More creative title pending. I don't bite, but I do tell awful puns. Ask me about Biology, History, Transformers, or Bionicle.

Upon further consideration
Starscream in heels is also Just Starscream.
Roodaka is Starscream in heels.

The point isnt who would win, the point is shenanigans.
That said. Saiyaman and the Sailors comparing notes on poses
This character is stronger! No THIS character is stronger. Fuck that man, I'm sick of that bullshit.
I don't want to know whether goku would beat superman, but I DO want to know how clark kent explains why a japanese man in a bright orange gi just teleported into his cubicle and excitedly asked if he wanted to spar. Screw fight scenes, GIVE ME SHENANIGANS YOU COWARDS

My autistic brother created a new family Christmas tradition
Okay, so last year, my mom bought this Christmas moose that she lovingly named Barry
This is him
Cute, right?
Well, for whatever reason only known to my brother, he decided that he wanted to put Barry in different rooms of our house and it usually scares the shit out of whomever happens upon Barry; usually the person who finds him is the person that my brother wanted to scare.
So far, Barry has been found
On our dining room table
On my dad's side of my parents' bed
In my parents' closet
Outside their bedroom door (at 5 in the morning and scared my mother shitless)
Near the kitchen door
Near my fucking bed
At the bottom of my sister's stairwell
In our bathroom
And down the hallway
This has gone on for 9 days and it doesn't seem to show signs of stopping. Most of the time we know who gets Barry because it's always followed with a very loud "FUCKING BARRY!!!!!"
My brother is the funniest fucking person I know.

Random thought.
Onewa is absolutely the King Bumi of the turaga. (in terms of being suprisingly buff and scarily strong despite his appearance)
Pohatu tries the "I'll Take it from here!" thing once.
Onewa looks at him, shrugs his coat off, and beats the Rahi’s infected mask into pieces himself to prove a point.

In 1808 one of the few instances of martial law was declared in Australia, after the military overthrew the government in response to news that they would no longer be paid in alcohol.
The military junta ruled the colony for 6 months, with their main impact being the opening of 90 new liquor stores.

Thoughts on Love (as a concept) in Bionicle
So we all know the famous line "Romance isn't canon", which thankfully short circuited a lot of would be shipping wars, but...
Love is a complicated term, and it encompasses a lot of different things, so what is love? (Baby don't hurt me)
Is it brotherly love?
Is it love like you feel for a child?
The love you feel for a friend?
The love you feel for days when the weather is just right outside?
I'd like to posit that Matoric doesn't have a word for "love" like we do in English, in the same way that Russian doesn't have a word for "blue".
Instead of one catch-all word that encompasses any kind of affectionate relationship, there's multiple words that each describe a different way that someone can feel for another. There's a lot of languages tha actually do this, the one I'm personally most familiar with being greek, so I'm borrowing a bit from them (while showing my inner classical history nerd).
This is still a ramble, so take this with a grain of salt. I'm not looking to start a fight here.
The first type of relationship I think matoran would consider would be one of Selfless Love (Agape in Greek)
This would be a feeling or relationship characterized by caring for another or others unconditionally. Literally "Wanting the best for another person" This would be the care a Toa would feel for the matoran they protect, or how they might describe how Mata Nui feels towards the inhabitants of the matoran universe, or even Matoro's sacrifice in bringing Mata Nui from the brink of death. (In Christianity, the word Agape was originally used to describe the love god feels for humanity, so that's not too big a stretch in my opinion.)
The next type of relationship matoran might have is, Well. An appreciation of beauty, let's call it. (Words hard. Sue me.) This is a platonic version of the Greek word Eros. which is usually translated into passion or lust, but I'm not touching that one with a 5 bio pole.
Unlike humans, Matoran might not attribute this to other people, usually. Let's take Hafu, as an example. (Hear me out) Every Hafu Original™ is a symbol of the passion he feels his art, and the beauty it expresses. An appreciation of beauty for its own sake.
The third kind is Brotherly Love. I probably don't need to go too in depth on this one. You've probably also heard it as Philia, or filial love.
It's the casual affection shared between teammates and close friends. The "no one picks on em but me" and "You're my best friend even though I want to shake you like a ragdoll sometimes" kind of love.
I see this as the dynamic shared between Jaller and Takua in the Mask of Life movie, or the dynamic between most Toa Teams as a whole. (Not the metru though. they need therapy.)
The fourth one is also a familial kind of love, but unlike the third it's less of a sibling/friend affection and more the affection one has for those in their care, an almost parental love if you will. similar to the concept of the Greek word storge.
Since Bionicles don't really have parents (citation needed), this would probably manefest itself in relationships between mentor and student. Its the empathy and compation they feel for someone they're helping to grow and guide. It's how the Turaga feel for the matoran that they lead and council, and especially the toa that they play the wise old master archetype for. It's how Helryx probably feels about Krakua, or how (and they'll never admit it) the Toa Nuva might feel about Takanuva.
The fifth one is the one probably viewed in a negative light by most matoran, and that's self love (philautia in Greek)
The most extreme version of this is obviously Makuta Teridax, who's obsessed with himself and his own ego to the near exclusion of all else. (If it pleases me I must have more, if it displeases me than it must be destroyed as soon as possible, preferably in a manner that enhances my reputation.)
However, on the healthier end of this, we have Pohatu, who if we take The Word of Greg™ on how the shadow toa fight was supposed to go down, has self worth issues that he combats by just- taking care of himself. giving himself a pep talk every morning, and having simple self compassion. (This baby, I love himb...)
There's also the Greek concept of Xenia, but that mostly translates into morally-obligated or ritualistic Hospitality (of the kind where a person invokes hospitality and it is Taken Very Seriously)
It's pragmatic, ritualized, very formal, and it centers around reciprocal genorosity and gift exchange, where hospitality towards forigners and guests is seen as a moral obligation.
Think of beauty and the beast, where an old woman asked the prince for hospitality and he told her to get lost, and then she revealed she was magic and turned him into a monster for being a dick, or of the baker's-dozen of myths where a vagabond asks for hospitality from someone poor, and after showing hospitality, the vagabond reveals that ACTUALLY they're [insert deity here] and the host gets a magic prize for passing the morality test.
In a broader historical context, it's been used to frame political alliances when it was invoked between leaders....
...Which, in hindsight, probably does a lot to explain whatever the karzahni is going on between Sidorak and Roodaka (but I like to observe that dynamic from a distance, thank you very much and preferably from the safety of a bunker as well).
If anyone wants to conlang these into matoric, that'd be neat. but again, it's just a ramble.
