Talia even being called an assassin gives me the ick because when she was first introduced she hated killing, felt immense guilt the few times she had to, and most of the time if it looked like she killed someone it turned out to be anaesthesia or a tranquilizer or something. Like she was literally studying to be a doctor when her and Bruce met and she was based off of the stereotypical Bond Girl because it was the 70's. Like I know it's basically her entire character now that she's an "assassin mom" or whatever but that was not who she was intended to be and I hate how it's done most of the time because it's ALWAYS a way to point and say "look at the evil brown woman! She's a cold blooded killer who forced/passively allowed her son to kill as well! It's a good thing that the feral brown boy is now with his good white family so he can learn the value of life and art and how to exist in civil society!" And it's actually really pissing me off. You guys don't even read a characters introduction comic before you start writing the same regurgitated nonsense steeped in racism and misogyny. Damian's whole character as it stands is basically character assassination for Talia and in order for me to be able to engage with him he'd have to be entirely rewritten.

Drex 'Pooka' Berenockt is Melliwyk's homunculus servant, because she may already have two familiars and the tiny servant and unseen servant spells but none of those things have hands and an intelligence higher than 2. he has wings modeled after an earwig's origami'd into a back panel and he curls down into a sphere when he's deactivated. he is also A Leetol Guy and I love him 😌

It was fun to make, and I actually enjoyed myself the whole way through-- I want that spark back. anyways the love of my life. a giant man named after a pretty flower who could snap rebar with his bare hands. and also gets grumpy when he doesn't have his specal afternoon tea time. expanding on my thoughts on jack a bit today…. like i’ve said before i think he uses crutches for chronic joint pain because like. i can’t quite remember the actual canon details but the way i’ve been picturing things is that since the cult’s ritual failed/was interrupted, jack’s transformation wasn’t able to be fully completed. so while he has some eldritch god-knows-what in him, he’s stuck in a permanent state of Transition. which is bad! that’s not meant to happen! so while a lot of his body changed (longer limbs, claws, sharper teeth) a lot of the like. genetics behind it hadn’t been transformed yet if that makes sense. so he has longer limbs, but his joints aren’t on par to handle all of that, leading to the joint pain. which is one of like 300 issues that arises from being the victim of a failed ritual but it’s become very important 2 me

i KNOW that oda is aware he's drawn some extremely gorgeous ladies since he obviously does that on purpose (though i believe he's unaware of just how beautiful some ladies he's drawn that stray too far from his usual model are), but I'm, like, pretty much convinced he has absolutely no clue he's also drawn some of the most good looking manga dudes out there. I'm sure he has no idea. He puts down lines and then he's like "???? why are people so obsessed with this guy he has barely shown up ever????" while we're all sitting here going heart eyes or whatever. It's been twenty-six years maybe it's time for him to get on with the program. It's like his experience with benn and ace in the very beginning taught him absolutely nothing
