He has a very strange idea and he's got strange concepts but they work. And we can get parts for his ideas from regular parts supplies to do it and we'll have to start making parts. This is a very inexpensive frame for an older type model car you get the idea everything is bolt on and that's all you do and as a matter of fact you want us to keep it simple with the ladder frame like this and we can do that there's a couple others that work pretty good he had a picture of when it's not really a bolt up though and it looks kind of lame and it really is you put it up before this is a true bolt up frame it's got a couple other ideas that work for me
1. A true bolt up frame meaning that you're going to bolt it together and it will be in a box and it will fit in a small box much smaller than we said probably one foot by 2 1/2 ft by 6 or 7 ft the car itself will always end up to be about 10 ft long no he'll be about 14 ft long and yeah you're both together. And
2. Since these are kit cars they're not replicas people won't bother us we're going to make every single chassis to start and we're going to replicate cars and we'll pick several models they'll all be the same chassis pretty much the exact same chassis and each and every chassis you'll be able to have a minute engine configuration or not and it'll be pulled up and the holes will be pre-drilled for each type of replica or kit car and when you do it that way it seems a lot of time a mass producer and we're going to make it all about the size of the Corvette frame slightly larger and that's the new stingray.
3. We are thinking front wheel drive is a better way to go and we can get those large motors we can get them from Chevy Ford and Mazda Nissan all sorts of places now it's mostly Chevy and Ford and Dodge and a few others Lincoln and some of those places have larger motors that work as front-wheel drive vehicles and we're going to go ahead and we're going to use those and we're going to make sure that we do drive in the front and we're going to make metal panels you're not hard to make and you just make a molded stamp the only three inches thick and it takes you know one session and you don't have to make a whole bunch of molds it's really a nice way to do it and we want to go through this as soon as we can there's several other ideas but this is probably the best it's really going to be like a bolt together car and we will hopefully produce one for Ikea and it would be the same chassis and then boxes but it would be their car like a Volvo they already like it
4. Each and every vehicle will have its own designation for what it was that what your replicating of course and we'll put it on the insignia that come with the original car and in smaller letters you have to put replica and it has to be a certain font and a certain size but we can do it stylish so it looks cool and as a matter of fact he says and you can put two words but you have to have the word replica so you put a name and we do have a name and he gave it to us and she has it we know what it is and you call it a replica it's a really snazzy idea and it's insanity but it works.
5. We're going to start with supercars and sports cars and we will have probably a minimum horsepower of 300 and they're going to be world famous very quickly everyone will want to assemble one and say that they did it and it's going to be great we're going forward with this idea now.
6. The interiors for mash in function and appearance real close it's going to be somewhat standardized but we'll make modifications to accent the different types of vehicles the colors and the pieces that attach onto the dash and things like that.
7. Everything is going to be pretty much performance it's not going to be slow. And when you put a 300 horsepower front wheel drive vehicle on a Corvette stingray and with our metal panels and our frame and it would go
-0 to 60 in 3 seconds
-the quarter mile 7.9 seconds
-top speed 380 mph
We're not going to put all seasons but we will put a pattern but your son had on the Kia they'll be a little profile and the wheels will be high performance alloy steel and you'll be able to drive it in the winter and in the snow in the ice in the rain in Florida and Los Angeles both of them have a problem when it gets wet and it will handle very well and we use the right rubber that he had and he had to look for it by the way so certain speed tire a certain type of rubber and it works very very well and we can get those really inexpensively this vehicle will be very inexpensive there's going to be probably no frills and you can put them in yourself and it'll be places for it because it'll be a replica
I only get going on this idea I think it's a terrific idea there's not enough labor for people to do it in factories eventually they'll be popping up though very quickly some people are trying to make these and they know how to do it and they're actually getting some progress but we have to use metal nobody likes the plastic they're partying out panels from all sorts of cars most of the panels are damaged and they're not any good really so you have to start over and when you do that it takes a while no stamping these things it's very quick it does not take much time and we do enjoy the idea we're going to get going on this is wonderful
Thor Freya ironically the size of the car is almost the exact size as the Koenig I believe I can make mine faster because of that fact
Yeah that's how it is this is great what an idea and it is a stupendous idea so I might list the cars that we are interested in manufacturing. One of them would be the D'Agostino Pantera and another is the Ford GT40 additionally the Corvette stingray and also there are like three models of Ferrari they're different sizes but only by about 6 in in length completely none of them are beyond 6 in one way or the other and the new Lamborghini countach and also there are several fast cars ppl really like is it Cobra Ford It is not a GT-40 and it's not a mustang It looks like a concept car but they made it for one year and it looks like the older one but it is very very hot and it's usually shiny and too shiny but we tone it down and also several Asian supercars we would be replicating and we've doing that a lot in Asia but you can order it from the same company and it's the same shipping cost. We have more of course we have a bunch of Bugatti and we also might even sneak in our own coop we will be replicating certain rolls twice which are not very big they made a whole bunch of them that size and it's recently as 2015 and they have the higher sidewall on there wonderful and their coops but they look like the old fashioned rolls and Bentley as well we want to do the SUV on the four-door Porsche but we will be doing the Porsche 959 most likely 911 928 all the ones our son likes and daughter And they'll be so many cars he won't be able to take which one and he says well he has some favorites and they help design them eventually we might replicate the Cena that we have to hold off on that so we're going to start we've always probably start with the obscure Lamborghini and we'll start with the standard Ferrari the GT-40 prior to the race car look and it'll be a little bit towards our street look for the intake and it'll be known as a different type of car because front wheel drive it will have the air intake in front it will have handling and bad weather and yeah the mid engine are not as good but they're better than the rear engine so we're only ahead with it and you have to have all wheel drive another point to make is
6. All of these will be four wheel independent suspension so you can stay in the road all of them are going to be from the ground up every single nut and bolt are brand new they're all guarantee and warrantied and we will have several assembly factories you can purchase it fully assembled or the full warranty and guarantee all of them will have Dot cards safety plus I will going with a level two I believe and he says maybe level one with an option for two and that's required and we get that
We're going ahead with it right now
Zig Zag
Hehe I know you can pull it off but this is a great idea and holy cow this is fun and people might buy the chassis we can sell it separately in the motor and they might put their own fiberglass body on it's going to be intense it really is
Hera
We made a mold out of the melted metal and it works pretty good so we might be making those and we could buy the chassis in the motor this is intense

How to Fix Burnt Grass From a Fire Pit
If you've enjoyed many cozy nights around your fire pit, you might have noticed some burnt grass in your lawn. This is a common issue for many fire pit enthusiasts, but fortunately, it's not too difficult to remedy. Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you fix burnt grass from a fire pit and prevent it from happening again.
1. Assess the Damage
Before taking any action, examine the extent of the damage. If the burnt area is small, it might recover on its own with a little care. However, larger or severely burnt patches will need more attention.
2. Remove Dead Grass
Use a rake to gently remove the burnt grass and any debris from the affected area. Be careful not to damage the healthy grass surrounding the burnt spot. Removing the dead grass helps prevent disease and makes way for new growth.
3. Aerate the Soil
Burnt grass often means compacted soil, which can hinder new growth. Use a garden fork or aerator to poke holes in the soil. This will improve air circulation and allow water and nutrients to penetrate the roots more effectively.
4. Apply Topsoil
Add a thin layer of topsoil or compost to the damaged area. This provides a nutrient-rich base for new grass to grow. Spread it evenly and gently pat it down to ensure good contact with the soil.
5. Seed the Area
Choose a grass seed that matches your existing lawn. Scatter the seed evenly over the prepared area, then lightly rake it to mix the seed with the topsoil. Press the seeds into the soil by walking over the area or using a lawn roller.
6. Water Regularly
Water the seeded area lightly but frequently. The soil should remain consistently moist but not waterlogged. Depending on the weather, you may need to water several times a day initially. As the grass starts to grow, gradually reduce the frequency of watering while increasing the amount of water per session.
7. Protect the Area
To give your new grass the best chance to grow, keep foot traffic to a minimum. Consider using stakes and string or a temporary barrier to mark off the area and protect it from pets and people.
8. Monitor Growth
Within a few weeks, you should see new grass sprouting. Continue to water and care for the new grass until it matches the surrounding lawn. Once it has reached a height of about 3 inches, you can start mowing it, but be sure to set your mower to a higher setting to avoid stressing the young grass.
9. Prevent Future Damage
To avoid future burnt grass from your fire pit, consider these preventive measures:
Fire Pit Placement: Place your fire pit on a non-flammable surface such as a patio, gravel area, or fire pit mat. Avoid using the fire pit directly on grass.
Heat Shield: Use a heat shield or fire pit pad underneath your fire pit to protect the grass from intense heat.
Water Barrier: Surround the fire pit with a ring of sand or gravel to create a barrier between the fire and the grass.
Regular Maintenance: Keep the area around the fire pit clean and free of debris to reduce the risk of accidental fires.
Conclusion
Burnt grass from a fire pit can be unsightly, but with the right care and preventive measures, you can restore your lawn to its former glory. By assessing the damage, removing dead grass, aerating the soil, applying topsoil, seeding, and watering regularly, you'll encourage new grass growth. Additionally, taking steps to prevent future damage will help maintain a healthy and beautiful lawn while you enjoy your fire pit.

ok i hate making actual post additions but i was simply putting Too Much in the tags, so imma lay it out as briefly as i can
my kneejerk reaction was actually watchog - built-in hi vis, cautious nature, humanoid, fit the bill right? but then I realised the lil buddy is only just over a meter tall, which is way below the standard seat fittings
(i tried finding the original forum but the OP has since been banned, and i think it's hence been deleted? otherwise i wouldn't put in this amount of effort)
now i haven't been personally trained on the counterbalance type forklift, especially not a hyundai one, but i work close enough with them to have a rough gist of their requirements, and i ended up writing criteria lol:
binocular vision. depth perception is key. their primary sense should be sight, because as cool as an echolating driver is, the truck itself is fairly noisy. was fairly relaxed with this one bc pictures aren't always clear on facial layout
Ideally single-brained. I don't have experience observing hive minds operating MHE, but it's best to play it safe
Humanoid. The minimum requirement would be 2 arms and 2 legs that can comfortably operate foot and hand controls with enough dexterity and finesse to maintain full control, including being able to turn in the seat to look backwards. Looking at the model diagrams, limbs would also ideally need to be human-proportioned too. sorry darmanitan
- This criterium also includes height and weight; I can't find any direct maximums for weight, but the body should fit within the confines of the truck (yes i could calculate it. no i don't want to. i have a flight tomorrow). for height, i've used the lax-ish boundaries of 5 to 7 feet.
- Excessively large tails or shells will disqualify candidates as they move the driver's centre of mass from the seat to the pedals. sorry, i'm sticking to the model laid out by OP, assuming no modifications have been made as per safety regulation standards
No open biological hazards. We're talking open flames, toxic fumes, excessive spikes or even slime. A clean truck is a safe truck
Optimal working conditions must be relatively permanent. No mega evolutions or fish pokemon or plants needing sunlight every 10 minutes idk
Also working under the assumption you'd want an easy-to-find hire (non-mystic/legendary/otherwise exclusive pokemon), I figured height would be the easiest to start with, then whittle away from there. I let the weight criteria bog me down too much at first but most (most!!) pokemon have mass roughly proportional to height. Remember, whoever is hired must at least be granted hi-vis and safety shoes!
An understanding of consequence and danger. we don't want any short-tempered pokemon or ghosties driving for shits n giggles. this is a multi-ton vehicle!
by extension, i've also taken into account natural behaviours. if a pokemon hates sudden noises, strangers etc. it's unfit for the job
Candidates that Require Deeper Background Checks:
(not enough info):
- grapploct
- hisuian decidueye
- quaquaval
- inteleon
Candidates that Need Physician Approval:
- Gardevoir (obstruction between eyes)
Candidates that May Require Extra Training:
(due to personal habits)
- hypno
- electivire
- ditto (failed identity check, please review)
- cofagrigus
- blaziken
Good Candidates for Rural Sites:
- golduck
- ursaring
Chosen Candidates:
- passimian
- rillaboom
Both excellent team players and enthusiastic workers
Honourable Mentions:
- machamp: "hands react faster than it can think" Uh oh. and "terrible at delicate work"
- zoroark: illusionary =/= proper transformation
- decidueye: "panics when surprised" can't be having that. a good driver is calm in emergencies
- machoke: top tier candidate. consider altering forktruck model or making appropriate seat adjustments for this entrant, who is an inch too short for my arbitrary boundaries
The only person using the new Pokemon forums correctly
#this was very silly and fun and i enjoyed it#pokemon#my trash#i guess. i put a good chunk of work into it#and shoutout to wren and his roommate for helping!!#i know aspects of it felt predictable but. OP listed a truck built to be driven by humans. the safest driver has to be human-shaped#edit: trust me if u think i haven't considered a fave - i have. most likely is they didn't pass the height criterion#i didn't spend hours on bulbapedia to do a half-ass job

Installing A Glass Partitions For Your Office
One customer asked "Why is it so hard to design and put up a glass block wall/bar?" This unique glass wall product, despite being challenging, is growing in popularity in homes, businesses, as well as commercial buildings. These five steps will help create a fashionable glass wall Double glazed acoustic glass partitions Manchester
Step 1. Step 1. Which size wall would you like?
These glass walls can be used indoors or outdoors. They are most commonly used to create partitions between rooms or shower walls. These glass walls can also be used as bars in kitchens and recreation areas. When designing and choosing the material, it is important to consider the dimensions of the wall.
There are many sizes and shapes for glass block bars. Most bars are 40 inches tall (five courses of eight-inch blocks placed on top one another). The countertop can be placed once the block work is complete. The countertop can be made more sturdy and stylish by being either angled, rounded or L-shaped. The bars should be attached one to one wall for added support.
You can make glass block walls in any size. The maximum dimensions of any section or panel will vary depending on whether it is 3 1/8" (or 3 7/8") and if it will be within or outside the building. Walls are typically constructed with a thickness of 3 7/8 inches. This is a quick guide on how big you can make your wall without any support structure between your glass panels.
1. Maximum dimensions for interior walls panel: 3 7/8 inches thick block- Wall area – 250 sq. feet. - Maximum height - 20 feet - Maximum width - 25 feet
2. Outside walls panel maximum dimensions: 3 7/8 inches thick block 144 sq. feet. - Maximum height - 20 feet - Maximum width - 25 feet
Step 2: On what type of floor, partial, or base will the block wall be placed? What is the minimum base width to support the block-wall?
As long as the surface is stable, and not less than 3 to 4 inches thick, bars and block walls can be placed anywhere. Block walls average 12 pounds per square foot. Concrete, fiberglass, or acrylic shower pans are all good choices. Interior walls with wood joists are good as long as the floor is level. You can place the block on knee walls (also known as half walls) with metal studs underneath and drywall supports.
Step 3: How do I put together my glass block walls/bars? Can panel sections be made?
Installing spacers, systems and pre-made blocks can all make it easier to build block walls. Let's look at each method.
o Glass Block Spacers - In the past blocks were laid by mason contractors. These skilled craftsmen can be expensive and difficult to find. To lay blocks uniformly, you can use any type of plastic spacer. You can also use the spacers to hold the wall or bar in place while building it. Spacers can be used to make straight or curved walls.
o Installation systems – The new vinyl stack system uses vertical and horizontal vinyl spacers between blocks to align them, and hold them in place during assembly. Silicone is used to bond the blocks to the vinyl spacers within the block wall. This system can be used both indoors and outdoors. You can finish the joints with silicone or special tile grout.
Pre-fabricated blocks sections or pre-made blocks sections. Block sections can be preassembled using the vinyl stack installation system, and then placed on the ground. These sections can often be manufactured by glass panel panel manufacturers. This saves both time and money. It is important to consider who will build the wall, and where it will be placed on the site.
Step 4: Selecting the right shapes, sizes and colors for your glass block walls and bars.
There are many lighting options available for your bar or wall. These include block sizes, shapes and colors, as well as patterns. These are just a few examples of the many options:
o Glass blocks can be cut to the sizes and thicknesses required for bars and walls. Most blocks available in the United States are in American sizes. American-sized blocks are available in the following sizes: 4"x8, 6'x6, 6'x8, 6’x8, 6'x8, 6’x8, 6’x8, 6’x8, 6’x8, 6’x8, 6’x8, 6’x8, 6’x8", 6”x8, 6”x8, 6”x8, 6”x8”, 6”x8, 6”x8, 6”x8”, 6”x8, 6”x8, 6”x8, 6”x8, 6”x8, 8", 8", 8", 8", 8", 8", 8"x8", 8", 8"x8", 8", 8"x8", and 12"x12"x12"x12"x8"x8"x8", 8"x8", 8", 8"x8", 8", 8"x8"x8"x8"x8"x8", 8”x8"x8"x8"x8", 8", 8"x8"x8", 8”x8”, 8”x8”, 8”x8”, 8”x8”, 8”x8”, 8”x8”, 8”x8”x8”x12”x12”x12”x12”x12”x12”x12”x12”x12”x12”x8”. You can turn corners, create 45-degree angles, make walls with radius walls or add a bullnose at the ends of walls or bars. Blocks are nominally smaller in size than their actual dimensions, which makes it possible to attach them to each other with mortar joints. For example, an 8" x8" block measures 7 3/4" x 7 3/4". There are blocks for walls and bars that can be made in three or four inches thickness. Although thinner blocks (3 1/8") cost less, there are more design options available for these blocks.
Blocks available in a variety of patterns, designs, colors. There are many blocks that can offer privacy, style, and design options. Blocks are available in standard and custom colors as well as tints and artistically-decorated murals to match any interior design style. Visit our block website to see all the options.
o Lighting your blocks - Nowadays, it is more common to place lights behind glass walls. You can also use a fiber optic system or standard rope lighting to add extra impact to your block wall.
Step 5 - Don’t stress too much about the four previous steps. Contact a supplier, manufacturer, and installer of glass panels. Block specialty companies offer design, supply, and wall fabrication services. They will usually come to your home or business and measure the space, then design the best layout possible for you. They offer a guarantee.

Are you tired of water pooling around your house or basement? A French drain is a simple solution that can prevent water damage to your property. In this article, we will guide you on how to install a French drain, step by step.
What is a French drain?
A French drain is a trench filled with gravel or rock that redirects surface and groundwater away from your house or property. The drain is sloped downward, allowing water to flow towards a designated outlet, such as a dry well or storm drain. A French drain can prevent water from damaging your home's foundation, basement, or yard.
Step 1: Plan the French drain installation
Before you start digging, plan the French drain installation. Identify the area where the water is pooling and determine where you want the drain to lead. Make sure the slope is adequate to allow the water to flow away from your property.
Step 2: Dig the trench
Using a shovel or a trenching machine, dig a trench that is at least 18 inches deep and 12 inches wide. The trench should slope downwards, with a minimum grade of 1% or 1/8 inch per foot. If you need to turn the trench, create a gentle curve to prevent water from getting trapped in corners.
Step 3: Add a layer of gravel
Place a layer of gravel or rock at the bottom of the trench, about 2-3 inches deep. The gravel will help to filter the water and prevent clogging.
Step 4: Install the perforated drain pipe
Lay the perforated drain pipe on top of the gravel, with the perforations facing down. Connect the drain pipe to a solid pipe that will lead the water away from your property. Use PVC pipes or corrugated plastic pipes for the solid pipe.
Step 5: Cover the drain pipe with gravel
Cover the drain pipe with another layer of gravel, about 4-6 inches deep. Make sure the gravel covers the pipe completely, leaving no gaps. The gravel will help to filter the water and prevent debris from entering the pipe.
Step 6: Cover the trench
Cover the trench with soil and pack it firmly to prevent settling. Make sure the soil is sloped away from your property to prevent water from flowing back towards your home.
Step 7: Test the French drain
After the installation, test the French drain by pouring water into the trench. Observe how the water flows and check for any leaks or clogs. Make any necessary adjustments to ensure the drain is working properly.
Conclusion
Installing a French drain can be a DIY project that can save you money and prevent water damage to your property. By following these simple steps, you can install a French drain that will effectively redirect water away from your home. Remember to plan the installation carefully, use proper materials, and test the drain to ensure it is working correctly.

4. Strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa)
Strawberries are low-growing herbaceous flowering and fruiting plants with a fibrous root system and a crown from which arise basal leaves. The leaves are compound with three leaflets, sawtooth-edged, and usually hairy.
Flower – Strawberry plants usually begin flowering in late spring, and it takes about four weeks from flowering to ripened fruit. Soil Requirements – Strawberries grow best in a deep, sandy loam soil rich in organic matter Sun Preference – Ten or more hours of daily sunlight is ideal, but this species needs six hours minimum of direct daily sunlight Water Needs – Strawberries require water equivalent to 1 to 1.5 inches of rain per week Hardiness Zone – Strawberries can be grown as perennials in zones 5 through 8 or as cool-season annuals in zones 9 through 10
5. Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum)
The spider plant is among the easiest plants to grow. When grown indoors, it is highly effective in removing harmful chemicals from the air, like carbon monoxide, xylene, formaldehyde, and toluene.
Flower – Spider plants occasionally develop small white flowers at the ends of long arching stems. Often times these flowers are short-lived and inconspicuous. Soil Requirements – The ideal spider plant soil is loamy, moist, and well-drained Sun Preference – Spider plants are a low-light species and grow best with 3 to 4 hours of indirect daily sunlight Water Needs – Water spider plants about once a week Hardiness Zone – 9 through 11
6. Lobelia (Lobelia erinus)
This showy perennial is typically unbranched but may exhibit slight branching. The erect, 2 to 3-foot stems produce lavender-blue, tubular flowers crowded together on the stem’s upper end. Showy, bright blue, purple, rose, or white flowers are in the axils of leafy bracts and form an elongated cluster.
Flower – Lobelia blooms prolifically for months, with a trailing, spreading, or bushy habit ideal for containers and hanging gardens. Soil Requirements – This species thrives in a good, fertile, reliably moist soil Sun Preference – Lobelia performs best in full sun to partial shade (4 to 6 hours of daily sunlight) Water Needs – Once established, this plant is drought-tolerant and requires watering twice a week during dry periods Hardiness Zone – 2 through 10
7. Verbena (Verbena)
Verbena (also known as vervain or verveine) is an herbaceous flowering plant. It may be either annual or perennial, depending on the species you choose to grow.
Flower – This species blooms all season long. Verbena looks just as beautiful weaving through garden beds as it does spilling from pots, window boxes, and hanging baskets. Soil Requirements – Verbena thrives in soil amended with compost but can adapt to many soil types as long as there is good drainage Sun Preference – Verbenas require a location that receives full sun throughout the day Water Needs – This species thrives with approximately one inch of water once per week Hardiness Zone – 7 through 11

Jinx and Her Braids
Ik Jinx’s braids are a part of her LoL design from before Arcane was even a whisper on the Undercity’s streets, but I have to dig into this a bit
Because Jinx, this “free agent of chaos” runs around town, doing jump scares and seeming to be everywhere at once with braids that are the length of her gd body--and anyone who has chopped off even a foot of hair can tell you, hair can feel pretty heavy. She’s not just dodging hits and hoverboards with lightening speed--she’s doing it with weights attached to her skull.
Warning: I do math and then make sad conclusions about Jinx’s motives
Ok, so first things first, I looked up how much hair weighs. I found this video of of a woman weighing, what she claims to be, 4 feet of unbraided hair and when she braids it, the braid coming off her head weighs about 1/2 a pound.
Based on that concept art that’s been circulating, Jinx is 5′3″ and her braided hair seems to reach about ankle length.
I’m 5′2″--not far off from Jinx’s height-- and my ankles are about 2 inches off of the ground, so the distance from my head to ankle is 5 feet. I’d then say that Jinx’s braided hair hits roughly 5 feet down her body. This would mean that her hair has to weigh at minimum .6-.7 lbs.
But considering that unbraided hair is longer than braided hair, we can assume Jinx’s hair is even longer than 5 feet.
And in the video I found, the woman wasn’t using a hairtie, 1/2 a pound was the sheer weight of her braid, meanwhile Jinx is running around with either metal or leather bracelets in her hair. Either of which could bring the weight up to a solid 1 lb or even 2-4lbs depending on if they’re metal or not. (And I definitely think most of them are metal)
All to say, I think we’d be more than generous in merely rounding up to 1lb, and that we could easily say her hair weighs at least 2 lbs or more. So she’s running around, dodging hits and hoverboards with at least an extra pound of weight counterbalancing every turn she makes with her head.
Talk about ow? Talk about headache? Talk about seeing red every time a door closes on your hair or you sit on your hair without enough slack so you have to shift and reposition yourself so your hair is out from under you just you can sit down but all the while your skull is throbbing because your hair is an unrelenting weight on your already really heavy skull?
So, as a Jinx character question, I have to ask why?
Why have this super long hair that has to hurt more than it’s really worth (worth functionality wise)? Cause also it takes commitment to grow your hair that long. You really mean to tell me Jinx never had a breakdown and took a pair of scissors to her locks? (like what clearly happened with Powder’s bangs). Having hair that long is intentional. It takes a long time to grow hair that long. Like years and years and one snip would make for shorter hair when we see her later “all growed up.”
I’d bet Jinx hasn’t cut her hair since before Vi “left.”
The ends of her braids is probably the hair that was on her head when the Vander-family was still together. A possible, but probably out there theory could be that Jinx never cut her hair because it was a way to keep something of herself that she had when she was Powder. (Someone from a culture with a an emphasis on hair braiding could speak more to this than I)
But, knowing this little meow meow, it’s probably because she wants the pain on her skull. Some kind of physical manifestation of the pain happening inside her head from the extra voices her trauma crammed into her mind.
Also, she went from one braid as Powder (copying their Mom’s one braid) to two as Jinx. And if she kept the length for the pain then I like to think she made it two braids because of Mylo and Claggor--the two “ghosts” we see on her backside, over her braids, in episode 6. The braids are the physical manifestations of the weights of their deaths and how it weighs on her psyche.
Thoughts welcome. It’s such an inefficient fashion choice that I’m fascinated.

Look just because that all the adults are like 7 feet tall doesn’t mean that a character who is 5 foot 5 is short
Like, if he were to ever crossover with either Naruto or Bleach Izuku would be about the same height as 17-year-old Naruto and like 2 inches smaller than 15-year-old Ichigo
Izuku isn’t short he just keeps getting surrounded by people who are at a minimum 6 foot tall

We have another game going on here and it is Toyota can't get the super car out there and they can't produce it and market it and people won't let them so as a kid car it would be the grandson in law of Yukio who's after our son and she is up for it.
we said the above mostly and the others a bit
Posieden and Goddess Wife
true a little. and we worked like hell this is what we get more work he says and hahah yes. we do it. this is greatness and yes the Rickshaw story is tue and the name aweful. steven shaw but we all had to endure it. and this is greatness.
Uriel and Goddess Wife
And you would need parts of course and yeah you need parts and high performance parts aftermarket and standard parts and she says that's good enough. And all that stuff works for her it's a stellar car and she says you gotta get the C2 it's kind of that one but it's bigger and looks better and you might fit in it she says what they wanna do is take the prototype and that's something they don't want but they will do that and make the car and make you one in order for it to work. And she says we looked at the rickshaw that's what it is and it is of Japanese origin and they put some sort of small teeny carrot on it and it looks awfully familiar it's like two foot wide and 4 foot long and about 4 foot high and you sit down and the cover goes about three feet about three feet wide and it looked ridiculous but it works and yeah you're bearing down on the horse but there's only like one of you in it mostly and you would have something on the back in a counterbalance the weight and it requires a special harness anyways but you'd have to put a heavy duty one on and that's what this sounds like and it is Japanese almost the whole thing and Tommy F was keeping a secret and he is not planning on doing it and he says I might now I understand how it says you really shouldn't steal this stuff from Japan just in Japan the hand is used like the knife. And yes it looks like Tommy F might try and use Trump to transport it both of them and yeah we're Toyota this would be a Honda no it's the other way around
Yukio
nd real car he says a prototype nd electric the craze sort and good
Thor Freya
this is it and how can he afford it and they say it the g86 would be a wreck no. used nope. well ok used. and a prototype so that is odd and hrd to get
no we see it inherit it. and from whom mrs chen no. Honda she says no way ok they dont get me that and not shipped she smllles we shall see but no that wont do it.
Zig Zag
the cost is up there. Really the cost used is 7 about$12,000 minimum I was wondering what was before the G86 and it's not the supra it was a form of the Celica. That wheelbase is different and he's been in that car going about 120 miles an hour and here it is 2010 they still want money It is 101 inches and it's AC2 and they started with about 140 horsepower but you could get a model with about A180 horsepower and that's good enough because you changed the top end and you change the exhaust You'll end up with about 210 horsepower and 2 120 foot piles of torque which is about where you should be anyways and it will be AC2 to start which is actually what is in the image it's not AC1. This actually defines it more and they will try and get him the old Celica that Trevor had. And somebody was doing that last night. The car looks pretty cool back then some of these are not cheap but usually you can find these for not much money here's one for $7000 it's AGT and some high miles but it goes back pretty far too$7000 $5000 but he says that it will probably be built already and we think that that's not true but Tommy F would build it somehow and that's what he's saying he would do so he's wondering how the hell that would work these things sometimes go for $4000 it's a nice little car and my son and Dodger liked it it was fast zippy and you had four people in it and we would do that with the C2. Right now a lot of people are looking at that car and saying it's very hot and they want to grab it and use it as a prototype and copy it exactly to cause trouble.
JC and Mary got money to purchase the cart but did not buy it disassembled. And the idea would be to put the hull onto the chassis and they're they're very close the prototype is about 100 inches and it's about point 4 on top the Celica is about 100 inches in point three on top and you'd have to make up for it somehow and he says you put a fairing on or a fairing with a fender not a fender it's a that kind of truck and some supercars have those so people are wondering how he would afford it and how JC and Mary got the conversion done. And the top was lightweight and it was erasing carriage and it was new and it was for a different type of horse than the Japanese are used to but it went back to the original type horse which is smaller. Old enough it looks like the Vader but this is new and they're seeing that Tommy F took the place of Honda and that's actually what's going on so they wanna try and get it to him but that's not right it's a Toyota Celica so now you see what he's up to and what he says is it'll light them up at the right time and the max will use them as an excuse and Tommy F doesn't care about it and wants the tech. The video Youngblood is from this event and Trump is fighting over the spot and the car. How they plan to get into them is different because Tommy F modified the carriage at the Revolutionary War and you got the carriage in the first place and it was the one of a kind original and he took it using a similar method give it to Dave to try and blame him so our son and daughter see the game and it's a big game and it's dangerous and huge it still doesn't know how he's gonna afford it because it looks like a real supercar and it would be metal and it would still go kind of slow no if you didn't put a limiter on and you put the speed kit you would be a 200 horsepower it would go about 240 mph which is the speed of most super cars. And a son says that's exactly 2.3 times faster than he's allowed to go and it's true too we don't want him going over 90 ever they can't limit it to go that slow that's kind of true if you go about A110 the gas mile just still be pretty good. And there's some things Tommy F has the hull and he says he might use the G86 because it's a bigger motor and it's a heavier car and of course he puts a limiter on and he built the Ford GT to show people and he's talking about a bigger motor so he knows what he's trying to do and the question comes up again how am I supposed to buy something that looks like that and then drive into the parking lot wouldn't have nothing so let's turn into Asseville
It's a very hot car but if you look at it for a few minutes it's on the level of a Corvette roughly maybe even a little lower. It looks like a sports car
It does look awesome OK but a lot of new cars kind of look like this and there's a few sports cars that have a close look mostly the Corvette which is not that much money so it'd be like a Toyota version of the Corvette and they're probably trying to come out with it. But he doesn't have anywhere near enough money for AA Corvette and he'll be driving this around and he'll have no money. And a bunch of **** will be bothering him but we like him in this this would be nice and on the G86 is acceptable it's a sturdier frame is a little bigger and it fits right on for the most part it is the same size and things would have to be switched out no we wanted to keep it stock everything actually except for the hull and we checked in the dashboard will fit and it does fit nice it's something to look forward to OK
Thor Freya
You're gonna smile when you see why but you know why but still this is a **** **** car and it looks you're correct on the level of the Corvette which really if you put that chassis together it'd be the same speed and it would be nice and it would be fun to go to shows and things like that and to tell them it's AA kit and they'll get the phone number and Tommy F will be making them and he you know he might have you do it as a promotional and he knows who you are and there's a few shows they put on but you're saying if you could just go to car shows cracker Barrel he says that's probably good and he wants to be somebody there tommy if so he would put up a little stand with cards of yours and he smiles and says that's probably the best I've heard it and he'd like to win some contests sometimes you win a lot of money all you'd have to do is drive it around and Hera is lauging as Gilene and it is good he sys. hahah she wnts to drive around with him ok. and She had a Nissan but that is a Japanese company but it's not the company that would push it forwards that's what they're saying.
Posieden and Goddess Wife and yes we are Honda
and Yukio the mama from toyota is Hera's side
and Nissan and she Gilene had one and is covering her mouth lauging saw it recognized the style nd ahhaah wont stop laughing
Posiedon and goddess wife
and dont call me that Zues you fool you ahahah lol ahhaah lol this is fun ok i see it i am to be taken apart and transported to you this blows ahhha lol. and on mychassis and different body style. same company ok
Hera oh boy he says not so sure this would be too good and you suck but ok i will and you see and ok we seek approval need input good ok good honey

💎 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Thomas' Dimensional Trousers Wondrous item, uncommon ___ This flashy set of pants has four pockets that each lead to a special, extradimensional space. Each pocket is six inches wide at the mouth and can hold up to 20 pounds material, not exceeding a volume of 2 cubic feet. The pants always weigh 1 pound, regardless of its contents. Placing an object in one of the pants' pockets follows the normal rules for interacting with objects. Retrieving an item from the pants requires an action as your hand rummages around in side for a few moments before finding the item it's looking for. If the pants are overloaded, pierced, or torn, they rupture and tear, scattering their contents in a 300-foot radius around you. Casting the "mending" spell on the pants daily for 30 days restores the pants' connection to the extradimensional spaces. If one or more pockets are turned inside out, their contents spill forth, unharmed, but the pocket must be put right before it can be used again. Breathing creatures inside the pocket can survive up to a number of minutes equal to 10 divided by the number of creatures (minimum 1 minute), after which time they begin to suffocate. Placing the pants inside an extradimensional space created by a "bag of holding", "portable hole", or similar item instantly destroys both items and opens a gate to the Astral Plane. The gate originates where the one item was placed inside the other. Any creature within 10 feet of the gate is sucked through it to a random location on the Astral Plane. The gate then closes. The gate is one-way only and can't be reopened. ___ ✨ Patrons get huge perks! He started with a 15-minute walk and improved their time and rate. After all, it turned out that the same individuals were mentally sharper after participating in this walking program.

12.How much to walk each day for weight loss
For weight loss, aim for a brisk walk of 30 to 90 minutes most days of the week. You may walk more on some days and less on others, but the total duration of the week should be at least 150 minutes (2.5 hours).
You should walk fast enough to be in the moderate-intensity training zone and between 60 and 70 percent of your maximum heart rate. You should breathe harder than usual and be able to speak complete sentences, but you couldn't sing. You can use your heart rate and training zone reading from the fitness band, app, or heart rate monitor to make sure you are doing a moderate workout.
Although you can devote your walking time to 10 minutes or longer, you gain the advantage of burning fat while walking at a brisk pace for more than 30 minutes after warming up.
If you start walking, start shorter walking times and collect your walking time regularly. At first, you may want to take long walks every day.
Try not to skip more than a day in a row. Consistency is good for burning calories and improving your metabolism, and developing new habits. Try strength training exercises on days when you are not walking. If you find yourself worn, take a day off. But make sure you Start Walking the next day again.
If you have reached your weight loss goal and are working to maintain your weight, the CDC recommends that you spend 60 to 90 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity most days of the week while not eating more calories than you spend all day.

15.Calories and fat Burned in 30 Minutes
You burn 100 to 300 calories in 30 minutes (depending on your weight) or 200 to 600 calories in an hour. When walking for 30 minutes or more, some of these calories will be from stored fat.
During the first 30 minutes of exercise, your body burns stored sugars as fuel. These are used after about 30 minutes. To keep going, your body releases fat from your fat cells and burns it for energy. This stored fat is precisely what you want to lose and is a good reason to increase your walking endurance so that you can walk for more than 30 minutes at a time.
Walk for at least 30 minutes most days of the week to burn a total of 1,000 to 3,000 calories each day of the week and improve your metabolism each day.

Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules.
COURT DIMENSION
The playing court is 18m long and 9m wide and is surrounded by a free zone 3m wide on all sides. The space above the playing area is known as the free playing space and is a minimum of 7m high from the playing surface.
EQUIPMENTS
The basic court equipment is a net attached to two poles or standards. The net measures 3 feet by 32 feet and is made of cotton or synthetic materials. For men's or co-ed matches, the net's height is 7 feet 11 and 5/8 inches and for women's matches, it is 7 feet 4 and 1/8 inches. Additional court equipment consists of padding for the standards and a fiberglass antenna attached to each side of the net. The antennas help determine if the ball has been hit outside the boundaries of the court.
Runners/Court Shoes: Any indoor athletic shoe is adequate for the beginner volleyball player, however, the use of runners versus court shoes can lead to more ankle sprains due to the higher heel height (made for shock absorption) in the runner.
Socks: Due to the repetitive motions required on the volleyball court, blisters are common, but you can avoid blisters by both choosing the correct shoes (see above) as well as the correct socks.
Knee Pads: Knee pads are commonly worn by indoor volleyball players to protect the knee from the impact of the floor when diving for a ball or going down onto one knee when passing a ball.
Ankle Braces: Ankle sprains occur often in volleyball due to the frequent action near the net with many players in a small space at one time.
Balls: Volleyballs come in many colors and sizes, are made with a variety of materials and are designed for either indoor or outdoor play. The volleyball is 25 to 27 inches in circumference, must weigh 9 to 10 oz. and is inflated to 4.26 to 4.61 psi.
BASIC SKILL
Passing is often thought of as the most important skill in volleyball. If you can't pass the serve, then you won't ever put your team in a position to score a point.
The importance of serving is often undervalued. Many coaches don't teach players to serve aggressive and use this opportunity to give the team an advantage for scoring points.
Blocking is perhaps the least taught skill in volleyball. Players can get away with poor blocking skills because not blocking isn't going to hurt the team as much as being poor at executing other skills in volleyball.
Digging is another skill that isn't focused on quite as much as most skills in volleyball.
The setter position is considered to be the most important position in volleyball. The setter basically runs the team offense.
TECHNICAL AND TACTICAL SKILL
A coach has the responsibility of patiently and systematically explaining and drilling the athletes on the basic skills that make up the game. These skills, called technical skills, are the fundamentals that provide each player with the tools to execute the physical requirements of the game.
clearly communicate the basic elements of each skill to the athletes,
construct drills and teaching situations to rehearse those skills in practice,
detect and correct errors in the athletes' performance of skills, and
help athletes transfer knowledge and ability from practice into games.
Reading the play or situation
Acquiring the knowledge needed to make an appropriate tactical decision
Applying correct decision-making skills to the problems at the correct time
RULES
Only 6 players on the floor at any given time:
3 in the front row and 3 in the back row.
There is a maximum of 3 hits per side.
Points are made on every serve for the winning team of rally (rally-point scoring).
Players may not hit the ball twice in succession (a block is not considered a hit).
Ball may be played off the net during a volley and on a serve. A ball hitting a boundary line is in.
A ball is out if it hits an antennae, the floor completely outside the court, any of the net or cables outside the antennae, the referee stand or pole, or the ceiling above a non-playable area.
It is legal to contact the ball with any part of a player’s body. It is illegal to catch, hold or throw the ball.
A player cannot block or attack a serve from on or inside the 10-foot line.
After the serve, front-line players may switch positions at the net.
Matches are made up of sets; the number depends on level of play.
3-set matches are two sets to 25 points and a third set to 15.
Each set must be won by two points. The winner is the first team to win two sets.
5-set matches are four sets to 25 points and a fifth set to 15.
The team must win by 2 points unless tournament rules dictate otherwise.
The first team to win three sets is the winner.
HOW TO OFFICIATE THE GAME
Volleyball officials have a number of different responsibilities, and they must keep a watchful eye on every point for the duration of the match. Two people form an officiating team for each match, with one acting as the head referee who stands on the referee stand, while the other is "down" referee assisting with monitoring substitutions and plays at the net.
Learn the rules and the nuances of the game, and pass a certification course to become a recognized referee. The United States is broken up into a number of different member regions of USA Volleyball, and each region is sanctioned to certify referees. Referees typically have to pass written tests and receive the approval from the USA Volleyball region chair and commissioner to become certified.Practice the hand signals and understand when to make them. Referees need to know the signals for substitutions, illegal contact and fault. They also need to know how to signal whether the ball landed in or out of play. Officials are expected to make the correct call in a convincing matter almost immediately after each play ends.Maintain order throughout the match. Be in constant communication with your assistant referee and the scorekeepers to make sure that both teams are following the rules about substitutions and formations. Be open in communicating with the captains for each team. Understand when is appropriate to give a yellow card for a penalty or a red card for an expulsion.Start the game by marking down the lineup and rotation for each team, flipping a coin with the captains to see which team serves first and signaling the game to begin by blowing your whistle.

An Amateur’s Eye at a Game for the Spry
[all rights reserved to the original owner of the graphic: ESPN]
If you’re like me, I would assume that you are also just a casual fan of sports, and though you watch some games or are acquainted with its presence, you aren’t particularly well-versed in the ins and outs, the DOs and DON’Ts, and just the overall way of how the sports should actually be played.
Well, you’re just in luck because in this blog post, before we review and analyze the Volleyball Opener played by the Philippines’ women team against Vietnam at the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, we will be diving into the needed information to be known about the sport volleyball.
In general, volleyball games tend to stretch between 60-90 minutes, composed of 20-25 minute individual sets (Maddock, 2020). In one game, six players from each team will play, with six extra players waiting by the sidelines to serve as substitutes if and when deemed necessary.
[all rights reserved to the original owner of the graphic: Sports Feel Good Stories and Strength and Power]
Moving on to the next needed information: the court dimensions. In the articles written by Bryan Maddock and by Sports Imports, a typical volleyball court will measure 9 meters in width, and 18 meters in length – or in inch measurements, 29.5 inches by 59 inches. Inside the court are multiple zones with varying measurements as well. The entire playing area in general measures 161 m2. The attack line is the line that separates the front players and the back players, and it measures 9 feet and 10 inches, starting at 3 meters away from the net. The back free zone or the clearance from the back measures at 3-6.5 meters, while the side free zone or the clearance from the side measures at 3-5 meters. There is also a minimum measurement of area with clearances which is 360 m2, whereas the large area with clearances measures at 589 m2. Volleyball courts are made with a variety of the materials, but the most common and most used kinds are: wood, synthetic urethane, rubber and vinyl.
The net measurements shouldn’t also be forgotten. Since there are varying ages and heights coming from players, there are corresponding net measurements to accommodate their build. According to the Sports Imports article, the regulated volleyball net heights are as follows:
Men’s = 7’11.625” measured at the center of the net, 8.375” measured at the antennae;
Women’s = 7’4.125” measured at the center of the net, 7’4.875” measured at the antennae;
Boys’ and Girls’ Juniors = 7’ measured at the center of the net, 7.75’ measured at the antennae;
Boys’ under 10 = 7’ measured at the center of the net, 7.75’ measured at the antennae; and
Girls under 10 = 6’6” measured at the center of the net, 6’6.75” measured at the antennae.

The equipment used in volleyball are actually quite simple. Generally, all you need is the volleyball itself, and the net and its two poles. However, in non-casual games, the players should have their own safety equipment to play as safely and as protected as possible.
Apparently, the balls in this sport have varying sizes and are made of different materials for different purposes. Nevertheless, as stated in the piece written by Michele Howard (2010) about volleyball equipment, the balls have to be 25-27 inches measuring their circumference, 9-10 oz for their weight, and inflated to 4.26-4.61 psi.
The shoes designed specifically for volleyball should also have a gum rubber sole because it creates more traction against the material of the court, which in turn, would support the players’ movements.
The protective gear includes knee and elbow pads (to protect the players’ elbows and knees against floor burns if and when they dive for the balls,) mouthguards (to protect the teeth, lips, cheeks and tongue,) athletic supporters and sports bras, ankle braces (to reduce the risk of the players hurting their ankles,) and gloves (but this one is more utilized by beginners than professionals.)
And last but not the least, volleyball players should also wear proper jerseys that represent their team as well as proper sports shorts that can give them more room for movement.

Next on our list are the technical and tactical skills of volleyball.
Every volleyball player should learn the basic technical skills of the sport, which include but are not limited to: serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking and digging (Human Kinetics, 2011). In the volleyball terminologies article by Gold Medal Squared, it was stated there that serving is the skill of the first contact. A serve can either be an open-handed overhead swing or a closed-handed underhand one. The passing or the pass is what comes after a serve, and it is done by hitting the ball with the forearms. The setting or the set is the second contact after a pass. It can either be a usual set which is done with two hands overhead or a bump set which is done with the forearms. The attacking or the attack is typically the third contact and so on; it is usually the way the players pass the ball using techniques that will cause the other team to lose contact of the volleyball. The digging or the dig is basically the defense; it is how the players defend their team by using techniques like diving or sliding to make sure that they can pass the ball without sacrificing a point. The blocking or the block is how the players prevent the ball from coming over to their side after it is passed by their opponents; it is done by extending both arms above the head with open hands and usually executed near or by the net.
Working hand-in-hand with the technical skills are the tactical skills. Though they are often overlooked when the sport is being taught to beginners, they are still equally important because the tactical skills support the technical skills in a way that ensures utmost quality of play. In the same source as the technical skills, it was stated there that the tactical skills can be approached by the tactical triangle. This approach touches on the three critical aspects of playing volleyball: (1) reading the play or situation, (2) acquiring the knowledge needed to make an appropriate tactical decision, and (3) applying correct decision-making skills to the problems at the correct time.

Like any other sport, there are also rules in volleyball that govern the games. For the sake of beginners (including yours truly,) this blog post will only be touching on the basic rules of volleyball.
The following rules were taken from the article by The Art of Coaching Volleyball (2018), so full credit goes to them:
6 players on the floor at any one time - 3 in the front row and 3 in the back row
Maximum of 3 hits per side
Points are made on every serve for winning team of rally (rally-point scoring).
Player may not hit the ball twice in succession. (A block is not considered a hit.)
Ball may be played off the net during a volley and on a serve.
A ball hitting a boundary line is in.
A ball is out if it hits an antennae, the floor completely outside the court, any of the net or cables outside the antennae, the referee stand or pole, the ceiling above a non-playable area.
3-set matches are 2 sets to 25 points and a third set to 15. Each set must be won by two points. The winner is the first team to win 2 sets. 5-set matches are 4 sets to 25 points and fifth set to 15. The team must win by 2 unless tournament rules dictate otherwise. The winner is the first team to win three sets.
Along with the rules are also the violations that warrant a point in favor of the opponents which can be committed within volleyball games, and here they are as follows:
When serving, the player steps on or across the service line as while making contact with the ball.
Failure to serve the ball over the net successfully.
Ball-handling errors. Contacting the ball illegally (double touching, lifting, carrying, throwing, etc.)
Touching the net with any part of the body while the ball is in play.
When blocking a ball coming from the opponent’s court, it’s illegal to contact the ball when reaching over the net if both your opponent has not used 3 contacts AND they have a player there to make a play on the ball.
When attacking a ball coming from the opponent’s court, contacting the ball when reaching over the net is a violation if the ball has not yet broken the vertical plane of the net.
Crossing the court centerline with any part of your body is a violation. Exception: if it is the hand or foot. In this case, the entire hand or entire foot must cross for it to be a violation.
Serving out of rotation/order.
Back-row player blocking (deflecting a ball coming from the opponent) when, at the moment of contact, the back-row player is near the net and has part of his/her body above the top of the net. This is an illegal block.
Back-row player attacking a ball inside the front zone (the area inside the 3M/10-foot line) when, at the moment of contact, the ball is completely above the net. This is an illegal attack.

Making sure that the games are properly, fairly and safely managed are entirely up on the officiating officials’ shoulders, but it doesn’t hurt for spectators to know how volleyball games are officiated, not only so they can help spot misses and violations, but it also helps enhance the experience of watching the game because as spectators, they’ll also be able to know why certain calls were made or why this became that and so on. To know this, we have to know who the officiating officials are in a volleyball game.
April Bamburg and Laura Williams wrote in their articles that there are, at minimum, 6 officials present in a volleyball game: a scorekeeper, an assistant scorekeeper, at least two line judges, and a first and second referee.
The scorekeeper is responsible for keeping track of the scores all throughout the game and for signaling player substitutions when team coaches deem it necessary. They are also responsible for utilizing the buzzer as a way of notifying the referees for any disparities, irregularities, lapses and calls for time-outs. Next, the assistant scorekeeper is also called the libero tracker because while they assist the main scorekeeper by being in charge of updating the scoreboard, they are also responsible for keeping track of the liberos from each team. After the scorekeepers are the line judges, and these are individuals who are situated at either ends of the court where they are responsible for calling when a ball is in or out, as well as assisting the referees in making judgment calls. At minimum, there should be two line judges, and at maximum, there should only be up to four (at each corner of the court.) With the line judges done, we now have the referees left. Both referees have a general responsibility of calling out violations and overall ensuring a fair and quality play within the game; however, there are differences between the jobs of the first referee and the second referee. The first referee is basically the main referee – they will have the last and final say regarding the game. They control the play, inspect the equipment and the players’ uniforms, and point out scoring issues and violations. On the other hand, the second referee assists the first referee and will serve as the substitute if a situation arises wherein the first referee is unable to make a sound judgment call. Moreover, the second referee is also responsible for all the substitutions and timeouts, and additionally, the actions of the scorers.
Now that we’ve hashed through the required background information about volleyball, we shall move on to the main event of this blog post: the review regarding the Philippines’ game at the 2019 SEA Games versus Vietnam in the Volleyball Women’s Opener match.
For the sake of all the beginner readers, including me, this review will only be making analyses by each set of the whole game – not on each action nor move executed by both teams, but on the sets they play as a whole until the end, and in my words, I will not be able to use much of the technical terms as they are and will merely describe what I am seeing since I am still unfamiliar with the moves associated with those terms. In other words, when the technical terms of the sport show up in sentences but were not used according to its meaning in the sport, then please assume that they were used in their regular and literal meaning.
For reference, we will be watching this video through this link: https://youtu.be/Gm4kGC_d-i8

The first set of the match began with the Philippines serving the first ball, courtesy of Number 19, Rhea Dimaculangan. Right off the bat, defenses were displayed strong and solid by both teams, executing a variety of attacks and defenses that made the game all the more exciting. Not knowing the ins and outs of volleyball, the play they presented would seem ordinary for seasoned players, but for unknowing spectators, the beginning would already be impressive. Where the Philippines would attack head on, Vietnam would defend with their might. But to the Philippines’ delight, PH-Number 6 was able to acquire the first point for both the game and the team, jumping high and striking the ball hard in a way that Vietnam was unable to defend themselves against.
From then on, the match became even tighter. Defenses built up and hits kept coming, but what definitely caught my attention was the feint technique that the Philippines repeatedly took up. I didn’t expect for them to use a tactic like that - having one player hit the ball up high and another who will pretend to hit it but lo and behold, a player unlike the first two will actually end up spiking the ball into a point - but nonetheless, it definitely caught my attention and benefitted them a few points too.
The next thing that definitely caught my eye during the first set was the challenge that Vietnam raised regarding the Philippines’ supposedly 6th point at around the 12:24 timestamp. Bearing in mind that I’m quite unaware of the common things that take place in a volleyball match, I didn’t know that challenges towards a point by the opponent could actually be done. Truthfully, it is one feature of the sport that took me by surprise, but it is also one that I could understand fully because it presented justice for the team who raised it if the point was indeed invalid.
There was, however, one thing that I couldn’t understand. Around the 13:08 timestamp, the Philippines had used up the available 3 contacts on the ball in their attempt to successfully throw back the ball to Vietnam’s side, which they were able to do. However, even when PH-Number 18 didn’t touch the net in her haste to pass the ball to her team-mates for an attack, the point still went to Vietnam. The same thing happened in the 20:47 timestamp, with Vietnam doing almost the exact same thing as the Philippines did, but it wasn’t stopped then. I’ve already asked people I know about what the violation was or what exactly happened for Vietnam to take the point, but unless I’ll be able to contact more experienced players in the sport, I guess I’ll still remain wondering about it.
What I am proud to have been able to point during my watching, though, was the violation that VIE-Number 11 had made at around the 17:15 timestamp, in which she had passed her two whole hands over the net as she jumped to block the ball that was coming their way even when it hadn’t passed the vertical plane of the net yet.
Finally, it was a close match near the end of the 1st set, but the Philippines was able to snatch the win for the set at 25-21.
Now, on to the 2nd set. After the teams switched sides on the court, Vietnam began its serve with the Philippines on the receiving end of it. And just like the first set, the Philippines also takes the first point for this set.
The digs, close saves, spikes and other attacks during this set were really a sight to behold. It may not seem special to some, but it is still incredible to watch for others.
I don’t really have much to say about this set, just that I think the Philippines’ defense during this part of the game wasn’t as successful as they had played hard for it to be which is why they lost the win for this set. Nonetheless, not all hope is lost since there are still more sets for them to take the win for.
Nearing the end of the second set though, the Philippines really did pick up their game and tried their best to turn the game around with a twist, consistently racking in points to catch up to Vietnam’s 24 points. However, even with their commendable offense that made the set a good, tight one, Vietnam had still snatched the win at the end, finishing the set at 25-23.
The 3rd set began with the Philippines’ serve after the teams switched sides, and just like in the past two sets, they were also able to take the first point for this one.
It was in this set that I realized how good PH-Number 19, Dimaculangan is as a server. She served first for the team in all of the sets, and every time, the Philippines always took at least the first point up to the second or third. I don’t think there is any concrete explanation as to why this is, especially since it wasn’t even her serves that got the point but the attacks that Vietnam weren’t able to defend themselves against, but I do still find it interesting that it happened.
In this set, like the others, there wasn’t a consistently big gap that remained between the two team’s points. In this case, it shows how solid the offensive approach that each team has because they are able to catch up to their opponents’ scores – it might not be much of a critical analysis on that part, but personally, I used to think that points were hard to catch up to especially in this game. Granted that it is a professional game between professional players, it is still a new thing for me to see how fast they are able to catch up to each other’s points and lessen the gap, making the sets a close and worthy match each time.
Even with the concrete defenses and the substantial attacks displayed by the Philippine team, Vietnam still took the win for the 3rd set at 25-19, raking the game up to 2-1 sets, in favor of Vietnam.
In the 4th set, Vietnam had served first, but the Philippines, again, took the first point. It wasn’t long, however, before Vietnam tied the game at 1-1 early on, not letting the Philippines take the first three points again without Vietnam at least having one point, just like they did in the past sets.
I’m not sure what it was, but I felt that something was different in the Philippines’ play during this set – maybe a newly fired determination to even out the game? I assume that may be it, but if it wasn’t, then I’ll leave it as it is and continue to fawn over how powerful the Philippine players were especially during this set, quickly building up a gap that got them closer to snatching the win for the 4th set and leaving behind Vietnam to tie out the game.
As the set progressed nearly halfway, Vietnam was able to catch up to the gap that the Philippines built. However, what they weren’t able to do was take the lead since the Philippines always managed to stay ahead of them point-wise and didn’t let the tied scores remain for too long.
Unsurprisingly, the Philippines took the win for the 4th set, finishing at 25-20.
It is now the 5th and final set. The game has been evened out at 2 sets per team. This set is one that most, if not all, people are looking forward to the most because it will dictate which team, the Philippines or Vietnam, will come out the victor for this entire match.
The Philippines served first, but Vietnam took the first point for the set this time.
Since this set required only 15 points for a team to win, it can obviously be seen how powered up the players are to win. Blocks were coming in more frequently, and the two team’s scores never strayed too far away from each other until near the end.
Halfway through this set, the teams switched sides for the last and final time. It was Vietnam who served first after the switch, but the point from it went to the Philippines as a result of their successful spike.
Notwithstanding, in the last five minutes, Vietnam was able to build up a significant gap that placed them more likely to win compared to the Philippines. And when the scores were excitingly at 14-8, in favor of Vietnam, and PH-Number 2 made a mistake in her haste to hit the ball back over to Vietnam’s side after it was blocked by the red-uniformed players, the win was secured for Vietnam as the ball ended up being an out.
Vietnam snatched the win for this set at 15-8 as well as the victory for the whole game at 3-2.
Like the countless times it has been mentioned, as a beginner-spectator for volleyball, watching a big game like this really keeps you on the edge of your seat.
I couldn’t exactly keep track of how many there were, but my amazement always peaked through the roof every time a failed block, dig or spike was done by either of the teams. The reason why is because I just haven’t fathomed completely how fast their reaction times and reflexes are to be able to move as fast as they do to either save the ball from giving their opponents a point or to defend themselves against their counterpart’s attacks. The failed spikes and blocks, especially, were my most favorite parts because it really kept me on my toes by showing how good both teams are at blocking (the literal meaning, not the volleyball terminology) the ball.
One of the main takeaways that I was able to gather from watching the game is that utilizing the space is EVERYTHING. While it is not possible for all the spaces to be taken up and guarded by the six players, it is still important for them to know when and how to move fast enough to defend the unguarded space.
Additionally, I can positively say I’ve gained a newfound respect for volleyball players – to the liberos, especially, because seeing them dive and slide across the floors to receive the balls thrown by their opponent – it made me think of the courage it takes to unhesitatingly do so while also reaching to pass the ball to their team-mates in order for them to be able to attack back and gain a point.
This whole experience definitely left me some lasting knowledge about the sport that I can use in the future once I find myself in a situation where I will be playing volleyball. And while I am still relatively new to this world, it didn’t hurt to analyze and review the gameplay, techniques and skills, and mechanics exhibited by the seasoned players – even if there were times that I found myself a little behind on what they were doing.
That is all for this review post about the Volleyball Women’s Opener between the Philippines and Vietnam at the 2019 SEA Games. If you’ve reached this far, thank you for reading, and see you in the next post! 😊
