it makes so much sense to me that they immediately charged buck with the Get Bobby Up To Speed task. bc we know he’s good at his job. he’s not a paramedic but he could’ve just as easily saved someone on the phone. yet not when athena is in danger. not when bobby doesn’t know. that’s also part of growing up. desperately wanting to help, but knowing when and how. he’s not the same probie that first walked into the 118, no matter how many run-ins he has with gerrard. his behavior when it really matters is testament to that.

I feel like Jax in this episode was the most genuine we’ve ever seen him because he’s unable to use any of his regular coping mechanisms.

He can’t tease, can’t prank, can’t joke without fear of punishment.

i have a lot of issues with house of the dragon & game of thrones but aside from the sizing issues and the colouring issues, I absolutely LOVE the dragons.

they all sound different rather than one basic ‘Dragon Sound’ for them all, they all have their own little quirks like a mohawk and ripple wings or different head shapes or even little snaggle teeth like we saw in this recent episode and I absolutely LOVEE that there are multiple actual differences between them to make them feel more real.

you can love a character and still admit when they’re wrong. I love Bryony Halbech but can acknowledge her flaws (she has none) & can hold her accountable for her wrongdoings (she’s never done anything wrong in her life) & call her out for her actions (which are always correct)

What annoys me in fiction and tv is that often characters who do shitty things are let off the hook immediately, so I really hope that this doesn’t happen with K, because they deserve to be properly chewed out m

c3e65 is the most episode ever. sam’s a tiger. ashton deciding to put love first and take on the hero role. oranges. imodna kiss- TWICE. fcg and ashton hug. acknowledging delilah. direct ludinus sighting and speech. backpack pate house and new laudna dress. high level prisoners roaming about. chetney following his nose like an old cartoon straight to a werewolf hunter. drinking from religious fountains and having visions of the moon. vax’ildan. more ashton lore. scrying. caleb widogast mention. teleportation to the return to zephrah.

Either we haven’t talked about it enough or I’ve somehow failed to see posts about it, but uu!spoke’s character is so perfectly Young Hearty Protagonist.

I’m not caught up with the series so this is probably inaccurate. Add a dash of headcanon and Writer’s Projection, and tada, you’ve (probably) got Out Of Character! But! I digress. This is my take (for now)!!!

He’s torn constantly, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. This man is in actual agony. He just wants to do right, to set morals for himself that are good and just, that are RIGHT, all the while balancing said ability with the churning guilt that all of this is HIS fault. In a way, everything he didn’t want to do came to be because of him. It all leads back to him.

Of course, there’s the butterfly effect, but that only does so much to convince someone whose world is now on the verge of death thanks to his own actions. He set things into motion and he continues to do so.

Because with the flower siblings (ouch, btw, but amazing showcase of character), that was because of HIM. He technically had a choice (could’ve spared them), but he didn’t (he needed to kill rose to get closer to his goal, and if he left her alive, he’d risk dangerous consequences), but he DID, IF he had just chosen a different path in the past, if he had never done what he chose to do—and that’s what I love about him. It’s tragic. Spoke is locked onto a path and by the stars above is that guy trudging along on it.

But the point remains is that he’s still, like… a kid. He wants to be told he’s doing the right thing. He wants to be forgiven, and it doesn’t matter who that forgiveness comes from. Like in EP22, he constantly tells Leo and Mapicc that he doesn’t care for Ash’s praise, and that he’s only so enthusiastic about upgrading his level because it brings him closer to his goal. But we still see him preen at comments and get excited over validation—so much so that even the others comment on it—like come on bro, actions speak louder than words and man im covering my ears bc it is LOUD over here!!!

He’s a determined fighter, for sure. But he’s also just an insecure person trying to make up for their past actions. Which, considering his circumstances, is the worst combination of all.
