Time to check in at the No-Tell Motel

In No-Tell Motel, you play the overnight clerk at a sleazy motel. One of your guests murders another one, and no one much seems to care who did it or why. No one but you, that is.

Playing the game only requires a standard deck of playing cards and a six-sided die. You use the face cards to identify your motel's regular guests (yes, the book comes ready with 16), and the numbers cards to randomly generate things that happen between them.

And unlike most build-as-you-go mystery games, you can make your best guess and still get it very, very wrong.

The nightly spread of the game looks a bit like a hand of Solitaire, and that's on purpose. I wanted playing the game to feel a little bit like something you'd do to pass the time in the small hours of the morning.

Here's how it works.

The rules generate different murder victims and methods, a highly randomized yet still coherent matrix of guest gossip, actions and conflict, and most importantly: a way to find out if your accusation was correct, and what the consequences are for pointing the finger.

Hurt Peter Parker, my favourite tag <3 I love when Spider-Man is a badass and also lacks self-preservation. He's so cool fighting alongside the Avengers and we get some sweet hurt/comfort irondad!

Fitting In (Tiny Spaces) by aloneintherain - Peter's trapped beneath a collapsed building during a mission, hurt and unable to move. Luckily, his comm still works. Unluckily, the Avengers don’t realise how bad of a state Peter is in, and Peter isn’t inclined to tell them.

This fic is an icon in the fandom and for GOOD REASON. I just can not get enough of Peter Parker hiding his injuries. More heavy whump and angst!

All good things come in threes by Bergen - Peter has three secret identities: Spider-Man, the superhero who swings around the city to save people. Parker Benjamin, who gives Tony Stark unsolicited advice on his research. And NightMonkey, the Instagrammer who keeps uploading increasingly popular but embarrassing drawings of Iron Man.

And he can juggle them all just fine, thankyouverymuch.

Okay here is the fluff!!! Peter is a genius, a menace, and a sweetheart. Tony Stark runs into him (again and again) and can't help but have a soft spot for him every time. Funny and cute and an all 'round good time!

Held Together by Spiderwebs by TunaFishChris - Steve is not coping well in the twenty-first century. At all. Three months after the Chitauri invasion, he decides he's had enough.

But just as he's about to end it all, he runs into the new hero in town.

This one focuses a lot on Steve but I really like him and Peter's relationship in it, and I think this is great Peter Parker characterization. TW for discussions of depression and suicide, it gets a bit dark!

5 Times Spider-Man Saved an Avenger's Ass (and 1 Time They Saved Him) by TunaFishChris - this fic showcases how strong and capable Peter is, he's definitely a BAMF. I really like this genre where the Avengers know Spider-Man but not Peter Parker, makes Peter feel more independent and mature like in the comics.

Five Time Faculty Members Had to Call Peter's Emergency Contact + One Time He Shows Up Anyway, Five Times Tony Stark's Fabled Intern Just Showed Up + One Time He Was Invited, and Five Times Strangers Talked About Peter and Tony + One time Someone They Know Did by kingdomfaraway - I am just gonna recommend this entire series. Super fluffy, extreme irondad and spiderson. They're just adorable from an outside perspective and I love when Peter gets to just be Tony's intern and a teenager for a while :)

Bruised and bloody men <3. Just Peter being a badass and getting beat to a pulp. Cool fighting, lots of Peter whump, and of course the Avengers being protective.

Good publicity by Bergen - Between Peter Parker barely speaking, and Spider-Man being the ultimate chatterbox, how was Tony ever supposed to figure out that they were one and the same person?

Tony Stark is secretly a softie for cute kids, especially when they're a genius and have a sense of humour to rival his own. Peter is a foster kid who ends up finding a home with Pepper and Tony, very sweet.

The Third Option by Uncertainty_Principle - When Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.

So he leaves, simple.

Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help.

Heavy TW for this one, mind the tags. This is a popular fic and for good reason. A very mature and realistic portrayal of the foster care system and homelessness. The Peter angst is really great and I could barely put it down, that boy needs a hug so bad.

Now here's some hydra!Peter fics cuz they're my jam:

Peter is a precious chickpea by Bergen - They attack the HYDRA safe house shortly before sunrise.

The only people defending said safe house are Peter and Leo, and Leo slams his cell door open and starts spitting out orders, but then promptly gets clobbered over the head and keels sideways.

So that just leaves Peter. And he’s not even going to try to fight a whole team of Avengers. He looks up at Iron Man filling the doorway. “I surrender.”

He’s never been captured before and he’s not sure what to do. Escape, probably.

This entire series is PERFECT. I just love how adorable Peter is, and all the relationships Peter forms with the Avengers absolutely melt my heart. Peter's characterization in this is really unique and I wish there was more. The Bucky and Peter friendship is everythingggg. I love hydra!peter and bucky fics.

Indoctrination by phoenixon - The Avengers thought they were on a typical assignment: Infiltrate the Hydra base and find the weapon. What they didn't expect was the small boy raised by Hydra that they found instead. And they definitely didn't expect him to stay at Avengers Tower or how he somehow wormed his way into their lives. As for Peter, he just wants to be good and obey what the Hydra men told him so he doesn't get in trouble.

I just really love hydra Peter changing into a sweet and intelligent boy once he's rescued and safe, and how all the Avengers take up such heart-warming parental roles around him.

out there, living in the sun by Hailfire_73 - The Avengers rescue Peter from a Hydra base ran by his father, Richard Parker, except Peter doesn't really see it as a rescue, and has trouble settling into a new life away from Hydra and his father at the Avengers compound. OR - Peter learns how to be an actual teenager, live life, and put his abusive past behind him, and Tony learns how to be a father.

Hydra Peter but he's most definitely a traumatized and moody teenager. I really enjoyed Peter's character arc and the exploration of his trauma. It felt more realistic the way his journey isn't just a straight or clear path. He's more mature in this one and it was a really compelling read, balancing the angst with some humour and fluff. Loved the ending.

Tinker, Tailor, Spider by Bergen - Tony is roped into a mission to transport a teenager to safety. But when things go south, it soon becomes more and more puzzling who the teenager is and what ‘safety’ means for him.

I really enjoy that the author doesn't water Peter being hydra down. Yes he is a highly skilled assassin and a badass who's trauma pervades his every thought and decision. Made me fall in love with the Tony, Pepper, Morgan and Peter as a family dynamic. Super domestic while still highlighting Peter's troubled past.

Ongoing Series - Thai

The Rebound (Weds Gaga) eps 11-12fin - THE STAIRS ARE BACK and now they’re evil! Frank is truly great. He's out acting everyone else, but I'm just happy to see him pine. OK yes, the ending wasn’t awesome but I still really enjoyed this show. 

In conclusion: (deep breath)

This was a sports romance Thai BL pulp with everything I could have asked for given this sub genre. More, actually, since MeenPing are both great basketball players and the team component really did form part of the connective tissue of the show (vital in a sports romance). Meen has his shirt off within the first two minutes which is all I needed but he's still pretty great as the sullen secret keeper against Ping's cheerful survivor - childhood sweethearts torn asunder and now reunited. Then Frank sweeps in to give everyone a bad case of second lead syndrome. I always try to judge BL for what it is AS BL, and what it’s trying to do within its own territory and purview. This did exactly what it claimed on the tin: gay boys play b-ball and fall in love. That was all I wanted from it. Sure there was random kidnapping and a light bought of mass murder, but what’s a BL in 2024 without a touch of the mafia? You do you little pulp, I’m disposed to be pleased.

Thank you, Rebound, for being exactly what I wanted. Is this gonna be anybody else’s favorite BL of 2024? Probably not. But there is a real good chance it’ll be mine. Is it perfect? No. But for me, it got as close as a pulp can get, so I’m giving it 9/10.

My Love Mix-Up Th (Fri YT) ep 9 of 12 - Them being boyfriends is so damn adorable. Like PondPhuwin I think I could watch G4 just be boyfriends for 16 eps and not fuss about anything in life. They're my emotional support pair brand. Back to the show:

My goodness Atom is such a frenetic high strung babygirl. He is a near constant emotional pingpong.

Gold in Table Tennis

K is a teenage saint. The lights thing, and the hands to head (reminiscent of certain previous characters from this pair), all made me coo and laugh. 

However, this ep was mostly about the hets. It’s always funny to me when the gays have their shit figured out in a show but the hets are in chaos.

Also they're touted as "a teacher and a baker" but they're playing the gay dads of this narrative and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. More gay dads in BL!

This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans (Fri iQIYI) ep 5 of 8 - I’m just gonna say it, because no one else is, this pair kisses like they’re in a Taiwanese BL. There’s no other way to put it except there’s a whole body genuine interest and enthusiasm to the way they do physicality that’s comparatively rare in Thai BL. This kind of on-screen sexual maturity is my favorite, especially in grown-up characters like these. The side couple = awesomesause. JJ is a very appealing character. He hates Methas, he likes him, he loathes him, and also... he definitely wants to see him naked. 

All praise aside? I have questions about why half the hair in this show is so absolutely ghastly. Like bad enough for Japan. Enough of that now, Thailand. Tut tut. Cut cut. Style style. Please & thank you?

Century of Love (Weds Gaga) eps 7-8 of 10 - Well THAT is an interesting take on a Faen Fetale. As expected, a somewhat doomy ep 7. I did enjoy the doctor punching San tho.

Meanwhile, that camel jacket is a sin against all things, especially Daou. But I eventually got a crying kiss. I love a crying kiss best in the world. Next week looks good! But I miss my nine tailed fox nod. Will we get back to that or was it just a brief weird thing?

The Trainee (Sun YouTube) ep 5 of 12 - It’s kinda great actually. The romance is the only bit that isn’t really hitting for me. Gun’s smile at the "oppa" is so adorable. His little dimples.

Sunset X Vibes (Sat iQIYI) ep 8 of 12 - I really do not like the pet name in this one. Khun Dad is too weird for me. But I do think their relationship is ridiculously cheesy and endearing in a terrible way. These two are the equivalent of that couple that always speaks in baby talk. It’s a good thing they’re pretty because they’re not so bright. Wait! No Christmas music in my BL! That's far too weird. 

Bronze in Diving

I Saw You in My Dream (Weds Gaga) ep 3 of 12 - I’m liking this a lot better now. It’s still a little slow for me but since the bullying has stopped relatively quickly I’m not as upset as I was. Also, look at those eyes, our P'Seme is IN LURV. That said, I’m not wild about the sudden suicide plot line. That feels... weird.

Battle of the Writers (Sun YT) - TutorYim are back and so far this is better than Middleman's Love - but that's not saying much. For a second there I thought they were going to open on the REAL blindfold scene from Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. But then I remembered that that’s more Mame than anyone else. On a completely different note, I do like this pair. And I’m willing to give them ever more chances. That said this is very, I don’t know, weird? I’m not sure what is happening, and I’m confident that’s not my fault. I hope it makes sense eventually.

Knock Knock Boys (Thurs Gaga) ep 11 of 12 - Peak's dad is so completely frustrating and kind of psychotic. It’s annoying to watch. So I spent most of this episode upset. I'm glad he came around in the end but it was a lot, mostly unforgivable, from this side of the screen.

Love Sea (Sun iQIYI) ep 8 of 10 - It's committing the greatest sin of all (in the realm of entertainment). It's mind numbingly dull. I'd sooner be offended than bored. Trash watch

I Hear the Sunspot AKA Hidamari ga Kikoeru (Japan Weds Gaga) ep 7 of 10 - I don’t remember the camping trip from the manga, but I really enjoyed it in this series.

Takara's Treasure AKA Takara No Vidro (Japan Mon Gaga) ep 5 of 10 - The bit with the kid was cute but I’m still finding this rather slow and the central relationship unappealing. I think the balance of power has to shift for me to engage, and I don’t see that happening anytime soon.

Sugar Dog Life (Japan Sun ????) 10 eps - OMG a uni student who looks too young and a... COP. GAH. The subversion and kink of it all. Please SOMEONE pick this one up?

4 Minutes (Thai Netflix/Grey) - A rich boy at uni suddenly gains the supernatural power to see four minutes into the future. I have a source, but I've decided to hold off and binge if it ends okay, since it's only 8 eps. I depend upon y'all to tell me how it goes.

Meet You at the Blossom (China) - it's your funeral (or, more likely, one of the main characters'). You can argue but... statistics. You know my feelings on this matter. MY BLOG, remember?

8/13 Addicted Heroin (Thai Tues YT) - supposedly Jinlo with air this on their YT channel. Stars August (Love Sick) so I'm excited despite Jinlo's poor reputation. From the trailer it looks like it's following the original pretty closely just Thai style.

8/16 The Last Time (Thai Fri YT) ? eps - Convoluted story of loss and possible reincarnation or something.

8/22 The Paradise of Thorns (Thai movie) theater release - Jeff Satur is back but this does not look like a BL (the gay lover's death is the inciting event). More in Goodbye Mother vein. Looks dark and dramatic. He opposite and extremely well known actor Toey Pongsakorn who has never done gay before.

Addicted Heroin (Thailand adaptation) is also supposed to release this month. GIVE IT TOO MEEEEEE. I don't care about anything else but August back on my screen. It's been almost a decade since he did BL.

I’ll Be Taking That, by porchlightdusk.

You are a goblin, and you are what you hold close: discarded trinkets, unloved baubles, desperate comrades. These precious bits of flotsam give you courage enough to rummage through the treacherous alleys and howling wastes of this world. Venture out from whatever miserable hovel you sprouted and seek the shiny things of the world, oh little chaos beast!

I'll Be Taking That is a tabletop roleplaying game in which a narrator and several players tell the stories of rambunctious goblins in a harsh world. Play is rooted in narrative choices and collective, chaotic joy, supported mechanically by a lightweight inventory-as-skills action resolution system and overflowing random generation tables. IBTT is built on Caltrop Core by Titanomachy RPG and draws heavily on the philosophies of Powered by the Apocalypse systems, among others.

This is a game that situates you into the fiction very well in just the first few pages. Chaotic nonsense is definitely encouraged in this game, and I can feel the undercurrent of mischief sprinkled throughout the book. Trinkets are a core tenet of this game - you will accumulate them as you adventure, and risk breaking them on your worst failures. Your attachment to these trinkets will also rise and fade. If you want a game that lets you embrace your inner gremlin, you might want to check out this game, although be aware - it’s still in development!

Witchblood: Pulp Fantasy Fairy Tales, by Rose on Mars.

On the Way to Chrysopoeia is an epistolary roleplaying game written by Morgane Reynier and illustrated by Marion Bulot. Together with a partner you will be writing a four-handed adventure, first by inventing its two protagonists and then by leading them on a legendary journey. It’s a different way to make up a story in your head: you’ll be reinventing objects and places you see every day, turning them into crucial ingredients for a Great Work of alchemy. 

Reality itself and your daily life will bleed into your characters’ fictional journey. What if your favorite museum was the headquarters for a league of mad scientists? What if the path you’re strolling along lead to an unknown city…? The journey is narrated through the exchange of letters between two characters: the Master and the Disciple. They walk the way of the Athanor— the alchemical Crucible, the pot where explorers melt their research and experiences. Each one is the keeper and judge of their partner’s progress. 

This is a great option if you don’t have a large play group but you have someone with whom you’d like to play with who lives in a different time zone. One of you plays a Master, the other a Disciple. The Disciple is on a quest. The Master is stuck at home, due to age or infirmity. The goal: to find Chrysopoeia, a mythic city full of hope and magic - although the specifics are up to you. This is a largely interpretive game, so if you like writing and world building, this is a game for you.

The creator of this game has also created a game called Chrysopoeia & All Around for group play at a table, borrowing from Lasers & Feelings!

Stormwild Islands, by Gizogin.

Welcome to [Stormwild Islands], a tabletop role-playing game. Set in the Stormwild Islands, a cluster of islands in the middle of a perpetual, continent-sized storm, this game explores the aftermath of a generations-long war and the magical damage done to the world as a result.

In terms of genre, [Stormwild Islands] fits most closely with “gaslamp fantasy”, an early industrial setting with a great deal of magic. Spellcasters are commonplace, and they work alongside new innovations like steam engines to create a world that changes very quickly. Golems - humanoid constructs with minds and wills of their own - have been instrumental in bringing about this new wave of industry, but their use in the war and their newfound push for independence might be even more significant. Alongside all of this is a world of spirits, otherworldly creatures who think and act according to completely different rules, and mixing spirits with humans or golems tends to cause all kinds of clashes.

This is a game for the folks who like moving little guys around on a map, especially if you’re familiar with games like D&D or Lancer and you don’t want to stray too far from the familiar. The cycle of play will fluctuate between combat and narrative moments, so expect your characters to be all about fighting their way towards victory. If you like combat and kicking butt, this looks like the game for you.

The Fae Team, by Almost Bedtime Theatre.

Two years ago, a crack squad of the Sun Guard’s Human Intervention Division was sent to prison by the Faerie Court for a crime they didn’t commit. These woodland creatures promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Faerie Realm underground.

The Fae Team is a role-playing game inspired by The A-Team television show, but puts the players in the roles of skunks, weasels, frogs, etc. and gives them magical powers before sending them through a gargoyle-generated portal into the human world to solve problems. As one does.

The rules of this game depend on a two-stat dichotomy, similar to Lasers and Feelings. You choose a number between 2 to 5, with a higher number indicating that you are good at calm and precise actions, while a low number means you are better at wild and physical actions. There’s also plenty of bits and pieces to make your character unique, such as your faerie gift, and the item that your characters carry around.

A session of this game can be fairly episodic, with an NPC contacting the group for help and giving them a mission that requires entering the human world. While the mission (and its complications) are expected to be generated by the Story Guide, the players are encouraged to describe the world around them and create elements that they get excited about. The easiest way is to look at my Pinterest. But I would say the combination of order and chaos, of seemingly random things or opposite things (evident in the cubes I use for readings). Symmetrical, kaleidoscopic structure. Contrast. Light and space.

Futuristic themes, robots, construction sites, electrical poles, the desert.

Something that can stir a longing or a yearning feeling, for bygone days, a forgotten past, but it's not the actual past, though. It's almost like nostalgia for a far future or a dream world. You feel like you could have been there but you weren't.

We Are (Weds GMMTV iQIYI) ep 1-2 of 16 - University ensemble BL featuring PondPhuwin, WinnySatang, AouBoom, MarcPawinPoon. I like it. It’s old school Thai BL, but having fun with itself and its tropes. I’m not expecting much, so I don’t mind it waffling. All the couples are comfy. Chemistry is okay. Friendships are nifty. I like Pond's floppy hair. We fine.

Living With Him AKA Kare no Iru Seikatsu (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 1 of 10 - Kindly Ryota goes off to uni only to find his new roommate is his childhood bestie, Kazuhito. Kazuhito doesn’t have a girlfriend and Ryota tries to help him figure out why. Same director as Old Fashion Cupcake. It’s utterly charming. I am charmed. Also the framing is gorgeous (of course). Very stylish.

Love is Better the Second Time Around AKA Koi wo Suru nara Nidome ga Joto (Japan Weds Gaga) ep 6fin - I don’t know. Kind of a flat ending with the leads apart for most of it. I enjoyed this show but it never really hit with me. 

Summation

After a teen betrayal and resulting separation a reporter reunites with his first love. That love wants him back. I enjoyed the authenticity of a reunion romance explored in Japan's quintessentially contemplative yet surreal way. The juxtaposition of the tenderness of the sex scenes with this Japanese style of authenticity was oddly elegant but all in all this still fell a little flat for me. There's nothing objectively wrong with it, but in total the narrative felt sluggish and the main couple were just... stiff (in the wrong way). Frankly, I'd rather just rewatch Tokyo in April is. 8/10

Love is like a Cat (Korea Mon Viki) eps 3-4 of 12 - What is going on with this show? No, I get the plot. I just don't get the show or why I’m watching it. Annoying.

Close Friend Season 3: Soju Bomb! (Weds iQIYI) 6 - The problem with situational comedy BL is it must be situational, comedic and a BL. This show gets 1 of 3 claims correct. 33% is not a passing grade. Dropped at 3.

Said superstar suggests they form a sham relationship until filming concludes. As they actually begin to fall in love, the spotlight begins to burn. I think I've seen this before (joke) and also the trailer doesn't inspire confidence.

So when Ki Sub crashes at his place, his heart tingles to be near him everyday. But as the short stay turns into permanent mooch, how long can Jin Woo keep his true feelings under wraps and hold back from confessing?

4/26 My Stand-In (Thai iQIYI) 12 eps - adaptation of Chinese novel "Professional Body Double" by Shui Qiang Cheng. Stars Up (Lovely Writer) and Poom (Bake Me Please) directed by the same team as KP (not a recommendation IMHO - my biggest criticism of that show was the clashing directing styles). This one looks complicated, lemme try: Joe is a stuntman for famous actor Tong. Joe falls in love with Ming but Ming sees Joe as nothing more than a Tong-replacement. After learning this horrible truth, Joe dies. Joe then wakes up in the body of another man also named Joe. He manages to rebuild the same life as before—with the same people eventually re-meeting Ming. Ming wants Joe back but Joe doesn't understand why. But Ming seems to know what's going on and wants to give him some kind of explanation.

I'm exhausted just trying to describe the plot.

Skylie, a demiromantic, demisexual queen, to her bestie Saraia (Her pretty high libido is kicking in and is making her wanna bang the hell outta Saraia)

Also? Feelin spicy, might have some factoids for Skylaia (My ship for Skylie and Saraia)

Skylie and Saraia started having sexual and romantic tension after a decade of knowing each other (In roughly 6024), with signs of it showing up in only 6018.

Cyana and Angeline were the first to notice the tension as Skylie and Saraia were sparring, and whenever they got close they'd flirt.

Skylie is a demiromantic, demisexual, meaning she feels little to no romantic and sexual attraction until she forms a close bond with someone, and for her this would mean being friends for years

Saraia is a transfem pansexual, and prefers women, but will go down on a guy.

When Skylie and Saraia met, Saraia had no feelings for the barely 12-year-old (She ain't Drake), and Skylie didn't have any either, being demiromantic/sexual

As time went on, Skylie experienced a rare yet not unknown trait of some divines made such before adulthood: She kept growing up, and took on particular physical traits as she grew up (Including mermaidism, plenty of new scars, and she underwent puberty)

Saraia started to catch feelings for her once Skylie got closer to adulthood, but still saw her as a daughter/apprentice and didn't do shit as she didn't want to scare Skylie off or be seen as a creep (Again, Saraia may be a villain, but she ain't a pedophile)

Once Skylie became an adult in 6024 (Aged about 22), she began to have a few romantic and sexual feelings for Saraia but buried them, seeing them as only admiration for the elfenne

She continues to mature until she's 25, and then her aging freezes, locking in the tattoos and piercings she got by then. One of these is a 14-pointed star under both of her eyes, right at the tip of burn scars at those locations

By this time, Saraia has the odd wet dream of Skylie, as she picked up a few great traits from her family, including a rocking body.

I feel Skylie's adult voice is close to Navia's from Genshin Impact, which slowly becomes something Saraia is obsessed with.

By the 6030s, and even the late 6020s if you wanna be specific, Skylie and Saraia have fully gotten the sexual tension, and it's so tense others can feel the tension.

Darshaan and Isaac have met at roughly this time, and both are annoyed at this tension

Also, the FGG, knowing the Civil War in Evangeline already raging was gonna boil into an invasion from Folkvar, took the entirety of Drifter's Hollow and moved everyone to Damiscend, where Skylie quickly set them up just outside the capital.

Saraia and Skylie, with Darshaan and Vex joining semi-frequently, will visit the Hollow sometimes, where Isaac and Darshaan met. The two's sheer amount of tension becomes a joke in the Hollow and the Damiscendii Capitol House. Trip and Memo visit more frequently

During the war, Saraia and Skylie stick together, having so many moments where they are super fruity/flirty it's almost annoying/embarrassing, though for them it's purely friendly banter...

...Except Saraia's regularly masturbating to Skylie's selfies and photos she sends Saraia or to recordings of her voice (And often both at the same time), and thinking of her when feeding Iriana (The divine quartet, consisting of Vex, Skylie, Saraia, and Darshaan, all meme about Iriana's need to have consensual sex to be fed by just saying they're feeding her), while Skylie's doing the same (Except not while doing Iriana, she doesn't do that)

Their flirting and tension stay at this will-they-won't-they stage for 80 decades after the GGW, and it's only after Cyana and Cobalt's deaths that Skylie finally realizes she actually wants to be with Saraia

The two finally decide to experiment with being a romantic couple, to the joy of everyone who had to suffer their tension

As an actual couple, they maintain their previous dynamic (Read: None of their family realized the two were dating until one of Cobalt's grandkids catch Skylie being plowed by Saraia)

BTW, it did not take them long to get sexual with their relationship, as the two basically released a century of tension in a month

They were absent for everything for a month as they just went at it

Once they stopped fucking fucking for a month, their dynamic resumed its usual of being a super flirty and physically close relationship, this time with romance and more sexiness under the hood

Skylie's love language is telling Saraia everything she's doing, physical touch, and caring for Saraia

Saraia's is mostly physical touch, but also caring for Skylie (She still sees Skylie as someone to care for, as she saw Skylie as a daughter until they started dating). She also likes to listen to Skylie's passions/special interests, even if she knows nothing about them

As a direct result, the two are almost always directly touching each other when not fighting, riding their mounts, or specific scenarios

One of these scenarios are when Skylie's doing a robot/mech/other mechanical thingy

Another is when Skylie does her concerts, and Saraia is Skylie's #1 fan

Course, they are virtually incapable of going a week without fucking each other like animals, after which they cuddle naked

They do a lot of cuddling, even if neither of them are talking to each other they prefer to do their stuff while having their bodies shoved together

I've mentioned Skylie is about 6'1" in my AU (Compared to her canon future being a shrimpy nerd), and she's slim and muscularly toned, but still has a solid hourglass shape. If I had a gun to my forehead, I'd say she's a bigger D cup as an adult, with an equally wide hip region, and some great thighs (She runs a lot, swimming as a mermaid has got to help with thigh muscles somehow, she performs insane jumps and stunts like they're nothing, and she can keep a door closed against a troll or satyr, she likely has great thighs), and usually wears fairly skin-tight clothing in public (Not always, but it's common).

Also, she's gotten amazing at walking in 11 inch heels, so she looks like she's 7 feet tall if you ignore the insane high heels (Does not wear these if she suspects a fight, if she needs to while in heels, them heels being hurled at the enemy before she starts fighting with only stirrup socks on

Meanwhile, Saraia's like 5'4" and sorta shrimpy (But ripped for an elfenne, who are... Usually sticks, if we're being honest), so she'd prolly look like a fairly muscular female

The height difference is pretty obvious, but also their personalities:

Skylie is pretty much a golden retriever outside of combat, and Saraia's a Short Girl, and she's either a chihuahua or a black cat, no in-between

Both Skylie and Saraia can pick up and easily carry each other around (Saraia's a featherweight to Skylie at this stage, and Saraia's just pretty buff), although Skylie is way better at carrying Saraia, as Saraia's small and light

Skylie, on the other hand, is noticeably heavier than Saraia, and bigger too, so she's a more awkward carry. Also, a frequent thing Skylie does is get herself a bit more upright while being carried, meaning her tits get all up in Saraia's face.

Saraia doesn't complain unless she's tryna not trip over a tile floor. She likes titty, especially Skylie's.

Eventually, the two get married, roughly after Karenza and Isaac (Who's a divine as a result of Project Starblast glitching Isaac and Karenza's souls, so Karenza got her own which became divine with her, but Isaac's soul, which is Karenza's real soul, got fucked up so now Isaac's a divine too) meet, and nothing beyond a couple rings on their fingers changes for them.

Funny thing: The two proposed at the same time. Vex got 3,000 GP in bets from Darshaan with that one

All PPPH Magolor and Chilly Moments Part 2

This is the rest of volume 4. The gang goes to Halcandra and things start to heat up. The romantic implications start at this part.

V4, Ch10 (Landing on Halcandra)

With the Lor restored, Magolor takes everyone to Halcandra as promised. Kirby and DDD are getting excited about the “delicious food”, which causes Chilly to sweat remembering the lie he told.

Chilly then asks if Magolor’s planet is an enjoyable place, causing Magolor to sweat bullets, which worries Chilly.

After they get near enough to see that Halcandra is a volcanic wasteland, Chilly tries telling Kirby and co. not to get their hopes too high, but DDD and Kirby have already jumped out of the ship.

The ship lands near a bunch of abandoned factories, causing Chilly to basically go “What the hell, Magolor”.

The Lor is then attacked by Landia, causing Magolor to say “ That guy again!!”.

When Chilly prompts him, Magolor calls Landia a horrible monster and says that they attacked the Lor and destroyed Halcandra.

Magolor then bursts into crocodile tears once more and asks the gang to help him defeat Landia.

While he is begging, Magolor’s eyedrops fall out of his robe. DDD, BWD, and Kirby think Magolor just had bad eyes, but Chilly knows what they’re really for, though he doesn’t say anything.

Chilly then gets jumped and injured by random enemies (he’s usually not this useless I swear), causing Meta Knight to tell Magolor to take him in the ship (which he does off-screen).

BWD then tells Magolor to leave everything to them, causing Magolor to visibly use his eyedrops to fake cry and say that everyone is a good person, while inwardly thinking about how gullible they all are.

After Kirby sings the enemies to death with Mike Kirby, he tells Magolor to housesit with Chilly, which Magolor happily agrees to while telling Kirby to beat Landia to a pulp.

When Magolor gets back to the Lor he is moving his futon closer to Chilly’s, very happy about being together with Chilly again. Chilly is not pleased with this.

V4, Ch11 (Egg Engines, Metal General Battle)

When the gang runs into Metal General, Chilly asks Magolor about him. Magolor tells Chilly that MG is Landia’s heinous robot henchman and that it’s really smart.

Magolor trembles and cries as he tells Chilly that MG is so smart that…it memorized the entire multiplication times table, which Chilly points out is on the level of an elementary schooler.

After the gang defeat MG, it asks Meta Knight why people like them are taking the side of the invader, which causes alarm bells to go off in MK’s head.

V4, Ch12 (Before the Fight with Landia)

When trudging through the heat of Halcandra, the gang finds a water and food stand owned by a Water Galboros. When Kirby says that they’re here to defeat Landia, the WG says that they won’t permit invaders and attacks them, causing MK to remember Metal General’s words and get even more suspicious.

Meanwhile, in the Lor, Magolor is excitedly showing Chilly footage of Kirby’s fight, but watching videos of volcanoes causes Chilly to melt.

Meta Knight then calls Magolor to ask him about his true intentions. The implied accusation startles Chilly, causing him to accidentally break the communication device with his melting before Magolor can answer. Magolor was sweating profusely with his heart racing, freaking out.

The gang later encounters Dubior, initially very friendly, who was also enraged at the gang’s intent to defeat Landia, and says that Landia is Halcandra’s protective deity.

After the battle with Dubior, Meta Knight is extremely suspicious and asks the gang if they can confirm something, fearing they might be making a huge mistake, but he is interrupted by Landia’s appearance before he can convince them.

Yeah, Meta Knight starts to become important as well. Volume 5 is where things, get really spicy, though.
