Should Central Banks Accommodate Increases in Demand for Money?
Could an increase in the demand for money counteract the effect of an increase in the money supply? For example, if there were an increase in the supply of apples by ten and, simultaneously, an increase in the demand for ten apples, this would be completely absorbed. In other words, after individuals have satisfied their demand for ten apples, zero apples would be left. Following this logic, it…

How to Select the Best Standing Rack
When looking for a standing rack, there are a few things you'll want to keep in mind. First, consider what you'll be using the rack for. If you're simply looking for a way to store extra towels or linens, a basic rack will suffice. However, if you're looking for a rack to use for drying clothes, you'll want to make sure it's sturdy and has good ventilation.
Next, take a look at the size of the rack. You'll want to make sure it's large enough to accommodate the items you want to store or dry. It shouldn't, however, take up too much space in your home, so you should avoid buying one that's too large.
Tumblr media
Finally, consider the price. Folding racks can vary widely in price, so it's important to find one that fits within your budget. With a little bit of research, you should be able to find a great standing rack that meets all of your needs.
When it comes to choosing a standing rack, there are a few things you'll want to keep in mind to select the best one for your needs. Here are a few points to consider:
1. Capacity
How much weight will you be storing on the rack? Make sure to choose a rack that can accommodate your needs. You can consider both volumetric capacity as well as weight capacity. You can choose a three-shelf, four-shelf, five-shelf, etc. but it is suggested to choose a rack with at least three shelves.
2. Stability
A folding rack should be stable and sturdy. Avoid any that seem flimsy or unstable.
3. Ease of use
Ensure that the rack is easy to assemble and disassemble. You'll want something quick and easy to use.
4. Portability
A lightweight and easy-to-transport rack is ideal if you plan to move it around a lot. Some folding racks come with wheels which makes them easy to move from one place to another.
5. Price
Don't forget to compare prices to get the best deal and also don’t compromise on the best quality.
Keep these points in mind when shopping for a Standing Rack and you'll be sure to choose the best one for your needs.

A general tip for students who are sending those dreaded Religious Absence Emails to your professors: Rather than asking permission to take the day(s) off, politely let them know that you will be taking the day(s) off.
In other words, consider not saying this:
"May I miss class on [date] so I can observe [holiday]?"
It's not that there's anything wrong with the above, per se. But because it's phrased as a request, it risks coming across as optional — a favor you hope to be granted. Problem is, favors are not owed, and so unfortunately asking permission opens the door for the professor to respond "Thanks for asking. No, you may not. :)"
Instead, try something along the lines of:
"I will need to miss class on [date] because I will be observing [holiday]. I wanted to let you know of this conflict now, and to ask your assistance in making arrangements for making up whatever material I may miss as a result of this absence."
This is pretty formal language (naturally, you can and should tweak it to sound more like your voice). But the important piece is that, while still being respectful, it shifts the focus of the discussion so that the question becomes not "Is it okay for me to observe my religion?", but rather, "How can we best accommodate my observance?"
Because the first question should not be up for debate: freedom of religion is a right, not a favor. And the second question is the subject you need to discuss.
(Ideally, do this after you've looked up your school's policy on religious absences, so you know what you're working within and that religious discrimination is illegal. Just in case your professor forgot.)

percy doing better than annabeth in college is one my favorite developments in the rrverse. if we reflect on percy and annabeth's academic upbringing. annabeth living at camp allowed her to receive accommodations for her adhd and dyslexia and surround herself with like-minded campers who had the same limitations. whereas percy was ridiculed, belittled, and routinely humiliated because of his adhd and dyslexia. even more so, percy's friends and family leave him out of the loop on so many important issue (no chb orientation film, no information about the great prophecy) which perpetuates his subpar confidence and self-esteem in his skills as a student and a demigod. but going to college at NRU changes his mindset because he receives the accommodations he should have gotten years ago and fucking thrives to the point of getting higher grades than annabeth — a person he deems way smarter and more prepared than him in every way. the most important thing percy is learning now is that a supportive environment makes all the difference, and he is more capable than he initially thought.

I like vending AND attending cons, and anybody who does either of those knows the concentration of neurodivergence/disability at these things is off the CHARTS so the actual interaction can sometimes get Weird for a bunch of reasons. I saw someone doing a version of this a while back and thought it was a really smart way to ease that a little bit! The sunflower/wood panel aesthetic is theming for my particular table but anything easy to pick up and put down should work I think; the original booth called them Anxiety Wands or something but not everyone is anxious! So I adjusted the wording a bit to include most folks. The response so far has been really positive, please feel free to do it at your own booth because I would also like to have this option when I'm shopping lmfao

Being Accommodative
As kids we have been brought upto being independent and confident in making our own decisions, yet are expected to consult the family on any big decision.
All your life, you have been asked to build your own personality, be an individual - and yet when you bring forward an opinion to the table - this is most likely to be disregarded because it is not how things are to be done
While you are pushed to dream big - any steps you take on bringing it to reality is a joke to be laughed upon.
In retrospection, everyone believes that all the decisions they have taken or take is in the best interest of the next person - yet you are accused of being selfish or stubborn
The people closest to you sometimes fail to see you through, you are often misinterpreted because of that one incident who god knows why whatever happened happened so.
In introspection, what I understand to a fair degree is that its a clash of ego and nothing beyond. Everyone has opinions and in their perspective - it is the best version of looking at a situation.
Is there a way of getting out of this trap?
I'm afraid the answer is a no. More often than not, we fail to put up the best suite ever known to us - agreement in silence.
While all of us take decisions which seems best to us - in reality, you are simply trying to fill the ego, either of yourself or of the people around you.
If you are known not to be accommodative or being a "young rebel" - hang in there, for you need not prove the world that your choices are simply for the best.
Hang in there, because your own people will never get you
Hang in there, because you know that being present for yourself is all you need to do to get through.
What I understand is Being accommodative = agreement in silence

Being someone who read Under The Red Hood and came out with the firm belief that, for Jason, it's not about killing Joker, it's about Jason wanting proof Batman would choose him over the Joker (bc shelia chose the joker). Makes seeing any other media where it's all about just wanting the Joker dead is a teeny bit frustrating. to be honest
Jason could've killed the Joker himself, really, really easily. Jason kidnaps the Joker before the confrontation. I can't open my comic for a reference right now, but it felt like he had the Joker for quite a bit before the confrontation. He had him. He beat him up with a crowbar. He had every single opportunity to kill the Joker himself, but he didn't because that wasn't his goal. Make no mistake, he did plan for the Joker to be dead by the end of it, but do you see what im trying to say here
Edit: If I knew this post was gonna get 1000+ notes I would've tried to word it better or something, this was a rant I made on the way to the grocery store 😭
It's not about making Batman kill either. When Batman says he won't kill, Jason adjusts and goes, 'Let ME kill the Joker or kill me to stop me' instead. The test is all about Batman choosing him. The whole final confrontation is Jason's first death again. The parent, The Joker, and the explosives. It even ends with Jason unable to move as a bomb goes off right next to him again because the parent didn't choose Jason. And instead tried finding an option that'd benefit them and (consequencely) letting the Joker walk, again, lol, lmao <-in agony
#the final confrontation was basically his first death again#and YES he Does want the Joker dead#and it would've been really really nice if Batman was the one who did it#but when batman made it clear he wouldn't kill the joker. Jason easily switched to saying “LET me kill the joker” to accommodate#because he Wanted batman to pass his test#he gave a test to dick too. and technically tim but it wasnt the family test it was a different one so it doesnt rly count#AFTER utrh and the reveal and the batarang you can go hog wild about it. i care less about it then#granted i do believe they make jason more scared of the joker after it at some point#i guess because hes a bit too willing to kill the joker and ive heard jason wasnt meant to live after utrh#my watsonian explain for that is he was so fixated on his plan he cpuld override his fear. or maybe the pit. either work#i prefer the fixation bc i dont like the explanation that the pit was the /only/ reason he could get all plan together and done#BUT THATS UNRELATED!!!#dc stop putting the joker in jason stories im begging you please please please. lock him in a vault for the next 20 years or something#it Cpuld be good and i understand. but also. after so long of people that dont know or go for jasons need for family and parents#that love him and he can trust#the joker starts to feel like?? hm. words. a cop out? oh haha its that guy that killed him woagh hes here#i bet you dont even know that jaybin got beat until unconsciousness by an angry mob#while asking batman to save him only for batman to have to walk away#anwya. where was i going with this#i think i got off topic#jason todd#dc comics#batman#ADDED AN EDIT. SORRY. this post has been haunting me it keeps me awake. what if people misunderstand#they cant read my tags where i ramble more depth. thisbis the only option#EDIT EDIT: hiii#removed the sentence abt jason having the joker for several days bc i misremembered some things#go read its-your-mind 's addition instead also#ok no more i wont edit this post anymore i promise
