Okay, so I last updated this when we first heard about the bees. Let’s see how this goes.
(And yes I’m an extra ass bitch and they are gifs, because I’m a millennial and it’s funny.)

9-1-1 Bingo: Round 4 - 5 alarm fire
Tumblr media
the chief, the captain, and the probie
Tommy has always been a light sleeper.
His time in the army and years as a firefighter has ingrained in him the ability to wake in a microsecond and spring into action at the sound of an alarm, the vestiges of sleep draining from him in an instant the moment his eyes snap open.
He’s essentially programmed to recognize and respond to the sound of an alarm or bell, so when the screech of his home fire alarm penetrates through his sleep on a morning after a 24-hour shift, Tommy’s hands instantly start reaching for his uniform boots the second his head is off the pillow.
When they instead find slippers in the space next to his bed, Tommy blinks as his brain reboots. He’s not at harbour. He’s not in the barracks. It’s not the bell alerting the crew to an emergency.
It’s the smoke alarm in the kitchen.
The space in the bed next to him is empty, Evan having likely long been awake and going about his day while Tommy sleeps, and while he knows his husband is more than capable of handling any emergency they might find arising in the house Tommy’s heart still stutters.
“Evan?” Tommy calls, not pausing to stuff his feet into the slippers as he springs from the bed and out into the upstairs hallway. The sound of the alarm is louder out here and there’s a definite smell of smoke in the air.
It’s not the one that comes from a cigarette or a bonfire, and not one of burnt food. It’s the one that he would recognize anywhere, the one that he smells at least once, if not more, a shift. It’s the smell of burning wood and fabric. It’s the smell of a house fire.
“Evan!” He checks each of the upstairs rooms, finding them clear and empty of both fire and people, and flies down the stairs, his feet barely touching each one. The smell gets stronger but there’s little sign of smoke, only a very light misting in the air which tells him that, wherever the source of the fire is, it hasn’t spread too far yet. He still has time to contain it.
The first thing he and Evan had done when they’d moved in was place a small extinguisher and a fire blanket in every room of the house. They’ve both witnessed the devastation of household fires and how easily they can start and spread to the entire property, taking possessions and lives in the blink of an eye. Tommy grabs the first extinguisher he passes, the one tucked just behind the large houseplant by the front door.
Pulling the pin Tommy keeps calling for his husband as he follows the whisps of steadily darkening smoke through to the kitchen, and with every shout going unanswered his panic starts to grow.
Perhaps he isn’t home, maybe he’s popped to the park or the supermarket, there’s a growing list of things they’ve run out of stuck to the fridge that they’ve been meaning to pick up.
The alarm in the kitchen screams at him when he steps over the threshold making Tommy’s ears ring, but he only has eyes for the open door that leads into the yard, black smoke trailing in which appears to be what set it off.
What the hell is burning in their garden?

i’ve put a few freebies, some wishful thinking and some just random things that would make a pretty funny coincidence if they came true

POV Tommy Kinard | Established Relationship | Cabin Fic | Blizzards & Snowstorms | Fluff
“Babe, I think we might have to call a rain check on our hike.” Tommy moves to join Evan at the window of the cabin, looking out across the lake as the first gentle flakes of snow start to fall from the sky. “You mean a snow check?” he says, sliding his arms around Evan’s waist from behind and resting his chin on his boyfriend’s shoulder.

After making a bingo for my season 8 predictions/wish list i thought i would have some fun and make a bingo for buddies, specifically things they might say or do during season 8. Now i know some of these are a given as they have done some of these things every season since season 2, they haven't earned themselves a reputation over the last few years for being extremely toxic for no reason, but it's still fun to see how many things you can accurately predict.

They stay like that for a bit, Eddie's face buried in Buck's hair, their chest rising and lowering in unison, Buck pressing kisses along Eddie's hand and forearm.
