claude never managed to escape the almyran court at 16, therefore he never made it to fodlan.... idk if he lives in the palace still or in a private residence in the capital city.
sylvain, meanwhile, fled an arranged marriage to the LAST place people would think to look for him, a notorious hater of hot weather. (well, theoretically, morfis would be less likely, but that makes it one of the first places smart people would check.) he's been fucking around in almyra for the past year or so, and on one of his Escapades, he happens to climb over Just The Right wall to encounter an EXTREMELY jumpy Prince Khalid.

#fire emblem#it's something i've noticed about how people talk about engage#overexaggerated but still#like i get three houses is more serious and has more replay value thanks to the different routes#but idk man a lot of times i was just dreading having to do a map in 3houses#the only time i felt that in engage was in the fell xenologue and after finding out chapter 6 just needs more strategy —#— (unlike sombron who you can just rush given your units are strong enough) I only hate chapter 5 because of its length#and the fact alear needs to dodgetank the entire time and effectively has 0 movement for some reason#but still#long story short engage is overhated on youtube and i genuinely like it more than three houses

Before I ask my question, I want to make it clear that this isn't intended to be a hate thing. I'm simply curious.
How did you get into the Lambert x Rodrigue ship? I'm still relatively new to the Fire Emblem fandom and haven't gone completely through Three Hopes, so maybe that's why I don't understand the ship? I mean. It's really cute, and your art is adorable, but my only question is why? Did they have a certain interaction that was brought up that made you go "yes!" about the ship? Or was it just a "Hey. It would be cool to ship these two so fuck it. Why not?" No matter how you answer, it's completely valid. I just want to try to understand the ship a bit better.
Because I'm a sucker for the King & his most loyal companion trope -- the homoeroticism of it is compelling to me.
But if you must really know the nitty gritty -- Rodrigue himself talks quite often about Lambert in both 3Houses & Hopes to the point where you can basically make a drinking game out of it ( and probably end up absolutely trashed or dead )
#lambert only really appears in one scene#in 3Houses but you can kinda tell he and Rodrigue are close#and Lambert trusts him wholly to the point where he had him promise to look after his son#if something were to ever happen to him#and rodrigue takes it the whole 1000 yards man#true ride and die there#and i know rodrigue is married and all#but they're fictional regardless#and we're here for a good time not a long time#:: koko speaking!
