The importance of Lumera

Lumera being Alear's adoptive mother is the most important part of the story, and I can not stress that enough

The main theme of the game is importance of building bonds and being open with those around you. Usually, biological family is listed as the most important bond a person could have. What Engage does is deconstruct how your blood can link you to someone terrible and that the healthiest bond for you could be found elsewhere

Lumera may not be Alear's biological mother, but her love for them is so strong that she's still their real mother. She spend 1000 years waiting for them. Caring for them. Giving them part of her life just for the chance that they would someday awaken

Engage spends the entire story emphasizing the importance of building new bonds with everyone in your life and then reveals that Alear's relationship with Lumera is one of those relationships

By reaching out to her, they were able to fill the void in their heart caused by Sombron's abuse

I think Brave Hortensia would bring some interesting insight into her character

Despite her bombastic personality, Hortensia's arc ends with a very somber tone. She had already lost her mother and ends up losing her dad as well. After spending the entire game trying to uphold her reputation as the unfailingly confident princess, her final scene is a quiet moment where she bids good-bye to her father

Hortensia's charm already represents how her mother inspired her as a child. I like to think a Brave alt would delve into how she changes further after Hyacinth's death

We need a Brave Alcryst that reminds people that he's more than a wet cat

My opinion might be skewed because of the first supports of him I got, but I've never really seen him as that much of the sad wet cat prince everyone talks about. This is the same prince who was willing to strike down his father so Diamant wouldn't have to suffer the burden. He sweetly comforts Céline when he learns that she suffers from nightmares. He's outright hostile to Ivy for her role in Morion's death. He actively returns the support he receives from Lapis and Citrinne back to them

Despite his issues, Alcryst has his own kind of strength that he's always willing to use when he needs to
