Trying to find something to go with these tights? I don’t have a lot of bright clothes that match them, so went more in a mixing it with lighter colors sort of direction, maybe sort of sky themed (rainbow with the blue and white clouds)?
#self#ootd#should I start tagging things as that?? lol.. I mot sure how to tag things like this that are. not costumes really. just outfits. but not a#specific style or anything. just like experimental#I need more cloud print items also.. there just arn't many of them. OR actually. There are not many of them if you're someone like me who#pretty much exclusively gets clothes at places like the bins and thrift stores. All of the cloud print items I have are the small like 0.5%#of my wardrobe gotten from ebay in the past 10 years. I have never seen a cloud print thing out in the wild actually#OR sometimes you finally find stuff that's sky/cloud themed but it's like... a washcloth for babies. instead of a shirt. ... sad#they probably do have them and you can maybe get them at stores sometimes but. hhhh.....#Buying things new is so stinky. everything costs over $10 >:( why.. why cost mony >:(#I think once you get used to everything being like 25 cents an item to MAYBE $8 or something at a real thrift store#going to online or in person stores and seeing stuff like a cloud dress but it's $65 is like.......... I could never. I could never fathom#I mean. I WOULD pay $65 for a dress if it was literally like. Exactly every specific thing I love all in one and I know I would never find#it again in my entire life and could not make it myself and etc. etc. Like a pastel blue and white historical style dress with#puffy sleeves that goes down to the ankles and has a high ruffled collar and also has a pattern with cats and clouds and stars on it and the#sleeves and striped and there's lace and bows and things dangling from the cuffs and part of it is irridescent and there are long buttons or#lacing or some other elaborate details and tassles somewhere also and it's layered and 3 sizes too big for me so it's not tight#or etc. etc. I would pay maybe $80 for that. Perhaps $100 if it came with accessoriy bits (like a ruffled fancy apron or shawl or hisorical#bonnet or matching gloves that also had cats on them etc. ) - but otherwise. No.#ANYWAY. for someone who loves clouds SO much. I have so little actual cloud themed clothing and house things lol#If I had a billion dollars though... >:) I would give 80% of my money to charity obligatory but what I had left I would use to have like.#the most Themed house ever. so much clouds and also cats. rug shaped like clouds. a cloudy sky mural on every cieling.#full wardrobe of cloud print cloaks and stuff. so on and so forth lol

Sweat beads down your back, the trickle of it slower than the clock ticking above your head. Time seems to slow as you sit on a carpet that hasn’t been steam cleaned since the 80s and push yourself against the wall, eyes glued to the open vault.
It had happened so fast and yet now, it’s like it can’t be over fast enough. Each second that ticks by feels like it takes a year. You cannot hear the chatter of the men inside the vault, but their harsh whispers raise goosebumps on your skin.
At least they haven’t noticed you. Not that you would do much, anyway. You have no intention of going over to push the alarm by the door, too afraid to alert the armed man who stands just outside the vault room on the other side, and far too underpaid to risk your life for a financial institution.
For a moment, you wish it were you robbing the damned bank. Maybe you could pay off the student loans on your degree you’re not using and run the heating in your apartment during the winter instead of bundling up in several layers.
Your momentary lapse of delusion passes as the men rush out of the vault, duffles in hand. They’re all dressed in red, black masks covering their faces with shapes on them. You’re vaguely aware that the costume belongs to some sort of show you saw online, but you can’t place them.
Perhaps you’ll watch it now.
“Hurry up,” one of the men barks toward the vault. There had been three inside, but only two came out. “Grab the last and let’s go. Two minutes left.”
They’re gone in an instant. Your eyes dart back to the vault where you can hear the last person inside. Glancing at the clock, you watch the seconds tick by.
Ten seconds. Fifteen. Thirty. A minute.
A man dressed in a red suit, hood pulled over his head comes out of the vault. As he slugs it shut with one arm, the bag on his shoulder droops, spilling the contents inside out onto the floor. Bands of cash fall out, thudding around his feet. He swears loudly and bends over, back slipping more to drop cash on the ground.
In his frustration, he crouches and tips the mask up a fraction, shielding his face from the camera above but not from you, huddled on the floor a few feet away.
Your heart skips. The thief is beautiful. Dark eyes focused on his task, a wide nose that fits perfectly on a symmetrical face with high cheekbones, a sharp jawline, and a pursed mouth. There’s a flush in his face from the heat, the tip of his nose an endearing shade of rose.
As if sensing your gaze, his head snaps up. You cower against the wall, realizing now that you’ve seen his face, you’ve doomed yourself. He stalls completely, gloved hand hovering over the cash, eyes boring into you. He arches a brow as if to ask you a question and you respond by shaking your head.
The thief gives you a cocky grin, nodding before he finishes picking up the money and tossing it into the bag. He looks at you again, a smirk on full display before he winks and pulls the mask back down. “Good girl,” he purrs. “I like that.”
Despite the situation, your stomach flips. He stands and rushes out, lingering by the door for a second longer to stare at you through the black mask. You can’t see his face, but you know you’ll never forget it, pretty as an angel, dangerous as a devil.
When the group is gone, you wait in silence, only the pumping of your heart to keep you company. When the cops come and ply you with questions all you can do is shake your head repeatedly.
I was too scared. I can’t remember.
-
I was too scared. I can’t remember.
It is the same thing you tell investigators for nearly two months. Just when you think they won’t keep asking what the man looked like, they finally drop it, handing over the robbery details to the FBI. They were at least a little less callous, caring a little less about how many questions you answered.
If you had to guess, your unimpressive financial situation even after the robbery was significant enough that you weren’t involved with the robbery.
It’s hard not to wish you had been. The straw in your mouth belongs to a drink that is far too expensive for you to not wince and it barely tastes like anything. At this rate, you know you won’t get a buzz. You’d love alcohol to take the edge off of the loud club music or loosen you up a bit, but you’re resigned to being sober for the rest of your friend's birthday.
Around you is a gaggle of men and women, both people you know and new faces trying to pick up your friends. Anyone trying to hit on you has already decided you’re far too grumpy to waste time on, most of their backs facing you as people shout over the music about working in finance.
You wonder if they also rob banks in their spare time. It makes you grin, thinking fondly about the thief once again. You do that a lot.
Sipping the drink, you glance at your phone. It’s been an hour since you arrived, but you’re wondering if enough time has reasonably passed to excuse yourself. Tomorrow is one of your few days off and you intend to spend it lounging on the couch watching TV instead of nursing a headache.
Someone slides into the space at the bar next to you. You don’t glance up at them, spinning your skinny cocktail straw absently as you stare at the melted ice of your Long Island iced tea. You hoped that once it melted it would turn into a second drink, but it hasn’t. Cold, bitter water it is, then.
“Why the long face?” You frown at the vaguely familiar voice and glance up, freezing.
Mr. Bank Robber looks down at you, cocking his head to the side with a wolfish grin. Your mouth pops open in surprise, leaning back a little as you drink him in. This close, he is far more beautiful than you remember, the edges and shadows of his face like a carefully painted fresco. Michelangelo could hardly be talented enough to capture this.
“You,” you whisper, his grin spreading further.
“Have we met?” he leans on the bar, dressed in all black. You eye the three-piece suit and the glinting diamonds in the cuff links. His clothes are far finer than anything anyone else is wearing and when you breathe in sharply, you smell a hint of woody cologne. His dark hair is slicked back and you catch the dainty hoop earrings in his lobes. You like the juxtaposition.
“You know we have.” He tongues the inside of his cheek, turning his head to order with the bartender. His eyes stray to you, raising a brow. You supply him with your answer, “A long island.”
The bartender nods, momentarily stupefied by the heistman’s beauty before walking over to the POS, tapping the screen with the speed and aggression unique to bartenders.
“Kind of a shitty club,” he mentions, looking around over the top of your head. Sweat clings to your lower back, your mouth growing dry as you watch colors splash on his face. “Your face is too pretty for a place like this.”
“Is that so?”
“Mhmm.” The bartender puts the drinks on the counter and the man gives him cash, signaling to keep the change. The bartender raises a brow but says nothing, taking the money as he goes. “What’s your name?”
“You probably already know it.” He cocks his head to the side. “I’m sure you looked me up to see if I was a threat or watched me to see what I’d do.”
“You watch too many heist movies.”
“Maybe I watch just enough.”
He laughs at that and your lips twitch. It’s rich, making his face intimidating as he gives you a wide smile and shakes his head. “Alright, maybe you’re right.”
“Can I know your name?”
“For the right price.”
“My silence was a pretty petty, no?”
He bites his bottom lip, eyes dipping down and back up. You sip your drink, feeling a flush of warmth unfurl in your body, most notably between your legs. “I like you.”
“You have to like me. I know your secret.”
Leaning forward, he ducks down so that he’s murmuring into your ear, hot breath ghosting your skin and making you tremble. “Want to hear more?” Your eyelids flutter as he waits, skin buzzing at his sudden proximity. You nod, feeling lightheaded. “My name is Taehyung. Want to get out of here?”
-
“Fuck,” Taehyung growls, hands skimming your bare sides. You can’t keep still under his gaze, hips squirming and fingers twisting in the sheets. His mouth is swollen and covered in your spit, his eyes blown as a large hand scrapes down to your thigh where he gives you a good slap. “I knew you were a good girl.”
A moan trips out of your mouth. Your thigh stings where he slapped you but he soothes it with the easy back-and-forth motion of his hand, his fingers digging into your flesh. Taehyung is a man starved, having littered your body with harsh kisses and bites, nearly breaking the skin.
You don’t care. You’re feverish for him, room spinning as you sprawl on his soft sheets in a hotel room that is far nicer than anything you’ve ever been in. You burn up like a star, core raging as Taehyung leans back down, pressing your naked thighs open for him as he sucks the skin of your chest between his teeth.
Everything aches. You want him so bad that you feel a cry come out of your mouth, lips wobbling as he laughs against your skin, sinking lower and lower, mouth loud as he sucks at your skin, tongue brushing over the sting of his teeth.
“Does my good girl need her pussy eaten?” Taehyung rasps, looking up at you where he kneels between your legs. “Is that why you’re crying, hmm?”
Taehyung looks like something out of a thriller. His eyes are dark and hungry, his shadowed face becoming some sort of demon of lust. He’s what you would imagine a dark god. A bacchanal devil, a creature made for sin.
All you can do is nod in response, feeling Taehyung’s vicious grip on your thighs as he presses you further, your muscles stretching. The strain feels good, as does the slow drip of your cunt down the curve of your ass mixed with his breath.
“So messy,” he murmurs, leaning forward and blowing cool air on your sticky folds. You squirm, the sensation sending you into overdrive as you twist your head to the side, eyes squeezed shut. He’s barely done a thing and you’re worked up more than you can ever recall. “Pretty.”
The slow, soft press of Taehyung’s tongue through your pussy makes you sag. It’s the relief that you so desperately needed, eyes rolling back as he circles your clit and drags his tongue back down. Taehyung is slow as he eats you out, tongue savoring every drop you can give him.
He taps your thigh, drawing your attention to him. He smirks as his tongue dips into your entrance, dragging back up to swirl around your throbbing bud a few times.
It’s impossible to tear your eyes away once you’re watching. Taehyung keeps his razor-sharp gaze on you, bringing his mouth fully to your cunt as he sucks eagerly. There is a rhythm to the curl of his tongue and the sharp suck of his lips, the wet smack of his ministrations driving you crazy.
“Mmm,” he hums, pressing his face in further. He’s messy with it, his jaw and nose covered in shiny slick. He laughs throatily when your back comes off the bed, thighs shaking. “Such a good pussy, just like I knew it would be.”
It feels too hot in the room. Your breaths are coming in too fast and there’s nothing you can do to catch it, Taehyung working you up to a frenzied, frenetic orgasm. You can feel your heartbeat in your ears, pumping so hard that you think you might need to stop.
And then you break.
Your body seizes as you come, a scream ripping through your mouth as Taehyung slurps hungrily at your mess, spurred by your release. You can’t stop shaking as he dives in, unwilling to stop until you’re babbling, nearly lifeless as the orgasm teeters into overstimulation.
Only then does Taehyung pull his mouth away, trailing wet, cum-spit kisses on your inner thigh, nipping your thigh here and there.
“Think you can take more?” he asks, slurring his words against your thigh. Think you can take my cock.”
You nod eagerly, hand letting go of the sheets and reaching toward him. “Yes.”
“Mmm good. I’m about to bust.” He bites your knee. “And I don’t mean a bank, this time.”

☆MY FASHION ICONS☆
How to turn influence into originality
I think everyone should have at least 2 - 3 different fashion icons. Whether it's an artist, model, designer, fictional character or even cartoon. It's these influences that can help build upon your own fashion sense and style. Relating and gravitating towards certain people can help us decide how we want to present ourselves to the world. Help us find our inner confidence shine through to the physical. Taking bits and pieces from other influences to make something completely your own.
This post is in three sections
1. How finding your influences can help you find your style
2. My icons and their style
3. How I use their influence to find my own original style
(Also I use fashion icon and style icon interchangeably. The basis is just someone who’s fashionable and has a style you feel inspired by)
Lets get into it
FINDING INFLUENCE
Maybe you watched a movie when you were younger and a character dawned an outfit that has stuck with you forever. A specific show or movie has stayed with you simply because of the fashion alone. You discovered that you would give anything to dress like the people you grew up seeing on your screens. To a celebrity's iconic street style or a characters impeccable fashion choices. What we naturally gravitate towards is what inevitably ends up being our main influence. Knowing what we are inspired by helps us figure out how we want to represent ourselves. Today I'm focusing on fashion and style.
If you're someone who wants to figure out what inspires you I'd suggest to go explore all genres of films and tv. Regardless the decade I bet you, you will find a movie or show that resonates with you in terms of fashion/style and aesthetics. Pinterest of course is also an amazing place to look for inspo. Especially if you already have an idea of what you want but need expanding upon it. Environment also affects inspiration. I've seen people's style and how they express themselves completely change because they moved abroad or just simply to a new city. I hope people who read this who are in an environment who cant express themselves the way they want are able to find a place for them someday. If you cant find an environment physically, I'd suggest finding one online. Twitter communities, Tumblr and discord servers pertaining to your interests can help you extremely.
Now, people might struggle to take what inspires them and make something of their own without looking like a straight up carbon copy. Not knowing how to build a style and not look like they're wearing a costume. What I've found to be helpful is to start off by noticing patterns with how your influences dress. If one is a celebrity you can probably find interviews of them talking about the style you're trying to implicate. If it's a character(s) there's a high chance there are YouTube videos and even tiktoks dissecting their style. The best part about this is that you can pick and choose what you like and what you want to try out.
That is also how you eventually find your own style through influence. You have to do things through trial and error. I know that makes people wince because they don't want to look ridiculous but it's true. The main thing you need is confidence. And if you don’t have that fake it till you make it sis. I can think of many people and celebrities who started off one way and evolved into the icons they are today. To people like Rihanna, Bella Hadid, and Sabrina Carpenter. Even with them you can see what influences their style. Rihanna (who has gone through many fashion phases) once being very heavily influenced by 80's UK British punk rock style and Americana. Bella recently being influenced by vaquero and cowgirl chic fashion because of her current cowboy boyfriend Adan Banuelos. Sabrina being very influenced by baby doll aesthetics, lingerie, and 60's style of clothing. You can see with all of their influences they're able to make it theirs. Of course they have stylists to help them(not to take away from their own creativeness) but you can still find ways to help yourself.
Even I am in the trial and error stage. Finding out what I like and what my current influences wear that I want to try too. What helps me is making mood boards and finding pieces that look similar to the ones my inspirations wear. It’s important to note that just buying statement pieces won’t help you build style because it’s harder to create different outfits with them. Basics are VITAL. So don’t overlook them when dissecting your influences. Let me show you how I dissect the patterns and fashion sense my fashion icons have and how I use these as blueprints in figuring out how I want to style myself.
MY ICONS
FRAN FINE
Played by the fabulous Fran Dresher, Fran Fine was the main character in the extremely popular and iconic sitcom of the 90's "The Nanny". Fran being a flashy girl from Flushing Queens who stumbles into a nanny job taking care of rich bachelor Maxwell Sheffield's three kids. The shows main plot is the will they won't they dynamic between Fran and Mr. Sheffield and how unconventional of a nanny Fran is.
Her unconventional yet charming nature reflects in her many iconic outfits. Many pieces being traditionally sophisticated like blazers and turtlenecks are made more flirty and tempting with mini skirts. Frans style didn't shy away from any sort of color, texture or pattern. Wearing things that range from a brick pantsuit, a rainbow sequined strap dress, tiger print blazer and mini skirt set, many bright colored fur coats, and full vinyl and leather matching sets. Her main inspo to her fashion seems to take from 60’s and mod fashion trends. Especially with her big hair and headbands being her main choice of accessory.
Frans typical silhouette would consist of some sort of turtleneck or vest. If she wore a vest it'd usually would have some sort of blouse underneath (collared or another turtleneck). Her bottoms would either be fitted pants, a mini skirt, or a mini dress. Frans signature shoe was a classic pump heel and would usually wear some sort of stocking or tights with them. (usually black) Occasionally she'd switch out the pumps for a boot that would either be reminiscent of 60's mod or just a regular heeled boot. Fran loved a matching set so typically her skirts would usually match her jackets. Her jackets typically being cropped or regular sized blazers. A lot of them being fur trimmed.
CHER
Cher is a famous musician, actress and Tv host. She was the IT girl of the 70's deemed " Goddess of Pop" and was known muse for the incredible Bob Mackie, one of my favorite fashion designers.
Cher was known for her impeccable and ground breaking style. She was unique and was never afraid to dress outside the box. Proudly showing off her stomach and wearing very risqué mesh outfits. Cher's approach to fashion was like a hybrid of bohemian, Disco and old Hollywood glamour. The main thing I think of when it comes to Cher is how she was almost always decked out in sequins and diamonds. Forever sparkling and shining in the cameras. Looking like a colorful disco ball. Cher was also known to not shy away from feathers, furs, and metallics. Considering she can technically be considered a showgirl and had her own popular show filled with musical numbers it makes sense for her to wear that sort of fashion.
Cher's classic silhouette was usually some sort of form fitting, skin showing dress or two piece. She would start off covered in some sort of shawl or jacket that was usually fur or covered in feathers. Then she would reveal her outfit. Typically the outfit would show some a lot of skin, usually her stomach, chest and arms. She was almost aways wearing cross body dresses and tops. a top that would wrap around Chers chest but still show off her core and arms. If Cher wasn't wearing a dress with this type of top she was wearing flared disco pants/Bell bottoms. Similar to Fran, Cher never strayed from interesting patterns and designs. Both very flashy and fashion forward women who knew how to light up a room with just their style alone.
JEM
Jem, from the 80’s cartoon "Jem and the Holograms" is the lead singer of her pop rock band of the same name. Not only that but she’s also secretly Jerrica Benton, the groups manager and owner of her late father's record label starlight music. Jem's 80's fashion can only be described as truly outrageous along with her big pink hair.
Jem of the Holograms was a unique show not only for its premise but because the main cast almost always had a new outfit every episode. Jem didn’t have a consistent silhouette but her outfits were adjacent or the inverse to her alter self. Jerrica being more conservative and covered while jem was more flashy and glamourous. Like a rock star should. One thing consistent with jem were her colors. Pink being her iconic color along with purple, light blue, fuchsia, and yellow.
Jem wore everything from pant suits, bodycon dresses, ball gowns, evening gowns, trench coats, matching sets, and bodysuits. All with 80’s trends like shoulder pads, fingerless gloves, popped collars, patterns like polka dots, layered necklaces, and mini skirts (one reminiscent of tutus artists like Cyndi Lauper and Madonna would wear) The one accessory that stays consistent with her is her gem star earrings and if you notice in the show are the bands symbol. In many of her outfits she dawns a star shape or pattern
*Note that not just Jem inspires my fashion tastes in the show but other characters as well. The other person inspiring me second to her is her antagonist Pizzazz who I've opted as my alter ego. especially considering Jem wears pink and Pizzazz wears green, (opposite colors)
CREATING YOUR OWN STYLE
If it’s not obvious based off the three examples I gave, I like dressing like the brightest thing in the room. The star. The showgirl. The main character of you will. I like to be dressed up even if I’m the only one doing so. So naturally I gravitate to people (or characters) who dress like that. Showgirls like Lola Falana and Josephine Baker inspire me too. Now what I do is take the inspirations and make a mood board. You might've seen my "The Vibe I Bring to the Function" post. That is one example. I've created many moldboards of the type of style I want to have. By taking those influences I notice the similarities between them then make a base line. Here's what I've noticed with mine:
Sequins and rhinestones
Feathers and fur
Leather/Vinyl
Figure hugging
Skin showing
Bodysuits
Turtlenecks
Fitted Blazers/Suits
Flared pants/Bell Bottoms
Matching skirt/pants and jacket sets
Animal Print
Bold Prints/Patterns
Cross body/Halter tops
Bold and bright colors
Then I take this andattribute it to what I know looks good on me. Like certain accessories. for example headbands and bamboo hoops (usually in gold). Speaking of you should also learn your colors. Coincidentally Jems colors are actually some of mine. Especially the color pink. But like I said above trial and error is how you soon figure out what works for you and what doesn't. I used to have a romper body suit once that was baggy with spaghetti straps. The pants were hemmed with elastic so it looked like sweatpants… That's when I realized that if I wanna wear a bodysuit it looks better if its form fitting and flared at the leg lol. Asking people what looks good on you helps a lot too. A lot of the stuff I figured out looks good on me is because I consulted some good friends. When it comes to my environment I'm in an astrology discord chat with some close friends and long story short I'm associated with peacocks so I consider that into my style as well. I'm also from the south so southern inspired outfits also intrigue me. I take this all and experiment with it. I currently have a bunch of animal prints in my close to a peacock corset to an orange velvet bellbottoms. This is only the beginning.
At the end of it all it comes down to experimenting, finding what looks good and realizing that what you gravitate towards. Learning to style yourself is as easy as looking up the basics on YouTube and building on from there. Your icons in fashion will help you get to the direction you want and one day you’ll see how much you’ve developed.
Also ALWAYS remember that you’re in charge here. You can change whenever and whatever you want. You don’t have to find your style and stick with it forever. Like I mentioned before Rihanna has been through multiple different fashion phases, we’re seeing the same with Doja cat as well. Your influences now can be completely different later. Whether it’s your environment or tastes that change. Whatever you find in life that influences you. So today I might be dressing like a 70's showgirl the next a man-eater vampire. Still me at the end of the day. And whoever your icons are, or whatever your inspired by at the end of it all should be reflection of how you want to express yourself.

OK IT'S COME TO MY ATTENTION THAT THE PROBLEM ISN'T ON MY END, IT'S SOMETHING UP WITH THE GAME. like i looked further into the issue (which in hindsight i obv should've done way sooner) & it turns out there are a bunch of ppl having the exact same problem that i'm having, and most of them are in the same region as me. so the GOOD news is that my internet is pretty much fine, especially now that i've moved my setup into a room closer to the router & have a better connection. the BAD news is obv that i can't actually DO anything to fix the problem, i just have to wait around hoping namco will fix it. ugh. i just wanna play some tekken man, this is such a bummer
CURSE MY FUCKING SHITARSE INTERNET I JUST WANT TO PLAY SOME FUCKING TEKKEN GAAAAHHHHHHHH
REINA IS SO FUCKING SICK AND I CAN'T PLAY HER AGAINST REAL PPL I'M STUCK FIGHTING THE STUPID AI FUCK
#this shit's really killing my vibe lol i was so fuckin excited about this game#and like i still am#the game is sick the visuals are sick the music RIPS & i just overall think the game is great#hopefully this issue gets fixed soon#cause as soon as it does i'm gonna be ALL OVER THAT SHIT#oh & i've decided on my secondary characters too#it was hard to narrow it down to just 2 secondaries cause like 3/4 of the roster looks super fun#but i decided on lee & steve#maybe i'll get online play as them & suddenly realise they aren't fun at all LOL but as of now those are my picks#the way they revamped lee's just frames (and gave him some new ones) is like 80% of what's drawing me towards him#& then with steve he's just so fucking SICK that i can't not play as him#like yea t8's not exactly been kind to poor steve in terms of design#yea from some angles his face looks really really weird#yea the voice acting on some of his lines sounds absolutely terrible#yea his default costume is the ugliest shit ever#none of which changes the fact that steve is like one of the top 3 sickest characters in the whole series#i think he's significantly cooler than any other boxing character i've seen in a fighting game#and he also has some of the fun execution stuff the i tend to enjoy in a character#so yea reina lee & steve are my characters for t8 & i'm gonna try really really hard to stick to just those 3

Some Halloween art of @barbwritesstuff Thicker Than MC Dr. Roxane Blackwell Trick or Treating with her son Percy. Their costumes are based on Micheal Jackson and Ola Ray from the Thriller music video. She's wearing a wig she borrowed from Tracy. Roxane grew up in the 80s and she is not damaging her natural hair and braids using all those chemicals to style a Jheri curl! Not again dammit! The leopard print denim outfit Roxan was able to find on an online sight that sells vintage clothes (the same one Ed from Blood Moon runs).
Having been born in the early 1980s Roxane always had fond memories of the song, and was even willing to teach the dance to her son, when Percy wanted to dress up like the Prince of Pop...untill Roxane rewatched the music video. She'd half forgotten the werewolf scene in the begining and even Percy was concerned by his mom, suddly becoming so stiff and still. Untill Roxane explaine mommy had forgoten how spooky the music video was. Little Percy just comforted his mom and promised he'd protect her from the scary things that creep around at night. If Roxane was still able to cry she'd be weeping for weeks about how much her little boy ment it (and by how much her heart was breaking knowing that she is one of those "scary things that creep around at night" )

older dipper & mabel hcs
mabel collects squishmallows, webkinz, and barbies (primarily 80s and 2000s ones, her faves are the barbie rewind dolls)
her laptop and water bottle are decked out with stickers from redbubble, she also sells stickers of her own both online and locally
both she and dipper shop secondhand a fair bit and are adamant about keeping/preserving physical media
mabel's clothes are all either handmade or thrifted
they're neighbors and they frequent karaoke bars together, and go over to each other's places to play video games fairly often
they were roommates during university, "we've lived together all our lives so might as well continue that instead of living with strangers"
mabel still loves 80s pop music, she also got into synthwave partway thru university (she was an art student and graduated with a bfa, majored in fibre arts tho she loved and still loves dabbling in various different mediums)
she also loves dance pop in general, esp 2000s and early 2010s stuff (she's also a future funk girlie)
dipper's a bit less embarassed about the music he likes, though overall he's still more reserved than his sister (he loves lofi/chillhop music cus it helps him relax/calm down)
wendy's hat is a comfort item for him, tho he doesn't wear it every day
mabel's more mellow than she was during her tween & teen years, but she's still the more outgoing one between her and dipper
mabel realized she's aroace partway thru highschool and still proudly identifies as such into her adult years (ofc dipper's the first person she came out to)
dipper is a pan trans man
after getting her braces off, mabel has to wear a retainer every night to bed (she picked out a rainbow pattern for it)
not long after mabel got her braces off, dipper needed braces (much to his chagrin and her amusement); after he got them off, he picked out a glow-in-the-dark retainer
they both visit gravity falls whenever they're able (usually a summer trip) and they keep in touch with the people they bonded with the most, esp wendy, soos, pacifica, candy & grenda, and their grunkles
"we literally survived an apocalypse and almost dying, we had barely any trouble navigating our teen years and our adult lives so far"
dipper got into writing and likes writing mystery novels and stuff about urban legends; in his spare time he makes video essays about his various interests
they still wear matching costumes every halloween, sometimes opting for pop culture relevant stuff
i really like the hc i saw elsewhere on tumblr where they get matching tattoos of their cipher wheel symbols (shooting star and pine tree); mabel also gets a tattoo in honor of waddles
#this is mostly mabel centric cus she's my fav#but ofc i love both mystery twins just to be clear#gravity falls#dipper pines#mabel pines#headcanon

All About BA-TSU CLUB
Ba-tsu was founded in 1971 by designer Ruki Matsumoto. I believe the brand started as a formal wear/business wear line? One notable thing about Ba-tsu is that they dabbled in costume design, they’re well known for designing the costumes for the “Battle Royal” films. I won't go too in-depth on the brands early history, they didn't start as an alternative fashion brand so it’s not very relevant. The alternative clothing they made, including the Kyo collab, was done under a sub-brand called “Ba-tsu Club.” (I have no idea if Ba-tsu club was also designed by Ruki Matsumoto, it's all a bit of a mystery.)
In 2004 Ba-tsu was acquired by a company called Crown Creative Co. In September 19, 2006 Ba-tsu went bankrupt and closed all of their lines except Men's Ba-tsu, which remain open to this day.
Ba-tsu Club top
One of the reasons Ba-tsu is so iconic in the V-kei scene is because of their collaboration with Kyo from Dir en Grey. Kyo designed all of the pieces and Ba-tsu released them. This really pushed Ba-tsu into the spotlight.
Ba-tsu Club x Kyo set (this collection was huge, I'd guess they released at least 20+ items together)
BA-TSU CLUB PRINTED SKIRT One thing I think really sets BA-TSU CLUB apart from other punk brands from its time is how versatile their pieces are. You could style them really over the top or just with a simplistic outfit! —They often use custom printed fabric and embroidery in their pieces, which is also pretty unique!
BA-TSU CLUB SOCKS —Speaking as someone who owns a decent amount of pieces from BA-TSU I can attest to the fact that the quality of their pieces is extremely consistent, It’s absolutely top notch.
BA-TSU CLUB JEANS I wish I had more information/history on this brand,It’s difficult to research them because they have never had a website :( all of those neckties and things printed with “BATSU.COM” ARE CATFISHESSS! anyways thx for reading my blawwwgg I’ll b back tomorrow :3

Seeing a fair number of posts lately from transfems wishing they had known a trans person who would have told them when they were younger that they're trans, and it's been bothering me. First of all because it puts the onus of responsibility on this mysterious, cool, older, wiser transwoman to break the egg out of their shell, which I thought we agreed was a toxic ideal back when we called them Manic Pixie Dream Girls.
Second, and more importantly, because in the ideal scenario, in which the egg is very definitely a closeted transgirl, and the more open transwoman is genuinely just trying to help the egg find her true self, being forceful about it can set that discovery back years, even decades.
Source: It literally happened to me.
In my late teens, I played an MMORPG called City of Heroes, and my best friend in that game would later reveal to me that she is a transwoman. As I aged into my mid twenties, we got to meeting up IRL and going to anime conventions together, and she'd inevitably broach the topic of me trying more feminine presentation. Not even telling me she saw signs, just subtly trying to steer me in the right direction. She was particularly enthusiastic about seeing me in a skirt.
Every single time it happened, I'd get mad and shut down.
There's a psychological phenomenon in which, when someone holds a set of deeply held beliefs, and those beliefs are challenged by verifiable evidence, the cognitive dissonance causes the person to double down, and hold to those beliefs even harder. That's why right-wingers are Like That, but it applies just as much to all of us. I'll get back to this concept in a bit.
When I was around 15, an anime aired in Canada called Cardcaptor Sakura, or Cardcaptors as it was localized. Something about the exact stage of development I was, and seeing Sakura getting to set aside her mundane responsibilities to dress up in cute costumes and go out on magical adventures, it called to my closeted little girl heart. I have a vivid memory of staring in the mirror, holding my hair to look like Sakura's and imagining myself as her. As a girl. I have many more memories of looking at feminine characters and thinking "gods I wish I could look/dress like that", but Sakura was the first.
I kept it fully to myself, because I had grown up in the late 80s and 90s - before the word 'transgender' was commonly known, before media depicted us as anything but objects of mockery or horror. It was a deeply ingrained and societally reinforced belief that Boys Are Boys and Girls Are Girls, and never the two shall cross.
So when my best online friend tried to convince me to be more feminine, that cognitive dissonance would kick in and I'd shut down. Even though she was objectively correct that I was a closeted transgirl, it was her word against the word of my entire upbringing and societal viewpoint.
What actually helped, what actually put a dent in my egg, was the fact that she simply existed as a transwoman, she was visible and proud. That existence challenged my preconcieved notions in a way that could not be resisted.
From there, it was a matter of time and continued exposure.
Another friend who explained to me what 'cisgender' meant, and who eventually started leaning into transmasc presentation. A romantic partner who came out as genderqueer and helped me understand the concept of 'nonbinary'. Transgender content creators who posted about their experiences online - special shoutout to demilypyro and assumptionprime, two of the most influential voices for me while I was figuring this out, but far from the only ones.
The shields of my egg were down. It was primed for hatching.
On April 22, 2022, I was looking up some fanart of Hex Maniac from Pokemon X/Y, who I had cosplayed at a convention three years before, and thinking of how good it felt to wear that dress. How good it felt to look like her. How good it felt… to be a girl.
-CRACK-
…Later that day, I went to my old City of Heroes friend, practically begging her for help. How do I know if HRT is what I want? How do I know if I should transition? How do I know if I'm really a girl?
She knew. She always knew. She tried to tell me, but I wasn't ready to listen. Not yet.
The point of all of this is that one transperson telling an egg they're trans is not a solution to the problem. The problem is that society has tried very hard to make us the outliers, to make us the weirdos, but society is losing that war. If you want to help the eggs of the world, be visible, be proud, and treat being trans as something normal and beautiful. Don't tell them unless they ask, just… be there.
Eggs hatch when they're ready, and not a moment sooner.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Oh, and by the way… She got her wish in the end. I wear skirts now.
#trans#transgender#transfem#transwoman#in this house we respect the Prime Directive#it's not universal (no rule is)#but it exists for a reason#egg discourse#trans thoughts

Preparations are steadily underway for the Valentine's Day event on February 14 (Rumor has it that it has already been completed!?). Anyway, please look forward to the greatly enhanced "SC5"!

Shoot and shoot! - Shooting Battle
In the shooting battle, A ( X ) button shootin toward the number that comes up! When the assistant appears, use the B ( O ) button to withdraw him or her!

One of the new commands for dance removal is this charge input. You can press and hold the button for the length of the "chu~~" or "he~~~y". Be careful not to press it for too long! In addition to the buttons, you can also use the directional keys!

This time, there is also a scene where a song is inserted in the interval before! In the song part, a karaoke-like character band appears. You don't have to enter the command, but you have to be careful with the timing. It is a scene that makes you feel the excitement of the musical!
Sing, dance and key in!
The system of imitating the enemy's dance is the same, but part of it has evolved! The B( X ) button peep for rescue is now "Hey! to make it easier to teach!

(Page 81)
The number of modes has also increased, and the situation is UP!
In this "Part 2", not only the story mode, but also some fun modes have been added. Like the previous work, this work is designed so that you can play it as many times as you like, but you can also enjoy dance battles in a different form! Also, two players can now play together. The rules are simple, with each person in charge of the directional keys and buttons, but it is difficult unless the two of you are in sync with each other! And there are costumes that you can only get if you complete the game. So, let's start looking for a partner now!
1P GAME/2P GAME
This is the mode in which you play the story. The game is now in full polygon, and the camera work and direction are even more elegant! I think you will be even more impressed than in the previous game, so please enjoy it! There is also a 2P mode with separate directional keys and buttons!
Ulala Dance
This is a new mode in which you answer 100 consecutive dance questions! You only get one chance, and you can't miss a series of tensions! If you answer correctly a specific number of times in a row, you will receive a Ulala costume!
Profiles
This is a mode where you can see the profiles of the characters that appeared and the characters that you rescued, which was also in the previous game. The goal is not only to complete the game, but also to win the game, which actually hides various secrets!
Dressing Room
In this mode, you can change Ulala's costume. Wear the costumes you can play each mode and set off on a revival! In addition to clothes, accessories such as microphones can also be changed!
February 14 Start on air!
REPORT 1 - Ulala Again! in Space Ship (Ulala Back in Action!)
Dancing troupe suddenly attacked!
The galactic universe, which has been at peace since the resolution of the previous incident, is now in the grip of evil once again! The spaceship Space Symphony has been taken over by the "Dancing Troupe (Rhythm Rouges)" that appeared out of nowhere! Space Channel 5 was the first to catch wind of this and sent Ulala to the scene to take on the Dance Troupe (Rhythm Rouges)!
Reported by Ulala in a new outfit! Nostalgic characters such as Space Japanese and Space Grandma also appear!
What is the purpose of the Dancing Troupe (Rhythm Rouges) that is taking away the dozen or so passengers one after another by making them dance!? And who is the person named Purge who explores it!?
SHADOW - Action expulsion that imprisons the attack of the Dancing Troupe (Rhythm Rouges). I've seen his deep voice and sharp dance somewhere! ?
Ulala-san! It's time to go!
REPORT 2 - Green Fear in Space Park (Nature's Revenge!)
Save the president!
President Peace, who was invited to a children's music festival at Space Park, was kidnapped by someone! Ulala heads for an emergency report in a field shaken by the outbreak of a major incident! She is confronted by the dancing troupe (Rhythm Rouges) again and Pudding from Channel 42 will challenge you to a guitar match with your pride as a space reporter!
It is a transformation in which children are caught in a plant that suddenly starts to move. Let's bring back everyone's smiles!
Appearing in the floating garden (Fountain Square) is her eternal (?) rival, Pudding. Can she win her first guitar competition?
PUDDING
A familiar reporter (former idol) from Space Channel 42. She has a rivalry with Ulala again, and appears at various places with her bodyguards!
PEACE
He is a space president who can sing and dance, working day and night to bring happiness to the entire galaxy!
(Page 82)
Enchanted full polygon ♡
In the previous game, polygon characters were superimposed on the background of the movie, but this time the background is also full polygon! This makes the camera work and directing really fun. Also, the rescued people now have facial expressions, which adds to the enchantment of Ulala. In particular, the DC version has evolved so much that it's hard to believe it's the same hardware! Technological advances are truly amazing!
Enjoy one parade after another! Play the game and experience the excitement!
Enchanted full polygon 1: The camera work is amazing!
The biggest change in full polygon is the camera work! In addition to moving, the dance battle between Ulala and the enemy, and the angle when the key characters appear, are very elaborate! Please take a look at the moving screen!
Enchanted full polygon 2: The production is also amazing!
Production other than camera work is also powered up! Various effects are now included depending on the play. For example, if the battle results are good, the rescuer will cheer up Ulala, and special camera work will be included. On the other hand, if your performance is low, you will get ......
The DC and PS2 versions are different!
There is almost no difference in content between the DC version and the PS2 version. However, if you are worried about having both hardware, Please look at this page for more information!
"Channel 5" is still DC (Dreamcast)! The DC version is exclusive to D-DIRECT, but a limited edition with headphones and a galaxy pouch will also be released! If you pre-order, you will also receive a galaxy (alarm) clock
Furthermore, only DC can be seen with beautiful graphics using VGA!
Trance vibrator compatible!
The PS2 version will bounce with a trance vibrator following "Rez"! You can also adjust the volume of BGM (Background Music) and SE (Sound Effect), which is not available in the DC version!
Vibrator support would be nice! You can also get the Galaxy (alarm)clock if you pre-order the PS2 version.
♪We are "The Dancing Troupe" ("We are known as the Rhythm Rogues")♪
The enemies that appear in place of the Moro aliens this time are the members of "The Dancing Troupe(Rhythm Rouges)". A mysterious dancing group led by a mysterious leader, Mr. Purge! A number of violent acts that make people dance with innocent people! As you progress through the story, you may find out what they are doing wrong! ?
ROBO (RHYTHM ROBOT)
A member of a Dancing Troupe (Rhythm Rouges). Accompanied by Shadow, it shoots at various places. it has the innocence to act without judging what has been harmed. it shoots dancing radio wave beams from its eyes.
PURGE
The leader of a Dancing Troupe(Rhythm Rouges) that dances in the shadows. He's always a silhouette when he appears, and no one knows who he really is. He seems to be plotting something by making the people of the world dance.
SHADOW
Action captain of the Dancing Troupe(Rhythm Rouges) . He takes care of the robots and takes the people who made them dance away on a transport boat. His trademark is a red muffler that stays on regardless of gravity.

Iris Apfel was finally recognised as a great, original fashion stylist in her 80s, when the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum in New York had a sudden gap in its 2005 exhibition schedule. Many curators knew Apfel, who has died aged 102, as a collector stashing away clothes, especially costume jewellery, both couture-high and street-market-low, so the institute asked to borrow some of her thousands of pieces.
When Apfel wore them herself, dozens at a time in ensembles collaged fresh daily, they had zingy pzazz, so she was invited to set up the displays. There was no publicity budget, and her name was modestly known only in the interior decor trade, yet the show, Rara Avis: Selections from the Iris Apfel Collection, became a huge success after visitors promoted it online. It toured other American museums, changing exhibits en route because Apfel wanted her stuff back so she could wear it.
Apfel’s grandfather had been a master tailor in Russia; her father, Samuel Barrel, supplied mirrors to smart decorators; her chic mother, Sadye (nee Asofsky), had a fashion shop. They lived out in rural Astoria, in the Queens borough of New York, where Iris was born.
As a child, her treat was a weekly subway trip to Manhattan to explore its shops, her favourites the junk emporia of Greenwich Village. She was short, plain and, until her teen years, plump, but she had style; and the owner of a Brooklyn department store picked her out of a crowd to tell her so. During the Depression all her family could sew, drape, glue, paint and otherwise create the look of a room, or a person, on a budget of cents – the best of educations.
She studied art history at New York University, then qualified to teach and did so briefly in Wisconsin before fleeing back to New York to work on Women’s Wear Daily. Furniture and fabrics were in short supply during and after the second world war, and Iris began to earn by sourcing antiques and textiles; if she could not find it, she could make or fake it cheaply.
In 1948 she married Carl Apfel, and they became a decorating team: he had the head for business and she the eye. Unable to find cloth appropriate to a period decor, Iris adapted a design from an old piece and had it woven in a friend’s family mill; she and Carl then set up Old World Weavers in 1952, commissioning traditional makers around the globe.
Photographs and home-movie footage from the next four decades showed Apfel, adorned with elan, haggling for one-off items in souks, flea markets and bric-a-brac shops. She is the most decorative sight in each shot, her ensembles put together with complex cadenzas atop an underlying, tailored, structure– they are like jazz – not a statement, but a conversation.
Apfel was the last of those 20th-century fashion exotics who presented themselves as installations. Although she wore a priest’s warm tunic to the White House (President Richard Nixon underheated the place), plus armfuls of cheap African bracelets and thigh-high boots, she was not an exhibitionist like the Marchesa Casati, and, with her vaudevillian comic timing, was far funnier than the imperious Vogue editor Diana Vreeland.
Also, she never ever bought full-price: her many rails and under-the-bed suitcases of couture were sale-price samples, chosen for their cut, fabric, skilled craftwork and colour dazzle (“Colour can raise the dead”). She might wear them over thrift shop pyjamas, or under a Peking Opera costume, with hawsers of necklaces atop. Money could not buy personal style, she said, prettiness withered, beauty could corrode the soul. All that really mattered was “attitude, attitude, attitude”.
Old World Weavers discreetly refurbished the White House under nine presidents, as well as grand hotels and private houses, before the Apfels sold the company in 1992. They retired to a quiet life in their apartment on Park Avenue, New York, its decor an extension of Apfel’s outfits (bad garment choices were cut up for cushions), and in a Palm Beach holiday home where the Christmas decoration collection stayed up all year round, along with cuddly toys and museum-class folk art. Clothes shopping, and the improvisation of an outfit, became Apfel’s daily ritual, as cooking might be to a gourmet.
But after the Met show, and a book, Rare Bird of Fashion (2007), Apfel was back in as much full-time employment as she could manage in her 80s and 90s (she had a hip replacement because she fell after stepping on an Oscar de la Renta gown). She was cover girl of Dazed and Confused, among many other publications, window display artist at Bergdorf Goodman, designer and design consultant – superb on eye-glasses; she wore large, owl-like, frames to stylise her aged face into a witty, unchanging, cartoon.
She took seriously her responsibilities to fashion students on her course at the University of Texas, teaching them about imagination, craft and tangible pleasures in a world of images.
Her career lasted – nothing was ever too late: in 2018, Iris Apfel: Accidental Icon, a book of memoir and sound style advice; in 2019, a contract with the model agency IMG; and last year, a beauty campaign for makeup with Ciaté London. The documentarian Albert Maysles trailed her for Iris (2014), filming this “geriatric starlet” – her term – as she dealt drolly with new high-fashion friends, or laughed at an “Iris” Halloween costume (glasses, a ton of bangles).
She watched as a storage loft of her antique treasures was listed in lots for sale, and as white-gloved assistants from museums that had begged a bequest boxed up her garments; she still had, and wore, the shoes from her wedding. All things, she said, were only on loan in this world, even to collectors. The point was to enjoy them to the full before bidding them good-bye.
Carl died in 2015.

After some time thinking, I decided that it would be best to show off these books one by one.
Yeah, I know but showing them all in a single post won't do any justice because these books are just that good!! ╰(✧∇✧╰)
So, to start off..
(ノ≧∀≦)ノ LET'S CHECK OUT VOLUME 1!!
⬑ (Thickness of Book)
⬑ (Opening Page)
⬑ (Content Page)
⬑ (Pages 4-5)
⬑ (Pages 6-7)

⬑ (Pages 256-257)
⬑ (Pages 290-291)
This book solely focuses on the brothers. As you see with Lucifer pages, each brother has their own tiny bio, costume preview, and chibi page to look at which I find adorable. After that, you get a snippet of their concept art? Not gonna lie. I was expecting a bit more on this because I was actually curious on how they look before their official appearance but I guess we will never see..
Then finally the card illustrations!! (´ ▽`).。o♡
There are 303 pages. Filled with card illustrations from the game. The quality is very well made to my delight. The pages are smooth and the colors are amazing!
My only complaint is that it sucks to not know who made each of these amazing works. I was hoping to see who are the artists to follow them online and find more art books from them but found none to my disappointment.
And of course, the cost for this book is $52.64 from nin-nin-game. Yes, this site is safe and legit as I've been buying from them for some time (this is where I mostly get my nendoroids) but be sure to read the description/details!! They do sell pre-owned items!!
And for those who ask me about these books. Yes. These books are worth it. Especially if your like me who dreads not getting the cards in time. As someone who refuses to spend money on gacha games that has no guarantee on getting them at a reasonable price. For me, this is the best way to save my sanity and money.
I love these books. I don't feel bad not getting the cards anymore like I use to. If I miss them, that's okay! I have these books. Same goes for Twisted Wonderland. I don't have to spend over $80 to get a card by chance.
So, yeah, sorry for the ramble. As you see, I get really mad about the prices of gacha games. It's ridiculous. I remember trying to get Vil Birthday Boy card and never again. And mind you this is before the pity pull but even with the pity; there's still no guarantee getting the card because you might pull someone else's card who shouldn't be in the banner. -glares at Jade, Floyd, and Rook-
( ´ ▽ ` )ノ Look forward to Volume 2!! I plan to post that in a week or two so watch out!!

She’d meticulously recreate outfits from her favorite games or shows, spending hours on the details, and getting her friends to join in on group cosplays

Summary: Andrew and Amber get their baby Lucy ready for her first Halloween with Amber anxious about Lucy finally taking her first steps. Lucy is able to take her first steps after trick or treating with her parents excited to witness this.
Words: 1196
October 31, 2023
“Okay baby you got this, you are strong, you are confident, and you can do anything you set your mind to.”
Andrew enters the living room to see what all the commotion is about, “What are you doing?”
Amber looks up from the floor and Andrew sees the dark makeup she put on to go with her Wicked Witch of the West costume. She sees he is already in his Scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz costume with only his hat missing.
And to follow the theme their 1-year-old daughter Lucy is Dorothy with a baby blue flannel dress and a red bow headband pulling her short dark brown waves back. The mother daughter duo are on the floor of the living room with Amber sitting criss cross in front of Lucy who is using her baby walker. Amber is filming the baby with her phone hoping this is the first time their daughter walks but that is not the case due to Lucy still clinging to the walker.
Amber sighs and stops recording letting Lucy roam around freely, “I’m trying to get her to take her first steps but why walk when you have a colorful toy do it for you instead?”
Lucy giggles as she pushes the walker at high-speed causing her to tumble on her knees to the floor. Andrew smiles at his adorable baby before picking her up and carrying her to sit with him on the couch. Amber stands up and groans in pain.
“Oh god when did my knees turn 80?” Amber sits on the couch rubbing her knees under her black dress, “All the books say 12 months is the average time a baby starts to walk and her birthday was last week.”
Lucy's Birthday Here
Andrew kisses Lucy’s cheek, “You know you can’t plan her first steps, right? With babies they are full of surprises, and they don’t keep calendars.”
“We’re super busy and I can’t have her taking her first steps in daycare I’ll wallow in shame and regret. Would you want to miss that momentous event in our child’s life?”
“No, I would not.” Andrew holds Lucy under her armpits so she she can stand on his legs while facing him, “Bambina, let’s make a deal if you take your first steps in front of us at home and not at daycare, I will grant you any wish your heart desires. Do you understand me? Cammina solo per mama e papa, si?”
Lucy is busy teething her toy to listen to her dad causing Amber to laugh, “You know the wizard didn’t grant wishes, right? He just gave them items you can buy online and told Dorothy the key to going home was on her feet the whole movie.”
“Then what was the whole point of the road trip?”
“You’ll have to see Wicked to understand.”
Andrew faces the baby with a smile, “Are you excited for your first Halloween Lucia? You get to dress up and get free candy from strangers. I know your mama is excited to dress up and get candy with you.”
Amber and Andrew consider this their first Halloween with Lucy since she was born on October 20th and they spent last Halloween exhausted from taking care of their newborn daughter. Now with Lucy turning 1 they decided to take her trick or treating so they can spend time as a family.
Amber chuckles, “Well since I’m too old to go trick or treating I have to go out dressed with my baby so I don’t look ridiculous going alone.” Amber gasps before taking Lucy from Andrew and holding her against her hip, “Okay my little good witch we’re gonna take you trick or treating for the first time yay! You get candy for free just for looking so cute and you are already the cutest kid on the block!”
Lucy giggles before Andrew smiles standing up and joining his family, “Now you can’t eat candy yet but we’ll let you eat it vicariously through us. After we x ray it of course.”
Amber smiles at Lucy who gives a wide toothless smile, “Let’s get some candy baby lets go!” Amber puts Lucy inside the stroller while Andrew puts his hat on. They walk out the door ready to have their first Halloween as a family.
Midnight
“How can one kid get so much candy?” Andrew asks sitting on the couch checking the 100th piece of candy from the basket that is overflowed with treats for Lucy. Meanwhile, Lucy is playing with a stuffed puppy with her mom on the floor still clad in their costumes. The TV in front of them is playing The Nightmare Before Christmas.
“Because this one kid is the sweetest and cutest kid anybody ever saw.” Amber giggles putting the stuffed puppy in Lucy’s lap before standing up and joining Andrew on the couch to help with the candy, “Raisins? Would it kill them to buy quality candy? Halloween is for rotting teeth not boosting metabolism.”
Andrew chuckles as he inspects a snickers bar, “Well here this one is good, enjoy.”
Amber takes the mini bar and pops it in her mouth to chew before inspecting a skittles. While they inspect the candy Lucy begins to stand up on her own with her parents oblivious before carefully taking a step forward towards the TV. Amber has skittles in her mouth when she turns her head towards Lucy causing her to spit the candy out in shock.
Amber slaps her husband’s arm to get his attention, “Andrew!”
“Oh god she’s walking!” He hurriedly digs around his pockets while Lucy takes her second step as Amber laughs in joy kneeling down to help Lucy, “Where’s my phone?”
“I got it, I got it!” Amber quickly pulls out her phone and starts recording with a wide smile as Lucy gives a wide smile with her attention towards the screen causing her dad to kneel down behind his wife to wave around the puppy plush, “Walk to mommy Lucy. Don’t walk to Jack, walk to mommy and daddy come on baby, come on.”
“You got this bambina, vieni da mama e papa.” He makes the plush squeak to get Lucy’s attention. The baby turns to her parents with a quizzical expression before taking a small step causing Amber to gasp in wonder, “Yes you are doing so good baby I’m so proud of you! Come on just a little bit further.”
“Do it for mommy.” Amber encourages her daughter in a baby voice still recording, “Walk for mommy and daddy sweetheart, you can do it come on!”
Lucy stands still for a moment to find her footing before taking another step followed by another until she finally reaches her proud parents who stop recording. Amber laughs in pride picking their daughter up who laughs with them.
“Thank you for listening to your daddy, you are so getting a Tesla for your 16th birthday that is a promise.” Amber kisses Lucy’s cheek happy that she was here to watch this milestone along with her dad who takes the baby complimenting her in Italian before kissing his wife as they keep celebrating.

🧑🏻🎤 can I see the super six at decades party please, I'll let you choose 🫶🏻
Thank you for the ask!! (I really thought I posted this the other night. 😑 ahsjksl) I went with an 80s party and this is technically all of them meeting up at the brownstone beforehand. But I hope you love!! 💕
June, dare I say? You look lovelier than ever,” Pez greets with a flourish as he leans in to place a kiss on her cheek. She’s got her hair teased up and her face covered in bright makeup; neon eyeshadow and hot pink lipstick. Her 80s evening gown is sequined and hideous by modern standards but she pulls it off somehow. She grins, clearly already tipsy.
“Such a charmer,” June giggles, her other hand stretched behind her and held by Nora, who is busy pulling Bea in for a half hug. “You look great too, Pez.”
“Well, you know, the occasion called for a little extra, I thought.” Pez’s hair is bright blue, his makeup done up like Boy George, with a full, custom-made costume to match. Henry grins as June’s eyes fall on him next.
“Oh my God, Ziggy Stardust!”
“At your service,” Henry greets, pulling her in for a hug. Alex had done Henry’s makeup and sprayed his hair orange before shoving him out of their bedroom to get himself ready. He’s been keeping his costume a secret and Henry is incredibly eager to see what Alex has been planning. The only hint Henry has is that Alex has been growing his stubble out for a couple of days and skipped his last haircut.
At that moment, Henry hears footsteps on the stairs and turns to see Alex descending. He looks phenomenal in ripped jeans, a tight white tank top, and a black leather jacket. His hair has been straightened and styled so that it looks feathered, falling in perfect, fluffy waves. Several pieces of jewellery, including a dangling cross earring, completes the look. Henry’s mouth goes completely dry.
Alex grins as he greets everyone before getting to Henry near the back of the room.
“Hey, baby.” Alex leans up to kiss Henry, still smiling into it as Henry tries frantically to get his brain back online.
“You’re George Michael.”
“I mean, he was the inspiration, but I’m still Alex.” He leans back, assessing the look on Henry’s face. “Your Alex.”
“Alex,” Henry hisses as Alex’s hand slides down Henry’s side to his arse. “We have an entire evening to get through.”
“Hm. Shame,” Alex murmurs. “Because you look hot as fuck.” He presses a harsh kiss to Henry’s lips, like the demon he is, then turns to address the rest of the room. “Are we all ready to go?”
“One celebratory shot as a group, then we leave?” Pez asks, looking around the room as everyone nods in agreement. He retrieves the good vodka from the freezer and pours five shots (lemonade for Bea) before they all circle around for the toast.
“To the most successful Okonjo Foundation fundraiser ever!” Alex exclaims. The other five raising their glasses in tandem and shout their agreement before taking the shots. Henry can’t stop staring at the earring dangling from Alex’s ear and the shadow it’s throwing from the kitchen light onto the long line of his neck. Alex looks over, his eyes widening briefly before a knowing smirk takes over his face.
“To the party!” Pez shouts, slamming his shot glass down. The rest of the room erupts in similar cries as they all start to herd towards the door. Henry grabs Alex’s arm, pulling him back before they can get too far.
“I just want you to know that I’ll be waiting all night to bring you back here, strip off this costume, and take you apart, piece by piece,” Henry says in a low tone that never fails to work in his favour. He watches Alex’s pupils dilate and his throat work as he swallows.
“Did Bowie and George Michael ever hook up?”
“Unclear,” Henry replies, reaching up to run a hand over Alex’s puffier-than-usual hair, careful not to disturb it too much. “But, they will tonight.”
He winks and gives Alex a light nudge before turning to pat David goodbye and flip off the light as they exit the townhouse. Eighties night was a brilliant idea of Pez’s, but Henry adding “Faith” to his playlist a month ago was inspired; at least in his humble opinion.

At long last, my Our Lady of the Passion cosplay is ready for cons!
Based on this picture from Pinterest (google is finding fuck all elsewhere, but if someone knows the source I'll add it.)
The tank top is from Lockedtombmemes' Redbubble store.
The jacket is here, though I've painted the back with some fabric paint. I used the non-heat treating kind and just sort of sketched out the letters with a dark pencil to make sure the placement wasn't too awful.
The dog tags I'm not quite satisfied with because I put too little information on them, and an updated one is still waiting in the mail (I wanted to put the Wing and Cell on it, and had to reread some chapters to verify) There's loads of places to get them, but I used these.
The machetes I don't have many pictures of (I don't have a full length mirror to show them properly strapped to the legs.), but I went a little overbudget to the point it would probably have been cheaper to buy real machetes (but not as welcomed at conventions!) Still, they were from here, in case anyone wants some big ol' 27 inch props instead of the dinky ones from Spirit Halloween.
Gloves were these ones, and they fit my big ol' butch hands just fine. Nothing special there.
For my TACTICAL BLOOD OF EDEN FANNY PACK (which I already wear all the time, but changed colors to match the costume anyways) is this.
The boots are fairly ubiquitous and seem to come from various online sellers, sometimes in men's sizes, sometimes in women's, but this store has them up to a women's size 12, which I needed because I'm lorge.
Now, the mask I'm most proud of! I don't have any experience making costume bits, but I found this one meant for airsoft, which has TWO FUCKING FANS?!?! hidden in the filters to cool my face in the sweltering 80 degree Texas winters.
But! You'll notice the goggles aren't tinted, so I had to figure out how to do them myself to hide my glasses, for REASONS, but this little kit was pretty simple. There's a gluey side, so you just spray the goggles with some water, then slap them down and spend like... a fucking hour or two squeezing out the air bubbles, but aside from a single wrinkle, I think they turned out great! The red also provides some good contrast.
Now, the pants were pretty simple. These come with knee pads, and the black camo looks really nice with the gray coat and black shirt. It did take two attempts to get some that fit (One seller had the XL listed as having a 44 inch waist, equivalent to a women's 18, but labeled elsewhere with the true size of 36 inches, the bastards.), but where I got silly was the straps.
I got this tactical belt, which seems to have tipped the number of tactical things I can search for before search engines decide you're a bootlicker, and intended to use a single bike strap on each leg to hold the other end, which, well... two problems.
The blades were now being bent by my massive fucking quads because I've been doing a shitload of exercise to get fit, because apparently all I needed to get into the gym five times a week was wanting to look like my specialist book blorbo.
I couldn't bend my fucking hips.
So! I ended up ordering a total of SIX STRAPS for my legs, pairing two up high to fit the wider part of my leg, and a single one down near the knee. The upper ones I later looped through the belt to hold them up, which also doubles for making the trousers into a fucking cod piece, which, hey, some people like that. The lower ones were led up by the knee pad, so I had a somewhat stable set of six straps and one belt, which is dangerously close to becoming a Nomura-era Final Fantasy character, but hey, I gave myself carpal tunnel marathoning all the Kingdom Hearts games last year, so that's not a problem.
All in all, it probably cost me... well, more money than it should have, but it's all pretty quality stuff that I'm sure will be very toasty if we ever happen to have another winter down south.
Also, last note... boots of any kind are so much more comfortable with insoles. They don't have to be expensive, but your feet and knees will thank you at conventions when they have a good cushion under your heels.
That's about all I've learned putting this together! I'm 5'9 and around 250 pounds, give or take, so most of this is men's garments, which means the pockets are DEEP AS FUCK. Perfect for collecting small rocks.
Just something to keep in mind.
(See y'all at the conventions. I promise my Yorkshire accent will be less goofy by then, but I can't promise I'll be as nasally as the audiobook.)
