Owl House: Who was your favorite character at the start and at the end?

I FINALLY FINISHED THE SERIES! So can finally answer this

Okay, so at the start, it was Eda, of course. I would be so surprised if Eda wasn't everyone's favourite at the start, and to a degree, she is still my favourite. I still aspire to be Eda when I grow up, she is my icon

BUT NOW, I have like, several favourites for many different reasons.

Like Hunter, King, The Collector and Willow are just MY BABIES! THEY ARE MY KIDDOS! I just want to adopt all 4 of them, for different reasons but I do! Willow is quite like me and I just want to shield her from shit, whereas Hunter is completely unlike me, but I still saw his struggles and how difficult his life is AND JUST WANT TO SHIELD HIM TOO! The Collector, for obvious reasons, he is just a kiddo! And he did bad things but they didn't know they were bad! They just need love goddamn it! And King, the little guy that since the beginning I have just wanted to adopt and hug for the rest of my life

However, I also love Eda, Darius, Lilith, Alador and Camila for being parental figures to different people, and being the guardians I wanted in life! they mean the world to me, they are so funny but also adorable to me

Gus and Hooty i adore for their one liners! I NEED MORE PEOPLE TO LOVE THEM AS MUCH AS I DO

AND RAINE! AND EBER! AND, literally any character I have talked about, they are beloved by me

However my top favourites (I won't be able to choose just one, i am not a decisive person!) are probably Eda, Alador, Darius, Camila, Luz (SHE IS AMAZING OKAY), Gus and King. The collector is up there too but you know. AND THAT IS A LOT OF PEOPLE BUT I have a big heart (i have been described as heartless before but shush) so they can all fit there

What if the Owl house Character's Where pokemon trainers Visual teams part 2: Background characters

So I did Pokemon team collages for the Hexsquad and posted it a couple days ago... as a test to see if TOH fandom was still liking/rebloging content. I was thrilled to find out yes. In addition to a fresh stream of likes I got some people asking where Vee was, and what pokemon she would have. Not to worry; Vee is on this list, as well as 7 other important characters, whom I think would make great pokemon trainers

Quick pause to admit that I was only able to come up with partial teams for the second half of this list, and I welcome suggestions on good pokemon to round out their teams... (I think Viney should have a Pinsir, so she can train it alongside Skara and Heracross. But I am struggling to come up with a reason as to why Viney would want a Pinsir).

So I heard in a YT video some time ago that Ed and Em were supposed to have a butterfly and a moth for palismen, but Dana never decided who would have which, and idk if that’s true, but I like the idea, so I went with it.

I’m going with Em having the moth and Ed having the butterfly, both to subvert the expectation that the girl would get the butterfly, and also because it does actually fit better with their personalities, plus Ed is the younger sibling and butterflies are the younger species (and it seems they evolved from moths).

Also I realized that the ADHD symbol is a butterfly, and I can see the twins being neurodivergent- So I have a new headcanon.

(Maybe Em as well, I haven’t decided yet)

Thinking about how when we first meet Ed and Em, they kinda seemed like petty bullies.

Like, sure Amity was already established as kind of a bitch at this point, but trying to humiliate their younger sister just because they got caught for cutting class still seemed unnecessarily mean.

But like, we hadn't met Odalia yet. "Tattling" on them to her is a whole different story.

It's not like they were gonna get a slap on the wrist. She probably locks them in like, a psychic nightmare world as "time out" or something equally horrific.

And Odalia was absolutely trying to raise Amity to be her "mini me." Ed and Em were basically watching their little sister get dragged down this path of demeaning cruelty.

And while their solution (humiliating her) wouldn't've actually worked, it was actually kinda coming from a good place.

They didn't want her to be less up tight about stuff just to bring her down a level or make their own lives easier.

They didn't want to watch her turn into Odalia.

And sure, they were probably being a little petty with the diary thing, out of resentment from whatever aforementioned Psychic mind prison I can only assume Odalia puts her kids in when they get in trouble.

That's why, once they realized Amity had a crush on Luz, they immediately latched onto that. Because they knew that was another way to help alter the course Odalia was trying to keep her on. And they absolutely realized that they were about to take it too far with the diary thing.

Honestly I think the twins probably harbor some kind of guilt for not standing up for her and Willow. Because that was the first example we get to see of Odalia asserting her will over Amity.

We know the guilt haunted Amity. But like, the twins would've been like, maybe 10-12 when that happened?

And they watched their little sister completely break her best friend's heart, and then turn around and become her school bully.

And idk but that must have really messed with them too. Knowing what their mom is like, and we can only imagine what trauma they had already endured.

Seeing Amity go from a sweet, goofy kid with a deep, meaningful friendship. To a shallow, mean spirited bully who only cares about status must've really felt like they were losing her.

The diary thing would've been like, what 6ish years later? And it feels like it was a last resort, because they could see how she was becoming Odalia, and they thought something Big could knock her off that path.

OK so a friend of Mine made me do Look "the owlhouse" with her.

Here is my conclusion 'till season 2 Episode 5 (I guess):

It's nice to watch.

Nothing I really need but for a lazy day it's a perfect series.

Yes, it's full of clichés. But also you have nice Messages all over and the characters are cute and worth it.

Also it's gay and I Love it!

The series also kinda reminded me of a Harry Potter fanfic: A "normal human being" coming in a total new world full of new Things and Magic. They wanna lern everything about it.

Also:

- Luz is Like Harry → she gets a teacher and a "pet". Found two new Friends who are also outsided Like her, she gets Special treats (Like being the only one in every magic class), have an opponent, which Turns Out to be good and have a crush on her.

- Amity would be Draco → I have Seen this in drarry fanfiction... Literally the Same plotline.

- Em and Ed are the Weasley twins.

By the way, my favourite Characters are: King, Emira&Edric and the Principal.

I mean King is literally an reinforcement of Bill cipher but with Amnesia and without His Powers and less insane. And yes I know I kinda think this Thing because of His voice, but it's Impossible for me to Not think about Bill cipher whenever I hear him speak. Also He loves death and Violence and is still anxious about it, which is literally me.

As I already Said Ed&Em are the Weasley twins. They Joke around, literally adopted the maincharacter and annoy their Younger sibling. They are Just great and I Love every Scene they're into.

And the Principal is also fantastic. He is relatable, sassy, have dry Humor, got attached to His students, Likes to have harmless Revenge, He can lose when He gets defeated and He is logical. Also I Like His demon-hat-palisman, it's really fancy.

So my conclusion: it's a good series, Worth to watch, when you have this Sense of Humor and Not being annoyed by clichés etc. The Characters being written good and relatable and it's cute.
