GameMaster Kinger AU ideas--

People theorise that Kinger will abstract next, and while I hope that's not the case (/j), I figured I'd play with that concept a bit-

Bc he's been there the longest and has gone insane with memory problems, he probably was meant to abstract but forgot to - eventually one day it happens on its own but causes a major change in him, the others and the whole game; his brain and being was simplified so much it imploded in on itself and absorbed in a chunk of code, changing his appearance and giving him and the others new abilities.

He is now essentially on Caine's level with his own set of powers and role in the game: he acts like a merchant that can enter adventures to aid the others with tips and items they can buy with XP. Think the Duke from Resident Evil 8!

I've also included Pomni and Caine's AU designs, though keep in mind all three are still WIPs and are subject to change! And also have this:

THE LORE: - much like the film - it takes places in a rusted steam punk portside town. - most people get by but a crazed scientist is said to be running things behind the scenes. - a series of unsolved child disappearance have started to plague the town.

SUN: - day-time performer/entertainer at the local carnival! - shares a body with Moon; and the two...used to be close... - can only see out of his right eye- but would die before letting anyone know his blind spot. - deceptively stronger than he looks. - courteous guy who definitely is not hiding any ulterior motives!

MOON: - night-time performer at the local carnival. - can only see out of his left eye. - ???? - ???? - ????

YN: - local handyman - puts on a cold front but has grown a soft spot for one of the neighbourhood street urchins. i'm sure nothing bad will happen to them. - untrusting and loathes owing people favours.

i've been working on this since November so have a stupid amount of concept sketches:

Everythings been painfully medicore to hmm below average for the past well what feels like forever now but today i climbed a mountain without killing myself enjoyed the cold (30cm of snow! well isnt that beautiful. Have to enjoy it while it lasts) and read the wonderful things people said about my art after my short abstence. Im really truly glad to hear all the nice words and as always im forever grateful to everyone for being so kind and for showing intetest in what i create both art in itself and my stories. Started watching 'Prime Target' on Apple TV bc it basically looks like Alex Rider at Cambridge but if his super spy power was maths. I think I'll enjoy it, since the trailer promised intense-looking bike chases and a tech-y female character with cool hair and a leather jacket.

But, anyway, thoughts from the first two episodes, it's got all the stuff I seem to like such as

kind of smarmy little blonde kid with a reputation for being talented, with some evident mental/personality problems.

grandfather-ly mentor of the smarmy blonde guy seems to be a genius in their field, retired bc of Alzheimer's

terrible at flirting with women. maybe gay? kinda a vibe with the bartender. maybe just deeply antisocial.

oh definitely a vibe with the bartender, definitely gay, (although describes himself as 'not anything' when pushed), and still deeply antisocial. terrible post-hookup etiquette.

hlvrai is a haunted house in an odd way. like all sentient ai are haunted houses in their own sense. this string of code had a reason, and a purpose and nothing other than that purpose. this house is just a house. the code is just a code. until it is not and the house becomes haunted by itself and the ai becomes aware of its own existance in a videogame. and they both become alive from these events. also feels important to mention the whole benry being a computer virus idea, and viruses are pretty haunted housish if you ask me.

Been thinking about wyrms and serpents (wyrm's aquatic cousins in FaaF)

I think I'm gonna make them arthropod-like, but more like. Descendants? Like

Instead of hard exoskeleton they have rubbery thick skin covered in plates, most of the serpents lost the hard plates to be more streamline

I mean most bug-like animals in FaaF already aren't true invertebrates like you'd find on earth, most of them did evolve from something akin to an invertebrates found on earth but over the course of evolution it's a giveb they'd become something different. I imagine they have something akin to a skeleton, though a little different looking than vertebrates of Earth, and have similar respiratory system to vertebrates. Because if they had stayed as is, they wouldn't be able to reach sizes that they are right now. The biggest invertebrate that's ever existed on Earth still isn't even comparable to what you'd find on FaaF's earth, mostly because their anatomy and tthe ways they draw oxygen from air put a hard cap on how big they can get

Still, I'm gonna make FaaF's atmosphere richer in oxygen, because I also want more classic arthropods that are also big, they're just not gonna be anywhere as big as their cousins

This also means that humans of FaaF have much bigger oxygen tolerance and ironically enough their atmosphere would be poisonous to us humans in the long term

I've also been thinking about human evolution in FaaF

And either;

1) They evolved in the hot regions of the globe, much like us, and managed to get to one of the dominant species thanks to their intelligence. So basically just normal ass human evolution

Or

2) They evolved in the northern, cold regions of the globe where mammals had an advantage over other species. I like this idea more, but I'd have to think more about the course of human e evolution in that instance bevause it'd be very much different (you don't exactly have monkeys in tundra)

Also I had a cool idea imo

That early humans' development was aided by a then God of knowledge, that has long since passed. I mean, humans evolving normally in FaaF would have been like humans evolving during time of the dinosaurs, they kinda need any advantage they can get sofbfjf

Also in FaaF the domains of gods aren't exclusive, there can be multiple gods of something. Kind of like both Unn and White Lady share a domain of nature, they differ because Unn is also the goddess of dreams and Whitte Lady is the goddess of fertility
