There's just a cruelty of this society you don't really notice until you hurt a certain way. Something traumatic happens, something absolutely earth shattering happens that makes you want to curl into a ball and cry and just let yourself work through your hurt, but you're still expected to pay rent. You're still expected to go to work. You're expected to be kind and put on a smile. You're expected to keep paying bills and be a professional be "normal" like.
