And needs too much petrol! Nowadays the Wankel technic ( rotary piston engine))is done by Mazda and in Snowmobiles and so on it works..

I'd probably have to read the printed version and web version back to back at some point to note all the differences but... ough

#sorry i'm going to be excited about this comic for the next month #nofna #okay having finished this now--#and sorry if this doesn't make sense to anyone who's completely unfamiliar with this comic in advance-#the 'popcorn ending' (printed version) is nice to see but i think the web version hits harder. if that makes sense #so i'm kinda tied on which ending i 'prefer'- i think both are good though #also considering i've read the web version a good 4-5 times and the printed version only once- i probably can't make that judgement yet #easy answer- i do like Nutsedge :] so it's nice to see the ending where nothing bad happens to her #but also- NT suddenly becoming a greenie-esque villain out of nowhere felt a little jarring #as well as SV suddenly turning a corner and becoming a 'good guy' (arguable)- considering the first three books are about #/him being too stubborn to change or accept any outside worldviews . Him suddenly coming to his senses felt out of place #<- probably biased because i like characters being bitter to the end and ultimately destroyed by their own hubris #the web version is probably‚ objectively‚ a bit better #but -#(spoilers- if you're planning to drop ~70 bucks on getting these books)#the conceit of SV actually perfecting his style‚ using it once‚ and then immediately getting tooth-brained- was pretty cool #assuming it's meant to parallel him spending months tormented by trying to perfect it while something's still missing-#and then dying before he can narrate it to the audience‚ so that we never know what he figured out.#hard to articulate these thoughts but tl;dr- popcorn ending also had a lot to think about

I wonder if, once we grow old, there will be movies and books and shows about the times we are living in written with the same kind of warm, cozy nostalgia as we treat the early 20th century with, or if we have created a time that is so thoroughly unappealing it will disappear from our cultural perception

#litchi.txt #i never know what to tag these actually #im sick again so i ended up watching some of my favourite comfort movies #and it got me thinking about the amount of movies that were recorded in the 70s that are set in 1900s to 1920s #that kind of warm cozy glow taht we cling to #there is a lot of nostalgia around the 90s and early 2000s but I wonder if there will be something to cling to from the 2010s and '20s #(personally I have a lot of nostalgia tied to covid but like thats just me I think. my ND brain enjoyed the break and escapism)

#oc: sophia a. naumenko/sonya #I'm back with another moodboard for another little girl #i usually call ocs my daughters dont ask why #she's a rather old oc way pass 10 years old but i love revisiting old characters and give them a little upgrade bc my writing at the time #was shit or i didnt do enough research for them #i'm actually quite proud of myself she's the only oc who's over 30 years and was married #and divorced lol #her lore is crazy around those years #and she's my second jewish character #the pastries at the bottom left are hamantaschen they're served on purim and she was born during purim katan #i found this out yesterday when i checked the calendars but i'm happy with that detail she deserves to be born on a joyous holiday #although she's a hellsing oc her story is set during the dawn timeline bc as a history nerd i cant keep myself away from ww2 #and the cold war #at least i have reasons to research the 60s and the 70s more #and since deep down i know that the dawn will never be finished i got a lot of room for worldbuilding and headcannons #bc i'm not that tied to cannon events #the old version of her had some supernatural abilities but now I decided that she'll be a regular human who's just a damn good sniper #it's way more fun to have a mortal character thrown into this story and setting and see how she interacts with all the stuff going on #and this also means she had to keep her involvement with the organization a secret to her ex-husband #i'm gonna put her in the tags yall have some damn good and pretty ocs out there its like releasing your child at the playgrounds #hellsing oc #my moodboards :3

Does literally anyone remember a meta post that was posted around the time AHWM came out talking about how Yancy's real full name might be Giovanni / Giavanni because of dialects and how like. Italian / brooklyn families use shortened versions of their community members names? I barely remember what it actually said but it was SUCH a good and cool detailed meta post and I read it so long ago and have never been able to find it since. I wanna save it so bad
