Sequential Art Full Time Semi-Active Career

As a huge nerd, this had to be one of the first of my old careers that I decided to revamp. And by revamp, I mean recreate the WHOLE thing from scratch. This requires City Living, as it is a Semi-Active career, meaning your Sim can go into work or work from home.

This includes everything I could think of; Daily Tasks, layoffs, a TON of chance cards and fame opportunities (the latter requires Get Famous). I've created lots of custom interactions, work from home assignments and buffs. I've written my own script file to add 2 brand new book genres; Comic Book and Graphic Novel with custom designed Simlish covers. Also, there's a custom uniform using Base Game items, so you can be sure not to have anything missing. I've included all of the icons I've used from other Game Packs, just in case you don't have them.

One of the career rewards is the Slablet (I know, it's useless). Or should I say it WAS! Now you get a bunch of eComics and eGraphic Novels to read. You can complete your Daily Tasks on a computer, or some require one of the other rewards you get.

The first branch where you start out will see your Sim working at a Comic Book store. After 3 levels, you can choose your branch. There are then 7 levels per branch, which I won't spoil for you...

What else? Oh, right; a brand new custom Skill; Digital Art. I've enabled NPC career joining, so if you have Neighborhood Stories turned on, your unplayed Sims could join this career along with EA's!!

Despite just being one career, this was a LOT of work, and I did my best to perfect everything. As a stickler for details though, if you do spot any errors, please send me a report here.

I honestly didn't ever expect that I'd be in the position where I'd be using this blog not just to analyse what has come before in Homestuck, but to look toward the comic's future and do some real old-fashioned theorycrafting. but the time has come. so here goes; lime-bloods' Beyond Canon theories as of the July 6th 2024 update:

Vriska's Going to Hell

were all gonna help you! / whether you like it or not

a select few eagle-eyed readers already noticed that the sound used in last month's (Vriska: Figure shit out yourself.) is called "hell_tierwav". while it was easy to dismiss this as irrelevant composer shenanigans at the time, it's now become clear exactly what this was foreshadowing. whether it would be more apt to call this "Hell" or "Purrgatory" is probably up for debate - but whatever you call it, Vriska's been placed in a dimension seemingly tailored specifically for her personal torment.

while Vriska characteristically interprets the recreation of her childhood home as a symbol of how badass she was, the ghosts of her past - both literal, as the shades of the trolls she killed as Mindfang, and figurative, in the form of sprites wearing the faces of her dead friends - show us in no uncertain terms that Vriska's childhood home is the stage where traumas play out.

Erisolsprite puts it succinctly with his welcome to hell, but pay close attention to what exactly we're being welcomed to: this update ends on page 665. so as of this next update, we'll be starting on page 666.

Does Homestuck Have Hell?

the exact bubble of reality Vriska's currently found herself in seems to be an entirely new construction of the likes we've not yet seen in Homestuck - but that doesn't mean this kind of cosmic torment is without precedent. because while 666 is a number with Satanic connotations in the broader cultural context, it also has a very particular meaning of its own within the world of Homestuck. indeed, the latter half of the comic almost revolves around it, culminating in a climax in Act 6 Act 6 Act 6.

specifically, this repetition of a single digit is emblematic of recursive storytelling. to summarise what you can already read about in detail in my essay The World / The Wheel: when Caliborn is 'gifted' the Act 6 Act 6 supercartridge, which he is told is an "expansion" of Homestuck, it's a trick. there is no "expansion"; he's going to be trapped in a story that never ends because it keeps dividing into smaller and smaller versions of itself forever. the only way to truly beat the devil who trapped the heroes within a story is to trap him in his own story.

that's what Caliborn's "Hell" is, and that's also exactly what the Alternate Calliope achieved in Act 7 by creating the black hole which Vriska knocked Lord English into, ending Homestuck's story - something that Calliope even hints at in this very update, when she refers to the black hole as "containment"; not an accident, but a deliberately crafted prison. black holes are a symbol of recursion and regression; being sucked into one means being forced to live out your whole life over and over again, forever. so really, this is all we ever could have expected to happen when Vriska stepped into a black hole within a black hole! the presentation of the narrative even subtly hints at this; events in Beyond Canon that take place in the black hole are enclosed (in brackets), and now events that take place in a black hole-within-a-black-hole are contained within {curly brackets}, because you should always use a different kind of brackets to differentiate nested parenthesis from each other!

it is absolutely no coincidence that when Caliborn closes the curtains on his appearances in Homestuck, thinking he's won when really he's been condemned to a hell of his own making forever more, it's with a tribute to this exact same Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff strip.

IF YOU REMEMBER JUST ONE THING I SAY, OF SO MANY GREAT THINGS SAID BY ME, THEN PLEASE REMEMBER THIS. I WANTED TO PLAY A GAME.

So What Does That Mean?

one of Beyond Canon's central missions is expanding upon Homestuck's exploration of the relationships between author, text, and audience. as discussed above, a large part of Homestuck's thesis is the evil of forcing characters to live the same lives and the same stories over and over without the chance to grow or move on, and Beyond Canon picks up on this by placing Dirk in the position of trying to keep Homestuck going forever purely to appease its fans, while the Alternate Calliope continues to oppose this ideology. and while the alpha Calliope outwardly seems not to have taken a hard position on where she stands in this cosmic battle, the question posed by her device seems to be an entirely new one: can it actually be a good thing to regress, to return to ground that the story has already covered? can this path lead to something new, rather than merely stagnation?

it's so relevant that Vriska is being confronted with the crimes of her past, not only in the form of all the trolls she was personally responsible for killing but also in the form of the exact same punishment she condemned Lord English to with her heroism - complete with the herd of horses that are always present at Caliborn's demise! but where being condemned to an eternal cycle was fitting punishment for Caliborn, someone who refuses to break free of cycles of abuse and instead chooses to enact that same abuse on the world around him... if Vriska is someone who can break free of these cycles, who can change and become a better person despite what happened to her, will this punishment have the same effect? or, as Davepeta seems to believe, is forcing Vriska to reckon with her own past and traumas exactly what will allow her to break free of that cycle?

it's hard not to be struck by the parallels in design and purpose between the Plot Point and Dragon Ball's Hyperbolic Time Chamber, and not just because of the Dragon Ball enthusiasts present on Beyond Canon's writing and art teams: albeit in typically Strider-bastardised form, the Time Chamber got a shoutout in Andrew Hussie's own Homestuck (see quote above), in a reference that was even picked up on by prolific theorist bladekindeyewear at the time. for the uninitiated: the Hyperbolic Time Chamber allowed its users to train for extended stretches of time, sometimes even spanning years, while a significantly smaller time period passed in the world outside - something that is actually true of real-life black holes! and with the Plot Point's own emphasis on time, represented by the hourglass included among its mechanisms, it seems to me that an essential part of making the 16-year-old Vriska ready for the trials ahead will be giving her the time to undergo the same growth her adult friends have experienced.

considering that Beyond Canon is already playing in the Ultimate Self space, where there are levels of power beyond merely the "god tiers", it also doesn't seem too farfetched to speculate that Vriska, forced to reckon with the fact that becoming a powerful Thief of Light isn't the be-all and end-all of personal growth, will take another leaf out of Dragon Ball's book here and ascend "beyond Super Saiyan". perhaps this is even the "hell tier" so cheekily alluded to in the Plot Point flash? certainly this kind of evolution would be the perfect way to challenge Dirk's belief that the Ultimate Self is the only logical final step for a character's development.

whatever the case, I believe we can take Davepeta at their word here. I don't think it's just a joke that by the end of this ordeal Vriska Serket is going to be fucking RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPPED!

"Muse with Aquamarine Scales" (Full Comic) 28-page long self contained comic about a bird who started seeing flying fish

Oops, reached the limit of images per post with the last page. Guess i'll have to add Afterword in text form: Been a while since I've done something in comic form. So yeah, initially "Muse" started out as a self-proposed challenge to do a short comic story within 2 weeks of production. Not 2 weeks straight, just a total of 2 weeks' worth of free days, majority of which I could spend on it. And as far as writing and storyboarding got, I didn't really have much problem with that, finishing up both at around a week. I already sketched down character designs and had a story structure ready from the conceptual step of the process. But as I moved on to sketching, I slowed down my work on it paradoxically enough 'cause i didn't want to waste any free days I had when I felt like I wouldn't do much progress with, so those days wouldn't count to the arbitrary 2 weeks limit I gave myself. The limit being my way of trying to handle my perfectionism issues, going with more concept-arty quality than properly cleaned arts. And even then, in the end I ended up having some specific parts cleaned up, such as the final page. Easy to say that I failed my challenge in terms of the rules I gave myself, firstly I extended production time to 3 and then 4 weeks and around week 3 when I was around halfway into finishing the comic, I lost count of how many days I've given to the production of it. And don't get me wrong, I'm glad I gave more time and attention to a story which I was interested to write for a while now, had this idea for years. Don't think I've ever been as excited when finishing work on a comic before. This was an enjoyable rest from the exhaustive production of ELoNR's second chapter. Thanks for giving it a read. 2024 Art Summary

Happy New Year (Again!)

Just like last time, it's time for another self-indulgent end-of-year post. A lot of things happened and unfortunately I don't feel that I made as much art as I did last year. I got bombarded with people asking me for art trades when I opened them last winter and I still haven't done most of them. I'm used to only a few randos that I mostly turn down requesting them, but having a bunch of friends ask all at once was a bit unexpected. If you're still waiting, I haven't forgotten and will make it eventually. Unfortunately I have the "I shouldn't draw for myself until I do my owed art" mentality most of the time and it just results in doing absolutely nothing because, quite frankly, I often don't want to draw other characters more than I want to draw my own. I'm going to have to be extremely selective about art trades going forward. I also moved this year for the first time ever, and that threw a big wrench in the works. The reason I moved so soon was because my insane sister was moving back in. She threatened to poop in my brother's bed (she's 22) and threatened both of us with violence and my parents were like "yeah that's fine". So uh, yeah, goodbye to living that sweet, sweet, chimpanzee lifestyle. All of that aside, I still made plenty of things, and I'll talk about a few of them here.

January

Some of the last comic panels I worked on before the art trade fiasco put working on the comic to a halt for almost a whole year. These are sketches, but the whole page is done now, of course. This was probably the most time-consuming panel so far, as I had to draw an indoor scene with 9 characters (technically 10 if you count Scott twice). I'm not sure if any of the panels that I have yet to work on will surpass this one in amount of time needed. There's a reason I made this one of the first scenes on the laundry list.

February

The first art trade. I had the pleasure of drawing Mumbo, Jumbo, Balder, and Dash for Chalkrub. I don't feel too great about the background, with its wonky perspective and odd colors, but everyone seems to like how it turned out anyway. It's my third most popular piece of art on this whole site as of writing this.

March

I made this for no reason other than I wanted to draw something edgy for edgy's sake. It had been a while since I made any art of this nature, and Ferdinand is my go to OC for it. My taste in art is not the same as what I draw. I make what I do because it's more about the enjoyment of the process than the aesthetic appeal of the final piece. When I focus on personal aesthetic appeal, I end up not drawing for 9 months at a time because I hate injuring my hand on inking all the time. So if you're some edgy artist and ever wondered why the fuck a cartoon shitposter extraordinaire follows you, there you go.

April

Another art trade, this time for 888goober888 on DeviantArt. A perfect example of a classic case of the eternal false promise "yeah I'll just finish this detail and then be done." And then there's 3,000 brushstrokes worth of individual grass blades. Tee hee.

May

This was a painting I started, and then put down because it was awful to work on, and then I picked it back up weeks later and finished it. The miseries I suffer for not trusting the process. It was a backburner project for a backburner project, which is the website. This painting is now the homepage background, ready to greet all visitors to my nonsense.

June

Commission for Porcumoose. I get the standard array of OC types in my commissions, because every client wants something different from the last. This time I felt very fortunate to draw something I personally like, and I this was my favorite commission from the whole year. This is my way of saying to the public at large "Please pay me to draw more spooky shit please please please".

July

Art Fight month again. I was planning on attempting longest chain with a friend, but he fell ill and we cancelled that plan. I decided to do a slow art year instead, which means fewer attacks with higher quality. My personal favorite from fighting for Team Stardust was this attack, Osireon (a fanmade eeveelution) for Sqveel. Thank you to everyone who attacked me! I always appreciate every single one. Next year is the big 10 year, and I plan on making it special.

August

August always begins with a week-long break from art for me, simply to rest after Art Fight. I also had a week-long vacation shortly thereafter, so half of my month was already spoken for. I had also started the process of moving and lost even more time to that. I can't recall exactly what all I made during then because it was very little, but one of them was certainly catgirl Maudlin. Here she is in all her glory.

September

This is when I moved, and I did not have access to the internet on my computer for a little while. I also spent much of my available drawing time working on a commission, so this was another month where I made very little for myself and cannot recall what little there was. Scatterbrain pineapple is going to teach you French while I jog my memory with blunt force and drywall.

October

Alright, now we're talking. On a whim I decided to participate in Goretober, because I couldn't stop thinking of stupid slapstick ideas and I thought someone scrolling through the tag and seeing this stupid shit randomly in the mix was funny. I was correct. I have one last prompt that I'll get to when I get to it, but aside from that one, this was my favorite drawing from the season. I think I've raised the bar on my own cursed content.

November

After Goretober, I took a break from regular drawing and leaned in favor of website progress. I made a handful of long-needed art assets, animated a custom cursor, created directories for future comic releases, and more. There is still much more to do, but a lot of the necessary code is sorted out.

December

Fuck those art trades (respectfully). I'll do them when I do them. I started working on the comic again for the first time since last February and I've already got a few more pages done. I don't really publicly talk about the comic very much, and yet I'll have random people take interest in the characters, the site, the prospect of a comic coming into existence, etc. and so I should really get on that. As much as the trades have been delayed, this is a project that was started much earlier and honestly could've been done by now if I didn't have to live for so long with people who are blasé about abusing each other. It needs to be completed.

These are just a small selection of my artworks throughout the past year. If you would like to see more, then you can peruse the blog. It's been my goal to get the comic done for the last two years, and we're going on year 3 now. Same old, same old. You'll see more art from me soon. anyways, whoo! 2023! compared to both 2022 and 2021, i gotta say, my art style took a hard swerve in some direction this year. i mean, look at that klavier from january and that butch kim from just this december! (granted, i heavily referenced the portrait of butch kim but still, i didn't use to paint! mama mia!)

also! the part about the lineart not being colored and no rendering ended up being a deliberate stylistic choice for this one bc i had like more freedom to do just shadows with inks without it looking too out of place.

This is a strange read, and curiously, there are three or four highlights for me, and they are not exactly the ones you would imagine.

Spoilers after the break...

The first story by Kevin Eastman is in the Mirage section of the book but... well... I'll leave at that... I wouldn't call it the Mirage we knew.

There is a story by Lawson and Lavigne with the Rat King that... it's fun. But, you know... I wouldn't even try to fit it in canon... the amount of continuity physics you need to bend to place this story is not worth the time. Just enjoy as a new story by these two iconic Mirage artists.

This other story by Tristan H. Jones and Paul Harmon requires more analysis. I'll revisit it on my gang wars video and try to give it more context... but unfortunately... it's just too vague. All I can say for sure is that it happens in the future of that incomplete saga, but the narrator just takes too many artistic choices to be taken at face value.

Also... I believe this is the first official (frontal) appearance of Agent Bishop (unless I got the character wrong, but Jones already tried to introduce him in this saga). I think he is still holding on to it, and I really hope he gets to tell his story. I wouldn't mind a mini-series... just saying!

The Volume 3 story was... not for me. The dialogue alone felt tired.

The Archie adventure was short, eventful, and funny... and it looks amazing too!

In just four pages a new character was introduced and... a new love story was implied! And it's not just a gratuitous cameo... this is a funny sequence.

The Saturday Morning Adventures (the de facto 87 story) looks amazing as usual, but I didn't find the story that interesting. However, it started a theme that would run across most of the stories in this special after this one: Master Splinter.

The 2003 story is a... loose canon?

Hun is Slash, and Shredder is back... so make of that what you want. All I'm going to say is that this felt a lot like watching the beginning of a 2003 episode, with the narration setting the tone.

The 2012 story was one of the least interesting in the previews, but I have to say... it was probably one of the best. It brought back a villain and it technically serves as an excuse to continue the series?

But to me the best thing about the story is the art. I am surprised Ciro Nieli didn't do more comic book work for the Turtles all these years. In fact, if they somehow decided to continue the 2012 universe in 2D in this style... I'm all in. Well, who am I kidding... I would be in anyway... but this looks amazing.

Andy Suriano did probably the most interesting story in the book. Now, I am not sure if his style doesn't translate well to static panels or what the problem is with the comic format... but it doesn't matter... this small story brought in a lot of things that ended on the editing floor after the show's second season was reduced to a few more episodes. There was a rumor about a female turtle, and not only it is here in all its glory, but there is also a brother?

And come on... it's so Lou Jitsu to die with a cliffhanger.

There are two IDW stories. One is another Splinter story, but the other one is perhaps one of the best in this book.

The Ronda Pattison story takes place just before the Armageddon game, and it shows the five turtles in full sibling dynamic (even Jennika). It was refreshing to see these turtles having fun for a change.

There are no stories by the new team, but... well... that's just starting.

GUYS. I just read a freaking amazing batman issue, that I think everyone would enjoy, so I'm gonna try to spread the word.

It's from Batman issue #150, the main story called "Be Better". It's written by Chip Zdarsky, with pencilling by Denys Cowan and Jorge Jiménez, and was released on July 3rd, 2024.

This story is a great character piece, exploring Gotham City from the street-level perspective of somebody who actually lives there. And specifically, it's the life of a low-level thug-for-hire that actively contributes to the suck and corruption of the city.

If you're someone who doesn't know a lot of Batman lore, you know that thing that happens, how if you think about the Batman world for longer than like 5 seconds, you get a lot of practical questions about how everything works? "Okay, but like, why do people even work for these villains? Or, what's the thug employment scene like? Or, how does literally nobody know Batman's identity??" Well, all of these questions and more are explored and/or answered.

This story is a great way to expose people to Batman comics without overwhelming them. I read a lot of Batman comics, and to be honest, a lot of storylines I don't even care about, because they're just like.. action movie fight scenes. And idk about others, but to me, that stuff gets really boring really quickly, and sometimes I straight up just skip over pages of fight scenes if there's no interesting dialogue going on. The Batman stories I REALLY care about, are the ones like this, that explore the mindset, experiences, and perspectives of the characters.

It has *practically* zero required reading, or previous knowledge required. I know, literally the first page has an editor's note referencing events from a recent storyline called the Gotham War, but ignore it. Literally just ignore it, I promise you, it doesn't matter at all going forward. It also references recent stuff going on with the Penguin, but you don't really need to know that either. Stay strong, shrug your shoulders, ignore it, and just keep reading, I know you can do it.

The story will introduce you to some characters that you're not gonna recognize, and you may feel like you're supposed to know their deal, but you're not. Half of the guys introduced are new throwaway characters created just for this one comic, and you don't really need to know anything about anyone that pops up, beyond the most basic core Batman lore that everyone knows.

A big challenge for people curious about Batman comics is that it's really difficult to find an easy, accessible, current, modern, interesting entry point. And I really think this is one of them.

If you ask a Batman fan where to start reading, nine times out of ten they're gonna tell you to start with Batman #404, which is the first chapter of the Batman: Year One storyline, which is undeniably phenomenal, but it was published back in 1986, and lots of people don't want to start with a story from nearly 40 years ago. Also, it's a take on the Batman origin story. Everybody knows how Batman started. Maybe they don't want to start with an origin story, maybe they want a story set in the present, that is perfectly standalone.

So yeah, pleaseeeee everyone check this out! Not just new readers either! 10/10, amazing story.

(Also, I'm only talking about the main story, not the backup story that starts in the last quarter of the issue that's called "Brick by Brick", that one is very caught up in current lore, and is Very Scary, stay away from that one.)

It's been 10 years since I first watched Frozen!🌻❄️⛏️☃️🦌

November 20th, 2014. It seems like forever ago. I remember watching this movie through my desktop ASUS PC (remember when computers used to have actual DVD-drives?) on a by today's standards pretty crappy Philips monitor. It didn't matter. The movie was like nothing else I had seen before. Even though I don't even have a sibling and can't fully relate to the conflict, Anna and Elsa's adventure is IMO one of the best stories ever told💕

I was 22 back then. A young man and totally in love with this Disney movie. Now I'm 32 and it continues to be among my favourite movies of all time. Even now, ten years later, I still live and breathe Frozen every day! It is a part of who I became and it is the way I wish to remain 😄

What is this?

Goldenheart Week is a celebration of our favorite gay knights, in both their movie and comic incarnations. We're hoping to encourage new fanworks of all kinds!

When is it?/Why those dates?

We will be reblogging tagged posts from June 27 - July 3, 2024. June is Pride Month, June 30th was the Netflix release date for Nimona (and is the midpoint of Goldenheart Week), and July is Disability Pride Month.

Are there prompts?

What can I make?

I sometimes stumble across hidden gems from the past by chance. That’s how I found this article from August 2016. [I've put a link to the full article below, but first I'd love to share my thoughts on it with you]

*** *** *** I think this is a great example of the misinformation that's been spread by PR about Cait and Sam over the years.

But what I find most interesting is what isn't there. And then there’s also my absolute favourite thing to do: photo analysis.

So let’s get started with the photo analysis.

The article was published in August 2016, but the photos of Caitríona in the loose yellow dress were taken during a photo shoot for Comic-Con International 2014 at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego on 27 July 2014.

So, these are photos from two years ago in relation to the publication date of the article. Why, oh why? I'm just wondering, were there no other pictures of Caitriona available at the time? I’m sure there were plenty! Or was it more about the voluminous yellow dress she wore back in July 2014? Do you remember her frilly dress at The Paley Center on 6 June 2016? Oh, what a challenge for the PR department! Wouldn't it be better to say that Caitriona doesn't like fitted clothes? And that she always wore loose dresses, not just in 2016?

As someone who likes to think there's more to the story, I'm in favour of the dress issue. 😉😉😉

The article in the in-flight magazine of Irish Aer Lingus airlines is said to be about the Outlander series, and the only photo from the set is of Claire and Frank. Poor Cait, stuck alone in solitude in 2016. What a disgrace!

1 – How did you discover the show in the first place? Did it inspire you to create an OC right away, or later on?

I think I've always been mildly aware of the Simpsons (given how prominent it is in meme circles on the internet) and I had a... Let's just say mild obsession with Steamed Hams during its hey day back in 2018-2019, it wasn't until July of 2024 when I started getting obsessed with it again after diving into Big Iron memes that I started getting curious about Chalmers and Skinner thanks to YouTube recommending me a clip of Chalmers showing off his Honda to Skinner, and then my darling mutual @hunsa-jars found the ship wiki for ChalmSkinn, and then I watched Road to Cincinnati, and the rest is historyyyy....... Yaaaaayyyyyy!!!

It took me a while to get inspired to make an OC because I have to look at the landscape of the media I'm getting into and see the sorts of characters that haven't been done yet. It always has to be a character I thought would be an interesting concept or worth a good story to be told.

My thought process with Delilah stemmed from looking at the assortment of love interests Skinner had and thought "You know, wouldn't it be funny if Seymour had like, one girlfriend who really really wanted to kill his mom for him, because Agnes is kind of the root issue of all his concrete relationship troubles."

And so, a sexy undercover Slavic spy is born! I wanted to base her off my own real life experiences with Slavic culture that aren't really represented in American media - so rather than making her Russian I chose to make her Yugoslavian, or rather, an ethnic Macedonian from Yugoslavia before it broke apart. Her fake identity as a Western German immigrant is also inspired by my own mom's childhood in Germany.

I thought basing her off the flirtatious female communist spy trope you see in mostly British media would make for an interesting foil to Skinner's character as a Special Forces soldier who fought in Vietnam. Skinner is depicted as more explicitly anti-communist in the comics, and a post-Cold War Romeo and Juliet layer on top of the whole murder girlfriend story would be an interesting way to explore Skinner's connection to his national identity and whatever ideology compelled him to volunteer for the war effort in the first place, as well as present a more complex look at the other side of the conflict.

14 – How would you consider your OC’s role in the show? Are they a major character like the Simpson family? Are they more likely to just be seen in the background? Or something in between?

Delilah (or rather, Матеа), would be a one-off love interest for Skinner, likely somewhere before he started dating Edna in season 8. And I KNOW the show has an epidemic of one-off love interests especially for female characters and god do I wish they'd utilize characters like Mindy or Gloria more besides relationship stuff but Delilah's backstory is not exactly built to withstand the test of time, just like Skinner's backstory as a Vietnam war veteran (in fact we're inching closer to a state where him being an Iraq war vet would be a more logical backstory, which is terrifying to think about. He's be born in 1980 if he's still 44 y/o today).

If you really want to push me to come up with an idea for a re-appearance I think she'd come back as a substitute teacher again after having broken out of federal prison under a new identity and then becoming a semi-regular background character for space nerd stuff.

15 – If they were in the show, what would be your OC’s main gimmick? Similarly, what would more likely happen to them in an episode?

Again, Delilah would be a one-off love interest, but in terms of gimmicks... I dunno, what would really count as a gimmick? I think her struggling to regain a regular life in the US as a Slavic immigrant would be a fun, if sad, turn of events. She'd probably resort to threatening violence at the mildest inconvenience too, I bet.

16 – What would an episode centered on your OC look like? Are there specific themes that would be explored through your OC's life?

I think Delilah would be introduced as a regular substitute teacher from formerly West Germany filling in for Edna or Hoover because they're sick or hungover or in some other kind of school-ditching nonsense, or perhaps the school finally gains the budget to add an actual specialized teacher to the language lab, it doesn't really matter.

The episode continues with Delilah trying to seduce Skinner into giving her "special benefits", like a pay raise ("Damn capitalists and their tiny wages for educators!") where she finds out about Skinner's issues pertaining to his mom, like her freakish control over his love life (or lack thereof). Delilah makes the connection that she needs to get rid of the problem that causing Skinner to not solve her problem, and that would be killing Agnes, and therein lies the main conflict of the episode.

The episode would be about Delilah trying to worm her way into Skinner's pants and convince him to get rid of Agnes from his life under the guise of regular after-school hangouts as friends or as staff bonding activities, only to be charmed by his nerdy sincerity outside of work and the motivation shifting to killing Agnes because she's such a horrible mother to this poor, sweet man.

She'd find out about his interest in space which she shares and they'd go to a space museum and have so much fun there. She'd be such a Bad Girl about it to contrast Skinner's goody-two-shoes attitude, breaking in after operating hours and guiding him by the hand and bypassing the security systems with whatever Russian technology she still has in her arsenal, and when they have a very touching moment looking at the stars and Delilah revealing some of her heart to him, she drops the suggestion to Skinner that he should dispose of Agnes, which he's immediately taken aback by and declines, awkwardly leaving her afterwards.

The sunk-cost fallacy of their relationship pushes Delilah to do the job herself, because really, this whole time, she's been projecting her own parental issues onto Skinner. Her own father was an abusive man and the government killing him for treason against the state was the best thing to have happened to her. She thinks Seymour should be afforded the same relief from his own mother, too.

He's such a simple man who seems happy and given determination to live by the simplest pleasures and she wants that, she wants the same thing, she's felt so lost since the USSR dissolved while she was doing espionage in the USA and being stuck there ever since, she's always felt lost in her national identity since it was expected of her to conform to the identity of "Yugoslavic" which was dominated by the Serbs in her territory, it was Macedonian nationalism that compelled her father to commit treason, after all, but now she has no identity to be proud of. Every nation she could call allegiance to has been put to shame, every name she's given herself was fabricated for the same of those disgraced nations, and she can't even use her real name in fear of the enemy government punishing her.

She just wants a life spent on something that made her genuinely happy, and spending time with a fellow nerd at heart was the happiest she's felt in a while. So yes, she'll kill Agnes even if she has to climb the roof and point a gun at her herself. Skinner's puppy eyes, however, convinces her otherwise, and he seems to express enough sympathy despite his panic to call her down. But before she could make a change in her life, the police and federal agents find her and arrest her, never to be heard from again.

The Balkans have always been in a constant back and forth of territory and national identity, being invaded by empire after empire after united states and even still we fight eachother on borders, all the while the US has always stood firmly under that red, white and blue flag by comparison. It'd be a story about the identity crises of many slavs that had to deal with the aftermath of the Soviet Union falling apart in the 90s, having to deal with all the trauma that it brought and couldn't possibly heal soon enough.

Матеа had trained and lied and learned and killed and done so many things only for her nation to Lose, and that's such a massive blow to everything she built with her life. Everything she did suddenly became worthless, and she wanted to reach for and live vicariously through someone else who was happier by comparison, who had just one problem with a simple solution - if only true happiness could be achieved by killing one single person.

Retrospective (2023-2024)

Given that it's been way over a year since I came up with the idea behind this AU (when it was still a take of another AU funny as that sounds), I think I should somewhat reflect on how it felt like getting to this point To the point of making the AU have its own identity, making it in the first place, etc. And given Halloween is coming up and I have something special planned for it, reflecting before that comes seems like a good thing to do To be honest, the creation of this AU was a strange one. I originally just made the designs and nothing else somewhere at the start of July of 2023. The reasoning behind it was... somewhat spite, I guess? Back when the AU was still JUST a take on Taletwist, I happened to stumble upon the wiki of the AU, which had a really funny fan made image of the characters, but it also motivated me to attempt to do a take on the designs based on the roles of the AU

After a few days of spriting, I eventually ended up with these, which...... I guess aren't THAT bad, it's just weird to look back on After making the sprites, I eventually ended up doing far more bigger concepts for situations that could happen, like the Mew Mew equivalent fight or the Amalgamates Until I eventually ended up creating a proper blog and Soundcloud for it as a whole I had a few friends to help me with the OST, and the original plan was just to make it a Soundcloud AU, since during the time I made it a lot of Soundcloud AUs didn't really focus properly on handling areas well, which was what I was trying to do with my take on the AU Many months pass of posting on the Soundcloud, I can't really say much here... Although I DID get ideas for the Deltarune equivalent around that time, so that's pretty cool? I still didn't have a FULL idea for it though, I just knew that Soltitureil (Ruins Dummy Ghost) and Shyren would be main characters Oh, I guess this was also around the time where I decided to change the designs. so, none of the ones shown above are up to date anymore, oops! But hey, that's just how it is sometimes. The more you work on so At some point, like a few months ago when I ended up getting to the Snowdin equivalent on the Soundcloud OST, I thought to myself "What if I made this a comic?", the issues there was, I couldn't do that. I was still under the name of "TALETWIST", and I didn't want to overshadow the original thing, since despite it being long abandoned, Taletwist still wasn't an AU I owned, but someone elses I had a few discussions with some friends until I eventually decided to turn it into its own thing, which you know now as "TWISTED WILL". This is also when I started putting more thought into the Deltarune equivalent, coming up with more concepts for it and proper ideas, you can probably see that with both the Fluke and Hailey concepts (both being Darkners) I showed, alongside Sol being a dog in the Dark World, Shyren's Dark World design and Darkner Mew Mew being headless. Oh, and Lepidoshy (the Whimsun) (And if you're wondering, Twisted Will is kinda like a... a series? That's kinda why the Undertale equivalent has "A GREAT TALE! ! !" as a subtitle. although it's only the Deltarune and Undertale equivalent, but I won't be touching the Deltarune equivalent in terms of any sort of proper story anytime soon, but I still enjoy making concepts for it) Anywho, after a few days of turning it into an original thing (which I was pretty nervous about), I ended up turning it into a proper comic, or well, at least something that you can read. It is a Google Docs thing and not a full-on sprite comic, but that's because I thought it'd be the easiest way to see it And up until recently, I also decided to make "Side-Stories", to both help with world building and also just to have more interactions shown with characters outside of just what happens in the main comic And now we're here! It's honestly been an incredible journey getting to this point, I couldn't thank everyone who followed this project enough... At some point, I thought it'd get demotivated of this, like I did with a lot of my other projects But never once have I felt like I didn't want to work on this thing For some reason, I really want to finish it. And even if I won't be able to finish the entire OST, the entire main comic, or whatever else I come up with in the future, I at least want to get to a point where I feel satisfied with it. My goal, even before the rebrand, even before making the OST, was always to at least get up until the Neutral Omega equivalent fight. I've had the design for it finished back when I first started the AU, it was one of the first few things I did. And not once did I feel like I could improve upon it or change it, it's one of the few things that I feel confident with keeping the same and showing everyone, even if the road to get there takes a while

I still have so MUCH more I want to show, but I am still just a person, if something takes me longer than I'd hope, it's not because I wanted it to take longer, it's due to things out of my control. But even so... I'll keep on doing what I love doing, and, hopefully, you'll enjoy seeing it, too And if you don't, that's fine! This AU isn't for everyone, I'm not expecting everyone to like it. But for the people that do, I hope it'll be worth the wait <3

Professor X is coming to Fortnite [THEORY]

Before I get into this. This is just a THEORY and my delusions, so please don't take this so seriously. I made this for funsies. I'm gonna try my best to explain this!!

[CAUTION] SPOILERS FOR XMEN 97'

On March 20th 2024, Xmen 97' got released and later in the eps, we can see that Prof x came back. With the return of him, I believe that he would play some kind of important role in season 2. For this we might get a Professor X skin.

After 4 months->

We all know that Magneto got released in the fortnite battlepass on July 2nd 2024.

As a teasing for more Xmen skins and the Marvel season coming to Fortnite. In his game description "Master of Magnetism, leader of the Brotherhood of Mutants and one time friend to CHARLES XAVIER." Which might indicate, that Professor X is coming to Fortnite.

Later at the end of July (27th July 2024) came the Deadpool and Wolverine bundle to Fortnite for the film Deadpool and Wolverine. August 10th came 2-3 Xmen bundle 1. (the newest one) which includes: Julibee, Cyclops, Colossus. With other xmen bundle. I think, there were 2 old xmen bundles that returned (As far as I can remember. I can't find a web where it shows fn shop history). Rogue and Gambit as a bundle and Domino, Cable and Psylocke as a bundle (both old bundles) and with the return of Jean Grey (telepath) in the shop. On the 15th of August, the 2nd season of Marvel got released. In the battle pass, Emma Frost (telepath) and Peelverine (wolverine) got added into fn.

Emma frost, Dark Phoenix, Magneto, Jubilee, Cyclops, Colossus, Rogue, Gambit, Deadpool (and all his variants), Meowtooth (Sabretooth), Mystique, Storm, Cable, Domino, Psylocke

We have 3 telepaths in game (psylocke, Jean, Emma). Why shouldn't there be a Professor x skin? He's literally the OG xmen, the founder of xmen and a well known character in the Marvel/X-Men community. A lot of ppl grew up watching the xmen series/movies and definitely know about prof x.

Timeline & Prediction of his release

I do not know for sure, what Marvel will do in 2026 with xmen. But it's rumored, that a xmen film will be released.

His skin will probably release after the X-Men 97' S2.

"But how is fortnite gonna add him into the game??"

I'm pretty sure that fornite can figure it out themselves. They are literally a million dollar company.

I have a few ideas how they might add prof x in the game.

1. Krakoa Professor X

The obvious one being Krakoa Charles. This is literally perfection, an amazing skin for Professor X. If they were to add this version of Professor X, I think they would want to add Krakoa Magneto too, as a bundle together.

We have seen adaptation of this version in game. For an example: Contest of Champions and Future Fight (mobile game).

They can also add the cerebro sword as Charles's pickaxe in game.

They can also add for both of them the krakoan Flower pot and that one tea pot (idk what's it called again correct me if I'm wrong), which Magneto used in POX, as their backbling.

Problems that might appear:

"Magneto already has a skin in the game. Why would they add him again?"

I'm pretty sure that fornite has added variants of skins in game. For an example: Deadpool [Deadpool pen & ink, Cuddlepool, Fishpool, ...]

"Didn't the krakoan age come to an end? Why would they want to add the skins?"

Yes, it did. I'm pretty sure that fornite has added Marvel comic skins, on which the series already ended.

"They wouldn't make much money off it"

I think that they would make a lot of money. Since the release of the new movie Deadpool and Wolverine, a lot of ppl (including myself) starting to get into Xmen and are interested in the comics. Most ppl recommends the krakoan age for newer xmen fan, who's trying to get into xmen comics.

In 2019 Marvel has sold 185,630 copies of HOX/POX.

Mind you that it was only in 2019, we do not know for sure. How many copies they've sold at the moment and there are many ppl reading it on marvel unlimited or on some illegal web.

Fortnite is adding anything BUT Professor X. I FEEL ROBBED

Personally I don't want to see a skin of James Mcavoy as Charles Xavier. I can not imagine Charles with hair, I'm sorry😭😭 I would feel disappointed, if James Mcavoy as Charles get added into the game. I would still buy it regardless. 😓
