absolutely devoured Thunder and Shadow in a reread and God they really could have made the first 3 AVoS books into a whole arc. SO much happens and theres such huge time skips - TaA skips the entire leafbare they'd been discussing and fearing- and the pacing is so janky. They skim over what could be really good moments. ShadowClan's illness. WindClan's paranoia. Going on massive quests every couple chapters. Even in Shattered Sky they bring back fucking SkyClan while RiverClan is being occupied, and then Darktail is defeated and we all kinda agree the arc goes to shit. Soooo much happens in 1-3 they just skip over!!!!
#if they added more to the BG characters it could have carried#needletail in the kin would not ignore violetpaw in shadowclan u cud still have kin updates that way#also god needletails motivations/whatever are all over the plave. she hates clan cats but she wants violetpaw to be a warrior. she hates#rules and borders but she wants shadowclan to be the strongest clan ever. okay#but avos 1-3 is so strong you could make it a whole tense arc itd be great fr#more riverclan occupation more time spent on subplots dont timeskip all the time just fill thr gaps of what uve left#make darktail more of a threat and actually give him consistent motivations or make it obvs that he is just larping as a clan leader#aaaarghhh avos 1-3 i love u#cant wait to reread shattered sky
