But I’ll do you one better by telling you what Rope MF’s attacks would be if he was your ally in a hypothetical RPG that he was first made for!

Context:

So, basically, the concept of this turn-based RPG is that everyone was captured except Bandana Dee because the villain didn’t see him as a threat. With the help of other waddle dees, Bandana Dee is able to save the day, and also Kracko and Whispy Woods are there to help, because why not.

ROPE MF!!!!:

Rope MF is the first character to join Bandana Dee’s party (besides Whispy Woods and Kracko).

Bandana Dee meets up with Rope MF after Bandana Dee gets lost in the forest and is being chased down by an enemy (he doesn’t have his spear during this time).

Rope MF saves him by dangling his rope down from a tree and allows Bandana Dee to climb it.

Rope MF Move Set (or possible moves he can learn):

Rope whip:

A basic attack where Rope MF hits an enemy.

Tied Up:

A trap attack where Rope MF uses his rope to tie up an enemy, immobilizing them.

This would be a quick-time event and depending on how well the player does, the trap will become stronger.

LEARNING THE ROPES:

Rope MF will yap about ropes, making all the enemies more likely to attack him.

Downside, his party will too, unless they have earmuffs equipped on their heads.

ROPE SWING:

Rope MF will swing from his rope, attacking multiple enemies at once.

I LOVE ROPES!!!:

Basically, the “LEARNING THE ROPES” move but is more effective.

ROPED IN:

Rope MF grabs the enemy with his rope and can follow up with one of the two moves:

ROPE SLAM:

Rope MF slams the enemy into the ground. This stuns the enemy.

or

SOUTHPAW:

Rope MF pulls the enemy in and punches them. This sends the enemy back to their old location.

TIED UP IN A BOW:

This is Rope MF's special move with the same premise as “TIED UP”.

If the player passes the quick time event with a high score, Rope MF will tie up all the enemies into a strong knot and makes them a single target to hit, including the boss.

If the player passes with an okay score, Rope MF will tie up a good portion of the enemies, but individually, and the trap’s strength will vary based on the score.

If the player fails, Rope MF will get distracted looking at the rope they’re holding.

AND PROBABLY MORE MOVES THAT I CAN’T THINK OF RIGHT NOW!!!

Rope MF’s Ability:

ROPE RAGE:

Every time an enemy breaks free from Rope MF’s rope, Rope MF will get enraged, and his attack will increase.

The more ropes broken, the stronger he’ll get.

The Rope MF’s game meta:

Rope MF is a very versatile character, and depending on his moves, can be used as a heavy hitter, or a stall/tank. 

Rope MF also starts weak but, with enough love, can be one of the most useful characters in the game (Think of Terry from Lisa or Magikarp from Pokémon)

If I knew how to do game balance or strategy, which I don’t, here’s some sets I use

A Rope MF move set with:

LEARNING THE ROPES

I LOVE ROPES

TIED UP IN A BOW

Or variants of those moves with armor and Item-Shop Waddle Dee in your party

Rope MF can be a good tank or stall for stronger hitting waddle dees with charge attacks like Weapon-Shop Waddle Dee to shine.

A Rope MF move set with:

TIED UP WITH A BOW

ROPED IN

ROPE SWING

Or variants of those moves with an attack boost item and Item-Shop Waddle Dee in your party

Rope MF can be a good attacker, especially with his ability ‘ROPE RAGE’

Rope MF is a versatile character because ropes are versatile

I just wanted to say I appreciate your sentiment but I strongly do not agree that body hair are a "flaws",

obviously you know I'm gonna say: "you shouldn't be ashamed of your own body no matter what" and don't compare it to what you see online, even to my art because even if I draw more "natural" bodies I still strongly idealize body proportion and feature to adhere to my erotica fantasy...

also I mostly draw what my body hair looks like, (I do not have chest hair though I wish lol) but I also think all different type of body hair are hot...

Hello - I was impressed and extremely relieved by what you wrote in the post about the cult mentality of the Left RE Israel and accusations of genocide. You mentioned that you bought into the mindset until recently. If it's all right for me to ask, what was it that helped you break out of it? thank you!! and no worries about asking— i think i put something in my pinned post about how people are welcome to send asks about this stuff, although my story isn’t super interesting. i fell down the typical online rabbithole, a couple weeks after october 7; i knew what had happened, at least vaguely, but the posts trickling onto my dash were all about the (undeniably tragic) loss of life in gaza, with little to no acknowledgment of the hamas atrocities that had started the war, so my narrative was pretty one-sided from the beginning. it just continued to snowball as the months went on and people became more radicalized, calling into question the reality of the 10/7 attacks and the humanity of all israelis. i never went all the way down the pipeline to full-on endorsing hamas or justifying their attacks, at least on a personal level, thank god, but i would reblog other people’s posts referring to hamas as a “resistance movement” and calls to boycott starbucks and mcdonald’s and condemnation of the “zionist media” etc etc etc. what pulled me out of it wasn’t any one thing— if someone had directly called me on my flawed logic and antisemitic biases while i was in this mindset, i doubt it would have done much, just reinforced my belief that i was on the “right side of history” and zionists were aggressors who couldn’t be reasoned with. it was mostly just passive observance and a slow exposure to other perspectives. i’m pretty sure the first post that led me to question my thinking was an ask on jewish-vents, which popped up on my dash in like, late july. this led me down another rabbithole, first scouring every single post on jewish-vents, then moving on to more popular jewish blogs that i had seen on “zionist blocklists” (applesauce42069, xclowniex, and spacelazarwolf were probably some of the blogs that influenced me the most, though i told myself i was just hate-scrolling at first, lol). i felt incredibly guilty seeing all the harm the movement i was a part of had caused to random jews and israelis just trying to live their lives and i realized how it went against everything i believed about how minority groups should be treated. from there, the aspect of actually undoing my thinking and changing my behavior for the better still took several weeks. denial of jewish indigenity to the levant in the face of tantamount archeological and cultural evidence was the first to go, as well as any ambiguity in my feelings about hamas. after that, it’s mostly been a slow process of redefining the idf’s actions from a “genocide” to a “war.” i still believe that what’s happening in gaza is unconscionable and horrific, and that too many innocent civilians have died, but i also understand how difficult it is to fight against a terrorist group that systematically embeds itself in civilian populations, and that the ratio of militant to civilian deaths is incredibly low compared to most urban warfare. i quietly deleted my old blog in early august— if i had directly engaged in harassment against jews, i likely would have kept it to make amends to the harmed parties and put a face to my actions, but as was, i had just contributed to the larger atmosphere of antisemitism on this site, and i felt uncomfortable knowing that i had a blog full of sentiments that no longer matched my values and beliefs. i decided i would be better if i took my endorsement out of the equation entirely, because when you’re looking through the notes of a post, it obviously doesn’t matter if someone who’s reblogged it no longer agrees with what was said— their notes still count as tacit approval, and i did not want approval of this “activism” attached to my online presence. i still have unwanted kneejerk reactions that crop up sometimes, particularly around the fundraiser posts from people “in gaza”; even though i know logically that they have all the markers of scams, there is still a part of me that really wants to believe i could help.

GGGOD I WISH I WASN’T OUT OF THE HOUSE RIGHT NOW. but i’ve been thinking about colors literally all day so you all get to be subject to my madness! sorry this is long and rambly wauaua. nightmarishly long post under the cut.

okay. first things first, a few basics. color theory and color psychology tend to get confused a lot in discussions, but they usually refer to different things. color theory is more about we physically perceive colors (color wheels and color schemes the like), while color psychology focuses on our emotional response to colors. if you’re familiar with the children’s hospital color theory post, that poster wasn’t actually talking about color theory, but color psychology (and also it’s incredibly surface level and heavily misunderstands the subject because in what fucking universe does the quantity of positive associations with a color matter more than the context it’s used in and sorry i have personal beef with this tumblr post).

color theory is also a special interest of mine but i’m not gonna touch on it too much here because it’s not entirely important. mmmaybe another time…

essentially, certain colors (and color combinations) have associations in our brains and that affect our behavior and emotions. these associations are also very much affected by the context a color is used in. colors don’t exist in a vacuum! so while red can symbolize passion and love when used in something like a dress or a bouquet of flowers, it has a very different connotation when it’s, say, splattered on the walls or smeared on the ground in a snail trail.

or for a less Children’s Hospital Themed example, i’ll put my euphrasie and king designs here!

(of course the saturation and brightness of these blues play a massive part in how they’re perceived but this is not a post about color theory this is n)

and, of course, combining colors in a piece can also change their meanings!! i’m about to get real fucking normal.

i’m gonna be focusing on the color combo of red and yellow here because it’s the one that’s most relevant to my art (and also it’s really interesting.) basically, seeing these two colors together activates the part of our brain that controls our appetite, making us actually feel hungry. this is why so many food companies use red and yellow in their branding! it’s neat stuff!!

also, if you’re familiar with it, this is why the mv for butcher vanity uses this color palette!! along with red’s general associations with danger and blood, the color combo also physically induces hunger. pretty fitting for a song about cannibalism!

(there is also red’s association with lust and passion and how that intersects with the double meaning in the lyrics but i cannot derail this post into being an analysis of butcher vanity i’m sorry. we’d be here all week. maybe another day... wipes a tear from my eye)

and i think this might be the reason why some people feel hungry when they see my art, even when i’m not drawing food. while i don’t tend to use red outright, most of my art has very warm undertones (red-oranges and yellows especially), which could be activating that hunger response??

(ah fuck color theory managed to weasel its way into this post again)

admittedly this part is just speculation on my end. i think my rendering style and Shapes also play a role in it, but it’s interesting for me to think about!!

this is only scratching the surface of how complicated colors can get. i was going to go on an entire tangent about color grading and how green lighting can make a scene feel unnerving but this post is already Too Fucking Long. aaaa super sorry if this is Rambly or hard to understand!! i’m not Entirely sure how much the average person knows about color theory and psychology so if there’s any confusing terms here i’m fine with adding stuff for clarity!

tl;dr colors have a bunch of different emotions and meanings tied to them, but you’ve gotta pay attention to the context in which it’s being used. so maybe take a step back before you put that thick red trail on the floor of your children’s hospital.
