i finished it, was kicked out of the game, and then spent the next 10 minutes drawing this. i will now go take a shower, most likely cry, and then go through the emotional turmoil of convincing myself to reset so i can do a geno run. i hate it here :D

I GOT CHILLS SO BAD #to think that all the other souls have stories just as expansive and emotional as clover n frisks. how fucked up is that. in a good way tho #and finally the last scene where we got all 4 of our main friends sending us off in waterfall and we see clovers items end up in the dump #just waiting to be found by bratty and catty. fucken hell man this was a masterpiece #anyways time to reset and obliterate everyone and never emotionally recover from that ever!! really is feeling like 2016-17 again w the way #this game has me sobbing my eyes out and feeling the guilt of knowing that i dont HAVE to kill them all but im too curious not to #oh well. at least i have the balls to do it this time around instead of letting a youtuber do it for me ig

i think what undertale fangames should really strive for is to push undertale's themes of mercy to the edge - push the PLAYER to see what their limits are on who deserves mercy.

#like for example.#someone who's having some sort of psychotic break and trying to hurt you. can you really justify killing them just because they were trying #to kill you? even though they would have snapped out of it eventually? even though they didn't actually WANT to kill you?#some would say you're justified to kill that person in self defense because you might have died if you didn't.#remember that there's always a power imbalance between humans and monsters. the human always has more power to end the conflict peacefully.#how about someone who's killed before? not someone like asgore or flowey where the situation's intricacies run deep.#this person simply murdered another monster because they wanted to. because they had something to gain from it #physically or emotionally. let's say he poisoned his lovely father to get his inheritence.#he is not fighting YOU to kill you for some petty gain - he's doing it for some other reason.#perhaps he's fighting you with no intent to kill - just to deter you from doing something that could ruin his life. or perhaps he intends t #kill you for a good reason.#can you justify taking his life because of what he did before?#the answers to these may seem obvious to you. but there are many who do believe it is within your right to kill these people.#this game should push them to reconsider their stance on this topic.#when you spare everyone because 'it's an undertale game and that's what you're supposed to do' sometimes you can miss out. and miss the poin #many people would be like 'i'm supposed to spare this guy? seriously? that's stupid.' and do it snyway because it's what you're 'supposed'#to do because it's an undertale game and the lesson is 'killing is bad.' they don't stop to reconsider WHY they think it's ridiculous to be #asked to spare these people.#i want to make an undertale fangame where at the beginning it says something like #'Don't just spare characters because this is an Undertale game and that's what you're 'supposed' to do. The ironic part about that tag ramble I just did is that I actually like vengeance and neutral best in uty. (Neutral>vengeance>pacifist for me lol)

Pacifist is fun and I like how much we learn about the characters and the ceroba fight, but out of the three routes it's the one that captivates me the least. Don't get me wrong, that first run was magical and I still really like it! I think most of that is bc it's clover and flowey's relationship and how it's used that captivates me most about this game.

But even then, clover inherently being someone who didn't immediately lash out at the monsters (be that through wanting to be kind or due to fear/some other reason) is so so important to their character.

We (and Flowey) can make them worse. But they put thought into their judgement when given the chance. It took hundreds of resets for clover to choose violence and even then, it wasn't of their own volition. It's not who Clover is at their core - they want things to be fair and they get easily drawn into caring for people. Hell, martlet in vengeance even calls them out for trying to find reasons to hate her in her memories, because deep down they don't want to at all, and even in flawed/aborted vengeance they're sincere in wanting to live with her, to the point flowey is shocked and angered. Their care for martlet is a constant regardless of route and that's one of my other favourite parts about this game.

#the doomed toxic partnership between clover and flowey #and the doomed friendship that clover and martlet have are both so so important to me #none of this can stop till flowey lets go and flowey historically has a lot of issues with that.#clover probably wouldn't wanna leave it on vengeance either. it's a hollow victory.#once they stepped away they'd probably realise how unjust their actions were #and clover and martlet... one of them is always doomed to die. there's no ending where they both get to live #martlet tries so hard to save them but it doesn't work. then they think they can walk away so flowey kills her. then they fight to the deat #oughhhhhh THEY HURT ME I LOVE THEM

This took about 40 hours, give or take a few

#I can tell you one thing #Embroidering while having arthritis is really not a piece of cake. When you hand cramps just by holding it at an angle.#At least I can be grateful for my empty schedule #Makes embroidering till the sun rises back up so much easier #Insomnia also helps with this task #I was listening to the ost while working on it and… Live reaction #Occupied turf is so good actually !? Why wasn’t it shown more often !? IT’S FIRE !?#I forgot I only did a pacifist so I got so confused when neutral Flowey came out…#A mother’s love ? Should’ve called this “I’m gonna fuck you up”#The number of time I got my ass handed back to me in this fight is not even funny #The first time is great. The second I only discern my favorites and the sudden change in style. By the third loop I can’t recognize shit #my brain is melting and my eyes are on fire…#Advantages on doing it during daytime. Eyes hurt less. Good stupid tv to listen to in the background Disadvantages. People #Advantages on doing it at night. Alone. Personally work better at night #Disadvantages. No good TV. Time goes by slower…? I don’t know maybe I’m just loosing it with those freaking petals #For reference one petal took me about 3 and a half hours. So yeah… I thought it would never end… Took out almost all my yellow.#When the line tangles itself in the back and you realize only close to the end of it that half went missing #So you have to go backward to entangle it and loose 30 mins because damn it #Cats are not helpful in any of those scenarios #Why do I feel the need to make the back perfect when nobody else but me will know #This is the last time I do one so big without thinking it through #Note to self. Don’t do it standing up when the cats are awake. ik last post said the chara spirit comment as a joke but have i ever gone into my theory/headcanon that chara isn't actually present in the photoshop flowey fight because they're connected to the player's save file and that's gone when flowey takes over

#hear me out.... i love the part of the theory that chara represents stats in the game as well as being the narrator #and whats completely absent from the photoshop flowey fight........#there's one bit where the narrator pipes up but its either flowey mocking the player (speaking of which could asriel be a bit suspicious?)#or very close to the end when flowey's losing control anyways #also just. the angst potential there. you and frisk have lost a friend that was there since the very beginning #ofc there are holes in this like part of the theory is that flowey awakens chara at the start by initiating the battle #but if chara's only just awakened then why are the stats immediately prepped for battle #idk tho. ftr im not trying to go ''this is 100% canon'' im kinda loose with narra chara but yeah i like the implications of it #echoed voice

Introducing Ink!Flowey! He's from the same multiverse as Nightmare!Chara and Dream!Asriel.

His form is Flowey, but he can amass ink around himself to look bigger and more Asriel-y. Instead of vials, he has flower petals. They're the pencil shavings of creators while working on new AUs!

When he's fighting or angry, his form gets a lot less defined and becomes more viscous and drippy, which is what the right image is. And when he runs out of petals, he becomes paler and paler. If he ever ran out completely, he wouldn't be able to move and would eventually dust. He also can't hold his form very well without them.

(Work in progress?) Story of my depressing River!Frisk AU to the lyrics of Stranded Lullaby by Miracle Musical 💖⛵

I'd like to clean and color this and turn it into a video, and switch some stuff around, but this is it.

I've talked about my River!Frisk AU a few times before, but if you're curious, and don't want to look at the links, I will once again go into detail about the story (because at this point, I really don't think I'm finishing the fanfic, it's ok).. . .

It basically happens within my Growing Pains fanfic/AU, during a CORE visit, at 12(?) Frisk is forcibly glitched out and is thrown back into time right before Chara arrived and is forced to live in secret without messing with the timeline, if they do, they risk horribly glitching out and destroying the universe and are forced to Reload their Save.

So they grow up in the Underground in secret, aging very slowly, living as a by-stander, unable to help or receive help (things only get worse for them mentally/emotionally when Flowey arrives, oops)

At some point they run into a devious Mad Majick that just completely totals whatever is left of their sanity and then they run into Gaster who manages to help them and 'fix' their glitch, allowing them to fit into the timeline properly, and Frisk finally figures out that they're supposed to be River Person and is thrilled about it, now they can help people and be helped in return! Their mind at this point is still in pieces but they're finally happy and relieved- also, they get to ride and command the best boat ever!

Later, once their original past self arrives and Saves the day, River Frisk attempts to visit Asriel after he changes back into his flower body, but dissolves into time and arrives back in their original timeline in their 12-year-old body, their memories as River Frisk too traumatic for them, so their mind blocks it out... now very confused and forever now a little unhinged, they run off to continue their life normally.

With... Gaster looking pretty regretful, but this was a necessary experiment and it's thankfully over now.

....If you squint and turn your head to the left, it's like a really messed up Spirited Away situation, but not really, however Frisk and Chara have always reminded me of Chihiro and now I'm rambling.
