Omg I want to see abuela again. Let abuela move in with Eddie, she can help him to get better and he can process his childhood and I think having a parental/maternal figure who actually helps him instead of taking away what he loves could help him to work through how he never got the chance to get to know who he was without his responsibilities

Is the Abuela has a secret storyline still happening or do we think it was dropped due to time? Also what do we think it is?

I’m leaning towards she has something that Shannon gave her for Eddie (because he really made the “where’s my letter” a main part of his speech/rant/vent). But I also have no clue, because it could be something small or something crazy huge and idk what the episode will have time for or what they want to bring into season 8

i’ve decided i want to do the spin the wheel game for 911 characters but instead of fmk it’s:

solve one problem in their life (you have to put in the tags what problem you’d solve for them)

put in prison (you have to put in the tags what crime they’re getting convicted of)

have a 3 hour conversation about only 1 topic with them (you have to put in the tags what topic you’d choose)

Chris, shakes his head: His name's Tommy, and get this, he's actually Buck's boyfriend now. Abuela, gasps: No! Our Buck?! Chris, grimly: Uh-huh, so now Dad is pining over two really cool guys who he thinks don't want him, and it's really really rough.

Eddie: Lo siento Abuela, estoy embarazada.

Abuela: You just told me you're pregnant.

Pepa: I didn't know you and Buck were already trying but congratulations Eddie, you're glowing!

I got this idea from a mlm romance novel I read but hear me out:

Eddie stops by at Tia Pepa’s while Abuela is staying with her visiting LA. He just came by really quick to drop something off or maybe pick something up that he left there.

While he’s in the house, he can overhear Abuela on the phone with someone in the next room saying things like…

“Make sure you go down to that place on Century to get the masa harina not the stuff in the grocery store…”

And

“Let the mole simmer maybe 20 minutes?”

And

“This is why grandmothers always want their grandsons to marry someone nice. Someone to look after them and make them good food. They usually can’t do it for themselves. You’ll make him some nice tamales!”

And Eddie doesn’t think anything of it, probably just Abuela giving some young girl from church advice… until he gets home. Buck is in the kitchen with Chris and there’s tamales in a steamer basket and Eddie realizes Abuela was on the phone with Buck and she was telling him how to make tamales.

That’s when it hits him like a freight train.

i’m just picturing buck’s scrapbook recipe binder <3 he starts by writing down what he remembers from bobby’s cooking lessons in his notes app, and when bobby notices he keeps asking for details, he jokes about writing it all down for buck and buck goes oh actually could you? so bobby does and buck collects those pieces of paper and keeps them so safe. and then at some point he buys a binder for them and begins adding printed recipes he found online, and cut outs from magazines, all stuff he’d like to try one day. when maddie finds out she contributes a couple of recipes she used to make for him all written in the glittery gel pen she used when she was younger. buck begins to add sticky notes with recipe modifications and reviews from people he cooks for. chris insists on adding his own commentary whenever buck makes something new for him. jee then wants to do the same so a few recipes have little drawings on them. hen and chim and everyone else hands buck a recipe at some point so it becomes a true family recipe book.

and eddie feels really bad about not contributing actually but he’s a horrible cook, he has no recipes, and when he gets better at it, all his recipes are from linda, and buck and linda set up a recipe exchange years ago. but he loves buck, buck is part of their family, and he wants so badly for that to be reflected in buck’s recipe binder. and then abuela finds out and the next time buck has dinner with the entire diaz family, she brings buck a stack of yellowed paper with spanish instructions on them, and tells them they can go in his binder and she expects him for cooking lessons every other sunday from then onwards. and that’s how buck learns not only the 118 family recipes, but also the diaz family ones <3

Ramon: And then the company I worked for went bankrupt after I retired. But, hey. I guess they just don't make them like me no more. I was the last of my kind.

Eddie: Thank god. I mean, I just don't think there's enough mental illness in the world.

Ramon: For what?

Eddie: For more than one of you to be going around fucking up the population.

Ramon:

Eddie: Honestly, being singular in existence is probably the most helpful thing you've ever done.

Demisexual.” Eddie's been reading a lot. The term that has come the closest for him has been Demisexual biromantic, but the words are still hard to push out. He figures the more he says them, the more he accepts himself, it will get easier. It's a work in progress, but he's getting there. A few beats of silence and then Abuela’s hands are cupping his face and gently guiding him to look at her. “Eddito, I'll love you no matter what, okay? This changes nothing.” She says, the softest of smiles playing on her lips and her eyes shining with nothing but love and adoration. “I'm so proud of you, you know that?” or: Abuela is the first person Eddie comes out to.
