Halloween Binge: Day 7 ☠️

So...tired...😓

I spent the entire day cleaning the house while my family was away, so I listened to somewhat horror or dark-themed music, like "Hide and Seek" by Lizz Robinett, "Villain" by Wild Fire, and "This is Halloween" from The Nightmare Before Christmas movie.

I also watched/listen to a few videos by blameitonjorge, like "Top 20 Unintentionally Disturbing Kids' Characters From Around the World."

Not very exciting, I know, but it's something!

But! I'll be helping to decorate for Halloween tomorrow or Sunday! So that'll be fun!

random facts about random riordanverse characters from my characters doc:

percy jackson: thalia once dyed his hair neon green (which, he has black hair, so no clue how) and it lasted for two weeks before washing out entirely

thalia grace: actually very close to will solace. he treated her when she first woke up, and reminded her of jason. she's basically a big sister now. she threatened nico about him.

nico di angelo: got so nervous about asking will out he accidentally asked in chinese, before reverting to welsh, and then latin. finally, he stutters it out in a mix of greek, italian, and english (luckily will understands all three). unfortunately, will responds in sign language for some reason??? nico doesn't know sign language.

meg mccaffrey: meg has a horrendous obsession with gatorade. like. she won't drink water, it's gatorade or nothing. apollo is SO concerned because he doesn't know what gatorade is and also it looks VERY unnatural.

leo valdez: not only can he cook tacos, he knows how to make tamales. actually, while on the argo ii, he and percy made most of the food. this man can COOK.

will solace: has a habit of always carrying pens around with him (both as a way of keeping close to michael, who collected pens before his death, and just bc he's in the infirmary so much) and he clicks them ALL THE TIME as a fidget. people forcibly take them from him sometimes.

Annabeth Chase: she's autistic and so is her dad. part of why they have so much trouble having a good relationship with each other. they both have really black and white thinking styles.

Calypso: she's like 7 feet tall.

Magnus Chase: he really likes the chronicles of narnia series. when he was a kid, he dressed up like the lion for three halloweens in a row. his favorite is the lion the witch and the wardrobe.

Alex Fierro: felines are easier than canines in regards to shapeshifting.

Sadie Kane: she likes strawberry ribena the best

Carter Kane: he wants to grow his hair out. when he's in his twenties, he does. sadie helps him braid it.

Clarisse La Rue: after her mission in ttc, she's extremely claustrophobic.

Piper McLean: the reason she was so against feminine stuff in TLH is because she was so sexualized by the media when she was girly. so she openly rejected it.

Travis Stoll: makes oddly specific t-shirts about what happens at camp. like, “I defeated the greek personification of time this summer and all i got was this lousy tee shirt.”

Connor Stoll: isn't dyslexic. loves reading.

charles beckendorf: he was 16 when he died, but had finished HS work 2 years early. had been accepted to MIT. he wouldn't have gone, anyway, because of the expense, too far from camp, but-- it had been a nice dream

Nyssa Barrera: she's a year round camper, and always been mad that taking care of harley fell to her.

Lacy: physically disabled. she's got JRA, and is in a wheelchair part time.

Hagging Out October 2022 Hallowtide

Me and Mittens and Me and Circe in my best Witchy outfit Circe is also wearing a witch hat,

So October has been pretty fucking busy and hectic this year, and it just felt different too,

While I know Samhain doesn't have a specific date as it changes seasonally, typically for me I start feeling the season around mid to late August picking up steam throughout September and October peaking on Halloween and slowly rolling into yuletide in early November,

This year however I felt that first brush on August first, and I didn't feel that peak on Halloween, still writing this November 2nd haven't felt that usual peak,

I'm not sure why, maybe it's that while it started getting the fall chill early this year the plants haven't gone to bed, the leaves in my yard haven't dropped fully, barely at all really, there's still so much green left on everything, this is not normal here, so maybe it's climate change, changing Hallowtide as well,

Could be the loss, I spent months with Shy battling her cancer as it slowly ripped her away from me in pieces, to culminate in lossing her September 8th, it's exhausting loss, I'll like spend the rest of the year with metaphorical lead weights dragging my ass down,

Could be that I'm just changing getting older, I'm 30 and nothing in me is as it was, I got my first grey hairs at 23 my knees have always been shitty and my back started joining em, and worse of all my ribs on my left hurt a lot of the time, but with all that has come more experience as a Witch I'm sensing things better and better, after all this time doing magic pursuing this road, I feel like I'm finally getting somewhere,

I wanted to jam as much as I could into this month since for whatever reason October tends to be my most productive month, so I started this month out with @windvexer Red Pepper Spellbreaker which started me out on a good place, though I still felt a little blocked after so right before Hekate's Deiphon I did it again then did a Gate Opening with Hekate after I put Her offerings out on Her night,

I also started out the month by restarting my book Psychic Witch, I'd gotten fairly far into the book and then got stuck on an exercise and sorta fell off working it so I thought I'd start on Exercise one and do one each day for all 31 days, and then to keep going til I got to where is gotten stuck which was on Exercise 37, as a way to kinda reset myself, so I can finish this book, I succeeded and as I want through these Exercises I found myself getting more out of them then my pervious attempt, I found some easier and others found myself in deeper then I'd ever gotten, I'm proud of what I've accomplished with it this month

I also started on the Monday after the full moon on Sunday doing LTZS Witchual Workout, I wanted a way to exercise, to connect with my body and to connect with various energies some which I've never worked with before, I've done some of these in the past at random and found them helpful, so I synced up with them as best I could, I'm of today 24 days into it, I've made it even more of a ritual by giving an offering of water and flame to each energy invoked, as well as finishing with some yoga stretches to avoid cramping up, and meditation,

As to my ancestors I have managed for hmm maybe a year now to do daily offering of water to them, though I been cleaning their altar and adding something extra on Halloween, this year it didn't feel right, maybe cause I was tired maybe cause I'd had a distressing dream of my passed sister that reminded of the angry I still hold for her, which made me want to avoid her picture on the altar, either way I didn't manage to do it on Halloween I just renewed the water glass, though I intend to clean and set out more in the next couple days,

I did get my now yearly Pumpkin cheesecake made with my home grown pumpkins, I had my biggest haul ever with them this year! Though a couple didn't finish ripening and the vines died before they could finish and one big one went rotten before I could cut them up for some reason,

I still have a few to chop and boil as I couldn't fit em all in the pan that was clean so oops,

Anyway I think that covers it mostly, I didn't get much done on Halloween itself and I still have an Ritual to Persephone and Hades to perform along with my formal Ancestor work but I want to get this out while I've got the spoons, so

This is Halloween, this is Halloween. Pumpkins scream in the dead of night. This is Halloween, everybody make a scene, Trick or treat 'til the neighbors gonna die of fright. It's our town, everybody scream, In this town of Halloween.

FRIDAY THE 13TH - PLOT DROP #2

As many know, Friday the 13th is one of the few days a year known for being unlucky. But, what those outside of the Cove don't know, is the reason as to why. You see, Friday the 13th, just so happens to be a day when Pixies can not just temporarily give their luck to another through touch, but can take it. Throughout the day, regardless of the fae's control over their abilities, if a pixie touches another, albeit it accidentally or intentionally, they will steal that individual's luck. The pixie in question will be even more lucky than before, while the person they came into contact with will have horribly unlucky things begin to happen to them one after the other. Their electronics might short circuit, their beverages will spill over, their food will be spoiled etc. But, don't worry. After 24 hours, their luck will be returned to them.

REMINDERS

This is a character-driven event that will span until 10/31.

The tag for the event is lunarcoveevent8. Everything from pictures, outfits, Halloween costumes & threads etc. should be under this tag. Starters should have both the starter and event tag.

While the event is mandatory, it is up to you whether you'd like to react to this plot drop or not.

24 Prompts til Christmas: Day 23

“Christmas or Halloween?” (Quillkiller)

“Trixie,” Rita calls from the kitchen. “Go ahead and put a Christmas movie on. I’ll be there in just a minute with the hot chocolate.”

Bellatrix doesn’t even need time to think about what Christmas movie to play— to her, there is only one good one out there. Without hesitation, she walks over to their dvd shelf and grabs The Nightmare Before Christmas. She slides the disc in and gets settled on the couch under blankets. She has the remote in her hand, ready to hit play whenever her fiancée returns to the living room.

Perfect timing, too, because Rita walks in with one mug of hot chocolate in each hand. She hands one to her fiancée and sits down on the couch beside her. She gets comfortable under the blankets, snuggled up against Bellatrix, and almost tells the raven haired woman to hit play on the remote before gasping. There is no way this is what they are watching.

“What? What’s wrong, love?” Bellatrix asks, looking at her fiancée.

“Trix, I said put on a Christmas movie.” Rita frowns. Perhaps Bellatrix just misheard her, but it still doesn’t make any sense. Why would Rita ask her to put on a Halloween movie?

tumblr is liek  a  72  day  tv  show on binge  setting, 10  episodes,  70  days,   form  peak tv  show  period form  after  american  independence  day  to  september  hogwarts,  ,  we log onmostly   peak  twitter is   july  each  year, spring  break, historically, 

my blog  changes  to  hogwarts  for another 72  days, so then  my  audience  changes,  with the  spetember  time line of  tv to halloween

then the   1  november after halloween  my blog changes again to   whatever  tv  show is on  , post  halloweeen  that  will be  abothe r 10  episodes of  a show, til   valenticnes  liek a new  defacto  relationship, 70  days,  , to  valentines   day the  next  72  days,

And somehow, he showed interest in you. it was at the Halloween party. First, he drank lots of beer, then, he made a scene with Steve Harrington, and later on, he came to you - you were not sure if it was because of the playboy bunny costume, or because you were the only one that wasn't glued to him trying to flirt. Then you saw some shadowy figure inside and you quickly stopped your car and ran inside. Everything went blurry when you got inside, like your mind tried to shut itself off. You vaguely remember some things - like a big scary monster things, some kids you've seen around town, screaming, blood, fire. And Billy.

You went inside just at the moment he stood up, covering a girl on the ground, face to face with that big, giant spider, that wasn't exactly a spider. In the distance, you could see his step-sister, Max, with a terrified look on her face. The monster opened its big mouth, and something like a tentacle came out of it. You screamed, but no one could hear you. The tentacle headed straight for Billy and he grabbed it, trying to save the girl behind him. You could see that Max was screaming too, trying to run to him and help, but a boy held her back. You, on the other hand, ran. But it was somehow slow run. You watched as another tentacle dug into the left side of his body, and another one on the right, and then two more, lifting his body in the air. You could see blood dripping from his mouth. A final one went straight to his chest, where his heart was. You screamed his name.

Billy fell on the ground right when you got to him. You didn't care that the monster wan above you. Hell, you didn't care about anything at the moment, you held his hand in yours and cried. Part of your brain registered that, but your eyes were only looking at Billy. Max ran to you, falling on her knees on his other side. He looked at her too, this time tears falling from his eyes. He coughed out some blood and managed to say something. You could hear a low "i'm sorry" to Max, before he turned his head to you. "I love you" he told you, taking his last breath. Both you and Max cried, repeating his name, begging him to wake up. But he didn't.
