It's not cute. It's not funny. When you say that to someone who is essentially a stranger, it makes you come off as really fucking creepy. Especially since you don't know if said person could have something like paranoia, and telling them something like that can easily set it off.

Unless you're friends with a person, do not do or say anything that could cross boundaries. Knowing each other is not an invitation to say or do whatever you want.

Punctuating Dialogue

However, if it’s not dialogue exclamation points can also be “outside”!

one of the reasons why i’ve been afraid to post art online is because of ai… like my art is just gonna be stolen by machines… kinda depressing

I fully understand that, and I'm not gonna argue on rather or not you should or shouldn't post art online because of that. It's your art, you shouldn't be pressured to change what you do with it.

As for me, I choose to still post my art in spite of ai generated images. If I see someone willingly supporting it despite the harm to artists, I block them. Prevent them from seeing my account. If they share ai art in an attempt to say it's better or whatever? Blocked.

I used to like ai art back around... 2022, I think it was? Back when it was entirely new and mainly seen as a joke. I thought it was funny and harmless. But as time went on, several prompt givers attempt to steal attention, time, and work from real artists. And not once have I seen an argument from them that say otherwise.

Ai could've worked to help artists. Could have. But so many people and programs opt to instead treat the tool as a job completion button. So only two outcomes can come out.

Either the consumers push back against AI and how willing companies are to be lazy and to avoid paying workers

Or the companies and ai bros realizing ai is only a tool meant to help humanity instead of replace its joys.

Art is not simply a finished product that looks nice. Art is a process that bares the artist's heart, rather subtlety or explicitly. If there is no heart, no humanity in art, it is not art.

You know, as the concept of “zombifying fungi” becomes more and more popular, I notice it still referred to everywhere as like a “brain parasite.” So I guess a lot of people overlooked or forgot how in 2019 it was discovered that cordyceps and other similar fungal parasites leave the brain and nervous system completely untouched. They only control the muscles. They use chemical signals to make the muscles flex in real time where they want to go :)
