I think I’ve settled on the name Teal for the duck character/Disrespect Spirit (lol). They use they/them or thon pronouns.
#mod post#text post#teal#thon is one of the first known instances of someone purposely creating a new gender neutral pronoun set in English#American composer Charles Crozat Converse who proposed the pronoun set thon/thons/thonself in 1858#it was based on a contraction of that one#The thon pronoun was included in some dictionaries such as Webster's International Dictionary (1910)#as well as Funk & Wagnalls New Standard Dictionary (1913) and Webster's Second International (1959)#it's not widely used but i like the history behind it and how it was validated by dictionaries over a century ago#additionally Teal as a name has a fun double meaning#obviously it's a colour the character wears#but it's also a type of freshwater duck#also I can imagine Reef shouting TEAL when thon does something#it's short and sharp and easy to shout lol#LOTTA TAGS ON THIS ONE EH
