I lowkey hate hussie but he was fucking cooking with the “I feel so caucasian“ line. Like ofc the metaphor for drugs have the characters reach their pure hetronormative reality by becoming white and hetro 😭

My favorite headcannons in my Stranger Things Fic:
Will hates that El's birthday is celebrated on November 6th (she picked it), but then he forgets that it's the day he goes missing so he moves on. She only picked that date because it's usually seen as bad so she wanted to make him happy
Back in California, Will and El used to split the time they spent with Sean. Will gets Monday and Tuesday, El gets Thursday and Friday, and he hangs out with both on Wednesdays. On the weekends, he spends time with Argyle.
Furthermore, Sean met them because he threw a book at Will's head. He was aiming for Angela, but she dodged it. He got two weeks' detention and met them after Argyle did. Will fell for him the same day he got hit.
Eleven likes to be called Jane more than "El" but she keeps it as a nickname.
Mike spent a whole day at Max's house complaining about how much he dislikes Sean.
Sean's real birth name is Ignacio De La Cruz. His birth mother is white Dominican and his biological dad is Afro-Dominican. His mother was shot four times because she broke into the lab repeatedly to get him back. She's alive, lives in Indianapolis, and is still looking for him.
Angela and Sean used to be friends but that was before he was outed. El and Will know nothing about this story.
Sean knows Spanish but no one knows how. In fact, no one in the adopted family taught him Spanish. He started speaking it one day and they just went along with it.
Dr. Roseanne, their therapist, believes that Sean and El are on the neurodivergent spectrum. They both have varying severities of ADHD, autism, BPD, PTSD, depression, and anxiety. She knows not to diagnose them just yet.
Sean would identify as genderfluid if he grew up in 2024.
Ana Maria was arrested because Sean and Mateo had found a dead body in their backyard and had moved it. She confessed to killing the man and got the charges dropped from her brothers.
The man died form heroin overdose
Eleven gets irregular periods. Jonathan was there when she got her first one. She was terrified.
Eleven and Will were taught how to surf by Argyle. Jonathan would take videos of them while Sean suntanned (he doesn't need to tan at all but he can't swim).
Elliot calls Max daily to complain about Lucas's gentle and unbearable physical affection. She laughs every time.
Erica loves Lucas. And she tells him every night before she goes off to bed. (She's terrified of losing him after Vecna)
Erica and Melanie are very close and do each other's hair.
Will, Eleven, and Mike go to NYU. Sean goes to Cal U School of Arts. Max enters the workforce and become a tattoo apprentice. Dustin and Lucas get into Perdue. Elliot and Melanie join them a year later.
Steve has been in love with Jonathan since he punched him back in S1.
The Guerreros are incredibly rich. Their dad owns the Sufer Boy Pizza Franchise, and Argyle just likes to smoke weed and make pizza.
Their majors are Double Major in Fine Arts & Art History (Will); Double Major in Business & English (Mike); Fashion Design (Eleven); Double Major in Theater Arts & Art History (Sean); Architectural Science (Lucas); Computer Science (Dustin); Sports and Physical Therapy (Elliot); Writing and Journalism (Melanie)

Books around the world
A while ago, I made a post that I want to make a list of books from every country of the earth. The qualifications are rather simple: The author needs to be from that country and the novel needs to take place in that country. The books themselves don't need to be the best from that country, just something I've read. They need to exist in a language that I can understand (which, for me, are German, English, Norwegian and Swedish).
If you have any suggestions, please send them to me 😊 So, without further ado, here is the list! (Books that I've already read are bold, books I have picked out for the country but haven't read yet are not)

1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 10, 11, and 19! That is quite a few questions so feel free to pick & choose which ones you’d like to answer :)
1. what i’m reading - still trying to finish the voyage of the dawn treader (cs lewis). reading just makes me so sleepy and my mind likes to wander. if anyone has any tips to get out of a reading slump (especially for someone with adhd) please let me know 📖
2. something i want to read - i have such a long TBR. i want to finish the narnia series, read the ballad of songbirds and snakes (and sunrise on the reaping once it comes out), and of course get my hands on north! or be eaten. oh and read the percy jackson/heroes of olympus series. and the lord of the rings trilogy. and some jane austen (persuasion and emma) 📚
3. 5 songs i’ve recently been obsessed with - this is such a hard question. i suddenly hate every single song ever but let’s go with:
• gratitude - brandon lake
• hey, honey - the 502s, hey, nothing
• gold - james marriott
• fair game - dayglow
• from the ritz to the rubble - arctic monkeys
6. a rock:
Tumblr media
(from the bottom of a waterfall in the dominican republic)
9. craving right now - an iced chai latte. i ran out of chai concentrate at home so i didn’t have one today :(
10. favorite animal - for the longest time it was dolphins and i still love them but now it’s seals!! they’re like little water dogs i love them 🦭
11. favorite season - already answered :)
19. favorite candle - i had this really nice christmas candle from target last year but i burned it all and i can’t remember what it was called. now it’s probably my vanilla chai candle 🕯️

8 25 and 1
Thank you!
1. What's your name?
Bridget! My name was inspired by Bridget Fonda (the niece of Jane Fonda, who I'm a huge fan of). Coincidentally it was also the name of my mom's midwife.
8. How many languages do you know?
Like one and a half. English is my first language and I took several Spanish classes in school. I use it communicate with my inlaws, as they're Dominican and speak it as a first language.
I'm also in the process of learning ASL for my job! I live in a community with a large deaf population, so it's a very helpful thing to know.
25. Are you a morning or a night person?
Night person! I'm definitely a night owl, and possibly a vampire. I like daytime, but things feel so much more peaceful at night.

Penny: lesbian and agender (they/she/it), autistic, her special interest is animals (specifically lions), love language is gift giving, collects little trinkets and gives them their friends, mostly sews her own clothes just because she can, its favorite song is daisy bell, keeps jane on her bed and it successfully freaks out everyone that goes into her room every time, braids oceans hair, really tall like 'almost mischas height' tall, plus sized, just stares at people sometimes (if 'people' ends up being mischa, it will turn into a multiple minute long staring contest), therapist of the group, the greenest eyes, karnaks favorite, didnt have eyes as jane just empty eye sockets, mitski fan, randomly picks up and carries ocean sometimes (air jail for the ginger >:]), really good at the violin despite being self taught, goes to the thrift store with ocean to look for old dolls while she buys clothes, has an entire wall of vintage crosses despite not being religious, cosplays and drags the choir to renfaire, loves studio ghibli, real name is peninnah, favorite ride is the carousel, cant type for shit, the only one that willingly volunteers to catsit for ricky
Constance: ace pan demigirl, (she/they) plus size, afro-dominican, kpop fan, really fucking strong from kneading dough her their whole life (that punch to the boob really must have hurt), made matching friendship bracelets for the choir, takes buzzfeed quizzes religiously, nailed it enjoyer, glues little rhinestones to her glasses, pinterest girlie, vocaloid and ABBA fan, boba enjoyer, loves barbie movies unironically, mom friend, carries sunscreen on them at all times during the summer so ocean doesnt get burnt to a crisp, brings left over baked goods from the cafe to lunch/choir practice, tbh shes probably the only reason ocean hasnt starved to death yet, fanfiction reader

I think because Jane is christain and the book says bigamy is a sin she thinks shell go to hell so starving to her is better then hell its not just her morals
You're absolutely right. 💯 correct. I simply disagree with her reasoning and her priorities.
If she had left because he was abusing his wife and lying to her, I would be all for it. Starving on the streets will give you more peace of mind than staying with a man like that. Love it for you, babe.
But that was not her motivation.
She finds out that her boss/fiancée has been keeping his wife locked in the attic. She's fine with that part. He even lied to her face, gaslighting her about what she saw when she confronted him about the strange woman who came to her room in the night. She's fine with that part, too. Which is like.. weird. Keeping a woman locked in an attic and lying about it and gaslighting her were the things she should have been upset about. But they're not.
He explains that his marriage was arranged by his father when he was pretty young, that he knew nothing about this woman except what she looked like at parties, and that the mental illness that ran in her family was kept secret from him until after they were married. So this marriage literally means nothing to him. It's not like he was in love with her once and then grew tired of her and is trading her in for the newer model now. He was thrown into a business transaction and lied to at every step of the way. And now that he's met Jane and fallen in love with her he thinks this could actually be his chance for true love on his own terms. And even though Jane wants him too-- because she still wants him after finding out he keeps a whole person locked in the attic-- the simple fact that he has a wife, in any capacity, is preventing her from being with him.
And it's like "oh he was keeping her locked in the attic because he genuinely cared about her and didn't want her to get sent to an asylum where they would be inhumane to her" and sure. If that's what he thinks he's doing. But he doesn't really see her as human anyway. He describes her as an animal and worse. Which, i mean, given her Creole background, is deeply unsettling in and of itself. He also describes Jane as not human but he means it endearingly and that is also super concerning, cuz Jane is whiter than white so she's a perfect little magic fairy, not a dangerous animal.
So, he keeps Bertha locked in an attic so she won't get sent to an asylum where they will treat her inhumanely. But... like... was locking her in an attic and hiring one (singular) person to watch her 24/7 (not even treat her, just watch her) and denying her existence for 15 years any more humane? Or is that a backwards Christian idea about sympathy and righteousness?
I am saying all this as a queer WOC living in the U.S., where i have been effectively held hostage by christianity and christian ideology. My same-sex marriage could be struck down at any point by this government in the name of Christian values. My right to an abortion and bodily autonomy in general has already been taken away by it. Christian Europeans came to the Caribbean to colonize and exploit and convert my Puerto Rican and Dominican ancestors. So I'm coming at this from a place of justified resentment for Christian ideas of hell. Historically, what constitutes a sin and what you go to hell for versus what is good and just can be extremely fucked up and hypocritical in Christianity. It's okay for him to secretly keep a woman locked in the attic "for her own good" but it's not okay for him to marry a woman he loves. It is the correct thing for Jane to suffer, leaving her home to beg for food on the streets rather than stay with the man she still wants, because he happens to be married on paper. It's not a problem that he kept a woman locked in an attic, just that he tried to marry someone when he was already married.
Like jesus, Jane, just get the dick. You might as well.

Speaking of music! What type of music is P fcking R! Jane into? I love that snippet you’ve given us and I’m so excited to read Jane as a UC with Martinez and just diving into that world. I can do see how he and Jane clicked and clashed HARD . Of course you had to also have Jane dive into his sister 😂 Que drama! Any HC you may want to share form that universe? Have a great weekend!
There is a playlist! However this is mood music for the story and not necessarily what P FKN R Jane would listen to.
I picture her listening to canon Jane music, like Ambrosia, The Bee Gees, Sade, Prince, for mood. She listens to metal and other hard rock (like Metallica and shit) to pump herself up or work out. She loves her some Cher and gay club classics like Madonna and Donna Summer, too. In P FKN R she also has a reggaeton and bachata side courtesy of the Martinez family and some of the Dominican guys that worked in DCU with them.
In terms of head canons for the universe? Tatiana and Rafael’s mom moved Tatiana back to LA where she’s from when their parents got a divorce, and their dad took Rafa back to PR which is why he has his accent. And why Tatiana sounds Mexican (because they’re half). Their mom moved back to Boston to spend more time with Rafa after missing his childhood. She brings big lunches for him and his DCU buddies. This is how Jane meets Tatiana.
I think that’s it for now? I’ll have to think of one for Maura, too 🤔
