Have I ever mentioned how much I love the NATM1 movie posters? I’m not sure why but the lighting, the warmth, all of the exhibits around it’s so 2000s. It’s so fun. It’s so visually appealing. Feels like childhood. Phenomenal.

#The second and third have a lot more blue on them; NATM2 especially #Which I do like actually #But these ones have a special place in my heart #Natm #I should get them framed in obnoxiously large posters and stick them on my wall #night at the museum #I always forget that when the first movie came out Rami Malek was not a particularly well known actor #In retrospect this makes promotional material hilarious #from the modern perspective it looks like they got an Oscar winning actor and then put his name 14th in the opening credits #That’s one of your biggest selling points and you don’t even know it #logistical reason another live action natm probably won’t happen is they can’t afford rami malek lmao #Everyday I mourn the NATM TV show we could have had #I mean it makes sense in the sense that so much of the cast is famous enough that it would be both pricey and logistically difficult #Most of the actors were primarily movie actors but I don’t think any of them are *strictly* movie actors #Rami Malek did a lot of tv acting in the 2000s Ben Stiller did a lot in the 90’s Owen Wilson’s done a fair amount so has Steve Coogan #So did Dan Stevens and Rebel Wilson I think #Fucking hell a tv show would have been so good #That cast is *not* cheap talent though lmao

The worst part of taking an opiate is having to eat something with it

#ive avoided taking them when i really should've because of that #such a hassle #anyway. if this doesnt fix me i will die #i actually need to get a regular prescription of muscle relaxers but i dont want to make the stupid appointment #especially because ill get some kind of whatever for not scheduling anything with PT last year #its mostly because i know what works best and we cant afford any kind of gym rn #i hate most isometric pt exercises and shit and can never maintain a schedule but when i adapted that to shit i liked doing??#eventually i was able to do crazy ass hikes every week #i miss that shit man #another reason i hated pt is because i gotta talk to some guy for like an hour multiple times a week #and i know thats not a good reason to not do it but theres nothing i hate more #even when I've liked them its been unbearable #i feel like such a shithead for making excuses to not do it #because honestly i dont have like. any *really* good reasons #like. i hate the exercises and socializing and transportation is a logistical nightmare? thats nothing #like no one is particularly jazzed about pt martin! it is a medical treatment!#i feel like i should suck it up and stop throwing a fit that i cant do pain management the way i want to #like. at least i have the option...

Daydreaming about being a billionaire, or even just a millionaire bc its crazy to me that i could buy literally every house currently for sale in my town for like 20 million (actually for about 10 million but I doubled it to account for renovations and property tax and stuff) and then I could just sell them all to people super cheap

one thing i was not at all prepared for about having to go without glasses for a week is how the navigating my environment itself isn't a huge barrier--i have to be really slow and careful and it's annoying, but it hasn't actually stopped me from doing things including in the 'god this is going to be a hassle, i don't even want to start' way--but the major loss/change in sensory input as well as Oh God the HUD is Wrong is apparently a huge depression trigger. replacements cannot happen soon enough

trying not to think about it but also i need to figure out what im gonna do with my hermit crabs and it's not like. urgent but at some point im gonna have to figure out how to change out their substrate and also there's a solid chance i'll have to rehome them someday :(

#(not rehoming them anytime soon but i wanna mentally prepare myself a little for when that day comes)#anyway re: substrate change. this is a 45gal tank filled with ~50lbs of sand etc. and i live in a 4th floor walkup #playsand comes in 25lb bags which i am not physically capable of carrying up 3 flights of stairs. my ex had to do it when we moved here #maybe i can like. hire someone to carry it up the stairs???#but then i have to figure out how to dispose of their current substrate which again. LOTS of sand.#i could probably board them at work for a week or so in a smaller tank while i do the changeout #idk man it's just like. a lot #i feel bad their tank is so fucked and it's like. i can't physically fix the problem!!!#and as far as rehoming like. idk if move out someday i really doubt im gonna wanna move the tank.#i guess it depends on what kinda living situation im going to #and eventually i'll have to move out. or my roommate will move out and i won't be able to afford the mortgage on my own #and still have to move out lol #anyway again none of this is happening soon i just need to accept the reality of the situation #and like am i really gonna go through the nightmare logistics of a substrate change only to rehome them soon after?#but on the same token. am i really gonna give someone a nasty-ass tank? lmao #so. idk. i gotta think on that one.#i just feel bad for them i mean they have a fairly good quality of life #especially considering what most hermit crabs suffer lmao #but. i wish i could do better for them #i could probably find someone to take them at least because of my job lol #the logistics will suck no matter what and also i love those little guys and i'm getting sad just thinking about it :(#but they're only gonna get bigger and i definitely can't upgrade their tank in my current living situation #so either way something has to give ya know?

I'm stuck at my works office, to be clear I don't work in an office but I'm here because they want me to absorb information from these training videos produced by corporate, so I can regurgitate the same nonsensical trash to real humans who are paying life and limb for our horribly managed services that I technically partake in providing.

None of this would matter to me if I was actually getting to learn or progress my technical knowledge. But the bureaucrats want a piece of paper, notarized by my direct boss and then notarized by their boss, that says I watched a video confirming I know what to do at work.

After work I'm gonna go to the weed store. I deserve it.
