Hi there, everyone :)

New Year, New Releases!

There’s not a lot of poly poses out there, so I decided to make some with the help from my wonderfully talented friend @/truecolors.sims! She gave me an idea and her beautiful simmies and I tried to bring it all to life hehe

This pose pack includes 3 sets of poses for 3 sims with 2 variations each (happy and sad version, so you can mix and match them) bringing a total number of poses to 18.

You need to place the Teleporter in the middle of a double bed.

As you download the poses, you may notice that I changed the way I make the .package file. From now on, you’ll be able to see how the whole pose looks, as well as each individual ones (I hope this makes sense lol)

Hi!! :] For the mod, I’ve noticed you’ve been tagging your answers to asks as “zora salazar”, “Epithet Erased”, etc. Doing this can flood the tag with only your posts, and make it harder for people to find other posts. This would be fine in a bigger fandom, where there’s lots of posts consistently going to the tags, but it can eat up results in a smaller fandom like this.

Most rp and character blogs will have their own specific tags for things like that, so it doesn’t fill up tags with asks. I’d suggest reserving the tags I named above for things like art, writing, etc, or anything that’s very important.

im sick of hearing older fans complain about downpour actually. like... i know the influx of new fans is overwhelming, i know some things about the lore arent the best for some people! but its so exhausting to see people act gatekeepy about a game because of other older fans who made a fanproject (which was originally going to be FREE, people made this for FREE until videocult brought it in-house) which was a love-letter to this game. im sick of them treating it like some mod when it has been referred to as an official alternative canon.

maybe you enjoyed the days when the rain world tag was flooded with unrelated aesthetic posts and other fans were impossible to find, maybe you enjoyed the days where the only fandom was either the main world server, the subreddit, or your group of friends who all got into it at the same time, but buddy, i cannot understand being angry about your experience no longer being limited to those options.

i know the community might have been more tightly-knit to you when barely anyone knew about the game, but a fandom is ultimately a community of people who love a piece of media. newer fans belong here just as anyone else does. the best thing you can do is make newer fans feel as welcomed as you did.

On tumblr mobile if I hit someone’s icon it takes me to their page and I gotta scroll down which would take forever to see everything they posted &desktop has the pages?so how do I get the side view thing you mentioned?I feel like there was a post awhile ago that shows this for looking at your own likes page but it makes it easier to see everything …might actually have to quit sims sadly I can never be happy with it ;( finding cc is hell when it’s not just in one place &like why can’t there be a mod in the game ?for people to upload there cc into the game so nobody gotta waste time searching and downloading the cc like then ya could select which cc you want to even use and see all the cc created…

Idk, I don’t rlly mind clicking through the pages, bc I’ve been doing it for forever, and a lotta ppl prefer it over endless scroll on themes, so it’s pretty common to see when looking at someone’s actual blog.

Though truly, it sounds like you’re more fed up with looking for cc, than you are with tumblr’s UI, to which I do not blame you. I can’t stand it either a lot of the time, which is why finding a go-to ccfinds blog is so crucial to keep your sanity. EA doesn’t rlly give a damn to implement anything of that sort, let alone extend an arm to modders and mod users, bc if anything they just get blamed either way if something goes wrong, and with how buggy their games are I can’t imagine how swamped their help line is as it is. Plus, modding The Sims has been like this for a while tbh, it wasn’t much better and back then in my TS2 days, when everyone had their cc on obscure ass forums and websites that hardly worked, but at least it didn’t have the add on of subscription costs, and timed exclusives.

So go find you a ccfinds blog, preferably one with a rlly good tags system so you can sort out only what you need when you need it. Then get into the habit of checking it daily or weekly so you don’t miss anything, and then end up having to spend hours looking for it, and sending wcif’s. These blogs work hard to do a lot of the find it work for you, so send them a message showing your appreciation from time to time. ✌️

Either way, between all the searching, downloading, installing, and organizing, modding this game is a process, and a fucking miserable one, and I absolutely get why ppl just choose to go without it.

I was in a doodling mood this weekend, so here’s my Herald/Raven fankid Aquamarine. 

I ended up trying a slightly different shading technique with this, trying to use a darker version of the main color, and while I think it came out well on the boots/dress and maybe the skin, I don’t think it worked well with the hair.

This picture was originally part of a group set of fankids I was going to draw, as I’ve been planning a big fankid fic recently and wanted an easier way to imagine what everyone looks like, but then I wasn’t in the mood to draw 6 more characters after this so I decided just to post Aquamarine separately. And since she’s being posted separately, I decided to go ahead and fill out that fun fankid ask game for her, too, under the cut.

Name: Aquamarine Duncan 

Gender: Cis Girl

General Appearance: Aquamarine has dark brown skin, light brown eyes, and purple hair, worn in a short afro style with a headband (so like this). She likes mixing simple designs and patterns together in her outfits, so her dresses and pixie boots tend to be rather plain while her headbands and leggings are more eye-catching. She likes more artsy-looking patterns for her headbands/leggings (such as the black-stemmed roses as seen in the picture above), while all of her dresses are a shade of blue with a small horn symbol stitched onto them somewhere. She’s noticeably tall for her age (based on Earth standards anyway).

Personality: Aquamarine is curiosity-driven and loves exploring the world around her, seemingly unable to sit still and often using her powers for everyday activities. She’s passionate about learning and gets frustrated when people are not as invested in a topic as she is. However, she is also easily bored, abandoning tasks and ideas if they do not immediately catch her attention or once she feels she cannot gain anymore knowledge from them. She views herself as highly mature and desires to emulate her parents, whom she adores to a point of taking any criticism or questioning of them as a personal attack.  

Special Talents Powers: Aquamarine can teleport, both in an ‘opening portals’ and a ‘moving oneself’ sense. 

She greatly prefers to teleport via portal - she can reach farther distances than when she teleports using her “silver shroud” as she calls it, as she does not having to physically see the location to open a portal to it, unlike with the other technique. She also enjoys using portals more often because they can be used for showing off her powers better - a shroud disappears once she reaches her location, while she can keep portals open longer. (There’s also the fact that she simply has more experience with portal opening, too; neither of her parents have consistently used their powers in years, but it’s a lot easier for Malcolm to pick up his horn again and teach her how to open portals than it is for Raven to suddenly start using the magic she’s been ignoring.)

There is still limits to this portal opening, of course. Though she can open portals entirely on her own, she can only do one at a time, and these tend to be small “personal portals”, so if she wants to take anyone else with her through the portals it takes a significant amount of energy from her. 

Aquamarine would also like to learn hand-to-hand combat from her parents, but due to how young she is they refuse to teach her. The closest she’s gotten to any sort of physical training is them teaching her how to land properly after jumping/teleporting from a high place.  

Who they like better: At first it would seem like Aquamarine likes Malcolm more, as she tends to quote him most often when she goes on her “this is why my parents are the smartest ever” lectures. However, this is merely because Malcolm gives his parental life advice in less philosophical and time-consuming ways than Raven does.

In reality, Aquamarine loves both of her parents fiercely and wouldn’t chose one of them over the other even if she had to.

Who they take after more: Physically speaking, it’s a joke in the family that Aquamarine is basically a mini-Malcolm, as almost all of her physical attributes came from him, with her hair color being the only immediately noticeable trait she got from Raven.

Personality-wise, she also seems to take more after Malcolm. She does have Raven’s enjoyment of learning, but even more obvious is that she has Malcolm’s extroverted nature and difficulty staying still, both in a “passion for travel” sense and a “gets antsy when unable to pace around” sense.

Personal Headcanon Random Fact: Aquamarine is a test tube baby, being conceived and grown in a machine.
