Mazda Iconic SP Concept, 2023. A prototype sports coupé powered by a 2-rotor rotary EV system that can run on hydrogen but also has an all-electric mode. The combined output of the hybrid powertrain is 365hp and it can also be used as a backup power source and supply a family with enough electricity for more than a week. Presented at the Japan Mobility Show, the high output generated by the two-rotor rotary EV system and the weight distribution of around 50:50 are said to "achieve excellent driving performance" but no word of when we might be able to buy one.

Cars.

This one here is my 2015 Ford Taurus SHO. Some are cop cars. Some are just regular front wheel drive family sedans. This one is the former with the guts of the latter. It has a 3.5 liter twin turbo v6 making 365hp and about the same in torque. It’s all wheel drive so it drives like it’s stuck to the road. The fuel economy kind of sucks but it’s extremely comfortable for a so called performance car.

My enthusiasm with cars is in the same vain as my enthusiasm with computers. Complicated, elaborate machines that are all flawed in such a way they feel like a living being. I came to this realization with my first car a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was just such a janky shitbox that it gained a personality from its flaws. Random interior parts would just fall off. It made weird sounds through my speakers. It seemed to outlive everything I threw at it (except its transmission dying). It’s also where my tumblr handle came from because the 4.0 straight six it had was basically indestructible.

Much like how the computers I own are all imperfect to a point that it gives them character. My main PC is held together with hopes and dreams because I was in a rush to put it together. I have a MacBook with a dying GPU. My mockup of my childhood laptop is currently too slow/old for modern use in its original form. I have a sadomasochistic thinkpad that won’t boot unless i pound where the SSD is like a pissed off gorilla. And I have a literal point of sale machine from a papa John’s.

I aspire to have an equally crappy car collection one day.

Far too often, the North American market is left out of some of the coolest performance cars in the industry, but not when it comes to Ford’s sleeper sedans. The Taurus SHO and Fusion Sport were exclusive to North America, and were the quickest cars in their classes. Sharing the same 6F55 transmission and Intelligent AWD, the differences are only apparent under the hood.

The Taurus SHO sports Ford’s 365hp, 3.5L Twin Turbo EcoBoost V6, while the Fusion offers the slightly smaller 325hp, 2.7L Twin Turbo EcoBoost V6. Though quick from the factory, these sleepers come to life with just a tune, and can easily be modified to run 11s and 12s in the 1/4.

Neither car is a lightweight, though. With both clocking in at over 2 tons, it’s amazing to think that both of these family cars hit 60 in just over 5 seconds stock. While not exactly canyon carvers, they’re certainly practical daily drivers that surprise many at a stoplight.

Bizzarrini GT 5300 Strada Spyder, 1968. Designed by ex-Ferrari engineer Giotto Bizzarrini, the GT 5300 Strada was the company's most successful model with 133 built between 1964 and 1968. They were all powered by Chevrolet's 327ci small black V8 producing 365hp. The prototype Strada Spyder was a full convertible and there were plans for an edition of 100 cars made by Carrozzeria Stile Italia (S.I.). However only 2 of the "targa" models were constructed.

Spor sedan sınıfı çok kızışıyor. BMW, Mercedes ve Audi’nin ardından Alfa Romeo’nunda savaşa dâhil olmasının ardından bütün silahlar çekilmiş durumda. Kia herkesi şaşırtarak 2018 senesinde piyasaya sunmayı planladığı Stinger GT modelini tanıttı. Önden motorlu arkadan itişli 4 kapı sedan aracı çok ilgi gördü. Eğer ki bu aracı piyasaya sürmeyi başarırlarsa bizler bile Kia almayı düşünebiliriz!

2,0 litre 4 silindirli turbo motoru 250+ beygir güç üretecekmiş. GT versiyonu ise 3,3 litre V6 çift turbo 365 beygir 0-100 km/s hızlanması 5 saniye olacak ve 8 ileri otomatik şanzımanlı olacak. Her ne kadar manuel şanzıman opsiyonundan kimse bahsetmese de daha detaylı açıklamayı bekliyoruz.

Her ne kadar Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio’nun 510 beygir gücündeki motoru, BMW M5’in yol tutuşu veya Mercedes E63 AMG’nin hırçınlığı üzerinde olmasa da KIA kendisine bu sınıfta yer bulmaya çalışıyor. KIA bu aracı doğru fiyatlandırır ve doğru reklam kampanyası izler ise, diğerleri 400-500binTL civarında gezerken bu arkadaş 100binTL civarına satılırsa KIA TR’de bu sınıfı ele geçirebilir. Araba bunu başarabilecek yakışıklılıkta birde doğru yönetilirse bu iş tamamdır.
