Something I Just Noticed

I’ve been rewatching Murder Drones in anticipation of Glitch releasing more info about episode 7. It wasn’t until my most recent rewatch of Cabin Fever that I noticed Lizzie stealing the wrist watch and wallet off of the corpse of the first student V killed in the episode before throwing the watch to V. I’m sure other people have already noticed this and someone else has probably already pointed this out, but I just thought I’d share this neat detail.

maybe N will see Doll here? since it seems this is the same location on this screenshot also It also looks like the test subjects' lockers are in the shaft. so it’s possible that N and Uzi found Nori’s locker and some evidence here

Lizzy and Thad?? FOR REAL Thad fans can rejoice, we'll see Thad again! :D but Liam lied that he was safe. actions take place outdoors, snow, lanterns, cars, flying tires and other objects due to lack of gravity

it reminded me of how everything soared in GF, and since MD will also have this, it will be EPIC

also wanted to talk about this shot. saw some people say that someone is being sacrificed here, but my first thought was this: this is the drone that had the most Solver powers (probably Nori) and because they' are're dangerous and so strong, they're restrained with chains. and oil flies around them.. dunno exactly why, but it really reminds me of how in the "Stranger Things" Eleven would bleed when she used her powers, maybe something similar is present here?

and yes, it looks like a godammit cult-

ok, this looks terrifying. I can't tell if N will just go into hunting mode for some reason (because of Cyn/Solver?) or if this is a flashback to him possibly killing Nori (since it's similar to the flashback to V killing Doll's parents. everything was red there too, V had a cross on her visor and grin)

is this a video recording of someone using a cross? at first i saw it was someone wearing gloves, so I thought it was Nori or Yeva's hands, but now I'm not sure, so it could be Uzi or Doll

okay now THIS i'm not sure that it's Sentinel's paw

The front paws of the Sentinels have a palm-like base like a drone's with little triangle, with long thin claws. The hind paws are also long and thin. the paw on the left is thicker and has thicker claws. also I have a feeling that there is a torn glove on this paw?.. but what confuses me most is that this paw burn, smoke and glitches were coming from it, just like in this scene with Uzi’s hand from episode 4. I don't think the Sentinals burn in the sun?..

also that paw from the teaser reminds me of the paws on Uzi's wings, so could it be Nori's hand (we don't know how much Solver can change a drone's body, since drones can grow organic wings with it, maybe parts of their bodies can transform?) or Nori's wing?

at first I thought that Doll was fighting with Uzi, since their screenshots were in a row. but it seems Doll has cleavers in her hands and someone is fighting with her with a sword? I don't think Uzi woud use a sword, so maybe it was Tessa. or this is the blade of one of the dissasembly drone. there is also fire behind her, something is burning

Summary: you love kids, James loves watching you interact with them

Note: omg, this one is short.

You stood outside of the little girls room with James. His arms were folded as he watched her play with a stuffed animal. He sighed, “Her name is Lizzie…she’s in while we test on her. Problem is, she’s super nervous.”

Humming, you reached up and grabbed the top of his arm, squeezing it to grab his attention, “I don’t have patients for a little bit, let me see if I can distract her.”

“You sure?”

You grinned, “Of course, James.”

You pecked a quick kiss on his cheek, and then dashed out of the hallway to go to your office. James watched you go, and then walked into Lizzie’s room to see her.

James’s fondness of you was simply because of the ray of sunshine you typically were. You had been part of Princeton-Plainsboro for a few years, and during that time James watched you bond with the patients you were paired with. And when you became the Head of Pediatrics, that gave you even more time with patients since you could free your time.

Most parents and other doctors were fond of you as well, always smiling and wearing goofy earrings or shirts to help distract kids while you worked with them. Your office was like a sanctuary for young patients. Filled with toys, puzzles, and crafting things.

Crafting things that you were currently bringing back into Lizzie’s room, a proud smile on your face as you introduced yourself to Lizzie, and then her parents.

“I thought you were Dr. Wilson,” Lizzie’s father pointed toward James, who stared at him in disbelief for a few seconds before you nudged him in his side.

“Yes, yes I am. But this is my wife,” he gestured at you and you smiled, “I didn’t even realize she hadn’t used her maiden name.”

This was a fair call out on his end, as you typically went around with your maiden name to keep miscommunication and confusion out of the hospital, especially with patients.

“Yes well,” you dismissed your husband’s concerns and turned toward Lizzie with a playful grin, “I’ve got this big box of crafting things. Paper, glitter, stickers…funny scissors.”

Lizzie giggled and James smiled at the reaction, then turned toward her parents, “My team and I are going to go over a few more things. I will be back as soon as possible.”

Your attention didn’t pull away from Lizzie as she sat up and began going through the box. You watched with a smile, tilting your head as she pulled out a stack of paper, glue, and stickers. She turned and smiled at you, “Can we make crowns?”

“Of course!” You grinned, nodding and beginning to help her.

The two of you began cutting paper, you’d ask her the normal questions. If she had siblings or such, and she’d gladly answer. You weren’t sure how much time passed before your pager went off. You were barely halfway through decorating Lizzie’s crown, but pulled away to investigate.

It was Cuddy, likely wanting you in the clinic. You smiled toward Lizzie’s parents, “I’ve gotta run. I will leave all of this with you, Dr Wilson will make sure it gets brought back to my office.”

Lizzie’s mother smiled, “Thank you.”

“Of course,” you nodded and then left the room.

Cuddy needed a few quick diagnosis from you. She explained that she didn’t have the patience to fight with House for the day, and you understood. You gladly began moving around the clinic, trying to get as many of the younger patients as possible, but still helping everyone you could.

When everything calmed down, you went to your office to check for missed calls or notes from your team. You sat down at your desk, flipping through the papers and files on your desk and listening to voicemails. Everything was in order, and you made a few calls to help parents schedule appointments — then you got in touch with members of your team.

You hadn’t been paying much attention to the time when James came in. He didn’t bother knocking, which didn’t surprise you, and walked in with your craft box on his hip. He smiled at you, approaching your desk.

“Hi,” you said softly, looking up and allowing him to lean down to press a kiss to your lips, “What are we doing for supper?”

“Whatever you want,” he concluded, setting the box down while you looked at him in confusion.

“No House?” James chuckled, shaking his head. You looked down at the craft box, brows furrowing at the sight of what was on the surface. You lifted it up, “What’s this?”

“It’s from Lizzie, she insisted I give it to you,” James explained, smiling at the fond look you made at the sight of the glitter covered paper crown Lizzie had made, “She and her parents were quite fond of you. They were surprised that we don’t have kids.”

You raised a brow, “Interesting.”

He only shrugged, looking at the crown as you stood and placed it on the shelf behind your desk. The shelf was lined with books, toys, games, and everything in between. You moved the crown toward a higher shelf, one with all of your items that patients weren’t allowed to play with. Collectibles, sentimental things.

You turned back to James, walking around your desk and turning your lamp up, “Let’s go get supper.”

James stood, agreeing with you, “We’ll have to stop by my office quick.”

“Fine with me,” you smiled, leading the way out of your office as you grabbed your jacket and turned of the main light. You locked the door and waited for James to walk past you, pulling the door closed. James held his hand out for you, and you took it, gladly holding one another’s hands as you walked to his office and then left the hospital for the night, desperate to find where you would go for supper.

The Open Backpack | MD Oneshot

N/Uzi/V (Kinda, not quite established yet lol)

Putting this here bc it's silly and I'm playing with turning it into a comic at some point but I don't want to make a whole new thing for it on ao3 so hi!

Uzi kept a lot of things in her backpack. Many of these things would have had V teasing her in a heartbeat if she were ever to find out, and N just wouldn't get it unless she showed them to him. Which she was not doing. Nope, not even a little. 

But most of all, she couldn't let them know she was into magical girl anime. If anyone found out about it, her reputation as the emo girl would be ruined, she was sure of it.��

Though in hindsight, maybe she shouldn't have left the bag open in the middle of class. 

Lizzy found it first, reaching over to the open backpack and pulling out a very battered--very pink--volume of Mariner Satellite. "What's this?" she asked, her voice thick with disgust. 

"Mine!" Uzi screeched as she snatched it from Lizzy's hands. "Stay out of my frickin' stuff!" 

The teacher cleared his throat, leveling both of them with a very tired, very I'm so done look. Uzi shoved the manga back in her bag and huffed as she looked pointedly away from Lizzy, pulling her bag under her desk.  

Someone tapped her shoulder, and Uzi's heart skipped a beat when she saw N looking at her curiously from where he sat behind her. "What's that?" he asked quietly. 

A warning popped up on Uzi's interface that she was blushing, and she looked away quickly. "Nothing. Just a super cool ninja manga! Yeah!" 

"Ooh, neat!" N replied, and Uzi's stomach dropped as she realized her mistake. "Could you show me after class?" 

Uzi panicked and nodded. 

Uh oh... 

Maybe he'll forget about it, Uzi told herself as the clock ticked closer and closer to the end of class. Or I can escape before he realizes I'm gone! 

But he didn't, and she couldn't. There was a bottleneck as the last class of the day ended and all the other students clamored to leave. N was next to her immediately, ready to take her hand (gross, PDA...) and leave the room with her. "So what's that manga? Ninjas sound cool!" 

Uzi laughed nervously. "Uh... Yeah! They are!" 

"It's not about ninjas," said Lizzy with a smirk. "It's all about the sparkle." 

"Ooh!" N exclaimed. "Like the stuff V's been drawing?" 

Uzi gave him a bewildered look. "Drawing?" she asked. 

"Yeah! We've been using that manga drawing book. V's getting really good! She likes the magical girls and stuff, especially if they look like spies." 

"Huh... I never took V for a magical girl fan." 

"Uh huh, because you're oblivious." 

V stood in the doorway, an eyebrow arched at Uzi. "I don't talk about Mariner Satellite with you around because I know you'll be weird about it, but I know you've snuck into my locker." 

Uzi blushed guiltily. "I wasn't looking at the posters. I just wanted one of the arms you keep in there." 

N narrowed his eyes at V. "V, I thought we agreed no more killing--"

"I'm not, dummy," V interrupted. "I broke into Doll's stash. She had a crap-ton of drones stockpiled." 

"Oh! Right." 

"Anyway," Uzi said. "...I guess if V's already into it... You guys... maybe wanna watch the anime with me...? Sometime...?" 

N grinned. "Anime date!" 

"It's not a date!" Uzi and V looked at each other, startled that they'd both said it in sync. Uzi didn't miss the blush lines on V's visor before she turned away. "Whatever," V continued. "Remake or original?" 

"Original," Uzi replied. "The remake follows the manga better, but the vibes just aren't the same." 

V shrugged and walked back out through the door, looking over her shoulder. "Are you guys coming or what?" 

N grabbed Uzi's hand in his, offering her a smile while she tried to ignore the swarm of butterflies in her stomach as she left the classroom with him.

MD Examination

ep 7 ending spoiler kinda

I can't stop thinking about the fear J shows here seeing the gun that killed her in the pilot. Even if she is the clone, those memories are strong.

Blatantly saying [prior hazard] on her and her eyebrows instantly raising before upturning as she looks away slightly. Closing her mouth as well into a frown. Her entire body freezing, can you notice the way her body 'rise' as the symbol appears? It's her freezing up

My favorite little leader is scared and she's trying so hard to look angry and defensive to Lizzy and Thad....

Easy ways to fix parts of MD Ep8 without increasing the budget or adding minutes to the run-time.

Problem: How did N find UZI and know she was alive?

Solution: It would have cost nothing to add a little proximity map or something visible in the corner of N's visor in the scene where he finds Uzi in space, with a little line of text saying something like, “Admin Location VISIBLE/hidden”

Problem: How did N get past J to take her ship?

Solution: We could have gotten a 10 second scene showing a mocking J standing over a defeated Thad, Lizzy, and Khan. As she’s giving them an Ep1-style monologue talking about how easy it was we see N in the background scribble something onto a piece of paper, turn that piece of paper into a paper airplane, throw it at her, climb into her ship, and start it just as J turns around and realizes what’s happening. She then unfolds the paper airplane to find the IOU note.

Really just a short 5-10sec scene showing N taking the ship while J is distracted.

Problem: Where did the Solver and J come from?

Solution: Take one of the many screens visible inside the ship and add a flight path diagram showing what system the ship came from.

Problem: J's shallow character

Solution: Have a moment during the episode where N furiously asks her how she can willingly stand next to that thing after what it did to Tessa. Call her a coward and remind her that out of all of us, she cherished you the most. J doesn't need to say anything in response, but digital tears begin to streak down her visor as she's fighting to imply that deep down J knows they're right and hates herself for her inaction.

Problem: Nori conveniently falling from Space directly back to CFL.

Solution: 5 second scene where Nori teleports back to the surface of CFL like Doll could, panting as if it took an extreme effort and remarking how Yeva always made it look easy.

All of these would have been easy to implement without changing the plot and collectively extend the runtime of the episode by 15-20 seconds at most.

very I interested in your personality shift au! Could we get some more info on that?

hi, thank you ^__^ !!! it's still a huuuuge work in progress but i think the main idea is a bit confusing to people, so here's a rundown of the basics

first off, what the hell do we mean by "personality shift"? well... the characters' personalities are shifted around duh!! /hj okay but for realsies, that just means their personalities are changed. not everyone gets a starkly different personality (see V) and they don't necessarily swap personalities with other characters. it's mostly a ploy to give us creative freedom and a bit of wiggle room to write around certain plot points.

a point for reference is actually in the concept name of the AU, mean N AU. and if N is mean, we thought, what if everyone else was nice? so errr everyone who's nice in canon is a jerk in this AU, and the nicer you are, the meaner your counterpart is and vice versa. this is based on someone's intent, personality and how they interacted with others in MD

there are a lot of things that change in this AU to make it... Functional. for example, since J's nice to uzi and took N's role for the pilot, she's spared the fate of going holo-spooky snake crab next episode lol but since N's also an integral part of this AU, that made it so the 3 of the disassembly drones survive the pilot.

since thad's gonna be mean and uzi's main bully, lizzy's gonna be uzi's best friend ^_^ uzi herself is actually a little interesting to write since she retains some of her original personality, namely her snark and sarcasm, lack of instinctual self-preservation 💀 but also she's just super social and out there instead of being a loner and has made at least acquaintances with all her classmates
