A/N: Accidentally created the softest possible Valentino in this one, and I'm not sorry. Also, I headcanon Velvette as a kid/middle regressor! Anyways! This is for the final prompt in @nottapossum / @nottamoxxie's Agere-tober list: costumes! The title for this one comes from And Sew by Jessica Law!

Velvette pushes her sewing machine off the table. It collides with the floor in a satisfyingly-loud crash, very fitting for the kind of mood she's in. The one time she tries making clothing by hand, and it's hard. Her whole career in Hell is built off fashion at this point, yet she can't seem to sew one outfit herself. Amid her intense frustration, she feels a pang of grief cut through her, carrying memories from a literal lifetime ago. Mum always made it look so easy…

“Vel, you okay in here?” Vox pokes his head through the door, eyeing her with concern.

“Does it sound like everything is all right?” she snaps.

Vox walks up behind her, gently placing a hand on her shoulder. She has half a mind to yank it off, but he begins rubbing little circles against her back, and it's actually pretty calming. He's been through enough of her tantrums by now that she supposes he must be able to handle things right every once in a while.

“What are you working on anyways? Or… what were you working on, I guess.”

“I'm trying to make Halloween costumes. It's… not going well.” She gestures at the mess of broken sewing machine parts on the floor.

“Why don't you just snap them into existence like all your other clothing lines?”

“I wanted to make them myself! Like my mum used to when I was a kid. Anyways, it's not for one of my shows. They're just for us.”

Vox gives her a rather fond look, an affectionate smile scrolling onto his screen. “I have an idea; why don't you ask your papi to help out. He’s pretty good with a needle and thread.”

“He is? I don't think I’ve ever seen him try.”

“Maybe if you weren't always on that damn phone—” Vox cuts himself off with a laugh, and he has Velvette laughing, too. Sometimes, Vox's dumb humor isn't that much of a bother, actually.

A/N: This fic is for @nottapossum / @nottamoxxie's Ageretober Week 1: Tea! The title is from Little Bird by Ed Sheeran! Also, Sonata is my OC, you can find her lore post here (it'll probably explain why she's his cg here)!

Something is off. Sonata can tell from the moment she appears in Alastor's chambers. For one, his “breakfast” — as he so calls the carcasses she believes are unfit even for demon consumption — lay still on his table, mostly untouched. Alastor himself is still in his pajamas — another unusual occurrence for him by this hour — seated with his head resting atop his arms on the table.

“Sonata, dear, please dispose of my food, will you?” Alastor's voice sounds rather weak. “I'd do it myself, but I think it best I not do too much else today.”

“Sire, are you quite all right? You sound as if you may be taking ill.”

“I'll be fine. Do tell everyone not to disturb me today when you head out, though.”

Rather than take his plate as requested, Sonata quickly moves to Alastor's side, gently pulling him up from his chair. “Let me get you to bed first. You most certainly should not be caring for yourself today. Not that you have much of a reputation for taking good care of yourself to begin with.”
