guess so. At this point only one who hasn't confused us is Cass"
Damian just scoffs loudly. "Only an imbecile would confuse the two of you. Father just has a concussion. No one in their right mind would think you two are the tiniest bit similar" Then he heads off.
And that's when the best idea he's ever had hits him in the Face.
He starts to intentionally act like Dick. He picks up on his habit, starts saying some words in Dick's non gothamite accent. Even starts do more flips and dramatics. Dick of course notices, but doesn't say anything because it's kinda nice. Tim doesn't do it around any other members of the family so they won't notice. Then when one or some of their friends confuses him for Dick out of costume, even tho Dick is in another city all together, he know it's his time.
He waits for the perfect opportunity. Maybe another stealth mission. Maybe they're in a undercover mission where he and Dick wear the same suits. Anyway. He does everything exactly the way Dick would. He copies his mannerisms, he even wears lifts. And to make the plan foolproof he informs Dick about it. Their hair is the exact same, they don't speak much so their voice won't give them away but when they do they do it in the exact same tone.
And guess who's also there? Cass. And yeah, if she had the time to fully assess them, she could tell them apart. But there's not time. Things move quickly, they're running and swinging and moving around a lot and fast. And she mistakes, Tim for Dick. Of course when they correct her she sees the difference. But Damian, who maybe was also there or listening in or something, along with everyone else is shocked. How could Cain of all people confuse Drake for Grayson?
Word spreads fast and soon everyone is calling them twins. Dick tells his friends that he's honored that Tim has taken after him so much. Tim tells people that Dick and him have always had a very close sibling bond, that nothing could match. When they're asked about it together they say that it's awesome and joke that they are so close they might as well be twins.
Damian is furious and jealous. They have unmatchable bond? They are close? What a joke. He is was Grayson's robin. They were the dynamic duo. The best. He'll make everyone remember that.
What does he do? He grows his hair. He starts doing more flips. He changes his body language, accent even. Everything Tim did. But he takes it a step further, because of course. He starts visiting Bludhaven more often. Asking Grayson to help with a case in Gotham. Organizes an undercover surveillance mission in Bludhaven, and only logical place to stay is with Dick. He even starts implanting himself on titans missions.
Tim notices. And that's how the war begins. Damian is of course easier to tell apart from Dick with him being notably shorter, but he finds a way around that. Now everyone is mistaking them for Dick. And people start suspecting. The batfamily knows. So do their closest friends. Bruce is so done. Dick loves it. He might've had a hand in it.
What do the other siblings do? They join in. Cass copies him easily, but her height fails her often. Steph gets a wig and babs borrows it sometimes. Duke uses his powers to cheat a little.
Everyone is horrified when after a mission Nightwing takes his mask off and rips his hair that was apparently a wig off and it's Jason fucking Todd. They were too busy copying Dick to notice that Nightwing was a little too tall and had wider shoulders than usual. Now everyone is Paranoid. (yes dick was in on it. Yes it was Steph's wig)
Eventually Dick has to start copying Bruce so they will stop. He's kinda sad that now his siblings don't have a reason to see him so often anymore. But Tim and Damian still keep trying to one up each other. tho they take the imitating down a notch, they still fight for the best brother spot.
Everyone in the hero community cries tears of joy when Nightwing is Nightwing 10 times in a row.

So since Clark is def considered a part of the Mersupials' pod, I'm super curious as to what they think is going on with the separation of Dick and Jason (and baby Damian in Dick's pouch) from Bruce and Tim. Does Dick think he and Clark both were forced to move together? Does Bruce think Clark betrayed him?
So Dick doesn't know that Jason is gone, so he would still assume he's with Bruce. He does think of Clark as pod though and as a part of his home, so he assumes that they were taken together. Clark did drug him prior, which confuses him, but I think he's mainly focused on why him and Clark are living here now. Clark won't really tell him though so he's frustrated by it. He really wants to go back home now. Bruce knows that Clark and Dick are gone and he really wants to know where his baby is. He's at least used to Clark leaving because Clark has periodic departures (going back to his apartment, going on vacation, etc) so he's not as concerned about Clark leaving. Dick, though... he's never been away from his baby for more than a few days. I'm not sure he's ever been away from Dick for a full week so to suddenly have Dick gone without much explanation to why, well Bruce is pretty freaked out and then Clark just doesn't come back. Then Jason is taken violently and Bruce's pod of four and a half has been whittled into two.
As for the baby switch, I do think Bruce understands this and is the least concerned about it. He knows Tim is still pouch-bound and needs to nurse. Bruce is the only one with milk, so he gets that Tim *has* to be with him and Dick isn't really an option. The new egg, Damian, would have to go into Dick's pouch because Tim needs Bruce. Dick, meanwhile also understands that the only way both Tim and the new egg lives is if he takes the egg. He could reject it and I'm sure he considered it, but he didn't have the heart. Plus, Bruce has taught him about pouching so he isn't completely blind. He just... hasn't exactly done it either. Alfred though, is helping in that department, although most of what Dick is doing is just passive baking at the moment.

Hi there! My name is Aspen, and this is a repost of my one-shot whump fic of Dick Grayson (Nightwing) struggling against Mad Hatter’s control. If you’re interested, a link to my Ao3 account is on my profile, have a great day!
—
A heavy pulse thundered in his ears, alongside searing pain in a tight band around his head and the shrill screeching that rang discordantly with his usual tinnitus. Somewhere beyond the agony and chaos in his mind, there were voices loudly arguing. About what, Dick wasn't entirely sure. His mind and energy were being spent on fighting whatever was putting him through this Hell.
Focus. Focus. How did I get here? What happened just before the pain?
All he could remember was being directed by Oracle to follow up on a report, but everything else was becoming increasingly hazy.
Okay. If the "Before" is too hard, try to figure out the now.
Even if the pain wouldn't subside, temporary reprieve could come from focusing on the other sensations in his body. Dick looked around to see a concrete floor... dark walls... and the symbol that's haunted every nightmare, as well as every dream of hope he's had since childhood, the bat symbol. A familiar red helmet stood out to the side. Bruce and Jason.
He could feel cold concrete on his cheek, and colder air on his head and face. The familiar feeling of his suit contrasted strongly with the unfamiliar and heavy feeling of his arms bound to his chest - is this a straight jacket? Who put him in a straight jacket? Was he a prisoner somewhere?
Outside the ringing and the pounding in Dick's ears, Jason's raised voice clashed with Bruce's, and what sounded like other jumbled and unseen voices from slightly further away echoes behind.
I won't worry about the other senses... okay... my hair is gone, I'm in a straight jacket, I'm on the floor, I'm in a closed off and dark room, and Bruce and Jason are arguing.
Dick was in no state to put the pieces together, as his head pain erupted into something far more severe, eliciting a cry of shock and a jerk of pain from him. Even thrashing on the ground, someone with strong hands managed to sit Dick upright. Who was he looking at? The haziness that came from the ear-splitting ringing and now truly thunderous headache brought a level of disorientation that Dick wasn't used to. He saw the color red, but that was all he could make out.
A voice that sounded as if it was underwater spoke to him, definitely coming from the mass of red in front of him.
"Dick! Snap out of it! Tell us where Hatter's chip is and we'll get it off of you."
Dick? Hatter? Who are they? No. Dick is me. I am Dick. God this hurts...
A strange feeling that resembled dread settled in Dick's stomach the moment the voice had finished speaking. So did a sense of jealousy, although he couldn't identify why he was feeling either at the sound of a voice that sounded as if it wanted to help him. Regardless, he couldn't bring himself to do much of anything.
Why do I feel afraid? Why can't I answer? Who would I be answering?
A new, very clear voice rang through his head.
In front of you is the man who replaced you, who made you worthless to the person you trusted most.
Worthless...? I haven't felt worthless since - Jason. Jason replaced me.
That's right. Jason Todd. The Red Hood. The second Robin. The better Robin.
No... that's wrong. Jason is... something else. Wait. Who is Jason?
"Dick! Are you listening to me? I know it hurts, come on tell me how to help you! We can't get the chip if you don't tell us where it is, we don't have time here! It's me, Jason! Come on, you only have to respond for a second!" The red mass in front of Dick disappeared, and instead was the face of a man with dark, concerned and angry eyes. Dark hair too. Except for that white in the front. When did Jason get white hair again? Who is Jason?
Submit, Nightwing. Submit to my command and I will ensure Jason Todd is served justice for what he did to you.
Very suddenly, a new pain, far more extreme than the pain in his head, cracked and splintered through his leg. Dick let out a pained yell, but for a moment, his mind was cleared.
"DICK! Where did Hatter put the chip?" Jason had gripped the collar of the straight jacket and was desperately screaming in Dick's face.
"Jason? I don't know what you're-"
"MAD HATTER!!! The mind control chip, where is it?!"
Dick's memory cleared in that instant. He could remember earlier that afternoon, when Babs had told him about the Mad Hatter sighting, and where to go. He could remember sneaking his way there, and watching the crazed Jervis Tetch from a distance. And he could remember being strapped down, before that thing had been implanted, and passing out from the pain of that procedure.
"Fuck, I don't know! But they were cutting into my-" The pain, the ringing, and the pounding returned with a violent force all at once. "AGH, my head!"
"Bruce it's in his head, tell them and get a surgeon in here NOW!"
They don't truly care, Nightwing. You know that. Batman only wants his weapon. He's not going to save you because he wants you alive. He doesn't care. And the Red Hood only thinks he cares, because Batman is telling him to. I can handle both of them. Just submit, Nightwi-
"Dickie, I know it hurts but you've gotta listen to me. There's a surgeon on his way. We'll get that thing out of you. I swear I'd cut in myself if I knew for sure it wouldn't kill you. You've gotta hang on." A man was in front of Dick again, speaking softly this time, but desperately nonetheless. Who was it?
"Keep him out of your head, Dick. If you give in, I don't know for sure if we can get you back, and you can't do that to us."
Do you see? He only cares for their benefit.
Exhaustion was setting in, and with it, the ringing and throbbing seemed to dull. It would be so easy to just sleep, and let the pain, and the confusion go away. The man in front of him was shouting at him in what was easily identifiable as rage, and still concern. Dick figured even if he didn't know who he was talking to, he at least owed him some kind of response.
"Us...?" was all Dick managed to get out.
"Oh come on Dickie, yes, us. Bruce, me, Tim, Damian, Barbara, Starfire for Christ's sake!"
Fragments of images flashed through Dick's mind. Most passed by without much recognition. A few, however, brought images to his mind that almost stopped all of his pain altogether. Wholly green eyes, orange skin and red hair. Ginger hair, glasses, and a wheelchair. Comfort and familiarity in both.
All lies, Nightwing. Don't fall prey to a false sense of safety. Submit to my command.
That exhaustion crept in once again, providing more relief from the pain, but seemingly even more deprivation of his memories and mental function.
"Dick! Come on stay with me!"
"Who are you...?"
"Shit. Dick, it's me. It's Jason. Come on! We met after I tried to take the wheels off of Batman's car!"
"No... that... that was Robin..."
The blue eyes in front of him were growing more frantic every second. Dick felt bad for the man, and wished he could help him.
"Yes, Dick. That's me. I was Robin after you. Remember? After you were Robin-"
"Jason was..."
"That's right! Me! I'm Jason."
"Jason didn't have white hair... Jason was Robin. Jason didn't dress like you either, and was much younger. Jason..." Dizziness and exhaustion were already overwhelming Dick's senses, but there was now a heavy feeling of anger and grief accompanying them, swirling in his mind and crushing his heart. "Jason is dead."
That's right. These people seek to deceive you. Submit.
"Shit shit shit... Yes, I died, but I came back! Please remember, please! Stay with me Dick. I swear to God if you make me have to explain this to everyone I will never forgive you. Shit! Where is Bruce with that surgeon?! Dick come on just stay with me, talk to me, tell me how you're feeling right now."
"Who's... Dick...?" There was too much going on. Too much ringing, too much pounding, too much light, too much yelling... it was all too much.
It would be so, so easy to just sleep. Anything to put a stop to the pandemonium and agony in his head. Anything to distract from the pain in his leg, or the rawness of his throat from screaming.
I can give you that relief. Submit.
Submit. That'd been said a few times... the pleading and distraught man he'd been talking to didn't seem to want him to go to sleep, but surely he must not know how much pain he's in. This other voice wanted him to rest, and wanted the pain to go away.
I don't know who either of these voices are... I don't know who Dick is... or Nightwing for that matter... I can't seem to remember where I am, or why I'm in pain. But I can't fill in the gaps when my mind and this room are spinning like this. Sleep will help. Sleep will help the pain, and I'll figure all of this out when I wake up.
Jason shook Dick violently by the collar of the straight-jacket when he watched Dick's eyes roll back into his skull, and a feeling of both terror and grief flooded his veins when the eyes of the man in his arms rolled back into focus in an expression that looked nothing like the brother that should have been there.

John hardly said a word on the plane ride home.
He barely said anything for the entire time leading up to the plane ride either.
There had been quite the process to get his brother out of there and Bruce heard so many different things he could barely keep track of them all.
They explained about different resources for Bruce's brother, the medications he needed to take, the exercises that he needed to do. They told him to make sure he got involved in a group and a hospital and he should probably continue some physical therapy. They tried to tell him a bit about the adjustment that this could be and a bit on what he could possibly expect. They explained a bit about John's history, although not much, most of the file he was given was kind of blacked out.
He had been a lot of places.
There were commendations too, although Bruce wasn't entirely sure what each of them were. John didn't look at the file and Bruce didn't ask.
He had a smaller bag and a large duffle and that was it. That was the whole of his possessions. Ten years and that was pretty much all he had. Bruce was told that if John didn't stay on base for trips and leaves home, he was staying with one of his squad mates or disappeared. He always came back when he was supposed to so no one seemed to care where he went.
Bruce thought he'd have to contact some of his squad mates at some point. It would probably be good for them. He hoped that some of them were still alive, at least. He saw a few pictures. There was a retired sergeant, Pete. Maybe Bruce could find him. Bruce wasn't sure how close John was to any of these people. There was a young man in his squad that barely looked older than Branch.
Bruce didn't know how to feel about that.
Bruce was warned that he might not talk much, although it would come in bouts. Pretty much everything was up in the air. They also told him that it was likely he was very, very happy to see Bruce. Every one of the nurses and attendants pretty much knew how much John loved his brothers. Apparently, he had pictures of them as children. It made Bruce feel worse. They tried to assure him that it was mostly chalked up to the shock of everything that had happened, the sudden changes - in both his life and mood swings - and depression in general. Everything had changed for him.
John mostly slept during the flight but seemed to awaken the moment they started their descent. Or at least, that was what John told him. "We are landing," he muttered under his hat.
"What?"
"We are starting to land," John repeated, taking the hat off of his eyes and placing it in the pocket of his jacket.
He wasn't wrong.
Brandy was waiting at the airport for them to take them home. John didn't seem to realize who she was until they were standing right in front of her. Probably Bruce's fault; he hadn't really told him or showed him what she looked like. They had barely talked at all and he didn't really know how to talk to him anymore. Bruce kept telling himself that the nurses and therapist warned him about that. That for a bit, he was going to be pretty quiet and he wasn't going to want to talk about personal things.
"Hello, hello!" Brandy greeted, giving her hand for a shake but then hesitating. "I'm Brandy! You're John, right?"
"Yes, ma'am," he nodded, shaking Bruce's wife's hand with a surprising ease despite his unsteady balance.
Brandy flushed and chuckled. She glanced at her husband, almost proudly. "You hear that, Bruce? He called me ma'am."
Bruce tried not to roll his eyes but let out an amused smile.
"I won't be any bother," John promised, making Bruce's expression fall a little. He was worried about that, for some reason, although Bruce wasn't entirely sure why. It was like John felt he had to make sure that he wouldn't be considered a nuisance or was worth keeping around. "And I can pull my weight... so to speak. You can put me to work and I can be a help."
Brandy glanced at Bruce, a little confused. "Well I'm sure... we can find somethin," she replied slowly. She always seemed to understand what Bruce was trying to get across. "It's good to meet you, John. I am very glad you are here. Let's get you settled at home, alright? I hope you don't mind a little mess. Our kids are... they can be rambunctious."
John shrugged lightly before following the couple towards the doors, Bruce insisting on taking his bag. "I don't mind at all. I have a surprising amount of experience with kids... not including the buncha boys in my platoon that could barely get up at a decent hour."
Brandy laughed. "Our boys can get up at an hour... well, it might not be considered decent. Perhaps pre-decent."
"I can probably fix that."
Bruce coughed. "What?"
Brandy just looked over at John curious and amused as they headed to the car. "Oh? Do tell!"

Parent/Caregiver- Alfred Pennyworth Son/Little-Bruce Wayne Good/supportive friends- Diana Prince & Clark Kent
Diana and Clark go visit Bruce at the manor because he hasn't shown up for a meeting. Will they find a Little Bruce or a Bruce that is in his batcave not wanting to take his cowl off?
originally Clark and Diana were here to speak with Bruce about a meeting he had missed. Just a couple of hours ago , usually the billionaire isn't late to important meetings . So here they both are in front of Wayne manor, slightly startled when it opened, revealing Alfred. Instead of saying anything the man let two in , telling them both he'll be right back, before disappearing into the kitchen once more.
"What was that?"
"What was what Clark?"
"I heard giggling? It's coming from Bruce's study."
" Do you think he has a child here?"
Instead of answering, Clark makes his way to said study with Diana behind him. He opens the door slightly and looks at the sight Infront of them. A giggly Bruce Wayne wearing a soft fuzzy duck onesie with matching socks and a orange pacifier in his mouth. The baby bat has this sleepy look in his eyes, as he plays with a stuffed turtle( "Mr. Jelly" the soft blue turtle stuffie.), and one of those baby sensory cubes. Bruce hasn't noticed them yet , although this wasn't really a secret, the league already knew behind the mask of batman was man that has a adorable soft side to him. But sometimes with how serious he is , the others forget he's a toddler or baby sometimes as a way to cope with things. They didn't know Alfred was behind until he spoke, actually startling both of them.
" he does look more at ease with himself like this , yes "
And as soon as Alfred spoke , the little one looks up at his papa smiling happily. Well smiling behind his paci, not really taking notice to the other two adults behind his father/caregiver. Alfred walks over to Bruce, kneeling slightly and takes the pacifier only to replace it with a see through blue sippy cup of angel milk. Slipping the pacifier in his pocket to get cleaned. Later.
" Tommy darling, it seems your friends miss Diana and mister Clark have came to visit you. Won't you say hi?"
Bruce makes a noise of confusion before moving his head looking pasted his papa to his friends. His baby blues widen with excitement, making little happy toddler noises. Diana smiles her regressor friend and slowly walks over and kneels down to be at his sitting height. The little cold behind his sippy crawling over to the amazon woman, said woman gives Bruce a hug. Clark would have given him a hug first but he wanted Diana to have her moment with thier best friend first, you know Clark being nice and respectful and all.
" Oh little warrior you give the best hugs did you know that? Absolute best! "
"Indeed he does , however his specialty is being a cuddle bug "
"Really? I didn't think Bruce would be the type for cuddles "
" Oh adult Bruce isn't but baby Bruce is , he'll give cuddles anytime he feels like it or just be a cuddle bug because he simply wants to uddles you , mister Clark. Oh wait would either of you like something to drink? Coffee, tea?"
" Clark is just fine Alfred. And tea is fine , thank you. Bruce is definitely a different person when little "
" Oh nothing for me but thank you Alfred "
" Of course "

What's up people! It's ya boy, your favorite GL ever ;)
I reside in Coast City, so if you are either on a vacation there or live there you will see me hanging around doing my hero work! And don't be afraid to say hi, just take notice that sometimes i won't be able to hear you well over the wind!
{¡This is an RP account!}
This account will sometimes contain PG-13, minors can interact just not with those posts! It probably won't contain suggestive themes(if it does, then it's a repost from someone's elses rp account that i reposted) but it will contain curse words! So if you're uncomfortable with that, just pass by them pls. I will make sure to mark them as such so you won't have to worry.
But anyways, simple rules that i have:
OC's interactions are okay! I don't mind you having an OC and using it to interact with me, Clones especially are fine! I wouldn't really mind having a kid to take care of lol.
You can interact with me using literally, any and i mean ANY DC character! Although i may have to google certain ones since i don't know all of them.
Want to interact with me using AU's or characters from other franchises too? Again, go wild!! I would love to talk to a Spiderman roleplayer! :D
"What about if i have certain headcanon about the character your roleplaying as?" You can! Do tell me about the headcanon first hand if possible, please so i can know how to act properly to your character.
+18 interactions with this character are accepted! PG-13 interactions are also okay, i don't mind those at all.
Now into the ships;
I am okay-ish with certain ships, some i prefer not to do (Hal x Kyle), but some i am okay with doing (Bruce x Hal)! You can send in a prompt to me on DM or on a ask about the ship interaction you wanna do and ill do it in case it's one of the ones i do. Or just send me a prompt on ask or DM about a RP you wish for me to do or participate! You can even mark my account on a complete random RP blog without asking me!
Again, if you're a minor do not interact with certain posts (PG-13), please!

The premiere of Gotham Knights was highly enjoyable as a tv show, plus being a batfamily fan I've got some tasty layers to unpack. This show clearly was crafted by people who have thought a lot about the batfamily characters and there are some really intriguing analogues, parallels, and echoes in the mix.
The gravitas centerpiece here really is Misha's portrayal of Harvey and he's showing what spn fans have known for years, how good Misha is at putting humanity on screen, opening himself up raw to it, and this time a character far more facile and fluid in his expressing of emotions (and knowing where this goes, far more volatile too). There's a genuine goodness and gentleness and sense of justice in Harvey that's going to make what's coming all that much more painful. Misha's showing both the compassion and the "hard charging" sense of command. I'm all tingly.
Another thought on Harvey and his roles: There's no Alfred in GK and there being no Jim Gordon either and the loss of both makes it a much darker AU to me. (And Cressida is not filling the hole no Alfred leaves). Who is bringing the notes that I would expect from Jim Gordon or from Alfred Pennyworth is Harvey Dent. Harvey, like Jim, one of the few decent people in a corrupt Gotham system, and a corrupted GCPD, who loves Bruce, and they worked together in their hopes for a better Gotham. Harvey's giving Turner emotional support, filling the Alfred role, Harvey's similar to Jim Gordon, a decent person trying to hold back the flood, and logistically Harvey might also wind up fulfilling the Jim Gordon role for the new batkids, a contact inside who can help them.
Carrie Kelley knows how to make an entrance. "He called me his little robin." She saved Batman, literally, Robins also save Bruce emotionally, so he's not doing this alone, and Carrie acted in that role too. They clearly were close, she is another adopted kid. I'm hoping we'll get to learn more about that relationship. How she became his eyes and ears. I LOVE HER. She is my favorite of the kids so far, although I think all the batkids are appealing. And like some other Robins, she vigilantes without becoming what Bruce became, without living in shadows. She doesn't seem eaten by the darkness. By whatever drives her to do this. Which may be why Bruce let her in and trained her. He needed the light by his side.
That line where Carrie tells Turner that Bruce said Turner was his hero caught at my heart. Bruce didn't want Turner to go down his path into the shadows. It seems this Bruce was scared of the darkness in himself. And maybe was scared of it taking over Turner because his parents were murdered, like Bruce's were. Turner has a little bit of echo for Dick Grayson--Dick uses the shadows, he doesn't live there like his adopted father does. Bruce shielded Turner to try to protect that light, similarly to how Bruce admired and was drawn to that aspect of Dick. There's a sad irony but also a hopeful note in the fact that despite Bruce's efforts, Turner won't be able to escape the bat legacy after all, however Turner is imo going to follow Dick's path. So even as he takes on the role of the vigilante, he's not going to let the darkness swallow him up the way Bruce feared it would if he brought Turner into the batcave. Why was Bruce so afraid of Turner letting the darkness eat him, maybe because Turner's background is so similar to his own. He projected onto Turner and feared Turner becoming exactly like him.
The pace and fight scenes moved along at a very good clip and I'm loving the gothic feel of it and the set decoration. The belfry is every bit as beautiful as I hoped.
Harper doing anything to protect her brother, and Cullen being very capable of taking care of himself and everyone else. I'm loving the Row siblings.
Duela is really really FUN. I expected to like her and I do. Also Harley Quinn exists in this world, presumably she's not dead like the Joker. No idea if Harley would ever get released to appear in GK but I am immensely intrigued by Duela's resentment of Harley while she's a bit like her. More hard-bitten, less idealistic. Even after she ditches Joker and chooses to be, well, more good than she was, if not exactly no longer villainous, Harley still has an idealism. Duela's outlook on the world is darker than Harley's.

If I could change something in DC would be to at least make an alternate reality were Steph is foil for Jason and Tim makes a parallel with Babs. These are the major changes because it would invove a lot of rewriting at parts.
Because the thing is. Based on the - honestly victim blaming - modern version of Robin Jason, Steph could be Bruce's sucess story. She is a bright hopefull girl in love with the idea of being a superhero but also a poor kid with a complicated and straight up abusive home life that gave her anger issues and complicated morals. She wants to help people and believes in justice but also sees murder as a possible solution and sees no problem in using excessive violence against does she belives deserve it. Defending a punitive way of justice, she is also very impulsive wich can put herself in danger often.
That means in my au verse I would write Bruce trying to convince Steph to get out and loudly disaproving her as he seing too much Jason in her and refusing to lose another kid. This is also the reason he is soo adamant in cutting connections and tells Tim he should keep his identity a secret (because yeah Tim didn't just dated Steph as Robin without being honest because he decided it, Bruce's anxiety decided it and starstruck kid went for it). But no matter what he does Stephanie keeps trying.
So when Tim's dad forces him to retire it is never implied Bruce chooses Steph as Tim's sucessor for petty reasons or to convince Tim to came back. He wants Tim back but he wants Tim to came back on his own terms and after figuring out his issues and he keeps contact with Tim the best he can because he is an adult and he takes the mature route. Instead he chooses Steph because after Tim he knows he can't go without a Robin and if she didn't stop at this point she won't and is better to guide her than to let she keep endangering herself. He still sees her as provisory Robin but also as a possible permanent member of his team.
Steph's reasons to accept also change. At this point Tim had broke things up with her because he was trying to cut his connections with his previous hero life and that meant she didn't took the mantle for petty jealousy but because she wanted the training and equipament Batman could take. She might not understand it perfectly and see it as a dream or as magic (just like baby Jason) but she also takes her hero work seriously and wants to be better.
A lot of their early relationship involves Bruce realizing that Steph isn't Tim and noticing how similar she is to Jason only to slowly notice that this isn't totaly the case either. Steph has a lot in common with Jason but she isn't Jason at all and unless he starts treating her like Steph things won't work out. And things start working. Bruce has to revisit and understand deeply his morals so he can actually truly guide Stephanie into understanding why he doesn't kill and deciding to be like him and to see redemption as possible. Steph run as Robin would be bigger and in the end would be Steph's family failing apart with her mom overdosing and her own feelings of inadequacy that get her. And just like Jason Bruce does one critical mistake. He wants to assure Stephanie that her and Tim (if he ever cames back) are part of his team now but ends up only passing the idea that he still sees her as provisory Robin so like Jason they fight and she does something impulsive (although I would make so it isn't Steph that caused the events of No Man's Land and change a bit how they got there) and trying to destroy Black Mask on her own. She fails. But this time Bruce actually can save her. This time he was able to save his kid, explain himself and change her views on murder. And if Tim healed Batman after Jason is Steph that heals Bruce and this does change his dinamic with Jason during Under the Red Hood with Buce really trying to correct his mistakes but also not as lost on trauma allowing him to see things clearer and Jason seing both Tim AND Steph as replacements. With Tim being replacement Robin and Steph being replacement Jason. And that goes to my biggest change that makes this an AU and not a thing I would ever do on a main line: Bruce adopts Steph and Tim is the kid that's basically Bruce's child but also has his own slowly improving home life and isn't really a Wayne. He goes back to being Robin with Steph as Spoiler and he and Bruce still have a close relationship but his dad never dies and instead the hinted and thorwed alway rebuilding of Tim's relationship with his bio dad with the help of his stepmom (and on this reality Bruce) keeps going.
Now Tim is a parellel and a bit of a foil to Barbara. He is the kid with a lot of potencial specially mentally that choose to be a hero and has a family to come back to even if is complicated. Tim has to make his dad understand not only why he became Robin but why helping people is important to him - because while yes he sometimes goes really unhinged, almost villanous and if he ever becames a villan it will be terrible, Tim is also really heroic, the reason he became Robin, the reason he realized Batman needed one was because Batman was being too violent on criminals! Tim started by thinking that criminals, at least small time criminals and goons deserved more and of course of being afraid of a possible escalation and his first instinct was to try to make Dick be Robin. He didn't even consider himself until Dick implied the possibility and he realized that it was the only way to fix things. Tim is compasionated, he likes and wants to help people and he doesn't have a punitive view on crime, he has a bit of a black and white view on the rogues early on but he still believes in redemption, this is a tangent but it's because I need to say that because while I have nothing against villain Tim, I hate this wave of Tim is evil actually and he is only pretending to be a hero but he will show his true colors - why he can't just stop. But also learn with his dad to see it as more than his responsability of helping Bruce and consider his own life and choices instead of just following orders/risking it all. Basically slowly Jack (and Dana and Bruce) help Tim in his work-life balance.
But also he has other more interesting parallels with Barbara because I think they are very complementary. Tim being soo marked for his indecisiviness that on the Robin 100 special both short tales they choose to put about Tim is about how he has all this talent, all this endless possibility of being whatever he wants both as a hero and academically and he has no idea what this is. Tim cannonically picked all extra curriculars because he didn't knew how to choose than stoped doing all of them because he preffered just being Robin. His plans for the future are wait and find out. He follows Batman soo blindly at the start both because he needed more positive adult interactions and Bruce's praise and atention was it (Tim is the one with the biggest hero workship and Barbara was like that at his age as well) but also because it means he doesn't have to choose. A big contrast with Barbara who is super decided and knows exactally who she wants to be at all times (the uncertainty of the early days was a hit she really had when learning to accept her disability). And it shows because while they are both good detectives and master strategists Tim works with quick thought and a huge room for adaptability while Barbara thinks a lot and is adaptable because like Bruce she considers ever possible scenario. And we got to Tim is impulsive. He does think a lot over what he wants but if he wants to do something he might take a lot to actually do it but he impulsivally decided it and will now follow it after he convinces himself this is the best plan. Tim is the most stuborn motherfucker. And this is great when he is right (like Bruce not being dead) but it really sucks when he is wrong (like his destrust of Catwoman in Hush or he quitting because his dad asked). And I think actually making so Tim has to figure things with Jack and convince him about being Robin instead of just becaming an orphan reworking his whole life prefencially with Barbara's help so we can work it would help he grow so much and stop being the Robin the authors don't know what to do with.
Besides that I would explore more Duke's relationship with Bruce because I think it has soo much interesting bits and underutilized potential and would write a comic with Cass and Helena working together because I think it would be fascinating (and maybe also one about Harper and Harley as while I not the biggest fan of batfam Harley I do think that the fact both of them have an common enemy in Punchline interesting and also Kate and Montoya as Batgirl and Questiin having a team up... it's weird they don't team up, not because they are the two major lesbian characthers but because they are the two characthers with a past in law enforcement- military and police- who got disilusioned by realizing what this forces were all about and how it repressed people like them and other minorities and they should bond over it), also more Dick and Damian we do have a lot of this two brotherly bond, similaridades and differences but I just love them.

Day 2 of Tekken 8 Demo
I just played the Tekken 8 demo again, this time mostly playing as Kazuya (as well as Jin and Nina for a bit). Kazuya has some special intros/interactions with Jun and Shaheen (Jun's determination to save Kazuya from his darkness and trauma; Shaheen wanting to avenge his friend like "you took everything from me" and kaz just looks at him like "i don't even know who tf you are"))...but why doesn't he have any special intros/outros/win poses with Nina, Asuka, Azucena, or Paul?!
>Azucena is pretty much probably his only ally (because Anna, Bruce, and Lucky Chloe are not in this game). Although Eddy Gordo was also cut from this game too, I guess Shaheen may as well be his replacement in a way (damn do e-sports players hate Eddy for losing to spam and cheese in player matches/ranked matches that much to the point where he got that joke ending in Tekken 7 and now he won't even be in Tekken 8?!).
>Paul was his OG rival back in the day before of course he keeps getting defeated by fucking Kuma (the blondie cocky extroverted rival who wants to be the best, you know like Sasuke vs Naruto or Ryu vs Ken).
>Coming to think of it, Jin Kazama also does NOT even have any special intros or win quotes with either Asuka or Nina. Like I was thinking Jin would be sad or angry about being betrayed again by someone (first Heihachi in Tekken 3, now Nina in Tekken 8...also Jin saved Nina from being brainwashed by Ogre in Tekken 3 and worked alongside him in Tekken 6, so her betrayal should sting). Also maybe Nina is perhaps actually just simply doing something similar to her role in Street Fighter X Tekken, maybe she's just secretly spying for Jin (and a special intro between her and Kaz would hint at this).
>Also once again Asuka being shafted and pushed to the side, like seriously no special intro for her with Jin or Kazuya?! It's disappointing because in her character episode with Lili, Lili mentions her being related to Jin and by extension the Mishima bloodline so she's worried that her friend (*cough* *cough* girlfriend) might get dragged into the whole Mishima conflict. So I was thinking okay surely Bandai Namco is building up to her finally being relevant in the next game right? I always had this theory in my mind that maybe perhaps why Asuka Kazama is treated like some comic relief side character ever since Tekken 6 is possibly all the backlash and hate she got from both Japanese and western Tekken fans for replacing Jun Kazama when she was introduced in Tekken 5. Same reason why Hinata Hyuga from Naruto gets so much love and favoritism from Studio Pierrot and the Naruto fandom (especially Japanese fans) over Sakura Haruno, and why Rosalina gets more attention than Daisy in the Mario Franchise lately (especially when Rosalina got into Super Smash Bros before her and Rosalina was also in Mario Strikers: Battle League at launch but not Daisy). Maybe it's because some fans strongly prefer the more feminine and introverted female characters over the confident tomboyish brash female characters. Of course these sentences are NOT meant to blame or slander Jun, Rosalina, or Hinata because I like all three of them as characters. It's just some coincidence I noticed.
>Although I do actually really like Steve's whole interaction with his mom Nina. Steve doesn't want to hurt his mom and even says that she is the last person he wants to fight, and Nina telling him to get out of here in her outro. I always thought Nina was cold to her son for similar reasons why Jin wants to live a solitary life, out of pure fear that Steve might get dragged into the either the Mishima conflict or her rivalry with Anna (ex. Anna Williams might kidnap him or something), she's just simply trying to protect her son in a way.
Anyways that's just my silly thoughts for now.
