“We have to get you fully checked out Andrew. I can’t…” Neil’s voice is tight and scared and Andrew hates that it is his fault that it sounds like that. He doesn’t regret signing himself out in the slightest, not when this was the result, but he’ll accept that he needs to go back.

“Come with me,” Andrew’s hand finds Neil’s again, “Stay.”

Neil blinks and there’s a warm smile on his face again even if the concern and fear isn’t all gone, “I’ll stay.”

Andrew leans in for another kiss.

“Again, I am telling you this as a DOCTOR not as your brother! You cannot have sex with Josten until you are medically cleared! Andrew! Do not do it!” Aaron’s voice cuts through the moment again.

Andrew wants to kill his brother.

Come, all ye that are heavy laden

One of the things that has really stood out to me the last few weeks is that Jesus and the gospel are for everyone. I recently attended church in a ward where most of the attendees are or were incarcerated. Almost all had been excommunicated and were no longer even members of the church. But still they came, and the spirit was there and it felt raw and real and relevant.

In a ward where most people aren’t members, adjustments have to be made. A way is found to help people who are under armed guard feel welcome. Service opportunities and assignments for them and their loved ones are made available. They are specifically welcomed and encouraged in their spiritual journey toward God, regardless of where on the path they may be at the moment. There is an understanding that the need for healing is real.

I imagine this ward exists, at least in in part, to provide a socially and spiritually safe and encouraging environment for those who might be ostracized in a typical family ward because of their history and non-conformity. I am glad the church is seizing the opportunity to minister to these men, extending love, kindness and compassion in a sensitive and caring way to them and their families. I am truly heartened to see how traditional ward structures are stretched and modified to accommodate them and make things work, to meet the needs of the moment and the individual - despite circumstances that might cause others to recoil or cross to the other side of the road and pass them by.

I appreciate how clear it was that those men are specifically invited, despite their past deeds, any feelings they may have about where they are in life, or the internal and external shame that they may feel. They are told repeatedly that Jesus wants them and that their ward family wants them too. That is real Christianity.

Chapter 58: Symphony No. 6

I'm very familiar with Beethoven's Symphony No. 6, since all I watched as a child was Disney's Fantasia lol. The sequence featuring this symphony was my favorite since it had mythical beings. Beethoven wrote this symphony inspired by his love of nature and frequent visits to the countryside. It's funny that when the music started, instead of the Austrian countryside, we see the Japanese countryside. I also enjoyed that Okarun connected the music and rhythm of the Hayashi performance to his own combat rhythm. There's actually a lot of classical music that's very metal, so the connection makes sense!

Highly recommend looking up Symphony No. 6 and giving it a listen, it is a beautiful piece of music!

I found tfp super slow and fell off for a while in season 1 but I came back cause I needed more Jeffrey Combs as Ratchet I need my freak man back

I feel like a bad fan sometimes cause I'm not crazy about tfp or tfa and I think my favorite series really might be G1, it's just the most fun -🌱

aw, i dont know, I find everything slow so i never really had issues with tfp's pacing. I do agree that tfp Ratchet was a highlight, though, my friend jeff stole the whole damn show.

The Journey of Natty Gann (1985). In the 1930s, a tomboy runs away from her guardian to join her single father who is 2,000 miles away, where he has found work.

I'm a bit of a sucker for stories about kids and animals, and in that sense, this is just a really sweet family film. It does a pretty good job of navigating the darker themes both of the Great Depression, and of being a girl alone on a journey, without allowing them to overpower the main themes of connection, adventure and the wild. It did veer into caricature sometimes with the supporting cast, and I wish it hadn't done the romance at the end. 6/10.

He continues to his locker and pulls on his own shirt, underwear, and pants. He’s dressed comfortably for the ride home. “Minyard,” he turns and sees Josten looking at him and wonders if Josten waited for him to be dressed before addressing him.

He raises an eyebrow to show he’s listening.

“It is a standing invitation if you ever want to come. We meet at the bar just two blocks over.” Josten seems to gather his strength before the next one, “It’s called…” Josten looks to Smith who merely looks at Andrew blankly. “It’s called the Howler.” he says as if the name isn’t painful to get out but Smith’s face gives no indication that he has said something that almost had Andrew cringe.

I was so sure. I was SO sure that CH 57 Clock (the chaotic weirdo who hosts ITFT) is basically a dream projection of CH 62 Clock (the normal guy who appears at the end of ITFT 5:00 and 6:00). It made perfect sense with the ~lore~.

But with the release of ITFT 6:58 I'm not sure. I have no idea what's going on anymore.

Sunwapta Falls and a Backdrop of the Canadian Rockies (Jasper National Park) by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: A setting looking to the northeast while taking in views of the waterfalls with a forest of evergreen trees all around. This is in Jasper National Park and along the Icefields Parkway. My thought on composing this image was to take advantage of the viewpoint I was on with the clearing in the trees to capture the waterfall, as well as the river coming downstream. Nearby trees would be a frame for the river and waterfalls, but also include the backdrop of the Endless Chain Ridge.
