bojack horseman is so fucking good and i don’t mean that in an edgelord wanna-be bojack, straight white man sort of way. i mean it in the scriptwriting sort of way and how sadness and loneliness bleeds into almost every single aspect of it. how the show is so good at alienating its characters from each other while simultaneously connecting them together so deeply that there is no pulling away from the sticky black tar that is bojack and the hole around him.

it is not an overstatement to call bojack horseman a black hole and the show writers did such a spectacular job at sewing that inescapable web the characters find themselves in. addiction, love loneliness, obligation, guilt, they all stay around bojack for one reason or another, but it never ends well. there are hardly any times where bojack makes the “right” choice and even fewer where he WILLINGLY does it. he’s so doomed, but he still gets to recover. he still finds his way through the web of addiction and out on the other side and though the choice to finally get sober is not enough to make those he really cares about stay, it’s enough to give him a new lease he otherwise would not have been afforded.

Hnnn thinking about Bea's death scene again. The way her last line is "and now, the easy part". It was one of the hardest hitting lines of any line in that episode. The easiest thing she ever had to do was die. All the thinking she did throughout her life, all her trauma she had to sit on and not confide in ANYONE over, all those years she spent trapped: first with her father, then with her husband, and finally, in her own head. The easiest part of her life was to take the option of escaping when she could. The easiest part of her life, was to die.

thinking about two netflix shows that are pretty depressing SPOILERS for death note/ Bojack mostly death note

watching death note I be like: Hmm i don't give a fuck what happens to Light screw that guy I hope he loses, L what are you doing to Misa? GAY VIBES for L/LIGHT! Hey misas smart when shes not obesssed over Light too bad that didnt last/ the part without L is so damn boring i dont give a crap about the new guy chasing Light id root for Light but he sucks so screw both of them, mr. before i watched bojack i use to think hollyhock was penny i didn't know eithers name at the time i jus t knew bojack did something bad to a girl and was labeled the p word.. and saw pictures of him and a horse girl a lot but no deer girl. . but i knew enough that when i got to escape to la it clicked and i was just ohshit.. this is that ep where bojack who i do care about is going to something unforgiveable whatfun.. i was mad at him for 2 days then i just got over it cause the show must go on .

Stan: "I might not ever come back, so if you don't hear from me, I just want you to know it's because I never loved you."

We see Stan yell the last few words at Ford, face flushed and upset. The shot zooms out to show the two of them, Stan in the snow and Ford on his porch. There is distance between them. They are in a blizzard. It's silent for a few seconds.
