What's this AU about?

Q&A:

What is the Successor AU? -An alternate universe where Mei and Mk were born in the same era that Redson was. -Macaque raised Mei, Wukong raised Mk, and Nezha raised Redson. -Story has shadowpeach implications in it. Don't like? Don't read.

What are the changes to this universe? -Shapeshifting and glamour don't exist. Hence why Macaque can't hide his eye or his ears. -Macaque was on the Journey to the West with Wukong -Wukong never killed Macaque in this AU -And other changes, but for the most part, it's the same.

When and Where does it take place? -The story takes place around 95 years after the journey to the west ended. So it takes place in like ancient times. -Takes place in China (supposedly, I mean, I'm assuming the JTTW took place in China.)

Why did Macaque, Wukong, and Nezha raise those three? -I can't answer for Macaque and Mei cuz that's a spoiler. -Nuwa created and gave Mk's stone egg to Wukong as a sort of challenge to see if he could raise a child. (There's more detail to it but that'd be a spoiler.) -Nezha is the god of children, so he took it upon himself to take responsibility for Redson after Princess Iron Fan was put in jail. He calls himself Redson's "older brother."

What's the story summary? -Basically, I just wanted to create a possessive Wukong AU. Most of the story is basically a game of hide and seek. Where, over the years, Wukong tries to find Macaque but keeps just missing him. Redson finds Mk stuck on Flower Fruit Mountain and they bond over time. Mei eventually finds Redson and Mk while she was on her own journey. Read the story to find out what happens!

It would take over a day by train but Mickey didn't like to fly. He followed the hallway and found the private room he reserved, only to find it already occupied.

"Who the fuck are you?"

The red-head smiled, unexpectedly, "Ian Gallagher...and you are?"

"I'm the guy who booked this room?"

"Well, technically its called a roomette and I think you'll find its mine".

He moved closer, too close, showing Mickey a booking on his phone, confirmation of a mix-up.

"The fuck do we do now?"

Another easy smile, "well, I don't mind sharing if you don't?"

Surprisingly, he didn't.

PhD Day 38 (yesterday): this time for real, I finished doing all the changes my supervisor suggested so I have finally fully submitted my grant proposal!

Okay-

Here’s my thing about baby Astyanax adoption,

I feel like he wouldn’t get revenge.

If they told him young, he wouldn’t understand the seriousness. And as he grows older, they can teach him how to handle his emotions, anger, confusion and conflicting feelings better and not irrationally, so I don’t think he’d murder.

If they told him when he was older and an adult and explained themselves, I feel like he would understand the seriousness of it, but could understand and respect the decision. Especially if he grows old enough to have a child himself, I feel like he could sympathize with them.

If they explained it to him when he was a teen, I feel he would’ve been conflicted, but not mad enough to murder. And if they explained themselves, sure he wouldn’t be happy, but also, not murder. That’s when he’d probably run away, be more rebellious, talk back and definitely use the “you’re not my real dad” line a lot, but I don’t think he would be able to get himself to murder. 

The thought would definitely cross his mind. I think he’d argue with himself to do something and get revenge for his real parents, but emotionally, Hector and Andromache are strangers to him.

The thing is, Astyanax wouldn’t know who Hector or Andromache are, he would only be able to understand who they are and what they should mean to him, but there wouldn’t be any actual connection.

These strangers who are his parents were killed by the person he’s actually formed a bond with and sees as an actual father figure.

Also Odysseus killed them, not just for fun, but for a reason and he even defied the gods wishes to kill him for him.

more from the reincarnated band au in the form of: sometimes you're just a girl who wants to have a nice lunch date w your partner, but then her incredibly rude coworker stalks in (bc he stalks everywhere) and then you realise you've miscalculated bc the shop is one block away from the gym and his appearance makes sense, he does leave the gym at this hour (you're annoyed that you know ouyang's routine). Some random jockman is trailing after him and ouyang appears as pleased as he is desperate to evade him, and they both sit down with you and you end up eating your noodles next to some sweaty guy you just met, while zhu and ouyang bicker gleefully at each other about music.
