TBH it’s one of my goals to make a visual novel type deal involving my OCs, something in the vein of like Katawa Shoujo as opposed to those dime a dozen DAZ asset flip porn games you see on Steam. Something with substance, where the lewd content is a reward for getting through a story arc.
Main stumbling block is I’m not much of a writer. I’ve dabbled in fanfics but this is essentially like writing a book, not to mention the branching paths and how some paths may impact others and writing alternate content for those instances.
Planning is, however, important, so decided to throw together a, well, plan for the various paths that would be available. Keep in mind I’ve been sitting on these for like a year or so.
Check the RBs for the other pics, as there’s like 15 OC routes and Tumblr only allows for at max 10 pics per post.
And please, if you’ve questions or comments don’t hesitate to RB or even just comment in the notes. Feedback helps so goddamn much you don’t even know. Bouncing ideas off people is better than just having them existing in the echo chamber of my mind.

Character Design: From Concept to Creation
Creating a memorable character is like cooking up a magical recipe. It’s all about blending imagination, storytelling, and a pinch of technical skill. Whether you’re new to the game or a seasoned pro, the journey of character design is a wild ride full of twists and turns. Ready to dive in? Let’s explore the exciting world of character design, from the first spark of an idea to the final masterpiece!
Step 1: The Spark of Inspiration
Every awesome character starts with a spark of inspiration. This can hit you while reading a book, watching a movie, daydreaming, or even while brushing your teeth! The trick is to grab onto that spark and let it light your creative fire.
Picture this: you’re designing a character for a fantasy video game. Maybe you’re inspired by mythical creatures from ancient tales. You see a majestic, winged warrior with the strength of a lion and the wisdom of an owl. Boom! You’ve got your starting point.
“Inspiration is everywhere and often where you least expect it.” — Chuck Jones
Step 2: Concept Development
With inspiration in hand, it’s time to dive deeper. Develop your character’s backstory, personality, and quirks. Ask yourself fun questions like:
What makes your character tick?
What are their superpowers and weaknesses?
How do they vibe with the world around them?
For our winged warrior, maybe they’re the last of their kind, on a mission to find a magical relic that can save their homeland. They’re brave but feel the weight of their epic quest.
Step 3: Visual Exploration
Now, let’s get visual! Start with rough sketches to play around with shapes, poses, and expressions. Don’t worry about making it perfect; this is your playground.
Think about:
Silhouette: A cool silhouette makes your character instantly recognizable.
Proportions: Play around with exaggerated features to add flair.
Details: Scars, accessories, or funky tattoos can tell your character’s story.
For our winged warrior, try out different wing shapes, armor styles, and facial expressions. Maybe they have a battle scar or a unique emblem showing their heritage.
“Every great design begins with an even better story.” — Lorinda Mamo
Step 4: Refining the Design
You’ve got a bunch of cool ideas, so now it’s time to polish them. Pick the elements that scream "this is my character" and refine them into a slick, cohesive design. Pay attention to colors, textures, and materials to make your character pop.
Create a detailed turnaround sheet showing your character from all angles. This will keep your design consistent and serve as a handy reference for future art or animations.
Step 5: Bringing Your Character to Life
With your refined design, it’s showtime! Bring your character to life in your favorite medium. This could be a digital illustration, a 3D model, or even a traditional painting. Add depth, lighting, and shading to make your character feel real.
Imagine your winged warrior in a heroic pose, wings spread wide, ready to soar. Or if you’re into 3D, sculpt a detailed model with intricate textures and realistic lighting.
Software to Use:
Adobe Photoshop: Great for digital painting and creating detailed illustrations.
Clip Studio Paint: Excellent for character design, especially for comic and manga artists.
Blender: A powerful, free tool for 3D modeling, rigging, and animation.
ZBrush: Industry-standard for detailed 3D sculpting and modeling.
Procreate: Perfect for sketching and painting on the go with an iPad.
“Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.” — Steve Jobs
Step 6: Storytelling and Beyond
A well-designed character is more than just eye candy; they’re a storytelling machine. Throw your character into different scenarios and see how they react. This adds depth and opens up new adventures.
Maybe your winged warrior teams up with an unexpected ally, sparking a new quest. Or they discover a hidden talent that changes their destiny. The sky’s the limit!
Conclusion
Character design is a thrilling journey where creativity meets storytelling and skill. From that first spark of inspiration to the final creation, each step is a chance to breathe life into your ideas. So, grab your sketchbook, unleash your imagination, and embark on the adventure of character design. Who knows? Your next creation might be the next big thing in art and storytelling.
Happy designing!

Hi all.
Today I want to share the result of many days of work.
I finished making a character input field for my application. And although some text editing capabilities are not available, the required minimum is present.
The following text editing options are currently available:
Typing.
Deleting characters using the backspace key.
Moving the carriage between characters.
Selecting characters using the Shift key.
Copying, cutting, pasting characters using the keys Control + C, Control + X and Control + V. Using the clipboard.
The next thing I want to do is read some books about C++. And then continue working on the project.

Calling any cg animated film with a stylised 2D inspired aesthetic “like Spiderverse” or Spiderverse-esque” is starting to become the animation equivalent of describing any experimental movie with a disturbing, uncanny or surreal tone “Lynchian”.
#puss in boots the last wish#puss in boots 2#spiderman into the spiderverse#spiderman#like I get it#Spiderverse is having a significant influence on how studios like Dreamworks are stylising their films and everything#and it’s safe to say bad guys and puss in boots 2 wouldnet look the way they do#would simply not turn out the way they did without Spiderverse proving that not only could a 2d styled character feature film work visually#but also be very successful box office wise#…but like#you guys do know 3D/2D style hybrid films existed before Spiderverse right?#you know Sony pictures animation and marvel didn’t single gandedly invent the concept of a cgi cartoon that looks/movies like 2d animation#right??#and that hundreds of diffrent artists and studios from america to Japan have been experimenting with heavily stylised cg for actual decades#before Spiderverse came along#right????#like I’ll give the benefit of the doubt most people who call The Bad Guys Arcane or Puss 2 “Spiderverse like are simply just#not well read on the subject and history of this style of animation#so I don’t want to sound like I’m punching down at others for simply lacking context on certain things#but at the same time something about it just really irks me because by constantly comparing these distinct and unique looking films#to one film that shares a similar technique just bothers me#as someone said before; Spiderverse is like a comic book come to life#the bad guys is like a cartoon (or to me anyway a cartoony anime)#and Puss in boots 2 is like a lush concept art painting come to life#all of these films while using a similar method have their own distinctive identity and style#and by some animation fans calling Puss in boots 2 or bad guys “like Spiderverse it just feels very reductive and dismissive of these films#and thier respective creators unique creative identities and voices#again it’s a similar reason to why I and other hate it when some film bros call any experimental art film Lynchian#it just undermines what makes that work unique to itself and the artist who made it

Choosing the Best 3D Visualization Studio for Your Real Estate Project
Projects have to be sold in the world of real estate, and creating interest among potential buyers requires great visuals today due to stiff competition. 3D visualization as a whole is changing real estate presentation and people are beginning to realize that 2D drawings just do not cut it anymore, basic renderings can provide some realism but they generate no excitement because the potential buyer still needs an imagination. From residential complexes to commercial spaces, or luxury properties — the type of 3D visualization studio you decide on could be instrumental in breathing life into your project.
Another object of the latest expectation is 3D visualization for real estate, with this blog you will learn how to choose top-rated studio.
1. Evaluate Portfolio and Skill Set
PortfolioFirst of all, take a look at their portfolio as data visualization studio. Since these projects solve real-world problems, you should have a well-rounded portfolio that exhibits various types of properties like residential, commercial or industrial buildings and so on. Look out for a studio that has worked with professional real estate departments like apartments, office spaces and luxury villas. Since they are specialists in your industry, you can bet that these will have a good grasp on the reforms of the market since there are times a very subtle fashion-centred detail could mean everything to an ad piece.
What to Look For:
Variety in project types
Attention to detail
PhotoRealistic Textures, Lighting and Rendering
Feedback on client, and success stories
2. Technology and Tools
3D visualization technology is constantly evolving, and a top-notch studio will use the latest tools and software to create stunning visuals. Cutting-edge tools such as Unreal Engine, Autodesk 3ds Max, or Blender can offer real-time rendering and photorealistic outputs, making the difference between a good presentation and a breathtaking one. Ensure that the studio you choose is equipped with advanced technology that can meet the demands of your project.
Key Tools:
Unreal Engine: Ideal for real-time, interactive 3D models.
Autodesk 3ds Max: Perfect for creating high-quality architectural renders.
Blender: Open-source software known for flexibility and powerful 3D modeling capabilities.
3. Customization and Flexibility
Every real estate project is unique, and your 3D visualization needs will vary depending on the size and scope of your development. The right studio should offer customizable solutions tailored to your vision. From initial concept renderings to fully immersive virtual tours, the studio should be able to adjust their offerings to match your specific goals, timelines, and budget.
Important Considerations:
Ability to customize textures, lighting, and layouts
Flexibility in accommodating last-minute changes
Various deliverables such as 3D renderings, virtual tours, animations, and augmented reality (AR) integration
4. Understanding of Real Estate Market
A great 3D visualization studio doesn't just provide visuals; they understand the real estate market and its audience. They should be able to capture the essence of your project and communicate it effectively to potential buyers, investors, or stakeholders. A studio that understands current design trends, architectural elements, and buyer preferences can add significant value to your marketing efforts.
Questions to Ask:
Does the studio have experience working with real estate developers?
How well do they understand your target audience?
Can they provide strategic input to enhance visual appeal and functionality?
5. Communication and Collaboration
Collaboration is key in any creative process. A successful 3D visualization project requires clear and consistent communication between you and the studio. This includes sharing project goals, design preferences, feedback, and revisions. Look for studios that are transparent about their process and timeline, and are open to collaborative feedback throughout the project lifecycle.

"Day and Night": Pixar's Mesmerizing Blend of 2D and 3D Animation Shaina Tranquilino December 29, 2023 Pixar's "Day and Night" is a unique and captivating short film that effortlessly blends traditional 2D animation with innovative 3D animation techniques. Released in 2010, this six-minute masterpiece takes the audience on a mesmerizing journey through contrasting perspectives of day and night. Directed by Teddy Newton, known for his work as a storyboard artist on several Pixar films, "Day and Night" tells the story of two characters named Day and Night who meet unexpectedly while going about their daily routines. However, what sets this film apart from others is that these characters are not animated in the usual way. Instead, they are portrayed as transparent figures filled with vibrant landscapes representing either day or night. The central theme of the film revolves around the juxtaposition between opposites: light and dark, warmth and coldness, noise and silence. The contrast is visually striking as viewers witness daylight scenes projected onto the character Day's figure while nighttime scenes are cast upon Night's silhouette. This clever design creates an immersive experience, allowing us to observe the world through each character's perspective simultaneously. As Day and Night encounter various situations throughout the film, they begin to realize that their differences can coexist harmoniously. They learn to appreciate one another's unique qualities rather than fearing or resenting them. Through this message of acceptance and understanding, Pixar manages to convey a profound lesson about embracing diversity. What truly makes "Day and Night" exceptional is its ability to tell a story without using any dialogue. The narrative unfolds solely through visual storytelling accompanied by an enchanting musical score composed by Michael Giacchino. From breathtaking sunrise sequences to dazzling fireworks displays at night, every frame is meticulously crafted to evoke emotions within the audience. Moreover, "Day and Night" showcases Pixar's technical brilliance by seamlessly blending hand-drawn animations with computer-generated imagery (CGI). This combination breathes life into the characters while maintaining a distinct artistic style reminiscent of classic hand-drawn animation. The result is a visually stunning film that pushes the boundaries of what can be achieved in animated storytelling. With its innovative approach, "Day and Night" earned critical acclaim and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. It stands as a testament to Pixar's commitment to pushing creative boundaries while delivering heartfelt stories that resonate with audiences of all ages. Pixar's "Day and Night" is a remarkable short film that captivates viewers through its blend of traditional and 3D animation techniques. Through stunning visuals, absence of dialogue, and a powerful message of acceptance, it takes us on a journey where opposites collide and coexist harmoniously. This six-minute masterpiece demonstrates Pixar's ability to push artistic boundaries while delivering emotionally resonant narratives.
